In all the Western countries, especially in the United States, there is a nearly complete blockade of truthful information about the war in Donbass. We had a clear demonstration of how it works when U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Ukraine on May 6.

For the seventh year now, the people’s republics of Donbass have been living in conditions of incessant hostilities. The systematic violations of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side indicate that Kiev and the Western imperialists behind it are not interested in a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

The people’s republics of Donbass have been living in incessant hostilities for seven years already. Systematic violations of the truce by the Ukrainian side indicate that Kiev and the Western imperialists behind it are not interested in a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
It is necessary to resist all attempts to rehabilitate fascism, it is also necessary to prevent its political and ideological revenge in the modern world! Only together will we, the working people of the whole world, be able to counter the fascist threat.

Dear comrades,
The Socialist Unity Party of the United States and our publication, Struggle-La Lucha, send you warm congratulations on the 5th anniversary of the website publication Vperyod (Forward), organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic, on Feb. 15.
From our position, struggling inside the belly of U.S. imperialism, it is nearly impossible to get news about developments inside the Donbass republics from the corporate media. What little is reported there is distorted and slanderous. So the existence of Vperyod is essential to us to receive real information on the situation of the workers’ and progressive movement in Donetsk.
In addition, the comrades of Vperyod never neglect the importance of international solidarity. On your site we can see the great significance that Donetsk communists attach to the international struggle for socialism and against imperialism, through reports and statements of solidarity, not only with the peoples of the former USSR, but with Cuba, Venezuela and many other places.
We cherish the bonds of solidarity between our publications and organizations. Together, we know that a new world — a socialist world — is not only possible, but inevitable.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic calls on all who cherish the memory of V.I. Lenin to come to Lenin’s monuments with red carnations from 12:00 to 12:30 on April 22, 2020, and lay flowers at the foot of the monuments in all cities of the DPR. The action "Red Carnation for Lenin" should be carried out individually, without crowding, with respect for social distancing and in medical masks. We propose on this day to hang red banners on houses, balconies, and in windows as a symbol of the memory of generations, a symbol of confidence and continuation of the path of building a Soviet socialist state, indicated for humanity and first realized in practice by the great Vladimir Ilyich Lenin!

Free Benes Ayo! Donbass defender detained, threatened with extradition by Interpol
On February 11, Benes Ayo, a member of the Donetsk City Committee of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic, was detained in the village of Yarensk in the Arkhangelsk Region. He came to this region of the Russian Federation in order to support opponents of the construction of a landfill in the village of Shiyes, where solid household waste from Moscow is to be dumped. According to preliminary information, our comrade was detained due to a request by Ukraine to Interpol, so he faces deportation to this country.
Benes Ayo is known throughout the world as a fiery fighter for socialism, against Latvian and Ukrainian nationalism, for the freedom and independence of Donbass. In 2014, he came to Donetsk to support the rebellious people. First at rallies, and then at the front with arms in hand, he fought selflessly for the Donetsk People’s Republic. Benes Ayo has repeatedly stated that he is ready to give his life for the Donbass. The deportation to Ukraine of a defender of the Donetsk People's Republic is unacceptable! If extradited, he faces deportation to Latvia, of which he is a native. The Latvian authorities have opened several criminal cases against Benes Ayo for his participation in the conflict in the Donbass. We, the Communists of the DPR, demand the immediate release of our comrade and his return to the Donetsk People's Republic! A member of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic, warrior-internationalist Benes Ayo, was released. He wrote details of his detention by police in the Arkhangelsk region:
“At the police station, they told me that in November 2019, Latvia put me on an international wanted list through Interpol in connection with my military and political activities in the Donbass. ... Of course, I was indignant and told the police that I had not violated the laws of either Latvia or Russia. ...
"Together with my comrades, I defend the people of Donbass from the Bandera punishers, behind whom which stand the snickering Ukrainian oligarchs and Euro-American imperialists. I stand for social justice, building socialism in Latvia, Russia, the Donbass and the entire post-Soviet space. I stand for the restoration of the USSR!"

"One year is a short time, but during this time you have managed to do a lot to expose the crimes of world imperialism and to promote social mobilization of the working people in the United States and abroad. The global system of capitalist exploitation must be countered with international solidarity of the oppressed masses."

On November 7 in Donetsk, on Lenin Square, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Donetsk city organization of the Communist Party of the DPR, the Union of Soviet Officers of the DPR, the women's organization Nadezhda Donbassa, the Lenin Communist Youth Union of the DPR, and participants in the national-patriotic movement held a celebratory concert and rally dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. During the event, they laid flowers at the monument to Lenin, reports the correspondent of the “Forward” website.
At the end of the rally, the Communists joined the international action "No to the blockade of Cuba." Near the monument to Lenin, a collective photo was taken with the slogan of the action and the flag of Cuba, as well as the flags of Venezuela, Syria and Catalonia. “Recent events in Latin America testify to the fact that the ideas of the Great October Revolution continue to lead the masses. The victory of leftist candidates in the presidential elections in Bolivia and Argentina, mass protests in Ecuador and Chile are proof of this. At the head of the left turn in Latin America is heroic Cuba. Today, November 7, at a meeting of the UN General Assembly, the United Nations is once again discussing a resolution to end the blockade of Freedom Island by the United States,” said Boris Litvinov, First Secretary of the Communist Party of the DPR.

Benes Ayo, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Donetsk People’s Republic and warrior-internationalist from Latvia, commented on the initiation of a criminal case against him by Latvian authorities for participating in the conflict in the Donbass:
"The Latvian authorities, without my testimony, without my lawyers, in violation of all international law and human rights, without listening to me, without conducting any investigation, ordered me jailed in absentia. I consider such a trick of the Latvian regime as a flagrant mess and a violation of human rights!"

By Aurora Women's Club and Red Carnation anti-fascists On this day, August 13, 1926, the commander of the Cuban Revolution and leader of the Cuban people was born -- Fidel Castro.
Today we met to talk about Fidel, his contribution to the development of Cuban society, humanism and internationalism. About how Cuba has been transformed during the years of the revolution, why Fidel was hated by the CIA and loved by Cuban workers, about his relationship with Hemingway and his internationalist duty. And most importantly -- about his faith in a better future and the struggle for it.
“The course of history is irreversible. Capitalism with its egotism, its crimes and its vices will disappear, as the feudal and slave societies disappeared. Although a country might regress at times, humanity never will,” said Fidel.

On July 19, Donetsk Communist Party First Secretary Boris Litvinov was the target of an assassination attempt by car bomb.
“Attempts on political figures of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics like A. Zakharchenko, V. Bolotov, D. Pushilin, me and many others indicate that it is too early for us all to relax. It is necessary to strengthen the unity of all politicians, public organizations, and political parties which are ready to defend the ideas and principles of building a sovereign DNR and LPR, for which the overwhelming majority of Donbass residents voted in the referendum in the spring of 2014."
