Do you think since The Spot doesn't have a face anymore and the only "solid" parts of his body are the white parts, he tends to like rub the sides of his head against you?
Of course he can still use his hands in many, many ways but he misses being able to kiss you. He misses that kind of intimacy, the feeling of your soft lips against his, is not quite the same now.
So now he does this.
Bonks, his head gently against you, quietly asking for your attention, your affection.
And you do, you always do without hesitation. You accept his new way of "kissing".
"Hey" Bonk
You chuckle, kissing the solid white part of his face. "Hey"
You feel his arms wrapping around your waist, pulling you close but not too close so you don't accidentally get into one of his lower holes.
"I love you" He whispers against your neck.
"I love you too Johnny"

More Steve thoughts please
I keep thinking about Steve back in his ‘King Steve’ era, he’s obsessed with you, does everything he can to get your attention. You brush it off though, focusing your attention onto a certain DND playing metal head, that Steve had no issues with until you decided you actually liked Eddie. It was like a shot to Steve’s heart, sending him into a spiral of trying to figure out how to get you to want him, he didn’t even care how desperate he was he just wanted one chance with you.
He never would’ve guessed that Eddie himself would approach him with an offering of sorts, one he couldn’t pass up. One that involved you, so he would be stupid not to go for it. Eddie had started dating you, and together the two of you had multiple talks about Steve, how he drove you both absolutely insane but how you couldn’t help but want him, Steve hadn’t really given much thought to being with a guy before, but when Eddie tells him that he’s a pretty boy and you both want to show him a good time he’s blushing profusely, following Eddie outside, thanking whatever ‘god’ or being for allowing him to have something for once as he climbs into the back of Eddie’s van.

We talk about Aziraphale taking off Crowley’s sunglasses, but what about Crowley taking off Aziraphale’s reading glasses?

something about the significance of photographs in utena, how they’re staged, static, always peddling ohtori’s lies, and then something about juri’s cutting of shiori’s picture from their school year photo. that reveal is obviously a great moment but i especially love the use of sound, the locket popping open on the cut to the photo with a crude hole cut in its centre. like, we all know that locket itself is a prison for everyone involved with it, but it’s such a juri certified moment to remove something— shiori’s picture— from one of ohtori’s many means of exerting power, and ending up recreating the same effect on a smaller scale. taking that photo and placing it in a new context that tells an old lie. there is no such thing as miracles. she did not love me. she only had eyes for him. this love cannot go anywhere. and so on and so forth

AU thought just hit me like a freight train, here’s a story concept:
Instead of making Tengwar, a teenage-ish Feanor makes the silmarils early. Everyone is shocked and awed, and a much younger Feanor still doesn’t know how he made them, and he’s a bit more overwhelmed than proud about the whole thing (still proud). He comes home and gives them to dad.
Finwe’s very proud, and Feanor’s wee brothers and sisters are mostly thinking “oooh, shiny”. Melkor still wants. Feanor still denies. Seeding unrest among the Noldor was going to be, ya know, fun, but this is far more interesting. Oh well. It wasn’t that important to make the ants fight.
High King Finwe is murdered not in remote Formenos, but in the Palace of Tirion upon Tuna. The Trees go out. The Silmarils are stolen.
Feanor is, basically, sixteen and now Indis is his legal guardian, the only facsimile of a parent he has left. His siblings are children, and now they also know what it is to lose a parent. There’s the crown to think about?
While the people debate, Indis decides. Feanor is young, but Nolofinwe is eight, Findis ten. And, she knows as she puts the crown on her stepsons head, this was always Finwe’s intention. Some of the Valar are reticent, some supportive, but more importantly, Varda and Yavanna are looking at, not a king, but the only one who got close to recreating their light.
We have a project for us to collaborate on, Feanor. What do you say, king?
Feanor thinks that he is scared. Fear does not come naturally to him but he is completely alone in the world without his father (is there Master Mahtan and Nerdanel? Perhaps. In some ways. Is there his father’s counselors? Some of them, perhaps. Is there Indis? His half-siblings? He… doesn’t know) and he is scared. There is a roar in his heart that tells him to go, go east, retake what is his and avenge his father and…
And Feanor is alone. Who would follow him? He is only king by Indis’s hand. And he killed his father- not intentionally, not even himself, but he cursed him and killed him, just like he did his mother. Feanor wouldn’t follow him either.
But perhaps he can make something new again. Something good this time, given to the right Valar freely, and he will be redeemed in his people’s eyes a little.
And he must wait. Father will surely come back to him soon.
The crown, the light, and his siblings are his responsibility in the meanwhile.

what about a historical au where Ava has alway been a rebel and a straight up anarchist of her time despite being part of a really wealthy family.
and she supposed to fall for JC, a not rich (but still well off) leader of a revolution. she’s supposed to and she does, she genuinely sees herself falling for him, and her parents outrage is just a plus.
enter Beatrice, eldest child of the wealthiest, most powerful family in the UK, who has come in search of a partner, or so everyone thinks. in reality, she just wanted to escape the suffocating grip of her parents and studying abroad, with the promise of coming back engaged, seemed to be enough.
Beatrice’s research leads her to the Silva household, where she gets a warm, over the top welcome from all Silvas but one: infamous, first born Ava Silva, who was led to believe Beatrice’s sole purpose is to charm her into marriage.
in her eyes, she’s the same as every other suitor: greedy, snobby, pretentious and self centered asshole; just a lot more handsome and interesting.
surely nothing would change.

Will’s relationship with Jack can be explored in such interesting ways. Personally, I do think Will associates Jack as an extension of his father (or someone he relates that patriarchal view of) — someone he is known to be “fond” (to some degree) of but not to the point of happiness. There’s an inability to acknowledge the hurt those two figures have caused him because he thinks his righteous actions overshadow the hurt.

whenever i see ppl fantasize abt going to riots with hobie and stealing with hobie and just breaking the law and actually engaging in anarchy i wonder.. is this just a fun thing to do for you, or is it something you actually believe in? would you actually go to a riot? would you really steal? or are hobie’s ideals just cute little things to write abt?

Wait so the drones are waterproof, yes? N was sitting outside chained up, while it was raining. I mean the robot next to him was getting electrocuted? But it could’ve been because of his wires, since they were like—clearly popping out of their visor.

Okay, but.
The Santa Fe Bonus Track but it’s Jack after he decides to stay in New York, and it’s just representative of the lives of the newsies and how in the end, New York was really where he was meant to be.
“They say folks is dyin’ to get here”- the sacrifices that the parents of some of the newsies made to get to America, where they believed a better life lived in store for them
“If you want, I betcha you could see it too”- the people that came before Jack as leaders of the newsies, teaching him how to survive and molding him into the leader he was destined to become
“Where it’s clean and green and pretty”- a perfect, snowy day, when the newsies engage in a snowball fight and other hijinks, just enjoying one another’s company and relishing the camaraderie
“Why, the minute that you get there, folks’ll walk right up and say; ‘Welcome home, son, welcome home to Santa Fe’”- Crutchie being welcomed into the arms of his friends after being released from The Refuge, finally safe.
“Swappin’ tales around the fire”- the newsies sharing stories of past pranks and reveling in nostalgia, remembering who they all used to be and barely believing how far they’ve come
“‘cept for Sunday, when you lie around all day”- Jack and Davey curled up together on the roof, warm and safe as they doze in each other’s arms
“Soon your friends are more like family, and they’s beggin’ you to stay”- Crutchie, Davey, and the others begging Jack to stay in New York when he says he ‘should really be hitting the road’
“Ain’t that neat? Livin’ sweet, in Santa Fe”- Jack realizing that his home is here, with the boys who he grew up with and would die for
“Don’t you know that we’s a family? Would I let you down- no way.”- and then he remakes a promise to himself, one that he won’t leave his boys alone even if it kills him.
“Just hold on kid, till that train makes Santa Fe…”- Jack looking out over the city that he had always wanted to escape from, realizing that if he can just hold on to the newsies and those who love him, he doesn’t need Santa Fe. All he needs is New York, because even with all its faults, it’s now become just as he’d wished- a home, where he has a purpose and doesn’t need to run anymore.

shoutout to pokémon that are commonly hated in canon because of superstitions/beliefs about them.
usually when a topic like that is brought up, people think of absol. not me tho... i'm built different.../ma
one thing i love about murkrow is how bad people in-universe tend to see them; how they think they bring bad luck if you find one at night, and how they believe chanting the workrum phrase would stop it from affecting them. additionally, the belief that they'd lead people away and into mountains to get them lost if someone were to chase them. (though, this one is weird, because early entries suggest it's a belief, but later ones mentioning it say it's true... i'd like to believe that overtime, people began believing it as fact, but i could be missing something)
not to mention how they're dark types, a type of pokémon generally categorized as "evil" or "sketchy" by most, and that possibly could fuel the superstition even more.
in reality, they're just goofy goobers that like stealing shiny things for their Honchkrow/trainer
i love when pokémon worldbuilds like that though. really funky ^_^

Here’s just a little thought, but when you think about Lugosi and Dracula, one of the most incredible thing to realise is the fact that he was born in 1882, more then ten years before the book was even written, yet he was born in the very area his character was supposed to be from. He was literally born in just the right time to bring this character and this story to life. He was there, with his perfect accent at exactly the right time when the story went on stage and he was there to set an example as count Dracula for the next hundred years and more. 😊 And I’m imagining the stories he must have grown up with hearing as a child in that whirlpool of europian folklore and I can’t help but think, when he stood in front of that camera, he might have actually known what the vampire was supposed to be even more than Stoker actually did. ☺️
