January 3, 2023:

I’ll be 28 in exactly one month from today.

That’s wild.

Age is a wild concept in general.

But that’s an entirely different conversation for an entirely different day.

As of today, I’m no longer “sick-sick” so I’m back on coffee - thank the gods. I’ve been up since 5am and have been quite the productive mouse. Began compiling information for an updated resume, started work for the day, made a bunch of phone calls, and made breakfast. I requested the next couple days off of work, which I’m going to use to relax and catch up on my to-do list.

I’ve been really into iced vanilla lattes lately, for my coffee go-to. I always get almond or oat milk in my coffee. But there’s one coffee shop I go to that always offers macademia-nut milk; so I finally gave in. And when I say oh my gods, I mean, ohhhhhhhh my gods. Changed the entire coffee game for me. Luckily, I’m going grocery shopping later today so I’m going to be buying myself a rather large container of macnut milk.

Side note:

I don’t feel good today. Not bad necessarily; just not good. I feel distanced from my body - like, far away. Earth doesn’t feel like it’s directly under my feet, but a few miles below. I feel as though I’m flying. Watching and listening to people from the clouds, not able to interact.

I know meditating could be useful to help me ground myself. So I’m going to give it a try.

Again, not bad - just not good.
