You swore you wanted to puke right then and there upon hearing the name of the boy your “daughter” had punched. Jungshin clearly shared the same sentiment given the look in his eyes as he heard the words coming from the old woman in front of her. Two days in and this mission was already going straight to the gates of hell with a priority entrance ticket.

“She’ll be serving an in school suspension due to the…circumstances around the incident, as will Mr. Ford. But we do need to send her home for the rest of the day.”

You took in a deep breath, nodding in understanding as you looked at Marie, trying to meet her gaze. It was going to be an interesting evening.

“She thinks we’re mad at her and are going to send her back,” he said without being prompted.

As soon as you had arrived back home, Marie had burst into tears apologizing as best as her six year old self knew how - something which had thrown you and Jungshin for a loop. Neither of you had known how to react when it first happened and she had run into her room after stuttering out that she had only punched the boy because he’d hurt her friend. While that made you feel a tad bit better, you both knew it hadn’t been the right call on her part. Jungshin had offered to take the first step to talk to her about it while you tried to clear your head.

“Is it possible for a six year old to get attached so quickly to two strangers?” you asked, sitting down on the couch after drinking a glass of water. 

“To you probably,” he murmured. “You’re easy to get attached to…”

There was no denying the sudden tension that came in the aftermath of his comment. It would be easy to say something kind and lighthearted, but somewhere within you there was a boiling rage filling you. 

“Considering it was something I once wanted and was willing to leave this life for, I’d hope I’d at least be able to do something right for her…” as of two days ago, you wanted to add.

“I wanted that too,” he whispered, barely audible to himself, much less to you.

“What was that?”

Jungshin looked from the floor, “I wanted that too. A long time ago. And I think a part of me still wants that. Still wants you. You’re the one I’ve always wanted.”

Your breath hitched at his words. This certainly wasn’t what you were expecting two days into this mission, or ever if you were being truly honest.

I'm just going to do general stuff not go into details about what he's like as a partner.

I straight off see some anger management problems with Lee Jungshin. It's not that he's always angry but when he gets into arguments with people or with his partners they can get quite heated and sometimes involve some aspect of shouting/punching/hitting etc. Sometimes from him - sometimes from the other or both. He can endure a lot and then suddenly explode in fury/snap like there's no tomorrow. If he can learn to communicate more to his partner when he's already upset instead of bottling things up, then he would less likely snap unexpectedly. It's possible for him to experience some accusation (perhaps in the far future) from an ex-partner.

Besides this, Jungshin's love life is quite busy and he's never really single. He's quite charming and people are easily attracted to him, so often he doesn't need to do much and people will just flock to him or hit on him. He's not looking for anyone that's too intense or serious; he wants fun when it comes to dating. He's not really serious about being faithful. He just wants to experience excitement and fun in relationships.

If it's about marriage, it's a different story - he'd want someone presentable to the public and someone who can earn money or comes from a wealthy family. He'd want someone who can look after the family/kids and will give him a lot of respect/praise. If he gets married, I don't really see him being the type that's often home after a few years of marriage. He'd still want to party with his friends and do stuff he did back when he was single/just dating around. It's more likely that the spouse will feel like they're the only one putting in more effort in the marriage and into looking after the children during the marriage. He can be quite ... uhh how do you phrase it like traditional like the man gets the last word/makes decisions or men aren't the ones staying at home and looking after the kids.

Genre: Romance, Comedy

Review: It is a very entertaining drama, with fun scenes. I really liked how it didn't had tedious and annoying twists. It was fun to watch. I give it a 9 because there were some topics that didn't land as much as I expected but overall, I recommend!!

Favorite character: Kang Yuseong (team leader)
