Speaking of The Witcher Netflix compared to the books (I have to admit, while the books were a lot better than I originally feared, I'm not a big fan of them, especially the last two of the main series were just... weird and unsatisfying; but there are a few details - Geralt himself mostly - that I actually like better in the books than in the show) I'm a bit sad that in TWN Jaskier is always like "Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de Lettenhove" and everyone is like "sure, that's our Jaskier"; but in the books it is kinda a running joke that someone alludes to Jaskier being a noble and everyone is like "wait what WHO?" while Jaskier is basically whistling and looking pointedly elsewhere.

I am going to disappoint basically everyone now:

So I am pretty sure that evil!Jaskier will be kinda important in season 3 of the Witcher. So what if we end up in a standoff situation. Like the whole gang is there and evil!Jaskier and even Geralt can fully trust his instincts. Unless he kisses Jaskier. It happened once when they were both absolutely drunk. And Geralt don't remember anything from that night expect the kiss between him and Jaskie, he let go of everything and just went with it.

So he grabs the one he thinks is his true Jaskier and kisses him. Just like in that one night and if he is the true Jaskier we will be able to let go of everything, cause not even the passionate kisses with Yennefer weren't able to create this kind of feeling.

Directly following their fight and split, Jaskier is enlisted to go off to war. As the son of a nobleman he can pull strings and get away with not going directly to the front lines. But despite his estrangement to his family, he owes it to his people in Lettenhove to serve his duty and protect his lands and people.

So, Jaskier does not shy away from going to the front lines. He becomes a leader and high ranking general, and insists on putting himself in the thick of things.

Jaskier becomes known as the Red Bard, a nickname turned moniker from his men who revere him for his skill bringing blood on the battle field and the gracefulness in which he executes it due to his previous career.

Cue Geralt's reaction.
