Look Who’s Talking (1989)

This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.

Look Who’s Talking has mild electrical-type effects during the opening credits just after the sperm fertilizes the egg. When the birth itself is shown from the baby’s point of view, there are bright flashing lights for just a few seconds, with the picture being safe to watch when we hear the baby screaming. There is a sudden explosion later in the film during a dream sequence when a woman refuses a kiss, using flashing firework effects.

There is one high-speed driving scene. One brief dream sequence depicts peril at extreme heights.

Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: As the opening credits end, and the shot looks down at a toilet, a woman vomits. We hear it, but we don’t see any expulsion. There are extensive conversations about pregnancy and related side effects throughout the film. An unseen character’s eating disorder is discussed multiple times. For a second, we see a character get offended at a joking suggestion that they may be homosexual.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: The opening credit sequence of this film is an accurate depiction of the biological process of how babies are made. In places where fact-based sex education is not a school requirement, this can be used as an entertaining and informative resource.

Hulu's revival of the much-loved adult animated sitcom pivots its focus to mining current events for its initial batch of episodes. Originally premiering in 1999 on the precipice of Y2K as its premise fast-forwarded to the year 3000, the whole gang is back years later in a refreshed setting in 3023 with much more topical humour while maintaining its very familiar sense of sci-fi sitcom antics designed to appeal to existing fans.

Minsky and directed by Arthur Hiller and starred Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, alongside John Marley, Ray Milland, and Tommy Lee Jones in his film debut in a minor role.

The film is considered one of the most romantic by the American Film Institute (No. 9 on the list) and is one of the highest-grossing films of all time. It was followed by a sequel, Oliver's Story (1978), starring O'Neal with Candice Bergen.

Dream ft. Celeb Threesome

Okay, this dream was pulling in some weird mixes and making me a total shut, but I had fun, so....

I was riding in a car with John Michael Higgins. He pulled up to the back of a McDonald's but it was a convince store and had this area where you park and clean your car (or something). He stopped beside the cleaner spot but it was like....some sketchy place people parked to have sex?

He got out and started washing the car, biting his bottom lip as he did, looking provocative. I watched and smiled. He came over to my window and we started kissing. Then he said he got back in the driver side and we kissed some more. Suddenly he's lying on the floor by my feet, like 3 inches tall, doing push-ups. I complimented him and then he was normal size and went into the store for stuff, asking if I wanted anything,

I saw a car pull up behind me and this older guy went to the station (whatever these little park spots are called). I went up and flirted with him, asking if I knew him. He had on glasses, said his name was John, and I said I just had to touch his hair. In my dream, I was a tall gorgeous blonde, so he was interested. I asked if he wanted to go have sex and he shyly agreed.

We got in the backseat of my car, I cleaned some stuff up that was in the way. He got in and was now George Segal. I said we had to get started before my man came back and he was a bit put off until I said he wouldn't mind. We started having sex and then he stopped and we sat there talking to someone in the front seat. George got out to grab a box of donuts and a huge plastic mug (foot tall) of soda cos he needed energy to finish.

He goes to the car behind and is now Bill Bixy. He goes to the car behind us, puts his stuff on the hood and the soda spills all over him. He's soaked. He starts turning green and turns into the Hulk. He gets back in my car and is going crazy about to attack me, realizes he knows (and likes) me, and stops himself from hurting me. But his mind is wonky and he starts laughing like a lunatic! JMH comes back out to help and then I woke up. What even?!
