The British political system would never have let Corbyn get or retain power, which is obviously part of the problem...
But imagine if he'd been PM for the last 5 years, not idiot Tories of ever decreasing morals.

The archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, cancelled plans to meet the Bethlehem-based Lutheran pastor Munther Isaac, saying he could not meet him if he shared a platform with the former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn at a pro-Palestinian rally, the pastor has said. Isaac, the pastor of the Christmas Evangelical Lutheran church in Bethlehem, who has been highly critical of Israel in Gaza, saw his Christmas sermon go viral when he said if Jesus Christ was born today it would have been under the rubble. He spoke at a Palestinian Solidarity Campaign rally at the weekend where Corbyn was also a speaker after being invited by the Palestinian ambassador to the UK, Husam Zomlot.
[...]
In an interview with the Guardian, Isaac said he was told by the archbishop’s aides that if he shared a platform with Corbyn, no meeting could happen. Isaac said: “It’s shameful. It’s not my type of Christianity not to be willing to meet another pastor because you don’t want to explain why you met him. “This sums up the Church of England. They danced around positions, and ended up saying nothing. They lack the courage to say things.” He added: “The small Christian community in Gaza has discovered what is hell on earth. Most of them have lost their homes: 45 destroyed completely and 55 partially destroyed. There is no life left for them. This war will most likely bring an end to Christian life in Gaza. Everyone wants to leave. “It is so painful for us to see the Christian church turn a blind eye to what is happening, offering words of concern and compassion, but for so long they have been silent in the face of obvious war crimes. Churches seem paralysed, and they seem willing to sacrifice the Christian presence in Palestine for the sake of avoiding controversy and not criticising Israel. I have had so many difficult conversations with church leaders. “I know from meeting many church leaders that in private, they say one thing, and then in public, they say another thing. I’ve had the same experience with many politicians and diplomats.” Isaac, on a visit to the UK to build support for the Palestinians, said an immediate ceasefire was “a moral obligation”. He added: “This is not a time for neutrality or soft diplomacy. Gaza should be your moral compass.”

Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, co-founder of Jewish Voice for Labour, has been speaking out against Israel since she was 19 years old. Here she speaks eloquently about the deplatforming, persecution and erasure of anti-Zionist Jews by the media, the Western gentile political establishment and their own community. It's an extremely worthwhile 9 minutes of your time.
Naomi was expelled from the Labour Party last year for supporting Palestine, supporting groups that supported socialists deplatformed for their support of Palestine, and supporting Jeremy Corbyn who supported Palestine. Always remember that the reason the entire UK political establishment embarked on a long campaign of character assassination against the most popular Labour leader in years, that ended in a landslide conservative victory with Boris Johnson as installed as PM, was all because of Israel.

Happy birthday, Jeremy Corbyn! (May 26, 1949)
Leader of the British Labour Party from 2015 to 2020, Jeremy Corbyn has represented Islington North in the British Parliament since 1983. A member of the Labour Party's left wing and an acolyte of Tony Benn, Corbyn has been a vocal opponent of war and interventionism, an advocate for liberation and justice in South Africa, Palestine, and Ireland, and a supporter of socialism in the British tradition. As he made efforts to reorient the Labour Party in a socialist direction during his tenure as leader, he was deliberately and systematically undermined by the party's right wing, which launched a failed leadership challenge in 2016 and dogged him with false claims of antisemitism. After a disappointing electoral result in 2019, Corbyn stepped down as leader and, after the party right regained control, they had the party whip removed from him and refused to endorse his candidacy in the next general election.
"We don't have to be unequal, it doesn't have to be unfair, poverty isn't inevitable, things can and they will change."

“People in Gaza are dying in the darkness. This unthinkable horror cannot be undone — and history will not forgive those who refused to treat Israeli and Palestinian lives with equal worth. Please, we need a ceasefire, now.”

Don’t erase Jews from the story of their own genocide. Two out of every three European Jews were murdered by the Nazis, emptying a continent that was once a center of Jewish life. Almost eight decades later, the global Jewish population still hasn’t recovered from this body blow, and is lower than it was in 1939. Yet acknowledging this fact sometimes seems beyond the capacity of commentators.
Political leaders as diverse as Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau have issued public pronouncements on the Holocaust that failed to mention its Jewish victims. (Trudeau quickly clarified; Trump did not.) In 2017, Canada had to revise an $8.9 million Holocaust monument after officials belatedly noticed that its plaque omitted Jews. Jeremy Corbyn, the onetime leftist leader of Britain’s Labour Party, once co-sponsored a motion to replace the country’s Holocaust Memorial Day with a “Genocide Memorial Day.”
Some of these instances of Jewish erasure are more sinister than others. Often, the brevity of social media leads to unintended offense. In other cases, well-intentioned people are simply trying to draw universal lessons from specific Jewish suffering. But all of these incidents are part of a disturbing pattern in which Jews are excised as inconvenient accessories in the accounts of their own murders. Too often, Jewish persecution serves merely as a pivot to matters seen as more important.
It doesn’t have to work this way. The Holocaust is an indictment of humanity’s treatment of its Jews and its capacity for hatred of the other. The event has both particular and universal implications—and those who press us to pick between them are presenting a false choice.

🐅 about JC for the headcanon ask thing?
OP... I genuinely don't know who you meant exactly by "JC", so I chose to do all three
Characterisation headcanons
Jiang Cheng
You know this cunt has fucking sky high blood pressure. He's going to end up having a heart attack at 43 and it'll make him worse, because the idea of Jiang Cheng doing anything calmly is pure insanity. No doctor will want to deal with him because the only doctor who probably could have is dead and died years earlier, and even then not even Wen Qing could have stood his unmanageable ass. He'll be told to go to Cloud Recesses for his health and will hate every second of it.
2. Jesus Christ
He would love disco.
3. Jeremy Corbyn
Oh he probably loves a pub quiz, does that man.

Someone met Jeremy Corbyn at a pro Palestine march and told him that they gave up on UK politics because of what happened to him.
Jeremy replied "but I'm still here and so are you."
So many things have happened. That often make us feel powerless.
And yet we get up every day and do the best we can.
Even if it's just to use a tik tok filter to raise money. Even it it's just reblogging a post.
Even if you're just going about your day and decide hey let's not buy an item that's being boycotted.
It's something.
And something no matter how small it may seem is better than nothing.
Everytime you think about giving up, remind yourself why you are doing this in the first place.
Everytime you think your voice means nothing, remind yourself why you started speaking up.
Rome wasn't built in a day. You can't change the world overnight, we're in for the long haul.
Keep going.
If you didn't know until recently that's okay, you're here now and that's what matters.
You are enough.
You are not insignificant, your voice means something even if you don't have a large platform.
And when you fall down, remember why you dared to stand up in the first place.
You're not alone.
I'm still here and so are you.
