Timestamp on this is about an hour ago. I'm seeing reports that a few are using roaming SIM cards so a few things are getting out.
Please don't turn away from this. A lot of horrible things are happening with the support of western powers. I'm ashamed to say my country didn't even vote today, didn't even have the balls to admit that we are in the USA's pocket so we have to stay silent on genocide.
I can't stay silent and I'm begging you all not to stay silent. Speak, share, just something.
Gaza and the West Bank need a CEASEFIRE NOW!

LIE OF THE CENTURY
🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza, which is inhabited by 2 million people... has 36 hospitals
There are Arab countries with 30 million citizens and do not have this number of hospitals.
🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was getting water, electricity, gas and fuel for free from Israel.
Of course, there is no Arab citizen who does not pay water, electricity and fuel bills.
🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was receiving $30 million a month from Qatar alone
And $120 million a month from UNRWA
And $50 million a month from the European Union
And 30 million dollars a month from America.
There are Arab countries drowning in debt and cannot find anyone to help them, even with one million dollars.
🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was not besieged, and all goods were entering it, as were foreigners and people of foreign nationalities. Its residents were traveling to Egypt and from there to the rest of the world, and Fafo is the biggest example.
🔴 Suddenly we discovered that Gaza was living better than many Arab countries...and its people were living better than many Arab peoples.
Suddenly...we discovered that our minds were besieged by a programmed lie...by the Brotherhood media.

Repost from @rafternoon
Rest in power and may your name be for a blessing Aaron Bushnell. 😔
If you’re seeing Aaron Bushnell’s bravery and helplessness in the face of horror in Gaza & thinking you should follow, I hope you realize we need you here with us. We celebrate him but we are also deeply hurt and mourning. I wish we got to know him. To organize with him. And you.
I’ve seen generational impacts of one human organizing, I’ve seen things shift, lives saved, bonds built from just a person using their turmoil, empathy, bravery to join our movements. Aaron is a hero in my eyes but so is everyone on the streets, pushing at work, taking risks.
Life is precious and beautiful and powerful. And if you can choose it, if you’re not forced to end it for whatever valid reasons, I would really celebrate you sticking around. Every day. We need everybody.

Israel may be small in size, but it is vast in its diversity and historical richness. Imagine a place where within just a few hours, you can transition from the serene, mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, to the snowy peaks of Mount Hermon. This is a land where ancient history and cutting-edge innovation coexist in harmony.
From the bustling, modern cityscape of Tel Aviv, alive with vibrant culture, technology, and nightlife, to the timeless tranquility of the Negev Desert, Israel is a country of contrasts. In the north, the lush Galilee region offers breathtaking natural beauty, with forests, hills, and waterfalls, alongside communities from diverse cultural backgrounds living together.
Jerusalem, a city sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims, stands as a testament to the country's layered history, with its ancient walls and bustling marketplaces narrating stories of the past and present. Meanwhile, coastal plains alongside the Mediterranean offer sandy beaches, archaeological sites, and seaside towns, each with its own unique character and history.
The climate varies from region to region, supporting different ecosystems and agricultural products. From the Golan Heights' vineyards to the date farms of the Jordan Valley, Israel's agricultural landscapes are as varied as its people and history.
Despite its compact size, Israel is home to a mosaic of cultures and traditions, languages, and cuisines. Each community contributes its own piece to the complex puzzle that is Israeli society, creating a vibrant and dynamic nation.
In Israel, the past and the future are intertwined, with ancient archaeological sites sitting alongside high-tech cities. It’s a place where every stone has a story, every city a different melody, every landscape a unique beauty. Despite its small geographical footprint, Israel offers a rich tapestry of experiences that defy its size.
Hebrew is the official language of Israel, with Arabic also holding official status.

oooohhhh research idea for fun: a closer look at the portrayal of World War II in Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and Masters of the Air (when it comes out), since all three were released in three drastically different political landscapes + Hollywood eras.

I want to hold myself accountable and make sure the language I use is not inadvertently antisemitic. The language I use needs to be more specific about who and what I am critiquing.
I made a post about the israeli government-funded ad that ran during the superbowl.
Let me be clear, this ad and the ad sponsored by the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) also run during the superbowl aren’t related. It is important that the two aren't conflated. The ad sponsored by FCAS is not involved in the violence on Palestine, rather the ad was created in response to the increase in antisemitism since Oct. 7.
And while it is true that the israeli government can produce ads and/or other types of media propaganda, by no means should the antisemitic trope that "Jews control the media" be spread. A superbowl ad wasn't run to distract you from the ongoing violence in palestine. If you felt like you were distracted, that has everything to do with you.
Myself, and everyone else, need to be mindful about the way we express the information we share no matter how well-intentioned it may be.

And I was an Operations Room Sergeant in a helicopter squad in the Air Force, a role that positioned me at the heart of mission planning and execution.
This meant I was responsible for the crucial task of coordinating between the pilots, ground staff, and command to ensure that all operations were carried out smoothly and efficiently.
I monitored real-time flight data, communicated mission updates, and managed the logistical details that are essential for successful helicopter deployments.
This position required a keen eye for detail, quick decision-making, and working well under pressure, ensuring that our team was always prepared and responsive to the dynamic needs of air operations.
Growing up as the daughter of an air crew father and an Air Force English teacher mother, the spirit of the Israeli Air Force is deeply ingrained in our family's heritage.
This lineage has instilled in me a profound sense of duty, pride, and respect for the meticulous teamwork and precision that define the Israeli Air Force.
My military service was meaningful, empowering, and holds great memories.
The IDF is like no army in the world, not only in its groundbreaking innovations and excellence but in its moral and ethic codes.
I will forever be proud of serving my country as part of the IDF.
