Sees you want to talk about Raida Me: It's real free estate My question for yours trully is what's her sense of fashion? what does she like to wear?
opens up Pinterest
You opened the rabbit hole.
SO-
A lot of her fashion sense is like inspiration from femme fatales who are around their mid 30s (Raida is around her late 30s)
Black is her signature color, moving along the most common autumn colors like reds and oranges with small dashes of green.
Also furs. insert Cruella De Vil Raida likes furred coats because it gives her the feel of the Jazz Era/1920s where women were flappers and said "fuck social norms".

“do you still like her? after all she did?” yes, i do, because she’s a fictional character and liking her doesn’t mean anything about my irl principles or morals. in fact, i think it’s very important for you, kevin, to learn the difference between fiction and real life. people are allowed to like fictional characters with questionable morals/actions without meaning they want something like that to happen irl.

Jafar: Maybe we wouldn’t sound so bad if some people weren’t trying to play with big, rusty hooks!
Hook: What did you say, bilge rat!?
Jafar: BIG. RUSTY. HOOKS.
Hook: Well, this hook ain’t just for attacking flying scallywags!
Jafar: Bring it on, codfish! Bring it on!
Persephone: *getting in between them* No, people. Let’s be smart and bring it off.
Cruella: Great, now the talking flower is going to preach to us.
Hades: What did you just say about my wife!?
*cue the villains fighting each other*

Hit the SLAY button.
Got inspired by a few peoples’ drawings of AFO in a dress, so I drew the guy
I don't like his face, but I personally like how i rendered the dress

You're walking home, or to work or school, or wherever- and you get caught in the rain. It starts to downpour. Like, big fat droplets of Gaia tears; Thick 'my son-husband has secretly hidden children within me causing a terrible migraine so welp; here baby Cronus, take this flint sickle and castrate brother-daddy' kinda rain. I'll stop with the Greek Mythology now, I'm sure you get it. Heavy rain.
You're getting soaked despite whatever you're using to protect your skin from it all (A binder, a bag, your jacket, a hat,.. an umbrella perhaps), your nose is cold, and you can barely see 10 feet in front of you apart from any street lights around, when-
A car pulls up directly next to you. You have the horrible panicked moment of 'am i going to be kidnapped today', before you recognise the car and the side door is thrown open in front of you.
Your F/O gestures and/or calls for you to get in. They knew you would be out at this time (They're familiar with your basic schedule ^^), saw the downpour and thought immediately 'Oh shit wait, Y/N's out in this'- and came right over to get you out of it.
What's their car like? Is it sleek and well taken car of? Is it a regular old thing? Does it look like its gonna break down any time now?
Do they have a blanket for you to throw over your legs? Or do they throw you their coat??~~~
Do they enforce seat belts? Are they gonna refuse to go if you just pull the blanket over your shoulders and 'forget' (Or genuinely forget) to buckle up or will they lean over and buckle you themselves?
Are they taking you to your destination or are they taking you to their house because you need a hot shower and to get warm or you're gonna catch a cold? Are they kind about it or bossy? XD
Will they stop by a drive thru to get you something to eat and/or drink? Maybe something lovely and hot?? Or are you two the crazy people who eat ice cream when its cold 'cuz it wont melt'?
Possibly most importantly; Is their any chance that your F/O would kick you back out into the rain for any reason? XD

You know, I think what i fear most about all these soulless Disney remakes is that one day they'll take Hunchback of Notre Dame, one of the strongest and most daring Disney movies ever in its depiction of showing the dark sides of religion without demonizing faith as a whole, and that they'll take Judge Claude Frollo and either make him "sympathetic" or way less extreme than in the original, since Disney is nowhere near as ballsy to do something like directly criticize religious extremists anymore, I think, and that would just DESTROY the great impact that movie's messaging had.
That's not to say I have anything against sympathetic villains, but Frollo is one that was so strong BECAUSE of how awful he was and the position he held, and that fierce kind of villainy should NEVER be changed in his case imo. Very strong teaching moments in there for kids.

Wrote up a whole essay about how the Cruella de Vil song from the animated Disney film is really damn weird in context, then deleted it all.
In the real world it would be akin to Tom Cardy writing a burn track about Coco Chanel and it being such a banger it gets played on top radio stations and makes Cardy enough money to buy the Hype House, and NO ONE in the Chanel estate attempts to stifle it or consider it slanderous in any way.

So I watched that new Hunger Games movie despite never reading the books or watching the other movies, and like. Even without the knowledge that Snow is the big bad in the other movies, I like... never felt bad for him??? Are people feeling bad for him???? I only found out what his role in the trilogy was AFTER the movie, when my friend was explaining some things to me
It was very clear to me that it was his own actions that was ruining his life- he couldn't really commit to either side and was playing both of them so he could get money. And like... yeah, it sucks his family was struggling financially, but it's very clear to me that that wasn't his entire motivation. Idk. He's hot and all but he's not sympathetic in the slightest, and I thought the movie did a really good job at that- especially knowing how many people he harms in the future.
Idk I just don't see how anyone could sympathize with him, especially knowing his character much better than I did
