SUMMARY: Tony Stark is Persephone. Stephen Strange is Hades.

When Thanos, the Mad Titan, breached the walls of the Underworld, in a bid to kill Hades and make Persephone his own, the King and Queen of the Dead cast a spell.

A spell of time and souls, so that their love would be everlasting and so that they never would be without one another. So that their soul and immortal spirit would continue to reincarnate into different human bodies for cycles to come, and so that they could always find each other, not matter when or where.

And for centuries, through the fall of Alexandria and the Salem Witch Trials, through the rise of the Ottoman reign and the fall of the Roman Empire, it works.

Until Persephone wakes alone in a cave, surrounded by ash, smoke and sand, and Hades wakes alone in Kamar Taj, drenched in water and with blood on his sheets.

Both alone.

And as the Infinity Stones start popping up around them again, and the oddness of this cycle continues, they know that the reckoning is approaching, that the end is near.

That the Mad Titan is once more at their door.

Autumn prompt. Maybe IronStrange in a café? 🥺😅

A bit of a cheat since I'm so behind on my prompts! So, here's a snippet of my IronStrange BigBang, which fits this prompt nicely!

‘But why is it red?’ Stephen asked for what felt like the tenth time, peering into the coffee glass skeptically.

‘Because it’s red velvet latte,’ Tony answered, just at patiently as he had all the other times he’d been asked. ‘Stop dissecting it and drink it,’ he laughed, whipping Stephen’s shoulder with the edge of his apron before putting it back on.

It was sweet, a little overly so for his tastebuds, but that didn’t make it horrible. The color was unique, and the foamy cream on top in which Tony had created a little pattern was aesthetically pleasing. The only thing Stephen wasn’t sure about was the consistency, it was thick, almost like drinking cake batter.

‘Verdict?’ Tony called from across the kitchen, already preparing his next one.

‘It’s better than the mushroom coffee,’ Stephen agreed, placing the cup down next to said coffee, his stomach turning as he looked at it.

‘That’s because you have a sweet tooth. That one is meant to be packed full of antioxidants and promotes thinking…alright,’ he conceded at Stephen unimpressed look. ‘Yeah, it doesn’t taste that great, but things that are good for you usually don’t.’

Stephen hummed in agreement, stretching down his hand to scratch Friday’s head, his pants now coated in her toffee fur.

‘Honestly, if she’s bothering you just ignore her,’ Tony told him again.

‘She’s not,’ Stephen reassured, patting the kitchen stool beside him, delighted when she did as bid, allowing him to stroke down her spine rather than stooping to stroke the top of her head. ‘Besides, I think she’s like her owner…won’t leave me alone even if I wanted her too,’ he muttered, scratching her shoulders.

As afternoons went, this was quickly becoming one of his favorites. Tony’s kitchen was warm, a rare sunny fall day. What made it even better was the view of Central Park from where he was sitting, a blaze of crimson and burnished copper leaves spreading out before them, a musky sweet smell of fall breezing through one of the open windows.

Placing his elbow on the island kitchen counter, Stephen rested his chin in his palm, watching Tony. He was so used to seeing him in his Starkbucks uniform that seeing him in comfortable wear was still a bit of a shock. He was wearing the same navy sweatpants from the night Stephen had spent here, and now he took the time to fully appreciate the way the material clung to his thighs and ass, his bare feet peeping out from the bottom. He’d seen Tony without a top on last time he was here, but hadn’t looked beyond the scar on his chest, distracted with other things happening.

Unfortunately, Tony was wearing a black vest this time, which only revealed muscular shoulders, but Stephen could see his them flexing now as he worked and he wondered what those muscles would feel like under his hands, if Tony’s skin was as soft as it looked.

Friday meowed at him, and he dragged his attention away from ogling her owner, torturing himself with something he desperately wanted.

‘What’s next?’ Stephen asked, continuing his petting of Friday’s back, smiling at her as she trilled happily, arching her back into his caresses.

‘Blueberry caramel,’ Tony answered, tossing a blueberry at him and rolling another on the floor for Friday to scamper after.

‘Blueberry…’

‘Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!’ Tony laughed, popping a handful of blueberries into his mouth and grinning through them. ‘You wouldn’t turn your nose up to a blueberry muffin with your coffee, right? The sweetness works well against the coffee taste, so I thought why not try it?’

Stephen nodded, chewing on his own blueberry thoughtfully.

‘The caramel would work well too. Do you mind if I get a glass of water?’ Stephen asked, needing to clean his palate after all the other coffees Tony had made him try, giving a small glare to the pineapple cherry coffee.

He hated pineapple.

‘Hang on, give me a second, I’ll get you a glass,’ Tony told him, placing the carton of blueberries down and reaching up to try and reach in those ridiculous high cupboards of his.

Yes, authors can work on and publish more than one work! However, during artist claims, we prioritize 1:1 matches across the board first. This means your first work will have an artist collab, but whether your second work does depends on artist sign-ups, outcome of the claims period/matches, and other factors.

In the past, we also had artists who wanted to do extra pieces, so this is another factor the Mod team will consider.

2019 Fandom Resolutions

@lacrimula-falsa tagged me (thank you!) and forced to me think about... things.

1) Finish stories, not only start them. I’ve been doing much better with Ironstrange than in any fandom before but I still have 4 current WIPs and sooo many more ideas. And prompts.

2) Finish one story every week. I don’t write long things so this should be manageable. *crosses fingers*

3) Get better (read: faster) at responding to messages that are not prompts. Those take time, the rest should have a faster turnaround time. (Hahaha, who am I kidding?! Not gonna happen. Sorry. I love every message and will eventually answer it.)

4) Get over my hesitation/shyness and maybe join an exchange/bigbang or whatever else comes along in the Ironstrange fandom. I always have the feeling of not being good enough and not being able to produce enough words for those things. Also, deadlines are the enemy.

5) Read more stories and tell the authors how much I love their work. 💞

He stretched his legs out as he woke up, moving his tongue around in his mouth and grimacing at the sour taste. His eyelids were gummed shut and Stephen had to raise his fingers to help pry them apart, swearing at the sting. Sharp pinpricks suddenly dug into his arm, and he launched up onto his elbows, wrenching his stomach muscles as he looked down blearily at the perpetrator.

‘Was that you?’ he asked the cat curled up on its side, paws kneading in the air as it purred on the bed beside him. Dragging himself up so he could rest against the headboard, Stephen cautiously offered it his hand to sniff, smiling as it purred louder, bumping its head into his palm, closing its eyes in bliss. ‘You’re a Bengal, aren’t you?’ Stephen asked, stroking under its chin and then trailing his fingers over the spots in its fur, the tawny brown and coffee blending in with the stark black markings.

Hearing footsteps outside the door, Stephen slid back down into the bed, curling on his side so he was facing away, his breathing measured as he stared at the unknown magnolia walls. He heard the door creak open a little wider and the cat made an excited trilling noise in response, burrowing close to his back.

‘There you are. Come on, leave him alone.’

The cat meowed.

‘Don’t you meow at me, Friday. Come here, come on girl,’ Tony demanded in a whisper.

Stephen felt himself smile as the cat, Friday, meowed again, her purr growing louder.

‘Stop sassing me and come here! You’re going to wake him up!’

Friday still refused to move, and Stephen heard the exasperated sigh before Tony’s footsteps padded away. He lifted his head up, craning it over the blanket and straining to listen for any signs that Tony was coming back before he rolled over to face the cat.

‘Are you the expensive purebred feline he’s working so hard to pay for?’ he questioned, reaching down as she rolled over and exposed her stomach. Stroking through the silky fur cautiously in case she decided to pounce, Stephen enjoyed the moment, not allowing his curiosity about where he was to intrude. The sound of biscuits raining down into a ceramic bowl down the hallway made her ears prick up, a rumbling purr vibrating through the bed as she got to her feet, leaping down with a trill.

He watched her saunter off down the hallway as he sat up, spreading his hands over the expensive bedsheets, marveling at their softness. Memories of the night before came back in snatches, and he hugged his knees to his chest, breathing through them.

... ‘You were wondering why I’m so awake? How I look so gorgeous despite the sun barely being up?’ Tony almost sang, pouring caramel sauce over the macchiato foam in an intricate lattice.

Did I say something out loud?

‘I really couldn’t care less,’ Stephen’s words were scathing as he watched Tony put the drinks down on the counter.

‘Flirting is a two-way street, Doc, you need to give a little to get a little,’ Tony teased with a wink.

‘Trust me, I’m not interested.’ Stephen snatched the drinks up, reaffirming his vow that he was never going to set foot in Starkbucks ever again.

‘See you around, Doc!’ Tony called after him.

fjdisofjisoj The last chapter is well on it's way - I am so sorry this project has taken so long 😂😂 I was on a roll and then the last two chapters took an absolute nosedive. Forgive me!

I've always had headcanons about little Peter, it's hard not to when my own kiddos come out with such hilarious content. I have several one-shots that I've never posted with him in and it's always been enjoyable to write. When I combined that with some unused content from a failed multichapter I'd never completed, a de-aged Peter being taken care of by Tony and Stephen sprung to mind.

As someone who doesn't plan, I didn't even realise it would get to the 50k it has today. I have loved exploring the characters and it just slowly went from 12k to 24k to where we are now 💖
