My impression of the Beta sprites
Tumblr media
Akira: Ya know she calls me daddy too
-prolly went the harem route
-I equal parts love and despise this man
Tumblr media
Ryuji: Weed dealer, absolutely all of the rumors are true
-Classic Dudebro/neg
- likes DC but only the live action movies
- Junpei Iroi core with that neck
Tumblr media
Ann: Mean girl at school who has a soft side
- Ryuji's sister, look me in the eyes and tell me they aren't related in the Beta. That is Ann Sakamoto and I will hear no difference
- l o n g
Tumblr media
Mona: the most judgemental person in school
-Hates the Phantom Thieves, maybe rightfully
-ALWAYS angry (he's weirdly always making that face in his beta sprites)
-prolly in a perpetual state of Okumura arc
Tumblr media
Yusuke Slenderman: Shocked baby deer but no one takes pity on him due to how strange he is
- There is something MISSING from his face
- Hyper blue haired Yusuke can't hurt you, hyper blue haired Yusuke can't hurt you...

Have silly interaction between two General studies students. Danshin is a part of Class 1-C, along with my friends oc, Iroi (@its0nlyash), and Yumie (@reiiseyes). Disclaimer: All backgrounds were edited from the anime, except for the 2nd one, which was originally from VRchat.

How much do ghosts typically have wills or motivations tied to who they were in life? You have the red pain babies, and Timofey who is more a construct, and the two ghost children at Iroi's (who the cast seemed to see as unusual) but the rest we see feel closer to insects or pests, mischievous and annoying but in no way human. Are there ever the cases of a traumatic death or something causing some echo or figment of someone to haunt a place in a more direct way?
In Kasslyne, souls fly apart at death. Memories scatter, like a glass goblet breaking. They cannot remain as one whole soul, or ghost, in the way we tend to imagine.
So that traumatic death loses all context and, by itself, is not really so traumatic. It's weak and has no will or motivation. The khert vacuums it up like a dead cockroach.
But there is a universal law of Like to Like in Kasslyne. Mean makes mean, good makes good. Those dead cockroaches are attracted to other dead cockroaches. All these memories gather into tumorous masses of traumatic deaths, bad days, dead babies, shattered hopes, dreams deferred. They have no context for themselves. They're the merest, meanest memories of really gnarly shit that happened to someone, somewhere. These congealed pain ghosts sometimes escape the khert and haunt particles in the real world. Then they're what're called smoke eels.
These creatures almost have wills. Primitive minds have begun to form in the storm of their beings. And they're really what's caused the entire mess we're watching unfold. They've operated Cutter's Silver monster for him, they've (some of the more nuanced ones) have tried to involve Sette. They're all over the comic, sometimes just in the background, glaring. They don't like this system. They want someone to do something about it.
Now, Timofey and Iori's grandbabies are pymarics. Someone took various memories - ghosts - and combined them into new personalities. Instead of congealed pain babies, we get thoughtfully crafted... artificial minds. Timofey and Iori's grandbabies are not the ghosts of people who were once alive. Or at least, not in the way we think of ghosts. They're ghost slurry; parts of thousands of disembodied minds.
It's certainly possible that single memories can remain where they died, wafting about miserably. In fact it would be expected if they died in a khert fire or other environment where the khert couldn't easily get to them. In very specific conditions there might even be a delay where some dead bastard's soul doesn't immediately shatter at all- perhaps if they died in a super intense khert-fire~
But otherwise, as a rule, the dead shatter. It's a primary reason no one believes Duane is an actual person and instead think he's a pymaric like Timofey. I'll also point out that Anadyne is still in one piece because, impossibly, that woman's still alive. Cutter is keeping her heart beating. The dead don't shatter and the khert doesn't take them until their heart goes quiet. This was also referenced by Duane's alley attackers, who were very careful to keep his heart beating so Bastion could do his thing.

Thoughts on Fate/Samurai Remnant New Trailer
Ayyyeee new trailer just drops recently today for the new Fate series game coming out this year, better hurry and watch because Youtube keeps taking down videos for the new trailer. Some thoughts from the new trailer. Here's a link to the trailer:
Fate/Samurai Remnant - 1st Trailer - YouTube
-Miyamoto Iroi is confirmed to be the master and main character for the game!
-Jeanne Alter is a servant in the game hello???! My guess is Jalter wasn't supposed to be summoned into the war due to some shady summoning gone wrong.
Or, here me out, Jalter is summoned as a ruler class because of an incident that wasn't supposed to interfere in the holy grail war in the Edo period. The last time a similar conflict like this happened was in Apocrypha when Darnic stole the greater grail which lead to the 2 vs. 2 battle royal, which resulted in OG Jeanne being summoned to oversee the conflict. But that's just a theory. A FATE THEORY-
-Miyamoto Musashi from the looks of the trailer is most defiantly playable! It makes me wonder if this could be the Musashi we know that traveled from the timeline of Samurai Remenant to the Grand Order timeline or could be a Musashi variant in a brand new timeline.
-Brand new servants and masters look so dope!
-The gameplay is a hack and slash, which means there will be a bunch of side quests in this game and I'm all for it most defiantly! I love side quests for rewards to help boost item crafting and upgrade items.
-I wonder if we're going to see Sasaki Kojiro in the story but I doubt it. He deserves so much love and it will be crazy if he made a cameo appearance in the game. Only time will tell.
-Honestly, my brain is overloading I need to sit down. It's coming out September 28th. Downside? I don't own a PS4 or PS5. Please release it on Windows Steam ~!

Running this thing through Google trans as fast as possible here so idk how accurate this is but something about Mikuni using multiple illusions with Liliy's powers to create a deep fake to outwit Tsurugi. Doll was seemingly his moms. I think given to her by her husband as a gift but also maybe as magical disposal or somthing maybe c3 just wanted to get rid of it idk (I don't understand what it's trying to say here. But since we don't know the timeframe maybe he gave it to her to act as substitute for whatever about Jeje that causes his eves to go crazy? So that she would be less effected?). Lily is doing all this for Misano and wants the ceremony to succeed for the sake of a better world.
Edit: Okay so checking Google again it says a boy spun hair to make the doll and then it came into C3 hands and then was given to Mikado's wife. The only boy we know who does that is Youtarou but wouldn't he be too young? Maybe not. Idk his age but he's older then the main eves and known Gear for a long time so...I guess. What is even going on.
I feel like I should also note the first couple of pages have Mikuni speculating about if humpty dumpty broke then maybe there is a way to put him back together agian. Lilly also has a last line I dont understand at all. Google translates it as earl underground???
Outside of this shoddy translation I noticed the room Touma is in has a bunch of keys on the wall. Could he be in the Iroi's house or a relative of his? Also hamsters.
Tumblr media
(Clearly the most important panel)
Was there a thing about Iroi having hamsters/gerbils or am I making that up? Edit: Yup its iroi's home. And they are hamsters. 🐹
This chapter is too short for my heart and now we have to wait another month. I find it questionable if this series has the guts to really kill off its characters, but if it does as much as it's gonna hurt I honestly kinda hope it does. At least my already favorable opinion of it would go up. It would increase the stakes and just I like it when there are consequences for actions. As sad as it might turn out to be. For now I'm still speculative. I am very worried about Nico tho.
Idk about what's going with now Lily looking okay as well. I assume this has something to do how we've seen old man demon core old child and then normal pride later on just like lily here but lily able to transform from demon core to normal lily? So many unanswered questions. I am rambling, pardon me.
Regardless if Tsurugi really is dead or not. This chapter has hurt my heart. 💔

BOSTON (AP) -- A former Haitian mayor was criminally charged Wednesday with lying on his application to become a legal resident of the U.S., just one day after he was found liable for a killing and two attempted slayings in his homeland.
Jean Morose Viliena, 50, was indicted on three counts of visa fraud, according to the U.S. attorney's office in Boston. Conviction on the charge carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
"Gaining lawful entry into our country is a privilege, not a right," U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins said in a statement. "Our nation offers protection, assistance and asylum to those who are persecuted. People that perpetrate acts of violence and harm — and then allegedly lie about their conduct to U.S. immigration officials — in their countries are not welcome here."
An email seeking comment was sent to Viliena's attorney.
Viliena went to the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in June 2008 to apply for a visa that would gain him entry to the U.S., federal prosecutors said.
When asked on the application form whether he was excluded from admission to the U.S. for having "ordered, carried out or materially assisted in extrajudicial and political killings and other acts of violence against the Haitian people," he said he was not, prosecutors said.
He then swore that his application was true and signed it, authorities said. The visa was approved the next day. He moved to the U.S. in July 2008 and was granted a Permanent Resident Card, also known as a green card.
Viliena has been living in Malden, just north of Boston, authorities said.
But federal prosecutors allege that while mayor of the town of Les Irois — a community of about 22,000 on Haiti's western tip — Viliena was involved in acts of violence against political foes.
In 2007, prosecutors said, he led a group of his allies to the home of a political opponent, where he and his associates shot and killed the opponent's younger brother, then smashed his skull with a rock.
Prosecutors also allege that in 2008, Viliena and his allies went armed with guns, machetes, picks and sledgehammers to a community radio station that he opposed to shut it down. He allegedly pistol-whipped and punched a man and ordered an associate to shoot and kill the man and one other person.
Both survived, but one of the men lost a leg and the other was blinded in one eye.
Viliena was found liable by an American jury in a civil trial on Tuesday for his role in the killing and the two attempted killings and assessed $15.5 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
The suit was filed by the San Francisco-based Center for Justice and Accountability on behalf of David Boniface, Juders Ysemé and Nissage Martyr in Boston in 2017. Nissage Martyr died, and his son, Nissandère Martyr, replaced him as a plaintiff.
The suit was filed under the Torture Victim Protection Act of 1991, which allows lawsuits to be filed in the U.S. against foreign officials who allegedly committed wrongdoing in their homeland if all legal avenues in their country have been exhausted.
"The Center for Justice and Accountability welcomes action by the Justice Department but calls for human rights criminal charges to be brought given the strong evidence presented against Viliena for torture and other abuses during the civil trial," the center said in a statement Wednesday.
The center also called on the State Department, the U.S. Embassy in Haiti, and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights to work with the government of Haiti to ensure the safety of their clients and family members, who have been subjected to retaliation and intimidation.
Boniface, Ysemé and Martyr continue to live in hiding and said in statements Wednesday that while pleased with Viliena's arrest, they are concerned about their families.
Martyr's mother and sisters still live in Les Irois.
"His associates in Les Irois have said that if Jean Morose Viliena is arrested, what they have done before will be nothing compared to what they will do now," Martyr said in a statement that was translated from Haitian Creole into English. "They said they will burn the city of Les Irois and the families of the people who sought justice."
