Interaction and Play dates with Aemond: Aemond Targaryen x OC fanfiction

Aemond and Margueritte spends the night recalling the story that she used to tell him before they got married.

Fluff child fanfiction

Writer's note: Because of the child fanfictions of Aemond I have been reading here, I decided to give it a try using what I learned from TedTalk that I used for Margueritte's (my OC) character. I was screaming when I wrote this fanfiction, I can't help with characters having children and getting fluffy and all. I also had some inpiration from Beautiful Vassilisa's story, so if you some elements of it, you can tell me what you think about it, I tweaked some of it because it was just an inspiration. The Witch and the Doll: Aemond Targaryen Fanfiction

For Margueritte, she considers playdates and interactions with her and Aemond's children seriously without fail. For she believes that these things help their children's minds grow and develop well, creating more neural connections in the brain; these things strengthen the bond between the children and parents, locking them inside their memory, hopefully giving them a better than good childhood and putting importance on family.

Writing, drawing, storytelling, drying flowers, and a game of chase are some of the things that Margueritte uses to bond with their children. She tries to put her hobbies of writing and drawing as part of their lives. On the other hand, Aemond would lecture them on old Valyria and teach them high Valyrian, as well as setting them up with Ser Criston for some basic sword fighting, with him on the sidelines, coaching where they should place their points. Margueritte sometimes dislikes it because she thinks they're too young, seven and eight, to experience being shouted by their father. But she knows that at the end of every session, Aemond would pamper them with tender love and care.

The moon is high up in the sky and several torches are lit outside. The maids leave the room upon Margueritte's request. She sits on the couch, leaning on the armrest with their youngest, Aline, on her lap. They engage in tedious conversation of questions and answers, and more questions while Margueritte brushes the silky, long hair. Whereas, Aemond is busy playing chess with their two boys. They are busy amongst themselves. It is no doubt that there is no partial love given, but it is Aline who sticks badly well to Margueritte. Aemond often finds her on Margueritte's hip as they stroll the garden, conversing about flowers and pollination and its importance in nature. Margueritte reasons that she is just a kid…playful.

“The witch replies to her that the first knight was her morning, the second was her day, and the third one was her night. When the little girl wanted to ask the pairs of hands who helped carry the poppies, the witch disregarded her before she could even ask.”

“I don't like the witch, mother, she is scary and ugly.” Aline comments, Margueritte jests a little, “What happened next, mother?”

“Well,” Margueritte tries to remember the sequence, it has been so long since she last read it, the last time was when she was still Helaena's maid. “I think the witch asked where she lives—wait, no that's not it—”

Aemond, while he is playing with their son, Magnus, Oswald has already left seconds after. Aemond listens to her story and notices the frustration to recall it. He scoffs behind his smile. “The witch asked the little girl how she managed to perform the numerous tasks she gave her.” Aemond answers then Margueritte remembers it now. So she continues with her story.

“The girl then replied that it was because of the doll that her mother gave her, her blessing.”

“Upon hearing that she is blessed,” Aemond continues, “She shooed the girl away, saying that she disliked blessed girls.”

He stands up, taking the two boys into his hold like sacks, asking him to be brought down. He settles them between, while Aemond sits at the other end of the couch. Magnus and Oswald, the name of the two boys, whine terribly, a horror to Margueritte's ears.

“We've heard this story a lot of times now, mother, it is only Aline who does not seem to get it through her head.”

Margueritte begins to think if this is actually their son, Aemond shushes him, opting that he finish the story.

“So this witch then gave the little girl a skull with light that shined so brightly, it cleared a whole path in the dark forest. The little girl went home. When she took it to her brothers and father, they were so enthralled by its magnetic, glowing eyes that by the rising of the sun the next morning, they were turned to ashes.”

Suddenly the boldness of the two boys disappears by the way their father's word cuts through every word, they hear a loud clap behind and they meet their mother who blows white powder towards them.

Somehow the darkest of the night pushed through with a game of chase as Aemond and Margueritte chased their children around the room before they carried them to bed.

When Aemond and Margueritte goes back to bed, she turns to her husband, “I'm surprised that story stuck well to you. It had been so long since I last read that to you.”

“Everything about you sticks so well to me.”

Aemond walks to his wife and wraps his arms around her waist before pulling her into a hug.

“I love you, my fire rose.”

I wad stuck in Totsuka and Megan and in what their world looks like, so i had a talk to my brother/cowriter and now I have some ideas to work with.

First of all, the races. I used to think that it would be a lot of hard work to make lots of different races in a world, but man, that's fun

There are five races (for now, might add one or two later depending on how it goes): The dragons (although its probablybetter to refer to them as 'dragonborns'), the humans, the fae, the vampires and the shapeshifters.

The vampires get energy/their life force from blood (obsviously). The humans, from their stomach (may change that). The fae, from their environment (like. mostly anywhere). I haven't decided yet for the shapeshifters, but then the dragonborns get their life force from the sun.

I wanted to have a logic behind all the races, and then we decided to make a mithology: we are gonna inpire it on our favorite pantheons (greco-roman, nordic and japanese). The Main Deity (like zeus/jupiter or odin or amaterasu) is gonna be the Sun Deity and they blessed the dragonborns maaaany many many millenia ago, so that's why their energy comes from the sun. We still have yet to dig deeper into that.

Then we have the magic system: It's pretty simple, actually. There are two kinds of magic:

Spiritual magic (nonsense, clairevoyance, mind reading, anormal phenomena)

And Material magic.

Now, material magic has two subtypes. Chemic and Physical. Physical magic is manipulating effects of physic, like explosion and making things move, and Chemic magic is manipulating chemical phenomena. Like... poisioning. Degradation. Human body functions. I don't know much about it but I thinm most of the things that happen in the world are under one of these two things. So I divided magic like that! Each race has (generally) an inclination to either or another (Material or Spiritual). The fae are more prone to have ease with Spiritual magic (at least it comes easier to them), the humans, Material, the Shapeshifters, Material, and the vampires, Spiritual. The dragonborns are blessed so they have a natural inclination to both equally.

And lastly, the main idea behind having a lot of races is that my brother loves shonen anime and One Piece and draws most of his ideas from there. He wanted to have a powerful and officially extinct race, and kne of the main characters (totsuka) is a direct descendant of them.

He wanted the race to be like, the sun people, and when I questioned him about how they would be like and suggested a lot of things (werewolves, clairvoyants, elves...) we reached the dragonborn idea. They're not proper dragons nor dragonborns, but it's where I'm drawing their inspiration from. Prob gonna chanhe in the future

Hey, everyone! Long time no see! I know I'm rarely here, but whenever I have too big collections of fanart made, then where else is better to publish them than here?

Okay, You're propably wondering what these collages are and how I made them, don't You?

It's simple: All I had to do was to take some snapshots with my iPhone, then transfer the photos to my laptop and then make collages on Paint out of them all. They're all from the 90's computer game "The Pink Panther: Passport to Peril'' - one of my childhood's favorites to this day. It also has a following sequel called "The Pink Panther: Hokus Pokus'' which was released a year later, but for some reason the sequel appeared first in Poland in 2000 whereas the first game a year after. Therefore most of the Polish fans think the sequel is the first game and the firsst game is the sequel, but not me as I'd stick to the chronological order. Both games were educational point & clicks where You collected and used items, talked to characters and even learned some fascinating stuff about the countries You visited. Which brings up the main topic of this collaction which is the PDA: the small electronic device Von Shmarty presents Pink with before our hero can take off. Thanks to this little device, You can click on characters and objects and when the PDA icon appears below the left side on the screen, You automatically get access to the information written there. The countries You visit and learn about in the game are England, Egypt, China, Bhutan, India and Australia. As for the topics, there's 8 of them and whenever You click their icons on the main menu, You can meet the familiar characters from the 1993's animated "Pink Panther'' show:

Nature: The Dogfather and his goons Pugg & Louie (in Poland their names are Pershing, Zenuś i Szczurek)

Fashion: Voodoo Man

History: Inspector Clouseau

Religion: Dr. Helmut Von Shmarty

Geography: Mrs. Chubalingo AKA Granny

Art: The Big Nose AKA the Little Man AKA Camp Chilly Wawa's Director

Cuisine: Aardvard

Society: Ant

However, the animated series from the 90's didn't officially appear in Poland until the early 2010's. Basically, it's thanks to the games themselves I got interested in the series not only because Pink could talk, but mainly because it's so connected to both of them, to the point they inpired me to plan a fanfic or 2 in the future. It's uncertain when it'll be written, but when the time comes, I'll let You guys know here or on my DA page. Mermay 2023 - 2nd Week

Day 8 - Dystopian

She looked at the immense metal city farway when he joined her.

"What are you doing here ?" he asked.

"... I don't really know..."

He sighed.

"Then why coming back here ? I do not understand how you can admire the Metalurians and their... their... that thing they call their home."

"You are wrong... I do not admire anything about them..."

"Then, why ?"

She turned towards him, showing all the sadness in her eyes.

"I pity them..."

Day 9 - Heartbreak

And here is out first spoiler for Out of the Abyss !

Yes. The merman on the left is indeed Humphrey. Why ? How ? That, however, will not be answered during Mermay. =)

As for the prompt of the day, it happens that the other merman on the right, Leviathan, had formed a strong bound with Humphrey, when the latter had hidden his true nature all this time.

This drawing representes the very moment where the mask falls off.

Day 10 - Celestial

As I searched an idea for the prompt, I learned that there exists a species of goldfish called the celestial. As much as I wasn't inpired to make a merfolk based on them, I however found the idea of giant celestial fishes flying in the sky interesting.

And to justify this absurd idea, I thought having Shichi, character of my Yume Nikki Fangame project, accompanying them in the skies with her mermaid effect was perfect !

I'll probably add that scene in the game itself whenever I finally work on it again.

Day 11 - Villain

Out of the Abyss spoiler once more !

I present to you Charybdis. A real sea witch.

This sperm whale mermaid has a pronounced taste for demanding the eyes of her victims as payment. She sometimes take more than that if they refuse to pay, or just if she's really, really hungry. Poor unfortunate souls.

It isn't surprising that the Slime Girls do not want to be associated with the likes of her, even if, let's be honest, they did not react any better when they were denied payment.

Day 12 - Companion

Out of the Abyss spoiler !

Here is how Leviathan met Humphrey before the events of the drawing of day 9.

One day, a humpback whale merman arrived in the village where Leviathan lives. He said his name was "Cheeky". Both quickly learned to know eachother, as they were the only whale merman of all Deep Well.

Leviathan thought he could trust him...

Day 13 - Old Money

It's a fashion style characterised by elegance and timelessness (thanks Google).

I just so happened to have a merman character who likes to wear this kind of clothing, so this drawing happened naturally.

Oh, and his name is Bill. Believe it or not, he's based on the blob sculpin.

Day 14 - Mama

Shichi finds an old memory deep into underwater caves...

Now that I think about it... I wonder if RWBY is going to reference each character's fairy tale inpiration's affinity for certain animals. We seen Weiss take an immediate liking to Zwei, so it makes me wonder if she'd be ok with this talking mouse, as Snow White could talk to animals and understand them as well as her loving all of nature.

Also makes me wonder if the fact that Cinder loves "collecting assets" is a reference to Cinderella having mice and birds to assist her.

I think that Cinder deserves to have a little evil army of mice, as a treat.

Major Project FMP - Video and poster experimentation 5 - LO2 - LO4

Again I carried on pushing my experimentation in many directions. I started on illustrator with the simple element of a circle to represent a wheel. I started to create different posters using different colours to match different narrative points as I discussed as an idea earlier.

Then taking this inspired from the stock footage I attempted to make these circles spin in after effects which started to successfully work! First I experimented with the rotation effect followed by scale and then coming full circle and linking back to my audio reactive experiment to see how this could look! I really like this experiment and I'm glad it inpired me to revisit audio reative elements following what I felt was a difficult and low quality attempt previously. This breathed life into the idea and I want to carry on expanding on this to see how it could build itself.

Below this post will be my first batch of motion experiments. A few main points I would like to explore are

Rotation

The use of rotation how could it be used to show change of moods in the song? Once again referring back to my brief and the use of semiotics this could definitely be used to show faster paces of the 'wheels' in this emotional journey changing.

Scale

The use of scale could be important in conveying emotions and showing which emotion is most important in the current narrative of the song. For example a larger yellow circle could show the happiness the musician is feeling in the current part of the song.

Audio reactiveness

Audio reactiveness is something I reexplored to see how it could be used. Though it does make for some really interesting changes throughout it doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with telling a story so perhaps this need to be removed from the features of the video to let scale and movement shine brighter.

Colour

Colour is going to be a really important factor in telling the story and what's going on. Referring back to one of my academic sources 'if its purple someones gonna die' I looked into the associations each colour had to see how this could play into the design. As you can see on some of these posters too I experimented with narrative points and colour to see how could convey messages.

EG.

YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE

= Equilibrium, it sets the tone of happy content and calm in a positive state of mind as the song sets off its journey of emotion.

ORANGE, RED, PURPLE

= Disruption, setting the tone of danger, fear, uncomfortable the transition using more secondary colours as motions seep into each other creating a reaction. These tones showing the musicians shift to a new narrative.

PINK, PURPLE, LIGHT BLUE

= Solution, back to a happier tone perhaps even more manic, joyful and up in the clouds using colours that perhaps aren't as natural in the real world to show this manic happiness and how he has been 'set free' in a sense from the battle of emotion by the end of the song.

Video quality

Video quality was something I was struggling with in the beginning exports which came with a couple solutions: using the computers in the mac suite, and changing settings to a 4k resolution instead of a high bitrate.

To reflect on my experiments I feel this one has had the most scope/inspired me the most with the way it can be utilised to make the most of my brief goals. After many experiments the physical process felt forced and perhaps felt like an avoidance of learning a new skill. So following this I know its possible to use movement and scale. How can I push this to the next level?

-final poster design point-

While designing different posters I referred back to my previous library research on the theory of colours. And created small mindmaps of what each colours conveys to keep track of a range of emotions and how they could interplay into the changes of emotion in the song. For example, at the start it's at an equilibrium he's set the narrative calm (blue), green (positivity and yellow (daring) . So for the start I used the mixing of these colours to signify that.
