Remember Me
from this ask
@indyflanery
The vague answer absolutely felt familiar. So Indy decided the man had to be somewhat trustworthy. Glancing around, he wasn't entirely sure what the correct answer to where he was was.
Tumblr media
"...Outside," came the obvious reply. Which translated to he really had no idea what was going on at the moment.
-----------
Tumblr media
"That's a start," he replied softly, playing with the necklace around his neck. "You're in England. Do you know your name?" He dropped to a crouch before Indy and reached out his hand, rubbing his thumb over the rising bump on his temple.

Rumours
@indyflanery continued from this ask
“A man needs something to proceed himself, other than mere rumour.” ~ William (onomatome)
~~~
Indy's brow raised. The two of them didn't have much occasion to run into each other before now. Just a casual passing in the lecture halls more than anything, so one could only assume what the man had heard about Indy. Or vice versa. As it was, Indy was well aware his reputation preceeded him at times. How much of it was rumor and how much of it was actual truth - no matter how fantastic - was a matter for debate.
"Rumor. Reputation. They tend to go hand in hand at some point, don't they?" he countered instead. The corner of his mouth tilted upwards. "Are you worried about your own or what mine will do to yours? Because I wouldn't think someone attached to the English department would have any use of an archaeologist."
~~~
William leaned against the wall just outside of his office, reviewing the latest flyers on the notice board when he caught sight of the other man walking by. His comment was both one of greeting and the hope of a small bit of conversation to pass his open hour since no students had stopped by.
He pointed to a pink flyer that stood out amid the mostly white and couple of yellow. "Calling me the university's most eligible bachelor is bound to give the impression I am something more than I actually am. I don't mind helping the honors group out with their annual fundraiser, but maybe I should have just given them money for the trip. Two years now and I have still not learned."

Continued from here:
@indyflanery
Cara squared her shoulders, trying to make her features as neutral as possible as she met Indy’s gaze, “No, that’s not how I operate. Unless I’m already in the middle of a job, I don’t pass on hunts that I find or - in this case - that come my way. The real question is are you sure that you want to be involved in this? Don’t get me wrong, your instincts were dead on. This whole thing reeks of the supernatural world, and you were smart enough to recognize that, and you called me in, but... You don’t have to do anymore than that. I can take it from here.”

she knew that the day needed to be started. She had to get to work in a couple of hours. But she couldn't convince herself to move. She laughed when Indy fell back. She moved to lay on his chest. "Where's the fun in that?" she grinned, being content lying there with him. "I'm not ready to move just yet." she drew circles against his skin. "Lately I find myself just wanting to stay in bed more and more." she let out a small laugh. "I wonder why."

Oh, that. Well of course. "Ah. Most people brush it off with something reasonable. Most folks don't believe in all that nonsense, " She spoke with a soft smile as to reason to him that she wasn't deeply bothered by his words, not denying his observation as she folded her book closed and set it on her lap. "Most of us don't get used to it either, strange and all. But thank you,"

Was there such a thing as too much fairground food? If so, Tyler had yet to hit any such limit, chowing down on her second post-rollercoaster hotdog while also contemplating getting some cotton candy. Hmm. Maybe later. So far Indy hadn’t shown nearly as much enthusiasm for the many questionable dietary options available.
“You sure you don’t want one? Y’know the food is like, at least half of what makes this fun, right?”

“ this whole place is a floating deathtrap. ”
"Is that so, son?"
Mulcahy eyed the young man with concern. As far as he was aware, the passenger ship was completely safe. But he wasn't an engineer, nor was he a sailor— he was a priest. A priest rather naively optimistic, at that.
"What causes you to say that? I'm glad to listen, if you'd like to get anything off your chest."

@indyflanery asked: 🛑+ (Dean's patching Indy up again!) [X]
Dean couldn't believe this had happened again. That he had once again gotten close to losing the archeologist that was currently sitting in front of him. Somehow things always seemed to turn out like that, didn't it? With a soft sigh leaving his lips, he continued to wash the blood away so he could see just how bad the injuries were, wanting to make sure that it didn't need special attention or something. Man, he hoped it was something he could take care off.
Taking a deep breath, Dean frowned at the injury before nodding. "Alright, ... I should be able to patch this up." He muttered as he reached for the first aid kit and opened it up. "But we're gonna have to find a way for you to stop getting hurt like this, ... it scares the hell out of me, y'know that?"

@indyflanery liked this post for a starter from Andi
This was awkward. How did she explain to her father (who was not yet her father) that she wandered away during a "family trip" to Scotland and ended up a good...say...forty / fifty / maybe even sixty years in the past? She couldn't. He'd think she was nuts.
And maybe she was. Or dreaming. Maybe that humming sound she thought she heard in the middle of the stone circle was really some sort of migraine symptom and she'd wake up back in her own time.
Yeah right. She had seen enough stuff to know that wasn't the case. She had well and truly fallen through time. And with no idea how to get back.
Tumblr media
Which meant, until she figured it out, she just needed to go along with the flow. Extending a hand, she offered the younger version of her father a smile. "Andromeda. But that's a bit of a mouthful. You can call me Andi."

A smile unfurs, curling across Peg's lower-lip at Indy's complimentary remark. "To tell you the truth," she starts with a healthy dose of humility, "you're far more competent than most untrained civilians."
Tumblr media
"You're certainly quicker on your feet than Agent Thompson." Of course, she could scantily resist the urge to throw in a barbish quip about a thorn in her side. "And I've heard you possess a fairly decent punch in a pinch. That is when your whip isn't the first method of choice-" Her eyes jovially light up.
"Now where is it, you said, we were heading again?" He had mentioned that he found something in the desert. Perhaps, it was one of Starks Bad Babies---

Ghost Story
@indyflanery continued from an ask here
“It’s a ghost story. Well, it’s more of a phenomenon, really.“ ~ Michael
~~~
Blinking at the eldest archangel, he mused, yet again, that he low-key resented Rafael for 'introducing' them. Or rather, dragging his brother into their whole drama. Michael was either terribly uncommunicative or painfully blunt. Rarely he was vague. And yet there were times when he made himself all important sounding... Like now.
"I make one random observation about the concept of a soul and you decide to show up and treat it like a ghost story?" Indy snipped in annoyance. "Send back one of your other siblings. I'll probably get a better answer out of them."
~~~
"I can't have you out here spreading misinformation, can I?" Michael was relaxed and friendly as he stood next to Indy at the deserted bar. The light was golden as it reflected off the highly polished wood.
"Basically you were setting forth that souls linger after death, and that simply is just not true. Something lingers, but it most certainly isn't a soul." Michael picked up the glass that the bar tender had brought him unprompted and swirled the liquor around, watching the light hit it.

SEXCANON  (We've heard Indy's side of things and want to hear Amelia's now lol)
SEND  ‘  SEXCANON  ‘   TO  MY  ASK  AND  I  WILL  POST  A  HANDFUL  OF  SEXUAL  HEADCANONS  PERTAINING  TO  OUR  MUSES.
( @indyflanery)
1.) Indy and Amelia have broken the bed twice during sex. The first time took them both completely by surprise. Thankfully, the bed looked more fragile, and they were able to be upgraded to another room at no charge. The second time, Amelia commented to Indy that she thought she heard a cracking sound, to which Indiana ignored, and well... Since this was a much newer hotel, Amelia paid for the damages separately on her credit card.
2.) One time, when Indy was too eager, he ripped one of Amelia's favorite blouses, popping off the buttons. She was slightly miffed, but she got over it pretty quickly when he sent her a replacement one.
3.) The first time Amelia dommed Indy, it was during their New Zealand trip. The pair discussed it for quite awhile, and since they were free to take their time during this trip, it seemed like the perfect time to try.
4.) They had sex in Amelia's apartment before having sex in Indy's home. She did not invite him over for that purpose, no matter what Indy might teasing claim.
5.) They've definitely had sex with Indy wearing nothing but the fedora. Several times.

" so? what do you think? " he knew he sounded too eager - a little too much like a kid on christmas morning as he pushed the box towards the other man. but it wasn't every day he got sent something like this. hell, it wasn't any day... and yet, somehow the package with no return address had made it down to his basement office and was waiting there on the floor outside his door when he'd wandered in that morning. and inside was... something. he'd frowned down at the amulet, kicking his feet up on his desk as he turned it over in his fingers. he had a niggling feeling that he'd seen something like this before - or at least he'd read about it. his eyes had drifted over then to the row of filing cabinets against the wall. whoever wanted him to have this wouldn't have sent it if it wasn't an x-file. he just needed to figure how how... which was what brought him to the good doctor. " have you seen anything like this before? "

Evelyn gave a small roll of her eyes, "oh please, you're as bad as my brother" the egyptologist commented, this was the most exciting part and he wanted to wait to.. air it out? She wrapped the rope around her waist making sure it was secure as she absailed down.
"Indy! You should see this!" She called up as she shone the light into the tomb, her feet hitting the sand beneath untying the rope, of course it was dark, but a good old fashioned ancient lighting trick would do the job, "come on! We're the first people to step in here, in over three thousand years" Evy called up the excitement clear in her tone.

[Starter for @indyflanery.]
Autun, France, 1920s ...
It was mid-morning when Thera pulled up in a hired Citroën, sunhat shielding her eyes. The drive from Paris had started a little earlier than she might have liked, but for a change she hadn’t been as possessive of her sleep as she often was. Part of that had been excitement, anticipation of the actual trip for its own sake - the rest had been pure spite.
She wasn’t sure how far ahead of the bus carrying the other students she actually was, but she’d wanted to beat them here; to be settled in and relaxing in a garden chair when they all arrived. A fresh breeze picked the brim of her hat, and as she headed for the hotel reception sunlight filtered through the trees.
A lovely day to throw a cat among the pigeons, to be sure.
