Its interesting that foster kids are excluded from intersectional feminism when foster kids are often:
- racial minorities
- LGBT
- girls/women who have been sexually abused
These are all groups of people that feminism tends to work with and cares about their well being. Yet I rarely see foster kids mentioned outside the abortion debate in feminist circles. Why is that?
Foster kids deserve so much more than to be your token "I wish I was aborted" friend. If this is where the discussion on foster care ends with you, please do not call yourself an ally to foster kids. We deserve actual improvements to the system not a demoralizing campaign that suggests we are better off dead.

NONE of those bastards on the Supreme Court are Native and yet they feel entitled to hold the fate of the Indian Child Welfare Act in their bloody hands as if the act wasn't created SPECIFICALLY to protect Indigenous children, like the ones who are still being unearth from residential school grounds. Unbelievable.

In order to rationalise our industrial-military complex, we have to destroy our capacity both to see clearly any more what is in front of, and to imagine what is beyond, our noses. Long before a thermonuclear war can come about, we have to lay waste our own sanity. We begin with the children. It is imperative to catch them in time. Without the most thorough and rapid brainwashing their dirty minds would see through our dirty tricks. Children are not yet fools, but we shall turn them into imbeciles like ourselves, with high IQs if possible.
R.D. Laing* quoted in an article by Steve Minton at Aeon. Do not forget them
Thousands of Indigenous children suffered and died in residential ‘schools’ around the world. Their stories must be heard
*The Politics of Experience and the Bird of Paradise (1967)
Minton's essay is hard to read but veryrelivant to our current situation.

We Must Protect These Children

The drawing above is of an image of a young native American girl in her traditional clothing, the reference for this photo was taken off of the page of the Native American Rights Fund page, the page specifically talks about Narf's job of promoting and protecting the unalienable rights of native americans. The link to that page is included above the image.

The reference for this drawing was taken off of Narf's page specifically detailing the IWCA and the threat it currently faces. If the IWCA were to be deemed unconstitutional, that would put native children in danger of being taken from their homes and their culture.
If you can please donate to The Native American Rights Fund
Or at least spread awareness about what NARF does and the threat that the IWCA is currently facing

They were 4 siblings: a 13-year-old girl, a 9-year-old girl, a 4-year-old boy, and an 11-month-old baby girl, who turned 1 during their 40 (!!!) days in the Amazon rainforest. Their plane had crashed in the jungle killing the three adults (including their mom), and they survived alone in the middle of the jungle, until one of the military dogs, named Wilson, found them. Unfortunately, Wilson the dog is now missing.

Educate yourselves on ICWA and do everything you can to either donate to the cause, share information, or help protect indigenous children.

whenever right wing people talk about “parental rights” they are talking about property rights. they are arguing for further political and legal enshrinement of their children as their literal actual property

Nex Benedict's death wasn't just for being transgender, it was for being native too. 2 Spirits are revered in many native cultures and it is a native-specific identity. This wasn't just a hate crime against trans & NB individuals, this was also a hate crime against Natives of Turtle Island.
You cannot separate Nex's trans identity from their native identity - this is a case of MMIWG2S (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2 Spirits).
Native children being killed at school is nothing new, so it's equally important to talk about Nex's native identity and being intersectional, this is a devastating tragedy for indigenous people, the queer community & especially those of us who are both indigenous and queer.
May Nex rest in peace 🪶

So this little indigenous girl is currently stuck with bad, racist foster parents, the aim of this is to get her back to her maternal grandmother. The site has more information on the situation.
