Ace:

・he would be confused af, you were fine just a while ago

・im 100% sure the first thing he would do is go into cuddle mode

"Are you ok? What happened?" He asked while keeping you close, he wasn't getting any answer but he decided to just leave it wanting you to calm down first. Then a thunder struck making you cry louder while trying to hide yourself more.

・i feel like he would run his fingers through your hair while talking to you about literally anything to calm you down

・it would work, most of the things Ace would talk about would be his stupid stories from his childhood which would make you laugh

・i think he wouldn't go straight to hugging he wouldnt want to make you uncomfortable, he would just pet your hair

You felt his hands ho through your hair calming you down, but when the lightning struck your hands would immediately reach out to Sabo and pull him under the covers with you.

・he would be shocked and flustered at first but he wouldn't mind at all!

・your grip would tighten around him whenever the lightning struck so he would whisper to your ear "it's ok I'm here" everytime calming you down

・he wouldn't leave unless you tell him to

・he would give you a kiss on your forehead saying "goodnight" as you fell asleep

I am also attempting to use context, as it has been a long day for them.” Zhongli is in his classic “majestic thinking gentleman” pose, and you’d admire it more if it weren’t for the fact that they don’t seem to be getting what you’re saying.

You hadn’t yet found someone with a higher friendship level than 2 or 3 (hey, don’t blame yourself, you really have to put effort into friendship levels to get them anywhere and you were still busy screwing around in Sumeru when you got spirited away).

So needless to say, most people were getting “the, me, I, you, etc.” rather than the actual important keywords you needed them to, hence the godly charade game now.

As you “hold” something, you throw your hands up in the air, still keeping your hands wrapped around nothing. You think if somebody told you last week that you’d be playing charades with the archons in Genshin Impact so you could actually communicate with them… well you don’t know what you would have done. Maybe just gave them a really awkward laugh.

“Oh! Are you asking for a weapon? Akitsu Mikami, my emperor, we or our nations will surely provide protection from any harm that might befall you. Hm, I suppose we should offer something anyway… I wouldn’t want to displease them…” Ei mutters to herself, having taken over her puppet once more for the occasion.

She and Buer, still retaining their authority status, had asked for the area to be cleared in order to try and get closer to communicating with the Divine First, or you.

“Ha! What idiot would try to hurt the All-Parent in their home, unless they wish to get thrown?” Venti cheekily says, as you don’t understand him, but judging by Zhongli’s clenched jaw, Ei’s sigh, and Nahida’s giggle, you can guess.

You give your own sad sigh… it’s already been 3 hours. 😭

How hard is charades for 4 archons??

Well… apparently very hard.

You put your face in your hands, and you hear the (retired) archons start to debate something, you can tell it’s getting a little passive-aggressive between Venti and Zhongli by their tone alone.

…Okay, now it’s just aggressive.

The archons eventually give their attention back to you so you can go back to your charades lol

You tried opening your mouth and closing it, very obvious, they can’t go wrong.

…Turns out they can.

Somehow you find yourself with a hot tea brewed by the geo archon.

(Venti attempted to offer you Dandelion Wine, or Osmanthus Wine even, and only god, well you now, knows where he pulled them from. Ei swatted his head, he looked so offended, and his cheeks were all puffed up, heh.)

Giving up, you just try to motion for them to stay still, your hands gesturing like trying to calm a wild animal.

They give you questioning looks, and you begin to walk off, they all seem to immediately start discussing something with each other. All of the gods look very conflicted, and after a minute of you getting further away (yes, you’re almost home free, Xiangling here you come! ) Nahida skips to catch up with you.

She gives you a beaming smile, and you can’t bring yourself to not return it. She's so much cuter in real life, even the official art didn't do her justice.

You make your way towards the restaurant, finally.

And apparently you’re happier than you thought to smell the savory scents flowing out of the kitchen because your stomach growls loudly.

You’re too hungry to even attempt to stop it, no one will care, except Nahida’s eyes go wide. She begins to sputter, and flail her hands desperately trying to charade an apology at you.

…you were just trying to tell them you were hungry. 💀

ITAFUSHI NATION IM HAVING AN EPIPHANY LISTEN TO ME

ok so my wonderful partner @mawce444 pointed out that Will Wood’s Against The Kitchen Floor is a really good fit for Yuji and i agreed but while listening in the shower(where my brain comes up with most things) i realized it’s honestly really fitting for Megumi and then i realized it really fits both of them and then i realized it’s like a perfect duet for the two and puts the parallels between them I’ve been admiring into words perfectly. These characters are known as the Sunshine x Raincloud duo but honestly my favorite thing about them is the fact that despite being polar opposites on a surface they are fundamentally similar.

On with my ramblings about jjk characters being will wood songs under the cut—

I could go on about these lyrics for ages but I’ll give you some of my favorite outtakes. Listen to the song and see for yourself as well.

Ok, starting out with one of my favorites. This from Yuji’s perspective reminds me of how all throughout the series curses and humans alike have referred to Yuji as “Sukuna’s vessel” and denied him the right to be anything more than that. It’s also similar to Megumi’s closed off and secretive personality which only people like Yuji and Nobara have managed to crack open. I really. Really. Like the idea of him saying this to yuji in a duet cuz like… this is headcanon and projection talking, but megumi being one of the few to not only see Yuji as himself but wishing he could be as open and vulnerable—in a way more human—than him,,., this targeted me specifically oh my god

“I still don’t know who you are, I only know that I’m still lonely; that morbid sort where even company can’t cure me and the more you reassure the less I trust.”

this!!! this!!! perfect blend of yuji feeling isolated due to being a vessel and megumi’s isolation because of his closed off personality distant or lost family. Well. His family’s like entirely gone now + his only remaining father figure so like even more so now.

“I’m catatonic in your arms, crying ‘How did I cause so much harm?’ I’m down pounding my head against the kitchen floor, apologizing for my life and ever entering yours.”

Yuji blaming himself for the deaths of the people in shibuya. and then he and nancy break up. and the first house he goes to is yours. he’s fucking devastated. like actually about to cry sitting at the foot of your bed, head in his hands. and you feel bad for him but it’s also like. he’s using you, it feels like he’s dragging you along yk. but you really care about him at this point so you’re always there. you’re always there for him. for those next few weeks when he’s losing his friends after he lost nancy, and he just feels so helplessly alone. you’re there. you guys take turns sleeping over at each other’s places and you guys share the bed and you always wake up with him holding you:( and a couple times, a couple vulnerable nights, he kisses you, he grabs you and kisses you so soft and desperate and needy. but you always stop him. bc you know he’s just looking for someone to fill that void in him. that void that nancy left. he doesn’t actually want you. he just wants to sleep with you so he doesnt have to feel so shitty. so you stop him.

and eventually you realize. he's really not gonna get over nancy. not anytime soon. not without another bump on the head. so you find someone else. a nice guy. he's not steve. but yk, hes nice:) and he treats you well and he cares about you and it feels nice. nice to have someone care just as much for you as you do for him, no strings or ex's attached. and steves happy for you, of course he is. he has to be. he obviously cant tell you hes falling in love with you. not now, not after all this time. not after all the bullshit with nancy and you always being there for him. youre happy. and hes happy youre happy.

so he starts sleeping around. comparing all of them to you. everyone thinks hes trying to get over nance, but little do they know hes been pining after you for months. driving you to and from work, letting you come over when youre boyfriends being a dick, buying you birthday and christmas gifts hoping you'll catch the hint but you never do. you could never believe steve harrington would actually have feelings for you, its so out of the question.

so youre boyfriends being especially shitty one night, and you run to steve, like you normally do, but this time, instead of his normal "he doesnt deserve you" or "you could have anyone, anyone you wanted. you could do so much better"… he kisses you. steve kisses you again. after so long. and you cant lie, it feels good. so so so good again. and he tells you he loves you. that hes loved you for months. that hes not asking you to break up with your boyfriend, but he just had to tell you, he couldnt keep it in any longer. that hed still do anything for you. that hes gonna be here no matter what. he just. loves you . alot. and its painful sometimes. but if that means having you in his life, then thats what hell do.
