the question is:is there a nation that DOESNT claim to be the sole survivor of the Atlanteans who so charitably spread lost knowledge to the others only to be dethroned and plagiarized?? i have a theory those are all delusions of some schizotypal mf like myself, feeling like an alien since birth trying to cope with the hope of belonging, heck not only belonging but to salvage the pain of being an underdog, coming out of as the special snowflake, indigo child blueprint.

『Bridges of Madison County』 Part1 ~"I've never said it before. But this kind of certainty comes just once in a lifetime."~
Tumblr media
American movies with decency
The theme of this work is 'adultery'.
Opinions are divided for pros and cons.
They have an affair out of desire, and eventually the two die of their own accord.
It's not that kind of selfish love.
The main character of "The Bridges of Madison County" is troubled and conflicted about the feelings and future of her husband and children.
It's an American movie.
Americans or American society can't accept that kind of thing.
Because Christianity is the main country, it has a strong sense of ethics.
Not everything is liberal.
What I want you to see is…
the inner conflict of the main character,
the pure maiden-like love,
the swaying of the children's hearts when they find out about their affair,
and the wonderful production of this melodrama.
The things that came out of my mother's belongings…
The opening scene begins with an old woman cleaning up her belongings.
The eldest son Michael and daughter Carolyn, who are both in their 40s, Michael's wife, and a lawyer are present.
Their mother's will asked for her body to be cremated and for her ashes to be scattered on the Roseman Bridge.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Michael:
"This is crazy."
“I don’t know anybody who gets cremated.”
"No one in my family did."
"Dad bought cemetery plots at Prairie Hills, one for him, one for Mom."
"I don’t care what it says."
“Maybe Mom was delirious.”
“She didn’t know what she was saying.”
“If she wanted to be cremated, why did she let Dad buy two plots?”
Lawyer:
“The will is clearly states”
“She was very specific.”
"She wanted her ashes to be thrown off Roseman Bridge."
Michael:
"What?"
Carolyn:
"Are you sure Mom wrote all this?"
Lawyer:
"It was notarized and witnessed by Mrs.Lucy Delaney."
"Maybe you could ask her."
Michael:
"Who the hell is she?"
Carolyn:
"I remember her."
Michael:
"I don’t care if it’s legal or not."
"We’re not going to cremate her and throw her ashes off some bridge…"
"where we can’t visit her because she’ll be blown all over the place!"
"We’re not doing it."
"I’m not even sure it’s Christian."
ーーーーーーーーーー
And in the lawyer's custody, the photograph comes out.
It was their mother, Francesca, smiling like a little girl in front of a bridge with a white roof.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"Michael, look at this."
"Have you ever seen these pictures?"
"It was in this envelope from 1965."
ーーーーーーーーーー
As Carolyn reads the suicide note, she discovers that her mother had an affair.
She summons Michael and informs him of the situation.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"Michael, could you come here?"
Michael:
"What?"
"Where’re we going?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
After talking for a while,
ーーーーーーーーーー
Michael:
"We were just…"
"…wondering if it might be better…"
"…if Carolyn and I looked at this stuff ourselves."
"We don’t want to keep you waiting."
"I’ll contact your office about the legal work."
ーーーーーーーーーー
And only two brothers read the letter in the relics.
Children who learned about their mother's affair
ーーーーーーーーーー
Man:
"I struggle to…put it together…in a way that allows me to continue…knowing that we’re on separate roads."
"But then …I look through the lens of my camera and you’re there."
“I start to write an article and I find myself writing it to you.”
"It's clear to me now…"
"…that we have been moving towards each other…"
"…towards those 4 days,all of our lives."
Michael:
"I don't want to hear anymore."
"Burn the damn thing."
"I don't want to hear it."
"Throw it away."
ーーーーーーーーーー
However, Michael, who can't help but worry,
ーーーーーーーーーー
Michael:
"What's he saying now?"
Carolyn:
"He just goes on about how if…"
"Mom ever needed him…he could be reached through the National Geographic"
"He was a photographer."
"He promises not to write again."
"And then,all it says is:I love you,Robert."
Michael:
"Robert? Jesus. I'll kill him."
Carolyn:
"That would be some trick. He's dead."
"That's what this letter is."
"From his attorney."
"He left most of his things to Mom."
"And requested…that he be cremated and his ashes thrown off Roseman Bridge."
Michael:
"Dam him."
"I knew Mom wouldn't have thought that up herself."
"It was some damn perverted…photographic mind influencing her"
"When did the bastard die?"
Carolyn:
"It's 1982."
Michael:
"Wait,that was…three years after Daddy."
"You think?"
"We were kids when this happened."
"I can't believe it"
"Do you think that she had…sex with him?"
Carolyn:
"It must be nice living inside your head with Peter Pan and the Easter Bunny."
Michael:
"Don’t talk to me like that."
"She was my mother!"
"Now I find that she was…"
"She was a…"
Carolyn:
"A what?"
"Don't say that."
Michael:
"What am I supposed to think?"
Carolyn:
"I can't believe she never told me."
"We spoke once a week."
"How could she do that?"
Michael:
"When did she meet him?"
"Did Dad know?"
"Is there anything else in that envelope?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
When Carolyn searches the envelope, she finds a key.
Carolyn, who has an idea, realizes that it is the key to the wooden box that her mother took good care of.
Inside the box was a pendant, a camera, a note, a dress, three notebooks, and a letter addressed to Michael and Carolyn.
She want to tell her children about their mother's way of life
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"You read it."
Michael:
"You read it."
Francesca's letter:
"January 1987, Dear Carolyn:"
"I hope you read this with Michael."
"I'm sure he wouldn't be able to read it by himself…"
"and he'll need help understanding all this."
"First and most of all I love you both very much."
"And although I feel fine, I thought I'd put my affairs…"
"…excuse that word, in order."
Michael:
"I can't believe she's making jokes."
Francesca's letter:
"After going through the safe deposit box…"
"I'm sure you'll find your way to this letter."
"It's hard to write this to my own children."
"I could let this die with the rest of me, I suppose."
"But as one gets older…one's fears subside."
"What becomes more and more important…"
"is to be known for all that you were during this brief stay."
"How sad it seems to leave this earth…without those you love the most…"
"ever really knowing who you were."
"It's easy for a mother to love her children, no matter what."
"It just happens. I don't know if it's as simple for children."
"You're all so busy being angry at us for raising you wrong."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Michael and Carolyn tearfully smiled.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca's letter:
"His name was Robert Kincaid."
"He was a photographer and he was here in 1965…"
"shooting an article for National Geographic on the covered bridges."
"Remember when we got that issue, how we felt like celebrities?."
"Remember when we started getting the subscription?."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn finds a magazine in a box.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"That's Roseman Bridge."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Then she finds a picture of Kincaid in a magazine.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"That must be Robert Kincaid"
ーーーーーーーーーー
She found him wearing her mother's pendant in the picture.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn:
"And that's Mom's medallion."
Francesca:
"I don't want you to be angry with him."
"I hope after you know the whole story..you think well of him, even grateful."
Michael:
"Grateful?"
Francesca:
"It's all there, in the 3 notebooks."
"It was the week of the Illinois State Fair."
"The two of you were going with Dad to exhibit…Carolyn's prize steer."
ーーーーーーーーーー
From here the scene changes to the past.
Meeting suddenly
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"It was the Sunday night you left."
"I know it sounds awful…but I couldn't wait for you to leave."
"You were going to be gone until Friday."
"Four days, just four days."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca puts on an opera and prepares a meal.
Being from Italy, she has a slightly different sensibility than Americans.
Play opera with music or drink iced tea.
She's a reader and she read Yeats' poetry collections.
Her husband Richard and 17-year-old Michael entered the room for dinner
close the door tightly.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"What did I tell you about the door?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
After that, Carolyn comes down from the second floor and changes the opera song that Francesca was playing to a pop song.
It is a depiction of Francesca putting up with it for her family.
Francesca asks her to pray before eating, but Carolyn just says "pray" and starts eating.
Carolyn is in a rebellious phase right now.
Francesca finishes cooking and takes a break to watch her family eat.
And she smiles as she watches the family eating.
However, she has a somewhat lonely and bored look.
Francesca has a very busy life taking care of her family.
After seeing her family off on a trip, Francesca plays her favorite opera and enjoys her alone time.
She was doing things like cleaning up the house while relaxing and letting her hair down.
And when she was drinking iced tea alone at the eaves during a short break, a car came.
Washington photographer Robert Kincaid.
He had a gentlemanly gentle demeanor.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"You know, I get the distinct feeling that I'm lost."
Francesca:
"Are you supposed to be in Iowa?"
Robert:
"Yeah"
Francesca:
"Then you're not that lost."
Robert:
"I'm looking for a bridge."
"One of those covered bridges in the neighborfood."
Francesca:
"Roseman Bridge?"
Robert:
"That's it"
Francesca:
"You're pretty close."
"It's only about two miles from here."
Robert:
"Which way?"
Francesca:
"Well you, go that way…and at Cutter's turn left."
Robert:
"To Cutters?"
Francesca:
"Cutter's a farm."
"Small house, close to the road."
"Big, mean yellow dog."
Robert:
"Mean yellow dog, okay."
Francesca:
"Then you go along that road until you come to a fork."
"It's only less than half a mile."
Robert:
"And then where, after the fork?"
Francesca:
"The right."
"And then you…"
"No, no, not that fork."
"Excuse me."
"You pass Peterson's."
"Peterson's a farm."
"And past the old school house you turn left."
"It would be easier to tell you if the roads were marked."
Robert:
"It certainly would."
Francesca:
"I can take you if you want."
"Or I can tell you."
"I can take you or tell you."
"It's up to you."
"I don't care."
Robert:
"I wouldn't want to take you away."
"No, I was just going to have some ice tea, and then…"
"split the atom, but that can wait."
"I'll just get my shoes."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert smiles at Francesca's back.
Then Francesca gets in his car for directions.
To the covered Roseman Bridge
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Where to?"
Francesca:
"Out, then right."
Robert:
"Out, then right."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Occasionally, the camera changes to Francesca's gaze.
It conveys Francesca's interests and feelings, and it makes your heart pound.
It's a wonderful performance.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Wonderful smell to Iowa."
"Kind of particular in this part of the country, you know?"
Francesca:
"No"
Robert:
"It's hard to explain."
"It's in the loam of the soil."
"It's got that…kind of rich, earthy…alive, well, maybe not alive."
"You don't smell it?"
Francesca:
"Maybe it's because I live here."
ーーーーーーーーーー
It is easy to see that Francesca is tired of the countryside.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"I guess so."
"Smells great though."
Francesca:
"Are you from Washington?"
Robert:
"Yeah, I lived there till I was in my mid-20s."
"I moved to Chicago when I got married.
Francesca:
"When did you move back?"
Robert:
"After the divorce."
"How long have you been married?"
Francesca:
"Long time."
Robert:
"A long time."
"Where're you from? "
"Do you mind me asking?"
Francesca:
"No, I don't mind your asking."
"I'm from…"
"I'm born in Italy."
Robert:
"Italy?"
"From Italy to Iowa?"
"Where in Italy?"
Francesca:
"We lived in a small town on the eastern side…"
"No one's ever heard of : Bari."
Robert:
"Bari? I know Bari."
Francesca:
"No, really?"
Robert:
"I was once on assignment to Greece and I had to go through Bari."
"…to get to Brindisi."
"I was looking out, it looked like a pretty country."
"So I got off the train and stayed a few days."
Francesca:
"You got off the train because it looked pretty?"
Robert:
"Yeah, I did."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert touches her leg briefly as he tries to reach for the cigarette in the glovebox.
Francesca is a little conscious of Robert.
And she’s surprised when a cigarette is offered to her face.
Francesca receives a cigarette and has it lit.
The wind is coming in from outside, so Robert is close to her face to block the wind with his body and hands so that the fire doesn't go out.
The production that shows that kind of thing to the audience is good.
It's not disgusting, is it?
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"So tell me, how long have you lived in Iowa?"
Francesca:
"Long. You just got off the train and stayed without knowing anyone there?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
She doesn’t want to talk about it too much.
Francesca gets back on topic.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Yeah."
ーーーーーーーーーー
On the way to the Roseman Bridge, they crossed two old bridges and finally arrived at the Roseman Bridge.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"That's it."
Robert:
"It's beautiful!"
"This is great."
ーーーーーーーーーー
A beautiful bridge filled with corn appeared around it.
Charming Robert Kincaid
Francesca stares at Robert through the gap in the bridge.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Always this hot around here?"
Francesca:
"Oh, yes. This time of year."
Robert:
"There's some sodas in the truck if you'd like one."
Francesca:
"I'll go get one."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca goes to the truck bed to get it.
She’s worried because she can see his underwear from his travel bag.
Francesca loses sight of Robert while drinking a soda.
Robert is picking flowers around the area, looking for them and giving them to Francesca.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"You caught me."
"I was picking you some flowers."
"Men still do that, don't they?"
"I'm not out of date, am I?"
"Picking flowers as a sign of appreciation?"
Francesca:
"No. Except those are poisonous."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert is startled and drops the flower to the ground.
Francesca laughs,
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"I'm kidding, I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
Robert:
"Are you sadistic by nature?"
Francesca:
"I don't know why I did that."
"They're beautiful."
"I'm sorry."
ーーーーーーーーーー
This exchange shortens the distance between the two.
Nice music is playing at the same time.
The two return home.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"I want to thank you for all your kindness, Mrs. Johnson."
Francesca:
"Francesca."
Robert:
"Robert."
Francesca:
"Would you like some ice tea?"
Robert:
"Yeah"
ーーーーーーーーーー
Stimulating conversation
Francesca puts the flowers she received in a vase.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Aren't you afraid to have those in here?"
Francesca:
"I'm so sorry, I did that I don't know why I said that."
Robert:
"How old?"
Francesca:
"Michael is seventeen, and Carolyn is sixteen."
"'Things change."
Robert:
"They always do."
"One of the laws of nature."
"Most people are afraid of change, but if you look at it as…"
"…something you can count on, then it can be a comfort."
"There's not many things you can really count on."
Francesca:
"I guess."
"I'm one of those people it frightens, I think."
Robert:
"I doubt that."
Francesca:
"Why do you say that?"
Robert:
"From Italy to Iowa, that's a big change."
Francesca:
"But Richard was in the Army there."
"I met him when I was living in Naples."
"I didn't know anything about Iowa."
"I just cared that it was America, and…of course, being with Richard."
Robert:
"What's he like?"
Francesca:
"He is very clean."
Robert:
"Clean?"
Francesca:
"Yeah. No. I mean…"
"He's other things too."
"He's a very hard worker…very caring…honest."
"He's gentle."
"He's a good father"
Robert:
"And clean?"
Francesca:
"Yeah, clean."
Robert:
"And you like living here in Iowa, I guess."
Francesca:
"Hmm, yeah."
Robert:
"Go ahead. I'm not going to tell anyone."
Francesca:
"I'm supposed to say:"
"It's just fine."
"It's quiet and the people are really nice."
"And all that's true."
"Mostly."
"It is quiet."
"And the people are nice."
"In certain ways."
"We all help each other out."
"If someone gets sick or hurt, all the neighbors come in."
"They pick the corn, harvest the oats or whatever."
"In town, you can leave your car unlocked, and let the kids run around."
"Don't worry about them."
"There are a lot of nice…things about the people here."
"And I respect them for those qualities."
"But…"
Robert:
"But?"
Francesca:
"Well it's not…what I dreamed of…as a girl."
Robert:
"I scribbled something down the other day."
"I often do that when I'm out on the road."
"Kind of goes like this:"
"The old dreams…were good dreams"
"They didn't work out, but I'm glad I had them."
ーーーーーーーーーー
The two look at each other.
Robert shyly said,
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"I don't know what it means."
"I thought I might use it someday."
"Well, anyway, I think I know how you feel."
Francesca:
"Would you like to stay for dinner?"
"There's not much in town."
"And you'd have to eat alone."
"So would I."
Robert:
"Yeah, I'd like that. I'd like that."
"I don't get a home-cooked meal too often."
"I'd like that a lot."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca sneaks a glimpse of Robert washing himself in well water.
Francesca is becoming a woman from a housewife.
Francesca asks herself.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"This is ridiculous?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
Even so, she’s gradually attracted to Robert.
Francesca happily put on the earrings.
Dinner for two
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Anything I can do to help?"
Francesca:
"To help what? Cook?"
Robert:
"Yeah. Men cook."
Francesca:
"Okay, sure."
ーーーーーーーーーー
It's drawn in contrast to Francesca's family sitting and eating silently.
Robert approaches, reaches out and grabs the ingredients on the other side of Francesca.
Is it because Robert is single or does he have a habit of picking it himself instead of asking for it?
Francesca becomes conscious of Robert.
Robert opens the car door to get a beer and gently slams it shut.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"Very nice…"
ーーーーーーーーーー
She mutters.
It was dinner, and the two of them got excited about talking about Robert's trip.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"What's the most exciting place that you've ever been?"
"Unless you're too tired to talk about it?"
Robert:
"You're asking a man if he's tired of talking about himself?"
"You haven't been out much, have you?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca reacted sensitively to the word "haven't been out much".
Francesca has a complex about living in the countryside and not knowing anything.
When Robert saw Francesca's expression,
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Sorry. I didn't mean to make it sound like some dumb statement?"
Francesca:
"Maybe it's a little dull for you…"
"telling this to some housewife in the middle of nowhere."
Robert:
"This is your home."
"This isn't nowhere"
"And it's not dull."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert invites Francesca for an evening walk.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"You've got it all right here."
"No, I'm serious."
"The silver apples of the moon, and the golden apples of the sun."
Francesca:
"Yeats."
"The Song of Wandering Aengus. No?"
Robert:
"Good stuff, Yeats, huh?"
"Realism, economy,sensuousness, beauty, magic."
"All that appeals to my Irish ancestry."
Francesca:
"Would you like something to drink?"
"Maybe some coffee or brandy."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca suddenly felt guilty for going outside.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Francesca, are you all right?"
"Francesca, we're not doing anything wrong."
"Nothing you couldn't tell your kids."
Francesca:
"Yes."
ーーーーーーーーーー
With that said, she took Robert's glass and made a toast.
Reactions of children
ーーーーーーーーーー
Michael:
"He's getting her drunk."
"That's what happened."
"Maybe he forced himself."
"That's why she couldn't tell us."
Carolyn:
"He did not."
"He's such a…nice guy."
Michael:
"Nice? He's trying to sleep with somebody's wife!"
Carolyn:
"I don't think so."
"And that doesn't make you a bad person."
"He reminds me of Steve."
"Steve's…weak, immoral and a liar, but he's still a nice guy."
"He just shouldn't be married."
"At least, not to me."
Michael:
"I had no idea it's gotten that bad, sis."
Carolyn:
"Please, don't feel sorry for me."
"Nobody's forcing me to stay."
Michael:
"Why do you?"
ーーーーーーーーーー
Carolyn understands a little bit of her mother's feelings.
Talking at Dawn
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"Why did you get divorced?"
Robert:
"I was never around."
"So, why'd I get married?"
"I guess I needed a home base."
"Roots."
“You can kind of get lost on the road.”
"I was more at home everywhere than just in one place."
"Kind of like a citizen of the world."
Francesca:
"Must get lonely sometimes."
Robert:
"No. I never indulge in that."
"I have friends all over the world I can visit now and then, if I feel like it."
Francesca:
"Women friends too?"
Robert:
"I'm a loner, but not a monk."
Francesca:
"You really don't need anyone?"
Robert:
"I think I need everyone."
"I love people."
"I'd love to meet them all."
Francesca:
"That's the thing about Iowa."
"You tend to meet the same kind of person repeatedly."
"So…when Mr. Delaney has an affair with the Redfield woman the town wakes up."
Robert:
"There's a lot of that going around."
"It seems to me there's too much of:."
"This is mine, and he or she is mine."
"There's just too many lines being drawn."
"That kind of thing."
Francesca:
"Doesn't it scare you?"
"Being alone?"
Robert:
"I don't think so."
"I think I embrace the mystery."
Francesca:
"Do you ever regret it?"
Robert:
"What?"
Francesca:
"The divorce, I mean."
Robert:
"No."
Francesca:
"Do you regret not having a family?"
Robert:
"Not everyone's supposed to have one."
Francesca:
"But how can you live for just what you want?"
"What about other people?"
Robert:
"I love other people."
Francesca:
"But no one in particular."
Robert:
"But I love them just the same."
Francesca:
"It's not the same."
Robert:
"I know it's not the same, but…"
"what you're saying is it's not as good, it's not normal."
Francesca:
"That's not it."
Robert:
"I have a bit of a problem with this American family ethic…"
"that seems to have hypnotized the whole country."
"You probably think of…someone like me as a…"
"poor displaced soul who's destined to wander the planet…"
"with no TV or self-cleaning oven.
Francesca:
"Because someone decides to have a family doesn't mean they're hypnotized?"
"Never having seen a gazelle stampede doesn't mean I'm asleep in my life."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca overlaps her life.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert:
"Want to leave your husband?"
Francesca:
"No. Of course not."
Robert:
"I'm sorry about that."
"I apologize for that."
ーーーーーーーーーー
They are here to protect each other's identities.
Neither can take a step.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca:
"What made you ask such a question?"
Robert:
"I thought that's what we were doing."
"Asking questions."
Francesca:
"We were having a conversation."
"You ask me questions…"
"reading all these meanings into it that I must be too simple to interpret or something."
Robert:
"I'm sorry, I apologize."
"Roseman Bridge at dawn."
"I better be going."
Francesca:
"I'm sorry"
Robert:
"I apologize."
"You must forgive me."
"That was a very indiscreet question."
"It was dumb."
Francesca:
"I feel like something's been spoiled."
Robert:
"No, it was a perfect evening, just the way it was."
"Perfect evening, a nice walk."
"Thank you for the company and the brandy."
"You're a good woman,Francesca."
"Keep the brandy forward in the cupboard."
"It might work out after all."
"And don't kid yourself, Francesca."
"You're anything but a simple woman."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert respected Francesca's way of life.
Be a strong woman with a core.
And then Robert leaves.
She got a call from her husband Richard when she wanted to follow him.
She looked at Robert in the sky and saw him off.
They talked all night long and it was almost dawn.
Want to see him again!
The sleepless Francesca read a poem by Yeats.
As the music plays, she touches her neck, undoes her robe, and cools herself in the night breeze.
It's as if I'm still wondering if she’s okay as a woman.
It's a cute scene of Francesca, full of sorrow.
Francesca writes a memo in her study where you can see the beautiful sky before dawn.
It was an invitation letter to Robert.
She’s writing on a Yeats poem.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca's note:
"If you’d like supper again when ‘white moths are on the wing’ come by tonight after you’re finished."
" Anytime is fine."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Then drive to Roseman Bridge and leave a note on the bridge.
It's a beautiful scene with yellow dogs running side by side before dawn.
When Francesca came home from work in the fields in the morning, the phone was ringing.
Thinking it was from Robert, Francesca jumped out of the tractor and ran to pick up the phone.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca's phone voice:
"Johnson's."
Robert's phone voice:
"Hi, it's Robert Kincaid."
"I got your note."
"W.B.Yeats and all."
"I put it in my pocket and didn't read it right away because…"
"the light was changing."
"Had to get my shots."
"But I do accept your invitation."
"It'll have to be later though."
"I'm going to the Holywell Bridge and shoot there."
"After nine, how about that?"
Francesca's phone voice:
"Yes, your work's what's important."
"I'll make you something nice so we can warm up when you get here."
Robert's phone voice:
"Maybe you'd like to come along with me."
Francesca's phone voice:
"Yes, I would like that, but…I'll drive my pickup and meet you."
"All right?"
"What time?"
Robert's phone voice:
"How about six?"
Francesca's phone voice:
"Okay"
Robert's phone voice:
"Great."
ーーーーーーーーーー
Francesca is very happy, takes the money from the piggy bank and goes shopping in town.
And she bought a nice dress.
A woman named Lucy is rumored to be having an affair.
Lucy comes to the restaurant where Robert is eating.
Everyone in the restaurant, both the customers and the store clerk, knows about the affair.
They had a cold look on her.
Robert gives up the seat next to Lucy.
The attitude of the clerk behaves as if she came for what.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Café clerk:
"Well, are you ordering anything?"
Lucy:
"No, Thanks. I've changed my mind…"
ーーーーーーーーーー
Lucy left the restaurant.
Lucy is saddened by the behavior of those around her and cries alone in the car.
Rural, strict ethics. It's an exclusive place.
Robert sees such a scene and contacts Francesca.
If it causes trouble, he says that he can cancel the dinner.
Francesca says she still wants to see him.
ーーーーーーーーーー
Robert's phone voice:
"I don't want this to sound the wrong way but…"
”I'm wondering if this is a good idea.
”I had lunch in town.”
"And I crossed paths with that Redfield woman."
Francesca's phone voice:
"I guess you got the whole story."
Robert's phone voice:
"The cashier at the grocery store was most generous."
Francesca's phone voice:
"He's running for town crier next year."
Robert's phone voice:
"I learned more about the Delaney affair than I knew about my marriage."
"If it's going to be a problem for you to see me tonight, don't do so."
"I'm sometimes not too bright about people's reactions."
"I wouldn't want you to be put in a compromising situation."
Francesca's phone voice:
"Yeah, I understand."
"That's very kind of you to think of that."
"Robert, I want to come."
"So I'll meet you at the bridge like we planned and don't worry about the rest."
"I'm not."
Robert's phone voice:
"All right."
"I'll see you then."

My little back stories of the friendship and (platonic)relationship.
When i was 11.I was the exchange student who used to travel around the world with a few parts of the countries.I absolutely love Ukraine so much, even i used to be Ukrainian to speak Russian - my native and first language. Then i understand Ukrainian(language) and English.I really always liked to talk to everyone. But the thing is:I was diagnosed with an Autism and speech development. When i exchanged to a new school - special international school however.I was really nervous at first and was scared if they do something bad to me.Most of the teachers are not that bad,but sometimes seeing me like i was completely hurt and embarrassed of the appearance since 5th grade. When i first time met my first teacher,my english teacher who is a female and she's really sweet and friendly and she sees me like an innocent angel to her opinion.I started to like her a lot to be my favourite English teacher at that time. When i first time saw my own classroom. The room was not that small for some shelves(clothes, books and items),furnitures, desks(teachers and students),blackboard, etc. When i first time came there with my English teacher and my mom,i got caught some of the other classmates who used to study there or who was transferred from another city. Some of the classmates. There are 10 boys and one girl who looks much taller than me and she has a nice outfit with a dress.I sometimes gets really nervous to speak and super quiet not able saying to them hi first.I wasn't confident enough to introducing myself,so my english teacher - Miss Grytsulyak(in Ukrainian transcription) did it for me.
(Miss Grytsulyak)"Dear student!! Attention please!!Meet your new friend and a new student.Angelina Allexeevna Lichman and she's 11 years old,she is a transferred student from the 4th grade. Please, give her a bit of an attention and she will be grateful!!!"
To be honest,i really wanted attention. At first,i really wanted fully, but in the other side, was a little ignoring it in the future. As my teacher and my mom was signing up for study.I felt a tap on my shoulder and i looked at the other side to see the same girls with the same height as me.At first, she was very friendly girl to the other friends, but inside, she looks really sweet having long brown hair who has the same as mine, but eyes are different.
Tonya:H-h-h-hi,n-n-n-n-nnew girl.Yo-o-ou look really cool a-a-a-and really c-c-cute.Wanna b-b-b-be fr-r-ri-riends? - she stutters asking me to be friend.
Cute!?What!!She called me cute!!!!I was like feel a heat on my cheek and i was blushing of calling me cute.Is it in a friend way??Or sexually way????I nervously agreed to be her friend. At first,i was really excited to have friends for so long.As she grabbed my hand and lead me to meet other friends. Then i noticed 3 boys who was a bit around my age.The boys with a messy hair with different hairlines and found out that was twins and the other boy is look like a softie. The names of the three boys are Boryslav(a.k.a Boris),Nasar & Rodion. The other boys are Ruslan,Igor,Yuri(boy name),Kostya,Eugen,Daniel(Danya) and Vladyslav. They were getting really busy to talk to us and got distracted by playing on their phone.I was really curious and wanted to see what are they playing. When i see the game and was really cool one for boys apps of them. Some of the boys are very tall, like a giraffe.Or a little short, because of the tall height from the age.Well, the same as age as mine and not the same as mine and who was got almost older, but a year ago. Then i was more confident and decided to become the boys friends and Tonya as well.Me and Tonya are like besties for a long time. She always stutters because of the diagnosis as i found out myself.Whenever she speaks, she was like gonna pause and continue her words.I really was scared to see the feeling because she was really attracted into her, because of the looks she has. When i was home and we did facetime and having fun talking to eachother.I really scared to tell my feelings to a girl, like Tonya that i love girls for no reason. Is it because she called me cute for no reason.Maybe i just hide it before that.
Somewhere a year later in Autumn,in 6th grade. As i was writing some words on the blackboard since i have glasses because of Myopia which is I can't see from a far a little blurry and i only can see only close. When i was minding my business at break time,a boy with a very nice hairstyle and wanted me to give me a very cute gift and his name is Ilya.
"Hi Angela, how are you doing today?" - he asked me wondering the day.
"Oh, it's nothing much.I just wanted to mind my business with drawing because i have nothing to do anyway" - i answered glancing at him.
"That's good to hear that" - he excitedly exclaimed.
Then i noticed something in his hand hidden behind his back.I was really curious about it.I asked him what is this a gift from behind, but he resisted to not tell about it in a rush. Then i didn't have a choice and turned back to my own thing as he glances at me blushing and i didn't noticed it.As i was continued it and finishing it,i noticed the same gift from Ilya and sees him sitting with my other boy best friends.I peaked at the gift and found out that was a very cute earring of crystal.I was really loved this gift from him. Then i found a note.I grabbed a note and read it.
"Dear Angelina,in the beginning when you first time came here to our special international school a year ago since 1st of September in the first call.In my opinion,i was like having my first love at first sight of your first appearance in my life.I really have a crush on you for a long time and we've been friends for a year and gotten ready for another year.I was really scared to show my feelings because you weren't ready for it.I really thought that you were ready to have a relationship in romantically.Whenever we are hanging out,i was really felt really comfortable.I really wanted you to be my girlfriend.
Sincerely,Ilya.
P.s Meet me at the changing room"
I was really surprised by his letter for me from him.Maybe i have a little crush on him back, but i don't feel like it in a relationship. So i hide the letter on my album.
After school,i went to the changing room where he was standing in our closets where are the jackets and boots were hanging.I went to his spot.
"Hi Angelina,i was really have something important to tell you something" - he said almost feeling serious.
"Okay but be quick.I was in a hurry at home" - i replied with a little rush.
He told me something that make me get really curious and he said that i should go a little closer to him. Then said i should close my eyes.So as i did and as he was going to leaned me into a kiss, but i feel rushed already. As he was going to kiss me,i stopped him with an excuse that made him friendzoned.
"Oh my god, I'm in a hurry. And about the earring is quiet cute. But about the note.....I'm sorry Ilya..." - i paused turning into his face - "But i wasn't ready for an early relationship right now.I really loved to be good as friends(platonically) and i see you as my brother to me and i didn't really want to ruin our friendship between us because you love me as a bf and gf,but i don't feel in a relationship.I really didn't want to hurt your feelings and get friendzoned by me,because....i wasn't into it right now.I hope you'll understand that".
He seems really hurt of what i just said.I really wished to have a relationship, but it's too early to do this now.So he replied that he is fine with it and accepted it.When i wore my boots.I hugged him before i leave the school.I said thanks for the earring to him and i quickly went off leaving him behind.
When i was at home,i started thinking of something that my soul can't get of my mind of it.I was super scared and confused right now.God!!!Help me!!! I was slowly having a crush on my boy best friend, but i was feeling attracted into girls.Am i hallucinating or something????Or am i a bisexual!!Are they gonna leave me because i am not straight!!!!!!Omg,i was super confused and stressed at this point.I really didn't want to hurt Ilya's feelings and show Tonya's feelings in front of her.I was also feel little scared to lose my classmates by telling my friends that i wasn't straight.I really wished to have a support to comfort.
In 7th grade, around winter. When i was like going home. The road is very icy and slippery. As i was almost at home,i slipped and i feel the pain on my left elbow.I feel like i was almost got, like a bruise, but it's actually i broke my elbow bone and couldn't able to move my arm.I skipped school around 3 weeks before my elbow bone recovered it up and able to move completely.
As i was back to school,Vlad was really worried sick because i wasn't school at the moment.I reassured him that i wasn't feeling well because i broke my elbow and need to recover it up.He was super worried for not seeing me again and i keep saying him once again and again. Some of the teachers didn't know why i was absent at school for a few weeks and skipped all the time.
In the end of the 10th grade in February.Me and my parents decided to live in Germany for i don't know how long why the war between Russia and Ukraine started around 5:24 a.m in the morning at that moment.I was really scared of being killed by a drones and recharging rockets.I always wanted to escape this nightmare and live in peace in Germany. The problem was before going to the Poland,my dad got an issues for the adult men have a obey from military in Ukraine. My dad really didn't want to stay in the military for our own safety, for our Ukrainian people and i obviously didn't want that Ukrainian people died in the dangerous and serious war and it left me and my mom only.In another midnight as me and my mom finally at Poland,we stayed at the station and finding a place to stay for the night and we found a guy and took us to a very nice and cozy hotel. The room was a little small. They also have bathtub, twin beds and a TV hanging on the wall along with a remote. In the next day,we finally got a ticket to the Berlin, taking us to a very long ride trip.
A few more hours later,we we're finally in Berlin. Then i met one of other Ukrainian of my step-parent's friends and one of the uncles and taking then to my step-parents for staying over until not having our own house with separate rooms.Me and my parents have got some Ukrainian documents/passports, certificates(diagnosis and birth) when i finished the final school study and saying a long goodbye to my special international school,my classroom-teacher,other teachers and my best friends and now i waa forgetting Ilya's confession of falling in love with me and lost attraction into girls for growing up.But i realized that i already feel bisexual at that moment. In the beginning,i was normally straight since i was 11(in the beginning).I really wished to have someone who was really had feelings once, but i was completely confused and lost.Maybe my parents also didn't noticed that i am bisexual. They only see me as straight girl grown-up woman who needs to marry me anytime, boys only.I really don't feel comfortable to find my first love at this moment.
And now,i decided to move on and have my own regeneration of my origin life before the future myself.
When i was trying to get my mind of it by finding some friends so i can chat and talk to.As i have got my Tumblr once and i then decided to make some posts of some cool design, which is Rosie(a.k.a @innocent-angel-girl ) - my first best friend.I always feel really attractive to her being a friend, but i really didn't understand and scared it to show my feelings for making anyone feel uncomfortable and awkward.I always hide the feelings of it,but i wasn't sure if she is ready or not.I sometimes really understand her decision, respect, opinion, etc. The more i wait, the more and the merrier i wait for the choice.I will always wait anytime if she's feel like it or confident.I sometimes understand that some people didn't wanted to show it because they felt insecure, immature and loss confidence. Moreover,i sometimes really wished to have a first and true secret love for me and it's hard to approve or denying it.And that is it why i found my own confusing sexuality with friendship/relationship and friend-zone.
Here are the photos from the long times:

Tumblr fans can’t begin to comprehend the anti-blackness in this fandom. Pick any black character and go read the comments under their Wiki Fandom page. It doesn’t matter if they are MC’s friend or MC’s rival. Then go pick any non-black character with a similar storyline. Compare the tone of the comments. Syphax’s first comment is:I wanted Him dead but Choices forced me to take the deal. The posts about the black female characters are really disturbing. I see the same posts on Fb and Instagram
On the contrary - I believe quite a few Tumblr fans do know about this. Which is often why many of us just choose not to engage at all - or engage as little as possible - with those ends of the fandom. I myself first started engaging with Choices fandom via FB, before finally moving to Tumblr coz I just didn't like I was seeing there. But you're right that a chunk of the general Choices fandom - and that includes Tumblr - cherry picks the way they respond to black characters vs the way they respond to either white characters or certain characters of colour, and so does PB itself.
