WIP Wednesday - Dearly Beloved chapter 4 (pt. II)
“You’re not some trust fund kid are you?” He whispered.
Stephanie bowed her head. “What gave it away?”
“You looked like you were ready to stab yourself with one of those,” Jason said, tilting his chin towards the silverware. “My first time?”
She looked up at him and leaned in.
“I accidentally set the curtains on fire. Bruce was the only one that noticed, though by the time he did, I’d mostly put the whole thing out already.”
Jason’s survival instincts had kicked in immediately, but it wasn’t from the flames. He had only been living at the manor for a couple days, and at the sight of Bruce walking towards him, Jason shrank into the baggy fit of Dick’s hand-me-down tuxedo. He hadn’t been sure what to expect, a scolding for sure—maybe worse. Definitely not laughter, which he’d already picked up on as rare from Bruce, and for him to ruffle Jason’s hair, saying “I always hated those” with an offer to pick out new ones together, along with whatever else he might want for his room. “This is your home now too, Jaylad.”
Jason bit down hard on his lip to stop it from trembling, shook his head like it would somehow loosen the knot in his chest.
“Point is,” he croaked, then cleared his throat. “Everyone here is way too self-absorbed to care about you.”
The soft baby!Jay and Bruce moment that has wedged itself permanently into my heart. Also a wild Steph appears! As does Tim and Bruce and Talia and me asking myself why I put so many characters in one chapter and still doing it all over again for 5 (don’t be like me learn from your mistakes kids)

Now that I’ve re-read the chapter from Baekhyun’s POV, It’s time for everyone to gather ‘round and analyze his best quotes!
>> THIS MADE ME SO SAD. He’s so disturbed and he’s desperate for her because she’s literally the only one who can bring him any sort of peace. It reminded me of this scene from Alice In Wonderland:
>> This one speaks for itself. Like wow. “I consume the filth, the rot”. He has one of those god complexes like Light Yagami from Death Note.
>>I WAS GEEKIN AT THIS. I don’t know if you meant for this to be an Easter egg but calling Chanyeol “The Big Bad Wolf” reminded me of a certain hunk who lives out in a snowy cabin in the woods.
>> “I may be a pervert, but I’m not a fetishist.”
>> “...until my mouth is a thought away from yours.” Shakespeare who? I demand schools teach Piper!
>> THIS PART HAD ME HOWLING. HE WAS SHOOK TO THE CORE. OL GIRL HAD HIM SWEATIN

And one more bit from the “Kings of the Sky” AU albeit several installments in, because I just......don’t know when or why I stumbled into an obsession with the dynamics between Dick and Jason and Cass as the eldest three Wayne siblings, but its there, its real, and its happening. I’ve stopped fighting it. I just....enjoy writing those three being dumb siblings who are dumb like so, so much.
Anyway, in this AU series, Jason doesn’t go to Ethiopia and die, but rather eventually joins Dick at Titans Tower more regularly and is Flamebird. Both are closer with Bruce here than in canon because Dick helped Bruce and Jason get through the Garzonas stuff and Jason helped kick Bruce in the direction of Dick and adoption papers right after the Brother Blood storyline. Then Cass is actually the third to join the family, by way of Babs, and she’s Batgirl and then Black Bat, but there’s a period of time when its just Dick, Jason and Cass as the Wayne kids.
(PS - this is the same series as where Jason ends up with his own age group of Titans, and accidentally falls into a love quadrangle of doom that is absolutely NOT a polycule dammit, with Tom Bronson (Tomcat), Ray Terrill (The Ray) and Todd Rice (Obsidian). Which amuses his brother and sister to no end).
Tim and Duke are both next, but sorta at the same time? Like Tim’s story takes a sharp turn when Robin II never dies and obviously is Flamebird now like Robin I is Nightwing, and Tim winds up in foster care after his parents die differently than in canon. Duke is also in foster care at this time, though a different placement, and while no Robin has died here, its been awhile since there’s been one in Gotham, and to kids who grew up with the idea of there always being a Robin, that feels weird and wrong ultimately.
So Tim and Duke both hit on the idea of being Robin like, at around the same time and totally disconnected from one another, and that leads to them both joining the Batfam around the same time, and co-sharing Robin until Damian arrives much later and they both move on to new identities. But there’s no real confusion between Robins because Duke is the daytime Robin with more yellow coloring in his costume and Tim is the nighttime Robin with more red, and people say Red or Yellow if they ever need to differentiate which Robin they’re talking about. Anyway.
So [Tim and Duke] run into trouble eventually and then when running from trouble they run into each other and they’re like….huh. Awkward. And then they decide well, might as well both run from trouble in the same direction, I guess. So they do.
“Did you have a plan for dealing with these guys?” Tim yelled at Duke. The other boy looked back over his shoulder briefly and gave what would probably have been a half-shrug if he didn’t awkwardly try to barrel-roll over a car two seconds later.
“How sorta are we talking about? Maybe the two of us together could fill in the gaps in the plan and come up with one full plan?”
“Uh yeah, no, its not that kinda sorta. I meant sorta in the sense that I thought I had a plan but it didn’t work and that’s why these guys are after me. Sooooo…”
“Not helpful, basically.”
“Yeah. Pretty much. And hey, I don’t hear you offering up a plan! Did you even have one at all?”
“Uh….I mean I kinda didn’t think I was going to need one because I figured some kid running around in a mask making a nuisance of himself was the sorta thing that was bound to attract Batman. And so I was just pretty much running around until that happened, and then I’d make a case for how I obviously need training and Gotham needs Robin and if its not me its likely to be someone else trying eventually anyway so why not be me?”
Duke paused just long enough to squint at him. “That’s a terrible plan.”
Tim rolled his eyes. The effort didn’t pair well with his huffing and over-all exertions from running for his life and all that, but necessity demanded. “Yeah I know, that’s why I never said it was a plan! It was mostly….more…idea-ish.”
“I’m just saying, I thought I was doing this wrong, but at least I had a plan! I mean yeah, it might have ended up with me accidentally busting in on what I thought was a bunch of Riddler’s henchmen setting up some kind of clue thing, only it was actually a bunch of Intergang type guys with alien space guns or some shit all dressed up as Riddler henchmen for some reason? I dunno what they were trying to do honestly, but so yeah I might have ended up running away on foot from like twenty of them and some kind of hovercycle -”
“I’m going to cut you off there and say wherever this is going its probably not the superior vantage point I think you think you have.”
Meanwhile, Batman was not going to be coming because he’s off on a JLA mission. However, in his absence Dick and Jason are in town filling in, and they finished taking out the bad guys several blocks back and caught up to whomever was running from them, figured out the situation and are currently sitting on the edge of a rooftop watching them realize they’re totally lost and trying to figure out where to go from here. Mostly because Dick and Jason are incredibly amused listening to their back and forth and also just…this whole situation.
Dick justifies not piping up to let them know they’re safe now by saying this is good intel gathering so we can offer Bruce our assessment as to whether they’re gonna try and keep doing this whether we train them or not, and also how they handle this whole being lost situation. Not knowing they don’t have to run anymore isn’t going to hurt them and really, this is a good field exercise almost.
Jason justifies not piping up by saying this is fucking hilarious and I will hurt you if you end this any sooner than we have to, I deserve this, I had a rough week.
Which is right around the time that Cass pipes up from where she’s been lurking unnoticed behind them this whole time: “Oh no. Was it Tom? Or Ray? Or was it Todd?”
And she does it right in Jason’s ear so he kinda aborted-shrieks and almost falls off the roof except Cass is ready for that and grabs his arm to steady him.
“I hate when you do that!” Jason growls in an attempt to cover up how badly she got him and also because he hates when she does it which is why she does it a lot. Again, they don’t hate each other at all, but they do seem to act like it a lot, and neither of them is entirely sure why. They kinda just started doing it and have each been trying to get the other back ever since and ended up locked in an unending spiral of gotcha-gotchaback, except, y’know, Batfam style.
Dick occasionally picks sides just to muddy the waters. And then he randomly switches sides without warning, so neither of them ever wants to risk getting too peeved at him even when he’s helping the other, because that might push him fully over to the other side and leave them permanently outnumbered, so they’re kinda stuck, which is exactly as he likes it, lol.
“Why are you Satan,” Jason hisses dramatically as he gets up and stomps over to the other side of the roof to sulk, lest she almost knock him off again. Its not the almost falling part that bothers him, its that she’s the one that snatches him to safety each time. She’s like a freaking cat toying with a - yeah not going there, just blaming Selina. Knew them hanging out was going to be bad news for me somehow, he gripes.
Cass just shrugs and smoothly sits down cross-legged right where she is, grinning Cheshire-cat style at him from there. “Childhood trauma,” is her answer.
“Great, and now you’re stealing my comeback on top of it?! Is nothing sacred to you?”
She offers another shrug. He would like to return those for store credit please. Maybe get something useful instead. “Haven’t decided yet. Babs is still helping me explore my options. We’re going alphabetically and we’re only on the E-religions.”
“God, you’re the worst. I can’t believe you ruined sisters for me.”
“You already used that same line last week when you came out of your room still half-asleep and she was just sitting directly across from your door waiting and staring unblinking and you yelped and dropped your laptop on your toe, and then cursed so loud that B came running around the hall thinking we were being invaded,” Dick reported idly, still perched in the same position he’d been in all along and watching the boys below them. “Just in case you thought no one noticed when you recycle.”
“I noticed too,” Cass added solemnly.
“I have no siblings,” Jason intoned. He threw up his hands dramatically and then loudly jumped down to the street below with a little help from the fire escape. It drew both Duke and Tim’s attention and they startled before realizing it was Flamebird. And that he’d landed on the street and was stalking past them while barely acknowledging them. And that that was Nightwing standing on the roof now with his hands on his hips yelling after him.
“Oh, reeeeeeal subtle. You’re not having fun anymore so you gotta make sure nobody else does either. Wow, the Brat-like behavior, just jumped out of the shadows with that one!”
And that was Flamebird not even turning around and just yelling back. “I HAVE NO SIBLINGS!”
And also they were both pretty sure that was Batgirl crouched on the roof next to Nightwing now, and she was…..sticking her tongue out at Flamebird’s back? No, Batgirl very much definitely was sticking out her tongue, that wasn’t in doubt, it was more just….very unexpected to see.
What was happening right now?
Eventually Tim and Duke have inevitably worn down [Bruce’s] resistance to training them by insisting they’re gonna keep doing this and if its not them its gonna be someone sooner or later anyway. Because, as they put it, you guys may not know this but Gotham’s gotten used to Robins by now and it freaks people out not to see one and Robin’s as important as Batman really and there needs to be a Robin and its not just us that will think that, like look at the fact that already two of us had the exact same idea, huh? And also, we’re gonna keep doing it anyway, sooooo….there’s that.
And then Cass vouches that they’re both 100% serious about that.
And then Dick vouches that as a former determined daredevil kid that was absolutely going to keep doing the same thing no matter whether you’d helped me or not, B, I also am of the assessment that these two mean it all the way.
And not to be left out and just to have something to contribute but also grumpy because his brother and sister are picking on him and he’s eighteen going on ten, Jason throws in: “And my assessment is that they both definitely seem dumb enough to keep doing this without help anyway and they definitely need help or they definitely will die, I’d give it a month, month and a half tops.”
And then Bruce dryly thanks his children for their contributions, their keen insights in this matter have been absolutely invaluable, he has no idea how he would make a decision here without it.
“Oooh, a rare sighting of Bat-snark in the wild. Someone call Nat-Geo quick, maybe he’ll do it again,” Dick says.
Bruce sighs. Duke and Tim look like they’re trying to decide if they’re allowed to be amused or if that’s also part of some weird Bat-test that they’re probably taking without even knowing it.
So Tim and Duke move in, start training together, and then also get sent to school together and it takes a month or so of settling in before they decide whether or not they actually are happy about this. There’s a period of deciding they’re supposed to be bitter rivals who snipe at each other back and forth across the dining table at every available opportunity, but that changes the first night Dick and Jason come back from the Tower since Tim and Duke have moved in and where Cass is also home instead of at the Clocktower with Babs.
Since all three of the older Batkids, upon seeing Tim and Duke squabble at dinner, decide to obnoxiously coo about how adorable it is watching the kids play. Which pretty instantly cements Duke and Tim as realizing their best chance of surviving the sudden acquisition of three older superhero ninja foster siblings who all can be as obnoxious as they are dangerous but also as much as they are - Duke and Tim are convinced - all quite insane.
A belief further cemented the next morning, with all three of them having spent the night at the Manor as well. Treating Duke and Tim to their first Saturday morning episode of the Cass and Jason show.
In this episode, Jason emerged from his bedroom in his pajamas still but warily peeking his head out first to look both ways down the hall before deciding it was clear…..and then makes it just almost to the end of the hallway leading to the stairs, when Cass drops down from where she’d been waiting perched above the other side of the door, in such a way as to suddenly fill the doorway just in front of him, hanging upside down suspending herself just with her feet wedged above the doorway, all while keeping her hands crossed her chest, a dead-eyed expression on her face, and with her tongue hanging out like she’s some kind of vampire hanging upside down in mid-slumber.
Jason shrieked and stumbled back a foot before catching himself and shoving two fingers in a cross shape in her direction.
“Demon! DEMON! Goddammit, I abjure thee, that’s supposed to fucking do something about having a demon sister, now what the fuck does it take to banish you!?”
“Can’t be banished,” Cass informed him, still upside down. “Can be bought though.”
Jason halted. “What?”
“I’m really surprised you never figured it out,” Dick said from his room further down the hallway. He was leaning against the doorjamb, arms casually crossed.
“Why did you think she never goes after me?”
Jason swiveled back and forth between his siblings suspiciously, trying to scry both their inscrutable (and in Cass’ case, still upside down) faces for signs they were telling the truth. “You’re telling me that Little Miss Monstrous has been a pain in my ass from day one and the reason she’s never so much as eked a single boo in your direction is you’ve been bribing her all this time?”
Dick shrugged. “Its all about getting in on the ground floor.”
Jason squinted, still unconvinced. “Nuh-uh. No way. You’re just fucking with me. Like if this is for real, what have you been buying her off with?”
Dick smiled beatifically. “Cuddles and hugs.”
“NO! NO! Bullshit! I am NOT falling for this crap again, you are not gonna get me this way this time. I call BS, fuck you, nuh uh, you’re lying out your ass and your ass-face both.”
“Wait, what is this ‘this’ that I did before? What ever are you talking about?”
“You know damn well what I’m talking about.”
“Is this about the Care Bear you had when you were fifteen?”
“Shut upppppppppppppppp, I didn’t have a Care Bear then, you’re such a - “
“Oh, I dunno, I’m preeeeetty sure there’s some holiday photos from that year that would say otherwise, pretty definitively in the form of you and your Care Bear….”
“That I only had because you literally just gave it to me as a present solely so that you could claim that I had a Care Bear when I was fifteen, you douchebag!”
“Just because I gave you the Care Bear didn’t mean you had to keep the Care Bear and hold the Care Bear and love the Care Bear, Jay. You chose to do all that.”
“I only kept the damn thing because you’re an asshole who lied about it being a family heirloom so I felt like I had to or I’d be a total jerk. Is nothing sacred to you?”
“I didn’t lie! It is a treasured family heirloom! Its the first Care Bear I gave to my little brother to teach him the important and valuable lesson that Care Bears - say it with me now - “
“Finish that sentence and they will never find your body.”
“CARE!” Cass shrieked from behind him before jumping on Jason’s back and bearing him down to the floor in an undignified tangle as she splayed atop him like a starfish and he stared up at the ceiling in a kind of strangled frozen fury, like there was so much emotion he wanted to process he’d overheated and now was stuck like that until he cooled down.
That was when Dick leaned over him and solemnly added one final thought, as though it was a crucial addition of the gravest importance:: “A lot.”
Jason’s eye twitched.
Dick’s eyes went wide in response. “Uh oh. He went to the Danger Zone. Run Cass. We’ve unleashed the dogs of war!”
Cass was off and on her feet in a second, taking off down the hall like a rocket. “Not the dogs of war!” She yelled.
Dick was only seconds behind her when behind him, Jason rose like an eruption, growling wordlessly and sparks practically flashing from his suddenly flinty eyes. He charged after them like an enraged bull.
“Kenny Loggins wouldn’t want this!” Dick yelled over his shoulder as he rounded the doorway and vanished. Jason rounded it in hot pursuit.
“Poison Ivy won’t even be able to make compost from what’s left of you when I’m through!”
The yelling and running vanished into the distance. Duke and Tim finally looked at each other blankly.
“What?” Tim asked. Duke shrugged helplessly.
A door opened at the end of the hallway. Bruce stuck his head out. “Is it safe?”
Tim just stared at him.
“What?” Duke asked.
LOL mostly I just want to get to the tail end of the series, when Dick and Jason go undercover as supervillains in the Society of well, Supervillains....Dick as War Shrike and Jason as Gray Jay. (A kind of bird usually known for or referenced as being thieving and unpredictable and unexpectedly dangerous despite its size. Jason never went into the Lazarus Pit here and so isn’t as huge as he is in canon, he’s on the smaller side due to his early life’s malnutrition. Living with Bruce helped him catch up enough that he’s not TINY tiny, but he’s still smaller enough that this particular mantle fits him a little better than it would his massive canon depiction).
Cass also partakes in the undercover storyline, just showing up uninvited in a persona she’s crafted for the mission and calls Black Swan. And War Shrike and Gray Jay are both so startled and obviously a little freaked by her unexpected arrival, that combined with her being ticked at her brothers for leaving her behind, RUDE, and them sufficiently cowed and guilted by her wrath, that it all adds up to the other villains as being clear evidence that she is the boss and they are her advance minions.
Which mollifies and satisfies Cass immensely, and leaves Jason grumpy that their mission was hijacked and also his sister is The Worst, and leaves Dick temporarily disgruntled because This Whole Thing Was His Idea DAMMIT but then five seconds later finding it hilarious because Dick is a chaos connoisseur and he has an appreciation for whimsy and the unexpected.
“I can’t believe you not only gate-crashed our extremely sensitive and delicate undercover operation, but you completely hijacked it as well! This is so typical,” Jason grouched.
Cass simply swept ahead of him and strode down the hallway with lethal grace. “Silence minion.”
Jason spluttered behind her and she grinned to herself. He really made it too easy sometimes.

Only a Fool
Third Person POV:
There had been a lot of rumors at Francois Dupont College about where Marinette Dupain-Cheng had meant when she said she was moving back to her home. They all originally thought she just meant that she was dropping out of school....oh how wrong they were. Most of them had then thought that she had moved to Italy or China, and everyone else agreed. However, all of them were wrong. Marinette had moved to Gotham City, where her biological dad, Bruce Wayne, lived.
One day when it was about a month from the end of senior year for Marinette's grade, there was a new student coming in. Nobody knew much about them and nobody knew who it was, however, there were lots of rumors and theories that it was Marinette coming back. Nope, they were wrong again. The new student was a girl named Nettie, she had wavy mid-chest length brownish-blonde hair, aqua blue eyes, porcelain doll skin, she was about 5'4 and she was wearing a long sleeved teal crop top with a pullover white turtleneck sweater, black leggings and white adidas superstars. She had her long hair tied in a high ponytail with a velvet burgundy scrunchy. Once she arrived, Alya came and gave her a tour of the school and took her to the principle's office to get her schedule.
"-at's the Gym. And this is the Principal's office, I'll let you get your schedule yourself. Hope we're in the same class but I gotta get going, Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee."
Nettie knocked on the door and heard a quiet "Come in."
"Hi, I'm here to get my schedule. I'm the new student, Nettie."
"Ah yes, here you go, You'll be in Mrs.Bustier's class with Ms.Cesair, the girl who gave you the tour."
"Perfect, thank you!"
'Great! I don't have to figure out a way to get to Ms.Bustier's class without being suspicious now.' She thought to herself. She left the office and went to Ms.Bustier's classroom and walked in.
"Well class, today we have a new student as you all know, and she'll be in our class for the rest of the school year. If you would please introduce yourself."
"Hi, I'm Nettie, I moved here from America and if you all wouldn't mind I'd like to make you react to something, yeah y'all thought I was gonna be normal? Fuck no." She then clicked her pen and teleported them to a theater, it pretty much looked like a normal movie theater but with a smaller screen and less seats. Everyone sat down next to who they preferred to sit next to and got comfortable. Btw y'all Nettie isn't an OC of mine, my real name is Nettie and what I described is my best description of what I look like. And when I say porcelain doll skin I mean I literally look like a ghost.
Once they all were settled down and comfortable Nettie pressed play on the video. It was a video of Marinette as a five year old running around with a 19 year old boy and a 15 year old boy and clearly having a lot of fun, Alya immediately recognized them as Jason Todd and Dick Grayson and then noticed Bruce Wayne in the background.
"Um, Nettie, why are the Waynes with Mari?"
"Well Alya, Marinette's biological father is Bruce Wayne, she originally lived with him and his only sons at the time all the way in Gotham. She lived with them until she was 6 years old and Bruce was starting to get scared for her safety because of Gotham being such a dangerous place and sent her hear to live with her mother, Sabine."
Nettie unpaused the video. It showed a few more memories until it skipped all the way to Marinette being 15 and hanging out with Conner Kent. They saw many memories similar to it but different each time.
"Are they dating?" Alya asked.
"You'll see, just wait." Nettie said with a smirk.
After a few more of the memories they got to a video, Nettie pressed play on the video and they began watching it. Marinette and Conner were singing Summer Feelings together until the song finally ended, Marinette was about to leave when Conner grabbed her hand and started singing to her.
There's some things about you I know I don't like
But I can't stand not having you right by my side
I would trade eternity for just tonight
You might be crazy but at least I know you're mine
Just say that you feel the same
I'll show you what I really mean, yeah
'Cause even when you're afraid
I could be your remedy
Conner grabbed her other hand and interlinked them, holding her close.
Only a fool would turn down your kiss
'Cause girl, you got magic all in your lips
I'm so for real, this is not foreplay
Girl, just one touch and I'm not the same
He kissed her forehead and held her in his arms pouring out all of his love for her.
Only a fool
Only a fool
Only a fool
Only a fool would let you go
Just say that you feel the same
I'll show you what I really mean, yeah
'Cause even when you're afraid
I will be your remedy
Jon could then be seen running around and dancing to his brother's singing, making the two older teenagers laugh and Damian in the background facepalm while questioning how he was related to Marinette and why he was friends with Jon.
'Cause only a fool would turn down your kiss
'Cause girl, you got magic all in your lips
I'm so for real, this is not foreplay
Girl, just one touch and I'm not the same
Only a fool
Only a fool
Only a fool
Only a fool would let you go
Only a fool
Only a fool would let you go
Only a fool
Only a fool would let you go
Only a fool would let you go
Only a fool would let you go
He kissed her forehead again and hugged her.
"Marinette, I've loved you for years. Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Ofc you fucking dumbass, but- why'd you have to sing the whole damn song to ask me??" Marinette asked while laughing.
"Uh- 'cause I felt like it- and I'm uh- well there's no turning back now so I guess I'll have to deal with this embarrassment now-" Conner stammered.
The video ended and Adrien was almost fuming with jealousy even though it had been years since he had seen Marinette.
"Adrien, stop bein a jealous little shit. Last time I checked you were Adrien Agreste, not Barry Allen." Nettie said.
"Okay, I guess I was too late for my chance with her either way, I missed my chance." Adrien said.
"Well damn, my best friend is dating my idol's son. I feel a little left out since I wasn't informed of this until today but okay." Alya said.
They chatted for about ten more minutes until Nettie teleported them back to their classroom. Once they got back they just went on with their day as usual and felt happy for their friend.
This is not beta-read, nor are the Marinette Dupain-Cheng and her secretive life. These are all stories on wattpad, if I'm transferring anything from wattpad it's not beta-read.

I've talked about a Coraline Au before but I finally decided to give some detail into it.
Beldam (Other Mother): Catherine Ann Todd
Mel Jones (the mother): Alfred Pennyworth
Wybie: Marinette Dupain Cheng
Coraline: Jason Peter Todd
Other Bobinsky: ???
The Cat: Plagg
The Other Cat: Evee
Charlie Jones (the father): Bruce Wayne
The Other Father: Willis Todd
Miss Spink: ???
Other Spink: ???
Miss Forcible: ???
Other Forcible: ???
Sweet Ghost Girl: Rose
Ghost Boy: Marc
Tall Ghost Girl: Alya
(For those three it's more of a "this is what they look like and this is their names" thing than a true character)
Wybie's Grandmother: Jared Stone (Uncle Jagged)
This starts directly on the morning Bruce brings Jason into the family (tiny excerpt above). Bruce convinces him to walk around the neighborhood of Gotham Richest and most hightech homes. At the end of the street their a large park meant for the children. He decides to walk to it and while there he finds a "staler"; Marinette.
He meets her there and she does a brief explanation of the pond and why its been closed off. She then gets called by her uncle Jagged and quickly explains that she spends summers with him
Jason then goes back to the manor. Alfred asks if anything happens and Jason quickly tells him about Marinette before trying to rush off. Alfred, however, stops him and keeps him back to talk about her, peaking his interest.
Time skip a few days and Jason is with Bruce when a scarecrow attack breaks out, pulling him under the influence of fear toxin. He gets the cure and goes home and Bruce tells him to sleep it out. That night he "dreams" of his mother in a much cleaner state from how he last say her. And to his surprise, his father is there
Time skip again, we all know what happens that night, but the next morning he wakes up. Bruce has to go to work again and Jason is left alone until Alfred gets home and decides to go back to the Garden.
Halfway there he sees Marinette playing near the open gate of Stone Manor.
He walks over and talks to her again, referring to her as Stalker.
She gets upset about it and defensive but ultimately shrugs it off in favor of showing him her sketchbook. Its in the middle of looking through it that her cat comes up to them
"his name is Plagg. Aunt Penny says he's feral and can't have him because of Fang. But he gets in whether I lock the window or not"
She says before feeding him a piece of the donut she had been munching on.
"Looks more like a sissy to me" he snarles as he walks off, practically throwing the sketchbook onto the sidewalk.
Again, Jason has another "Dream" with his mother and father. When Alfred and Bruce take him out the next day to get him new cloths he mentions it again. Even mentions a "better" Marinette (which makes Alfred a bit upset"
Once back at the house, Alfred walks away to do laundry and clean the new cloths Jason got.
Bruce then offered to make Jason something to eat in which Jason tells him off and walks away to his room.
Later that day Jason walks downstairs to see that Bruce had been asked to come back to the office and that Alfred had make food for Jason.
Jason then goes back to the otherworld and gets stick there
Stuff happens, yada yada yada, and he gets out. Even makes up with Marinette and creates a bond over destroying the beldams needle hand.
As well as throwing the key into the pond
Story ends kinda dark when Jason, traumatized and feeling alone from Alfred, Bruce, and Dick never being around, decides to find his mother
We all know how that ends
That's the story but for anyone that wants to know what happens after this, here it is.
I'm thinking that when Superman Prime dies, breaking reality, it brought the miraculous into the earth they are on but it also brought Jason back
Now Marinette is 16 (Jason would be almost 18 but due to the whole dying thing is mentally and physically 14)
It take the pits and the league that get him to the physical and mental state he should be at
Time goes on, Marinette ends up permanently moving to Paris when Jason dies but ends up being sent somewhere when Hawkmoth arrives
No Fu and the order wouldnt exist in this timeline so theire could definely be a different hero villain timeline as well
But years go on, Marinette tucked away in New York with Chloe and her mother, while Jason is slowly recovering in Gotham
Its only after Marinette turns 22 (Jason 24) that Marinette comes back to Gotham inorder to find out what happened with Jason's "dreams" and the Beldam

Todd Coat of Arms
So, this has been sitting in my drafts too long, and it’s vaguely related to what I’ll be posting next. Here’s the family crest for Fox’s last name, Todd. I picked this last name for her because I knew it meant ‘fox’ at its root, but not with any knowledge beyond that.
In researching the coat of arms, I find that the colors and the motto really fit her well. The green almost perfectly matches the color of her coat, and the flame red recalls the color of her hair. Oportet Vivere translates loosely to ‘it behoves us to live’ or 'one must live’, which mirrors Fox’s personal ethos of doing what you must in order to survive.
Is it bad to relate to a character in Bojack? I know Bojack is bad but was everyone else as bad as he was?
I don't think "bad" would be the right term here but pretty much every character had their issues. PC was a workaholic who put her job (and bojack) over everything, including her own mental health, Diane had depression, everyone in Bojack's family had some kind of (generational) trauma, Mr Peanut Butter was incapable of leading an adult relationship, Todd was kind of okay but had a messed up relationship with his mom for the longest time.
I think one of the great things about this show is that it doesn't sugar coat all of this but rather shows you that everyone has their problems and that some people manage to ask for help and get better and some people never do. Diane for example went to Therapy and things got better for her when she started taking her meds again. PC learned to put herself (and her daughter) first. Todd worked things out with his mom. But then there's also Sarah Lynn for example who unfortunately never got the support she needed. Or Beatrice who was severely traumatized as a child and never worked through it and rather traumatized her own child in return. And then obviously there's Bojack who in the end tried to do better and bet better but whose addiction and past actions caught up with him.
My post was mainly meant as a joke, but if you really do relate to one of the characters, maybe ask yourself why and what you might be able to learn from them. None of the characters are "bad" per se and neither are you for relating to them. But they do all have their issues and that's something to consider. It doesn't mean you literally need therapy. (Even though I do think most people should probably go to therapy).
Like personally, I can relate to PC bc I'm also kind of a workaholic but I also really felt that episode where you can see all these different versions of her while she's doing everything she has to do and then she ends up breaking down bc she didn't let herself catch a break when she needed it. That's for example something you can reflect on. Like if a certain scene really speaks to you, you can ask yourself why. Sorry if this is super long, but I got the feeling you might be kinda young, so I wanted to explain a bit what I meant.

Jump Then Fall || Ariana & Athena
TIMING: After this.
PARTIES: @athenaquinn & @letsbenditlikebennett
SUMMARY: After a not so great visit with Chloe, Ariana comes home to Athena feeling a little blue.
CONTENT: Mentions of emotional abuse, sibling death, and parental death.
The drive home had been entirely on autopilot. It was one of those drives where Ariana couldn’t remember a single part of it. She’d be stopped at a red light and look up only to find she didn’t even recall when she stopped. That meant it was no surprise when she found herself in her normal parking spot at the apartment unsure of how long she’d even been sitting there. The fact she had Love Story on loop probably didn’t help her sense of time, but at least it was helping the song get more streams, which may have been her most successful endeavor to help anyone as of late. Her feet dragged along the pavement as she made her way up to her apartment. Even that felt like a blur and weariness was probably evident to anyone who passed her by. Her mind had shifted from the conversation with Chloe and somehow left her with the ways she failed the people she loved on loop- Sammy and Todd. Even Celeste and Winn. Something akin to guilt made her chest feel all too heavy. At what point did she give up helping? At what point did she come to terms with the fact her attempts to help only seemed to make things so much worse? As she opened the door, she saw Athena at the counter and could smell hints of cinnamon though she couldn’t bring herself to smile. Not fully. “Hey,” she greeted with as much of a grin as she could muster though it came off as more of a grimace as she plopped down onto one of the bar stools she’d built herself, “What are you making?”
Athena wasn’t sure that she’d ever get over the exceptional comfort she felt in Ariana’s apartment. Even when Ariana wasn’t there, everything still felt safe. She’d gotten into a few schools so far, and was expecting to hear from more soon - all of that should have been a celebration. She knew that if her parents were alive, it would have been. Praise and her favorite meal cooked, even if they all knew where she was going to attend. UMWC. She’d gotten into other places - and based on some of her interviews, she knew that she had a good shot at even more. Stanford, Tufts, UCLA… she had the chance to leave town, but as she fiddled with her necklace, part of her wasn’t sure if she’d manage it. Somehow, the strangeness of finally having freedom to do most of what she pleased made her want to stay close to home even more. Not to mention, everything with Ariana was so good - genuinely good in a way she wasn’t sure if many things had ever been, before. Which meant that she’d decided to bake. She’d chosen a recipe today that would at least keep her thinking - keep her mind off of things. She heard Ariana open the door and come into the kitchen, and she glanced over at her - her smile more sympathetic than bright as she attempted to match Ariana’s mood. “Oh. Cinnamon twists. I’ve not made something just like this before so I figured I should try. They’ll be in the oven soon.” She bit her lip. “How are you? I’d kiss you but I’ve got dough on my hands, still.”
It was difficult for Ariana to stay too lost in her feelings when she took a peek at Athena’s handy work. There was a soft smile on her face as she took a deep breath in. The smell of cinnamon always vaguely reminded her of Saturday mornings with Celeste. It was a nice little memory to hold on to, though it made it hard for her to completely shake away the doubt she was feeling. “They smell great,” she said quietly, “I’m sure they’ll be delicious.” With how much precision and attention to detail Athena had, she doubted her baking would be anything but delicious. She laughed softly at the dough on her hands and shrugged, “I’m…” She thought it over for a moment and found for once she struggled how to put what she was feeling into words. “I visited Chloe. The one who was stuck with Lydia all that time. It didn’t go great.” She fidgeted with her hands for a moment before she asked, “How are you doing?”
“Well, you’ll be the first to taste them, and you know I appreciate your opinion above most anyone’s.” Athena bit her lip, focusing more on Ariana. The cinnamon twists could wait - and they were mostly done, anyhow. She listened carefully as Ariana began - noticing the way that she hesitated, taking in what she said - though brief, it explained at least in part why she didn’t appear to be more like her usual self. “Ariana, I’m - you’re so good to have even tried to visit her, I am so sorry that it didn’t go great. I -” she scrunched up her nose. “I’m fine. Figuring out what to do with the whole ‘starting to get into med schools’ thing but…” she held up her finger for a moment, before turning to wash off her hands. “Would a kiss help at all? My hands aren’t all such a mess anymore.” She ran her thumb along the ring that Amanda had given her. “Or if you want to elaborate you can - or - well, whatever’s best for you. Did she - can I ask - did she not want to talk to you?”
“Most, huh,” Ariana joked with a slightly raised brow. It was much easier to make jokes and flirt than it was to sit with the feelings she had after leaving Chloe’s. “Alex Morgan still have me beat in that department?” While it did make her feel a little better, she still felt so unsure. Here she was with her perfectionist girlfriend and that made her… well, it sure didn’t make her feel any more certain about her own ability to make a positive change in this world. Then, of course, she was reassuring her and was quick to now wash her hands so she could comfort her more adequately because that was what they did. They were there for each other, but right now, she didn’t feel so deserving of it. “Yeah, I guess you’re right, it was okay at first it just… I don’t know.” She looked down at her own hands for a moment before looking up to Athena. Normally, she felt so sure of herself, so entitled to feeling her own emotions, but in the scheme of things, this all felt silly. Still, she nodded, “I’d like that. Please.” She took the moment to welcome her girlfriend’s affection and take in the scent of cinnamon, her perfume, and something that was so distinctly Athena. If she could bottle that, she would, but it always lingered all over the apartment so much so that even when she wasn’t there, it comforted her.
“I think I probably should,” Ariana added, “I think we were doing okay at first. I made her a little map and marked places to avoid, but I brought Sammy up. Because he’s still… well, he’s here. Well, maybe not like here here right now, but he hasn’t moved on yet. And I didn’t think ghost sounded crazy next to… you know, fae. But she kinda flipped out a little.”
“I mean, if she wants to ever give me advice on anything, I think I’d have to take it but - no. I value yours above anyone’s. Force of habit to make it - to...” Athena bit her lip. “I still think about my parents too much, maybe.” She took in a careful breath. It had been so long and yet she still found them and their thoughts in her mind far more than she wanted. With Ariana she could be honest, though - even with pieces of herself that she still felt like she should hide, either out of shame or because it wasn’t the sort of thing she was supposed to talk about. “I don’t - nobody knows everything always.” She sighed for a moment, “even if that’s hard for me to admit. Things change, I think far more than I realized - probably more than I still realize, now.” She didn’t like seeing Ariana as anything but ready to take the world by storm, but there was a certain part of her that also found comfort in the struggles. That someone who she admired so much, who she found so endlessly comforting, could also struggle. No matter how much she wanted to take all of that pain away from her. She could do something of that, for now. She kissed Ariana softly, taking another moment for just the two of them. She gave her hand a squeeze as she broke away, not letting go just yet. She’d let Ariana decide when.
“That’s good of you. I’ve - I should probably talk to her sometime, given how vocal she is about fae, but I haven’t gotten the courage to do much beyond a surface-level conversation.” Athena nodded. “He’s - right.” She glanced around. “I hope he doesn’t mind how much of your time I take up. But -” she nodded. “Oh. Oh no, Ariana - I’m so sorry. I guess maybe when it’s really all she knew, anything more can be overwhelming? Did she make you leave? You can tell me anything else you need to. I think - well, I’m not great at understanding how people process stuff, I don’t think. My brother’d probably agree on that, but maybe having to process anything more than what she’s allowed herself to is too much?”
“I mean, I’d also stand behind any life advice Alex Morgan has to offer, so yeah, you’d pretty much have to take it. But I value your insight, too,” Ariana said with a hint of a grin on her face before the mention of Athena’s parents. It made sense, she’d grown up idolizing her parents. Taking all the lessons they had to teach to heart until one day she couldn’t anymore. Some of that had to still be ingrained as much as she hated to admit it. “I think that makes sense,” she said slowly, “But you’re already better than they could ever be. I know you are.” Athena could never hurt Rio. Never hurt her own children the way her parents had. Her hand found its way into Athena’s, a place that felt natural at this point. As if even these small touches were instinct for her now. With a gentle squeeze, she added, “You’re so much more than what they taught you. You’re strong and brave, sure, but you’re also as loyal as they come. That loyalty to the people you love, only makes you stronger.” It’s why she was still here and they weren’t. She found her thumb tracing patterns on Athena’s hand as she spoke and somehow, it helped. Hearing Athena, who always seemed so sure of everything say that no one knew everything soothed her. “Yeah, I know you’re right,” she agreed even though it still felt like maybe there were some things she should have known, “Some things we learn as we go.”
For a moment, she allowed herself to focus solely on how soft Athena’s lips were on hers. On how easily her senses could be clouded by the smell of her perfume and how soft her hair felt in between her fingers. In small moments like this, everything could seem okay and she hadn’t realized how much she needed that. As they parted, she took note of her girlfriend’s words. “That’s probably not the worst idea. I don’t think she knows what happened between you and Lydia. Maybe not the best thing to mention, but still not great to talk about fae on main,” Ariana said with a slight sigh at the end. Chloe didn’t have the right vibe or Tik Tok presence to write crazy things she said on the internet off as trolling. “I know you’re probably right. It was probably too much for her to process or she wasn’t ready, but yeah, she asked me to leave. Thought I was making the whole thing with Sammy up. I just, maybe I should have known to approach it more gently, I don’t know. Sugarcoating things isn’t exactly something I’m great at. And then there’s the fact Sammy is still a ghost at all and I have no idea how to help him move on.”
“Well, if I ever happen to get life advice from her, you’d be the first person I’d share it with.” Athena offered another smile. “I’m glad you value my insight though - I like to think I’ve got some idea of what’s going on in the world.” At least, she used to think that - but she also genuinely wanted to do well by Ariana, even if it made her confused - wanting to do well outside of her duty, for someone who did seem to care for her a great deal. “I guess.” She sucked on her lip for a moment, uncertainty wavering throughout her whole body. She gratefully welcomed Ariana’s hand, her eyes feeling briefly wet before she blinked a few times, squeezing Ariana’s hand back. It felt right. Right and comfortable - the gentle way that their hands found one another - after everything with her parents, even before they’d both acknowledged their feelings, Ariana’s presence and touch had always managed to help Athena breathe a little easier. “I - I don’t always feel strong. Which - I’m supposed to be, always have been supposed to be that way. I’m the one who punched kids in elementary school if they even looked at Ri funny. I’m the best at what I do - on every level.” She gave Ariana’s hand another squeeze. “I think I - I’m working on being strong outside of them. Outside of what they said.” She looked up. “It’s easier for me to say that than to believe it, but I think it’s true. Some things have gotta be learned on the fly.”
She liked the way that she could completely lose herself when she was with Ariana - how everything else seemed to melt away, to become unimportant. How steadying it felt - grounding and calming and everything she’d come to realize her home had never really been (no matter how much she still didn’t or couldn’t fully admit that). Athena nodded. “I - yes, I do not think she would know specifics, and I am not especially keen to share that because of the whole not-wanting-to-get-arrested deal, but I wonder - if I can do something. At least help her feel safe, because I’m kind of - well, more than kind of - a fae expert and she deserves to feel safe, after everything she’s gone through.” She looked down again, bringing Ariana’s hand up to press her lips against it. “Ask Ri - I’m not great at being careful with my wording always, either - but you wanted to share that with her and I don’t think that’s a bad idea. I guess - she’s human, right? Going with yes - but that comes with lack of awareness often, I’ve found. Remind me to tell you some stories from when I was in school, sometime. I think it actually shows that you care a whole lot that you decided to share that with her. Yeah? I don’t really know much about the whole moving on thing with ghosts but - does he not want to? Or is it something more?”
“I’d expect nothing less,” Ariana responded with a small smile forming on her face. If her girlfriend were to ever have an honest to god conversation with Alex Morgan, she was pretty sure she would be hearing all about it and she wouldn’t have it any other way. They’d fallen into a comfortable sort of rhythm and getting insight into Athena’s daily life was something she held very dear. The feeling of Athena squeezing her hand had a sort of grounding effect that she always seemed to crave. She watched Athena with soft features and noticed the way her eyes just almost had a mist to them. It hadn’t been that long since everything with her parents had happened. What they put her and Rio through wasn’t just something that could be shaken off in a matter of months. Hell, it was approaching a year since she’d lost Celeste and it still felt raw some days. Trauma and grief were just like that. All anyone could do was ride the waves of it all and try to find solace in the ones they loved. “Even when you don’t feel strong, you are. And you’re not supposed to be anything. I know- Being strong and brave has been ingrained in you, but all you’re really supposed to be is your best. Some days your best is amazing. Other days, even when things are still and you have to sit with everything that hurts, that’s still your best, too.” She found herself tracing patterns on Athena’s hand as she continued, “I know you are. And one day there won’t be any doubt of that. You’re so much more than what your parents wanted for you.”
As difficult as it was to talk about anything regarding what happened with Lydia, Ariana found herself breathing a little easier. She’d never been one to hold things in, but everything that happened with Lydia had completely thrown her for a loop. It had shown her just how in over her head she really was in town. “That’s probably for the better,” she agreed, “I’d miss you too much if you ended up in prison. I think giving her tips to stay safe from fae would probably be a good thing though. May make Chloe feel more at ease. She does deserve that.” There was a small smile on her face as Athena mentioned she wasn’t always the most careful with her words. She could understand that given it was rare Ari thought before she spoke. “I’m sure he could, but for the most part, you’re pretty on top of it. I think we all have moments where we don’t say the best thing. At least you probably don’t catch yourself almost saying promise. But yeah, she’s human and I don’t know, I thought maybe knowing Sammy looked out for her would make her feel… I don’t know. It felt better for me knowing Celeste was at peace. At least once Blanche explained it to me. Sammy… it’s nice he’s looking out for us, but I want him to find peace, too, you know? Then at the same time I don’t really want to say goodbye. I’ll have to talk to him through a medium soon, figure out what it is keeping him here because I don’t really know.”
“You know me too well.” Athena smiled - a year ago - or heck, even just six months ago, that thought would have been terrifying - especially that someone who wasn’t human knew more about her than practically anyone else. Even her brother didn’t know everything that Ariana did. “I can be, I suppose.” Her voice was always softer around Ariana. Sometimes, she wondered if she could have been this way more, if not for whatever her parents raised her as. Whatever that was - she still didn’t know, some days. Thinking about it - focusing on it - too much led her to a place that she didn’t like to think about. Didn’t like to acknowledge. “My best is supposed to be the best.” She chewed on her lip. “The best, no contest.” I don’t know what my own personal best is. Is that something I’m supposed to know? I just did the best out of everyone at anything ever. Except when I screwed up and didn’t manage to get valedictorian. “Okay. Okay, I trust you.” She ran her hands through Ariana’s hair, down to her shoulders. “I - I guess.” Some days it feels like I am nothing without them. She fiddled with the necklace Ariana had given her for Valentine’s Day, reminding herself to stay grounded. Don’t lose it, not now.
Focusing on what Ariana needed was easier. “Good, I’d miss you too. Plus orange or whatever they have to wear doesn’t really suit my whole look, you know?” Athena attempted a half smile. “I’m not gonna go to jail, and yes. Besides, I don’t want her to get targeted by fae and if she keeps talking about them, some are going to try something.” She matched the smile with one of her own, brushing her hands against Ariana’s arms. Part of her just wanted to say that they shouldn’t focus on this, and that going to the couch or the bedroom would be better, to just both cuddle forever and forget about the world around them. “That’s true - I guess I’m good with them, my dad always trained me to be. Probably could’ve done debate team in high school but I was already doing so much, and I already had an advantage in sports, it wouldn’t have been fair to do that in multiple extracurriculars.” She pressed a small kiss on Ariana’s forehead. “You thought it would be comforting to her. Maybe it was, on some level, but she didn’t know how to process it. That makes sense about Celeste - and about Sammy. You’ve always wanted the best for him. That makes sense - talking to someone. I hope you’ll be able to get a better idea of what he needs.”
While it wasn’t how Ariana normally processed things, she could understand that some things were easier left unsaid. Between Rio and Athena, she could piece together that the Quinn parents had been far from great to their kids. There were little things about Athena that made it apparent they were hard on her, that they expected a lot from her, and a lot of that was painted in the high standard she held herself to. As much as she admired her girlfriend’s tendency to strive for perfection, she also wanted Athena to know that as she was, she was enough. More than, even. “You are,” she said again, this time more softly and with a kiss following it. Outside of the fact the Quinn parents would have rather seen her dead, she felt a certain anger toward them when it came to how they treated Athena and Rio, two people who meant more to her than anything. She scooted her stool closer to Athena, finding she just wanted to close any distance between then and let her hand find Athena’s again. “Well, to me, you are the best,” she assured, “And you don’t need to be perfect for me to keep believing that.” There was no unraveling years and years of conditioning in one night, but she’d keep reminding her until there was no more uncertainty around the subject. Ari could tell there still was based on the way she fiddled with her necklace, so she simply moved a hand to her shoulder and offered another gentle squeeze. “I know you trust me, but it’s okay if you still believe parts of what they taught you, too. I’m here either way, okay?”
There was a small grin on her face as she shook her head. “I think you look hot in all colors, but then again, I can’t see most of them,” Ariana said with a laugh. “Still, I’m glad there will be no jail time for you. I’ve gotten pretty used to nightly cuddles and all.” It felt nice to focus on them for the moment though she knew Athena was right about the fae thing. If Chloe wasn’t more careful, she’d end up back in harm’s way far too easily. “You’re right though. Drawing attention to herself… well, it’s dangerous. Especially here. I just want her to be okay. I know that she won’t be for a while, but like, safe at least, you know?” If anyone could help there, she knew it was Athena. Maybe she’d come to Chloe with too much too soon, but one day, she hoped Chloe could believe her. For both her sake and Sammy’s sake. The soft kiss on her forehead soothed her, “Yeah, I think so. I hope to some degree it can comfort her. And maybe help Sammy. Once I meet with another medium, I can figure out just what it is he needs and help. I guess there’s not too much use in over-worrying about it until then. I at least found a medium to meet with, so on the way there.” The smell of the cinnamon twists was starting to become harder to ignore as her stomach lightly rumbled. “How long until the cinnamon twists are done,” she asked with an intentional sheepish look on her face, “We can maybe watch a movie and snack on them when they’re done?”
“Okay.” She never allowed herself to be vulnerable. It went against everything that she’d been taught, because being vulnerable got you hurt. That was what her parents said and no matter what Ariana said, there was still a part of Athena that wasn’t sure she’d ever stop hearing them. Hearing their anger and disappointment at what she’d turned into. Except sometimes, around Ariana, it was easier to not focus on that. “Okay.” She repeated, because she wasn’t sure what else to say. Wasn’t sure how to fully explain how much it wasn’t that way, or how much she didn’t see things as that way. As Ariana kissed her and her hand found hers, Athena found it hard to focus - but for once, in the best of ways. In how much she didn’t want Ariana to stop touching her or being near her. “Well, you’re the best to me too.” She bit her lip. It was easier to parrot that back then to refuse - because she still knew she wasn’t the best, at least not relative to what she used to be. The best didn’t end up where she was. “Okay. I -,” she worried her lower lip. “Thank you.”
She could feel her cheeks flush - the way that they always had, when Ariana complimented her. “You know, I think I still owe you a dressing up like Supergirl. Certain fae things got a bit in the way of that for Halloween.” Athena grinned. “Yes, same. I’ve also gotten used to those. Not so keen to give them up.” She would have rather just continued to focus on the two of them - which was selfish, she knew - when there was so much else to do. She was supposed to help everyone else, and allowing herself too much genuine pleasure wasn’t something she really had the time for, no matter how much she craved that. “I want her to be safe too. I - I can’t really speak too much about the other okay - I - dealing with the aftermath isn’t something I have a lot of experience with, at least in the long term.” She fidgeted with the ring Amanda had given her for a moment - once again honest with her girlfriend in a way that she wasn’t sure she’d ever really been before. Admitting that she lacked experience with anything was a surefire way to wind up in a whole lot of trouble. “I hope so too. Please let me know if I can do anything for - for either of you.” She ran her hands along Ariana’s waist. “Hmm?” She murmured, glancing over at the oven. “Just about seven minutes, I think. I’d love to watch a movie when they’re done. Your choice. There’s still a lot that I missed, since my parents weren’t too big on excessive media indulgences.”
It wasn’t a resounding agreement, but Ariana could tell Athena took her words to heart either way. Whether or not she could believe them yet was another story. All she could do now was give her girlfriend love and help her move past everything her parents put her through. For now, they could enjoy their evening. They both seemed to be in better spirits and it was hard to not take the bait of Athena modeling her Supergirl costume. “Mm, you know, you’re right. You did say you’d model that costume for me,” she said with a sly grin on her face, “I couldn’t possibly resist my Supergirl dressing the part. Good thing I don’t have to.” Sometimes it still felt wild that she didn’t have to. That she could turn over and kiss Athena at just about any moment. Yet it all felt perfectly natural at the same time. She nodded easily as Athena spoke of wanting to help Chloe. “I think learning how to keep herself safe would be a big help, but I can’t speak for her. Either way, I know she’d be lucky to have you in her corner,” she assured before extending her hand for Athena to take so she could lead her over to the couch. “All the more reason to enjoy some good movies now.” They both deserved it, whether it was an indulgence or not.

When Magog changed what it meant to be a hero, Diana was forced to change too. Just as Magog’s Justice Battalion turned to more violent means, so too did Diana. She became more violent, bitter, and angry–even going as far as to sever her ties with Bruce Wayne. Of course, it didn’t help that years prior the two of them had a similar spat when it came to Jason Todd’s death at the hands of the Joker.
Unfortunately for Diana, her newfound bloodlust didn’t go over so well with her Amazonian sisters, who stripped her of her titles.
Still, she tried to do what she thought was right and spent the next few decades adventuring and visiting Superman in his Fortress of Solitude.
After Superman’s return, Diana advocated for an autonomous state for metahumans, allowing her to take up the mantle of Wonder Woman once again.
Despite everything that happened between Bruce and Diana, the two eventually made up and rekindled their relationship. Together, Clark, Diana, and Bruce entered into a happy, polygamous relationship and raised four children together.
I finished El Camino, that's a much better ending for Breaking Bad in my opinion, but ultimately I still feel like the ending is lacking somehow. I guess while watching the movie, I just had this thought of like, "This is just another two episodes of Breaking Bad." It's pretty much just resolving the last few threads of plot that are worth resolving. I suppose that's what a finale movie is supposed to do, but I dunno, it feels weak. Nothing between the finale and the movie really has flash or excitement. We just follow the footsteps of people as they do what they have to do.
But it's still, still very fun to watch. I cherished every minute of extra BrBa I could get. Jesse is my favorite character (if I'm excluding the real favorites Victor and Tyrus) so getting a whole two hours to see what's been going on with him is so satisfying. I'm glad that after everything, he could finally get some closure.
I find myself thinking about Todd a lot. He's just such an interesting, bizarre character. So unsettling and yet probably the "nicest" character on the show. He's an important addition to the plot, and I think he's a great comparison to Jesse, though in ways I find hard to describe. Both are young men involved in criminal activity, both get thrown into violent and dangerous situations, but have such different mindsets about the world, to the point where Todd feels inhuman while Jesse gets the humanity beaten out of him.
Two things I suppose that bother me about El Camino. One is that I don't quite get why Jesse didn't shoot Todd when he had the chance, or why Todd would be so careless as to not only leave a loaded gun in the glove compartment but also ask Jesse to fetch something from said glove compartment. Not just a matter of "I don't get why Jesse didn't do it," but also "why is this scene happening if nothing really comes out of it?" I wonder what's trying to be told to me here, like, is Jesse so beaten down that he can't even commit to killing his abuser/captor? Does Jesse know there's nothing left for him even if he does kill Todd? I was left unsure what was meant to be felt.
My other issue is the wild west showdown of the climax with the welding guy. Just felt like a silly, non-Breaking Bad way of resolving that conflict. It's over the top for me, just a little too movie-magical for my tastes that two criminals would just agree to a shootout inside a building lol. Like yeah I get that Jesse didn't play fair but why the hell was this the setup anyway? I dunno, just weird to me and felt a bit awkward.
I still have Better Call Saul to watch at least so that's fun to look forward to!

What’s your character arc?
it's hard to imagine yourself when you were young. maybe you were meant to be a hero; maybe you could have been, in another world, but this world only made you sad. there seemed to be too many problems to fix and too much cruelty and too many hard lines that you did not know how to soften. the world turns and it is bloody and hard and you sit on your bed, thinking about the blood and the hardness and all you failed to do. i know it feels like you could sleep until the end of time, but i hope you don't. i hope you lift yourself out of bed one day, not to save the world, but to peel an orange and to walk in a forest; to find all the softness you could not create.

Hi I'm the anon who asked about the current Earth 2 Alan Scott. Thank you very much for answering. <3 I'm sorry you don't like him though I thought he was pretty cool Lol :D
no problem at all, i hope it cleared some things up! i don’t like earth 2 alan because he’s completely divorced from what makes alan himself and originally meant as a consolation prize for erasing todd. an alan without his history, specifically his history as a young man in 1940s, is no alan at all, as much as i’m grateful that earth 2 paved the way for canonically gay og alan

It’s not Peggy lol peggys fur is darker and she’s bigger then that. Idk what peoples obsession w this Annie girl is ... just cause her and Jeff follow eachother. (This isn’t at the anon at all btw) it annoys me a bit when people speculate like a few days ago w hearing a girls voice in the patreon, a lot of people were jumping to things. Without remembering what Jeff just said in impaulsive about his relationship status. And the girl Annie has a bf who’s part of mike and Logan’s crew. Again this isn’t about the anon ! It’s just something that’s been on my mind. Cause people prove everyday that they don’t believe guys and girls can just be friends.
I’m dead because as soon as I answered that ask I was like let me go see who Annie is and then I remember and I was like “oh no 🤦🏼♀️”
I thought the anon meant like the dog we saw wasn’t Nerf and I didn’t fully understand what they meant just because I wasn’t paying attention and lol, I was a little lost in the sauce when I read that ask
I know I said this before and I am sure the anon didn’t mean any harm by it, but I really try not to speculate on any of Jeff’s relationships with anyone unless he explicitly says something and that even goes for his friends like Todd and Jonah and others (even though I dropped the ball that one time lol and probably times before that too)
I get curiosity but I just think people jump to conclusions without any substantial reason to at times
