Candy: For the love of God, Karla SHUT UP! i did giggle ngl for context, it's ep 24 and Candy is TRYING to talk with Melody and, in my case, tell her that she never was romantically interested in Nath and just wanted to help him. I like that Candy literally tells her "i'm not going to stop being friends with him just because of you" sincere, clear and honestly needed. I don't dislike Melody as a character, because I feel like it's pretty realistic that a teen is insecure and gets jealous very easily if their crush just happens to look at someone else, but in her case it's even worse because Nath himself has told her "i don't want to date you". Thing is, as far as I'm aware from the little information that i know about MCLUL, she never really changes her way of thinking about people she's atracted to? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that she liked Rayan and was acting very similar to when she was a teen, even if she was in her fourth year of college so... yeah. I wish her character would kinda develop more past that.

#I want to take another summer class because it'll make my final semester easier since I plan to work then #but I just realized summer courses are on a different payment scale from fall/spring courses and adding another course will cost me $900+ #I do not have that kind of money rn #like if I spend that (in addition to the fact that I think I need to take a winter course) I won't be able to afford my last year #I feel so close and soooo far from completing my degree #it sucks!! #I applied to a bunch of internships for this summer and haven't gotten any positive responses so I'm feeling very down and rejected #also I officially no longer have my restaurant job. which I'm happy about. I didn't want to go back because I can't mentally handle it rn #but like I have zero income rn. how am I supposed to fund my education. my education is the only way I'll be able to get a job #that was probably too much information for Tumblr! something something........ really fkn frustrated by the way education is increasingly behaving (and encouraged even by people within it) like some kind of retail situation where students/parents are customers who pick which services they want, which are then provided for them by teachers..........this is not what i've studied 7 years for...............

#i was sick for 2 days #and now i've got emails about how on tuesday i'm supposed to have 1 on 1 teaching with a student i know but one /i/ do not teach #so 1) idk that much about him specifically or his struggles in math #2) i only know what they're doing rn in maths bc i work a lot with their maths teacher (but like logically i would not know) #and maybe most importantly 3) i literally have an exam on tuesday w my 9th grade class #in english. of which i teach. but the vp doesn't.........know this....? #i also have a surprise added 1 on 1 lesson with another student on thursday. which is a day where she and i both will be busy bc of an exam #and i don't usually see her in any subjects on thursdays...... and this email has no information about the time i'm expected to do this.. #also on wednesday i'm supposed to have 1 on 1 with this student. at the same time as I'M TEACHING ENGLISH TO A WHOLE CLASS #tomorrow morning will just be me sending out emails which are the professional version of 'lolwhut'
