#I'm only going to upgrade to Mojave
Text
‼️I'm posting my yes man fnv headcanons cause my mooties seem to really like them!‼️ : 3
-yes man is unlabeled, but the closest thing he can see himself as is nonbinary though. He prefers he/they/it, but doesn't really care about what you use on him. He's also Demisexual and bisexual!
- he absolutely loves gifts. Seriously. You could get him even the smallest thing and he'd be soooo happy! He'll also become a lot closer and more defensive over you if you did.
- Since he's not really used to being treated like a person, if you asked him about his thoughts and feelings, he would be so grateful, and his heart would melt. Before his assertiveness upgrade, he wouldn't be able to exactly say no. He can be passive-aggressive enough to get the point across.
-he likes to listen to old pre war holotapes and music, his favorite song is Johnny guitar by Peggy Lee.
- his favorite color is blue! But he also loves green since it's not really a common color to see in the Mojave.
-he loves learning about the flora on the Mojave! If your character has a high science/survival skill, he would love for you to tell him everything! (His circuit board would BURN UP if you made him something out of flowers/gave him a flower)
-since being freed from the Tops casino, he gets very uncomfortable going back or thinking about it.
-his favorite animal is birds! He thinks they're very neat and likes watching them and learning about the different species. He wants to try feeding them, but they always fly away 💔
- likes printing out little images/notes for you. He'll leave them places and loves when you get happy/excited about it. He always worries about you too, sending messages on your pipboy very often when you travel without him.
- if you tell him to divide 0 by 0, he will stare at you and then proceed to shut down.
- he likes fighting quite a bit, it helps him feel so free from his old programming. Throwing general Oliver off the hoover dam awakened this!
-kind of like one of those girl best friends in high school. If someone is causing problems for you, he's gonna get rid of it (so sometimes you have to kinda talk him outta things cause he definitely doesn't mind getting violent over you ahem cough cough)
-sucker for romance movies. Seriously. If he could physically cry he would cry at those sappy old romance movies.
-if you have autism, adhd, etc. Yes man would do his very best to research those things to understand You better! Always asks for your advice too. He also tries to tone down his passive aggressiveness after he learns your autistic.
-after he has his upgrade, he has a lot of new expressions. Surprised, angry, sad, confused, etc.
-he also loves jewelry. If you made him a freindship bracelet, he would never take it off.
-PETRIFIED of insects. Especially cazadors, they freak him out. You have to kill them for him. The only way he'll fight them is from a distance. If he sees a radroach/other insect in the lucky 38, he will SCREAM and beg you to kill it.

For the Mojave, which is the best faction to rule, and, for personal preference, which is the best faction? Personally, gonna go with House on both of these. Just curious about you, fellow Courier.
I feel House is interesting, assuming once he has the fully upgraded Securitrons and ousts the NCR he decided to secure the greater Mojave area it would bring great stability. Combine this with a Slimm Primm Sheriff and Victor in Goodsprings I think the land would be very secure. However, I'm not 100% sure he would care beyond The Strip and Freeside. He kills the Kings for turning to the NCR but with everything in House's hands, it's entirely up to his goodwill.
NCR also has significant problems. I just don't think they can hold the Mojave. Not to mention the fact that overall they really need the loss to shake things up back home and hopefully correct course. If they win and hold the Mojave then the corruption is only going to get worse.
Obviously Legion isn't an option tho.
I think in the game, though House very much is focused on the whole Capitalism thing, he is at least honorable. He wants to see humanity flourish again and seems to overall still have humanity. Everything we know about him is that he is actually a genius and has his morals, they're not exemplary but they like actually exist, unlike real life billionaires anyway. Plus he's trying to make the Courier his protégé which if we assume a good karma Courier that protects the Mojave, we can assume they would try and help the wider area.
Personally I usually do Independent Runs tho, and then headcanon the ending as being more stable. I would love a proper Independent/Followers of the Apocalypse ending that results in a more stable Mojave. However that's not really an option for the first question, and honestly might would detract from the game. Since the debate over the endings would be rendered obsolete, instead of still heing a debate.

What if the Courier wasn't interested in siding with House/Legion/NCR or in ruling New Vegas? They just want to get revenge on Benny and go back to being a mailman. After killing Benny they meet Yes Man and immediately like him, deciding to take him with them on their journeys. Since Yes Man never has access to Mr. House's files, he never finds out that they can be used to upgrade him. But the Courier is always on the look out for something to help Yes Man.
The door of the Mojave Express outpost in Primm swung open with a jingle, and Courier Six strode in with a confidence that could only belong to someone who'd been shot in the head, gotten back up again and tracked down the bastard who'd tried to do them in. "Package for the sheriff!" they called, setting a long, wrapped box on the counter. "Whoever that is, nowadays."
The Securitron that had become their ever-present shadow since their trip to New Vegas ducked precariously on its single wheel to clear the door frame. "I so love visiting towns where law and order has completely collapsed!" the happy-faced robot said brightly. "It just adds a certain charm to the experience, don't you think?"
"Well, I wouldn't say it's collapsed," Johnson Nash commented, rounding the corner from the Nash kitchen to the main office. "Just a little bit in flux. And that's Sheriff Slim, now that the NCR's got bigger problems and the Powder Gangers have all but moved on."
The courier grinned. "The little protectron that could. No idea why he's getting mail, though."
"None of our business anyhow." Johnson smiled and leaned down behind the counter to pull up his lockbox. "What'll it be today?"
The courier made a face. "NCR dollars, please."
"Heading west, I take it?" Johnson asked, counting out their fee. "Anywhere specific?"
"Our destination is still undetermined!" the Securitron replied happily.
"Really? Wandering out into the wastes with no plan?"
"Well I wouldn't say we don't have a plan," the courier explained, accepting the paper money that Johnson offered them. "We found some evidence of a pre-war scientific research facility that might have tech we can use to upgrade Yes Man, here."
Yes Man gave Johnson a little salute. "At your service!"
"How about that." Johnson scratched his chin. "Pre-war, you say? And out west. You know, my wife and I know the coast a bit. Whereabouts?"
The courier and Yes Man exchanged a look. "The Big Empty."
"Big Empty?" Johnson shook his head. "Nothing out there but nuclear craters and more desert. You'd do better poking around the vaults in NCR territory."
"They only say there's nothing out there because no one bothers looking," the courier argued.
"On the contrary." Johnson crossed his arms. "Whatever it may be, desert, radiation or giant ants, it's bad news. The Mojave Express has lost every courier foolish enough to traverse it. There's a reason the NCR steered clear of it when Caesar first moved on the dam, even if it meant they lost the chance to drive him out of the Mojave for good."
"As if that would've stopped Caesar." The courier rolled their eyes. "Even if the NCR had managed to scare him off for a bit, he would've come back anyway. Not that he'd have done much beyond sit in his camp across Lake Mead and make everyone on both sides of the river miserable, like he's doing now."
"Fair enough." Johnson fixed them with a curious look. "Heard you were invited up there, once."
"And where'd you hear that?"
"Couriers gossip, that's all I'm saying."
"Mmm-hmm." The courier looked away for some other topic, and their eyes fell on the scrap robot that had been sitting in the corner of the outpost for over a year. "You still haven't gotten that thing up and running?"
"Nah." Johnson backed off and relaxed. "I was hoping to use it for some courier work, but that ain't gonna happen."
The courier raised an eyebrow. "Mind if I take it off your hands?"
Johnson shrugged. "It's yours if you can get it working."
With a flourish of their hand, the courier laid one of the NCR bills back down on the counter. "For your trouble. Yes Man, would you do the honors?"
"It would be my pleasure!" The Securitron rolled over to the silent eyebot and bobbed forward to pick it up. He turned the metal dome this way and that, assessing it with his claws. "Oooh, an advanced model! Servos and gyroscopes need recalibration, a few replacement sensor modules might be in order, beautiful redundant systems, so why don't we just..."
Yes Man redirected some circuitry and gave the eyebot a tap. With a clank and a few beeps, the bot rose from the Securitron's claws and shook itself, almost like a dog waking from slumber.
Johnson laughed and clapped his hands together. "How about that? Keep your money, Six, that's some fine work by your companion, there."
Yes Man's screen face gained little round marks of blush around its smile. "Thank you very much!"
The courier chuckled, watching the eyebot weave circles up by the ceiling. "ED-E?" they said, reading the license plate tacked to one side of it. "Short and sweet. I like it."
"Welcome to the party, little guy!" Yes Man gave the fellow robot a salute.
"Not sure if it knows what it's getting into," Johnson said with a smirk. "We're still getting inquiries, now and then."
The courier's face fell. "Still?"
"Mmm-hm." Johnson jerked his head toward Yes Man. "The one with the cowboy face came by again last week. Offered me more caps than I've ever seen to tell me what route you were on."
"Well, tell me you took the deal."
Johnson sighed. "Ruby and I are marking you down under different numbers when we log your trips at all, but people know your face 'round here. More importantly, they know your bot's face. You're leaving him outside of towns, before you go in?"
"Always!" Yes Man replied. "I'm getting real good at hiding among the cacti!"
"Sooner or later, that Mr. House is gonna get wise to it all," Johnson said with a shake of his head. "He might respect the Mojave Express, but I don't know that he's above sending some more of those things out here to shoot us and the shop full of holes. I almost wish those convicts were still around to scare him off."
"Put in for a transfer," the courier insisted. "Tell the Hub what's going on. Get out of Primm."
"I'm too old to up and leave the Mojave again," Johnson argued. "Ruby likes the area too much to leave it. And it'll snow in the desert before I'm chased out of my own town."
"Then..." The courier bit their lip. "Send him a message personally. Tell House I've quit. Gone west."
Johnson raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"
They nodded. "The whole truth of it. I went looking for the secrets of the Big Empty, and I took the Securitron with me. If he's stupid enough to follow us out there, we'll be ready."

Hey idk if you've answered this before but I'm looking at adding some mods for fnv are there any you'd reccomend?
So here’s the thing; I recently went through nexus and installed a bunch of mods that stood out to me/were recommended to me that didn’t look too old or broken, but I haven’t actually played with all of them installed yet. I also don’t know a whole lot about modding in general. That being said, I’m gonna list em off here anyway for you and also for my own reference.
You’re also gonna wanna get this mod configuration menu, which helps to manage mods in-game.
Fixes & Script Extenders
New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) - You’ll need this for most of these to work at all.
Yukichigai Unofficial Patch (YUP) - A compilation of vital bug fixes with no further additions. Just bug fixes.
Unofficial Patch Plus - A collection of supplementary bug fixes to be used alongside YUP. Includes improved versions of popular NVSE bug fixes.
New Vegas Anti Crash (NVAC) - Says it right there in the name.
JIP LN NVSE Plugin - An extension of NVSE that restores broken features and supplies bug fixes; read through this one before toggling anything.
JohnnyGuitar NVSE - Another NVSE extender.
Throwable Weapon Fixes - A collection of fixes for throwable weapons and projectiles.
Overhauls
New Vegas Character Expansions (NVCE) - Probably the only character overhaul that just makes everyone look a little less potato without making them look hollow inside.
Water Overhaul - Overhauls various aspects of water, making radiation-free water more scarce and allowing you to refill bottles anywhere with a water source.
Starting Gear Overhaul - Adjusts the gear you start with to be more sensible and catered to your tagged skills. Recommended using along with JSawyer Ultimate.
Mojave Raiders - Adds more raiders to fight and balances their loot.
Mojave Wildlife - Adds hundreds more levelled, vanilla-friendly creature spawn points throughout the whole Mojave, based off unused vanilla levelled lists.
Mojave Arsenal - Adds ammo variants, reloading parts, and weapon mods as loot; fixes item naming conventions; improves recipes; and adds options for configuring GRA.
The Living Desert - Adds hundreds of NPCs and several scripted events; people patrolling the roads, travelling between towns, occupying locations.
JSawyer Ultimate Edition
JSawyer Ultimate Edition - JSawyer's popular mod, fully re-implemented from the ground up. A ‘meant-to-be’ mod which changes elements of the game to how they should have been from the start.
JSawyer Ultimate Edition Patches - Patches for using several popular mods alongside JSawyer Ultimate Edition.
JSawyer Mod Vanilla Number Of Perks - Changes the final total number of perks acquired by level 34 from the JSawyer default of 17 to the vanilla default of 25.
Restored Cut Content
Uncut Wasteland - Restores a huge amount of scenery and little random things which were patched out of the game post-release.
The Moon Comes Over The Tower - Restores the rest of the quest given by Emily Ortal, which requires you to go H&H Tools Factory, Camp Golf, and North Vegas Steel.
Vanilla Intro Plus - Restores the bit of the intro where Victor pulls the courier out of their own grave.
Benny Returns - Returns Benny to the game as a companion.
Other Cool Shit
New Vegas Enhanced Camera - Enables visible body and player shadow in first person, will let you remain in first person when you would otherwise be forced into third person (death/knocked down/etc).
Karma Changes - Changes the karma alignment of some NPCs, like making Caesar Very Evil instead of Neutral.
Barton Thorn Acts Normally - Barton Thorn seeks out the player himself to ask for help with the geckos.
Clarity - Removes orange/blue tints.
Harvestable Cave Fungus - Self-explanatory.
Better Pickup Prompt - Makes several improvements to the HUD pickup prompt that appears when you look at an item. (NOTE: This mod has been discontinued, but I thought it looked too good not to try it out).
Realistic Safehouse Upgrades - Gives every safehouse a workbench, reloading bench, camp fire and more containers to make them feel like home.
Eddie Hears And Explosion - Fixes one of the clunkier moments in the game, near the end of the Powder Ganger questline.
Bi Benny: The Re-Bennying - Edits Benny's Black Widow dialog to work with Confirmed Bachelor couriers, with altered working voiced + lip sync dialog.
