Solos suck ass.

I can't believe a day came where i had to click uninterested on posts about Jimin or Jungkook.

The algorithm works this way the more you interact with something the more posts about the same thing/person will show up more. You all know i'm a Jungkook and Jimin stan so naturally my algorithm picks up that i'm interested in posts about them individually or together, which also means the algorithm suggests shitty posts the same as the ones i've seen earlier.

There's this one post i've seen and i'm not gonna share it cause really both parties are disgusting but this made me think.. This is why you should be mindful of what you say because later it can backfire, and the only one receiving hate from all that is the members.

Jimin and Jungkook solos are in this constant war getting back at each other and they're both setting up Jimin and Jungkook for hate. If you're a solo congratulations do you want me to give you a cookie for that? You go be a solo in your own bubble and talk about your fav all you want, but don't forget that you're a solo so keep other members names out of your mouth, don't go thinking that by dragging other members your fav will be happy with you. Thank you for all the efforts you do for the member you are solo'ing but that's all, that's literally all there is to thank you for.

Another thing i wanted to mention since some people felt the need to bitch about it. And i'm with @kkhluvsbts in this one, you are entitled to your own opinion about something as long as you stay respectful, if you feel a bit disappointed that you can't see JK being credited on any song in GOLDEN, fine whatever those are your feelings and no one can invalidate them, but going the extra mile to diss him about that?

A gentle reminder that Euphoria was not written by JK yet no one was barking about how it doesn't associate with him or how it doesn't represent him or how it doesn't mean anything to him, and to begin with as per Namjoon's words it was supposed to be a Jimin and Jungkook subunit but they decided to go for Jungkook only.

Jungkook didn't write Seven either but because he felt a connection to it he chose that one song, it's also the way he interprets each lyrics those are personal to him. When he was interviewed about Seven he made a slight distinction between the MV and the lyrics and this to me at least showed me how Jungkook sees the lyrics for himself, not how YOU perceive them or how YOU understand them.

Should i also remind you of the poems you google when you're an X mood and you post them because it defines how you feel at the moment? Should we invalidate your state at the moment because it wasn't written by you? Should we just pretend you are lying about your feelings at the moment cause you chose to post words written by someone else?

Also since y'all are being smartasses you do realize that Jungkook didn't start working on his album very early right? I do hope y'all weren't just hypocrites pretending to care about him when you don't even realize this. Writing your own songs can take a lot and i mean A LOT some people have been writing the same song for YEARS not just weeks or months, do you think JK would be happy to give us something he didn't have enough time to write properly?

I just want to understand what's so wrong with connecting with words that you yourself didn't write? When Jungkook chose "There for you" or "Best of Me" for his GCFs he didn't sing any of those yet he felt a connection with them and felt like they were the most fitting for what he was trying to show us.

I don't know just how long this fandom will keep on being dominated by immature brains. I come here everyday hoping i'd get inspired to write something cute about my biases but end up being disappointed with the shit happening. Y'all need to get a life istg.

Post retirement Nico, having a YouTube channel for Years and playing into the memes (his ig comments are a nightmare of the same equal machinery joke) is perhaps more aware than most how people see him. he also doesn't need to care as much, he can laugh at himself -- at his own expense. he even posted what is essentially a taking L's compilation

if his polished persona is coming across as a cringe girldad who is way too excited about electric cars then by god he's the greatest male manipulator out there

I think I was halfway thru this during our last round-up and I already knew it was gonna be my fav Morrison thus far but Wowwwwwowow an already gripping story and then the final third just smacks ya outta nowhere and floors you!!! which is wild because I was already completely into it when things were unraveling in the way of slice of life / reckoning with family history and curses - such a fleshed out setting and cast of characters - but then it twists into this epic adventure at the very last second and it's just crazy how something already so layered can get even dizzier, and how complete it still feels! not overdone or rushed at all, just complete magic!!

Of Death. Minimal Odes by Hilda Hilst

there's just somethin about Hilda!!! perfect balance between bare bones simplicity + profundity to me - maybe it's striking because of how simple it is, or conversely reads as straightforward (a minimal ode if U will) because it's as if she's speaking truths that could only be articulated in a surreal way. WHO KNOWS !!! similar to my experience with With My Dog Eyes I was left with this certain ennui where it seemed like something didnt click immediately but then ofc I thought about specific lines for days and weeks after + craving more of her writing. a slow burn of affection! and the translation is so beautiful!! got me thinking about how a translator isn't ever Just translating, but also has to wear the hat of the author they're translating which is so beautifully layered to me + I have so much respect for it as an art itself

Girls to the Front by Sara Marcus

I was excited for this bc riot grrrl is interwoven in so many things/people I admire but it fell pretty flat. didn't care for Marcus's uneven prose throughout which felt peppered in as an afterthought + it was clear which topics/bands/figures Marcus favored in how much more attention + depth she gave them, which maybe is inevitable when you're personally connected to a subculture but I feel like if you're describing a book as "an epic, definitive history" of a movement, you shouldn't be so blatantly biased? it's also kinda funny in an ironic way how she condenses the experience of queer women and WOC feeling left out in a matter of like. 4 pages total. then goes back to essentially a Kathleen Hanna love fest (whomst I also love!!! but that's not what this book should've been!!) then again, I don't expect a white woman to sufficiently examine and/or encapsulate the intricacies of intersectionality so whatevz . flopperoni

I've had a copy of this for yearssss but I'm kinda glad I waited til now because it made me think so much of Leila Khaled's memoir at parts in their undying loyalty to the cause and unashamed criticism of the radical groups they longed to be apart of - in this case, the BPP and its gendered hierarchy - and it's just nice to be able to have this bridge between revolutionaries + revolutions, the embodiment of fighting the same struggle / no one being free until everyone's free. powerful and unflinching yet completely grounded and lucid in reflection - no detail felt out of place and no indictment felt gratuitous. completely demoralizing at parts (as if the american justice system could seem any more like a joke) and particularly bleak to see how relevant so much of this feels decades later (but also unsurprising when you think about america's enactment + sustaining of brutality as a well-oiled machine, the very core of its existence). just all around special and profound

for april I planned to read some short story collections but already I feel myself straying + craving something juicier so I may just let this be another wildcard month as far as ~theme goes like sorry but the heart wants what it wants and in this case it's bret easton ellis seediness!! happy spring!!!

Maybe I'm biased cause Jaime and Rebecca are my fav characters, and I really want them to interact, but I really think that Rebacca and Jaime are going to have a storyline this season.

I think this for a few reasons:

1) they're the only two characters that saw through Zava's bullshit immediately

2) I'm almost sure the "shite in nineing armor" is Jaime, cause he's a little shit who's "battle armor" (equipment/training gear) bears a number 9, and I don't think the psychic just misspoke.

3) It always felt to me that the show was aiming towards a Rebecca/Ted finale (I wouldn't mind it either way tbh I just always felt that that was where they were going with their relationship) and I feel like Ted is often a father figure to Jaime & while he doesn't put Jaime on the same level as Henry, Henry and Jaime are often justexposed in regards to Ted (scenes regarding Ted & Henry and Ted & Jaime being one after the other, Henry wearing the number 9 and asking for Jaime's autograph, Ted hearing both Henry and Jaime in his panic attacks, etc.). So, with all of that, plus the psychic mentioning that Rebecca would become a mom, I think that Jaime would be the son for that (we don't know what relationship Jaime has with his mom, so we'll have to wait and see)

So yeah, I think that Rebecca and Jaime should have scenes together, and it's a crime they don't!!!

See for the longest time i thought nobleflower was lily/narcissa cause like. Lily has been 'flower' forever (flowerpott?? Hello??) And narcissa is part of the noble house of black, so it just made sense to me. If i push them closer together in age i do like lily/narcissa as a ship, i think they're cute

I'm generally not big on shipping, i can enjoy ships from afar but i personally dont ship them, there have been about 6 ships in total over all my fandoms that i've ever properly shipped, so i wouldn't say i really have any wlw ships i properly ship. I do enjoy seeing things about pandalily and when i read atyd i honestly thought mary and marlene would end up together so i have a bit of a soft spot for them when they do happen, but it's all very passive enjoyment

i do think sirius would have a bit of a problem with jegulus, in canon adjacent settings more so (see amtc obviously) based on the fact that james is his best friend. I think it's less of a jealousy thing and more of trust thing, although i guess they do go hand in hand a bit. It's the fact that he cried so much about regulus to james and suddenly reg and james are a thing so obviously sirius would have to wonder if james tells regulus the things that sirius said about his brother, and i think he would struggle a bit more opening up about regulus to james, because james is now biased in his judgement. In that sense i think he is a bit jealous and at times would probably wish james wasnt dating regulus. (Sirius would certainly be jealous of james for getting along with regulus so well though. James managed to do what sirius tried for so long and eventually gave up on)

In AU settings like operation wanker i think those feelings are a looooot less but would probably still bubble up every now and then, sirius getting a bit territorial about james, but i think regulus would just kind of have to come to terms with the fact that every now and then he will walk in on james and sirius sleeping half naked in the same bed cuddled together under one blanket. and sirius is confident enough in both his friendship with james and relationship with his brother that feelings of jealousy or inferirority would barely ever arise

i want a copy of this incredibly bad! probably my fav thohh cover of all time! 1000/10

kinda boring and plain, but better than some of the other covers, and i like how dead the eyes look lol. 6 or 7/10

now this one kinda irks me, cause if you're gonna have the cover be the house obscured by plants, why not choose oleanders?? they're much more plot significant, and would work well as foreshadowing. 5/10, but would be rated much higher if they were oleanders

this one's interesting, cause while it captures the vibe of a lot of scenes in the book, i still think it would give the wrong impression to someone just picking it up. idk which of those women are supposed to be Eleanor, but i wish she was also more forefront than who i assume to be Luke. 7/10, intrigued by how it feels both accurate and gives the wrong impression at the same time

kinda messy. not my fav, but the eye is a nice touch ngl 5/10

i quite like this one actually. the colors and composition are neat, and i like the vague face in the top corner. give the feeling of looking through the house's pov spying on Eleanor. 9/10

As claude is my fav character in FE16 one of the things that confused me about people praising Three Hopes GW as the "true claude" because GW Claude uses more violent methods to get what he wants and therefore somehow that means he's the manipulative schemer we the devs always intended , it just made me go ??? Like what??

Cause as your post pointed out, he already was a manipulative schemer in FE16. like we know he uses people to try to push things in his favor, but because it wasnt outright violent then somehow that made him a goody two shoes???

Like uh no. He's not a goody two shoes and he has always been morally ambiguous. he always had these flaws. it's one of the reasons I like his character.

the difference was he drew a line at how far he'd go.

Like why bother using force or violence when you have Hilda to charm people into doing what you want? Why fight the church when you can use them to bring in recruits to take down Edelgard and end her war? Why not use Byleths influence to bring people together in Fodlan and then use them to establish peaceful relations between Fodlan and Almyra? Why use violence at all when you can use guile.

Anyway hes always been a little shit lmfao. I can't blame people for not liking him for it either its totally understandable! The reasons you dislike him are why I like (and hate) him. He's secretive and he's manipulative, always has been.

But to his credit, he does have his limits and when he goes too far he steps back , apologizes or admits his faults, reevaluates and tries to do better- with ehh varying outcomes. And that's so realistically human. He's a work in progress.

He chooses to seek the truth, he always wants more information, and he's willing to hear people out. This plus his self awareness and willingness to change his view based on new information is IMO his greatest strengths. Everyone has biases, but how many of us are able to look at ourselves and consider what if I'm wrong.

By the end of the game his character is very different from where he began. His stance on Rhea and Fodlans faith by the end of VW is perhaps one of the most obvious changes.

But yep, as you said, Claude is a work in progress, and I'll even say he still evolves between VW's end and his epilogue card*!

Yellow units have always been a wild card in FE, they're not your allies like green units, but they have their own allegeances and might become enemy units later on, or not.

And even if Claude has a manipulative streak and sometimes prioritizes his goals instead of the means used to reach that goal, Fe16's Claude is a Claude who is shown being able to take a step back, reconsider, realise he's wrong and ultimately move in another direction.

Claude can apologise and learn.

But there are lines Claude will not cross to reach his goals, at least in Fe16. And those lines are what Flamey jumps over during WC.

Come Nopes and... Clout crosses the same lines VW's Claude wouldn't have crossed, Claude can manipulate and be sneaky, Claude doesn't start wars. Fe16's Claude offers his sympathies to Billy after Jerry kicks the bucket, he doesn't give Billy his best Caellach impersonation.

And when his Nopes version refuses to consider other POVs or even reconsider, it's annoying because, hey, we know Nopes wasn't supposed to portray the lords in a good light else the player who inserted in Billy would feel bad, but we came from a Claude who learns and admits (even if it's subtle) he was wrong...

I know Almyra is a sour subject - I can think of both doylist and watsonian reasons why Claude never adresses the elephant in the room, even in the Fe16 room - but ultimately in his ending cards Almyra and Fodlan finally have their famous peaceful relationships and king Claude even furthers bonds with the two states, so it sort of worked in the end!

ooh good question! i have so many kpop-related moments that are my favs. all of them don't really include the idols but if it is the realm, then I'll list it below:

back in 2018, i went to seoul and go to apgujeong-ro to visit the old jyp ent building. my local tour guide was asking "where do we wanna eat?" and offered a restaurant on the same road where her boyfriend works as a head chef. it was actually smt house aka a restaurant made by sm ent aka the restaurant sm uses for their halloween events lol and we eat there for free

in 2019, i watched stray kids live for the first time and am mostly enjoying my time and dancing to get cool when changbin points at me and notices me dancing to the choreo. the way his smile widen alfbajfbka

also in 2019, i bought a hi-touch and photo op ticket for the boyz's concert and it's my turn for the hi-touch, i literally whipped with eric ffs (i was 16 lol). then when it comes to the photo-op, the fans in my group were too busy trying to pose with their biases that when kevin were trying to hype the crowd, most are ignoring him (kevin is one of the least biased members within indonesian deobis back then). so, i'm the only one following his hype chant and kevin literally said "i appreciate you~" (maybe that's why i have a certain connection with "underdogs" out of the members [changbin, kevin, soobin])

back in 2021, i bought a set of txt's minisode1 albums hoping to get into the raffle for an online fan call. i didn't get the fan call, but i now have a physical copy of txt's weverse magazine now on display

in 2022, i watched 3 kpop concerts in 3 months (txt in october, stray kids in november, dpr in december) and my favorite out of them is dpr cause the crowd was so good. i don't like standing in the crowded section so i was in the back and because the concert is like an art show, i can see the props they're using so well (and both live and ian are big-ass flirts)

in 2023, i watched a treasure concert and got the soundcheck ticket (first time with that) and since i'm determined to enjoy the con and only record when it comes to my fav songs, i'm having so much fun in the pit, but also nervous because i was not in the crowd aka i might get notice often and sure, i did lol ;D other than that, me, my best friend, and a few other audience members dance in a summoning circle kind of way that the members notice us lmao still my fav concert so far

Me: It would be super cool if they added Kass mainly since this wave is called guardian of remembrance and in the main game Kass has all this cryptic knowledge from his teacher that we don’t even see in this game. Plus adding him could give us some more story. And maybe since this one comes out in November they’ll add some cutscenes!

Hey Ally, what did you think of the Security Breach trailer?

(Since I've been procrastinating this ask so long, FNAF Security Breach has come out by now and I have Thoughts™ again. I figure there's no time like the present tho so! Under the cut off, I'll write some of em out.)

Thoughts on Security Breach with Ally the Mun

Holy fuck do I want to be a kid lost in this place!

Seriously though, the environment takes the cake in security breach, at least in my opinion. It shows why kids come to this place and it looks like my local arcade place. Fazbear Mall (or whatever it's called) has no right being this cool and fun looking when they have so much corporate corruption!

The colors are fantastic, muted and more neutral toned when in the back rooms, versus the bright neon on dark patterns of, say, the disco arcade place with DJ Muuuusic Maaaannn! It's such a good and fun looking environment, I wish we got to explore it more freely!

I also love the designs for the animatronics. I have since the first trailer when we saw them. I legitimately love them and their ruined counterparts. Monty and Roxy especially, those two, while not being OG's, have earned their place.

And then, of course, there's Gregory and Freddy, the main duo of the game. I have a soft spot for 'Big guy suddenly acquires son and now must protect it', so I'm biased when I say I like them. Freddy has no right to be a himbo single father dilf, but he is. And while I'm not a furry.....

Anyways, my fav ending is the one where they drive off together and Gregory powers Freddy back up with the car battery. Just... Yes. Love that one.

Iffy stuff

So. While I like the designs for the main 4 animatronics, I think we see far too much of them. In every play through I've seen, they always make a comment about how much they've been jumpscared, or how frequently death happens. And while it gets them the first few times, they just become numb to it after awhile. It stops being a horror game, and just starts being tedious.

I think that problem could be solved by taking a page out of subnautica's book. The first game has these things called Reaper Leviathans, and they're fucking terrifying. Not cause they jumpscared you, which they do, but because of how they behave. They will get close enough to give you a glimpse of them, of what you could encounter, and sometimes they'll chase you, but you always have opportunity to get away.

If the animatronics in FNAF weren't everywhere on the fucking map at once (cough cough teleporting chica cough cough security bots) it would be easier to get around, enjoy the map, find secrets, and it would make the main 4 animatronics scarier cause you don't get jumped as much. And, consider, after you get parts from an animatronics, they could patrol different areas of the map than the ones you're used to, increasing the difficulty because you have to relearn the area and adjust, making the gameplay not static.

Another think I'm kinda iffy on....

Ok look I just.... I want an ending where we befriend the robots okay?! Q^Q I want Monty to call me "little guy" then give Gregory a playful noogie. Or just... I wanna see them how Freddy sees them! I don't wanna kill em! Is that too much to ask? Q^Q let me fren them!

What I don't like

.... Okay so believe it or not, glitches won't be here. I find those kinda funny and annoying. They're not intentional and can be fixed if the game is still being worked on. What is on here is something intentionally designed to pad out the game....

The missions.

Not the missions tab, mind you, that's a good way to give the player direction when they're lost or forgot what they're doing. But the story missions themselves are inorganic and force the player into fifteen different side quests to complete the main objective. Let's take Roxy's raceway, for example.

Because you're too small to ride alone, you need a driver assist bot to lure Roxy onto the raceway and run her over. To do that you have to go through DJ Music Man's territory, do a terrifying game of find the levers while being hunted by Monty and Chica, who will NOT STOP, then get chased by the DJ himself into a security office you use only to fix the head. It's convoluted, it lessens the sense of discovery, and it's just.... Frustrating. If you cant find the levers you're going to be stuck on this part and cannot progress the story until its over.

If this part was optional as part of a side quest, then I'd forgive it cause it's not.... Blocking the rest of the game. I've seen a lot of people struggle with this part and rightly so, it's difficult and annoying and feels like a monumental task to do something so trivial. And, don't get me wrong, I love DJ Music Man's crib. But I feel like it should have been an optional part of the game, not related to the main story.

Fazbear Mall really felt like it should have been open world, but was restricted by the way they laid out plot points and side mission. There are times where it felt super unnecessary, and just padded out. It feels like a forced way to explore this amazing place they set right out in front of us!

Talking of Roxy Raceway, I SO WANTED TO PLAY THAT AS A MINIGAME/FINAL BOSS SEQUENCE! That would have been cool and just... There was so much potential there! But my expectations were set for something other than what we got I guess.

Things that scared the shit out of me

Also I know it's not canon but I low-key hc Caleb as ace-spec so that adds to it when it comes to sex-related stuff, be it sg or not. Like you said, it's not a bad thing, I just don't see it that way personally. I don't want to play into the "asexuality is caused by trauma" thing though.

nebularomantic is an orientation on the aromantic spectrum! likely it comes from the term 'nebulous', meaning cloud like, or ill-defined. it's when you have trouble differentiating between platonic and romantic feelings, due (in part or entirely) to being neurodivergent. so, it's solely a label for neurodivergent people! i headcanon molly as having a tbi, adhd, and npd, and i hc that he's a little bit in love with all his friends, but has trouble telling if it's in a platonic or romantic way, or somewhere inbetween or outside of that.

molly i think feels a lot, but has a lot of trouble working out what it is exactly he's feeling. he's the same with gender - pinpointing what it is is impossible, he just knows he's feeling a lot of it. he's more focused on just doing whatever makes him happy - if he wants to wear a dress one day he will, if he wants to sleep with someone and they want to sleep with him, he will, if he wants to give yasha 500 forehead kisses a day he will

as for caleb, yes i headcanon him as aspec as well, although i actually do think it's due to trauma for him! he gave me such strong asexual vibes in the beginning of the campaign, and i think he's slowly becoming more comfortable with it. especially with essek being demi, and caleb being somewhere on the bi ace spectrum (i feel like it probably goes up and down, depending on how he's doing mentally, i think he probably uses bisexual and asexual interchangeably), i think they're a great match for each other as they'll both be very understanding

i can totally understand feeling uncomfortable with headcanoning him as ace-due-to-trauma, esp since there's such a harmful stereotype that people are only asexual because they're broken, or because we're mentally ill or have some kind of deficit. but sexuality is fluid, and mental illness and trauma can change so much about a person, so while the stereotype is bullshit, sometimes that really can be a person's experience. i think it would make a lot of sense if caleb was aspec bc of his sexual and relationship trauma from being a volstrucker and with astrid and wulf. i've talked to aces who are ace due to trauma like that, who just lose sexual attraction because of what happened to them. they might not have been 'born' that way, but their experience is still an asexual one, yknow?

especially when there's such great aro and ace rep in cr who AREN'T that way because of trauma - like caduceus, who is so kind and loving and very content with being aroace, like essek who, while traumatised, his being demisexual seems to have nothing to with that. there are so many different aspec experiences and it's nice to see that diversity portrayed.

honestly i have a long list of queer and neurodivergent headcanons for everyone (i have thoughts on cr1 as well, but i'm still early campaign for that)
