Willow Creek is almost done (it only took me a million years 😂)! I've made good progress on the new version of my save file these last weeks, so I'm happy to say I should be able to share it in January!

Magnolia Promenade Update !
In my ongoing project to renovate all of my favorite maps before the end of 2024, I'm now tackling Magnolia Promenade. I've did a clothing store named Sims Fashion, and a vegan store named Veggiz. I did Veggiz a while back, shortly after the Cats and Dogs release but I gave up because I felt something was missing. I took the shell back and started over. I had a blast!
I tried to combine building/furnishing with gameplay by creating new NPC and household so I could still fill my maps. I haven't touched to Get to Work since... 10 years? I almost forgot everything about managing a store as it didn't really appeal to me when it released.
We didn't have a lot of things to sell back then so it was a bit boring. But now, I can see the full potential! I tried to be really light on the use of CC and I think I've found the right balance. The main objective is to fully upgrade all the stores/staff members so it could be really nice to use while playing after with a different sims as a customer. For now, they both are mid.
There's still two lots to fill across the street. I might do another version of my seafood restaurant that already exists. As for the last one, it used to be a spa (Hello, Spa Day launch lol) but I now want to do something totally different such as a residential rental.
As for Willow Creek, I can now tell that all the house shells are done! I now need to furnish fully or some rooms here and there, and populate the town with more townies. I really hope to get it done after all these years because I'm tired. After that, I think I'll focus on Strangerville and Del Sol Valley, which are both on my tops cities.

WIP - Willow Creek Tim Hortons
Where all my Canadians at? (probably at Tim's)
Tumblr media
This is a project I've been thinking about for a long time, and some people who've been following me for a while might remember my takeaway bags and functional drink cups from early in 2022. They finally have a purpose!
This is actually a Timmies with a walk-up flat above it, and it's where Davey and his mom live (because OF COURSE Davey lives above a Tim Hortons lol). I haven't finished the flat yet, but here's what the coffee shop looks like so far:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point, it has minimal CC and would be fully functional (although not a Tim Hortons) without it. Almost all the CC, except for one item) is stuff that I've made.
I'm still deciding if I want to share it when it's done. It's currently Residential, but the lot type could be reassigned to Café if you didn't want to use the upstairs flat.
Anyway, what do we think?

Why is it the thing that I actually feel accomplished about lately is that. I'm almost done with one neighborhood on my sims 4 save I'm making for myself. I've got one more family to finish for Willow Creek and then I can move onto the other worlds.

So, how did they become vampires anyway? (Part 1)
I'm going to tell you the story of how (I think) they became vampires. I want to preface this by saying that this is my opinion, and though it's informed by the Reveal Trailer for this pack and Lily Zhu's dialog boxes from the Werewolves pack, it's just my thoughts on them, and you are free to take this with a grain of salt. I am posting it under a cut, because it is not only a fairly long story, it may be upsetting to some. (Though I do believe it goes a long way towards explaining why Caleb is the way he is, why he has the vampire weaknesses he does, and why he has such a thing about not biting Sims without permission.) So, without further ado...
The story of Caleb and Lilith doesn't begin with Caleb and Lilith. No. It begins with Vlad. One night, Vlad was skulking about, and he entered the home of a woman named Marybelle Smith. Now, a little bit about Ms. Smith. She had once had bad teeth, but her parents had paid a small fortune for her to have some extensive dental/orthodontic work done, and she prided herself on her perfect smile. Every morning and every night, she would brush, floss, gargle mouthwash, and admire her teeth. She was so grateful to her parents, who had passed away some time ago. Her teeth used to cause her such anguish, and got her teased a lot in junior high. Since then, she'd done quite well for herself; she had a good job, a nice house, a bitchin' motorcycle...yes, life was good.
Until that night, that is. Marybelle was brushing her teeth, like always. She never locked her door; she lived in a nice neighborhood, and almost no one ever locked their doors. Vlad crept into the house, and listened for any sign of life. His ears were more sensitive than those of most Sims. He heard it: Marybelle brushing her teeth, and the water running in her sink. He took a minute and admired her beauty, covered only by a pink towel from her bath. Then he crept up behind her. She felt a presence that startled her, and she doesn't remember much else. She woke up on the bathroom tile around midnight, a little bit confused, and with a strange hunger (or was it thirst?) that she couldn't explain. And...was that blood? From her neck? In the coming days, her transformation was complete. No longer did she have a perfect smile like you'd see in a toothpaste ad. Her teeth were sharp and pointy now! And worst of all, she couldn't see them in her mirror. Marybelle had always had a bit of a temper, from the time she was a little girl. Enraged, she smashed her mirror and stormed out of the house, never to return to it.
Over the next few months, Marybelle changed. A lot. She learned that she was a vampire now, and she had to say, she was rather liking it. She could stay up all night and travel around as a bat. And she had hypnotic powers and greater strength than she'd ever had in her life. Yes, she thought. She could get used to this. She even had the ability to somewhat shapeshift into a "Dark Form." Hers happened to include a mohawk, dyed a blood-red color. She decided that the name "Marybelle Smith" no longer fit, and paid to have her name legally changed to Miss Hell.
Meanwhile, back in Willow Creek, a pair of twins grieved for their parents, killed in a tragic car accident one evening. The road had been slippery from snow, and the car spun out of control and slammed into another car. They had put their dreams aside, to deal with the work of getting their estate sorted out and all that stuff. So much paperwork, so many meetings with lawyers. So many hours spent sorting through their parents' possessions, deciding what to keep, what to donate, what to sell. So many meetings with their parents' pastor, and the local funeral director, to give their parents a proper send-off to The Great Beyond. So many well-meaning friends and neighbors (there were no other relatives, save for Mrs. Vatore's sister and her husband, who were in the same car and perished that same night, leaving their only daughter Lily behind) who'd brought casseroles (most of which disgusted Caleb, though he was too polite to say so), sent cards and flowers, and moved on with their lives. But finally, finally, after months of back-and-forth with lawyers and whatnot, Dr. and Mrs. Vatore's estate was sorted out. Everything belonged to Caleb and Lilith now. And though they still missed their parents, they were getting used to life without them. They got themselves jobs: Caleb in the mailroom at Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe, and Lilith at a local coffee shop, and they were considering the possibility of going back to school. Life was good, or at least well on its way there.
And so they decided that they were going to go out and party a little bit. They had themselves a good time. Lilith went home with some guy (whose name she no longer remembers), and they had themselves some intense woohoo. Caleb stayed behind, enjoying cocktails and conversation. (Two of his favorite things!) Mar-...uh, Miss Hell came to the same bar, and she spotted Caleb. She was immediately taken with him, as many women (and men) were. She tried to get his attention, but his mind was elsewhere, lost in the music, the alcohol, the conversations with random people about everything from llamas to underpants. This angered Miss Hell; why wasn't he noticing her?! Was he deliberately ignoring her? Her?! As the night wore on, she found herself getting more and more fixated on him, feeling a strange combination of lust and loathing, attraction and anger. She wanted his blood, she wanted to woohoo him, and she wanted to watch him squirm. All at once.
Eventually, Caleb decided to call it a night. It had been an enjoyable evening; he'd gotten a few numbers to use later. (Caleb was no stranger to woohoo, but he preferred to get to know his partners first.) Before leaving, he decided to use the bathroom. (All those cocktails had caught up with him!) Unbeknownst to Caleb, Miss Hell transformed into a bat and followed him in. Nobody else noticed this; they were all too wrapped up in themselves to notice this, though it wasn't something one saw every day.
As he relieved himself, he couldn't help but feel like he was being watched. Not by a Watcher; putting aside the question of whether or not such an entity existed (he'd never been certain, though he was raised in a very religious household, where the pastor visited regularly, grace was said before meals, and Henry Puffer and several other books and movies were forbidden), or the question of why such an entity (should He/She/They/It exist) would want to watch him urinate (and truth be told, though he was no prude, he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer to that question), this didn't feel like a Being off in the wild blue yonder somewhere. No, this felt like a presence much, much closer. But, there was no one else in that one-person bathroom but himself. He'd locked the door behind him, right? He figured it was late, he was getting tired, and he'd had a few drinks, and his mind was playing tricks on him. He never noticed the bat hovering in the shadows, waiting for just the right moment. Nor did he notice when the bat transformed into a punk-rocker woman. The only sounds he could hear were the music from outside, and his own stream splashing into the toilet.
No sooner had he finished up and tucked himself back into his pants, he felt himself grabbed from behind. A cold, pale hand, with long black acrylic nails filed to sharp points (one with a silvery spider glued to it) covered his mouth, while a matching hand snaked down his abdomen and reached into his pants. "Don't feel like you have to put that away just because of me," said a female voice, right in his ear. "Since it's just you and me in here, let's have some fun!"
Meanwhile, back at home, Lilith stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself. Her hookup had left, and she was getting ready for bed. As she dried off and changed into her PJs, she started to worry. Caleb hadn't come home. It wasn't like him to stay out all night, and it wasn't like him to not at least text her. She decided to try his phone; he didn't answer.
After she'd taken all she wanted, Miss Hell put her clothes on, and redressed Caleb as well, so no one would suspect anything. Caleb was too shocked and traumatized to move, though he wanted nothing more in that moment than to get away. Then Miss Hell decided that she wanted to see him again. She decided she was going to turn him into a vampire like herself. She picked him up, hypnotized him, and plunged her fangs into his neck (again), before biting her own wrist and forcing her own blood into his mouth. Blood which tasted like...nothing else. Certainly not like normal blood. She let him fall to the ground and said, "See you around, Sexy." Then she smoothed out her clothes, and walked out of that bathroom like she hadn't just done the worst thing a Sim could possibly do to another Sim. Tears fell from Caleb's eyes, and then his world went dark. Between hitting his head on the tile, the shock, the trauma, the blood loss, the alcohol he'd consumed earlier, etc., he passed out. The only signs of life came from his phone: calls and texts from Lilith, who was getting more and more worried by the minute. No one had noticed anything amiss, or come to his aid; all the noises associated with what just transpired, including his pleas for help, were drowned out by loud music from outside.
Hours later, he found himself being kicked awake by an irate, heavy-set man. "Come on, Kid, move!" he said. The music had stopped, the bar had closed for the night, and most everyone had gone home. The grumpy bartender had come in to clean up, found Caleb passed out on the floor, and assumed he was just another drunk or junkie that had partied a little too hard and passed out (after some rough woohoo, by the look of it). At first, Caleb had no idea where he was, or how he'd gotten there.
Then it all came flooding back: her cold hands, her chilling laughter, his body responding to her touch in ways he wished it didn't, her sharp nails, her strong grip, his unanswered pleas for her to stop, the hard slap across his face that his protests earned him, her piercing green eyes that seemed to glow, struggling against her and trying to no avail to get away (which only seemed to encourage her), her weight on top of him, being unable to fight her off, her cold wetness (why in the Watcher's name was she so cold?!), her sharp fangs piercing his neck (wait...fangs?), some kind of fuzziness in his head he couldn't explain, the acrid smell of blood and sex, the sounds of the twisted pleasure she got from using his body, pleasurable feelings he wished he didn't experience, her forceful and thoroughly unwanted kisses, his favorite outfit being ripped and damaged, the strange, sickly-sweet tastes of the juices and blood she forced him to drink in, all of it. "She's not here anymore, is she?!" he panicked. Then he felt dizzy and passed out again. The bartender caught him, "Listen, Kid, I don't-" Then he paused. This young man had two strange-looking wounds on his neck, like two deep puncture wounds. They almost looked like someone had bitten him...but that was crazy, right? They were fairly fresh, too, and blood still trickled from them. He'd never seen anything like this before. The unconscious young man in his arms was pale and felt cool to the touch; something wasn't right here. "Hey, Kid, stay with me," he said. "You need some help." He took out his own phone and called an ambulance.
Lilith awoke to the sound of her phone vibrating on the coffee table. She was in the living room, waiting up for her brother, but fell asleep. She looked at her phone. The caller ID said, "Willow Creek Hospital." Lilith blanched. Oh, Watcher, something terrible must have happened to Caleb! Was this another call like the one she received months ago about her parents? She wasn't sure she could handle that. Hesitantly, she answered the phone. Seconds later, Lilith ran upstairs, grabbed some clean clothes to bring Caleb, plus her own jacket, and raced to the hospital. She found her brother in the ER, looking battered and bruised, like he'd been through Hell and back. His head and neck had been bandaged, and he was hooked up to an IV. The clothes that he'd been wearing when he arrived had been carefully packed away as part of a forensic exam (which was almost worse than what that punk lady had done to him), in case he wished to file a police report, and he was wearing a blue-green hospital gown. "Oh, Watcher...Caleb, what happened to you?!" cried Lilith. He struggled to tell her what happened.
When he was discharged, Lilith brought him home. Caleb took a long shower, and made Lilith stand outside the door. When he was done, he changed into PJs (and Lilith changed his bandages), and he curled up under the blankets and cried himself to sleep. He woke up, haunted by those glowing green eyes and those cold hands and sharp teeth. Caleb remained in his room, curled up under blankets. He couldn't keep anything down, not even just plain water. Lilith tried to get him to get some fresh air and sun, and he reluctantly agreed to it, if only to make her happy. But no sooner did he set foot outside, his skin started to burn. As in, sizzle like bacon. He yelled out in pain and ran back inside. Lilith wasn't sure what to do. She couldn't bear to see him suffer. She called their cousin Lily for advice. Lily came over right away. She went upstairs to comfort her cousin, and even got him to eat a little bit (though he still couldn't keep it down). Soon enough, he looked in the mirror, but no one stared back at him.

Goth (2) Family Rotation 4:
That night, Cassandra approached Travis on the porch again by his sleeping bag.
"Travis, I just need to know... Where did things go wrong? I thought things were great between us."
He responded, "I wish I knew what went wrong! I don't want to be apart from you..."
That comment was the breaking point.
"You don't know what went wrong? Did you 'not know' when you were fucking someone else? All of this happening right now is YOUR fault!"
Travis broke his sorry persona. "Well maybe if I married someone actually hot, I wouldn't cheat!" With that comment, things were officially done.
"That's all I needed to hear, Travis. We're officially done, for real. To think I almost gave you a chance with me again."
Travis gave one last attempt, "Please! I didn't mean it! I'm sorry!" It didn't work, and he was furious.

What I read in November
This month felt simultaneously like it went on forever, and like it slipped by. I was very busy. I hardly got any reading done compared to my usual. But I did have a lot of fun.
The Jewel of Seven Stars, Bram Stoker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Terror, Dan Simmons ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hannibal: The Military Genius who Almost Conquered Rome, Eve MacDonald ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ nf
Luna, Ian McDonald ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hoka! Hoka! Hoka!, Poul Anderson & Gordon R Dickson ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dracula, Bram Stoker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cicero: The Life & Times of Rome's Greatest Politician, Anthony Everitt ⭐️⭐️⭐️nf
The Worst Journey in the World, Apsley Cherry-Garrard ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️nf
METAtropolis: Cascadia Anthology ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Haunting of Willow Creek, Sara Crocoll Smith ⭐️
Journey to the Center of the Earth, Jules Verne ⭐️⭐️
METAtropolis: Green Space Anthology ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I started off the month with a Bram Stoker novel that I'd never read before, The Jewel of the Seven Stars, and as I always am, when I read Stoker's work, I was surprised by how bold and action-forward the story was, while still having a bunch of atmosphere, and, of course, time for a sensitive, sweet solicitor to fall head over heels in love. I don't know why I'm always surprised by how good Stoker's writing is, he's popular for good reason!
I also reread Dracula for the who-knows-how-many-th time, and was struck by how current all of the action feels, even though it's using the epistolary form, which I often feel can lack in oomph since, necessarily, the action has already concluded in such a way that leaves the characters able to sit down and compose a letter or journal entry about it all. Dracula really feels like any of the characters might be in peril, and the switching between POVs really highlights how anyone could be lost at any moment, and the story would carry on from other pens. The scene where Mina falls asleep over her diary, and then it jumps to Seward describing what they saw happen to her gave me the shivers! And the logs of the voyage of the Demeter were a real spook-fest.
The Terror is one that I've been wanting to get around to for a while, and I was happy to devour it. This must be the second or third Dan Simmons book that I've read, and each one has been very different, but all of them are so striking and so well-written. At this point, I'm probably just going to try and read everything he's ever written. The atmosphere, the creeping dread, the deft and visceral horror. It's all so well done it's fantastic.
Stars awarded at my whim.

Hi everyone!
It's day three of the Ice Cream Legacy challenge, and boy, do I have some crazy things to say!
Firstly, I completed level 3 of the Serial Romantic aspiration and am almost done with the 4th!
Also, I forgot to show you guys what Vanille looks like as an infant, so here she is taking a nap on her pregnant momma:
Tumblr media
She's going to age up into a toddler very soon; it'll more than likely be in the next post, same day as I change Raz's appearance again.
After completing the 3rd level of her aspiration, Raz had Johnny Zest's baby and named her Alma (A play on for the next generation's theme: Vanilla and Almond)
As soon as Raz got home from having Alma, she had 15 minutes to get ready for work, and when she did go, she got promoted to Culture Columnist!
I can just imagine the bizarre conversation between her and her boss when she got there:
Boss: I heard about the new addition to the family, congrats, Raz!
Raz: Thank you! Alma is such a beautiful girl, and I can't wait for Vanille to meet her when she comes home from daycare!
Boss: Well you could have taken maternity leave to see that happen sooner, I know you just gave birth recently.
Raz: Oh yeah, I literally had 15 minutes after I got home from the hospital before I had to be to work.
Boss: Wait, you gave birth this morning? Before work?
Raz: Yeah, but it's all good, I'm ready to do my best!
After these crazy and stressful moments, I took a break and made over the last family in Willow Creek: the Spencer-Kim-Lewis household
Tumblr media
This marks the first of Raz's many (harder) goals as completed!
Gen 1 Rules:
Complete the "Serial Romantic" aspiration.
Complete the "Style Influencer" career.
All your kids must be from different relationships (complete).
Give all people in your town a makeover (complete).
Get caught cheating at least once.
Leave someone at the altar at least once.
Change your hairstyle once a week (complete).

In Which Flat Broke Makes Many Discoveries
And I Have to Type This Out for the Second Time
Tumblr media
Today I played through Prankster Day and Love Day, but I'll focus on Love Day, since nothing really of note happened on Prankster Day (aside from Buck casually electrocuting a random Sim who showed up at the door).
Tumblr media
There were two big objectives for Love Day: securing the relationships of Flo and Flat, and Laurie and Summer. I know in my last post I (very briefly) wondering about pairing them together, but today I just jumped on the possibility. Rich keeps getting the moodlet of "feeling confined" by the relationship (he and Laurie aren't even engaged, he is completely overreacting), and Summer and Laurie get along well, so I just decided to try it.
Flat and Flo's date was the first one, the more secure and established of the relationship, so that was easy enough. I had them hold the date at Flo's house (Johnny Zest's old house, btw. He died some time ago) for two reasons: 1) I am incredibly tired, every time, of random Sims wedging themselves into conversations between my Sims while they are flirting, and then the random Sim gets all weird and awkward and then the whole conversation is made awkward. It wouldn't be awkward if you have just!! NOT!! DONE THAT!!! (Please tell me people don't randomly do that in real life I do not have the skeletal integrity for such information, I will simply collapse), and 2) I very recently discovered that I could just hold a date at the other Sim's house instead of going to a public space.
They had a nice date, it got the golden reward, and it was nice. Flat even managed to get the whim to ask another Sim to go steady, so I was able to have them be together of their own decision, rather than me just playing Barbies with them. I personally am pretty excited for them, and I hope that their relationship goes well. They honestly don't really have the time for their relationship go to badly, they're actually behind schedule, all things considered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually like the third picture, right before they go into that weird pose of taking a selfie but their faces look weird and their necks are far too long and bendy, it makes them look kinda nervous. I like that because, y'know, they're teenagers, and this is the first time either have had a significant other, much less making it official to Flat's 70 followers (how does he manage to get 12 followers every post, that's insane).
Last thing about their date before I move onto Laurie and Summer's date, I,, (sigh), I,, hm. They "messed around". Nothing will come out of it, it's not like Flo would get gregnant or anything. If there is to be any teen pregurnt in this family, it'll be with Buck and Mary Lu, later down the line. I'm not even sure why I'm mentioning it, it's honestly really weird to point it out, but I guess it's my effort to kinda,,, push them, I guess, into the young adulthood that they'll be facing soon (like end of spring soon, they have less than two weeks of being a teenager left), and apparently this is something that people do. I wouldn't know, I don't think about stuff like that.
Anyway.
Before I brought Laurie to Summer and Liberty's house, I gave it a makeover. Just a little one, I didn't even change the flooring or wallpaper anywhere, but one to acknowledge and accommodate the fact that 1) there is a child living here, and 2) there is a dog living here. The bonus good news is that I made the house like, way brighter than it was before, so now I can actually see the house, holy crap.
I had Laurie bring Summer to the park in Willow Creek, where I don't think Laurie has ever been. She's truly an Oasis Springs native, that's for sure. They had a decent date, but to be honest I was almost unsure if anything was going to happen. (If nothing ended up happening, I would've just done the "Ask to be just friends" thing, which doesn't clear everything, but it works enough) But then Laurie confessed her feelings to Summer, and everything else fell into place. If I'm being honest, part of me was kinda nervous to have Laurie do that, since I've heard that interaction usually goes sour, but this time it worked great! So cool.
Without further adieu, here are the pictures from Laurie and Summer's date! (when ever i try to type "date" i type "fate" which honestly is only slightly ominous)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also ended with a golden reward date, and when I took Summer home (to make sure she didn't get like, lost, or whatever. Idk), this happened autonomously
Tumblr media
You can't see it, but Liberty had a little thought bubble of lips, so either she was watching a rom-com, or she was stuck listening to her roommate and some lady that only talked her to earlier that morning making out behind her. Oh, and that girl is Shawna, the daughter of Summer and Malcolm Landgraab. (Spoilers, she ends up looking like Malcolm)
So yeah, I would say that Love Day was fairly successful. I'm now wondering how long it will take for Summer to show up at the Broke's door, then flirt with Laurie in front of Rich, or vice versa. Something could definitely happen, I wonder who Laurie will choose, when it comes down to it? (I haven't figured it out yet lmao)

I was going to have a productive day of tidying, packing, and job applications. It should be a surprise to no one that instead I made A Lot of progress with my sims family.
Deeply in the throws of a generation handover. My current/previous heir (Callie) just maxed her career and is maybe a couple days away from finishing her fourth? aspiration. She's done bodybuilder, superparent, renaissance sim and is about to complete the fabulously wealthy aspiration. She also managed becoming a distinguished Foxbury alumn on short life span with only one Potion of Youth ever entering the mix. Clearly she is an over achiever. She's also a geek, a maker, and a dance machine.
Callie worked her entire way through college making a name for herself as a successful botanist before leaving to become an accomplished surgeon. She maintained several hobbies and genuinely took time to savor the import stuff. She's been a rock to her siblings during times of hardship. She's also got tons friends who adore her and she has great relationships with both her kids and all of her nieces and her nephew. She's had a wonderful and satisfying life.
I will be inconsolable when she passes. Even when things go exactly to plan, legacies break my heart a little with every generation switch. The turnover has also been a little non traditional the last couple generations. I'm fumbling to switch from an eldest becomes the heir to a youngest becomes the heir system.
Callie took over from her brother (Troy) and is passing the torch onto her niece (Tara), the child of a different sibling (Kari). She and two of her sisters raised most of the current generation under one roof. Her brother's kids were of a similar age to Callie but raised outside of the family home and actually started having kids before she or her sisters did. Troy's descendants are presently a few generations ahead of the main family just because of how short lifespan shakes out.
I originally was going to have Callie's older sisters move out of the family home once they settled down but their partners kept dying accidental deaths whenever they got close. Poor Kari lost two different love interests to temperature deaths. Her high school girlfriend froze to death and the fiance she had as a young adult died of heat exhaustion. I think Breanna (the eldest sister) had her spouse for the longest but Saya sadly died in a handiness accident shortly after the birth of their youngest child.
Complicated and occasionally tragic family history aside, Tara is now my main focus and I'm so excited to see her life story develop.
Tara's got a different vibe than I've messed with in a while. She a bit dastardly but definitely in a playful way. She's very charming and honestly I'm having trouble keeping the relationships of hers that I want in the red to stay that way. She's also a snob which is super fun for me. Her great-grandparents were both snobs and I loved seeing them be extra confident all the time just from hanging out with each other. I might try to find her a close circle of other snobs just to have her feeling pumped about herself on the regular.
Tara wants to be a super villain. I do think she's mostly in it for the aesthetic because she's kind of a sweetheart even when I'm trying to make her enemies but the signs were there from early life. Her childhood trait was klepto and she aged up into a teen with the perfectionist trait and the public enemy aspiration. She wants to be powerful but she doesn't want people to think her influence just comes from being a member of an extremely privileged family where everything was handed to her. It absolutely was but it's more fun to feel like she's taking risks with her life.
Her cousins and sibling are all going into variations of a family business. With the amount of connections her family has across Willow Creek and San Myshuno there's almost no path that wouldn't be easy to walk. But no one in her family has ever been a criminal before. Famous artists and actors sure, famous chefs, politicians, doctors and lawyers, even a few different astronauts but here is this one seedy option that presents a new challenge and that's pretty exciting.
I'm especially excited to try to balance her dastardly aims with the strong familial bonds she's formed throughout her early life. She has a twin sister that she adores who's an absolute angel of a sim. I'm very interested to see how her worsening reputation effects their dynamic.

Any confession headcanons for Tobirama? 🤧
A/n: Hello! I apologize for the long wait, I've been busy with work and studies but now I'm back to get some of these done. Hope you like them!
Warnings: none,
Confessions Headcanons
Tumblr media
Tobirama would have a harder time acknowledging his feelings and coming to terms with them, even if you were someone he was very close with and if you were someone he had loads of trust in
That being said, his confession may take a very long time.
To his brother, his subtle changes in behavior around you, and the way he addresses you are a dead give away that you make his little brother feel a certain way
He just knows, with the almost bashed manner in which Tobirama sides with you that those feelings are positive.
Hashirama would feel obligated to give Tobirama and you a nudge, a push really, but the second Tobirama caught wind of that idea, he shut it down. This was his private affairs, he would deal with them himself.
Gradually, the time that takes Tobirama to accept his feelings turn into a period of mutual, at times oblivious, pining.
Then, he'd finally start planing on how to confess
It wouldn't be anything grandiose or that fancy, he just isn't a guy for it but he'd still like for it to have some meaning to add to the weigh of his words
It has been eating his inside out for the past few months, if not even years - he can't just blurt it all out no matter how he may come off as
So, he takes the chance to confess at your usual spot on a free weekend he has. A beautiful creek with a lush, giant of a tree watching over it. That was the place the two of you usually went to wind down together, to meditate or simply bask in each other's presence.
Tobirama remembers this spot all too well from his youth. Many memories surrounded that particular tree, with its branches hanging so low one might mistake the tree for an oversized willow. The tree had seen much tragedies over the years, including the ones from his youth but nonetheless the tree seemed to draw him in all the time. It brought him peace.
It drew him to meet you.
When he goes to confess, it's the first time he stumbles over his words, the first time warmer hues dust his cheeks, the first time Tobirama feels the anxious feeling of butterflies in his stomach - even if he tells himself he's perfectly calm, he is not.
You can feel he's nervous and trying to hide it
But he doesn't let you interrupt him, please don't, just let him get the words out
Finally, as he draws his conclusion, confession, to an end, he notices how your eyes twinkle with mirth and how your fingers flinch with withdrawn energy. Your chakra felt almost overwhelmingly excited and happy
He's almost confused, awe struck, shell-shocked - you name it
And when you take his hand in yours, he can finally feel the butterflies in his stomach explode into nothing and be replaced by a feeling of pure serenity. His peace of mind finally returned to him, and silently he vowed to make both of your lives better, as best his ability can allow.

Journal Entry #57 (part two)
Tumblr media
Journal Entry #57 (part one) // STORY INDEX
Victor
Just in case anyone was getting the impression that mine and Yuri’s time apart has been completely consumed by thoughts of each other and of Yuri's therapy, let me fill you in on what else I've been doing since I've been back in Willow Creek.
To be fair, Yuri is on my mind a lot, and for the first few days I was here, I felt a little bit guilty whenever I was having fun with my friends or doing something new without him, but I'm feeling better about it now. I talked to Yuri and he said he felt the same way at first, but then he realized what a perfect opportunity he had to spend time bonding with his family.
Despite his initial misgivings about staying with his parents, he seems to be having a good time now, and he's obviously happy. I figured if it was okay for him to feel happy without me, it was also okay for me to feel happy without him. I missed him desperately though. No point in trying to hide that.
Anyway, once I got my head around my "temporary bachelor status", as my cousin Leo put it, I started to relax and really enjoy myself.
Speaking of bachelors, Uncle Stephen, Leo and I have been planning the most epic bachelor party of all time for Julian. We decided on an Italian theme because he and Mom are going to Tartosa for their honeymoon. There's going to be Italian food and music, and everyone's going to be encouraged to wear Italian beach club fashion. Uncle Stephen managed to reserve an event room at the Harbourside Haven with a view overlooking the water. It may be Newcrest, but we're gonna pretend it's a Tartosan beach scene.
At first, I thought it was kind of weird to have a theme, but Uncle Stephen said a lot of people have bachelor parties with themes. I deferred to him because what do I know? Nobody threw a bachelor party for Yuri and me, and this was my first time planning one for somebody else. Uncle Stephen has been involved in organizing at least three — his best friend Matthew's, Uncle JP’s, and my dad's — so that makes him an expert, as far as I'm concerned.
"By the time you get around to planning Leo's bachelor party, you'll be an expert too," he assured me.
Leo wants a superhero theme when his turn comes. Probably no surprise there.
Leo, Ellie and I have been spending as much time together as we can, which probably isn't going to be much of a surprise to anyone either. We've been getting up to our usual nonsense; playing soccer and racing bikes in the park, going to the pool and the arcade, and generally just hanging out, but we've been getting some productive stuff done as well.
I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but Julian moved in with Mom around the beginning of January, like maybe a week or two before my accident. He was originally planning to sell his house, but what ended up happening was that he transferred the title to Ellie instead. What that means is, Ellie gets to live in her childhood home and doesn't have to worry about paying a mortgage since Julian managed to fully pay it off a couple of years ago. At the end of April, Leo moved in there with her, and now they're wholly involved with renovating the place to make it exactly how they want.
They're actually not changing it significantly, but even cosmetic changes require a fair amount of work. They had to hire somebody to install their new kitchen cabinets and appliances, but Leo decided they could do the hardwood flooring in the living room themselves, as well as the painting and redecorating.
And that's where I came in. I might not be very good with electronics, but I definitely know my way around carpentry tools. My mom taught me a lot about home maintenance, so I can measure, saw and hammer with the best of them.
Almost as soon as I arrived, Leo enlisted both me and his sister Kiki to help with the flooring. Ellie and Kiki gleefully ripped out all the old carpet, and then they sanded and cleaned the subfloor. After that, Leo and I got down to business. We got the entire living room done over three days, and it looks fabulous, even if I say so myself.
We're all getting pretty good at painting too. Leo, Ellie, Kiki and I painted Ellie and Leo’s living room, kitchen and bedroom, and then I got them to come over to our new house and help me paint mine and Yuri's rooms, our living room and downstairs bathroom.
Robert and Kim did a bunch of renovations before they put the house on the market, so there’s really nothing much that needed to be changed except the colours of a few walls. The only thing I really want to do besides the painting is to install a jet tub in the upstairs bathroom. Yuri got used to having that at Uncle Kaz's place, and I think he should have one here. It’s very therapeutic for him.
You knew I'd inevitably come back to talking about Yuri, didn't you? Some of you are probably laughing over my inability to keep my mind off him. Go ahead. I don't mind. I'm hopelessly in love with him, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
As a matter of fact, Yuri is the whole reason why I was motivated to record this entry tonight, after kinda forgetting about our journal for almost three months. Now that I’ve gotten all the life updates out of the way, I can get to the really good part. It's the part I maybe should’ve led with, but I guess you’ve all figured out by now that I sometimes like to leave the best stuff till the end.
So, here’s the story. It actually started yesterday evening, when Yuri missed our regular seven o'clock FaceTime chat. By seven-fifteen, I decided I'd better call him. He didn't answer, but I wasn’t overly concerned right away because I thought there might just be something wrong with his iPad, so I texted him instead. I started getting scared when I received no reply to that either, and when I phoned him, I got a robotic-sounding error message that said the customer I was trying to reach had the phone turned off.
At that point, I systematically called everyone I could think of who might know what was going on, but Takahiro, Fox and Sakura had no clue, and the most that Mr. Okamoto's personal assistant Koichi could tell me was that Mr. Okamoto was away on important business for the next several days, which didn’t really help. When I tried to call Yuri's parents, I got the same error message I'd gotten when I attempted to call him.
I tossed and turned in bed all night, and every time I woke up, I sent another text to my husband. By seven o'clock this morning, when I still couldn't reach him, I started scrolling frantically through my phone to see if I had his grandparents' numbers. Somebody had to know something.
I didn't have a number for his grandmother or grandfather, but I did have contact information for his boss, Mr. Tanaka. It was a long shot, but I called him, which may not have been the wisest thing to do. Mr. Tanaka didn't have any idea where Yuri was or what might be happening, and I think I might've caused him to worry with my asking him about it.
Around ten o'clock, I was seriously considering getting online and trying to arrange an earlier flight back to Japan. I'm not even joking.
That was when my phone buzzed in my pocket.
I pulled it out and glanced at the screen. It was a message from Yuri.
You ever hear that phrase 'weak with relief'? I literally was, and I sank down the kitchen floor, nearly crying, with my phone still clutched in my hand.
As if he'd been reading my mind, the message said, «I love you and I'm okay.»
«Where are you?» I texted back with trembling fingers.
He sent, «I’m outside. Are you at home?»
Perplexed and still shaking, I replied, «Yeah. Why?»
«Look out the front window.»
Feeling thoroughly confused, I got to my feet, put my phone back in my pocket and made my way from the kitchen to the dining room so I could peer outside. Parked at the curb was a vehicle I didn't recognize. I took off my glasses so things further away would come into sharper focus, and I think i may have let out a small gasp when I realized who was behind the wheel of the unknown blue minivan.
It was Kenji Okamoto.
I was still forcing my mind to process that when the van's side door slid open and first Yuki and then Yuri climbed out. Mr. Okamoto got out of the driver's side to open the front passenger door for his wife, who was holding baby Kinai.
To say I was shocked would be putting it lightly. During all our daily conversations, Yuri hadn't mentioned anything about him and his family travelling. I could only assume they were here for the wedding, which is coming up in four days, but if they were here for the wedding, that would mean Mom and Julian both knew they were coming as well, and yet nobody had breathed a word about any of it to me.
I should've been upset about that, but I was way too excited over being unexpectedly reunited with Yuri to worry about having been kept in the dark. I mean, real talk here, the sound I made when I saw my husband was a lot louder than a gasp. A second later, I was flinging open the front door and flying down the steps, and he was hurrying to close the distance between us too, arms outstretched for an embrace.
I caught him and spun us both around in a circle right there on the walkway. "Yuri! I missed you!"
"Me too," he said, clinging tight as we completed our big, joyful circle. "I couldn't wait to get here. The last couple of hours, I was getting so impatient I could barely cope with it any more."
"This is why I couldn't reach you, isn't it? You were in a plane."
He was laughing. "Ah... surprise?"
"I was freaking out!" I exclaimed. "Like, I was literally just about to change my flight and everything! You should've known I'd panic when I couldn't reach you. Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
"I'm sorry," he said, as I carefully set him down. "Don't be angry. It was so hard to keep the secret, and I almost let it slip out, but we really wanted to surprise you."
"I'm not angry," I said. "I'm relieved you're okay, and I'm thrilled you're here, but..."
"But what?"
"I thought you couldn't travel," I said. "What about your therapy?"
"We'll only be here for a week," Yuri said. "I'll miss my psychologist appointment this week, and one in-person session with my nutritionist, and a food intelligence class.”
“Can you afford to miss that stuff?”
“I think so,” he said. “The nutritionist scheduled a fifteen-minute video call so I can check in and show her my food diary and talk about any concerns, but she said I’m doing so well that she thinks I’ll be all right even if I miss a full session.”
"So, uh... I guess you're here for Mom and Julian's wedding?"
"Of course," Yuri said. "I promised them I'd play, didn't I? And I've brought my accompanist with me."
Mr. Okamoto laughed at that. "The things I let myself get talked into," he said. "Grace called Yuri about a week ago to ask if he was able to come, or if they should make different arrangements for their wedding music. When he told her he could, she asked if we'd all like to come, and then Julian got on the phone with her and said that if I was coming, I ought to help with the music as well."
"Nothing like being drafted into a project last-minute," I said, amazed that Julian had felt comfortable enough with Mr. Okamoto to even make a request like that. They'd become fast friends when Mom and Julian were in Mt. Komorebi just after my accident, but I didn't think they'd gotten that well-acquainted. I mean, practising a whole set of wedding music with only a couple weeks' advance notice was a huge ask. I'm not sure I'd even ask my best friend in the world to do something like that.
"I don't mind," said Mr. Okamoto, much to my astonishment.
"You don't?"
"Yuri and I hadn't played together in a very long time, and we've been rediscovering how much we like our violin and piano duets. The music isn't that difficult, and we're already familiar with each other's playing style, so I think it'll work out quite well."
"That's...impressive," I said.
"It's an honour for us to play for your parents' wedding."
"I'm grateful to you for agreeing to it," I said, and I totally meant it. One of Yuri's favourite memories that he always talks about is of playing duets with his dad, and I'm glad they've started doing that again. I'm also super happy that Mom and Julian didn't end up having to hire random music students from the local college or something.
I pulled Yuri in for another hug. "And you too, sweet boy. I'm super happy that you... hang on."
"What?" Yuri said.
It'd taken a moment for my brain to register the observation, but it seemed that Yuri felt more solid in my arms than I remembered. "Excuse the change of subject, but have you gained weight?"
I know... not a very smooth question, right? In any other context, it would probably seem rude, but for us it had the complete opposite meaning.
Yuri drew back a little so he could look up at me. His face practically radiated happiness, and his beautiful smile accentuated the new fullness in his cheeks. "You noticed."
I slid my hands down his sides. "I can barely feel your ribs."
"I gained four kilos since you last saw me in person," he told me.
"In three weeks? Really? That's like, more than a whole kilogram per week." I glanced over his shoulder at his parents. "What have you been feeding him?"
From beside her father, Yuki piped up, "Milkshakes!"
"Not just milkshakes." Mr. Okamoto interjected hastily. He seemed to feel the need to be accountable to me, to prove they hadn't been so reckless as to let Yuri subsist on such a limited and arguably unhealthy diet. "He's been trying all sorts of new foods, haven't you, Yuri? But he does enjoy his strawberry milkshakes."
Of course I knew he'd been consuming more than milkshakes, but I acknowledged Mr. Okamoto's explanation with, "I'm glad you've been getting him to try new stuff." And then to Yuri, "Have you tried any other dairy products?"
"Real butter," he said. "And cream of broccoli soup. I didn't like that."
"Because of the broccoli, I guess. What about cheese?"
He made the most adorable face, scrunching up his cute button nose in distaste. "No. Cheese is disgusting."
"Unless it's in strawberry cheesecake," his father commented, looking entertained. "You should've seen him devouring that."
I raised an eyebrow. "Yuri, you ate cheesecake?"
"Mm-hmm, and cinnamon buns and dango. Oh, and ice cream!" Yuri said. "I can't believe I've been missing out on real ice cream this whole time."
“He’s been making up for it,” said Mr. Okamoto. "I've never seen anyone eat so many desserts."
"Well, I guess that explains the four kilos," I said.
Yuri offered up a grin that somehow managed to be simultaneously angelic and cheeky, "Aren't you proud of me, Victor?"
"Very," I said. "Four whole kilograms. That's awesome. You don't want to shoot past your goal, though. I hope you've been eating low-fibre vegetables and healthy proteins along with all your desserts."
"I don't like vegetables," he said.
"You like carrots and squash. I'll make you some carrot soup. That'll be the next thing for you to try, okay?"
"Okay." He leaned into me and nuzzled his cheek against my chest. "I'll eat it on one condition. You need to take me on a date to that ice cream place you're always talking about, with the forty flavours."
I laughed out loud and gave him an affectionate squeeze. I was beyond happy he'd discovered something new that he wanted to eat. "If you're not too tired from the trip, we can go this evening after dinner," I told him. "On one condition."
"Oh? What condition?"
"I know how much you love anything with strawberries, but The Frozen Cone has forty flavours. I really want you to try something other than strawberry."
"Peach?" he ventured.
"Good choice. They probably have that. They usually have orange-pineapple too, and cherry."
Yuri hummed softly, a little sound of satisfaction. "Let's try peach and cherry. I don't want to taste pineapple until we go to Sulani, okay? I want to save that experience for a really special occasion."
"Okay," I agreed.
"If we get a scoop of each kind in a bowl, we can share. Would that be all right?"
"That sounds perfect," I said.
"And you can feed me," he whispered, but evidently not quietly enough to prevent his father from overhearing.
Mr. Okamoto sounded torn between scolding and amusement. "Yuri—"
"One spoonful, because you're cute," I said. "But you'll be on your own for the rest of it. Rules are rules, you know."
"I tried," he said.
"Full marks for effort." I laughed, and kissed the top of his head. "Come on. Let's go inside. I can show you the paint job Leo and I did in your bedroom, and we can give your family the grand tour."
"Our family," he said.
"Our family," I repeated. I nodded to my in-laws. "Come on in."
Mr. and Mrs. Okamoto both thanked me and bowed respectfully, but I think Yuki forgot her manners in her excitement. She bounded forward and grabbed one of my hands. "Yuri said there's a ghost! Can I meet her?"
I smiled. "Well, that'll be up to Sachiko. I think if you call her Kobayashi-san and remember not to use her favourite mug, she'll come out and meet you. Don't be too surprised if she starts making small objects fly around the room, though."
Mrs. Okamoto frowned. "Are you saying the house really is haunted?"
"That's why the asking price was so low," I told her. "Don't worry, though. Sachiko isn't a bad ghost. She's just been here longer than we have, and she thinks it's her place, so her rules should apply."
"I... see," said my mother-in-law.
"What's this about the mug?" asked Mr. Okamoto.
"It's a red one," I said. "It's Sachiko's, and she's very possessive of it. No pun intended."
"Well," said my father-in-law. "A ghost with a mug, a wedding, and my son wanting to go to a forty-flavour ice cream shop. This should be an interesting week."
I couldn't resist a grin. "Family," I said. "Welcome to Willow Creek."

The following day, Amari walked through the school hallway with Aiden by her side, the two kids talking as they made their way to history. The one class every student hated, not the subject, but the teacher.
"Can't we just skip," Aiden asked, groaning when Amari shook her head amusement clear on her face. "It's not like he'll miss us."
She told him no before dragging him into the classroom. Ignoring his exaggerated groans of annoyance, she took a seat in between Elena and Bonnie.
"The battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in shit battle?" Mr. Tanner questioned, glancing around the room for a student to pick on, "Miss Bennett?"
Bonnie jumped in her seat, snapping her head up, and looking away from her notebook. Looking around the room, she tilted her head to the side in confusion, before a smirk made way on her face as she responded, "A lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot."
Amari exchanged a look of amusement with Elena, chuckling with a few other students in the room at Bonnie's sarcastic answer. Mr. Tanner leaned against his desk with a smirk on his face before he snarked, "Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Miss Bennett."
Bonnie's smile dropped, looking back down at her notebook as Amari glared dangerously at Mr. Tanner. She hated that he acted like he was better than everyone else when in reality, he wasn't.
Mr. Tanner glanced around the room, his eyes landed on Matt, "Mr. Donovan. Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your jock stereotype?"
Matt shook his head leaning back in his seat casually, "I'm cool with it."
The students chuckle once again, Tanner humming before his eyes land on the Gilbert girl, "Ms. Gilbert!" He called out drawing her attention to Tanner, he raised his eyebrows, " Surely, you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significant historical events."
Elena looked at him in surprise, she didn't know the answer. Shaking her head, apologizing, "I'm sorry, I don't know."
Amari sent a sympathetic look toward Elena, hoping he wouldn't be too hard on her. Mr. Tanner huffed, sending her a glare before slowly walking towards her.
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena, but the personal excuses ended with summer break." Mr. Tanner harshly spoke, Amari narrowed her eyes at him for bringing up the girl's parents' death, "Well, that was fucking rude!"
The students glanced around nervously, knowing what was going to happen, she was the kind of person who stuck up for people.
"I feel sorry for whoever you end up with, though I don't think anyone would pity you enough to actually want to be with you." Amari huffed out, giving him the stink eye.
She threw her hands up in annoyance, "We can't just switch our emotions off. They just died, not everyone is a heartless pig like you. Grief isn't just gonna disappear because you want it to."
Mr. Tanner rolled his eyes at Amari, having enough of the brunette's witty remarks. But she wasn't done talking, she hissed, "No wonder you have no life! You're heartless to others around you. Does it make you feel better? Tormenting your students?"
"To answer your question there were 345 casualties unless you're counting local civilians."
"346 casualties, actually, minus civilians," Stefan spoke up, giving Amari a curious look.
Mr. Tanner hummed as he moved his eyes away from Amari, "That's correct. Mr.?"
"Salvatore" Stefan answered, shrugging his shoulders.
"Salvatore?" Mr. Tanner repeated, furrowing his eyebrows, the boy's last name sounded familiar, "Any relation to the original settlers here at mystic falls?"
Stefan nodded his head, "Distant," he informed.
Mr. Tanner walked back to his desk, "Well, very good." A smirk appeared and he continued, "Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle."
Amari raised a brow, knowing he was wrong, "Actually, there were 27. Confederate soldiers fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons."
Elena grinned; all the reading Amari did was finally paying up. She wished she read as much as Amari did, maybe it would save her from the embarrassment of Mr. Tanner.
"They were wrong," Stefan continued, glancing at Amari with a small smile. "The founder's archives are, uh, stored in the city hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr. Tanner."
The class chuckled as Stefan corrected Tanner, Amari sent a smile to the green-eyed boy grateful he humiliated Tanner for his lack of knowledge.
─────────────
The school bell rang, and everyone gathered their things before walking out of the classroom. Amari caught up with Stefan, giving him a grin, "That was funny, Salvatore."
Stefan couldn't help but laugh at the brunette, "Thanks, you seem to know your history pretty well, too."
The girl shrugged her shoulders with a grin on her face as she started to walk away but not before calling out, "History is the story of our lives, helps to know it, so we don’t repeat it. See you tonight!"
─────────────
Amari sat in the Mystic Grill, reading a book while sipping a glass of bourbon. She couldn't hear the nearby people speaking, the sound of glass hitting a table, people laughing, and others walking around. But she could feel someone's eyes on her.
She looked up startled by her ex-best friend's presence, she spoke softly, “What's up?"
She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, they hadn't spoken much since the incident. She didn't really like being around him, and he respected that.
Tyler sighed, sitting in the seat across from her, looking at his friend in worry and concern, " I'm worried about you."
"You've been distant and we're concerned about you; we just want to make sure you're alright."
"Okay," Amari rolled her eyes, taking a deep breath she looked directly into his eyes, "I'm not gonna keep repeating myself. I'm okay, I'm not the best but I'm getting there."
She slumped back in her seat with a huff, "I don't need you guys constantly hounding me."
The curly brunette looked at the table, a frown on her face at the thought of her adoptive parents, it had already been five months, and dealing with their death was harder than she thought. Miranda and Grayson weren't just her parents, they were her best friends, and losing them was a pain she wasn't ready for.
She didn't really react when her birth parents died, they were shitty people, and she barely knew them. She didn't know how to move on without her adoptive parents in her life, all she felt was anger and she didn't know how to control it.
"Are you going to the party tonight?" Tyler asked, making Amari raise her eyebrows at the Lockwood boy, "I was wondering if you wanted to go together?"
Amari sighed, giving Tyler a thoughtful look. She knew it was a bad idea, they haven't really spoken since he decided to start sleeping with Vicki Donovan. She didn't know why he did, but she knew he was using her, and she didn't like it.
Tyler knew he should have been there for Amari, helping her while she was grieving. The Lockwood was filled with guilt, Amari used to be fun, outgoing, selfless, kindhearted, and had a beautiful soul inside and out. Now she was slowly becoming a waste of grief, guilt, and depression.
"I don't really plan on going," She responded, shaking her head before she could say anything else. he cut her off, "Just hear me out, okay?"
"I know I messed up massively and there's no way we could back to the way we were, but I miss you Aims. I miss my best friend."
Amari huffed, looking down at the table before looking back up. Debating whether she would go with him or not, she missed her best friend, "I'm so going to regret this. Fine, just this once. I mean it, you blockhead."
"You won't regret it," Tyler exclaimed, a beaming smile on his face. Yanking her out of the seat and wrapping his arms around the dark-skinned girl, spinning her around before placing her on the floor.
A dark-haired man sat across the grill, listening to their conversation. He clenched his jaw in irritation or jealousy, he didn't know.
Amari is extremely intelligent, stubborn, and loyal. She looked and acted so much like his past friend. She was the reason he came back to Mystic Falls. He needed to get to know her.
─────────────
Later that night, the girls stood at the falls drinking from the red cup in their hands. The three girls were talking about Stefan, unaware the boy was listening to their conversation.
"Admit it, Mari," Elena giggled, exchanging an amused look with Bonnie.
"Okay, so he's cute," Amari snarked, shaking her head at her friends' squeals, "He has the romance novel stare. Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul"
The girls laugh loudly, the curly-haired brunette glancing around searching for Salvatore. "Have any of you seen him?"
The girls shaking their heads, Elena turned to Bonnie with a smirk on her face. "You tell us, you're the psychic one."
The Bennett lets out a snort, tilting her head to the side, and she closes her eyes. "I forgot, give me a sec. Grams says I have to concentrate."
"Wait," Her eyes snap open, glancing at Gilbert's random outburst. "You need a crystal ball!"
Bonnie and Amari glance at each other in amusement, watching Gilbert look around. She comes back with an empty beer bottle. "Ta-da!"
Elena handed Bonnie the bottle, but when the Bennett girl's hand came in contact with Elena's, she gasped loudly. The other two exchange a look of concern, "What's wrong?"
"That was weird. When I touched you, I saw a crow," Bonnie trailed off, Elena staring at the floor remembering her visit to the graveyard, and ended up bumping into Stefan.
"A crow. There was a bunch of water, a woman, fog, a man, " Bonnie looked even more freaked out than she was before," I'm drunk. It's the drinking. There's nothing psychic about it"
Seeing the looks on her friend's face, " Yeah, okay. I'm gonna get a refill."
“Bonnie,” Amari called out, jogging after her friend only to lose her in the crowd. She spins in a circle, searching for Bonnie. Catching sight of Jeremy going into the woods, she runs after him. “Jerky!”
Jeremy slows his stride to a walk, glancing back at the flailing Amari, he chuckles. “What do you want, Mari?”
“Just to hang out with my baby bro.” She punches his shoulder, wrapping her arm around his neck, ruffling his hair. Laughing, Jeremy shoves her away from him to fix his hair.
“We aren’t actually brother and sister, you know?” He looks over at Amari, a smile still on his face.
“Well,” She grins, looping her arm with his. “Not by blood.”
Before Jeremy can respond, a voice yells out. “Tyler, I said no!” The two look at each other in alarm. “Vicky.”
They run around into the forest, seeing Vicky pressed up against a tree attempting to push Tyler off her. Jeremy rams into Tyler’s side, forcing him onto the floor. Amari jogs to Vicky, cupping her face. “You okay? Want me to punch him?”
“No, I’m fine,” Vicky giggles out, her arm coming up to wrap around Amari’s waist. “Thanks for helping me.”
“You know, Mari,” Tyler shoves Jeremy at the girls. “I’m starting to realize why I stopped hanging with you.”
“Why? Cause I care about consent?” Amari rubs Vicky’s back, letting out a chuckle. “Or cause Matt would rather I date Vicky?”
Tyler rolls his eyes, ignoring the giggling, and chuckles, “You know, you’re starting to get on my nerves, Taylor,” he states, taking a threatening step forward, only to be shoved backward by Vicky.
“Enough, Tyler, get the hell away from me!” She screams, stepping back towards Jeremy.
“Wow,” Tyler holds his hands up, a fake grin on his face. “Vicki Donovan says no. That’s a first.” He glares, before walking away. Amari takes a rock and throws it at him, hitting him in the back. He flicks her off without turning, “Suck my dick, Aims.”
Amari glances at the other two, watching them talk and giggle. She sneaks away before they can speak to her, glancing back at the pair in amusement.
After walking in the woods for a while, Amari found herself looking for Tyler, “Tyler?!” Fog appears from the woods, surrounding her feet. “C’mon, asshat! If you’re trying to scare me, this ain’t working!”
The fog starts flowing up her body, spinning around her in a circle. A twig snaps and she runs in the opposite direction. “Nope! No, no! No, no, no!”
Amari rushed back to the party, glancing back in fear of something following her. She walks backward, glancing around before bumping into something.
"Sorry," Amari apologized with a small smile on her face, Stefan raised his eyebrows seeing the terrified look in her eyes, "Are you okay?"
She looked behind her before looking back at Stefan, pointing behind her, "Yeah, um, just something followed me. Probably just an animal."
Amari nodded her head, trying to convince herself. Stefan wraps an arm around her, guiding her head to his shoulder. The moment is ruined by the sound of Elena yelling, with Jeremy following after her carrying Vicki's unconscious body, "Somebody help!"
Amari rushed towards her the pair, leaving Stefan behind. Matt rushed towards his sister who is now laid down on the table, "Vicki!? Somebody call an ambulance!”
Tyler pushed people away and yelled out, “Everybody back up. Give her space"
"Something bit her, she's losing a lot of blood!" Elena says panicked
The dark-skinned girl takes Elena's scarf and places it against Vicki’s neck, “Come on, Vicki! Open your eyes." She says trying to get her to wake up.
With everybody's attention on Vicki, nobody saw the look of realization on Stefan's face knowing what, or who attacked the girl and what scared Amari in the woods. The Salvatore boy backs away from the crowd as quickly as he can without drawing much attention.

Grab a poster off the box (it’s sort of cleaning up the streets) and head back to the station, I guess! At least he snagged himself a nice new collectible. . .at any rate, I wrapped up his work day with some cross-referencing and a quick meal, and headed home. . .
And almost immediately got a text from Otis, asking if Eric wanted to hang out. I almost never accept these, so I decided to go against the flow and say sure! And so Eric was whisked off to the mystical world of Willow Creek, to chat with Otis and meet the rest of his family:
1. Teenage son Spencer, who had a bit of a hard time dragging himself away from the TV to talk to the guest
2. Baby daughter Laurie, whom Eric had to feed and change to prevent her getting taken away (her own father apparently couldn’t be bothered)
3. Wife Brooklyn -- whom Eric actually knows already because she’s one of his coworkers! O.o Did not realize that until I looked at her on the relationship panel. Kind of embarrassing, really -- I have to keep better track of the NPCs in my Sims lives!
At any rate, Eric had a good chat with the family, reaffirming his friendship with Otis and getting to know the others. Nice to spend the evening somewhere else, I suppose. Even if that somewhere else is a house that’s a bit too small for a family of four. . . Sorry, Stephens, I didn’t move you in here! ^^: At least as an unplayed family your needs are all handled off-screen?
Anyway -- that’s another day in the can. Next up -- we’re back around to SimCity Founding! :D How’s Eric going to celebrate? He’s got big plans, I can tell you that much. . .
