thinking back to my first honey moon phase and how much i miss it. id just left school and id finished my exams so i was at home for 4 months doing nothing. id wake up at 1pm and play video games until i ate dinner, then i’d work out and play more video games until 4am when i’d pass out. that was all i did !! when i started college i was so deep into the routine that it never changed and my mental health was just getting worse and worse so i didn’t wanna eat anyway. when christmas came around i let myself have the day to not count calories and everything went down hill. i got covid and ended up in the hospital so i had to eat no matter what.

i ended up working at mcdonald’s that year, and ofc id binge on every shift bc the triggers were literally right there. i gained a good 20lbs by the time i��d quit and i’ve been stuck in a binge and restrict cycle ever since and that was over a year ago idk what to do anymore!! i don’t have an appetite anymore, so i can’t even force myself to eat more to go into a low res, i just binge on candy after work (i work 40h a week + uni now too so it’s so different from my first phase) and i feel so trapped and helpless

AM I SORRY IT TOOK SO GOD DAMNED LONG. But here it is :)

He keeps track of her eating schedules throughout the week. From Sunday to Saturday he catalogs every morsel that passes her teeth in particular details. He makes note of how many times he’s caught her purging and binging. He hangs his results on the door in his bedroom, and by the way he always looks, it’s never good.

A permanent frown curses Beelzebub’s face whenever the topic shifts to eating between the two. He can’t help it himself, the constant need to eat is something his entire life is built around. How he manages to work out between meals is anyone’s guess, but if anyone had a good idea of it, Jinx would be that person.

At 6AM sharp every morning he comes to her room and knocks loudly. Then he opens the door and flicks her lights on, demanding she get to her feet and prepare for their jog. He waits by the door, arms crossed, his eyebrows knitted down in annoyance as she shuffles about the room getting her things in order. Beelzebub likes it better this way. She doesn’t complain or protest nearly as much when she doesn’t have the energy for it.

They finish their morning jog in about 30 minutes or less, if she can handle that far. He’s been lucky enough to jog so early in the morning. He could remember the first few times they jogged together. Jinx was so exhausted and low on energy that she managed to pass out. It took Beelzebub five minutes to realize she was no longer there and back tracked to find her disoriented on the ground. Her punishment was to eat a full breakfast that morning.

On a regular day like this, she would blend fruits and yogurt together and drink that, saying it was “sort of like eating”. It only managed to impress Beelzebub for as long as he was able to drink it with her. She would spend longer in the kitchen cooking breakfast- usually a task left to Lucifer but she promised to help out in the house some ways. He’d allow it once he saw the beautiful spread of dishes across their table most mornings. Jinx always seemed happy to serve breakfast. The past was no different, though Beelzebub and Mammon often questioned why she never shared a plate at the table.

“Oh! I ate all while cooking- just to taste test everything. I’ve had my share.”

Unfortunately for everyone else, it was enough. For Beelzebub, it never was.

After breakfast one of the brothers would offer to clean the dishes for her- but she would always insist on it herself. Lucifer decided to put it to a day when each of them would help– and Beelzebub loved Fridays. He’d stand next to her, a little system in order where he would scrub the dishes clean before passing them to her. She would rinse and dry them before setting them on a rack. Occasionally they would switch sides and he would see just how long it would take for her to complain of soreness from so much scrubbing.

”You should eat and work out more. It would give you more energy.” He would say.

Trips to the gym were not so rare that she couldn’t predict them, but were rare enough that she was never prepared for them. It would never help that he would force her into the gym by convincing her they were doing light things for that day. Light for him however. For someone who barely weighed a 100lbs, the tiresome workouts would leave her so fatigued it had other demons turning their heads. Jinx would always return home and hit the showers with Beelzebub. From there she would lay in the tub and he would scrub and massage every inch of her. No matter how much she squirmed under him, he caught a sense of sick pleasure watching the unease crawl up her throat, knowing she wouldn’t speak out of turn for appearing “weak” before him. A demon can smell fear enough as is.

Beelzebub kept track of her eating habits since they’ve fallen into new routines. While not nearly as much as he’d hope, there were some vestiges of hope for her yet. He was sure that her binging was contributing to it all, but the lack of purging was becoming more apparent. He would have been coming to her door for the late afternoon snack but was disappointed to find her not in her room resting or using some silly form of time-wasting. As he wandered the halls of his home, lips permanently pulled downwards, he found a bundle of pink hair passing into the living room. When he peaked in he found a handful of his brothers sitting around the couch and coffee table, all facing the TV.

There was Leviathan, sitting on the end of the couch with his knees to his chest, full attention on the handheld in his palms. Jin, her twin brother, was playing a game of poker with Mammon, betting a few grimm at a time. Lucifer was setting up the table with snacks, and then turned to Jinx to ask her a few questions. He poked his head out from behind her hips and his gaze landed upon his youngest brother. ”He always comes to the smell of food. Nevermind then.” he sighs.

Jinx turns and looks at Beelzebub and immediately sweat forms on her forehead. It’s as if all the energy in her was drained by the sight of him. Her eyes were sunken and her stance slouched a bit. A movie night, he figured. He glanced at the TV seeing an older classic action movie paused at its title card. Ah, they were about to start too.

”I’ll be right back, actually. I left my phone in the kitchen when I was making the popcorn.” And with that, Jinx hurriedly moved past Beelzebub’s frame. He hadn’t bothered to move out of her way, eyes fixed on the small of her torso with a panging irritation. Just why in the hell did she refuse to eat?

”Oi Beel! Don’t you even think of eating all the snacks this time! We made you your own portion so don’t go takin’ mine!” Mammon called back.

Beelzebub smiled warmly at his older brother before remarking that he’d only take it if he didn’t want anymore. Speaking particularly slowly so that Jin could steal a glance at his hand and nearly chuckled at the revelation.

Jin puffed out his chest, proud and reassured in his victory. ”I say you can have my entire bag, dude. Why not? I’ll have enough grimm to buy more for myself at this game anyway!” With that, the two returned to their game. Lucifer looked back to Leviathan as he plopped himself on to the couch. He had a raised eyebrow, eyeing him and his handheld for a moment before prattling on about not playing that all through the movie. Mindless chatter while waiting for their last guest to arrive for their seating, Beelzebub stood in the doorway and waited.

And he waited. And he waited a bit more. Then he slipped out into the hallway. From the moment he laid eyes on Jinx proper in the living room he felt a storm brewing under his skin. This day he would make her eat her share, and hopefully that emptiness in her stomach would finally be full, so he could finally have peace of mind.

As he stalked down the hallway with his hands jammed into his pocket, he came across Jinx staggering towards the kitchen. He waited a bit behind, opting to be silent while he watched. Her tiny figure used the support of the wall and sheer willpower to trek on, but it was clear to Beelzebub what was going to happen. The irritation embedded in him was flaring up and all he could do was watch as she stumbled, knocked into a drawer before collapsing to the ground. The valuable vase sitting atop the drawer rumbled before crashing as well, some of the ceramic scratching against her dark skin.

Beelzebub watched, indifferent.

He moved around her tired little body and stared. She must have been binging in front of him, and when he was off to sleep, purging her contents in the bathroom, far from his room. He knelt down and forcibly turned her on to her front , shaking her to consciousness. Dazed with little to say, she was making sense of her surroundings. Beelzebub thought it was a show.

”Get up already. We’re all waiting for you to come watch the movie.”

”Movie…?” She muttered. ”Oh, right… Sorry.” It’s annoying. You always do this. You should eat. All these words bounced around in Beelzebub’s head, but none of them fit his anger at that moment. He gripped her by her shirt and hoisted her to her feet. Then he shoved her, unconcerned when she stumbled again and fell on her back. When she did not get up, he walked around and stared down at her, unimpressed. Then he walked down to the kitchen, unbothered by her little “stunt”. As he was returning he heard footsteps. Then shouting.

Unphased he continued until he found Jin kneeling beside his sister, lifting her head. Mammon and Lucifer were not far behind, the latter preparing his phone to make a quick call. All Beelzebub did was stand back and wait.

A day had passed since then, and although he expected to get chewed out by Lucifer over this, he was more surprised to see that they were focusing all their effort on getting Jinx back to the human realm. Something about a mental institution. The details were hazy as he downed bag after bag of snacks during the family meeting. He didn’t care one way or another if she went or not. If she went, she would go to learn to eat. If she stayed, he would force her to do it. So when in favor of her going home, he lifted his hand before returning to his snacks.

The aloof attitude struck Lucifer suspicious but he held his tongue.

In the days following the final decision Beelzebub made his way to Jinx’s bedroom. When he opened the door most of the items decorating the space were still laying back, but her closet had been emptied and a few items were stuffed in her suitcase. She was sitting on the small sofa faced away from the door. He heard the sound of scissors open and close before silently shutting the door behind him. Another one of her stupid art projects, he assumed.

He stood blank faced as she walked through the portal, the tiny sorcerer and tall pinkette brother in tow. He waved his goodbyes instead of speaking, and just after Jinx disappeared back to the human realm, he left for the kitchen. If she’d ever return or not was squarely up to her now. Beelzebub never felt so free.

First of all—thank you so much for liking my fic so much that you contacted me personally? 🥹 I got this message a few days ago and I’ve been freaking out over how to respond cause like—

I’m actually halfway through the next chapter (I think it’s chapter 14) but life kinda hit me in the balls?? I’m a nursing student, so last semester really just sucked 😭 and then my personal life got suuuuper messy (classic ao3 author stuff) but I really wanna finish the fic this year! This year or the next—I’m not abandoning it, I’m just..,. Busy and also have a huge fear that my writing style isn’t at all up to par for the things I want to achieve 😭

I’m so glad you like my fic though and thank you for reaching out!!!!! ❤️ it means a lot and I’ve been writing some other AC stuff on the side (mostly Desmond-centric because he’s literally The Man Of All Time) so hopefully during February or March I’ll be able to post more.

Hey, word of advice, if you restrict waaaayyy too much (like under 500 kcal give or take) you may lead to a binging cycle. I know how much those suck and I don’t wanna see anyone having to go through the awful self loathing that comes with it.

I usually try to stick around 600-1,200 kcal and without exercising (exercising leads me to binge because I feel “oh, I deserve to eat after that” or “oh, well I neeeed the calories since I worked out” which is a trap).

Just cutting calories down and going about my regular life has been very helpful for me. I’m already down 10+ lbs overall (over the course of a month give or take). And even those slip up days where you’re closer to 2,000 kcal, won’t ruin everything. I’ve had like 2 days in the past month like that and I’ve still lost.

And I don’t have any foods forbidden to me (except 90% of meat because I can’t digest it but that’s different). So if I’m craving soemthing, I’ll eat a small bit, realise it doesn’t live up to the hype, get bored of it and pass it off to someone else for them to finish it.

Either that or finding clever ways to cut calories. Like instead of a burger (in my case an impossible whopper) in the form of a sandwich, get just the plain patty. It cuts the calories substantially and allows the focus to be on the object with actual nutritional value.

To my family I seem to be perfectly normal because they see me eat. Which means I can get away with this much longer.

Though I do know I’m also different. Food never actually aligns with my fantasy of it so I know I’ll always be disappointed by it and therefore will never eat too much of it.

But by forbidding certain foods for no reason other than trying to lose weight, that’s what would make me binge because of how hungry I’d get restricting so much (or fasting) due to the forbidden nature of those foods. If nothing is off limits (in moderation) then you won’t long for it too much.

Sorry for how long this ask is but I do hope that it’s helpful. Just gotta be nicer to yourself to succeed.

god i’ve been waiting for the entire volume to finish airing before i binge watch it and now i’m even more hyped because HOLY FUCK BEES (and now that there’s explicit confirmation i can finally stop fighting people who keep saying it’s queerbait/never going to happen even though it was clearly a slow burn romance)

Omg yeah! I genuinely don't even have the words for how absolutely perfect it was as a whole entire scene, you are in for such a treat when you see it in real time. People have been saying this in various posts already, but I really feel like people just didn't believe that Blake and Yang's relationship was actually a slow burn all along. We're so used to characters only being implied, or only getting together at the very end of the series, so they thought that RWBY would just drag this on until then, in the same way. More than anything, this episode proved that it was a slow burn, (and in my humble opinion-) in the best way possible. There's so much I wanna say about Blake and Yang, but what I love the most is how every single point of growth and change and acceptance that continually happened in their relationship over nine volumes truly mattered when it came down to it. The buildup, the confessions as they slowly walked across the bridge, the kiss- it just wouldn't have had the same impact without all of that groundwork that was laid out from the beginning. Every single moment that Blake and Yang had together, was brought up in some way- in every admittance, in every hesitant smile and small blush- as they worked through their feelings and came to this conclusion. And I genuinely feel like it was so much more meaningful because we've seen everything they've been through to get to this point, and in the end it was all important- again, it all mattered. To say nothing of the animation and the lighting and the music and just the whole concept of the way they had to cross a bridge to finally meet each other in the middle with their true feelings realized, the flowers, the expressions... CRWBY really did Blake and Yang so much justice, I'm absolutely floored by how genuinely true this was to Blake and Yang's characters. It really was something special. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch the scene five more times at least :3

Best gift you’ve ever gotten: I would have to say the best gift I ever got came from my old high school ap lit teacher/theater director I was in the plays every year from 7th-12th grade and she got me a necklace with the drama faces on it along with a jewelry box that played at the beginning from Anastasia, which was the first song I ever sang with her on stage, when I graduated so yeah she gets the win everytime cuz she had me bawling like a baby at the final cast party we did

Nicest thing anyone’s ever done for you: I have 4 different friends who on 4 different occasions just bought me gifts not because of anything special or because they felt sorry over us fighting or something just they saw something and genuinely thought I would like it. I honestly just love receiving gifts that someone gets you out of the blue just because they simply think of you after seeing something and get it for you like it definitely means a lot to me that I'm the first person they thought of when getting those things

Your favourite holiday memory: Um... I honestly don't know if I have one, but something that I look back and think fondly of is when the one year my mom and I caroled with our church choir like I remember all the baking we did the day before in the church kitchen and it was a lot of us singing to Christmas songs that probably shouldn't be played in church lol and the caroling itself went well we gave out plates of cookies and caroled for any person who was on our prayer list at the time and seeing some of those people's faces like them seeing that people did care and that they weren't alone meant everything to me

Where you want to go first once we can travel again: New Zealand it's always looked so beautiful plus I mean that's where Lucy Lawless is from so it has to be amazing

Your spirit animal: I'm going to say a wolf just because I've always had this obsession with them since I was a kid

MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT TAG 2022

It’s the first day of July and it’s time to check in on those reading goals! I've been doing this tag for the past two years and I'm happy to see that this year so many other booklrs are doing it too!

My reading has been going fine. I have started DNFing more books which is ultimately great so I have fewer 2 star reads than usual (I don't count DNFs towards my reading goal). Thrillers are supposed to be my favorite genre but this year I've had such bad luck with them, they're either 3 stars or lower. Romance is the only genre that's making me happy. As always I have multiple answers for everything so here goes:

I read the entirety of the Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee in the first half of the year and both Jade War and Jade Legacy were fantastic sequels and the trilogy itself was so good! I also read The Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert and Act Your Age Eve Brown was my favorite among them!

okay up until 5 minutes ago, i was a whole month behind on only friends. i wanted to wait until ep 12 so i could just binge eps 7-12 but i caved and just finished ep 11. and a major opinion i came out of ep 11 with is WHY TF DID THEY WAIT UNTIL LIKE THE VERY END OF THE SERIES TO INTRODUCE BOEING??? the drama he's causing, i love it so much. there's just so much more potential he has, i want more than just one last episode of him trying to stir the pot. i don't wanna see a rushed episode of pot stirring between boeing, ray, and sand either. top honestly didn't deserve the shit he got from mew because the thing with boston happened so early on in their relationship (and yeah, it shouldn't have happened and yeah, he should have told mew from the start)... he'd be deserving if it had just happened like a week prior to mew finding out. that's not me being a cheater apologist, i wanna clarify that right away. i just think he shoulda got dumped and maybe punched, not had his heart twisted and torn like it was by both mew and boeing. also, chuem's bisexual erasure is shit, she's shit for that. and atom is a piece of literal garbage for what he tried to do to boston, who tf does that. you fucked one time??? you knew what kind of person boston was and you just automatically assumed he'd fall in love with you when he hadn't really admitted to his feelings for nick, someone he's slept with multiple times and treated much better than his past boys, up until the very end of the series??? fucking crazy. also boston deserves better than the shit friends he had, i think being with nick would actually make him a lot better of a person too. and we all love ray and sand, they are perfect for each other and nobody better complain or i'm coming for throats. they are angels, that's final.

first of all nonnie you’re so real lmao. for the boeing stuff, i’m mostly gonna direct you to this post by @wen-kexing-apologist because it explains beautifully why that choice was made. that being said, i do def get the disappointment of him not being introduced sooner purely for the fun of it. i’m also of the opinion that this show probably should have been longer because this plot and everything they’ve tried to fit just doesn’t work for a twelve ep structure. there’s only one ep left and there’s oh so many things to wrap up, and the directors have even admitted to cutting a bunch of things. and i think a lot of the common complaints would have been fixed had this show gotten even two more episodes rather than being shoved into twelve

anywayssss, i do fully agree that mew took things too far with top m, especially seeing as top technically DIDNT cheat, they weren’t together at the time — like you said, that’s not a cheater-apologist thing but (trust me i’ve seen some cheater apologist shit in this fandom 🙄) that’s just the truth, mew had refused to establish them. which is part of why it also really doesn’t surprise me that mew DID go so far. mew, from the beginning, has liked having control and feeling above others and top cheating on him through a complete wrench in that. it’s great he does seem to have learned and grown and all that and understood that that just doesn’t work if he does want a real relationship with top, and i’m very excited to see where the two of them go.
