Okay, so. The King of Beasts is a full-on lion, right??? Like Scar is very much depicted as a lion in all of his statues and portraits:

But then we have the Generous Fox (Honest John) and the Good-Natured Cat (Gideon), who are also said to be important figures in the popular children's story of Wish Upon a Star… and Honest John and Gideon are clearly depicted as an anthropomorphic fox and cat, respectively:

And then we have beastmen, who are mostly human but have animalistic traits, namely in the tails and/or ears and horns. We also see these animal traits arising in their behaviors and abilities (such as quick reflexes, enhanced strength and/or speed, sensitivity to smell, etc.):

The beastmen are said to have animal ancestors, which makes sense considering that prominent people like the King of Beasts and other animal figures appear in Twisted Wonderland history; these figures are depicted in artwork, architecture, etc.:

So are we… are we literally witnessing the “evolution” of actual animals to anthros to beastmen through those statues??? 😭 (Twisted Wonderland still of course has actual animals in modern day; beastmen must have diverged and formed a separate group.)

Okay but like honestly, who is this?

Yeah I get it’s probably supposed to be a beta version of Caramel Arrow Cookie, but the voice sounds different (I’d say a bit deeper/older), and also timeline wise it doesn’t add up. It’s implied that Caramel Arrow is at least a few years younger than Dark Choco, considering he taught her to wield a bow (especially since in this kingdom, they learn to wield weapons at a young age), and Dark Choco was young himself at this time. More likely she’d be a teenager, or even close to Milk’s age in this flashback. But this lady’s clearly an adult. And even if it was a beta version of Caramel Arrow, wouldn’t they have gone and made her look more like Caramel Arrow, or had her name indicate who she is like what they do with Milk Cookie?

I don’t know, it probably doesn’t matter, but it just popped into my head and it’s weird

i’m definitely reading too much into this because of my scp foundation brainrot, but fuck the fact that reverse 1999’s main faction is called the (saint pavlov’s) foundation is driving me insane. the name even starts with the letters ‘s’ and ‘p’??? it’s just missing a ‘c’ and it could literally be abbreviated as “the scp foundation” it almost feels like it was specifically designed to cater to me

also look at this logo on medicine pocket’s id badge. double circles. three points. three arrows. tell me it isn’t at least a little similar to the logo below. you could’ve told me it was some sort of variant on the scp foundation insignia and i would’ve EASILY believed you without question.

i really don’t have a point to all this. i don’t think a single person who sees this will even know what the hell i’m talking about, i just really needed to get this out of my system.

how both the rg and ug interact with one another has always been strange to an extent. in-universe people have always acknowledged that there is something going on, particularly in the first twewy with the existence of reaper creeper at least reflecting how urban myths have popped up as a result + scanned npc dialogue often times referring to “strange happenings” such as seeing people with wings. however, despite there being limitations with how much players and reapers can interact with the ug, the rules as to what can be brought back in neo is particularly weird.

aside from how confusing the plot point of nearly every wicked twister being not actually dead yet managing to interact with the ug and what i’m assuming to be certain people in the rg in beat’s case, but shoka the iguana has always puzzled me.

most animals shown within the games are noise, and as far as i’m aware (unless secret reports have clarified this and i forgot) dead animals can’t enter the reaper’s game. of course reapers have a bit more freedom, such as 777 being able to start a popular band with little consequence, so it leads me to question if shoka the iguana either was bought and taken into the ug or somehow died alongside ayano and got a free pass in (and she changed its name/finally gave it one upon making friends with shoka, but this is incredibly unlikely altogether).

it doesn’t ruin anything but it’s just a little odd and also makes me wonder if, were there to be a third game or even something like the extra stuff added to the first game’s rereleases, we could potentially see some exploration of the rg and ug’s relationship.

i was having this discussion on twitter and i wanna expand on it. i’m aware this is probably just a gag that will lead to nowhere but who am i if i don’t overthink about every little detail in spy x family

it’s interesting to me how anya was jealous of her mama this episode. and this isn’t anything new. ever since melinda was introduced, anya has taken it upon herself to make sure she can become friends with damian before yor can become friends with melinda, thus creating some sort of “rivalry” against her mama in her little head. again, it’s probably just a funny gag that has no real importance but what if it’s not? what if there’s something deeper there?

anya believes her papa’s love is conditional. she’s well aware of the fact that the reason why he adopted her in the first place is because of his mission and deep down thinks that he’ll throw her away as soon as she’s no longer useful. let’s remember this is a little girl with a lot of abandonment issues whose only dream in life is to have a warm, loving family. now that she has that, especially considering the circumstances in which she got it, she’s terrified that it’ll be taken away from her.

in her mind, it is her “mission” to complete the friendship scheme. but now, there’s someone that poses a threat to said scheme: her own mama. if yor is able to become friends with melinda and, through melinda, help loid get closer to his target, then loid will have no use for anya anymore. there will be no point in her becoming friends with damian, therefore she’ll be deemed useless and be put back in the orphanage while loid and yor go have a double honeymoon with their new best friends donovan and melinda desmond and then forget all about her.

obviously, we all know it’s not true. while loid would love the idea of damian and anya becoming friends, he’s not forcing it upon her or demanding it from her. he’s not forcing or demanding her to do anything anymore, really. even with studying, he has become much more flexible and allows her to play and nap and eat and make homework less of a priority. why? because he wants her to be happy. twilight’s priority has shifted from the mission to making sure his family is happy, even if he doesn’t even realize it yet. with the way things are, there’s no way he could ever just mindlessly return anya to the orphanage (and, even if he wanted to, yor would murder him before he could even try). but i don’t blame anya for thinking this way. at the end of the day, she’s just a toddler. she doesn’t have the skills and mental capacity to even start unpacking all of her trauma and begin understanding how it affects her worldview. but it does make me sad that she would ever see yor as anything other than the amazing and selfless mom that she is.

Oh I know the answer to Mammon's room! It quite literally is magic! It's mentioned in a hard mode lesson(I think?) that Asmo's room has windows to the outside despite being an interior room because Lucifer magically changed the rooms for his brothers when the house was made. So Mammon's room most likely connects to a ground level garage door with magic!

That makes sense but also just seems so damn excessive.

Maybe it’s just because we live in a magic less world, but that seems just like too much. It would be so much easier to just have his room on the ground level.

So I’ve seen a couple people having ideas of rereleasing Dark Choco but as a Super Epic, and I’m wondering how that’d work, especially since we don’t really have a precedent for this specifically

The only thing close to it that we have currently is Croissant and Timekeeper, as well as presumably White Lily and Dark Enchantress, who are technically the same people, but through whatever means they became entirely different entities, which isn’t really what we’d be aiming for here, it’s just a rerelease of the same Cookie

I mean first off, would they do it? I feel like the requirements for this sort of situation is that you’d need a different design, but also a completely different Skill, or else you could just make it a Legendary costume (or maybe they’ll introduce Super Epic costumes which basically act like Legendary costumes but for Epics). Now, I think that Dark Choco can tick off the new Skill box, since his old Skill comes entirely from the Strawberry Jam Sword, which he no longer has, so I feel like making the skill different entirely isn’t too much of a stretch. I mean you could give him a different weapon, like a bow since we know he can use one

But then if they did rerelease him, what happens to the old Dark Choco in game? Would they just delete him? That wouldn’t really be fair to the players who put in the hard work getting him fully leveled up, promoting him to 5A, and getting all his costumes. Not to mention it’d make his old Special costume a bit of a waste. And I mean, if this new one has an entirely different Skill, why not keep the old one around?

But then there’d come the confusion of having two characters with the same name in the same game together, and it’d be really confusing for newer players who don’t know the whole story yet. So he’d probably have to change his name in this rerelease, right? But then why would he change his name in canon? Going back to Croissant/Timekeeper and White Lily/Dark Enchantress, those pairs look fundamentally different in each form, act completely different, and probably have different ingredients. For Dark Enchantress we know she was rebaked, and I’m not entirely sure for Timekeeper other than all the time rifts slowly changing them over time. So would Dark Choco have to change into a different Cookie somehow? Like he gets rebaked? I mean he can still have his memories and his personality (I mean like his changed one as he goes through his redemption arc), but he’s also a different Cookie? I’m not really sure how or why that’d work

And also also, if they were to make a new Dark Choco that’s a Super Epic while keeping the old one, what happens to the old one? Does he just become obsolete? I mean you can give him a Magic Candy, but what’s that gonna matter when you have the new Super Epic one that’s probably in the meta? And also what would they do for new Costumes, would they have to both get one or would only one get one, leaving the other in the dust? Again I see this being less of a problem if they’re now two different characters, even if they aren’t as fundamentally different as the other two pairs, but there’s still that question of how to justify that

I’m not trying to bash the idea of rereleasing Dark Choco as a Super Epic, I think it’d be cool, I’m just overthinking the whole thing. I’m curious what Devsis is going to do with him in game as right now, he’s like the only character who’s playable self is fundamentally outdated in terms of where they are in canon (as well as being outdated in the meta, but that’s its own separate issue that can be solved by buffs and Magic Candies), and I wonder if they’re planning on fixing that going forward

yknow even w how they were trying to beat you to death with Anastasia, kama and charlotte being love interests in this event and how that wasn’t great for their characters at least they tried to do something with them; which I’m saying because

They could NOT figure out a single actual thing to do with mandricardo. Like I kind of thought at first that his thing in his interlude where he anti-friendzoned you was bc the writers were planning something during an event like this which came out very soon after where he (as explicitly as they would with a guy I do understand that) would be something at least vaguely resembling a male love interest so they wanted to clear the board with that

but they didn’t do that! They also didn’t give you any real scenes with him where he did something at all! He just sort of stood in the background and existed while other characters called him a downer and he got no chances to prove himself or do anything that actually contributed to the narrative except guard the amber, which he didn’t even get to do by himself because other servants also helped with that

The closest we got was the race section where they LOOKED like they were going to let him race Caeneus, but then they immediately backtracked and had da Vinci do it and like, I get she’s the welfare but she got a lot of other scenes to shine and he really needed at least one section where he could break away from just being background character number 3 and do something

Achilles also had a bit of this issue as well but he at least engaged more with the cast and had a good back and forth with blackbeard, with mandricardo it’s like they didn’t know how to write a more introverted character and so barely tried to do so all.

You could argue that not being written isn’t as bad as being written in a way that doesn’t do justice to your character but the girls at least got side stories or in-story tangents that put the romance more to the side to focus on them doing other things and he didn’t even get that, it just feels like a waste of his character.
