Jesper for the ask game??

first impression: iconic “spell forgive me in bullets on your chest” quote. when i read soc i always notice how he has the least main character-y introduction imo. in his first scene he’s mostly there to make it more lighthearted and show the bond btwn the dregs. he stands out more than the minor characters, but he wasn’t the pov character like inej and he didn’t stand out the way kaz obviously did so i hadn’t immediately recognized him as a main character. i don’t think this is a bad thing though and when i realized he was a main character i was really pleased because he seemed like a fun character

impression now: i just? think he’s good? i mean. he’s GOOD. something something he’s a criminal something something HE’S SO GOOD. like his conversation with inej near the end of CK directly followed by him going to talk with his dad to tell him the truth. he wants to be a good person, he wants to take care and protect his friends and family, he’s trying and he’s struggling and. i love him so so SO much. on the list of soc characters i really want to give a hug to he’s somewhere up there. also he wears lime green and lemon yellow together because he can and i adore him for that too. asks for an explosives guy on every job. ate a literal trough of waffles in apple syrup because he was dared to. not just girls! gonna get wylan’s ghost to teach his ghost to play the flute to annoy kaz. that’s why we call him wylan van sunshine. his iconic moments are limitless (just like my love for him) (the audience groans)

favorite moment: as always there are always so many but right now i’m going to go with all his moments with colm because i’ve been thinking about them recently, and his relationship with his parents in general. “i’m dying anyway, da. i’m just doing it slow.” jesper feels so much guilt but also anger because colm tried to protect him but wound up hurting him but above all jesper and colm care for and love each other so deeply and i!!!!! 😭 i love love. also going to mention when he talked about the oil market for a whole hour to stall the merchers because lmfao. for show jesper the first one i think of is when he shoots the card in inej’s mouth in order to join the performance troupe. when i watched that, i just Felt So Much at that moment. also the scene where he beats ivan

idea for a story: idk exactly but i do have some general things i think would be fun to see. i would love to read thoughts about an au where kaz and jesper are university friends. i would also love an au where kaz and jesper are farm boy friends. i have no idea how that would come about but i’d like it lol. misc kaz&wylan&jesper crimes but make it funny, because of that one part in rule of wolves where wylan said something about kaz only ever showing up at their house when he wanted them to do something illegal. also jesper using his powers more!! in rule of wolves, iirc, zoya mentions how the materialki work around wesper’s house was amateurish meaning jesper’s been experimenting and practicing, so idk that would be good to explore!!

unpopular opinion: i have only ever seen ppl gush over this scene so im standing here like 🧍‍♂️ is it just me. am i being dumb. but i have mixed feelings about the goat in the show when it comes to jesper. it was amusing and it was cute. but when the crows crossed the fold, jesper freaking out and yelling “so this is how i’m going to die?” while needing to hug the "emotional support goat” to calm down felt jarring and out of character. sentence 1 of chapter 11 in six of crows: “jesper always felt better when people were shooting at him.” he thrives when he’s in danger! it makes him focus! that’s like half the point of his later character development.

at first it felt like the entire bit with jesper needing an emotional support goat was there for comic relief and to intentionally turn it into a big fandom meme at the expense of jesper’s characterization. like the fact that ppl are saying things like "the conductor knew that jesper would panic in near-death situations so he specially brought along a goat lol" ??? but like, would jesper?? would he????? but thankfully the scene turned out ok bc he did his badass volcra shooting thing. the way im choosing to read that is that he’s just dramatic and wanted to scream about how he’s gonna die before he saved the day. i love the huge grin he has when they clear the fold and he goes to sit back down.

but fandom still latched onto the goat thing. which like, emotional support goat = good! if petting and hugging the goat makes jesper happy, good!! but it still reminds me of the Bad Feelings i had about jesper’s characterization in that fold scene so i’m still going keep insistently pointing to six of crows chapter 11 sentence 1

favorite relationship: INEJ JESPER BEST FRIENDS BEST FRIENDS BEST FRIENDS. they are so good and i am so happy that the show gave us so much new content for them pre-SOC, and whenever i see inesper fanart i get so happy. also height difference. hc tallest crow and smallest crow!! they’re just bffs i don’t know what else to tell you. and wesper of course <3333 lol i’m on a jesper&inej&kaz kick right now because of s&b, but i can’t wait for wylan to show up

favorite headcanon: wesper and kuwei become friends after crooked kingdom! maybe three or four years after CK, they bump into each other again and at first it’s an awkward Haha glad to see you’re not dead because last time we saw each other we all almost died and also wylan threatened to push kuwei into the canal because kuwei kept hitting on his boyfriend Or Whatever Situation, but slowly over time they all become closer. it’s a chill, slowly growing friendship type of thing where one day, years later, they’ve just naturally become true friends who can confide and trust in one another. idk the details, i just think they should be friends!!!! they’re invited to each others’ weddings. ALSO give him earrings. he’s a hot bitch who deserves earrings

38. The time you normally go to sleep? pre-quarantine was like 10:30PM since i had to wake up at 5 to get ready in time for my mom to drop me off at the bus stop for my 8AM classes but quarantine bedtime is more like 1AM now

HENRY

It’s been years since I’ve gotten consistently decent sleep. Every now and again I can catch a wink or two, but most nights I survive off of coffee and maybe four hours of sleep. I know it’s unhealthy, but I can stop at any time. It’s just anxiety and probably ADHD, not insomnia or anything serious.

Emma’s been getting on my ass about sleeping lately because I’ve been quite... distant in class. I decided I would humor her and go to sleep at a decent time, but honestly I don’t think it’ll do much good for me. When I do sleep long enough to dream, I have nightmares. Sleeping just isn’t something I need to do. Not really anyways.

Regardless, here I am, lying in bed, trying to sleep. It’s about three am, and I’m still awake. Maybe I do have insomnia. So I take some NyQuil and lie down again, much more comfortable than before, and I find myself drifting off in no time.

Only I wake up again. In my college dorm. For a moment I’m very confused because I look down at myself at see a binder and my pre-T body. I inhale sharply thinking that it was all a dream, I’m not a professor, I haven’t transitioned fully, I don’t have friends or happiness or anything. I’m back in college and completely closeted to everyone except... Greg. And Steve. And Stu. And Mark. And Leighton. But not Chad.

I remember that I was planning to come out to him today. So I get out of bed and get dressed—he really thinks I’m just a tomboy, living in the boys’ dorms and dressing like a guy and acting like one. God is he clueless—and make my way to him dorm.

He answers the door shirtless and scans me up and down, a cute little smirk on his face. I see Mark and Leighton in the corner of the room, playing some board game, and they both give me a thumbs up. I smile and exhale. I can do this.

“Hey, Chad, can we talk?”

“Uh-oh, that sounds scary.” He laughs.

“No, not scary. Just important. Let’s go inside.”

We sit on the bed and I feel a rock settle in my stomach. This is Chad, I think. He loves me. He won’t react badly. I mean, it’s 2008, the world is a little more accepting now.

“What’s up Hayley?”

“Actually,” I gulp. I watch as Mark and Leighton discreetly leave the room. I wish they wouldn’t go. “My name is Henry.”

“What? Like a dude?” He laughs a bit. “C’mon, Hayley, that’s d*key.”

“No, it’s not. Because I’m not a girl, Chad. The guys already know and—“

“And they didn’t tell me?” Chad yells and stands up. “This all makes sense now. You’re a fucking tranny. God am I a dumbass. Get the fuck out of my room.”

“Chad, babe—“ I stand, but he slaps me and I fall to the bed.

“You know you’re just a confused little girl right? I never should have gotten mixed up with a freshman. I should’ve fucking known.” He grabs my arm and throws me towards the door. I land on my arm and hear a sickening crack. “Get the fuck out.”

“I—“

“Out!” Chad barrels towards me, but before he reaches me, I shoot up in bed, heaving and sweating, tears running down my face.

This is why I don’t sleep.

I check the time—4:52—and figure I can go to the coffee shop. They open in 8 minutes anyways. Emma should be working. It’ll be nice to see her.

It’s strange. I never have nightmares about the Apotheosis or the accident or familial deaths. It’s always about Chad. Sometimes he inches his way into my mind, so slowly that I barely notice, and before I know it, I’m missing him. No, not him, I’m missing the feeling of happiness he gave me. The happiness was always fleeting though, especially as he would always say things that put me down. Made me feel like shit.

I try not to think about him now.

When I get to Beanie’s, it’s 5:12 and I’m shaking like a small, annoying dog. I probably look manic, and honestly I feel as if I am. I’m just glad I’m not dreaming anymore, or maybe I am, because my nightmare felt terribly real.

I order quickly from Emma, but she notices something is wrong. She grabs my hand and calls me Henry—she knows it grounds me—and I try to meet her eyes but I can’t.

“I couldn’t sleep, Emma. I tried to sleep, but I couldn’t. I’ll see you in class,” I try to turn around but her grip on my hand is tight.

“Henry. Stay here. I know you don’t have class until 10. I’ll be here. Just sit on your laptop and try to calm down. Coffee’s on the house today.” I open my mouth to protest but she beats me to it. “No ifs, ands, or buts.”

“Fine,” I grumble. That’s something I like about myself. My voice. Like velvetine, Ted once told me.

“Henry?” Speak of the devil. “I haven’t seen you since—“

“The Apotheosis?” I deadpan. Ted takes a seat across from me, and as much as I hate to admit it, he calms me down. He’s not like Chad. Not at all. Chad was sweet and sour and transphobic. Ted is an asshole with a secret soft side, a sex addiction, and an open mind.

“I’ve missed you,” he says honestly.

“You could have visited.”

“Well, I just, yknow—“

“Was over it?” I say bitterly.

Ted kind of left me high and dry. Once we were saved, we had to move out of Hatchetfield until it was clear. Most of us moved back, save Bill and his family. Charlotte moved too, to god knows where. Emma is finishing up college here, and then she and Paul are starting a pot farm in Colorado. I’m proud of her.

After we moved back, Ted just kind of dropped me. And I still don’t know why. Sure, we were never “official”—it always felt childish to label our relationship seeing as we were both middle aged men—but we sure as hell weren’t just a fling. Or maybe we were, and I was getting mixed signals. I never got over it, I just tried to forget it. I never go where he tends to go, and I never want to sleep in my old room because the sheets still smell like him.

Another reason I can’t sleep much.

“No, no no no no, I just—I-I don’t know.” Ted doesn’t stutter. “I don’t know, Henry. I was—“

“Why are you here so early? I always come here around this time to—“ avoid you. “—get a head start and you’re never here.”

“Couldn’t sleep.”

“Me either.”

It’s quiet for a moment.

“I’m sorry.” He’s earnest.

“Okay.” I’m not.

Ted’s gaze holds mine for awhile before I have to look away. I know I’m blushing because he’s smirking to himself thinking that he’s still got me wrapped around his finger. And he does. It’s bullshit. Maybe it’s because I’m so isolated and I’m just clinging to him out of touch deprivation and loneliness, but part of me feels like I would be clinging to him regardless. I’m not clingy, either.

“I was scared, okay?” He sighs. I don’t say anything, prompting him to continue. Scared of what, dumbass? I’m a walking fortress of safety. “Weirdly enough I didn’t want to lose you, so I pushed you away. I was afraid what we had was a heat of the moment thing. Like, we’re going to die! Might as well hook up with this dude. I’ve since realized how idiotic I am. But I never said anything because... you’re kind of hard to track down, yknow? And I thought showing up to your house would be too much and calling or texting would be too little, so...” he huffs. “Here we are. By chance.”

I’m not sure what he wants me to say. I’m angry at him for pulling a me and isolating himself, but I also empathize because I understand where he’s coming from. What a dumbass, though, honestly. I clung to him like a fucking koala every night and he didn’t realize how much I liked him.

“I thought the cuddling and forehead kisses kind of made it obvious it was more than a Doomsday Hookup to me,” I mumble.

“Oh.” He smiles a bit. “I’m glad—I’m glad you—I—shit. Do you wanna come over? Not to fuck, I just... I miss holding you,” he says quietly. “I really miss you Henry.”

I grab his hand. “Don’t run away again.”

“I won’t.”

i’ve done an interview for andre before, but he’s my baby so as much as he dislikes it, he’s going to answer more questions about himself lol he’s gotten a little more comfortable doing so!

What is your name?

“Andre.”

How old are you?

“Two hundred thirty-nine.” He smiles cheekily, then frowns when that doesn’t get a laugh. “Fine. I’m 29.”

What do you look like?

He blinks a couple times. “Uh, well, I’m a 6′3″ black man with lots of tattoos and locs. I need glasses, so I’ve got a couple of pairs of those in case I lose them out in the wasteland, and I’ve got a prosthetic on my right leg.”

“...It’s a long story.”

Where are you from? Where do you live now?

“I was born in Brooklyn, New York. Now, I live in a post-war, destroyed Boston. There’s... more to it than that, but, yeah.”

What was your childhood like?

He’s quiet for a few minutes, brows furrowed. “Overall, I think it was good. My dad was... kind of absent most of the time, but I don’t fault him for that. He worked a lot. My mom and I were really close, though.” He smiles at the memory of her and sniffles quietly. “I have-- had, two older sisters, and we were really close.”

What groups are you friendly with? Are you allied with any factions?

“I like Preston Garvey quiet a lot. He’s a great guy,” he smiles. “Anytime the Minutemen need any help, I’m there, but being the General really isn’t my speed. Aksel does a great job at that. And I used to be a part of the Brotherhood of Steel, but well, let’s just say that didn’t really work out when their “leader” tried to kill one of their best men and my partner,” he frowns.

Tell me about your best friend.

“Danse and I are really close, I definitely consider him my best friend, but realistically... He’s a lot more than that to me. I could talk about Danse for hours,” he smiles, looking down nervously. “But, uh, the only other person that means that much to me is Preston. He’s always there to listen when I need him, but also when Danse needs him. I can’t ask anymore than that, really.”

Do you have a family? Tell me about them!

He looks away and blinks a few times, taking a deep breath. “I uh, I have more of a found family now. Danse is the one I’m closest to, obviously, but beyond that, Preston, Sturges, and Curie are great friends. Oh, and Dogmeat. Such a good dog.”

What about a partner or partners? 

He smiles softly. “I’m still in love with Lily, my wife. I think I always will be, but she wouldn’t want me to be alone, and I think she’d like Danse quite a lot. They both have a lot in common, like putting up with my bullshit,” he laughs softly.

Who are your enemies, and why?

“Probably the same as anyone in the Commonwealth; raiders, Gunners, the Institute... and the Brotherhood, but that’s more of a personal one.”

Have you ever heard of The Brotherhood of Steel? What do you think about them?

He rolls his eyes and leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. “God, next question please.”

“Hmm, no, never have.”

How do you feel about Super Mutants?

“On one hand I feel kinda bad because they were experimented on against their will, therefore the way they are isn’t really their fault? On the other, they try to kill me on an almost daily basis, so... Not a fan.”

What’s the craziest fight you’ve ever been in?

“Oh man, where do I start?” he chuckles and adjusts how he’s sitting to get comfortable. “There was this one time when Danse and I were down in Quincy and we were taking out all the Gunners that took over, right? I can laugh now because it’s been a couple months, but at the time Danse and I got cornered behind a barrier they had set up. I only had a few magazines of ammo left and a couple frags, so I threw a grenade over the barrier and I shit you not, one of the fucker’s legs shot up into the air and landed right in front of us,” he laughs, running his hands through his locs. “Danse and I looked at it for a second, but couldn’t really react because we still had a bunch of Gunners to take out, y’know? Anyway, we found an abandoned house and camped there for the night and laughed about it over a couple of beers, it was great.”

Have you ever fought a Deathclaw?

“Yeah, that’s how I got the scar on my forehead. I was out of commission for a couple of months after that.”

Do you like fighting?

“Not at all. I do it because I have to, but it’s fucking exhausting and really dangerous.”

What’s your weapon of choice?

“My sniper rifle. I’ve had it since my army days and I’ve been modifying it since. It’s a... little different now,” he chuckles.

“I like to think charm has something to do with it? Maybe it’s intimidation, but it gets the job done. And skills.”

“They’re in Nuka World, but I fucking hate the crickets there.” He shivers and frowns. “Blegh.”

How do you feel about robots?

“I like Mr. Handys and Protectrons best. They just try and help most of the time. Plus, Codsworth is a great friend of mine.”

How many caps do you have on you right now?

“Around... 450? I don’t really spend my money much. Never know when you might need it, y’know? I have more at my home base, though.”

1. what is your favorite season from the game? the first time i played with seasons was like 3 months ago in ts2 so i’m not sure, but i think i liked summer or autumn? i just like when it rains in game

2. from what you’ve seen in the trailer, what are you most excited about? i’m most excited for actually exploring seasons and playing with them, my ts2 seasons experience was a bit short-lived

20. what’s your favourite thing to do in the sims? creating sims, building, etc? it changes! lately it’s been improving and adjusting (sims, houses, anything), instead of starting from scratch (i redid fig and nut’s study/office yesterday)

      hello everyone! i’m tyce and i’ll be playing reece here. i haven’t been in an rp for a little while so apologies if it takes a little time for me to get into the groove. i’m excited to meet and plot with you all though! some things about reece under the cut. honestly it’s just a bunch of hockey history but oh well.

REECE WOERNER is a 23 year old AMBIVALENT MALE that was born on JULY 29th. HE lives in MANHATTAN, but they’re originally from ELY, NEVADA, USA. They are a DEFENSEMAN FOR THE NYR for a living, and often get told they look like COLTON HAYNES. We wish them the best of luck in the city that never sleeps! (TYCE, 20, EST, THEY/THEM)

HISTORY

-- reece woerner was born in ely, nevada, but that’s hardly where he grew up. born to NHL player michael woerner ultimately turned coach in the WHL by 16 reece had attended nine different schools and played for numerous teams. home, if you ask reece woerner, is knowing nothing is certain but constant movement and in that moment, having the constant of hockey.

-- at sixteen, he was a walk-to the US national development team, and so home became ann arbor, michigan. those two years would be something like a CONSTANT for him, a certain sense of stability the turbulence of his childhood seemed to lack.

-- at seventeen, he accelerated his graduation after his junior year at the request of the university of michigan -- ann arbor, electing to go straight into the ncaa. his finished his freshman season with 20 pts ( 4 G, 16 A ) in 37 games. that summer in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected 24th overall by the Vancouver Canucks.

-- he returned to ann arbor his sophomore year stronger, faster and raised his point totals to 24 pts ( 6 G, 18 A ) in 36 games. upon finishing his sophomore year, he elected to sign his ELC with the vancouver canucks, playing 7 games with their farm team the utica coments on a pto earning no points.

-- he would send the next season ( ‘15 - ‘16 ) with utica as well, earning 24 pts ( 5 g, 19 a ) in 72 games. the following year, he pushed to make the team out of camp but was ultimately sent back down to utica, though he was one of the last to be. he then received a 32 game call up at the end of the season only posting 1 goal and 4 assists.

-- though not quite considered a bust, reece struggled with expectations and knew he could produce better. he also felt pigeon-holed with the canucks’ methods of development and their plan for him. as an offensive skating defenseman, their model they were coaching was not fit for him.

-- it was almost a relief on july 24th, when he was packaged in part of a deal that would send him to the rangers. reece attacked his off-season regiment with new vigor, desperate to prove himself to his new team and to himself. the nhl was the ultimate goal and he was going to achieve it.

-- he made a strong showing in development camp as well as in the traverse city tournament and pre-season. ultimately, he was sent down to the hartford wolf pack, again one of the last to be so. however, this time, he only spent a mere 11 games in hartford before getting a call up and never going back down.

-- ‘17-’18 would be a season of strong development for him, paired with a more defensive defenseman allowed for reece to use his speed and skill to be more offensive, him and his pair working well off each other. he would finish the season with 27 pts ( 5 g, 22 a ) in 62 games.

-- though they did not make playoffs, reece felt as if he had found himself once again and attacked his off-season all the more focused and intent on growing his game. he plans to secure a spot on the team this year.

MISC

-- REPORT:  utilizes strong skating and poise on the ice to be one of the more dependable players ; skating, offensive defenseman with an eye for gap control who uses speed to jump up in a rush as well as return to defend ; versatile enough to quarterback a powerplay if necessary, effective on the penalty kill

-- the PENALTY KILL is reece’s father’s specialty so he’s received plenty of coaching on it and is almost a specialist on it. that being said, his offensive talent and eye allow him to step into the power play in case of injury or illness.

-- reece is a valuable source of positive energy in the locker room -- he’s steady in his presence and understands his place. he is thankful to the rangers for welcoming him into their fold and for allowing him to blossom so quickly. he only hopes for that to continue.

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS: reece has been pretty much Everywhere in his childhood until he was 16. i would love some muses he knows from a long time ago and oh how things have now changed.

did you know i’m actually really bad at making wanted connections? honestly, reece is a pretty friendly, easy-going guy. he’ll be friends with anyone?? as long as you’re chill too.

this is more or less a post for my own reference bc i tend to forget things rlly easily... and i really don’t want to forget this weekend!! sorry if this is unreadable.. like i said, it’s mainly for my own reference ghfjdksn

friday convention: pretty uneventful seeing as it’s only the first day... me n my friend lined up to try for the w1 hitouch but we were told to come back at 2pm. we had heize’s audience engagement to go to at that time, so we just ended up buying w1 banners and nametags anyways bc tbh.. we didn’t have a chance at winning LOL.. (i heard fansites bought all the merch tho? so at least we got our stuff before that madness). a lot of people were selling their heize passes, so the rest of our party bought them to go in and honestly.. it’s a loss for the people who sold them !! heize is one of the sweetest n down to earth people i’ve ever met/seen... someone in the hi-touch area got her an olaf backpack and she was so excited!! she also said she really liked the vibe of la and that more people showed up than she expected (which broke my heart HJKDS). she also describes herself as a “srapper/ringer” bc she says she likes both singing and rapping... im gna fast forward to the cosmic girls audience engagement which was.. life changing tbh.. they’re all so pretty and cute irl, but bona couldn’t make it for some reason :( yeonjung sang miracle + secret, dawon did eunseo’s “hing~”, and meiqi did luda’s “mollah-ah”. they were also asked who they wanted to switch bodies with and from what i can remember, dayoung wanted to switch bodies with dawon (bc in her words, dawon is “hot, tall, and sexy” HJFSHLJ), and luda wanted to switch bodies with seola (bc she’s really pretty.. and i agree!! all of them are!!!) cheng xiao is my bias but unfortunately she didn’t say much..... also every idol whose never been to la wants in n out but i don’t blame them, it’s good!! i didn’t have that great of a view either bc the people in front of me were already tall + they were against the barrier which adds another inch or so to their height.. but overall it was a cute n fun audience engagement!! we went home afterwards bc there was nothing else left to do..

saturday convention: we went early bc my friend had sf9′s audience engagement so while we waited for her to finish that, me n the rest of the party just went around the convention hall and got free stuff :’)) when she came back, we went to juncurryahn’s meet and greet. he’s rly nice and talented, but i don’t watch his videos so i didn’t know what was going on majority of the time... afterwards we were going to get food and i was going to line up for seventeen’s audience engagement, but on the way out i saw people already lining up outside? when i asked what was going on, a guard told me to wait in the indoor waiting area but when i went there, vixx’s audience engagement hadn’t gone in yet. i asked the woman scanning bracelets but she told me to go outside. when i told her the situation, she then said i could stay inside. thirty minutes later, more people came in and started complaining so she told us all to.. go back outside lmfao... when i headed back outside the guard said the waiting area was full, so i’d just have to sit around until they started letting people line up again... i did meet a few more carats in line tho so i guess? it’s fine.. i also got a mingyu fan from one of his fansites, like u! it was super hectic inside bc a lot of people were crowding me and i was getting anxious, but the carats i met in line were nice enough to check up on me every few minutes to make sure i was okay... and seeing seventeen..... made my heart stop.... i couldn’t get a good view bc 1) im short and 2) people brought posters and constantly held them up whenever their biases talked.. it was a good experience but the only thing that bothered me was people screaming whenever a member tried to talk... i’d hate to be biased but seeing dino in the same room as me was the most memorable.. like he actually glows irl and he’s so handsome and pictures don’t do him justice!!!!!!! also junhui? ethereal. he can’t exist like.. he’s too handsome. they then played a dice game where each number means they have to do a certain thing.. dino got freestyle dance (how fitting...), seungkwan and wonwoo got fav pop song (when we were young + see you again, respectively), jeonghan and joshua both got aegyo, dk got random dance (and he threw the dice inflatable into the crowd and.. mightve hit someone ? idk i only heard him apologizing!!), and mingyu got sexy dance (hgfjdkl it was funny bc he started off fine but got rlly awkward n shy). everyone and their mothers are hip hop team stans btw... after that i left to go find my friends at the mwave stage, where they were doing signed album giveaways. oh my girl was having a fansign at star square in thirty minutes and i happened to be near the barrier where they walked by... in the midst of waiting for oh my girl to come out, my friend’s number was called for an album and he got the night version of astro’s dream pt 01 signed by all members!! literally 3 minutes later oh my girl came out and??????? they’re so pretty i was FLOORED.. i could only get a good look at jiho’s face before a guard stepped in front of me tho.. but i did see all the other member’s side profiles and? i love girls. wow. once that was over, we went to go get food and line up for the concert when the friend who won the album said he didn’t listen to astro.. and he gave it to me....... i started crying

saturday concert: HJFKDSLHJFK IT WAS WILD TBH!! the pre show was really good w/ juncurryahn playing crush’s beautiful on the violin and dancing to not today.. then it was krnfx and he beatboxed a few songs.. also lydia paek joined him for bs&t which was cool!! the first mc’s for the night were scoups, joshua, and vernon and i kind of.. lost my shit HJKDSLHJFK.... i don’t rmr the exact order but i do know that sf9 was the first act and they performed fanfare, jungle game, and easy love. also when they did the whole robot acrobatics thing in jungle game? my face was like :O the whole time!!!! chani looked like a cute lil pumpkin and zuho... is spicy... after that was cosmic girls and I LOVE!!!! THOSE SPACE ANGELS!!!! SOO MUCH!!!!! they performed happy, i wish, and secret (though i really wanted them to perform miracle...) i’m not a big fan of girl’s day but they’re sooo beautiful and they performed i’ll be yours, something. and ring my bell.. i knew nothing about suju d&e but they did 3 songs! the only song i can recall the name of is oppa oppa, which is really catchy... vixx’s act was really good!! they performed shangri-la, black out, and fantasy, but i was thinking about haknyeon and ravi’s lil head twirl part the whole time ghjdfkl.... vixx had a thing called ‘pinata time’ and got photo session, and they made cute poses around the stage so fans could take pictures of them. seventeen was the last act and ................ it was life changing, truly... they performed don’t wanna cry and I STARTED CRYING BC I LOVE THOSE BOYS SO MUCH AND WORDS CAN’T DESCRIBE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO ME AND HOW MUCH THEY’VE DONE FOR ME.... they had a pinata time and got everyone in the venue to dance to mansae which made me tear up again... they shot signed tshirts into the crowd in reserved seating!! mingyu + jun + woozi had to share a gun and after they shot one shirt, mingyu was trying to put the other shirt in and almost broke the gun HJFKLHJSDK... jun was interacting w/ the crowd all while woozi n mingyu were trying to figure it out.. like he was just shrugging and being his cute bubbly self.. eventually a staffer had to come up and help them lmao.. they also performed boom boom and aju nice which put me in the happiest mood!! i wanted them to perform pretty u which is like.. my fav song.. but i would have started UGLY CRYING so i’m glad they didn’t... somewhere in between cosmic girls invented the song i need u and sf9 covered sorry sorry... both groups danced together for the last chorus or so for sorry sorry..... also all of svt’s units performed a song! performance team did swimming fool, vocal did habit, and hip hop did check in. but saturday’s concert was amazing and seventeen.. really did change my life..... i also hope hoshi is feeling better !!!

sunday convention: got lost on the freeway and we all started freaking out bc we thought we’d miss wanna one at the innisfree booth. fortunately we made it in time, but the booth was already packed and there were people pushing and shoving. the security was really rude and told people near the back “if you cant see anything you’re wasting your time, what are you doing with your lives??” though i get he was doing his jobs.. there’s better ways to just tell us to back up lmao... i also i stood next to a baejin fansite (cheese bae) and they gave me a banner! my friend and i got claustrophobic and left, but i’m glad i did bc the people in front of me were a good 7 inches taller than me and when wanna one showed, the pushing got so bad that kcon threatened to end the session. the rest of the party stayed and said that they were only there for 5 minutes and that they looked visibly upset (understandable bc of the whole airport incident. i don’t blame them if they hate la lmao). they did get a blurry video of baejin and daniel tho so.. they airdropped that to me. we did pretty much everything the convention hall had to offer and no workshops/panels really interested us so we just hung around the toyota booth for astro... there i got a sanha fan from a fansite, but their name isn’t on the fan so i can’t find them :(... kard was said to make an appearance at the state farm booth right next to the toyota one, so it got crowded and my friend and i left. we just sat in the entrance hall near an outlet until astro came out, and we stood near the elevator so we could see them walk out... sanha is unbelievably tall. like.... what’s he so tall for. why. also while waiting i got a taeyong banner from leetaeyongbar! we then decided to go back inside to hopefully see wanna one at star square, so we went to the area where we stood for oh my girl. luckily not a lot of people cared to stand in the back so we got right up by the barrier. i also talked to a wannable and she was rlly sweet!! i mentioned getting anxious abt crowds of people against me and she also made sure i was okay, which is nice.. also a fansite stood behind me and i told her that if i was in the way, she could just let me know.. i dont know which fansite she is but she was nice n was thankful!!! wanna one came out and i only got a good look at guanlin (who is tall, but not sanha tall) before staff stood in front of me.. after they walked by a bunch of people left so i got closer and waited for them to come out... i’m glad i stayed bc i actually saw them walk out... and jisung!!!!!!!! waved!!!!!! in our direction!!!!!!!!!!!! my heart almost burst out of my chest bc he’s so handsome irl and he’s so cute and he looked really happy... after that we left to line up for the concert

sunday concert: sunday’s crowd was a lot bigger than saturday’s, and i’m pretty sure everyone there was a got7 stan... while in line i saw papa tuan (mainly bc he was dressed as their lightstick, which was cute)!!! inside the venue, the girl sitting next to me as also an aroha so we talked abt astro while we waited for the concert to start!! the preshow was a band called iamnot (correct me if i’m wrong, i couldn’t read their logo ghjfdk) and they were really good.. i liked their act a lot!!! the night’s hosts were mark and jackson, and they did a good job hyping up the crowd (tho everyone in there was a got7 stan so.. who wouldn’t be hyped lol). when they were calling up all the artists, heize brought the olaf backpack on with her and my heart!!!!! exploded w love for my mother!!!!!! once again i don’t remember the exact order, but i do know that the first act was kard, who performed don’t recall, hola hola, and oh nana. we also sang happy birthday to somin who teared up :’)). also j.seph is super cute n shy........ heize performed don’t know you. after a small ment, a sign asked us to turn on our phone flashlights... the music for star started and heize started to cry bc of all of the lights hjgfdklhg :( she only performed two songs... oh my girl performed coloring book and closer, and yooa is sosososo pretty!!! arin is super cute too!!! also binnie doesn’t have bangs anymore and my heart almost stopped!!! my robong DIED during coloring book bc me, being the fool i am, reused batteries from my carat bong... the aroha next to me gave me her spare batteries which was so nice of her... but then her robong died during closer so i gave back the batteries bc i knew astro as her ult, n she needed those batteries more than me LOL.. when wanna one performed, the girl saw me with my banner and she asked to record for me and i’m so grateful!!! they performed energetic and burn it up, and i think me and my friend got on the screen for like 2 seconds HJKDLSHJGKL... astro did a collab with kim taewoo and they did so well!! the dance was super energetic but their voices still sounded so good!!! kim taewoo then performed and his voice was really nice.. i can’t recall the song names but i believe his last song was love rain? astro performed should’ve held on, breathless (with a transition into polaris), and baby!! sanha was soo cute during the ment :(( they also had a pinata time and made tshirts to throw to those in the pit. they also had tshirt guns and shot those to the reserved seats... also i recorded the performance for the aroha next to me in exchange for the w1 videos... nct’s stage was.. so hype.... they performed firetruck, limitless, and cherry bomb!! some of the mics weren’t working during the ment so mark leaned over to let taeil use his in-ear mic and everyone in the venue went wild... also sicheng’s self intro was “my name is winwin!!! today.. we winwin!!!!!!!!” HJFKSLHJSF HE’S SO CUTE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I’LL FOREVER BE SICHENGSGIRL NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CHANGE MY URL.... once again, the aroha next to me recorded nct for me and i later recorded got7 for her.. jj project performed, and they did never ever, hard carry, and?? correct me if i’m wrong but confession song?? idk.. they had a pinata time as well and a lucky fan got proposed to by three members, who i think were bambam, jaebum, and jackson. somewhere in between, wanna one came out again in navy colored school uniforms and perfomed never and nayana.. and i teared up during the latter... after the concert was over, me n the aroha airdropped each other the videos... i never got her name but she was super sweet and im glad i got to sit next to someone who didn’t consider my screaming obnoxious (she apologized for screaming during astro and got7 but.. we get each other LOL)

overall i’m so happy that i saw 6/6 of the groups i stan at my very first kcon!!! it’s rlly a memory i want to keep forever.. but i probably won’t go again in a long time (unless ofc.... wanna one or seventeen decide to come again :’))) )

tarris, relic, kharza gra-durza, serindil, riandil, vhesryn, saaji and zhakka are all from elder scrolls!! 

tarris is a bosmer thief/assassin who’s actually real bad at fighting and is probably half magpie, don’t wear jewelery near her she will Have It

relic is a bosmer vampire who is an asshole. he’s awful. he knows magic but mostly likes to Stab. he exists in the same world-state as tarris and kharza and probably a few others 

kharza is an orc warrior who’s like the only lawful good character i have, whoops. she sometimes turns into a werewolf and mauls people but that’s a minor character flaw. she’s a big gay

serindil is an altmer mage!! very very much a glass cannon. they were with the thalmor embassy in skyrim until they... sort of defected?? they’re still an ass tho

riandil is a bosmer scout!! he’s from eso so i’m not sure exactly how he fits into the world state, but he’s a big ball of sunshine. he likes very very bad puns and responding to altmer supremacy by acting real stupid until THEY look stupid. he’s great

vhesryn is a dunmer assassin but he’s also a big ol’ dick. he’s a vampire too but mostly a dick. his hobbies include being an asshole and stabbing people, also dancing

saaji is a khajiit thief and very pure good person. she;s good. she’ll steal your things but she’s good she’ll prolly give em back. really just wants a warm spot in the sun, very very tired of almer

zhakka is a redguard warrior and former pirate!! i love her. she scowls a lot and looks grumpy but she’s grinning inside just all the time. you know those people who say the most ridiculous funny shit with a totally stoic face?? that’s zhakka

spring washington is Soft. she’s a soft soft person. she likes plants and photography, but also she was her school’s boxing champion pre-war and won trophies for shooting, and likes to keep a switchblade on her at all times. met her husband when he had to drag her off some creep. she just wants to make the world a bit brighter!!

zarifa is the captain of an as-yet unnamed ship, and a totally legitimate merchant sailor. no pirates here absolutely not haha what’s that officer nope no illegitimate goods either, trust her. she’s got a good heart but also she’s pretty practical, and ensuring her own survival and the survival of her crew trumps morals every time. she’s the “chosen” of the god of the sea, which is an incredibly mixed bag

Reason for Name: Claude was named after his grandfather, a man he would never get to meet. He was often told stories of how he was kind and loving and how, as he grew, Claude would grow to look like him too.

Marc Olivier Frollo (father): Claude remebers very little of his father, his death happened so long ago. What he does remember he holds onto dearly, for it is the love he rememered his father having for him that he keeps selfishly for himself. He has fragmentary memories of helping his father on their quaint little farm, the French countryside rolling around him. He remebers gentle hands and a humble smile, dirt-caked fingernails and a deep, soothing voice...though he knows very little of him, Claude mises what he remebers. Amélie Frollo ( neé Duchesneau) (mother): What Claude remenbers of his mother is a sweet voice and soft hands, a warm home and a full table. Though they were not the most well-off Amélie always made sure her son had food in his belly. Laurent (ward of): Claude’s meories of Laurent are the ones that overrid everything else. The man was a walking demon in Claude’s life, a gaping hole so wide that left him paralized with fear, regret, and so much anger he could choke on it. It was because of this man that Claude’s life had been so altered and it largely because of him that the priest found himself in Swynlake in the first place.

Happiest memory: Playing with the family dog in the hills just outside the family farm.

Childhood trauma: Laurent’s physical, mental, and sexual abuse.

Distinguishing facial features: Claude has his mother’s eyes, or so he has been told. They are a striking blue and stand out rather starkly against his fair complexion.

Style of dress/typical outfit(s): When he isn’t wearing his priest’s garb, Claude can be found rather casual in jeans, t-shirts, and sweaters. He prefers comfort over extravagance unless it is absolutely required of him. 

Typical style of shoes: Nice dress shoes when preaching but otherwise he can be found barefoot (at home) or in tennis shoes/boots, depending on the weather. 

Health (is this person usually sick? or very resilient?): Claude was a rather sickly child. Perhaps this was due to a natural disposition (as many believed) but the boy knew it was primarily because of the magic that weakened his immune system. Under Laurent’s “care” it was primarily due to the neglect and abuse that he was subjected to. However, as an adult, Claude rarely gets sick, as long as he sleeps and eats enough.

Grooming (does she/he wear makeup? shower daily? wear only clean clothes? pluck his/her eyebrows?): Claude has to keep up an appearance of cool, calm and collected so he is incredibly meticulous about his grooming habits. Part of this is his constant need to please, which stems primarily from the abuse he sustained at the hands of Laurent. Being belittled, struck, or starved when he was not in complete compliance with the deacon left an impression. In all of this, to say Claude doesn’t mind being dirty is an understatement. Occasionally, he can be found elbow deep in dirt out back and not care. Occasionally, he lets himself sleep in and not worry about the fact that he has to have perfectly quaffed hair and a collar buttoned up all the way to his chin. 

Jewelry? Tattoos? Piercings?: HAHAHAA yes ok so he has them. Two very large ones in fact. A chest tattoo, that extends over his right shoulder to about his elbow, of an angel. She looks down and her wings are folded behind her. Though many assume it to be just a religious symbol it is also more than that, personal. The angel is meant to represent his mother. It was done in an act of defiance while he was in law school. His second, though smaller, resembles a mix of this picture: the cross on his left forearm, twisted around with thorns and an olive branch running up the “stem” of the cross. That one is more just because he liked it. And he used to have a piercing but he took that out after passing the bar, though he’s considered putting it back. 

Accent?: Super French. I kinda imagine this but softer? Idk he’s adorable love him

Unique mannerisms/physical habits: When he’s nervous or unsure, Claude tends to rub the back of his head or neck or, occasionally, his throat. It is not so much a comfort thing as it is a habit. When he’s thinking he chews on his bottom lip or whistles between his front teeth.

Athletic: Uh he exercises if that’s what you’re asking? Occasionally he will play games with the children after church. 

INTELLECT:

Level of education: A bachelor’s degree in pre-law (or whatever the equivalent of this is in France). He also passed the (French equivalent) of the bar exam and is technically a lawyer alongside his seminary schooling that was done.

Level of self-esteem: Claude is much more confident than he was in France. Though he won’t say it, I equate it to the absence of Laurent in his life. However, he is still pretty soft-spoken and can doubt his motives, opinions, or ideas when he is feeling down. 

Gifts/talents: Claude is a gifted orator and people flock to him to listen to what he has to say, despite the fact that he often does not go looking for this. He is also rather adept at playing the organ (cathedral organs ftw) and that translates over to knowing how to play the piano relatively well, too, though that took more practice bc it is different.

Shortcomings: Claude is incredibly hard on himself. Again, this stems from Laurent the demon deacon.

Style of speech (loud, mumbler, articulate, etc.): Claude’s words are pretty easy to understand because he has to speak clearly and concisely for both of his professions. His accent is light but not too bad.

Most comfortable around (person): He is most comfortable around those he sees on a day-to-day basis (like his congregation) though perhaps two of the people he was/is most comfortable around are Jim Grant, Annette’s father, who has recently passed, and Roscoe Sykes. FOR WHATEVER REASON he is incredibly fond of the man and it is lowkey adorable hilarious. I can’t wait to see what Lauren and I can do with that.

SECRETS:

Life goals: Claude wants to be a good man, he does. But he also has his secrets and he has to get by them. He is a sinful man and, for a priest, that is not a good thing. I also want him to be comfortable using his degree as a lawyer to bail out Roscoe from jail probs his advantage/as another career option. 

Dreams: Claude has always wished to own property out in the countryside. He enjoys the quiet and the solitude. He had always dreamed of buying his family property back from the church but that has yet to happen and may never because he doesn’t dare show his face in France again, not after Laurent.

Greatest fears: Someone digging Laurent out of his past. Or, better yet, Laurent not being dead. 

Most ashamed of: Not being strong enough to stop the things Laurent did.

Compulsions: Claude occasionally has urges to harm people, irrationally, or to try on feminine articles of clothing. This is attributed to his personalities ghosting over into his dominant persona. 

Obsessions: Claude himself is not obsessed with anything but Arnaud is obsessed with the Romani dancer from France and anyone who looks like them.

Secret hobbies: Claude enjoys hiking and rock climbing and if he could do them often he would. 

Secret skills: He can tie the stem of a cherry with his tongue haha ok ok seriously ummmm I think he can whittle. Or he used to draw. He didn’t have much free time outside of the church as a kid so he learned to do things.

Crimes committed (and was he/she caught? charged?): Technically Claude murdered Laurent but he doesn’t remember doing it, just finding him, but he can put two and two together. He suspects that much of the old congregation may have caught on so he could technically be a wanted man rn. 

What he/she most wants to change about his/her current life: He has waffled back and forth about whether or not to use his law degree or not. 

What he/she most wants to change about his/her physical appearance: He actually would not? He likes how he looks. Maybe put his earring back in?

With all I’ve had going on lately (overnight horse show + beach + catching up at work after taking time off for those two things), I need to post an update on some smaller items.

I think I’ve casually mentioned a couple of times over the summer that I’ve been working on losing weight/working out/becoming healthier. Back in June I started a fairly intense weight loss/exercise program at our local rec center. It was free if you qualified (residence and BMI requirements pretty much) and included two trainer led group workouts on Monday/Wednesday, a nutrition class on Tuesday, and we were required to do at least one hour of exercise on our own in the center.

I ended up making myself do an hour of extra exercise almost every day that we didn’t have class (so basically Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) instead of just an hour a week. This means that I didn’t get much riding in this summer, but honestly, it was worth it. My idea of an hour of exercise equals an hour on the treadmill at 3mph with the incline set up enough to feel the burn…while watching Reign on Netflix to distract myself from said burn. It worked. I started out being wore out after one mile, and ended the program easily completing 3.1 (or a 5K, I’ve learned haha) at various incline levels.

To date, I’ve lost 30 pounds since June and several inches (though only .5 off of my calves…never gonna be able to do off the shelf tall boots…lol). I can actually comfortably wear and REMOVE my wedding band and my engagement ring for the first time in 4 years or so. I haven’t worn them for over a year until this month, so that was an accomplishment. All of my clothes are loose…even some stretchy “skinny” jeans that I used to love. Luckily I’m a hoarder and held onto all of my clothes while I gained all of this weight, so I have an entire wardrobe of outfits ready for the way back down the sizes.

Ate a ton of these this summer, dreading my plants dying.

On the health side of the weight loss, my a1c dropped from the beginning of pre-diabetic, 5.7, to a more healthy 5.2. The program included free bloodwork at the beginning and end to accurately track your progress, which was super neat. All of my other numbers dropped slightly as well, but that one is the most dramatic. I feel a lot better and I don’t get out of breath from walking up steps anymore, which is also a great thing. My BMI dropped from 38 to 33. The program was also a competition, and I won second place for most weight lost. My next door neighbor beat me by 3 or 4 pounds for first place.

As an aside, my handsome husband has lost 90 lbs since last year. He was much earlier to the get healthy game than I was and his support (and pro level cooking) is why I was so successful this summer.

As far as goal weights go, I’m kind of meh. I’d really like to not be classified as obese, so that would mean getting down to around the 180 range, which is my first of 2018 goal. It does seem that the weight isn’t shedding as easily now that the program is over and I’m working out solo, so that might not be as attainable as I’d like it to be. I don’t want to weigh what I weighed when Jason and I started dating-I feel like I looked too thin at 140. I think my ideal weight (in my head at this point) would be a more fit 160ish. I’m honestly not upset with how I look now at 206, but the psychological side of being over 200 lbs is frustrating.

We also had 5 year anniversary pictures taken on the farm. 🙂 

That being said, I’m not super great at setting goals. I feel like, especially with horse goals, you’re almost asking for something to go wrong to derail your progress, hence why I didn’t establish any this year. I think in hindsight they would’ve been something like:

  My last random fun thing to mention is that MC came back down this past weekend (I know, she can’t get enough of me lately haha) to run the Hokie Half Marathon at our alma mater. This was already planned prior to our beach trip. She brought her boyfriend, who Jason and I REALLY like, and her two dogs to stay overnight at our house. Dexter and Turbo played super well together since they are both small and young. Toby really wanted to play with Ariel, but she’s so socially awkward in the face of new people that she mostly pretended to be a pillow on the couch for the duration of the visit, as expected.

While we were at the beach I mentioned to MC that I’d like to have anniversary pictures taken of Jason and I since it was our 5 year anniversary this year and she volunteered her boyfriend to do the honors since they were coming in the next weekend. I love the pictures he got and am struggling to pic a favorite, so here are a few of them:
