You breathed a sigh of relief as you entered the gates of Jackson on your horse. You had just finished up patrol and was ready to collapse in your bed. You looked over at Dina and smiled. “Man, I’m happy to be home.”
“Me too,” Dina agreed with a laugh. “Things got too intense out there.”
“Yeah, luckily I was there to save your life.”
Dina scoffed. “Oh, shut up. I had it but of course, you had to show off.”
You hopped off your horse and led it to the stables, passing it off to the man on duty. “Here she is,” you said. “Get your rest, Ginger!”
Dina said goodbye to Japan, running to catch up with you. “Hey, I forgot to mention but Jesse said he wanted to throw a party tonight. It’ll be small, not too many people at all.”
You raised an eyebrow. “A party? Really?”
“Yeah, it’ll be fun! Jesse and his friends got some liquor and cups from Seth. Perfect timing too since everyone has the weekend off.”
“Dina,” you began. But before you could continue, Dina cut you off.
“I’m not saying you have to drink with us! I know you’re a good little Christian girl,” she joked.
You frowned. “Hey, that’s not nice.”
“Please come,” she begged. “It wouldn’t be fun without you.”
“What exactly do I bring to the table? It’s not like I can do anything,” you said.
Dina stepped in front of you and placed her hands on your arms to stop you. “Listen, just please come and stay for at least half an hour. If you want to leave, you can. I won’t stop you or try to convince you to stay. I wanna have a good time with my friends and you’re one of my favorites. Please don’t let me suffer with all of Jesse’s friends. They’re… too male, almost.”
You sighed in defeat. “Ugh, fine! I’ll go if you really want me to.”
Dina clapped her hands in excitement. “Good! Come, I have some clothes you can borrow that’ll look real nice on you.”
You groaned as Dina pulled you by your hand, taking you to her place. She couldn’t contain how happy she felt. You never came to parties with her. They were rare and usually happened once every couple of months. Usually, you wouldn’t give in to Dina’s begging. You would just go home, curl up with a book and fall asleep before the party even began. Dina would come over the next day to tell you all the “sinful” things that went on. You didn’t understand what half of the things she said even meant, you were far too sheltered growing up and focused on reading the Bible most of the time.
“Who’s all gonna be there?” you asked as you walked inside her house.
“Well, I know Jesse’s whole group of friends are coming. Then there’s you, me, and…” she trailed off, looking away. You tilted your head to try and catch her attention. She fought hard not to look your way but you still kept trying to make eye contact until she finally looked at you. “Ellie,” she almost whispered. You sneered at the mention of the Williams girl.
“Ugh, I should’ve known,” you murmured. “Of course Ellie would be there.”
“Seriously, why do you two bicker so much?” Dina asked. “It’s like watching two kids fight over a toy. Or… really, more so like watching someone yell at a puppy for no reason.”
Your face fell. “Oh no… am I the puppy Dina? Please, don’t say I’m the puppy.”
Dina bit her lip and shrugged. “I mean… your comebacks are… something else.”
“What? Are you saying I can’t be mean?”
Dina couldn’t hide the smile growing on her face as she tried not to laugh. “You once said ‘bless your heart’ and that you’d pray for her.”
You scoffed as she broke into fits of laughter. “Hey, ‘bless your heart’ is the worst insult to receive where I come from! Sorry I felt bad afterwards and told her I’d pray for her!”
“Oh, I’m just messing. It’ll be alright. I’ll tell Ellie to cool it. I honestly don’t think she means anything by it. You’re just easy to tease,” Dina said as she made way to her closet. She pulled out a black longsleeve and extremely short shorts. “Here, wear this.”
You made a face at the outfit. “Is that not a bit… much?”
“Loosen up a bit! I think it’ll look real nice on your figure. Make the girlies pop out a little,” she said with a wink.
You undressed and put the outfit Dina gave you on. She was right but left out the fact that the shorts revealed too much, your ass practically hanging out. The shirt fell just above your belly button. Dina gawked at the sight of you. “Hey, you should dress slutty more often.”
You couldn’t help but to admire yourself in the mirror. You were big on dressing as modest and comfortable as possible. You didn’t realize you had curves until now. “Wow… I think I kinda like this?”
“What can I say, I’m a genius,” bragged Dina.
-
You and Dina arrived at the party an hour later. Jesse opened the door and stopped in his tracks. Dina grinned. “I know right?”
Jesse looked you up and down then back at Dina. “Wow, I’m impressed,” he said, complimenting the both of you. “Come in.”
As you walked in, everyone stopped and stared. “Holy shit, you clean up nice!” one of the boys exclaimed. You shifted and looked down at the ground, too anxious to look at anyone. You were way out of your comfort zone but a part of you sort of enjoyed it. Your eyes wandered over to the couch where Ellie sat. She was rolling a joint, paying no mind to you.
Dina walked over to her and leaned to whisper something in her ear. You stood there, watching Ellie’s face twist in disgust. You tried reading her lips, it looked like she said your name followed by the word “sensitive.” Dina smacked Ellie’s shoulder. Ellie began searching around the room until her eyes landed on you. Her eyebrows went up before turning to Dina. You couldn’t see her lips anymore but saw a smirk grow on Dina’s face.
Everyone took a shot and headed towards the couch. You followed, sitting on the ground next to Dina. You were kinda mad that to your right was Ellie, who now sat on the edge of the couch so the guys could sit next to her. She was so close that you could smell the soap she used. Ellie looked down at you, holding the joint out. Before you could decline, she passed it to the guy sitting next to her instead. “Shit, I forgot,” she said. “You’re too good to smoke.”
You glared at her smug face. “I don’t think I’m too good to smoke.”
“Well, you’re too good to drink.”
She reached over to grab an unopened bottle from the table. She grabbed two glasses and poured the liquor into each one. “I’m not too good to drink either!” you exclaimed, defending yourself.
Ellie chuckled. “Right,” she muttered. She went to grab the shot but you grabbed it first, downing it quickly. You coughed as it burned your throat.
“Woah,” Ellie blurted out sarcastically. “You took one shot, cool.”
You grabbed the other glass angrily and downed it too, slamming it back down on the table.
“Jesus!” said Dina, grabbing your shoulder. “Take it slow, you don’t wanna get sick.”
At this point, the joint had reached Dina. She passed it to you to pass over to Ellie but you took a hit instead. You inhaled the smoke deeply and blew it out without coughing. You handed it to Ellie who had a playful smirk on her face. “Wow, I think I’m actually impressed.”
“Whatever,” you uttered, standing up to leave the circle. You went into the kitchen to take another shot. For some reason, you felt you had to prove to Ellie that you weren’t just a goody two shoes and that you could have fun. You knew that in order for the Jackson dealer to take you seriously, you would have to commit.
After a couple shots, you slightly stumbled back to the circle. Dina looked concerned until you giggled. “Oh, boy. This is great,” you slurred, your eyes heavy from the weed. Dina laughed and wrapped an arm around you. “Finally! I’ve been waiting for you to let loose!”
You looked up at Ellie, who was looking further down than your face with furrowed brows. She looked back up and quickly turned away. “Lightweight,” she said.
“Oh, shut it, Ellie,” you snapped. “Just for a second could you please just shut up!”
Ellie laughed. “Good Christian girl suddenly thinks she’s the shit all cause she took a hit off a blunt and a couple shots.”
Everyone groaned, tired of the constant arguing between the two. Every time they were in a room with them, Ellie would make fun of you until you couldn’t take anymore and left. They knew Ellie wasn’t fully serious, she liked picking on you because she thought it was hilarious that you couldn’t take a joke. But part of her started to despise you without her knowledge. Everyone loved you. You were sweet and would pray with anyone who wanted to pray. You would give back to the community and greet everyone who walked past you. Ellie thought it was all an act and grew tired of it.
You, on the other hand, never liked Ellie. She was a dealer who spent all of her free time smoking pot and sleeping around. You didn’t think that was any way to live. You hated the influence Ellie had on your friends. Everyone thought she was funny. You couldn’t understand why.
“Let’s play never have I ever!” Dina suggested, an attempt to break the silence and to lessen the tension that built up in the room. Everyone agreed and put all ten of their fingers up. You followed along, waiting for someone to start.
“Okay,” Dina started. “Loser has to go streaking.”
Everyone cheered. You frowned, unsure if you still wanted to play. “But!” said Dina, causing everyone to be quiet. “Usually, you’re out if you put all your fingers down. But… whoever is left with the most fingers up is the loser.”
You nudged Dina, giving her a look. “You know I’m gonna lose,” you whispered. Dina shook her head. “Don’t worry about it. Just lie.”
“I’ll start,” said Jesse. “Never have I ever… made out with someone on patrol.”
Everyone put their fingers down except you.
“Never have I ever… had sex during patrol,” Dina said. Almost everyone put their finger down. They looked at you, waiting for you to say something. You decided to take Dina’s advice and start lying to avoid being the loser.
“Never have I ever snuck out.”
You put a finger down along with everyone else. Ellie scoffed. “Yeah sure,” she muttered. “Never have I ever had sex.”
You put a finger down, knowing that wasn’t true. Ellie kicked your knee lightly. “Wow, you’re getting some? Tell me, who?”
You looked over at Dina, your eyes wide as you tried to come up with a lie. Some girl who passed through Jackson? Some girl you met before Jackson? Your head started to hurt trying to come up with an excuse.
“Who?” Ellie asked again. “Who’s the lucky guy?”
“Girl,” Dina corrected. “She’s not attracted to men.”
You nodded, not really caring that Dina had outed you. You knew that you were surrounded by people who wouldn’t judge. Except for Ellie, even though she wasn’t straight herself.
Ellie looked genuinely shocked. “Really? Who’s the girl?”
You shrugged. “I’m not gonna name drop.”
“Because this girl isn’t real,” said Ellie. “Lying is a sin. You would know. You just don’t want to be the loser.”
“Hey, it’s not fair to lie,” one of Jesse’s friends complained. Suddenly, everyone started whining about how it was against the rules. Either you say who it was or admit that you’re lying. You felt heat rise to your cheeks in embarrassment. Ellie was grinning but it went away when she saw tears in your eyes.
“I’m teasing, man. Chill… don’t be a crybaby about it.”
“Fuck you, Ellie,” you spat out. A few people gasped, including Dina. She turned to Jesse, resting her head on his shoulder. She felt guilty for suggesting to play the game and for telling Ellie to be nice. Dina realized it just made her pick on you even more.
Ellie wasn’t sure what to say. She wasn’t mad but she wasn’t feeling good about the situation either.
“You’re a real piece of shit,” you continued. “Always throwing religion in my face, being mean, just… why? Why target me? I’ve always been nice to you even though I have never, ever liked you! So, fuck you, Ellie!” You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “I knew better. I shouldn’t have come here when I found out you were gonna be here too. Just give it a rest, Ellie. Grow up!”
You stood up and brushed your shorts off. You faced your friends who all sat back quietly, avoiding your gaze. “Sorry for ruining your fun, guys.”
You stormed up the stairs and into one of the spare bedrooms. You collapsed on the bed, your head spinning. You felt awful for how you reacted but felt she deserved it. You were worried you ruined the party until you heard music along with everyone singing loudly.
You heard a knock on the door. You got up, cracking it open. You were expecting Dina but felt your stomach drop when you saw Ellie. You tried to shut the door but Ellie stopped it with her hand, shoving her way inside and slamming the door shut and locking it. “I’m not here to bitch at you, I want to talk to you.”
“You really want to make things worse?”
“You’re right. I am a piece of shit,” Ellie hissed. “I know I go too far teasing you but you take everything seriously!”
“You don’t know me, Ellie,” you mumbled, too afraid to speak up in case your voice cracked. “I won’t lie and say that I ever cared for you. I don’t like the way you choose to live your life but I still was kind to you. You never gave me a chance.”
“Because you act like you’re better than everyone!”
“How?” you shouted. “All I want is to make friends with everyone, spread a little peace and love in this shitty world! It’s comforting to me, Ellie! I don’t think I’m better than you or anybody. I enjoy making others happy and you enjoy making people miserable. Actually, just me. Because I have never seen you do this to others. You hate me and I wish you didn’t! I hear how Dina talks about you and I see how you laugh with your friends and I’m jealous. I know I could’ve liked you had you been friendly with me. Because I was angry at myself for judging you so quickly. It was wrong of me. But of course, I was right!”
You turned away from Ellie and sat down on the bed, your arms crossed over your chest. “I felt I had to prove that I’m cool,” you continued. “I thought you would stop for just one night if you saw how cool I can be.”
“You want the truth?” Ellie asked.
“You’re always truthful. So, I might as well say yes even if I don’t really give a shit.”
“I meant it when I said I was impressed earlier.”
You scoffed. “Sure.”
“I can’t even take two shots back to back like that.”
“Stop teasing, Ellie. I am convinced that being torn apart by infected is less stressful than dealing with you.”
“Just shut the fuck up and let me talk, okay? I’m leading into something.”
You flinched at her raised voice, slowly looking up to see her facial expression harden.
“I’m jealous of you,” she admitted. “I’m jealous that you can still believe in something and that you still care when everything is so fucked!”
You stood up, walking towards Ellie as she spoke. “I’d give anything, anything, to be that way. I had bitter feelings towards you. I think I wanted to tear you down so you wouldn’t be so… sweet. Giving, caring, everything I never could be.”
You watched her face closely, trying to figure out if she was telling the truth.
“I fuck girls like you and ignore them so they can hurt. Maybe I want the world to suffer with me,” said Ellie. “But I couldn’t do that to you. You’re too… good. I had to find another way.”
You paused as you connected what she said together. “Wait, you wanna…?” you trailed off, too shy to say it.
Ellie scratched her neck awkwardly. “Well, I did… but you’d never do that.”
“I might have,” you said, almost feeling ashamed of how bold you were being. You never would have thought this sober but Ellie was really pretty. If the circumstances were different, you knew that she would be your type.
Ellie was taken aback by your statement.
“What?” Ellie questioned.
“Not now, since I know you would’ve ignored me.”
Ellie stepped closer to you, eyeing your body up and down. She thought you looked good tonight and couldn’t help but to peek at your tits when you weren’t paying attention, or your ass when you were turned away.
“I… know I would’ve back then,” Ellie whispered, getting even closer to you. She stood above you, watching as your face turned red. Your heart sped up. You wondered why your panties started to feel a bit wet at the sight of Ellie looking down at you. You usually never got turned on. Ellie was right, you were just a good Christian girl who didn’t do anything. You never even tried touching yourself. Since you were breaking the rules now, you thought maybe you could break some more and pray for forgiveness later.
“I’m not so sure now,” Ellie continued, reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. “I never knew you were hiding that under all those baggy clothes.”
“A-Are you saying that in a bad way?”
Ellie shook her head. “When I first saw you earlier, I told Dina I kinda wanted to fuck you.”
Your breath hitched. “What did… Dina say?”
“That if I was nicer,” she said, stepping closer so there was almost no space left between your bodies. “I just might get to.”
Ellie caressed your cheek slowly. “Am I nice enough now, pretty girl?”
Your panties were soaked at this point. Your body trembled, afraid that you wouldn’t know what to do since it was your first time. Even though ten minutes ago you didn’t like the girl, you suddenly wanted nothing more than to be underneath her.
“I really… was lying earlier,” you mumbled.
“I know you were.”
“You don’t care that I’ve never… had sex before?”
Ellie smirked. “I’m glad you’ve never been fucked before. I want to be the one who corrupts you. I want everybody who fucks you after me to be a disappointment so you come crawling back. You’ll never find better than me, not even your own hand.”
Ellie leaned down, her lips brushing against yours. You pulled away to speak. “I don’t even do that…”
Ellie chuckled. “Really? Little church girl don’t know how to please herself?”
Usually, you would get mad at Ellie for saying stuff like that. Now, her insults just made you throb even more.
“Have you even kissed before?”
You bit your lip shyly and shrugged. “Not… really. When I was 13, a boy tried kissing me and I didn’t kiss back.”
“Aw, poor pup,” Ellie teased, running her fingers on the exposed skin of your tummy. “I get to teach you everything.”
Finally, Ellie collided her lips with yours. She was super gentle, placing her hand on your cheek and brushing it with her thumb. You melted in the kiss, pressing your thighs together to ease your aching cunt. The friction made it feel even better, causing you to release a soft moan into her mouth. Ellie pulled away, smirking at the noise you made. “I wanna hear more of that.”
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” you admitted. “I don’t know if I can do anything to make you feel good.”
“You want me to fuck you, don’t you?”
You hesitated a bit before nodding. Of course you wanted that. You were just scared that you’d be bad at it since you had zero experience.
“Then let me fuck you. I get off to getting you off, understand?” asked Ellie.
“Y-Yes.”
“Good girl,” Ellie praised. “Lay down, baby.”
You obeyed and laid down onto the bed. You watched as Ellie slowly took your boots off and dropped them onto the ground. “Lift your hips up for me?”
You lifted your hips and let Ellie pull your shorts off. Ellie bit her lip at the sight of your white cotton panties. She could see how soaked they were. “Look at that,” she breathed. You closed your legs to hide yourself but Ellie pulled them back open, holding your thighs down so you couldn’t move. “Filthy little girl,” she cooed. “What would God say about this?”
Your breathing started to grow heavier. “I-I don’t care what He would say,” you whined.
Ellie held back a moan that threatened to escape her lips. She pulled your panties off and threw them behind her.
“Fuck,” she groaned. “Your pussy is so pretty.”
She tugged at your shirt until you got the hint to raise up. She lifted the fabric over your head and dropped it on the floor. You were completely naked while Ellie was fully dressed. She rolled her sleeves up, her eyes never leaving yours. She crawled on top of you and started making out with you passionately. Without pulling away, she started to unbutton her jeans and took them off swiftly. She shoved her knee against your dripping cunt, eliciting a squeal from you. She placed her hands on your hips and guided them up and down so you were grinding on her.
“Just like that, baby. Good girl.”
You started to moan louder, Ellie covering your mouth and shushing you. “As much as I want to make you scream, you don’t want anyone to hear and interrupt us, do you?”
You shook your head no. “Will you be quiet for me?”
“Yes,” you whimper.
Ellie pressed her knee harder on your pussy. You started to go faster, mewling and biting your lip to keep quiet.
“Such a good girl. You listen so well,” Ellie complimented. She took her knee away and brushed a finger up your slit. Your body jolted at the feeling. “You want me to taste you baby?”
“Please,” you almost cried out, desperate for whatever Ellie planned on doing to you. Ellie moaned at the sight of you squirming. She loved watching you unfold beneath her. To think she ever hated you was beyond her at this point. She wished she had done this sooner as she admired how beautiful you were.
“Say it,” Ellie demanded. “Use your words, pup.”
“E-Ellie, please” you begged. “F-Fuck me.”
Ellie tutted, shaking her head no. “I plan on fucking you anyway. I want you to beg me to eat you out.”
You were confused. You’ve heard Dina say that Jesse would ‘eat her out’ but you weren’t sure what it really meant. Ellie saw the confusion on your face and laughed. “Wow, you’re too innocent.”
You started to sit up but Ellie pushed you back down softly. “I know what you’re thinking. I didn’t mean it that way,” she apologized. “It’s okay that you don’t know what that means. I’ll show you baby. You want that?”
You nodded. “Yes, please show me.”
Ellie leaned down between your thighs and started peppering kisses all over them. You reached down to grip her hair as her lips got closer to your pussy. She flicked her tongue across your clit once and looked up at you. “Do you understand now, pup?”
“Mm, yes Ellie.”
She smirked. “You want me to continue?”
“Please?”
Ellie chuckled as she went back down to your dripping cunt, licking it all up and swallowing. She savored the taste of you, going back down for more. You grabbed the pillow beneath your head to put over your face in an attempt to muffle your moans.
Ellie stopped and yanked the pillow out of your hands. “They turned the music all the way up finally. You don’t have to be quiet anymore. I wanna hear how good I make you feel.”
Ellie pressed her tongue against your clit and went back and forth between a circular motion and flicking it. You nearly screamed from the pleasure, your hands grabbing Ellie’s hair to pull her closer. She moaned against you, speeding her tongue up. She brought a hand up to play with your nipple, squeezing and pulling on it. Ellie used her free hand to gently push one finger in. You yelped, yanking Ellie’s hair harder. She pulled away and licked her lips. “Too much baby?” she asked, out of breath. You shook your head no and pulled her back to keep going.
Ellie loved how tight you felt. The feeling of you gripping around her finger made her want to bend you over and fuck you with a strap. She wished the party was at her place so she could have used all the toys she had on you.
A feeling began to build up in your stomach as you trembled harder. “E-Ellie!” you moaned, bucking your hips upward as you got closer and closer to cumming.
“Come on, baby. That’s it. Be a good girl and cum for me.”
All of the sudden, your body began to convulse as your orgasm hit you hard. Ellie slowly fingered you, riding it out until you pulled away from her. She brought her finger up to your mouth, forcing it open and shoving it down your throat. You sucked on her finger with a moan.
“Such a good girl,” Ellie praised, elated with how quickly you catch on.
“Wow,” you mumbled, out of breath from all the noises you made. “Never in a million years did I think I’d lose my virginity to you.”
Ellie sent you a sly smile. “I never knew I’d take it.”
You raised up slightly, leaning against Ellie’s shoulder. “Are you still going to be mean to me?”
Ellie sighed. “No, baby. That’s all over now.”
“Good. Do I put my clothes on now?”
“Why do you have to ask for my permission?” Ellie questioned with a laugh.
You giggled. “Well, I like… asking you.”
“Well, then no. I think I want to fingerfuck you some more. Can you take that?”
You froze, looking up at her with a fucked out expression. You were exhausted but didn’t want your time with Ellie to end. “Mhm, I think so.”
Ellie leaned back a bit and grabbed you. “Come lay in my lap, baby. Ass up.”
You complied and laid down, arching your back in excitement. Ellie rubbed her hand over your ass, squeezing tightly as you moaned. “Tell me, did you pray for me?”
Before you could ask what she meant by that, she shoved two fingers into your dripping cunt. You yelped as she fucked you with them slow and hard. “That one time when you got mad at me for making fun of you, you said you’d pray for me. Did you?”
Ellie sped her movements up as she went deeper inside you.
“Fuck!” you yelled out, trembling and kicking your feet at the feeling.
“Answer me, pup, or I’ll stop,” Ellie threatened.
“Yes!”
“Yes what, baby?”
“Yes! God, yes, I prayed for you!”
Ellie went even faster as you got closer to cumming again. “Atta girl, such a sweet pup. Praying for a sinner like me.”
“Ellie! Fuck! I-I prayed for you everyday!” you babbled, unable to speak without getting interrupted by your own sounds of pleasure.
“Yeah? Told God how bad you wanted me? Told Him all your dirty thoughts, you filthy slut?”
You moaned louder, bucking your hips up towards Ellie . “Yes!”
“You’re gonna ask for forgiveness, aren’t you? Like the good Christian girl you are.”
“Mm, yes, Ellie,” you whined, your orgasm about to take over you.
“Then ask, baby, ask.”
“God, forgive me please,” you said in between moans as you finally came undone for her. The force of you cumming shook your entire body and made your eyes roll to the back of your head. You couldn’t help but to repeat Ellie’s name until you started to come down, your body almost collapsing onto her lap.
“Good girl.”
Ellie helped you up onto your feet, your legs shaking. “Let me help you get dressed,” she offered.
As Ellie helped you into your clothes, you couldn’t help but feel awful. “Ellie? Did I… make God mad at me?”
Ellie stopped, placing her hands on your shoulders and staring deep into your eyes. “Who could be mad at an angel like you?”
You blushed, removing yourself from her grip and tugging your shirt over your head. You put your shoes on next and sighed, looking up at Ellie with a tired smile. “Do we say anything?”
Ellie shook her head no, quickly fixing your hair so it wasn’t obvious what happened. “Just say we talked and you forgave me. I had one hell of an apology,” she uttered with a goofy grin. You laughed softly.
“So, you’re not gonna ignore me, right?”
Ellie wrapped her arms around you for a second before stepping back, eyeing you up and down while heading towards the door. Your heart stung, wondering if maybe Ellie didn’t mean what she said before.
“Come by tomorrow night,” said Ellie as she turned the knob. “I’ll fuck you so good that you won’t question me again.”
Ellie left you standing there, your mouth open in shock. You waited a couple minutes before heading downstairs to the party.
“Hey,” you heard Dina call out to you. She grabbed your hand and looked at you with concern. “I shouldn’t have said anything to Ellie. It just made her worse. I begged her not to talk to you but-”
“Dina,” you interrupted. “She explained herself and I explained myself. We’re all good.”
Dina looked surprised. “What? Really? You forgave her?”
You looked behind Dina to see Ellie back on the couch, staring at you with a grin as she puffed on her joint. You smiled at Dina and nodded. “Of course I forgave her. Her apology was genuine and…”
“What did she say?” Dina pressed on.
You shrugged. “I can’t remember everything she said but it was one hell of an apology.”

part one / part two / part three / part four / part five
The dinner is going on and on. Normally you really like the dinners with the McLaren team, but tonight you can’t seem to focus on anything that’s happening around you. Lando isn’t seated close to you like normal, you don’t know how it happened but there is a couple seats between you. It causes you to stare at him all the time. Oscar however is sitting next to you. He’s nice and polite, but the both of you are a bit shy. Something that causes the conversation to go not as smooth as when Lando is with you. You couldn’t stop yourself and drank a bit more then you’d normally do. You try to talk it right for yourself, but all your excuses are around Lando. Instead of doing the wise thing and order a water or a soda, you order another cocktail when the waiter asks you for your drink order. Oops?
You don’t know what’s going on with you. Since you have arrived in the restaurant, you have been feeling vague. At first it was just because Lando was seated a bit far away from you, but eventually something else happened what causes you to feel like this. Maybe vague isn’t the right word, but you can’t confess the right word. That would make things so much worse.
The weird, unsettling feeling in your stomach and head started when Lando started to talk with another girl. You don’t know her personally and you haven’t seen her around before. Nothing too weird since McLaren is growing rather fast and hires a lot of new employees quite often. If she’s from McLaren, you don’t know for sure. Lando is talking and laughing with her, it causes you to feel terrible. Every time he lets out a laugh, you feel yourself getting jealous.
Oscar sends you a confused look when you take a big gulp from the cocktail the waiter just brought you. He seems even more confused when he looks at his own glass, which is still half full and was order a round earlier. You can only hope that Oscar doesn’t say anything about it, but you’re quick to let go of that hope when Oscar starts to talk.
“Everything okay?” He asks you.
You show him a simple nod as a reply.
“Do you want me to switch places with Lando?” He asks you with a small smile, “I understand if I’m a bit boring tonight, but I’m exhausted from the race.”
“Oh no,” you quickly state, “I’m also pretty tired, so I’m not the most fun person tonight as well. And I can’t focus on anything right now.”
“Maybe that’s because you’re drinking quite a lot for someone who wants to focus?” Oscar jokes.
You let out a soft laugh. “You’re right,” you agree with him, “Don’t even know why.”
“Maybe because of the girl who’s flirting with Lando?” Oscar says without even a single doubt. Are you that obvious? Fuck. Before you can say anything to Oscar - not that you know what, are you going to lie to him or confess? Oscar is already talking again, but this time softer. “Let me help you. Just follow my lead and this is fixed in only minutes.”
You show Oscar a confused look, but still nod at his words. Oscar says a loud hi to someone who’s sitting next to you, quickly starting a conversation with him. You look at what he’s doing, but you still have no idea how it will help you right now.
“Did you already meet Y/N?” Oscar suddenly asks the guy. The guy shakes his head. “Really?” Oscar asks confused, “This is her, you should really get to know her.” In only seconds the guy is shaking your hand and introducing himself as Pedro. You introduce yourself as well. A small conversation is started rather quickly. Pedro is pretty interested into you, Oscar is quickly fading to the background of the conversation. You try to keep him into it as well, but Pedro keeps focussing on you.
“We should totally dance together at the club later!” Pedro tells you full enthusiasm, you chuckle and tell him that you’re a terrible dancer. Something he doesn’t seem to care about. Conversations with him are pretty easy, before you know it he talks about how he got by McLaren recently and what he does. It seems that he’s involved in Lando his trainings, helping the team with making a better rhythm for your friend and assisting his main trainer John when it’s needed.
“I can teach you how to dance later tonight,” Pedro tells you with a smile. It sounds a bit suggestive now that you think about it. Before you can realize, you see Lando coming closer to you. He presses a kiss against your cheek. You almost jump up when he does, since when are you doing this in public as well?
“Hi babygirl,” Lando softly greets you.
Pedro sends you an embarrassed look. Before he can say anything, Lando greets his shortly as well. “Pedro,” he simply says with a small nod to the guy. You don’t know if you’re right, but Lando his tone seemed different when he greeted Pedro. It almost sounded annoyed. When you look at Oscar and he shows you a grin, you realize that this was his plan all the time.
“Sorry Lando, didn’t know you two are a thing,” Pedro quickly says, he stands up and walks away after saying so. The words to deny it are still laying on your tongue. Lando is quick to take Pedro his seat next to you. You show him a confused look. What did just happen? Why didn’t Lando deny it?
“Sooo, the two of you are a thing?” Oscar asks his teammate with a small smirk on his face. He knew exactly what he was doing by letting you meet Pedro. You send him an annoyed look, but don’t say anything. Lando can fix this. He acted this strange. “We’re not dating,” Lando states.
“Oh then why did you kiss her cheek and call her babygirl?” Oscar asks.
“It’s just the alcohol,” Lando mutters.
Oscar laughs. He doesn’t believe the tiniest bit of it. Lando makes things even worse for himself by grabbing you on a soft way by the shoulders and pulling your body onto his. You show him a confused look, but then you allow your body to lean onto Lando. His hand find yours, he plays with your fingers before interlocking them with his own.
“And that’s the alcohol as well?” Oscars asks while laughing.
“Fuck off mate,” Lando sighs.
“Weren’t you talking with that other girl?” You can’t help yourself and ask Lando. When you look around and let your gaze wander to where Lando was sitting before, you notice that the girl is already looking at Lando and you. You quickly look away from her, feeling uncomfortable with the stare.
“Which girl?” Lando asks you. “The one who’s looking at us,” you reply.
“Oh, her,” he says, “She’s a bit too interested to be honest. So smile at me and act like you love me,” he continues to joke. You do what he says, you press a small kiss against Lando his cheek. You don’t even have to act like you love him. You know all to well that it’s not an act. It has never been an act.
+++
When you’re finally in the club, you’re quick to find the dance floor. You’re dancing for fun with a couple of McLaren team members. Lando has find a place on the sidelines where he can focus all his attention on you. He laughs when you almost bump into another girl. Oscar has found a place next to his teammate. The words Oscar is saying aren’t landing by Lando, he’s way too focused on you.
He’s completely focused on you and the dress you’re wearing. The dress has been on his mind for the whole evening. It’s unfair how good you look in it. It causes him to want to spread your legs for him so he can pull out another orgasm from you. Or for you to drop on your knees, so he can fuck your mouth and finally can get rid from the sexual tension that has been hanging around him since his podium. Or just your hand firmly around his boner to give him his release. Now that he thinks about it, he doesn’t care how it happens as long as there happens something. And the best would be if you were just close to him, showing everyone that the beautiful girl on the dance floor belongs to him. Only you don’t. It causes him to have a headache. Why aren’t you his? He really needs to change this.
“There’s really nothing going on between Y/N and you?” Oscar asks Lando.
“No,” Lando quickly states.
“So you won’t mind if my friend asks her on a date?” Oscar continues to ask, “Since you acted a bit weird with Pedro giving her attention..”
Lando doesn’t even react to the question, he can only focus on one thing. “Who?” He asks. His head is filling up with all kind of questions. Which friend from Oscar wants to date you? Would you date that friend as well? He lets out a sigh. This is the worst.
“Logan.”
Logan? Does Logan even know you? Do you even know Logan? Lando starts to wonder if he ever saw the two of you talking. Would you say yes to Logan if he asks you on a date? Fuck. Why didn’t he thought about this before. Of course there’s someone interested in you.
“Do they even know each other?” Lando sneers. He can’t help himself.
“Kinda,” Oscar shrugs, “they talked a couple races ago when Logan DNF’ed. She made him feel a lot better about it.”
“Fuck,” Lando sighs. He can’t hold the words back anymore. “Fuuck.”
Oscar laughs. “That says enough, don’t you think?”
“No,” Lando quickly mutters, “I mean if he wants to he should, you know. It’s up to Y/N what she says.”
This time it’s Oscar who lets out a sigh. “Lando just be honest, you like her so you don’t want anyone else to date her. Why aren’t you telling her that?”
Lando doesn’t answer to that question. He wachtes you dance and sip from your drink. When he watches the people around you, it’s not surprising to him how many guys are doing the same as him. Watching you. He’s quick to realize that Logan, or Pedro, aren’t the problem. There’s always someone who would want to date you. The problem is always that you aren’t his. How is he ever going to fix this mess? What if you meet someone who you want to date? Someone who can offer you anything you want? Like being always there for you instead of needing you to travel across the world with them? What if he loses you want you start to date someone else? Lando can’t stand by the sidelines while watching you have a relationship with someone else. Right? He would lose his mind.
It doesn’t even surprise Lando when he sees Logan coming closer to you. He sighs. It’s pretty normal that after a race a lot of the drivers are clubbing, so he isn’t surprised that Logan is her as well. But still, it stings. It’s stings even more when you greet Logan with a hug before talking to him full with enthusiasm. He wachtes away. He can’t see this.
“You’re an idiot,” Oscar sighs when he notices the way Lando looks away from you for the first time that evening.
“I know,” Lando mutters, “and you don’t even know the worst parts.”
“Worst parts?” Oscar asks curiously.
Lando knows that everything that’s happening between you two is a secret, but he also knows that Oscar will keep it that way. Right now he really can use some advise from someone. Oscar can probably give him some, he even has a great relationship. Lando stops questioning it and starts to confess to Oscar. This must be because of the alcohol, otherwise he would have thought about it longer.
“The short version is that we’re fucking,” Lando confesses, “or not really fucking, but doing a lot of other sexual stuff. Probably fucking soon.”
Oscar almost drops his drink. Then he lets out a loud laugh. “And you’re still doubting if she wants you?” He asks. “Fuck man, you’re stupid. Why would she do those things with you without being interested into you?”
“Because she wants sexual experience,” Lando explains.
“But still, why with you? There were probably enough others who wanted to help.”
“I offered,” Lando states.
“Same question, why did she chose you?”
Lando doesn’t reply at first. He watches Logan and you again. The two of you are dancing. Logan looks if he tries to get as close to you as he can manage. Fuck, that should be him. Lando curses himself, he should have make sure that he was on the dance floor with you. Embarrassing himself, but having fun with you.
“I don’t know why with me, probably because I offered and she didn’t have to contact others to ask. She’s embarrassed about her experience, so she probably wants to keep it a secret,” he explains to Oscar.
“Lando she won’t be doing this with you if there wasn’t some sort of interest,” Oscar quickly states.
Lando just shakes his head to disagree. He focuses on Logan and you again. There’s still a lot of dancing happening and it’s getting more closer with the second. He can’t watch this anymore. Without saying anything else to Oscar he starts to walk towards Logan and you. He hasn’t even a plan, but he needs to do something abut this. Oscar lets out a laugh when he notices the way Lando is walking towards you. He didn’t tell his teammate that he told Logan before that it would be dumb to ask you onto a date, since you’re too close with Lando. Oscar believes that Lando needs a push and this could be exactly the push Lando would have needed. And who is he to not give his teammate that much needed push?
It doesn’t take Lando long before he stands in front of you. You stop dancing to focus on him. What’s Lando doing? Logan also stops dancing and wait for what’s going to happen. Oscar already warned him for this, but he still wanted to try. “Can we go back to the hotel?” Lando asks you.
He notices that Logan takes a bit more distance from you. Something he’s glad abut. You look worried at Lando.
“Back to the hotel?” You ask him, “What’s going on?”
“I’m not feeling well,” Lando lies. Although he doesn’t feel well, but that can be easily fixed if every guy would leave you alone.
“What’s wrong?” You ask him worried.
“Just a bit too much alcohol,” Lando continues to lie. He can’t confess that he isn’t feeling well because of the attention every boy is giving you tonight. You send Lando another worried look and get closer to him.
“Let’s go back to the hotel then,” you tell Lando.
“Sorry if I’m ruining your night right now,” Lando says apologetic. He almost feels ashamed of himself for acting like this, but he can’t help it. He needs you for himself right now. He wants nothing more then to lay in bed with you right now and to cuddle up against you, instead of worrying about every guy around you.
“It’s fine Lan,” you quickly say.
Then Logan starts to meddle in the conversation. He sounds a bit unsure when he talks, a bit nervous even, “I can also bring you back to the hotel?” He suggests, “If you want to stay longer of course.”
“That’s really sweet of you Logan,” you say. Before you can say anything else Lando is talking as well. He feels himself getting more frustrated. Who does Logan think he is by suggesting this? He doesn’t even think about his next actions. He just acts. Word are quickly leaving his mouth.
“We share the room and I only have one pass,” he states with a harsh undertone in his voice, “so you can’t.”
You look confused at Lando. Why is he acting like this? Doesn’t he notice that Logan is trying to help? Why is he this rude? Since when can Lando even act like this? You don’t know this side of him.
“Oh sorry I didn’t know,” Logan quickly says, “I just wanted to help.”
You feel ashamed when Lando continues to talk. “That’s unnecessary,” he states. You quickly take a step closer to Logan, you don’t realize that it causes you to stand in front of Lando while doing so. Lando on the other hand is quick to notice.
“It’s really sweet of you Logan,” you say, “but I’ll get back with Lando. Enjoy the rest of your night.” To give your words a bit more power, you give Logan a quick hug. When Lando sees your action he almost loses his mind. He feels like the most childish person when he grabs your hand and drags you away with him. He doesn’t take the time to say goodbye to anyone, he just needs to get you into the car with him. When he is outside the club, he starts to feel more ashamed for his actions. He barely dares to look at you. What are you thinking about him right now? You are probably really annoyed with him. And he gets it.
“What’s wrong with you Lan?” You ask confused, Lando is just happy that you still use the nickname for him. “Logan only tried to help.”
Lando doesn’t reply at first. He lets out a small scoff. Of course you’re dragging Logan into this as well.
“You acted really rude,” you tell him annoyed.
“Of course side with Logan,” Lando sighs, “give me an even bigger headache right now.”
You let out a sigh. “You’re acting crazy,” you state frustrated.
Lando doesn’t reply anymore. He’s glad when the taxi is standing in front of him. He opens your car door and walks towards the other side to take place himself. He knows that you’re right, but he really doesn’t want to confess that right now. Unsure he grabs your hand and interlaces his fingers with yours. He smiles when he notices that you aren’t pulling away from him, but even give him a small squeeze.
After a short taxi ride, Lando and you are quick to find your way back into the hotel. When standing in the room, you change your outfit. The dress from before quickly lands onto the floor and is replaced by a shirt from Lando. Lando can only focus on you walking around in his shirt with only a thong underneath. He wants nothing more then to hold you right now. Maybe remind you of your earlier promise, he still has an awful hard dick that can use some help.
You on the other hand are thinking about other things. One of them being Logan. “You should apologize to Logan,” you softly tell Lando after a comfortable silence, “He only tried to help us.”
“He tried to get in your pants,” Lando scoffs annoyed. The frustrated feeling of before is coming back rather quickly. Why are you starting about Logan again? He wonders if you really don’t realize that Logan only wanted to bring you back to the hotel so he could get more from you?
“Lan,” you sigh annoyed, “now you’re just exaggerating.”
“I’m not,” Lando quickly replies.
You let out a big sigh and take a seat onto the bed. Lando is already laying in it. “You are,” you tell him while sending you an angry glance, “not everyone who’s nice to me is trying to get in my pants.”
“But he was,” Lando exclaims with a raised voice.
“Why?” You ask.
“Because Oscar told me he wants to date you,” Lando confesses.
“So?” You ask, “That doesn’t mean he wants to fuck me.”
“Y/N,” Lando sighs, “just believe me on this one.”
“Even if he is, why do you care?” You eventually ask Lando, you’re done with this conversation but it doesn’t seem to be even close to ending. You can’t help yourself from questioning it. Why does it seem like Lando cares this much about Logan wanting to date you and maybe wanting to have sex with you? It gives you a tiny bit of hope that Lando might return your feelings. Could that be possible? Is he just acting jealous? It almost seems so.
“I uh,” Lando stutters a bit, he doesn’t know what to say. “I uh, I just want to be sure that your first is with someone who cares about you,” he says after a bit of stuttering. That is a good reason, right?
“Are you afraid you won’t be my first anymore?” You ask Lando confused.
Lando doesn’t know what to answer. He realizes that you’re right. He is afraid that things will change and that you don’t want - and need - him anymore. He really wants to be your first. “Maybe,” he confesses eventually.
“Don’t,” you tell Lando.
“Don’t?” He asks confused.
“You’ll still be my first,” you tell Lando, “I trust you and I want it to be with you. But..”
“But?” Lando asks.
“But you still need to apologize to Logan, otherwise I will find someone else,” you joke.
“Fucking hell,” Lando mutters annoyed. He grabs his phone from his nightstand. You lay down on the bed next to him in the mean time. You get yourself close to Lando, you lay your head on his chest. Lando plays with your hair while scrolling in his phone, you watch the screen with him. You see Lando searching for Logan’s contact. When he finds him, he’s quick to type a message.
Lando: Hey Logan. Sorry for my behavior tonight. It was rude, I understand now that you were only trying to help. Sorry.
You smile when Lando hits send. What the both of you don’t know is that Logan and Oscar are reading the message right now together. “I told you so,” Oscar tells Logan, “She has him all wrapped around her finger.”
When Lando puts his phone away, he is quick to focus his attention back on you. He doesn’t have to do anything to get your attention as well. You’re quick to move closer to him and press your lips onto his. The kiss was meant innocent, but Lando is quick to turn it into a make out session.
“Fuck babygirl,” he mutters, “I’ve been so fucking turned on the whole night because of you.”
You look at Lando. All the annoyed, mad feelings from before have melted away like snow for the sun. He grabs you and moves you on top of him. When you’re sitting on his lip, you feel his boner pressing on your body.
“Can’t get the taste of you out if my system,” he continues to say, “Have been thinking about all the things you can do to me all night. All the ways you can make me cum. Fuck.”
You grind your ass on Lando his lap. “You like that don’t you?” Lando asks you, “When I talk dirty to you.” You show him a nod. “My dirty girl,” Lando continues to speak. His words cause you to grind on his crotch again. You feel the pressure from his boner sliding on your pussy. Fuck that feels good.
“I need you to do something about it,” Lando groans when you take his boner into your hands. You won’t let him say that twice to you. Without giving it a second thought, you unclasp Lando his belt. Within seconds you pull down his pants and boxers. His boner springs free. When you take his boner into your hand and slowly stroke it. Your small movements cause Lando to let out a soft relieved moan.
You try to remember what Lando likes. After a few firm strokes, you move down your head towards Lando his member. You place a few small licks around the top, making it wet. After that you carefully take his boner in your mouth. Slowly bobbing your head while sucking harshly on it. You use one of your hands to stroke the bit of his dick that doesn’t fit in your mouth.
Lando sees the way you subtle move your head a couple times to remove the hair from coming in your sight. He lets out a low chuckle. Then he grabs your hair with one of his hands. Pulling it behind your head in a ponytail and keeping it in his hand like that. You increase your pace a bit.
“Babygirl,” Lando suddenly says, “I’m going to give you a pace, but if it’s not okay you need to let me know. Okay?”
You remove your mouth from his boner only to tell Lando yes. When your mouth is back around his dick, Lando firms his grip on your hair. Slowly he shows you what he means. He softly pushes and pulls to make you get on his pace. He lets out a loud moan. “Fucking hell baby.”
Slowly you use your other hand to explore Lando his dick a bit more. Eventually you let your hand find Lando his balls. You use your finger to trace over them. For Lando this is a bit new as well, he always knew it would feel good but former girlfriends weren’t interested in it. He loves the way you doing things like this out of yourself. He doesn’t need to ask, you just explore the exact same things as he wants. When he feels your hand form around his balls and softly squeeze them, he lets out the hardest moan so far. It feels insanely good.
You continue doing the same over again. It doesn’t take Lando long before he feels his balls getting a bit more tight. He lets out multiple moans before one hard grunts leaves his lips. It says enough to you. Lando his grip on your hair loses. A salty taste enters your mouth. You swallow it before sucking slowly until Lando is completely empty.
“You’re the best,” Lando eventually says to you. You show him a smile. Lando pulls you close to himself, causing you to land on his chest with your body again. He plays with your hair. “Don’t give me that innocent look,” Lando says with a small smile, “because I know for sure that you’re not that innocent.” You show him a smile again, not knowing what to reply.
“I can’t wait to find out how you feel around my cock,” Lando tells you.
“I’m ready for that,” you tell Lando shyly, “Maybe we can do that soon?”
“That sounds like a good plan.”
Then Lando realizes that he has no idea what will happen after that. Will this thing between you two end when Lando takes your virginity? He realizes that he needs to think about that and talk to you about it. But for now he focuses his attention onto you again. He presses a soft kiss against your forehead.

Happy, it’s such a great feeling when you get to say you genuinely feel happy, and you were, being a tutor for Leon’s daughter, Adeline. She was a sweet girl, full of joy and excitement and always wanting to help, in all honesty, she was probably the best part of your day.
So when Leon calls to inform you he might be a little late coming home tonight, well you tell him you’re more than okay to stay a little longer. With that, Leon can hear Adeline let out a little excited squeal clapping her hands, and the sound has his chest tightening with admiration.
“Call me if anything happens, alright honey?” He says and his sweet nickname has your heart skipping a beat, he was always the sweetest when it came to you.
“Of course Leon- one second Addy” You go and say something but once again are cut off by the four-year-old, and Leon smiles when he hears his daughter over the phone.
“Is she being good?” He chuckles, admiring the way you try and distract her by promising her dessert after dinner,
“Oh yeah, she’s just asking for pizza for dinner,” you tell him and Leon only laughs in return, she’s definitely her Father’s daughter for sure.
“I left some money on the kitchen side, near the erm- microwave, you can use that for pizza” he says, and you can hear him rustling through papers on the other side of the line.
“Thank you Leon” You know better than to fight him on it, he’s stubborn when it comes to you and you know it would just be a fight you’ll end up losing.
He tells you it’s not a problem before you both bid each other goodbyes, giving you the same five-step instructions just in case there’s an emergency. His protectiveness towards his daughter, and you, never fails to make you go all bashful. It was nice to have someone that cares about you.
Adeline comes running into the kitchen with her eyes full of excitement, “Did he say yes?!” She asks bouncing on her feet, her hands clasping together as she looks up to you with a toothy smile.
“Of course, he did” you giggle as she jumps up and down before showing you her ‘Pizza dance’ which only makes you laugh harder.
The sun soon sets and Adeline falls asleep with a full belly and a sweet bedtime story after she claims that ‘you’re much better than her daddy’ and her words cause a prideful feeling to bloom within your chest. You flick her pink nightlight on before gently closing her bedroom door, leaving her to sleep as you lightly clean the house.
It’s nearing eleven pm before you hear Leon’s car pull up into the driveway whilst you finish cleaning up Adeline’s colouring pencils. The door opens and Leon lets out a heavy sigh, but his face softens at the sight of you and there's a part of him that's glad you’re still up.
“I’m so sorry I’m late, everything just decided to break at the last minute” he explains as he walks into the kitchen. You follow after him.
“Oh no it’s alright Leon. Addy is fast asleep” you let him know with a soft smile, and he can’t help but wonder what life would be like if he had you to come home to every day. The thought leaves him feeling all flustered.
“Thank you” he smiles, his hand pressed against your lower back, “Excuse me, sweetheart,” he says as he guides you away from the cabinet, he takes two glasses and you watch without complaint as he pours you both a glass of water, a nice surprise.
“So, how was she today?” He says, standing close to you.
“Oh, yeah she was great. Misses you though” you tell him, immediately feeling guilty as you watch his face fall.
You reach your hand out resting it against his shoulder, “Do you- do you think I’m gone too much?” He asks in an almost timid manner, a tone you’ve never heard and the vulnerability that comes with it shocks you a little.
“No!, I didn’t mean anything by it Leon- I just- you try your best and honestly, that’s better than some can say. God Leon, I’m so sorry” You offer him a strained smile, looking away from him scarred by the sadness that might contort his face. The thought of even hurting him like that puts tears in your eyes.
You’re quick to wipe them away but of course. Leon notices, “Hey, no honey, I didn’t- shit” Now it’s his turn to feel bad, watching as you try to shrug off your feelings. His slightly calloused hand cups your jaw, urging you to look up at him, “Don’t cry please” he whispers, there’s no annoyance, just soft words and you let him wipe away your tears.
The feeling of his rough palms against your soft cheek sends a shiver down your spine, and although you try so hard not to think of him like that you fail, horribly and the only thing that plagues your mind is how his hands might feel all over your body.
He moves closer to you and you can feel his body warmth radiating from him as he wipes away the stray tears with the sleeve of his blazer.
You clear your throat, “Sorry, I just- it’s getting late, I should probably go home” you whisper, only noticing now just how close he is to you.
“It’s gone past one am, stay?- you could sleep in the guest bedroom” he says in a hushed tone, inching closer to you until your back is pressed against the cold dark marble of the kitchen countertop.
“I don’t think that’s very professional of me” you whisper, voice shaking and there’s a ball of excitement that sits in your stomach waiting for his next move.
“I think we’ve gone way past professionalism” he chuckles, his thumb running along your jaw, and before you even have time to process what’s happening his lips are against yours. You don’t pull away, no. Instead, you chase after his warmth with a desperate whine, your fingers threading through his hair as he tilts his head.
He pulls back ever so slightly, his forehead resting against yours, “Do you- is this okay?” He whispers against your lips.
You nod your head as you respond with a quiet, “Yes, of course” and that’s all he needs to hear as he continues to press kisses against your jaw trailing off to your neck. His hands grasp your hips as he tells you to ‘jump’ lifting you up onto the kitchen countertop.
“Fuck- you’re so beautiful,” he says, his hands dipping underneath the shirt you’re wearing. “Wanted you for so long, too long” he mumbles against your shoulder smiling at the way your hips writhe, stuttering against his own.
And before you can say anything you both freeze, hearing Adeline’s steps as he runs down the stairs with a sleepy, ‘Daddy?’ Leon pulls away from you watching as you jump down from the counter.
“You’re home!” She says, sleep still very evident on her face as she rubs at her eyes. Leon walks over to her, picking her up with ease and she wraps her tiny arms around his neck as she hugs him, her head resting against his shoulder.
“Yeah m'home flower, got the whole weekend off,” he says turning to you and sending you a sweet smile.
“Really?! oh! Could we go to the park?” She asks, kicking her legs back and forth as Leon continues to hold her.
“Yeah of course we can” he smiles, turning his head to press a kiss to her cheek, the sight completely melts you.
“Even y/n?” Adeline wonders, turning to you with a hopeful gleam in her eyes. It makes your chest warm with love. You watch as Leon’s eyebrows rise, waiting for your response.
You smile, “Of course, I would” and with that Adeline lets out a giggle of excitement, clasping her hands together before a big yawn interrupts her which in turn makes Leon chuckle.
“Come on sleepyhead let’s get you to bed yeah? We’ve got a busy day tomorrow” he says, putting her down on the floor, her small hand tugging on his. “You go ahead, I’ll be up in a minute Addy,” he says watching as she runs back up the stairs.
There’s a beat of silence before Leon turns back to you, a loving smile adorning his features, “Go wait for me in my room, I’ll be there in a few” he says, tucking your hair behind your ear before dropping a sweet kiss to your cheek.
You look up at him, taking his hand in yours before he has the chance to leave. “Are- are you sure?” You whisper, not wanting him to feel like this was all a mistake.
The softness in his eyes makes your skin heat up, and you can feel his hand pressing against your lower back, “Only if you are honey” he says, hand soothing your back. He smiles at the way you nod, excitement tingling in his heart.
"Go on then, m'sure you know where my room is by now sweet thing," he says dropping a kiss to your cheek, watching as you carefully walk up the stairs making sure to steer clear of the creaky floorboards, and Leon, for once, doesn't find him questioning himself.

Does Whatever A Spider Can
Pairing: Daddy!Stucky x little f!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You’ve spent the day with Peter. And picked up some new habits...
A/N: So I have like 9 WIPs and I swear I will get to them but this woke me up at 4 am and I can’t let it go sooooooooo :D
Warnings: DD-LG (SSC), f! reader, reader is named but name scarcely used, language, reader is a bit of a daredevil, grumpy totally not jealous Daddy, threat of punishment, fluffity fluff fluff fluff.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN MEDIA CONSUMPTION. THIS STORY IS SFW- THE REST OF MY BLOG IS NOT NECESSARILY SO. MINORS DNI. I DO NOT CONSENT FOR MY WORK TO BE STOLEN, COPIED, OR TRANSLATED ONTO ANY OTHER SITE BUT MY OWN. Likes, comments and reblogs are deeply appreciated.
Bucky knew it was a mistake before they even dropped you off.
Fury had a mission for him, Steve, and Natasha- one that required both diplomacy and stealth, hence all three of them being called up. It was to be a quick one, so Steve asked Pepper if you could hang out with her and Peter for the day. You were so excited- you had been missing hanging out with your bestie one-on-one and this was the perfect opportunity. You begged Daddy to let you wear your favorite shortalls with your favorite pink shirt, as this was a special occasion. He of course obliged you, but something didn’t hit him right at that- you never wanted to dress up for anything that wasn’t Halloween.
You were so excited when you got to Tony’s apartment that you barely remembered to say goodbye to your daddies after hurtling yourself at Peter, who caught you in a huge hug. Bucky had to holler goodbye loudly to get you to realize that they were leaving, at which point you detached yourself from your bestie. You ran back to the both of them, giving them big, hard hugs and a sloppy kiss on the cheek. You giggled and raced away with Peter, ready to begin your adventure.
Bucky was a bit nonplussed at your behavior, but Steve was chuckling. “Looks like the two of them are going to be nice and worn out by the end of the day,” he grinned at Pepper. She laughed once, low.
“Hopefully, there’s enough caffeine in this apartment for me to keep up with them,” she joked back. “You all be careful, see you tonight.”
The mission went perfectly well, exactly as they’d all hoped. But Bucky couldn’t keep his mind off you. He felt a confusing stab of jealousy remembering your eagerness to spend the day with Peter, but he shut that down immediately. That was ridiculous. He wasn’t jealous. You were HIS baby, you...just were excited, that’s all. You’d be just as excited to see him when he came back. Right?
And you were. Just not the way he expected.
They picked you up (literally- Bucky couldn’t stand to not possessively have you in his arms after the entire day) from the Starks. Pepper was happy to report that you’d been an angel all day- you and Peter had come to the table the first time she’d called, eaten your lunches, went down for naps without complaints. Outside of that, the two of you had been in Peter’s playroom all day, giggling and playing and having a grand time. Steve and Bucky thanked Pepper profusely, and after you all said goodbye, headed home.
Steve rubbed your back and kissed your cheek. “I’m so proud of you for being such a good girl today, angel,” he said, grinning from ear to ear.
You wiggled in pleasure. “Me and Petey had so much fun today, Papa! We did ALL the things!”
“Yeah? What did you do?”
“ALL the things!”
Steve laughed at your joy, and Bucky bounced you a bit, feeling better having you so near. You turned your attention to him. “Daddy, Petey showed me how he sticks to da walls!!”
“He did, did he?” Bucky said, a red flag suddenly popping up in his brain. You hadn’t earned your nickname ‘Trouble’ for no reason...
“Yeah, he’s sooooo good at it. Imma learn to stick to walls too!”
“Yeah, not gonna happen, Trouble. I ain’t letting you within ten feet of some souped-up science spider.”
“I don’t wanna do it like THAT! Silly Daddy.”
“Then how exactly are you planning on sticking to the walls?”
“I gonna ask Unca Tony to make me something to stick to walls!”
“No, you’re not,” Bucky said, suddenly grumpy. He gave Steve an annoyed look when Steve failed to hide a small snort of laughter. Steve immediately tried to smooth his face out, but he couldn’t quite get one corner of his mouth to turn down. He looked back at you with his best Daddy Eye. “You could get hurt, and you know that’s against the rules.”
“But Petey doesn’t get hurt! And I watcheded him fall lots today. You hafta fall on the SOFT things so you don’t get hurt,” you explained patiently, thinking that Daddy just simply didn’t understand how it all worked. You were more than happy to educate him.
Bucky just sighed. Hopefully, once they got you home and got you distracted by your own toys and maybe a bribe or two  that you’d drop it.
Silly Daddy.
The second you entered the apartment, they got your shoes off you and your feet hit the floor. You raced into the living room, eager to show them what you learned. Steve didn’t even have time to remind you to not run before you reached your destination. You clambered up onto the big sectional sofa, standing on the cushions. “See?? Watch what I can do!”
“Hey! Get down, right now,” Bucky scolded loudly, but you’d already begun your descent. You flung your body into the soft cushions, giggling madly. You popped your head up, grinning wildly.
“See? I fall on the SOFT things!” you said triumphantly. You scrambled up and flung yourself down again, laughing like crazy. Suddenly, you felt yourself swooped up into a pair of strong arms.
“I’m very glad that you learned to fall on soft thing, kitten,” Papa said, nuzzling your nose with his and smiling. “But this is starting to look like when you ran into the sliding glass door. Remember that?”
You blinked up at him innocently. “But Papa, dat was HARD. Dis is SOFT.”
“And you can sometimes get hurt on the soft things, too. You don’t want to get hurt again, do you? We don’t do dangerous things, right?”
“Right, Papa!” you said, eager to please. But you had to add, “But dis doesn’t hurt?” You were confused as to why this was maybe dangerous.
“Tell you what- we can make a pillow pile later and fall into that together. That way, Daddy and Papa can make sure you don’t get hurt and we can all play together. Does that sound good?”
“Yeah! Is good!!”
“Okay then. So no more falling into the couch cushions right now. Got it?”
“Got it, Papa!”
“Good girl. I’m going to go shower, why don’t you tell Daddy about the rest of your time with Peter today?” Steve said, failing to hide his grin at the increasingly grumpy look on Bucky’s face as he watched the two of you. He knew Bucky would rather keep you from flinging yourself around altogether, but the odds of you not doing that were now slim to none. At least this way, they had a measure of control over it. Steve pecked Bucky on the mouth cheekily as he passed you to him and got a grunt in return. He laughed as he made his way to the shower.
Bucky sat down on the sofa to cuddle you into his lap. You stayed for exactly three seconds before wiggling away and standing up on the couch again. “Hey! What did Papa just say?” he scolded again, hands darting out to hold you in place.
“He said no falling,” you replied innocently. “I not gonna fall, Daddy.”
“You might if you stand on the couch cushions. Don’t do it again.”
“But-”
“I said no. No climbing, no falling, no...flinging. Got it?”
“But what about da pillows later?”
“That’s later. Right now, just...don’t. No climbing. None.”
“You no fun,” you pouted, plopping down on your bottom, adorable consternation on your face. Before Bucky could figure out a way to prove that he was fun- he was Sergeant Daddy, after all- his phone rang. Out of pure annoyance, he stood up and answered it. “What?” he snarled into it, turning his back to you so you wouldn’t get upset at his tone.
You took this opportunity to crawl up onto the top of the sofa, like you’d watched Petey do to the walls today, just because you simply could not sit still. You crawled along the area that was against the wall and turned the corner to the part that was separating the living room from the dining room, moving stealthily like a superhero. You felt so awesome and it was so much fun! Until your left hand slipped.
You let out a squeak of surprise as you fell, bracing yourself for the impact. But it never came.
A silver hand shot out over the back of the couch, snatching the back straps of your shortalls when you were a mere two inches above the ground. You felt yourself being lifted up, up, up, until you were nose to nose with a very displeased looking Daddy. You smiled at him and waved happily.
“I’m going to have to call you back,” he growled into the phone, then tossed it on the couch. He kept you dangling in the air with the stern look on his face. “What did I just tell you not thirty seconds ago?” he said, his tone indicating that he was not to be messed with right now. That sobered you up in an instant.
“No climbing on the sofa,” you replied meekly from your mid-air position.
“So you wanna give me a reason why you deliberately disobeyed me the moment my back was turned?”
“I didn’t, Daddy!”
“Excuse me?!”
“I didn’t climb on the sofa!”
“Oh really? Now you’re gonna try to lie about it?”
“No! Not lying! I didn’t climb on it. I crawled on it.” You smiled sweetly at him, tilting your head in that adorable way that he couldn’t resist.
Bucky’s face morphed from furious to resigned in an instant. You were well and truly nicknamed. “Trouble,” he said wearily, still holding you aloft. “How about you just TELL me what you and Peter did today? If you keep trying to demonstrate it, you’re gonna give me heart failure.”
“Okay, Daddy! Can I sit in your lap and tell you all the things?”
Bucky took comfort in that, trying to hold onto the fact that you wanted to be close to him and tell him everything instead of the ridiculous jealousy that was trying to worm its way in every time you mentioned that little shit Peter’s name. He plopped you down on his lap and cuddled you as you excitedly shared your adventures with him.
Meanwhile, Steve had stuffed a washcloth in his mouth while in the shower to keep Bucky from hearing him laugh. His grumpy, grumpy love.

Kisses for Bad Days
Alfie Solomons x Fem!Reader
Warnings: talking about depression, language
Tumblr media
A/N: A few days ago I was having what I call a “low day”. Transparently I’m going through my summer of healing, so I’m doing a lot of heart work and sometimes I get down. So I wrote this to just… idk cope I guess. If anyone struggles with this kind of stuff, just know you’re loved, and you’re wanted and needed. - Mo
As an aside, I’m running out of ideas!! Send me some ideas if you wantttt!!
The day started out well enough. The weather had finally turned a sweet cool, and there was a beautiful sunrise. You and Alfie shared a good strong cup of tea, he read the morning paper to you, and you gave a him more than a few kisses goodbye as he left for the office.
It was setting up to be a good day. You had a list of chores you wanted to get done, and a great meal planned out for tonight. It should have been a good day. It should have. It really should have.
Nothing, happened, per say. It was just your thoughts getting in the way. It had been like this for a few years now. Where you would get your hopes up for a good day. Have your plan. Get excited for the day. But as the day went on, you felt your body aches, your heart turning heavy, and your mind would just race without peace. Sometimes, you could control it and push through. But some days. Some days you could only lay back down and cry. Ever since you’ve started living with Alfie, you tried to keep your crying to a minimum, not letting him see you. But he’d caught you sometimes. And he’d worry and caress you, asking what was wrong, if he had done anything. Bless him. He didn’t do anything. He never did anything. Nothing happened. Nothing caused it. It just… washed over you. Shrouded you like a massive blanket that you couldn’t get out from under.
Today was a crying day. You did the best you could. The laundry was never folded. The grand meal in your mind turned into pot roast to roast in the fire for the rest of the day. Then you just crawled into bed. Laying there. Staring into space, watch the plaster on the walls change in shape. Listening to the wind and voices outside your window. Hours passed. Tears fell. And soon enough the evening sun came, and the front door rustled with the sound of Alfie’s boots.
“Darling! Sweetheart I’m home! Oh it smells great my dove. Dove? Darling?”
When Alfie heard the rustling of the sheets, he knew what kind of day it was. He just sighed, taking off his jacket and boots. He hated seeing you like this. Not because it was inconvenient or bothersome. No, just because it broke something deep within him. His darling, suffering so. Alfie was someone who found the solutions. Always had the answer. Always was able to piece together the broken china, fix the squeaky door, figure out where the draft was coming from. That’s what he does. He makes his sweet heart smile. Makes her day better. That’s what he does. It’s his joy.
Alfie knows the sadness is no one’s fault. He knows that it just is, and maybe one day it’ll leave you. He just wishes he could take it from you. He wishes that if anything, he could hold it for you. He felt helpless not being able to carry it for you. All he could do was be there.
He find you huddled in the sheets and quilts that you’ve made and collected. No longer in the dress he left you in. Your hair is loose, spread around you like another blanket, and you have one of his shirts wrapped right around you like a shield. Alfie changes from his outside clothes, and lifts the sheets and blankets up, “All right little bird, scoot over yeah? Yeah let me get next to you. No no don’t worry about your face and tears I don’t wanna hear it. Now come here, tell your old husband what’s the matter. What’s got my little wife upset. Your mind playing tricks again eh?”
You buried your face in his chest, just letting the tears flow freely. Alfie just hummed to you, patting the top of your head. Eventually, your breathing evens out, and you let your fingers trace the unruly curls on his chest. You finally feel ready to talk, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me Alfie.”
“No no nothing, is wrong with you pet. Ollie, he’s got something wrong with him, that silly little boy. You are perfect sweet heart. So what you let your tears ruin all my shirts?”
“Alfie!!!!!”
“Oh my dove I am just teasing you. No no don’t be cross with me please treacle. You know those shirts were ruined before we even met.”
He places his palm beneath your quivering chin, tilting your face to look up at him, "You're safe little bird. No one is upset with you. You've done nothing wrong my darling."
Though his words were so soothing to your racing mind, you still felt the tears well up, "I just don't want you to feel like I'm a burden."
Alfie shook his head quickly, kissing the tip of your nose, "You've never been a burden to me dove. Frankly, I wish you would be more of a burden. A little too independent, leaving your poor old husband in the dust."
You let out a small giggle, and Alfie felt his heart lighten, and he just pressed your closer to him, "Oh my sweet girl. My sweet sweet girl. I know it hurts. I know. But I'll always be here to hold you. You trust me?"
You nodded kissing the corner of his mouth, "I trust you Alfie."
"Good, but you missed treacle lets try that again yeah?"
You couldn't help but roll your eyes and try to push him away, but his strong arms just pulled you right next to him, allowing him to pepper your face with his scratchy and bushy kisses. Once you both were thoroughly out of breath from roughhousing, Alfie just stared into your eyes, pushing the stray hair out of your face, "I love you so much darling. More than you know. Why don't you take a bath, and meet me in the parlor? We'll listen to the radio and play cards?"
You nodded in assent, kissing him gently but fully.
Days like this were hard. Sometimes it felt like the loneliest island in the world. But with Alfie, there was a saving grace. There you could escape from the loneliness and find safe harbor in his arms. With Alfie, you could survive anything. You could thrive. You could have a beautiful evening. You can feel love where you still need to love yourself.

Miscommunication
Giyuu Tomioka x gn!reader
I will be doing this for the other pillars (except it'll be platonic for Muichiro cause baby)
Tumblr media
This is a "wait, don't leave me" kinda prompt so it's slightly angsty but ends in fluff
Fighting never really occurred between the two of you. It’s usually one-sided as he never raises his voice at you. However, tonight is a night where he had ignored you for days up until his mission and left without saying anything much less a goodbye. You were heartbroken at the thought that he may not return and the last thing that happened between you guys wasn’t a warm embrace and a kiss goodbye. He promised he’d never leave you like that and it truly hurt you inside.
You were sitting in the engawa of your home eyes staring off into the distance with a blank expression. It had been three weeks of not hearing anything from Giyuu and that thought alone made you sick to your stomach. Why did he have to be so infuriating? Did he not love you anymore and that’s why he avoided you before leaving for his mission? You could feel the tears build up in your eyes. Before one could fall you hear a familiar caw of Giyuu’s crow as it lands next to you. “Giyuu is in the butterfly estate! CAW! Many injuries! CAW!” Your eyes widen at the news and you immediately throw on your shoes and run to the butterfly estate.
Stumbling into the estate and going through the halls to where you know they kept the pillars. You paused outside the door, unsure if you should open it. Would he even want to see you? From how he left, it didn’t seem like you were important enough to him anymore. Before you could turn back to your own home, the door opened to Shinobu standing there with a soft smile, “Ara ara~ You came all this way in such a pretty yukata, (N/N)-san.” You try to stutter something out when she softly raises her hand, “He’s awake and waiting for you to take him home. He’s not going to say it, but he may need some help walking.” You nod softly and add a small “Thank you, Nobu-san.” She pats your head as she walks past you, leaving you standing in front of the now-open door. You looked down at your hands before taking a deep breath and looking up at Giyuu sitting up in his bed. Eyes already glued to your form. You step closer and hesitantly reach your hand out to him, afraid he won’t take it as you try not to let your words tremble, “Let’s get you home,” as you offer a soft smile that doesn’t reach your eyes. He grabs your hand firmly before standing up and taking the lead toward his estate. You watch as he limps slightly and every now and then grips your hand in pain. Even though it didn’t end well between you two recently, he seems to be acting like things never happened. You were worried at the obvious, well obvious to you, pain that he’s in. The small changes in his face show that this isn’t some measly injury.
“You could lean on me a bit if you need to Tomioka-san,” he cringes at the use of his last name, “I know it must hurt-” “I’m fine. We're almost at the estate anyways.” You sigh at being cut off and pull away from his loosened grip. He side-eyes you seeing you look at the ground. He wanted to hold your hand again, but before he could reach out, you crossed your arms around your chest with your eyes downcast. There was a pang in his heart at how sad you looked. You’ve been on his mind every day for the past few weeks and wanted nothing more than to be wrapped up by you and have your home cooking. Why do you seem so distant all of a sudden? He was about to open his mouth when you stopped walking, making him stop as well. You were both standing in front of his estate and looking at the house, then down at you. “Well, I saw you to your estate. I hope you have a speedy recovery Tomioka-san.” He grunted at the name you used again. “My estate? Tomioka?” you look up at him with sad eyes, “Since when has it stopped being our estate? When have I become Tomioka to you?” He asked softly looking into your eyes brimming with tears. With anger rising in you at his clear obliviousness you couldn’t help the rise in your voice as the tears fell down your face. “Since you avoided me for days before you left for a mission, that I had no idea about!” you yell as you put your finger into his chest, “You treated me as if I were some ghost in our-... your home. You didn’t even say goodbye!” You pushed his chest slightly, making him take a step back with widened eyes. “Y-You made a promise to never leave me like that! If you didn’t want me around anymore you could’ve just said something!” “(Y/N)-” “No! You don’t get to just leave me scared about whether we’re still together, then disappear without even as much as a goodbye! I was scared that the next thing I’d hear from you was your crow telling me you died!!” You’re practically heaving from the built-up agony and rage from the past few weeks.
Giyuu looks down at the ground feeling nothing but dread. He didn’t notice that he was distancing himself before the mission, and he was so distracted by the importance of this one because it was in your hometown. He needed to make sure everyone was safe there so that he could return to you and let you know your family was taken care of. He came back to his senses hearing the muffled sobs coming from you and he went to reach out to your shaking form only for you to rush past him in the direction of your own estate. The panic had finally set in within him as he saw your retreating figure. Injury be damned, he can’t lose you. Especially not like this. Even with his leg searing in pain, he ran after you and thankfully caught up to you quickly. His arms wrapped around you tightly with his hands grabbing your wrists as you try to struggle out of his grip. His face immediately goes into the crook of your neck trying to think of what he could say to fix things. You were finally the one good thing in his life that he managed to have, he didn’t want to lose you over his inability to communicate. “Let me go. Let me go,” you sob. “Never,” he said loud enough to make you stop struggling. “I’m never letting you go. Not like this. You can’t leave me alone like this, please,” you’re sniffling as you listen to him. He’s sure now you aren’t going to run away again, he carefully turns you to face him. You refuse to look him in the eyes as puts a finger under your chin to make you face him. You heave a sigh as you look into his eyes making your tired, puffy eyes widen slightly at the serene gaze and gentle smile on his lips. “(Y/N), I have to give you a genuine apology, but first I want to explain myself. I was given the details of a mission that had distracted me. I was worried and trying to think of a plan to execute this one as it was in your hometown,” your breath hitches as your hands go up to his chest and scrunch the material with your fingers. You were about to ask about your family but were stopped by his next words, “I was there in time, to save your family. As well as many others. I was worried I wouldn’t get to them in time, but I didn’t want to worry you about it before I went as you would have worried even more.” He took a pause as he noticed you melting into him and he finally cupped your face, wiping the tears from your face. “Then why did you not say goodbye? You promised you’d never leave without saying goodbye,” you whispered softly. He smiled gently and lifted your forehead up to his lips before placing a soft peck that had you wrapping your arms around his waist and resting your head against his chest. “I have always kept that promise. Did you not see the note I left, my pearl? I know you were in deep sleep when you didn’t even flinch at the kiss I left you,” his tone became teasing at the end as he pressed a kiss to your temple. You stiffen in his hold before pulling back with tears in your eyes again. “N-Note?” you stuttered out, feeling flustered and embarrassed at missing it. “I would never leave you like that. I’m sorry you ever thought I would do such a thing,” he said softly as he rested his forehead against yours before taking a deep breath, just happy to have you in his arms. You savor the moment, feeling whole again before remembering he’s injured and probably hungry. Pulling back you grab his hands guiding him back to his estate, “Let’s get you home. You need rest and I’ll make your favorite to make up for today,” you smile sheepishly. “Our home?” he asked with hope in his eyes. You step closer to him, putting your hand against his cheek, and watching him lean into it with a small sigh. “Our home,” you smile.

Reunion Prompts
“I’m—“, you start, and they shake their head and walk away, “… sorry.”
Panic and (try to) hide behind something/someone.
“I’m afraid I’ll wake up and realize this was just a dream.”
“I missed you.”
Long hug that expresses everything you can’t say out loud.
“Are you a hologram? A ghost maybe?”
“Please don’t leave me again.”
Barricade yourself in the bathroom/etc.
“I don’t want to see you.”
You can’t tear your eyes away from them.
“I’m happier now.”
“Didn’t expect to see you again.”
Withdraw your hand/etc. quickly after a(n accidental) touch.
“I told you I’d find my way back to you.” / “I promised you I would come back.”
“Don’t act like nothing happened.”
Make your peace and then say goodbye forever.
“Could we pretend that nothing ever happened/we never separated/etc.? Just for tonight?”
“Of course this is when/how I see you again.”
“You look…”
“I’m only doing this/here for B.”
Count down the minutes/etc. until you’re home/etc. and can finally let out all your emotions.
“Good to see you again.”
“You have no right to get jealous! Not after all this time. Not after you left me/etc.”
“Look what the cat dragged in.”
Having dreamt of this opportunity, you know exactly what you want to tell them. (Or, well, you knew.)
“I feel like we/I traveled through time. Any second now, a time portal will open, suck us/me in and spit us/me out into reality.”
“You’re seeing A too, right? This is not just…?”
“I’ve missed your hugs/smell/sarcasm/etc.”
Pretend to not care about them being here. Yet, it is all you can think about and focus on.
“Don’t think I forgot that you still owe me that dinner/etc. you promised me three years ago/etc.”
“We can’t go back to how we were.”
Don’t feel anything upon seeing them again.
“Why did you come?”
Afraid to your close eyes. Afraid that they’ll slip away in that very second and leave your life forever.
You are rooted to the spot.
“Leave (me alone).”
“I thought about you a lot.”
“Do you ever think about what could have been?”
Notice that they are still wearing a piece of jewelry/etc. you gifted them back then.
“You hurt me.”
“If I would have wanted to see them/you again, I would have found a way.”
“Why did you do that? (Why did you break up with me?)”
“Did you really mean what you said back then?”
“Someone pinch me. I think I’m dreaming.”
Hear them say your name again after all this time.
“I’m sorry. I know you said you didn’t want to see them/me again, but…”
Pretend to be happy about where you are in life.
“I don’t even recognize you anymore.”
“I’m sorry. (I was an idiot back then for letting you go.)”
The reunion doesn’t go as you thought/hoped it would.
“I’m sorry. Do I know you?”
Leaves/Slams door shut upon seeing you.
“I want to believe so badly that I can trust you. But I can’t. Not after…”
“Oh my god. I had forgotten about that.”
They have replaced you, and all you can do is watch.
“Did you know they/I were/was going to be here?”
“It’s too late. You’re too late.”
Search for similarities to the person you once knew.
“Did your voice always sound like that?”
Edge your way closer to them without realizing.
“You chose this. You wanted this.”
“I’m still in love with you.”

My Little Man (Steddie X You) (Part of HFOD and SS Universe)
Tumblr media
A/N: I guess you guys would call this season 3? Lol. My angst hella took over as well as some feelings I've been dealing with lately.
Enjoy please <3.
Part of this Universe
Warnings: Demon Steddie & Human Fem Reader, No SMUT in this one, FLUFF, they love each other and their son. Demon Steddie is navigating how to be human while taking care of a pregnant Y/N.
ANGST: More or less the normal level of angst that comes with this series. The theme is grief and PTSD (from a soldiers perspective). Y/N is still struggling with the notion of her parents not being there to see Ellis grow up and the guys (especially Steve) is struggling with being raised how they were and taught to fight. Eddie struggles with feelings of enabling because of everything they went through.
The dreams probably have the most feels. They talk to their loved ones and Ellis says goodbye. Steve has nightmares that involve his dad being a dick (of course) and something that happens within one angers Eddie (blood briefly mentioned).
Word Count: 6398
"Don't you know I love you more than life itself Don't you know that you're my pride And I would not have you walking through this world Without me by your side
Go to sleep my little man Don't you weep my little man"
3 Months Pregnant
Steve sits on the bench outside of the library he had just exited from, sighing heavily as he closed his eyes and threw his head back.
Ever since the three of you got home, he and Eddie had been doing research on which human job they would best be suited for in your realm but were struggling to find much of anything. For him, it was even more difficult since he was raised to be a solider. He genuinely didn’t know how to do anything else and it didn’t help that even though you explained a lot of human behavior, he still felt slightly ignorant with many things.
“May I sit?” The demon jumped at the sound of a gravelly voice beside him. “Oh, shit. Sorry, son. I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“No, it’s alright. Um, please.”, he gestures towards the area beside him causing the man to flash him a thankful grin as he takes a seat.
“How long?”
“I’m sorry?”
“I asked how long. I know the look of a fellow veteran trying to figure out how to adapt to a civilian lifestyle. How long has it been since you saw combat?”
“Oh, uh, it’s…it’s been a few years. But I did it the bulk of my life.”
“I can imagine with you being so young. I bet one of your parents was a solider as well?”
“Wow. Yeah, that’s amazing. How did you…?”
“I told you, son. I know the look.”, the man chuckles as he extends his hand. “Truman Duvall; Ex Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army.”
“Steven Harrington. Um, Sergeant in the US Army. Well, Ex.”, Steve laughs nervously as he hopes his memory of things he’s learned about humans in the past is still up to date.
“Nice to meet you. If I may ask, what were you thinking so hard about specifically?”
“My girlfriend is pregnant and I’m trying to find a job so I can help support my family. I want my son to have a better life then I did but I have no idea where to start.”
“Congratulations on the little bundle! I have four myself, two of them grown and out of the house already. My wife pretends like she’s glad they’re out but she misses them.”, he laughs. “I don’t know if you would be willing but down the street here, we have a recreation center where veterans go to relax and let loose. They’ve been looking for a counselor to lead the group therapy. I think you’d be a good fit.”
“Yeah? Um, I guess I could…”
“Look, you don’t even have to make a decision right now. Why don’t meet me there tonight? We’re having a little party get together thing. Of course, you can bring the girlfriend and you both can meet the person in charge. See if you feel comfortable.”
“O-Ok. I, um…” Steve pauses as he debates on if he should tell the truth about Eddie. That was a fight they had when it came to going home. He had been afraid that they would have to hide their relationship and he never wanted to hide or be hidden when it came to the man he loved. But this is also where he wanted to raise his son and he didn’t want to cause a commotion before you four even had a chance to settle in. What would Eddie do?
“Can I bring my boyfriend as well? He’s a veteran to. We actually met during our tour.”
Truman’s mouth pouted out ever so slightly as his eyebrows lifted in surprise.
“Oh, um, sure! The more the merrier.”
***
“Steven, oh my God, that’s amazing!”, you exclaim as you wrap your arms around his neck. “I’m so happy for you.”
“Hang on, now. I don’t have a job yet but…”
“Don’t sell yourself short, bud.”, Eddie grins from his place on the kitchen counter.
“I hope it’s ok that I kind of…announced…our relationship. We actually didn’t talk about what we wanted to do but I know if we had stayed in our realm I’d want to be honest.”
The long-haired demon opened his arms and Steve promptly placed himself between his legs with his back against his chest while Eddie rested his chin on his shoulder.
“I’m glad you did. I love you and I’m not hiding that.”
“Me either.”, you smiled as they beamed right back.
Suddenly, the happiness drains from your face before you turn and bolt towards the bathroom. You three had been home for a couple of months and within the past week some of the normal symptoms of pregnancy began springing up such as the morning sickness you were currently experiencing.
“It’s alright, baby. Get it all out.”, Eddie tries to sooth as he holds your hair into a makeshift ponytail. As soon as you were finished, you fell back into his arms and thanked Steve when he handed you a bottle of water.
“This is normal, right? Humans get nauseas like this.”, he asked.
“Yeah, honey. It’s normal. I’m alright. I think I’m going to take a nap so I can be 100% for tonight.”
“Y/N, you don’t have to go.”
“No, Steve, I want to go. I want to see where you’ll be and the people you’ll be around.”
################
“Steve! You made it.”, Truman shouts excitedly as he reaches out to shake the boy’s hand. “You must be the girlfriend.”
“Hi. I’m Y/N.”
“Y/N. What a beautiful name for a beautiful woman and this is your…boyfriend? Right, son?”
“Yes, sir. This is Edward.”
“It’s nice to meet you. Steve said you’re a veteran as well. Were you a sergeant like himself?”
“Oh, uh, no. I was more of a private I guess you’d say. But we spent a lot of time together especially on the battlefield.”
“Wow and for you two to still be so close and find a relationship through all that chaos! That’s amazing. I always tell my wife if she met me during my tour she would have hated me. A lot of civilians don’t understand the headspace you have to fall into to do what we have to do.”
Both demon’s nod in understanding and you can’t help but softly smile as you watch them interact with the other people around them. Steve was definitely in his element and you could tell in some way he felt more comfortable in this setting because he was around beings who seemed to understand what they both went through. As his new friend spoke, his eyes remained intense and focused as he absorbed everything he said.
Eddie excused himself to grab some drinks but became distracted talking to another couple and began to laugh at something they were saying. The first time you met him he expressed a particular distain for humans but he seemed to open up more since they were freed, finding something interesting in each person he interacted with.
“Hey, this is my girlfriend Y/N.”, he introduces when you walk over to check on him. “Y/N, this is Lisa and Shawn Bennett. Lisa did a tour in the Air Force flying jets and Shawn was a DJ overseas.”
“Oh wow. For the military or just on your own?”
“For the military. I’m kind of like that Cronauer guy they made the movie about. I read the reports and played music I thought would lift the troops spirits.”, the man explains.
“Kind of like me.”, Eddie whispers in your ear making you smile. “What do you two do now if I may ask? Steve and I have been searching for employment but we have no idea what would fit us.”
“Well, I actually own a store of my own selling books and comics; things like that. I’m a bit of a nerd.”, Lisa laughs.
“And I teach media and music courses at the local community college up here.”
“That sounds like a lot of fun actually. Are they looking for another music teacher because Eddie is an amazing musician.”
“Yeah? Unfortunately, they aren’t but you should consider maybe starting your own business as well. You can teach kids to play guitar or any other instruments you know and you can do it from your house or maybe the music store downtown is hiring.”
“Are you looking for a job to, Y/N? I’m trying to hire someone to help me with my shop.”, Lisa offers with a smile.
“Oh, I’d love that. I’m, uh, I’m actually pregnant though and I wouldn’t want to leave you stranded after you just hired me.”
“That’s fantastic! Don’t even worry about it. You don’t seem very far along yet. I can teach you the ropes before you give birth and that way when you come back, you’ll already know what to do!”
As you glance at Eddie, his eyes widen with encouragement as he nods his head.
“Ok, I’d love to work for you.”
Lisa claps and gives you a big hug as your demon beams behind you.
***
“Hello fellow veterans, spouses, and partners! Glad you could all join us tonight. I hope you are having some much needed fun! I do have just a quick announcement to make. I would like to introduce you to Steven Harrington who is new to Hawkins and after speaking with him I feel like he will be a great addition to our center here as the group counselor.” The man at the podium smiles as he gestures towards the demon and everyone around the room claps. “Steve, why don’t you introduce yourself?”
When he hesitates, you gently push him forward, urging him softly before he relents and nervously climbs up the makeshift stage.
“Um, hi. Sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve been seen by so many people.” The people chuckle as you and Eddie grin knowingly. “Like Thomas said, I’m, uh, new to Hawkins but my girlfriend is from here and my partner and I thought it would be better for her to be back home where she felt safe with her family so we can start raising our own. I-I-I…shit I used to better at this.”, he chuckles before glancing your way, your gentle smile comforting him.
“I was raised in a military household. My dad was a solider so that’s what I was expected to be. As soon as I was able, he handed me a weapon and commanded I train to be the best. There was no wiggle room there. It was all or nothing. When I saw war…I shut down and did what I had to. I took no pleasure in killing, contrary to popular belief.”
“The worst part about shutting down that way was how it flowed into my every day. I was as an asshole to everyone including women I dated and people I trained… except for some of the people closest to me…Robin, Chrissy, and Eddie. When Edward and I got out…I felt so out of control…so lost. I lost my identity and everything I knew. If I didn’t have him by my side… Then we met Y/N and without her we literally wouldn’t be here today.”
Steve paused, looking out into the crowd, and realizing he may be talking too much.
“Sorry. I’m sorry. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I’ll do whatever I can to help.”
The people in the room clap as he steps off the stage and you immediately wrap your arms around his waist as Eddie lightly caresses his cheek.

You beam at Eddie as he softly strums his instrument. That day after Shawn suggested it, he went down to the music store in town and applied for the job as a guitar instructor. After playing and showing off for them he got the job. He loved hearing the kids try and play reminding him of the children he watched over with Steve during their war.
Today was everyone’s day off so they were being lazy in bed with you in your pajamas and both demons in nothing but their sweats.
“Ok, this thing here says for humans you should be feeling him move around now.”, Steve announced as he gestured towards the book he was reading.
“I haven’t felt him move yet unless the occasional nausea is him saying hello.”, you giggle. Leaning over him, you grab his hand and place it on the middle of your stomach. “Talk to him.”
“Uh, I…hey, Ellis. It’s, um, your daddy. I’m not scaring him with my voice, right?”
“No, baby.”, you grin as you pet his head. “This is how he’ll get used to it though. Hearing and seeing you both in your demon form.”
“Buddy, you have no reason to be afraid of us in any form. I’m sorry your dads aren’t as beautiful as you and your mom but—”
“Hey, speak for yourself.”, Eddie teases making you laugh. “I’m a sexy motherfucker.”
“Oh.”
“What?”, Steve’s eyes shift up excitedly.
“You didn’t feel that?”
When he shakes his head, you place his hand closer to the side you felt movement, gesturing for the other demon to do the same.
“Say something else.”
“Hey Ellis. This is your other daddy and I assure you we are very handsome.”
“Holy shit.”, Steve exhales as he grins up towards his partner. “That’s amazing.”
“I’m glad you agree, kid.”, Eddie smiles.

6 Months Pregnant
Eddie growls at the crib he was trying to assemble as his glowing red eyes glare at the instructions again. Over these past couple of months, you three had made your dad’s old room your bedroom and begun shifting the room you used to sleep in into Ellis’s.
Going off his personality from your dreams, you painted the room blue with images of guitars along the base boards and up along the ridges of the ceiling. Near where his crib would be, you put up pictures of everyone in his family that loved him including Robin, Wayne, Dustin, and everyone who had passed that he had been conversing with these past six months.
The boys were able to get everything a baby would need from your realm but also from theirs including those books that Eddie had wrote and some toys demons normally played with at a young age.
“Whoever invented these contraptions should be tortured for eternity.”, Eddie grunted as he tried again putting a few of the pieces together.
“You guys don’t have cribs in your realm?”
“Yeah but they were like boxes essentially. Or at least mine was. I’m sure Steven had gold porcelain or some shit.”
“No.”, Steve chuckled as he took the wrong part from his partner’s hand and handed him the correct one. “I had a regular little wooden thing with soft blankets.”
“I wish I could see what you two were like as kids.”
Since they left Maeve, they weren’t able to snap memories into your head like they were before. It hurt them more than you because you always seemed curious about them and they wished they could show you everything from their point of view, not Henry’s or Mirage’s.
“How much did Mirage show you?”
“She showed me big events more than anything. Steve always looking for his parents especially your mom. She did play sword fight with you once and you looked so happy until your dad yelled at her for ‘ruining your training’.” You rolled your eyes as Steve pet your head and sighed. “Eddie, I did see what your uncle told me about with your mom singing to you.” The demon’s glow receded in his eyes as he glanced your way with a small smile.
“Until my father told her to shut up?”
Tilting forward, you crawled over his work to kiss his lips making his smile widen as he caressed your face.
“What about your parents, honey?”
“Both my parents were amazing. My dad always loved to make us laugh. He liked being a girl dad and my mom exploited that.”, you giggle. “She would make him wear tutus while I would do his makeup and they both would dance.”
A tear left your eyes and both demons promptly gave you their attention.
“I’m sorry you guys don’t have your parents here. You both deserve better.”
“Baby, it’s ok—”
“Eddie it’s not okay.”
“Will you let me finish?”, he jokes. “It’s ok because I had my mom and I had Wayne. Then as I got older I got my other family. Steven, Robin, Chrissy, and even Dustin. Now, sweetheart, I have you two and Ellis. I couldn’t be happier.”
“I agree. I’m thankful for the memories I do have with my mom but the kids I trained and beings I fought with…that was my family. I’m so excited to see what’s in store for us, you know. See what Ellis is going to do with his life.”
You smiled as you kissed their lips before you wince and lean away.
“Ow. Little butthead is kicking my side.”
“Hey, kid.”, Eddie teases as he tilts towards your tummy. “Why don’t you stop hurting your mother and come help me make your torture technic of a crib.”

8 months Pregnant
You, Steve, and Eddie walked into the house you three had been in so many times these last few months except now it was completely empty. All the furniture and everything was completely absent as you entered the living room full of people.
“Ellis?”
Everyone in the room moved out of the way to where Eddie’s mom was hugging her grandson to her chest as he sobbed.
“I don wanna go!”
“You have to, baby. Your mommy and daddies need you now. They’ve been waiting so long to see you.”
“Mom?”, Eddie asked as he stepped towards her. “What’s going on?”
She softly smiled as she handed him to your father who spun him around as he chuckled but your son just buried his face further in his neck.
“Come on, little guy. Your parents have made you an awesome bedroom and knowing my daughter she’s going to show you so many amazing things.”
The little boy shook his head as your dad kissed his temple before handing him to your mom.
“Steven, remember, you once told me that everything would be ok and you were right. I’ve watched you both take care of my baby and I assure you, you both are going to be more than ok. You are going to be amazing parents.”
He beamed at him as he wrapped his arms around the demon and pulled him in for a hug.
Your mother grinned as she reached out to touch your face as you started to cry.
“I’m scared to do this without you.”, you whisper.
Your parent’s smiles widen as she kisses her grandson and places him in your arms.
“We’re not going anywhere. We’re always right here.”, she soothes as she points to Ellis’s forehead. “Right behind that door, honey.”
“I love you.”, you son coos as each grandparent reciprocates his affection.
As both your demons come to your side, you look down to no longer see a toddler but a newborn baby wiggling in your arms. Steve gently pets his head as Eddie reaches for his tiny hand that immediately clings to his finger.
All of your eyes shoot open but yours is followed by a grunt as you place your hands on your stomach.
“Fuck! I think…”
They don’t waste any time as they collect you and your things before rushing towards the hospital.
***
“How long are they going to keep him back there?”, Eddie growled as he held your hand.
“Calm down. Y/N said this was normal. They need to clean him, check his vitals, and all that.”
“Yeah, but Steven, what if something comes up in those vitals that frightens a human.”
The other demon’s eyes flash red in warning in his direction as a low rumble leaves his chest.
“Maybe we should have had him in your realm.”, you respond groggily as your heavy eyes shift their way.
“Baby, don’t let Edward scare you, ok? He’s fine. He’s got more human in him right now than anything. Dustin said he would grow into his demon parts.”
“He also said we’re the first couple ever to do this so…”
“Edward Munson, I swear—“, Steve’s anger was cut short when the door to your hospital room opened and a nurse casually sauntered in.
“Hey Munson-Harrington family.”, she smiles. “We have little Ellis here fast asleep and everything looks good. Mommy, how are you feeling?”
“Like I gave birth.” The nurse laughs at your joke as your demons roll their eyes. “I’m alright. A bit exhausted.”
“Yeah, that’s normal, sweetheart. Good news is your baby is in perfect health. Would you like to meet him?” Your eyes fully open as you sit up, smiling softly when she places him in your arms.  “I’ll come check on you three in a bit.”
Tears start to fall as you fully take him in. Right now, he seemed like a completely normal child with soft skin and just a sliver of brown hair poking out of his blue beanie.
“Hey, honey. You’re so handsome. I’m your mommy.”, you coo in a whisper as you kiss his forehead. “Oh my god, he smells so good.”, you laugh as you look their way.
Eddie was the first to step forward, sitting beside you on the bed as he caressed his son’s chubby little cheek with his finger.
“Holy shit. He’s so soft.”, he breathes. “You’re perfect, kid.”
Steve finally takes a seat as well and reaches out to feel his tiny hand.
“He’s warm to. Is that normal?” When you nod, he almost breathes a sigh of relief. “Ellis, we’re your daddies. You ARE perfect, oh my god.”
The baby squirms a bit in your hold giving them pause before pulling away.
“I think that was his way of saying thank you.”, you smile.

“Fascinating.”, Dustin muses as he rocks Ellis in his arms while swaying around the living room. “He really does look just like a little human with the soft skin and everything. Nothing has stood out?”
“Can you stop analyzing our baby and just enjoy him?”, Eddie snaps as he sighs.
“No, nothing.”, you giggle, answering his question. “And so far he seems to eat but not as much as normal babies.”
“How so?”
“Babies are supposed to eat every two hours; we’ve been feeding him every six. I was worried at first but we just took him the doctor and she said he was healthy. When I tried to give him a bottle every two he would cry and push at my hands.”
“Interesting. That has to be hard, Y/N. Him not being able to verbally tell you things like that. I hated when my kids cried in general but you…you still have that whole trial and error thing going.”
Glancing towards your demons, Eddie had fallen asleep with his head nestled in Steve’s lap on the couch who was already napping when Dustin arrived.
“It is. I appreciate everything you’ve done for us though and I know they do to. I’ve been keeping a record like you suggested should this ever happen for anyone else.”
“Good.” When he notices your gaze shift again, he takes a seat on the floor beside you and lays Ellis on the blanket between you both. “Everything ok with you three?”
“Yeah, I’m just a little worried. They were both already so protective over me and now that he’s here… Steve’s been having nightmares. He pretends he doesn’t but I hear him groaning in his sleep and feel him wake up. I asked him the other night if he still has access to my dreams and he said he can’t find the door anymore.”
A tear fell down your check as Dustin reached out to comfort you.
“As I’m sure you’ve noticed, Eddie’s attitude has been a lot shorter lately. He’s exhausted and worried about the three of us. He triple checks everything to the point that I find him asleep on the floor by Ellis’s crib because he’s too tired to make it back to our bed and would just rather be closer to his son just in case.”
“What about you? Besides the worry I mean.”
“I know I’m probably being paranoid but sometimes I feel like we’re being watched. It may just be because of our dynamic. I know not everyone is excepting like the new friends we’ve made but no one has said anything… I don’t know. Just…mom brain maybe.”
“Hm, maybe. Keep an eye on that. From what you’ve told me, you’re always pretty intuitive. Wouldn’t want to miss something you know?”

“Oh my god, Y/N, look at him.”, Lisa coos at Ellis as she holds him in her arms.
“Are you alright, Steve? You look like you haven’t slept.”, Shawn chuckles.
“Yeah, I’m doing alright. Just…little guy keeping me up.”, he forces a smile.
Your friends were having a get together for veterans and their families and since Steve worked at the center you suggested you three should go and be seen. Truthfully, you thought it would be good for them both to get out of the house as well as having him specifically spend some time with his new veteran friends to talk about anything that may be weighing on his mind causing his nightmares.
As the night wore on you noticed their soft grins return to their faces as he and Eddie mingled with the people around them. They radiated warmth as they talked about their son and everything he had done with his short little life so far.
“Have you guys started baby proofing yet? I swear when my daughter started crawling it was like she knew which areas were the bad ones!”
“Oh no, not yet. He did smile at Y/N the other day. Ellis has a beautiful little grin.”, Steve boasts.
“At that age usually it’s just reflexive. They see you guys smiling so…”
“Isn’t that all babies though? Like that’s how they learn?”, Eddie genuinely asks as the dads around him laugh.
“Yeah but who knows some babies are different! You may just have an extremely happy baby who couldn’t wait to show you guys how much he loves being here.”
Time passed and a few of the guests left, leaving the main few that you had really gotten to know. You all sat in the living room while Eddie patted his son’s back as Ellis slept soundly. Steve tenderly petted the baby’s head as you beamed at them from your place in the chair across from them.
“So how has everything else been going?”, Thomas asks as he chugs back some of the beer in his bottle.
“Everything has been good, man. Just focusing on them, ya know?”
“Yeah, I understand. When my son was born, that first night I checked on him every hour on the hour. Then for some reason I kept checking on my wife. I knew our son needed us both and I kept thinking ‘What if something happened to either of us?’”
“I can understand that. I, uh, before Y/N and Steve, I lost a lot of people I loved and there was nothing I could do. Now that Ellis is here…it would kill me if anything ever happened to him.”
“Do you have nightmares about it? About losing them?”
“I don’t but Stevie here does.”, Eddie answers causing Steve to toss a glare his way.
“I do but it’s fine. It’s not a big deal.”
“I had them to. Sometimes I would dream they were on the battlefield I fought in. I would run to them but I could never quite reach them.”, Thomas sighs at the memory. “What do you dream about?”
“It’s fine really.”
You’re not sure if anyone else heard but you and Eddie did as the demon’s voice fluctuated to his real one for a split second.
“Steven…”
“It’s ok, Y/N. Like I said, I get it. If you talk about it, it gives it validity right? You’d hate to manifest something like that into existence. Someone killing Y/N and your son.”
Steve’s eyes closed as his head ticked to the side.
“Ok, Tom, I appreciate what you’re trying to do but I’m putting my foot down. You’re going to push him too far and he’s already got enough on his mind.”, Eddie defended rising to his feet and handing you the baby.
“Ah, you’re the enabler I imagine. You allow him to shelter his feelings so he doesn’t have to deal with them.”
“You’re damn right I do. You humans have no idea what we’ve been through!”
“Interesting word choice. Is that how you separate people from your experiences?”
“Come on, guys, let’s head home.” As the long-haired demon grabbed his boyfriend’s arm, he remained frozen in place. Kneeling in front of him, he cupped his face in his hands. “Steven, it’s ok alright. You don’t have to talk about anything you don’t want to. Let’s go home and get some sleep, huh?”
When the demon finally opened his eyes, Eddie’s widen in fear; he knew this look all too well. As subtly as he could, he got to his feet and towards the front door with you trailing after him.
“Steven—”
Once the wind of the outside hit your faces, he expanded his wings, cutting you off as he vanished into the air.
***
“Edward, baby, are you ok?”
Eddie nodded from his place on the floor next Ellis who was sleeping soundly beside him. After laying down as well, he softly smiles your way as he continues caressing the baby’s open hand.
“DO I enable him, Y/N?”
“Eddie…”
“I just…we went through so much… Every day I had to watch the man I love breakdown. Even when we were out, summoners never treated us with any kind of respect. They knew we wouldn’t be there for long. In our realm, he was hero and with one choice, he was banished and imprisoned…because of me.”
“No, Eddie. Everything you two went through was because of Henry. He killed Chrissy and framed you. Jason didn’t give Steve much of a choice. He was going to disobey orders and hurt you.”
“I always tried to make it up to him… I tried not to show my feelings, pretending I didn’t care we were trapped. Pretending I wasn’t scared and just as angry as he was. I’ve done that my whole life, Y/N. When my mom got sick, I did everything I could to make her laugh so she wouldn’t see how devastated I was. Every time my father came home upset, I acted like I was tough but I was fucking terrified, baby. I was so scared.”
A tear fell from his eye and your immediately wiped it away with your thumb.
“When he fled, I was afraid for my uncle. I didn’t even think twice when I signed up but I was positive I wouldn’t last a month out there on the battlefield. Steven and Robin helped me become a better fighter. With Chris I pretended to be more together than I was. She had enough on her plate at the time and I wanted her to feel safe.”
“It seems like that’s why you pretend, Eddie, so the people you love feel safe.”
Sitting up, he started to cry harder and you immediately crawled to him, curling up in his lap as you held him in your arms.
The sound you recognized as a portal opening grabbed both your attention as you called Steve’s name.
“Hey, no, sorry. It’s just me. I have him here though.”, Robin answered as she came around the corner with the demon leaning half-conscious around her shoulders. “My girlfriend sent me a message saying he was there at the bar. He had been babbling about how human drinks aren’t strong enough and something about you two and Ellis.”
After leading her to the bedroom, she gently placed Steve onto the mattress. When Eddie entered the room, she smiled when she saw your son’s wide eyes looking back at her.
“He woke up.”, the demon announced as Ellis yawned to emphasis his point.
“You need to let your parents get some rest, booger.”, Robin coos as she pokes his nose making him smile.
“Some of our friends said for human babies around this time smiles like that are a reflex.”
“Yeah but he’s not entirely human and that beautiful, drool filled grin didn’t seem reflexive.”, she responded. “It seems like he can handle the demon skin since he’s letting us touch him.”
“Yeah, I think that’s the potion.”, you nod as you reach out to tickle the baby’s chin. “Thank you for bringing Steve back, Robin.”
Softly smiling, she leans down to kiss your forehead.
“Seriously, you and Ellis are so soft—”
“Ay yi, ma’am. This human is ours.”, Eddie playfully scolds as he swats his hand in her direction.
***
Loud banging and clinking echoes behind the door you’re looking at as smoke occasionally slips through the seams. Taking a long exhale, you reach for the handle but someone tapping your shoulder startles you as you turn and smack the person’s face.
“Ow! Jesus woman. How many times are you going to pop me?!”, Eddie whines as he rubs his cheek.
“Edward, how did you—”
“I don’t know. I’ve been looking for the door for months. Maybe you finally calmed me down enough to know what I’m looking for.” Nodding, you kiss his lips. “So what’s the plan?”
“I think…this is Steve’s door. I don’t know. I’ve been trying to access his dreams but I haven’t been able to.”
Holding your hand, he carefully turns the knob and you both step through. Glancing down at his attire, Eddie realizes he’s suddenly in his old battle armor and you both are on the battlefield they fought on all those centuries ago.
“Why am I not in armor?”
“I mean, you weren’t there, baby.”
“What the fuck are you two doing here?!”, Steve’s father shrieks above you as he lands on his feet. “Leave. NOW. My son needs to learn his lesson.”
“YOU’VE been giving him his nightmares?”, you growl.
“Not exactly. He started having them on his own but I’ve been fueling them.”
Shifting your gaze behind him, you both watch as Steve slaughters enemy after enemy, panting as he slowly tires himself out.
“Steven! Do better! You think these fuckers are going to show mercy on your son?! You have to do what I taught you to get the truth!”
Eddie gripped Bill’s throat and angrily threw him to the ground.
“You made your hell his hell, you fucking asshole. He told me all about you and everything you did to him. You ruined his life enough! Leave him be.”
“Please. He’s doing this to himself. He’s worried about you two peasants and that thing. I’m making him better. Stronger.”
Grabbing a sword from the ground, you lift the handle and point the other end towards his throat.
“You heard him. Leave Steven alone or else I swear to God, Bill, I will find a way myself to keep you in hell.”
Growling under his breath, he tried to stand but you and Eddie forced him back down with your weapons. Huffing he suddenly disappeared as well as every other solider that had fallen around the other demon.
“Ed-Edward?”, Steve panted heavily when you noticed you both there. “Y/N? What are you…? It doesn’t matter. We need to get to Ellis or else Henry’s going to kill him. We have to—”
“Baby, look at me.”, Eddie tried to soothe as he cupped his cheeks in his hands. “You’re dreaming ok? Henry is gone and Ellis is in his crib fast asleep.”
“N-No. No? I can hear him. I can hear him crying! Can’t you hear that?!”
“Steven—”
“NO!”, the demon growls loudly as he shoves the man he loves hard backwards. “Who are you?! You’re not Edward. Y-You’re…You’re trying to trick me. Are you Mirage? Did Henry and his dad hire you to stop me?!”
“Steven…”, Eddie cried with worry as he threw the sword he was holding to the ground and held up his hands. “Sweetheart, please, it’s me. I promise. I would never hurt you like that. I would never keep you from our son.”
As he tried to step forward, the other demon shoved him to the ground.
“I-I-I need to get to my son.”, Steve sobbed as his voice cracked. “I know you’re not Eddie. Tell me where he is.”
When he didn’t answer, he pulled back and pushed his weapon downward.
The sound of your grunt filled their ears as your eyes met Steve’s wide glassy ones. When you both looked down, blood drenched his sword where it had pushed through your stomach and around your back.
“Baby?”
Looking up at him again, you smiled through the pain as blood dripped from your lips.
“Why…why does it hurt?”
The three of you opened your eyes at the same time as you sat up clutching your stomach. Lifting up your shirt, there was no wound but it felt so real. You could still feel the stinging pain lingering on your skin.
Eddie’s head slowly turned meeting Steve’s still shocked expression as is mouth hung open in shock.
“I—”
The long-haired demon’s growl cut him off as his eyes glowed bright red.
“Take us to another realm that we can fucking damage NOW.” You didn’t say anything as Steve rose to his feet with his head hung preparing a portal for them to go through. “Stay here.”
Coming around the bed, he waited for the other demon to finish as you peeked into the world they’d be going to. It was completely baron with nothing but white as far as the eye can see.
“Fitting.”, Eddie responded in anger as he and the other demon walked inside.
As the portal began to close, you quickly got up and jumped through right as it disappeared.
You knew Eddie may be mad but after what happened this wasn’t something you were going to let them handle alone.

----------
In the days preceding Alpha Tau’s fall formal, Eren doesn’t hear a peep from her. The night he broke the news about taking Pieck as his date, she hung up on him without waiting for a goodbye. He should have predicted this type of reaction. Given how clingy she’s been in the past, he was hoping for a truce in the form of sex after a few days of letting it simmer. That’s how he lands back in her good graces time and time again.
Even with this radio silence, it doesn’t faze him much. He’s confident that he’s still got the upper hand. Once the weekend is over and she realizes nothing will happen between him and Pieck, the anger will subside; she’ll come crawling back. Eager and needy for him like always. Does he feel guilty for pissing her off? Sure, maybe just a bit. It is what it is.
Saturday afternoon, Eren and Armin head to Alpha Tau to board the first bus. Dressed in sweats and bags in hand, the two roommates part ways outside the house. Armin goes towards Annie, Hitch, and Connie. Eren is dragged to where Reiner, Sandra, and Bertolt wait. Pieck and the other Delta Mu sister, who Eren recognizes is Mikasa’s friend Louise, arrive five minutes later.
“Hi Eren,” Pieck says, a polite smile spread across her face.
“Hey. Thanks for coming with me.”
Louise stands next to Bertolt while Reiner hands out flasks to each of them, filled with what smells like vodka. He whispers, “Don’t worry, we have more bottles in our bags. We can refill at the hotel later.”
Sandra breaks away from their group to hug Hitch. Eren turns around to observe them, immediately making eye contact with Annie, who glares. He makes a mental note to steer clear of her the rest of the evening.
He scans the rest of the crowd to look for Mikasa and Jean. He doesn’t spot them, assuming they’ll be on the next bus scheduled to leave in half an hour. Mike is also noticeably missing.
Once boarded, Eren and Pieck sit beside each other in a comfortable silence for the first ten minutes of the ride. Attempting to initiate small talk, he reiterates, “Thank you again for coming with me to this.”
She giggles. “I’ll admit, I was a bit surprised to hear that you wanted to take me.”
“Why?” He sips from his flask, curious.
“I thought you’d take your girlfriend instead. You know, the one we played beer pong with at Halloween?” She says her name, causing Eren to sputter on his drink.
Whipping his head around to ensure no one else can hear them, he whispers, “What did you say?”
There’s a sly grin on her face as she responds, “It was very obvious. You couldn’t stop staring at her.”
“Well, she’s not my girlfriend. I barely know her,” he explains, hastily.
She raises a brow, studying him. “Who is she to you, then? It seems like there’s something going on between you two.”
“She’s no one,” he lies. A twinge of guilt spasms in his chest.
Shrugging, she relents. “Sorry for assuming. I guess I’m wrong.” She wears her pleasant smile again, unconcerned that she rocked his cool disposition. “Forget I said anything.”
He wasn’t expecting her name to be brought up at all tonight. It seems like everywhere he goes, she lingers, whether in his own mind or in that of others. It hasn’t been fifteen minutes into this bus ride, and he’s already flustered. He drinks more alcohol to suppress his feelings until she’s buried all the way in the back of his thoughts.
At the hotel, each brother checks into their room. Reiner, Bertolt, and Eren opt for single beds. Before they head up the elevator to their assigned floor, Armin passes by and mentions, “If you guys want to pre-game with us, we’re all rooming together in Room 310!”
Reiner scoffs. “No thanks. We’re going to have our own pre-game in my room.”
Sandra smacks him on the arm. “I want to hang out with Hitch. Let’s just pre-game in their room. It’s bigger and there will be more people. It’ll be way more fun.”
Reiner grumbles, “Fine. We’ll see you there. We’ll bring some of our alcohol.”
“Great! We brought some too. See you all in a bit!”
Up on the third floor, Eren and Pieck enter Room 324 in silence, both unsure what to talk about. He especially feels awkward after their conversation earlier on the bus. Pieck occupies the bathroom to change while he gets ready in one corner of the room. He decides on an all-black outfit comprised of a turtleneck sweater underneath his suit jacket, black slacks, and black oxfords. Pieck exits the bathroom, wearing a maroon floral dress that flows down to her ankles.
“You look great,” he compliments, as she puts on her shoes.
“Thank you!” she beams. “You too. You kinda look like a spy.”
He takes it as a compliment, focusing on his reflection in the mirror to style his hair in the classic man-bun. It’s only now that he recalls how Mike was the first to tie his hair up like this, way back at the beginning of the semester. You owe me if this gets you laid tonight, he remembers him saying. In a way, he does owe that idiot. He figures they’re even now, considering what happened on Halloween.
Thinking about him with her bothers Eren once again. But he takes solace knowing they won’t be together here. Rumor has it that the senior goes to formals alone on account of him notoriously getting too drunk to pay attention to his date. Certain this is still true, he isn’t concerned about running into her today. The evening will pass by smoothly. All according to plan.
He waits for Pieck to finish her makeup before heading down the hall to Room 310. Armin and Connie greet them, patting him on the back happily; Pieck goes over to the girls to introduce herself. Eren does his best to avoid the women, especially Annie, who continues to stare daggers at him every chance she gets.
The rest join soon after, the girls sticking together, the boys huddled in their own circle. Bertolt sneaks glances at Annie, who completely ignores him. Reiner miraculously does not make any offensive comments, a true rarity for him.
For the next hour, they drink while chatting, the girls casually dancing along to the music blasting through Connie’s speakers. Once it gets closer to 7:00 PM, they all pour whatever remaining liquor they have into their flasks to sneak downstairs. Eren is filling his with vodka when Annie intentionally bumps into him.
“Annie,” he nods.
“Jaeger,” she mutters, eyeing him with contempt.
He doesn’t say anything, not interested in conversing with her, predicting it will lead to the mention of a certain someone. She doesn’t give him a choice, though, as she begins speaking. “Pieck is nice. I hope you don’t lead her on, too.”
In a low voice, he responds, “I’m not interested in Pieck like that. I just had to bring someone.”
She scoffs, barely keeping herself quiet. Luckily, the music is loud enough to drown out their conversation. “I take back what I said to you last week. I don’t respect you at all. At least Reiner knows he’s an asshole and owns it. You on the other hand, you’re a lost cause. I still have no idea why she would associate with someone like you.”
“Can you just drop it already, Annie?” he hisses. “Can’t I have one night without her being thrown in my face like this?”
She blinks, a tiny smirk forming on her lips. “You have no idea, do you?”
“No idea about what?”
“Oh, nothing. You’ll see soon enough.” She steps away to join her friends again, leaving Eren to speculate on her ominous parting. It’s just Annie trying to get under his skin, which she always successfully does. Frustrated, he takes the whole vodka bottle and throws it back, swallowing a few shots worth until his throat burns.
Downstairs, the doors to the ballroom are open. Levi stands at the entrance greeting everyone as they enter. “Oi, pledges. Welcome to your first formal. Seating chart is over there.” He points to an easel with a large sign propped on it. “Have fun.”
Eren scans the poster for his name, seeing it listed under Table 3. He’s tipsy enough not to care who else is sitting with them. At the table, Marco is already seated next to his friend, a girl from the women’s soccer team. Petra from Sigma Nu Kappa sits next to an empty chair with a jacket slung over the back, presumably Levi’s. There are two remaining spots currently unoccupied.
They take their seats, Pieck chatting up the rest of the table as Eren examines his surroundings, trying to locate his friends. Armin and Connie are at a table with Erwin and his guest, Hange. Reiner and Bertolt sit three tables away with another brother and his date, SNK senior Nanabe. He has no idea where Mikasa and Jean are, neither of them making their appearance yet. The second bus should have already arrived, so he expects they’ll be making their grand entrance soon.
The venue continues to fill up, people situated in their seats, snacking on the appetizers. Most of the seniors are in line at the bar to purchase drinks, besides Levi, who is sober monitor.
Eren takes swigs from his flask, letting the vodka continue to take its effects on his mind and body. He feels good. Relaxed. Tonight, there will be no drama, exactly the way he planned it. If he keeps consuming liquor, she’ll remain in the furthest corner of his mind.
Still, the tiniest part of him misses her. But that’s what the alcohol is for. Forgetting.
He sits facing away from the doorway, so when Petra’s face lights up and Levi smirks, saying, “Ah, finally,” Eren has to physically turn around to see who it is they are talking to.
As soon as he recognizes them, the heat from the liquor seems to rush straight out of his body, leaving him frozen in place.
~~~
The week leading up to Alpha Tau’s formal, you start scheming. The infuriating phone call with Eren was just the fuel you needed to get you fired up.
Every decent quality about him, from his undeniable sex appeal to the occasional loving gestures, has been forced into the most secluded crevices of your mind. Instead, you let all the crummy details about him surface.
He took advantage of your naivety, knowing you were inexperienced and desperate for any form of affection. After he lured you in, he manipulated you into thinking you were special, that your many moonlight trysts with one another had to be kept a secret. As if it was so fucking romantic to keep you hidden away like his most prized possession when he was really trying to find more treasure elsewhere.
Worst of all, he won’t let you go. He has to have you. String you along until it’s the right time for him to toss you aside once he grows tired of you. Until you become an overused and rejected toy withering away into the worst version of yourself, all while he replaces you with someone shinier and new.
The only way to avoid that is to end it with him first. Officially and for good.
No more empty promises, no more subtle blows to your confidence and self-worth. No more heartbreak. You won’t allow him to desecrate your fragile heart any longer.
The easy route would be to have a private discussion about it. Maybe after the event, so you don’t ruin his fun weekend plans. But you don’t want it to be easy. You want it to be satisfying. Meaningful. You want it to hurt; not enough to mangle him, but just enough to leave a scar. If he ever becomes a better person later in life, he’ll always remember what he did to you, hopefully determined not to repeat the same mistakes.
Your plan is set in motion. The first step is to get yourself at Alpha Tau’s formal. On Wednesday, Armin invites you and Mikasa over to the fraternity house to eat dinner. You sit with Mike at one of the tables. Mikasa, who wants you at formal for her own selfish reasons, and Armin sit beside you. You plan to bombard the senior to bring you. It’s a known fact that Mike goes stag to these dances, the reason being that he always gets too drunk to pay enough attention to whoever he’s taking.
It doesn’t take much to convince him, though. You proposition him, explaining how much fun the two of you will have together, how you won’t mind if he gets blackout drunk. Even offering to take care of him if in the morning in case he has a hangover.
“Okay. I’ll make an exception for you. By the way, breakfast burritos are my go-to hangover cure.”
You smile at him. “Noted.”
“Do you think they’ll still let her go even though it’s past the deadline?” Armin asks.
“Erwin and Levi are my best friends. They’ll let me do anything, don’t worry. You will be my date this Saturday,” he emphasizes, winking.
With step one complete, the next move is to make a grand entrance.
Thursday afternoon, Mikasa, Annie, and Hitch accompany you to the mall to pick out your outfit. Your roommate suggests a red dress, similar to one that she’s planning to wear. Annie and Hitch, fully aware of your Eren situation, recommend a black, off-the-shoulder bodycon, coming down just past your knees. Complete with a side slit the runs up mid-thigh. A revenge dress.
Out of the fitting room, Mikasa let’s out a low whistle. “Okay, forget I even suggested red because this is everything.”
“You look hot!” Hitch exclaims.
“It’s perfect,” Annie says.
In it, you feel confident, beautiful, and most of all, powerful. You’re ready to pull the rug out from under him in one fell swoop.
Saturday arrives. At the hotel, you and Mike check into your single room. By the time you’re finished in the bathroom, you hear a soft knock on the door. Upon opening it, Mike, handsome and suave in his navy-blue suit, looks you up and down. “You look fucking amazing.”
You smile at him. “Thank you. So do you.”
The two of you share this unspoken agreement to remain friends, maybe with a couple benefits here and there. However, your main focus tonight is to deal with Eren.
“We better head to Erwin’s room now before I get any ideas.” Giving you one more look, he turns around to collect his bottle of Hennessy, waiting for you to slip into your heels.
Down the hall, Erwin, Hange, Petra, and Levi share a room, where they host the pre-game. Mikasa and Jean eventually join, as well as some other seniors. The president and vice president leave first to set up downstairs, dragging their dates along with them. One by one, more people leave until it’s just you, Mike, Mikasa, and Jean.
As it gets closer to dinnertime, you wobble towards the ballroom, tipsy and giggly from the cognac. Mike tries to hold you steady, but he’s no better off. You take a quick look at the seating chart, noting your assignment. Mikasa follows Jean to the other side of the room as you and Mike make your way to Table 3, finding it already mostly occupied. Petra and Levi, who you just saw, greet you with amused expressions on their faces.
It takes you a minute to register that Eren is seated at the same table, staring at you with wide eyes and a clenched jaw. This is not a part of your plan.
Regardless, this is going to be fun.
Avoiding his gaze, you and Mike occupy the empty seats between Pieck and Levi. You acknowledge your neighbor with a smile, who returns it.
“I love your dress. You look so pretty!” you compliment her.
“Thank you. You look pretty, too.”
You continue to chat with Pieck, completely ignoring Eren, who is visibly uncomfortable beside her.
You’re not exactly sure what the next step in your plan is yet. Once you made it to the dance, you figure you’d toy with him, flaunt your sexy black dress in his face until he’s drooling. And if you have the chance to catch him alone tonight, then you’d confront him, ending your relationship once and for all. But there’s no way to predict if that opportunity will ever come, considering how unlikely it is to get a moment alone together. Deciding to go with the flow, you try to relax, relishing the way Eren sneaks subtle glances at you.
Dinner starts. Mike is already on his third drink from the bar, speech slurred, tie loosened. Definitely drunk. Levi attempts to slow him down by switching his cocktail with a glass of water, which works until Mike finally notices the difference. By the time the entrees are out, he gets up once more for another rum and coke.
For the first time all night, you hear Eren speak. “He’s fucking wasted.” There’s malice in his voice, clearly annoyed.
Levi shrugs. “He always does this at formals.”
Eren rolls his eyes. “It’s distracting.”
Petra chimes in. “Oh, he’s harmless.”
He stands up abruptly, rattling the table. “Whatever. I’m getting some punch.”
You wait a minute or two to make your move. “I’m going to get punch too. Anybody want anything?”
Pieck says, “I’d like some, please.”
“You got it. I’ll be right back.”
Eren is alone when you approach the refreshments table, opposite side of the room from where the bar is. He takes a sip from his punch before reaching into his pocket for a flask. He notices you as you pour two cups of punch for yourself and Pieck.
He looks around, making sure the coast is clear. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, so you’re actually speaking to me in public now?”
He ignores that, repeating, “What are you doing here?”
“I’m getting myself and your date punch, since you aren’t doing it yourself.”
Taking a deep breath, he mutters, “You know what I mean. Why didn’t you tell me you were coming here with Mike?”
“Why should I? You never told me that you were going to bring Pieck until after the fact. And as far as I know, we don’t have to tell each other anything. You’re not my boyfriend.”
He blinks at you, seemingly at a loss for words. You continue to glare at him, waiting for a response.
After a couple of seconds, he murmurs, “This is different.”
“How?”
“I have no intentions of fucking Pieck. But Mike…I know he’s trying to fuck you.”
“Is that all I’m good for? Sex? Has it ever crossed your mind that Mike actually likes me?” Your composure is beginning to crack.
“Come on, I see the way he looks at you. He’s a fucking skeeze,” he spits out.
“So what? At least he talks to me. Acknowledges my existence.”
He swallows hard, saying in a low voice, “That’s not fair.”
“Well, it’s the truth.”
You stare at one another, neither of you backing down. You’re tempted to tell him it’s over, that you want to end it with him. But it still doesn’t feel like the right time yet. Maybe you want it to hurt a little more.
As you turn around to walk back to the table, you hear him say, “You look beautiful, by the way. You are beautiful.”
Shit. You promised yourself you wouldn’t fall for his sweet talk. Every time he calls you that, your heart flutters.
Without responding, you walk away from him and back to your seat, handing Pieck her punch. Mike is back in his chair, scarfing down his steak. A few minutes later, Eren sits down, clearing his throat nervously. Focused on the plate of food in front of you, his compliment replays in your head like lyrics to your favorite song. You grip your fork tightly, upset for wavering, trying to convince yourself that it doesn’t mean anything.
You eat your meal in peace, casually chatting with the others, except for Eren, who remains sullen and quiet. Dessert is served and there’s a couple of minutes for everyone to digest and socialize. Erwin makes a quick announcement, thanking all of the brothers for a great semester, despite last year’s scandal. He even gives a special shoutout to Sigma Nu Kappa for a successful partnership, helping them regain their well-received reputation. He signals to the DJ, who starts up the music again, formally opening up the dancefloor.
“Let’s go,” Eren mumbles to Pieck.
She has an excited expression on her face as she asks, “Are we going to dance?”
“No, we’re going to Reiner’s table. C’mon.”
Frowning, she follows him to where Reiner and Bertolt sit with their dates, looking bored and unenthused.
Grinning at Mike, you yank his wrist, beckoning him to the dancefloor. He gives you a goofy smile and follows, joining your friends who already started dancing. More people surround you, creating a lively atmosphere as the music blares through the speakers.
Mike dances behind you, sliding his hands around your waist to pull you in closer. He buries his face in the crook of your neck, the bold scent of liquor emanating from his warm breath. You feel the vibrations on your skin as he hums along to the song.
You place your hands over his, swinging your hips in rhythm to the music as he moves with you. You glance over to where Eren’s sits, sulking right alongside Reiner and Bertolt, their poor guests watching the rest of the crowd in envy. Once in a while, your eyes meet; you quickly look away to turn your attention back to Mike and the rest of your friends.
~~~
The last person Eren expects to see tonight is her. Yet, here she is, gorgeous and stunning, exactly like in his fantasies. She wears that dress as if it was tailored to her and only her. It’s perfection.
Except for the fact that Mike is wrapped around her like a fucking snake.
The universe has a funny way of messing with Eren. And rightfully so, considering what an asshole he’s been. Still, this form of punishment seems a little too cruel.
He watches from a distance as he slithers all over her, practically salivating on her, similar to a beast in the wild preparing for a feast. Eren’s skin crawls with rage and jealousy.
“You’re not going to dance, are you?” he hears Sandra ask Reiner, who slouches lazily in his seat.
“Nope.”
Rolling her eyes, she says, “Fine. I’m going to join Hitch and her friends then. You’re boring.”
“Whatever, have fun with those freaks,” he mumbles.
Suddenly, Eren feels a tap on his shoulder, finding Pieck and Louise standing together with their purses in hand. “Louise and I are going back to campus. She’s not feeling well.”
He quickly turns around to look at Bertolt, who’s propped up on his elbow against the table, looking absolutely disinterested.
Facing the girls again, he asks Pieck, “You have to go too?”
She nods. “Yeah, I don’t want her to go alone.”
“Are you coming back?”
“I don’t think so. Honestly, you’re not a fun person.”
Ouch. Her bluntness stings. Can he blame her, though? He’s not exactly a bundle of joy right now.
“Anyways, our Uber is coming, so we’re just going to wait outside.” They walk towards the exit, leaving the three moody Alpha Tau brothers alone.
Eren leans back in his chair, defeated. He envisioned formal differently. In his imagination, he’s having fun with her as his date. He should be out there right now, not Mike. Dancing, smiling, and laughing around their friends. Happy and carefree together. Instead, he’s sitting in the corner, pretending to be too cool to have a good time.
It's his own fault. He refuses to admit it out loud, but he did let Reiner influence his decisions. Is he really that desperate to create a reputation for himself that won’t matter in a few years? Maybe even in a few months? At the rate he’s going, he’ll be known for being a dud anyways. It’s not like he was actively trying to be a fuck boy, considering he’s only ever wanted to be with her since they started.
Besides, what’s so bad about dating a Sigma Nu Kappa? Reiner is the only one who seems to have an issue with it. On his big brother’s word alone, Eren has been convinced that dating an SNK girl is a disgrace. He didn’t even think to question it until now. There’s nothing wrong with them. Sure, Annie can be scary most of the time, but he recognizes how loyal she is to those she cares about. Mikasa has been his friend for years, and while she can be just as intense as he is, she loves her friends fiercely.
And with her, he can’t think of any major flaws. To him, she’s beautiful, inside and out.
He lays his head on the table, confused about his feelings, which are constantly in limbo. So much so that even he can’t keep up with himself. Again, he wonders why this is more difficult than it needs to be. Is he that afraid of falling in love?
From his peripheral, he notices her and Mike walk off the dancefloor. The senior heads straight to the bar while she exits the ballroom. Without thinking, Eren follows her from a distance. In the hotel lobby, he watches her make her way outside, probably to cool herself down after nearly an hour of dancing.
He sinks into one of the couches, waiting for her to reappear. He wants a moment alone, just the two of them. Away from the crowd, uninterrupted by the music. Most of all, he wants to invite her to his room now that he has it all to himself. This is an opportunity he didn’t think he’d get at all today. He’ll regret it if he doesn’t take advantage of it.
Once she’s back in the lobby, she heads down the hallway leading to the bathrooms. Giving him the opening he’s been wishing for all night.
~~~
After an hour of dancing, you feel yourself overheating from the constant movement and the heat radiating from the crowd. You and Mike decide to take a break. He leaves for the bar to take shots with Erwin and the other seniors. Sweat beading on your forehead, you make your way outside, in dire need for fresh air. Pieck and Louise are huddled, standing at the curb.
“Are you two leaving already?” you ask, waving your hand across your face like a fan, still burning up from all the dancing.
Pieck replies, “Yeah. Louise isn’t feeling well, so we’re going back.”
“Oh no! Are you alright? Do you need medicine or anything?”
Louise grins, answering, “Do you have a pill for someone dying of boredom? Because that’s what I need for Bertolt.”
Surprised and amused at her joke, you chuckle, “What do you mean?”
“He barely talks! Every time I try to start a conversation, he only gives me one-word answers. And he keeps ogling at Annie. That dude has it so bad for her, it’s sad.”
“So you’re not really sick?”
“Of course not. I just needed an excuse to get us out of there.”
Laughing, you look over at Pieck. “How about you? Were you not having fun either?”
She shrugs, that same polite smile on her face. “Not really.”
“You should have joined us on the dancefloor!”
She laughs. “But how would I get out of spending the night in the same room as Eren? I figured it’s better to just bail completely.” She pauses, then says, “You know, he’s always staring at you.”
Surprised by her observation, you look at her, silently waiting for her to explain further.
“It was just like at the Halloween party. Either he really hates you or he’s absolutely crazy about you. I’m guessing it’s the latter.”
You look down at the ground, flustered. “I don’t know about that.”
She leans in to nudge you gently in the arm. “It’s pretty obvious he’s got a thing for you. I even told him earlier today how I was surprised that he was taking me instead of you. His girlfriend.”
“I am not his girlfriend. I’m sure he told you that, too.”
“Yeah, he did. But he’s a dumb, immature boy. Of course he’s too proud to admit it.”
“I don’t think it’s pride that’s getting in his way. It’s his ego.” Fearing you revealed too much, you veer off. “Anyways, I’m sorry you two didn’t have a good time.”
“At least the food was good,” Louise comments. Her phone chimes. “Oh, our Uber is almost here. Tell Mikasa I say bye! I didn’t get a chance to tell her I’m leaving.”
“Will do. Have a safe ride home!” You bid them farewell then walk back into the lobby, the distinct thump of the bass resounding from the ballroom. Still feeling sticky with sweat, you head to the bathroom down an empty hallway to blot your face and touch up your makeup.
As you exit, you notice Eren leaning against the wall, waiting for you. The two of you hold each other’s gaze for a few seconds before he suddenly takes you by the wrist and leads you farther into the hall, hidden behind a large plant.
Back pressed to the wall, trapped by both his hands at either side of your head, you stare at him wide-eyed as he studies you with uneven breaths. You swallow hard, muttering his name.
One of his hands slide over your shoulder, fingertips tickling your skin gently until they’re at your wrist. He brings your hand up to his lips and scatters soft kisses in between your knuckles.
“My date left, so I have the room all to myself. Room 324. Come by,” he whispers, kissing the inside of your wrist. “Please.”
You feel your heart race and a familiar sensation fluttering below your belly as he continues to kiss you, green eyes peering at you longingly.
“I’m with Mike,” you stutter, suddenly shy under his gaze.
“Well, if he’s too drunk to get it up, you know where to find me,” he teases, smiling into your skin. He drops your hand and cups your cheek, leaning in closer. “Can I kiss you?”
Every fiber of your being is screaming at you to refuse his advances. But one kiss wouldn’t hurt, right? You reach for the collar of his sweater and push your lips together. His tongue slips inside your mouth in an instant, eager for a taste.
You pull away from him. “Maybe I don’t want to see you later tonight.”
He flashes a cocky smirk. “Sure. Whatever you say.”
You’re tempted to kiss him once more. Instead, you push him off and walk away, heading back into the ballroom.
Mike is slouched onto Levi’s shoulder at your table. When Levi spots you, he yells out, “Oi, I think I’m going to bring him back to your room now. He’s pretty much passed out.”
You sit beside them, stroking Mike’s arm. “Is he okay?”
“Yeah, he’s fine. Just piss drunk. Feel free to hang out here for a little while longer.”
“No, it’s okay. I’ll help you,” you offer. “Just in case.”
“Alright. Let’s go.”
The two of you sling Mike’s arms over your shoulders, carrying him as he drags his feet languidly. Once you’re back inside your room, you and Levi carefully place him on the bed, where he shifts around until he’s snuggled with a pillow, grunting occasionally. Levi snorts, “Idiot.”
He looks to you and says, “Thanks for helping me. Sorry he’s like this.”
“No worries. I’m not mad. I should have expected this.”
Levi leaves, heading back as you sit at the edge of the bed, watching Mike snore noisily. You fill a glass of water and set it on the dresser beside him in case he needs to hydrate. You poke him with your finger, which only causes him to mumble something incoherent. To be fair, you were warned about this.
You hear your phone vibrate in your purse. There’s one new message:
Eren: I’m in my room now
Staring at the text, you contemplate your next move. This is the opportunity you were hoping for. A moment alone with Eren, a chance to fulfill what you need to do. Despite all the anger and resentment you harbor for him, there’s still a part of you that desires to be with him one last time.
Letting your feet lead you to Room 324, you decide to give in to one more moment of weakness.
~~~
Eren sits at the end of the bed, staring at the text message he just sent, eagerly waiting for a response. Tapping his foot nervously, he checks his phone every five seconds to make sure he isn’t missing anything.
Ten grueling minutes pass and a gentle knock on the door stirs his insides. He takes a deep breath and opens the door, thrilled to see her, still in her sensual black dress that’s been tantalizing him all fucking night.
He pulls her into the room, double locking the door when it shuts. Squishing her adorable cheeks between his palms, he leans forward and kisses her hungrily, tongue licking her lips and grazing her teeth. Desperate to taste every bit of her that he’s been deprived of all week long.
They lie on the bed, him on top of her, his hands roaming her body starting from her neck down to her legs. Flirting with the seductive slit exposing her thighs. The dress is skintight, hugging every inch of her figure flawlessly. His cock is already hard beneath his slacks, and they haven’t even undressed yet.
“Take my clothes off,” she breathes out, rolling to her side to show him the zipper. He obeys, marveling at her bare back as he splits the dress open. He trails kisses along the skin he uncovers. She slides the dress off at her shoulders, where he gives her a nibble, resulting in that cute giggle he loves hearing so much.
“Don’t giggle like that with anyone else. Only me,” he demands, kissing her sloppily as he shoves her dress lower to reveal her breasts. He hovers over her, sucking at one of her nipples until it’s plump and taut between his lips.
“Fuck,” she moans, squirming beneath him as she wiggles out of her dress completely. In record time, Eren strips off all of his clothes, leaving just his briefs, barely concealing his erection.
“I’ve missed you,” he whispers, mouth surrounding her other tit as his fingers drift to her arousal, rubbing at the wet spot of her black lace panties. “I’ve missed this pretty pussy, too.”
He slips his middle finger pass the fabric, collecting the slick from her entrance to rub onto her clit. Upon contact, her hips buck, begging for more of his touch. With a chuckle, he releases her nipple from his mouth to suck on a spot on her neck, hard enough to leave a mark. He buries his nose in the divot of her collarbone, inhaling her intoxicating, familiar scent.
“Can I taste you?” he asks, dying to quench his thirst, willing to drown in her arousal.
She nods, fingers hooking the hem of her underwear to remove them. He slides them off her, eyeing her naked body greedily.
“Sit on my face. I want it to drip into my mouth.”
She curses under her breath, scooting over for him to lie down. He can’t help but smile as she straddles him, gripping the headboard and slowly lowering her hips so her pussy is flush against his lips.
“Don’t hold back, baby. Ride my face like you ride my cock.” With his hands on her hips, he sucks on her clit until she’s whining in pleasure, slick trickling out of her slit and onto his chin.
She rocks back and forth, obeying his instructions like the good girl she’s always been.
“Come all over my face, baby. Get that pussy really wet for my cock.”
Moaning, she ruts against him faster, his lips surrounding her as he flicks her clit with his tongue rapidly. Cum coats his mouth and chin. She carefully lifts herself off, kneeling besides him, eyes glazed over from her orgasm.
Sitting up to face her, he caresses her cheek, pulling her in for a passionate kiss. He takes his time, appreciating her supple lips and the subtle contrast of his rough thumb brushing over the delicate skin of her cheekbone. He reaches down his briefs, sliding them off and tossing them to the floor. He strokes his cock, craving to feel her lush walls squeeze tightly around him.
~~~
Eren breaks away, slightly out of breath, whispering, “Can you ride me? I want to see your face.”
The words slip out of his mouth, smooth like butter, enticing as ever. You nod, granting his request. Knowing this will be the last time.
He lies back down, gazing at you. You straddle his lap, rubbing your wet folds against him before you position your entrance at the tip of his dick. Without using your hands, you slide onto him, feeling the vibrations from his gravely moans reverberate through his chest.
You ride him slowly, thrusting your ass onto his hard cock. He squeezes your hips, directing you to move faster. You resist, determined to set your own pace. For once, you’re in control, not him.
“Fuck, you’re so good. You’re so fucking good to me,” he chants as you grind onto his lap. You start moaning along with him, succumbing to the pleasure, leaning onto his chest, and listening to his racing heartbeat. He keeps one hand at your waist; the other at the nape of your neck, pulling you in closer.
“God, you’re beautiful. I’m so lucky. I’m so fucking lucky,” he whispers to you, lips grazing your ear. You tilt your head up to meet his gaze.
“Kiss me,” he says, staring at you with soft eyes, yearning for you.
You lean in to brush your lips against his, making him think everything is fine. Sending him to Cloud 9 so that he can crash down onto the cold, hard dirt once you’re through with him.
After a few minutes of fucking, he mutters, “I’m sorry.”
The apology catches you off guard. He’s pulling every weapon out of his arsenal, his velvety words attempting to latch on to you like a leech.
“I’m sorry about tonight. I’ll make it up to you, okay? I promise.”
You don’t respond. With your eyes shut, you continue to ride him, letting your second orgasm build up.
He caresses your cheek again, thumb brushing the soft skin right below your eye. “Baby, please look at me.”
His expression is sincere; there’s warmth in the way he looks at you, affection in the small smile he displays.
“I’m yours, okay? I’m all yours.”
You’re close. It’s almost over. He’s tugging at your heartstrings like he never has before. But this time, it’s not enough. You’re not falling for it anymore.
“I promise you; everything is going to be okay,” he whispers, kissing your forehead, voice trembling.
He makes promises just as easily as he breaks them. You’ve lost trust in him completely. His words mean nothing. They no longer have this everlasting hold on you.
Still silent except for the soft whines that escape from your lips, you ride him faster, wanting to milk him for all he’s worth. Take advantage of him the way he has with you.
“Fuck,” he groans, planting his feet onto the bed and moving his hips in rhythm with your thrusts. “You’re going to make me come, sweetie. Is that what you want?”
You nod into his neck, his hands now holding you in place as he starts pounding into your pussy relentlessly.
“Okay, baby. I’ll give it to you. I’m all yours. All yours,” he repeats, fucking you until you reach your orgasm, letting the pleasure sweep through you.
Soon after, he groans a drawn out, “Fuck,” as you feel his hot load fill you up.
He holds you in his arms, no rush to let you go. Nose pressed into the top of your head, inhaling and exhaling deeply. You savor the steady cadence of his heartbeat, the rise and fall of his chest, the warmth of his skin. Letting yourself imagine only for a short moment that this is what could’ve been if it was any different with you two. Nostalgic for a relationship that never really existed to begin with. One that was doomed from the start.
Maybe you’ll meet again in another lifetime. One where it’s genuine. Painless. Easy.
Just not this one.
His arms loosen as soon as you initiate movement. You remain silent as you pick your dress off the floor and carry it with you into the bathroom. The knob turned all the way to hot, you wait as the heat from the shower fills the space with a steamy cloud. Stepping in carefully, you let the water rinse any cum and sweat from your body, erasing all traces of Eren.
When you’re finally cleansed, you dry yourself with a towel and slip into your black dress. Studying your reflection in the mirror, you take a few deep breaths, preparing for your final act.
~~~
Eren cannot stop smiling.
He’s lying on the bed, palms behind his head, arms splayed out to the sides. Cock glistening with cum. Sheets messy, pillows disheveled all from their love making. He’s in fucking paradise. Whenever they have sex, he always feels on top of the world. Totally and utterly elated. Soaring on Cloud 9.
The best part is that it’s not Mike who she’ll be spending the rest of the night with. It’s him. Eren is the winner. He gets the prize.
It doesn’t even bother him how he uprooted his buried feelings for her. He’ll blame it on the alcohol, which has since dissipated from his bloodstream nearly an hour ago. Or he’ll blame it on being caught up in their fuck fest. Either way, it seems she’s no longer mad at him. He’s got everything under control.
Several minutes pass before she comes out of the bathroom, wearing her black dress. He stretches his arms out, beckoning her back into bed. “Come here, baby. Let’s cuddle.”
She leans down to collect her heels and purse from the floor. “I’m leaving.”
He grins at her odd joke. “Baby, stop kidding around. Come here.”
“I’m leaving,” she repeats. “I don’t want to do this anymore.”
The smile fades, his brain slowly processing the words coming out of her mouth. “What? What are you talking about?”
“Eren, I’m ending this. It’s over. You and me. We’re done.”

Fictober Day 21: No Longer Stuck In The Past
He sees her waiting in front of his apartment, leaning against the door, and he stops for a moment, feeling like he’s stepped into the past. Back then, something odd years ago, this exact moment has happened. Except back then, his heart had soared, his lips had twisted into a smile, and her sight was welcome. Today, none of it applies.
“Diana,” he says as a way of greeting. “What are you doing here? It’s late.” He unlocks the door to his apartment and she just walks past him. Her perfume isn’t the same as it was back then, so it doesn’t carry any memories for him. All it makes him think about is Scully. Her softness and her subtlety. The exact opposite of everything Diana is.
“I came to see you, Fox.” She’s smiling and he looks at her, trying to find that part of him that was in love with her. “Were you out playing baseball with some friends?” Her smile is wavering. He knows why she’s asking. And what she really wants to know.
“In a way,” he replies, not wanting to give her what she wants. “What do you want? Is it a case? Did anything happen?”
“No, nothing of the sort. I wanted to see you. I called but… I miss you, Fox.” She’s walking closer to him and he’s rooted to the spot. “You’ve always loved baseball.” She reaches out and touches his jersey. The one that has Scully all over it. Diana blurs in front of him and turns into Scully. Into the moment when they said goodbye. She touched his arm as if unsure if she should let him go. He felt the same. But tonight wasn’t about jumping on trains or breaking into government facilities. Tonight was a new beginning. The start of a new iteration of them. Without saying a single word, they both decided to go home alone. Now he wishes they hadn’t.
“You couldn’t tell me that at work?”
“That’s hardly a conversation for the basement, is it?” She tilts her head, giving him all her best moves.
“You could have called.”
“I told you that I tried. You weren’t picking up.”
“Because I was busy,” he says.
“That’s why I came here.” She’s always been like this. Took whatever she wanted. Even if it meant being pushy. The one time he pushed back, she disappeared into the night without a single word of goodbye. Now she’s standing here, claiming she misses him. She’s the same Diana she was when he was in love with her. But he’s not the same Mulder.
“I’m tired, Diana. I had a long day and I’d like to go to bed.”
“Oh right, you have a bed now. When did that happen?”
“How did you even know I’d come home tonight?” His words hit her unexpectedly, that much is clear. She recoils as if he just hit her.
“Where else would you have gone?”
He laughs. There’s no humor in it whatsoever. “That’s so you. You really think that I- Diana, please leave, okay? Before either of us does something we might regret. We can talk tomorrow. We can meet for a coffee or-”
“Coffee?” She spits the word. “I don’t want to drink coffee and reminisce, Fox.” No, he thinks. That’s not what she wants. She wants to push her way back into his life. Into his pants, and into his mind. He’s never seen so clearly. It’s as if someone has removed a blindfold. Scully, he thinks. It must have been Scully. He thought she was just jealous; that may have played a part. But he sees now what she must have seen in Diana in the beginning. His heart breaks all over again, like it did back then. This time, however, it breaks for what could have been. They could have become friends, allies. It’s not what she wants. At all.
“I was playing baseball, Diana. But I wasn’t with some friends. I was with Scully.” Diana snorts.
“I don’t understand what you see in her.”
“No,” he says, a half-laugh slipping from his mouth. “You won’t understand, ever.”
“She doesn’t get you, Fox. I see the way she undermines you.” Diana is pleading with him. She must know that what she’s saying is far from the truth. But she doesn’t give up. They have that in common.
“You don’t know her at all. Or me, for that matter. You did – once. When I was younger. I’m no longer the same man.”
“Clearly,” she says, derision in her voice. “You’d pick her. After everything we’ve been through?” She takes a step toward him and he lets her. “After everything we’ve done?” Her hand is on his chest and she looks up at him, her eyes begging.
He thinks of nights when they sat here together, talking about the X-Files. Nights where they were wrapped up in each other. Nights full of passion. They’re a part of him, but they’re in the past. And for once, he has no desire to revisit it. He touches her hand and sees hope bloom in her eyes. But he removes it from his chest, holding it a moment longer.
“I’m grateful for what we had, Diana. And I’d like to be friends. That’s all we’re going to be, though.”
“Friends.” There’s hurt in her expression and her whole demeanor. She thought she had him. She thought she could convince him. Mulder knows her. He can read her all too well. He doesn’t know why he was so blind before. Maybe he didn’t want to see. He closed his eyes and turned away, refusing to face the truth.
“You’re choosing her?” To him, it’s not a choice, but he knows Diana wants an answer so he nods. “You’re not even together,” she says lamely, making Mulder chuckle in spite of the situation.
“My relationship with Scully is not your business, Diana.”
“You really have changed,” she says, picking up her purse. The pain of rejection is still evident, but he thinks there’s admiration in her voice, too. “Well, I’ll be going then. You know where to find me if you do change your mind. You don’t know what you’re missing out on.”
He remains quiet, biting his lip. He does know what he’s letting go. And he’s ready. His arms tingle with the memory of holding Scully. Her soft form pressed against him. The trust she put in him to help her hit each ball that was flung at them. Her laughter. The sweetest sound he’s ever heard. And he wants to hear it again. And again, and again.
“You’re not even listening, are you?” Diana says. “I’ll see you at work then.”
“Goodbye, Diana,” he says and she just throws him a look, not saying another word. He doesn’t wait until her steps recede outside and grabs the phone. He dials her number by heart and she picks up after just a few rings.
"It's me," he says, smiling and wishing he could see her.
“Mulder?” she asks, perplexed. “Are you okay?”
“I’m more than okay, Scully. I was just missing you.”
“You saw me an hour ago.”
“I know.” He grins. The memory of Diana’s visit is fading already. “But it was a long hour. A very long hour.” On the other end of the line, Scully laughs.

“Stop that,” I hissed as I slapped Carter’s hands away. “You do realize that my grandmother is right across the room?”
“Baby, half your family is in this room,” he said as he crept his hand back up the material of my dress.
When I asked Carter to come with me to this charity event tonight, I made him swear there would be no funny business. I shivered as I remembered the last time I had let him come to an event with me - it ended with me wrapped in a blanket, half-naked, in the back of a police car, and the loss of a pair of very expensive shoes. Not to even mention the bail I had to post for Carter in the morning.
I was not letting that happen again. But I was also a sucker for Carter Baizen.
“And you can put your hands wherever you want after,'' I said as I grabbed his hand and shoved it into his lap, “we get through the night.”
“You’re no fun when your mom is around.”
“My mom isn’t fun to be around.” And, as if she could hear me besmirching her name, she appeared on the other end of the table.
“Dear, why don’t you come with me?” It wasn’t a suggestion, no matter how polite she made it seem. “I have someone I want you to meet.”
She turned to walk away, knowing I had no choice but to follow, and of course she headed directly towards Nate Archibald.
Nate and I had never dated - his parents had been planning on him marrying Blair since the moment he was born - but my mother seemed dead set on changing their minds. No matter the fact that I had been dating Carter since I was 18, right after he got through his “I’m giving up the family money and creating my own fate” phase, which, let’s be honest, was not his smartest move.
“Nate,” I greeted politely as I approached him and Blair. “Blair, I’ve missed you.”
I gave her an air kiss on each cheek and pulled her in for a tight hug, whispering in her ear, “I’m sorry in advance for whatever bullshit my mother is about to say.”
She laughed, squeezing around my shoulders before pulling away.
“I wouldn’t expect anything less.”
Despite what nearly everyone in our lives thought - though we never gave them any reason to - Blair and I had always been good friends. It had been rocky for a bit, when my mother first started to push Nate and I together. But she quickly realized I had no interest in him outside of keeping my mother off my ass, and her, Serena, and I bonded closely. Nothing like insane mothers to bring three girls together.
In addition to not caring about Nate, I had been in love with Carter for as long as I could remember. Long before he had become mine.
Speaking of, I turned my head to look back at him - even as Nate and I chatted in order to appease my mother - but my heart dropped when I saw he wasn’t at our table anymore.
Then I felt his warm hand on my waist, and the worry melted from my body.
“Sorry to steal her away, but there’s something urgent she has to attend to.” The smugness in his voice was evident even without seeing the smirk on his face, and I rolled my eyes.
“You know how Carter is, can’t go five minutes without my attention,” I laughed, pressing a kiss to Nate’s cheek and saying my goodbyes before linking my hand with Carter’s and letting him pull me along.
Of course, he was headed straight for the double doors that led to the lobby of The Empire.
“Baby, what are you doing? I can’t leave yet.”
“Don’t worry, we’re not leaving.” Right outside the doors, he pulled you into a dimly lit hallway, and I knew exactly where this was heading.
“Carter, no.” But the giddiness in my voice betrayed my real feelings as he pushed me against the wall, lips coming down over mine.
I could already feel his hand rucking the skirt of my dress up, wrapping my leg around his waist.
His lips moved down my jaw, latching onto my neck. I was glad for the cool weather finally coming down in the city so I could wear a turtleneck and not have to face the speculation of the tabloids - they were forever trying to say Carter or I were cheating on each other, despite the fact that he had been my first and would be my last.
“Look so pretty, baby, you can’t expect me to keep my hands to myself,” he said hotly against my exposed collarbone, leaving a mark there too.
“Can you not wait for me to at least grab my coat and get home?”
“Absolutely not.” And I believed him without a doubt. He was insatiable.
One hand remained on my waist while the other slid under my dress, tracing its way along my thigh until he reached my core.
“You’re not even wearing any panties, don’t tell me you don’t want this.”
“Of course I want it, asshole. I always want you.” My hands came up to his shoulders, pushing lightly. “Now get on your knees or get off of me.”
He was quick to obey - he always was, with me, though no one would believe it unless they saw it. And without hesitation, he pushed the fabric of my dress up, lifting my leg to rest on his shoulder, until I was exposed to him.
He stared for a moment, as if I were something he hadn’t seen a thousand times, before he looked up at me, pressing a gentle kiss to my clit. That alone was enough to draw a whine from me.
That was another thing people didn’t expect - how gentle he was. Don’t get me wrong, he could manhandle me just as well, but he also loved to take it nice and slow, dragging out my pleasure until I was begging him.
Which, apparently, he was not interested in doing tonight. He wasn’t gentle for more than a second before he was completely buried in between my thighs. He lapped at my pussy like a man starving, expertly swirling his tongue around my clit while one hand pushed harshly on my hip to pin me to the wall and he slipped two fingers inside me with the other.
I had to bite down on my fist to keep my moan contained when a group of people walked out of the ballroom. It hit me then just how close we were to the potential of being caught. The light of the opened door stopped mere inches before it could expose our figures, and that only served to turn Carter on even more.
He moved his mouth with even more vigor, and I gripped his hair and clenched my teeth as I came around his fingers.
As I came down from my orgasm, he wasted no time in standing up - keeping my leg to wrap around his waist again - and unbuckling his pants as he kissed me.
I moaned again at the taste of myself on his lips and he swallowed the sound. He kept his lips steadily moving against mine as he pushed into me, and the sweet burn of him stretching me out was dizzying.
He rocked his hips, still keeping his lips on mine, and I whimpered into his mouth. No matter how many times I had him, he never failed to make my head spin with pleasure.
That was the best thing about being with someone for so long - you got to know each other so well that making the other feel good was second nature.
Because of the time constraint, he moved even more quickly than normal, reaching his hand between us to rub circles on my clit, and I dropped my head onto his shoulder, letting the feeling build inside me until the tightly wound coil in me snapped.
The feeling of me squeezing around him pushed Carter over the edge and his thrusts stuttered until he was spilling into me, still pumping his hips until he was so oversensitive he let out a pitiful moan.
When he finally pulled out, he kept his hand on my center, using two fingers to push his release back into me.
“Can’t let my girl walk around all messy,” he said, kissing me sweetly, as if that wasn’t exactly what he wanted.
I rolled my eyes and helped him fix his pants, slipping my hand into his to step back into the light, when I saw Chuck Bass standing right outside the doors to the ballroom.
“Thanks for the show,” he said, patting Carter on the back as he walked past us.

I'm home late. - Toto Wolff
Suddenly had some inspiration to write. :) It's a bit short and I have not written anything in a while, so apologies if there are any mistakes.
summary: Toto is coming home a little later than expected after a long weekend in Baku.
warnings: none
words: 1.6K
It was Sunday evening and you had watched the Azerbaijan GP from home, you had witnessed a though weekend for Mercedes and all you wanted was to cuddle with your husband, who was still there. You knew that you couldn’t, because it was a six hour flight home and he had not texted yet that he was on the plane, meaning that he surely would be home after midnight. He had called you after the race, saying that the team did what was their limit for this weekend, wondering why the safety car always had such a bad timing. It wasn’t the first time Lewis or George had pitted right before an incident happened causing a safety car. You told him not to worry about it too much, there are still plenty of races left and everyone has their eyes on Imola.
After Toto finished his phone call with you, he was told to do interviews, he had dismissed Lewis already since he had to go somewhere else, meaning that there was one person less to fill in the press duties. Hearing your voice made him want to go home even more. after spending so much time at home in the previous weeks it was slightly strange to be on the road again. he had planned to be home before midnight European time, but due to a long debrief and an unplanned meeting, he knew he was not going to make that. therefore he texted his wife saying he would be late so that she would just go to bed without him. Sightly annoyed after a long day he arrived back at the hotel, quickly grabbing his stuff. The whole evening he had wondered how your first weekend with the F1 academy went, this was an important moment for you, which he didn’t want to discuss over the phone.
Right as your were putting your son to bed, Toto called. “Hey, I just wanted to let you know I’m almost on the plane and that you should just go to bed because I won’t be home shortly.” You smiled at the sight, he looked a little tired and his hair was a mess. “that is fine honey, as long as I find you next to me in the morning.” you smiled weakly to your phone. “I will be there.” He smiled. “good, I just put Jack to bed, I’m sure he will be happy to see you in the morning.” Toto’s smile grew wider. “I got him a little souvenir from Baku, I’m sure he will like it.” you nodded. “you’re not bringing home another helmet are you?” Toto chuckled at your words. “no, no, don’t worry, he’ll see it in the morning.” Toto laughed. “ETA is 2AM, safe me some space in the bed.” Toto smiled weakly, indicating that he had arrived at the plane and that he had to hang up the phone. “and promise me you will not stay awake this time, I know you have a lot to tell me but we can do that during breakfast.” You chuckled. “I can’t promise but I was really thinking about going to bed early, you are not the only one who’s had a busy weekend.”  Then Toto said it was time for him to hang up the phone, you’d say goodbye to each other. You couldn’t wait for him to be next to you in the bed. You were still right outside of Jack’s room, so you checked if he was asleep or secretly overhearing the conversation you had just had with his father. “Is Papi coming home tonight?” you heard a small voice in the dark. “yes darling, he will be here in the morning.” you turned on his little night light which you’d forgotten a second ago. “And now it is time for you to sleep, it’s just one more sleep before Papi is home.” You kissed his forehead. “see ya in the morning.” that was something he’d been started to recently say every night before he went to sleep. “good night baby.” You shook your head and smiled, he sure has that goofiness from his dad.
Toto’s flight was boring, he had tried to get some sleep and ended up getting just about one hour. When he woke up he had no idea what day or time it was, also because the time on his phone had returned to the time it was in Monaco. “the time switched back and we’re a few minutes away from landing.” Bradley spoke, as he looked at Toto, trying not to laugh. “Fuck I shouldn’t have slept, I feel like I’m on another planet.” Toto spoke, his voice sore from the cold air in the plane. “you also look like you just went to another planet, but don’t worry you’re still on earth and we’re almost home.” Bradley looked on his phone. “twenty minutes to be exact.” He added. “good I’m even more tired than before.” Toto’s head was hurting like crazy. He hadn’t slept too well in Baku and for some reason he had nothing to do on the plane which made him incredibly bored before he fell asleep. “next time please wake me up when I fall asleep, this is no fun.” Toto spoke, a bit cranky. “I’ll ensure to tell everyone that travels with you.” Bradley spoke unserious. “thanks.” Causing him to laugh even more, knowing that Toto thought he sure would.
When he arrived home the lights were all turned off. Good, he thought because that would mean that you were asleep already. As quiet as possible he dropped his luggage in the hallway, before taking of his shoes and jacket and heading up the stairs. He had already done his night routine during the final minutes of the flight so that he could go straight into bed. First he checked on Jack, quietly opening the door to his room, seeing him fast asleep in his bed. It was a bit of a routine for him to check on his son right as he arrived home after his bedtime. Then he went to his own bedroom, trying not to make any sounds while opening the door. Quickly he went to the bathroom to take off his clothes not bothering to put on some pajamas, almost dropping his belt on the concrete floor, which would’ve woken up the whole neighborhood for sure. He looked at the belt in his hand, which had almost reached the floor  for a second, before laying it down on a towel so that it would not make a sound. He turned off the light and then used the brightness of his phone as a light to find the bed. He stopped for a second, enjoying the sight of you sleeping in the bed. Your hair was already a mess but he still wondered how he got so lucky to have you as his wife. Carefully he put his phone down on the nightstand, not unlocking it so that he would still have a source of light as he got in the bed carefully.
You were a light sleeper, so you felt movement onto the bed. You kept your eyes closed, but you couldn’t resist smiling a little knowing that your man was back home. You were sure of it when you felt his leg against yours, as you may have been a little bit off your side of the bed onto his. This was also the confirmation you needed to turn over and move a bit closer to him. He knew by then that you weren’t really sleeping anymore and he was sure of it when you opened your eyes for a second. “hi.” You whispered, you noticed the source of light which made you able to see his face. He simply replied with a kiss on your forehead. “how was the flight.” You’d always ask that. “good, lets talk in the morning.” you opened your eyes again as you heard his sore voice. “are you ok?” you wondered, looking into his eyes, he looked like a ghost. “yea, I fell asleep on the plane and I woke up with a headache, sore voice and the feeling that I was on another planet.” You couldn’t help but chuckle. “let me guess Bradley brought you back to planet earth.” Toto just nodded. “yea, it was just switching time zones. “you’re just tired honey, let’s just get some sleep.” you moved closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder and moving your hand through his hair and letting it rest on his neck, carefully pulling him closer so you could kiss him. Those small kisses meant so much though they were so little. He then shifted a little so his head was on the same level as yours, wrapping his strong arms around you while he cuddled into your neck. “looks like you missed me after all.” you whispered, moving your fingers through his hair. “always, keep going.” He mumbled into your neck. “good night my love.” You whispered, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. “love you.” he muttered before letting out a big sigh. You just knew how tired he was from the fact that he didn’t bother sleeping in just a boxer, which you thought was funny. You smiled into his hair, continuing moving your fingers through his hair before the both of you fell into a deep sleep.  No matter how often he was gone, no matter how used you were to it, there was no better feeling than falling asleep and holding onto each other like it’s been months since you last saw each other.

so i don't have to keep imagining - jeno
Tumblr media
“but when we’re dancing i’m alright”
pairing: jeno x reader genre: fluff, angst (barely) word count: 1.7k contains: friends to lovers, confessions, the l word, alcohol consumption, kissing, i am nothing if not predictable summary: after a drunken confession, you find yourself wondering how you really feel about jeno
“I think you’ve had enough, Nono,” you say, prying the cup from Jeno’s hand.
“No,” he pouts. “‘M fine.”
You look at his unbalanced posture and glassy eyes and stifle a laugh. You shake your head. “How about we go do something else, hm?”
“Like?”
“I haven’t seen the rest of the boys in a while. Let’s go see what they’re up to,” you suggest, slipping your hand into his. You’re too busy trying to maneuver through the crowd without losing him that you don’t notice the blush on his cheeks or the admiration in his eyes.
The two of you stumble upon Jaemin, Renjun, and Jisung in the corner of the dining room. “Hey guys,” you say casually, acting like Jeno isn’t literally about to fall over.
“I don’t want to babysit,” Renjun whines. “Go find Haechan or something.”
“That requires searching and I think going anywhere is out of the cards right now,” you say, helping Jeno sit down in one of the wooden dining chairs.
As the rest of you talk, Jeno just sits back and observes. He likes watching you laugh, even if he isn’t the one making you happy. But he’s also too jittery to sit still for very long, so eventually he pushes himself up and grabs your hand again.
“Can we go dance?” he asks, giving his best puppy dog eyes.
“I don’t know—“
“Please?”
You sigh. “Okay.”
You say goodbye to the rest of the guys and follow Jeno down the hall to the living room that’s packed with people. The music is loud enough that you can feel the bass, but you like dancing and whenever you come to parties, you always dance with Jeno. Always.
Jeno pulls you into the crowd and turns to face you, placing his hands on your waist. You wrap your arms around his shoulders, your face against his chest. You sway to the beat of the music together for a few minutes, getting lost in the noise and enjoying the feeling of being together. Then, Jeno drops his head so his mouth is next to your ear.
“You look so pretty tonight,” he says, his words still slightly slurred, but he sounds sincere, like it isn’t just the alcohol talking.
You look up at him and are startled by the adoration present in his eyes. He brings his hand up to cup your cheek and your breath hitches.
“Why are you telling me this?” you ask.
“Isn’t it obvious?” he asks, his gaze softening. “I love you.”
You almost say it back, because you do love him, but you have a feeling that he means something different.
So you ask, “What do you mean by that?”
He leans towards you, turning your head so he can speak right into your ear and doesn’t have to worry about shouting.
“I’m in love with you.”
And there it is, out in the open. Sure, you’d had your suspicions. Jeno treated you differently than his other friends, and at first you thought it was just because you were a girl, but recently it had felt like it was more than that. He always looked at you with such kindness and he never raised his voice when speaking to you. It was clear things were different, you just didn’t know why.
“Nono…” you say softly, before trailing off because what do you say? You hadn’t thought about your feelings towards him. You didn’t even know if you liked him in that way. He was your friend, so full of joy and love and every time you were together you only thought about the present moment. You’d never considered what could happen if he ever confessed.
He pulls away and you feel your heart break at the heavy sadness that fills his eyes. “I shouldn’t have said that,” he says, letting go of you entirely. “I’m sorry.”
“What?” you ask. What on earth could he possibly be sorry for?
“I’m so sorry.” And before you can say anything else, he steps back and disappears into the crowd.
For a few seconds, you stand there dazed, still processing his words. Then someone bumps into you, knocking you out of your thoughts.
“Sorry about that,” the person says. “Oh, hey y/n.” You can’t help but smile as you see Haechan standing there. “Where’s Jeno?”
Your chest feels tight and for a second you’re afraid you might burst into tears, but you manage to keep yourself in check. “Let’s go outside,” you say, and Haechan nods, so you lead him through the crowded room and down the hall to the back of the house.
There’s a porch out back, but everyone there is using it to smoke, so you go out into the yard and sit on one of the lounge chairs by the pool.
“Did you guys fight or something?” Haechan asks and you can hear the nervousness in his voice.
You shake your head. “He… Apparently he’s in love with me.”
“Congrats, you’re literally the last one to figure that out,” Haechan says and you laugh a little, knowing he’s trying his best to lighten up the situation. Then he says, “But you don’t feel the same.”
“No. I mean yes. I mean…” you bury your face in your hands. “I don’t know. I guess I’ve never thought about it before. Being with him like that.”
“Well, are you opposed to the idea?”
You shrug and think about it. Not much would change, honestly. You already held his hand practically everywhere you went. You shared a bed during sleepovers and woke up in each other’s arms more often than not. You played video games together and cooked dinner for the other boys. You bickered and joked. You went on “friend dates” all the time, just the two of you. You acted like a couple already.
And it was comfortable. You loved the dynamic you two had together. You’d like spending even more time with him. In a relationship, you’d go on actual dates and you could introduce him as your boyfriend and you’d never have to watch him flirt with another girl at a party and wonder why it made your stomach turn uncomfortably. And you could kiss him.
You’d never thought about that before, but now you realize that you want to. You want to know what he tastes like, what chapstick he uses, if his kisses are tender and soft or full of fire and passion.
“No,” you finally say. “I’m not opposed to the idea at all.”
“Do you know what you want to do?”
You imagine what it all would be like, actually dating him. A relationship full of adventurous dates and movie marathons. Spending time with him, someone that you love.
“I should tell him,” you say. “I’m going to tell him.”
Haechan smiles at you. “Okay. But you might want to wait until he isn’t drunk.”
So you wait.
But two days later you find yourself on his doorstep. You thought about bringing him something, maybe flowers, but that seemed way too over the top. So you show up empty handed, hoping that your feelings alone are enough.
You knock three times and wait nervously. It takes a minute, but finally you hear the lock click and the door open. Jeno stands there in his pajamas, hair messy. His eyes widen as he sees you and he not so subtly tries to fix his hair.
“Um… hey,” he says awkwardly.
“Can I come in?” you ask. The formality is uncomfortable. You had a key to his place and usually barged right in. This felt so different, so off.
“Uh, sure, yeah,” he says, stepping to the side and letting you into the apartment.
You look around at the place and it looks just like you remember. You almost feel like you could flop down on the couch while Jeno makes popcorn and you load up Mario Kart, but the heavy tension in the air causes the fantasy to fade away.
“I’m sorry,” he says. “I didn’t mean to make things weird between us. You’re one of my best friends and I don’t want to lose that so can we just… just forget about it? Pretend like it never happened.”
Your heart drops. “Is that really what you want?” you ask, disappointment lacing your words.
“I… I want whatever you want. And if you want to leave it in the past, then so do I.”
“And what if I don’t?” you ask.
“Don’t what?”
“I don’t want to leave it behind and just move on. I want… I want to try a relationship. If that’s what you want.”
Jeno looks up at you, his eyes filled with confusion. “What?”
“I’ve been thinking about what you said. And I realized that I really, really like you. I think I have for a while now,” you admit.
Jeno breaks into a smile, still not quite believing what he’s hearing, but the joy still overwhelming. “You really want to? You’d say yes if I asked?”
You nod, a smile creeping onto your face as well.
“I… Well, then. Will you go on a date with me? A real one.”
You grin. “I’d love that.”
So Jeno takes you roller skating and you end up being significantly better at it than he is, but he still has a good time with you and the pout on his lips every time he falls is adorable.
When you get back to his apartment, he hugs you goodbye.
“I had a good time today. But maybe we can stay in next time?”
“Next time, huh?” you ask, a smirk on your face.
“Obviously,” he jokes and you can’t help but grin at him. “I’ll text you.”
You nod. “Goodnight Nono.”
He blushes. “Goodnight.”
Before he can disappear into his apartment, you catch him by the sleeve. “Wait,” you say and before Jeno can ask what you’re doing, you pull him into a kiss.
His lips are soft, just like you thought they’d be. At first, he’s completely frozen in shock, but then he begins to kiss you gently. One of his hands comes up to rest on the back of your neck, the other slipping around your waist and pulling you closer to him. You smile into the kiss and run your fingers through his hair.
When you break apart, you’re both breathless and he smiles down at you, stroking your cheek.
“Stay,” he whispers.
“Okay,” you say. You’ll stay. You’ll stay for as long as he’ll have you.

Part 4 of guilty conscience
Tumblr media
Hope you all enjoy.
Smut and angst warning.
This is Jackies POV
As she hung up on Cole, tears formed in Her eyes, not only was she in shock with the words that he had began to mutter. She was also homesick. she felt like she just found her new family, only to leave them without warning. she may have not liked Colorado when she first arrived, however, this countrified little town she grew to love. This family had accepted her, as she is, no questions asked.
George and Catherine’s presence, The Brothers bickering, Parkers ball hitting the house, even the dogs bark. She missed it all. The thought of Alex, not knowing what happened, why she left, and why she wasn’t answering haunted her. She needed to call and explain herself. but she would give Herself tonight, to try and find the right words. To tell this boy that she had began to grow attached to that he wasn’t the one that she truthfully desired.
She fell into a light slumber, awakening all through the night by the sound of traffic, people, arguing, music in the distance. The morning came around quickly as sleep eluded her. She entered in the living room she glanced suspiciously at Danny pacing the room, getting ready for Juilliard. “ you will be great today I have no doubt”. He looked at her, with relief. like that’s exactly what he needed to hear. “ thanks Jackie, I hope you have a great day at your internship as well, I’ll see you tonight.” With that Danny left making his way to the front door. The apartment was quiet, uncle Richard Had left for business in the early hours. He would be back tomorrow morning.
She got her bag ready, fixed Her hair, chose the right outfit, and yet she still had an hour to spare. She decided to have that dreaded phone call. the One she had been avoiding. She unlocks her phone, scrolls through the contacts until she sees the name, Alex, Walter and she hits the call button. Her heart starts beating uncontrollably.
He answers on the fifth ring. Frantically he starts talking “ hey what’s up? where are you? Why haven’t I heard from you? Are you ok?”. Jackie takes a deep breath. “ hey Alex, I’m so sorry that I left without saying goodbye, I’ve got the internship. I found out in the morning and they needed me right away. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, I just thought that would be better for me, just to leave, I’m in New York with Danny”.
Alex continued talking, he couldn’t quite fathom the reason why she didn’t wake anyone. Why she couldn’t say goodbye to her boyfriend. why she just upped and left. he barely let her speak. With that, she cut him off. “ look Alex, I know that you’re going to camp today and obviously I’m in New York to do my internship, I think we should hit the pause button on us, I’m sorry, it’s just not working.”. She said sympathetically.. “ what do you mean pause button on us? we were together. I told you I loved you, you said nothing back, I wake up to find you gone, the teapot the one that Parker broke in your bedroom all fixed. I don’t buy it. I know that this is something to do with Cole. what did he do?”.
She takes deep breath, obviously she’s not going to confess everything that happened. That would cause more hostility in the house. “ Cole hasn’t done anything, he gave me the teapot, as a thank you, for helping him get back on the right path, he also knew how much it meant to me, I’m sorry I’m doing this over the phone but I’ll see you when your back from camp and maybe we can talk about it then”. with that Alex replied “sure”. He hung up on her.
Jackie felt a huge relief, maybe not About the cheating part. But in general she had put a stop to the relationship at least for now. She had only just got over the hottest make out session of her life.
Jackie had made it to her internship, she had began doing office work and organising which is something she love to do. She had no complaints, as she finally took her lunch break. She could see, this farmer looking Young man staring at her through the window. She started to think that she was going crazy. there’s no way that Cole walter is in New York. as he gets closer and closer. she still can’t believe her eyes.
As he enters and uses those famous words. “ Hey New York” she quivers. Not thinking, instinctively she rises from her chair. heads over to him. She forcefully grabs him by the neck and presses her lips against his. The kiss intensifies as he pulls her in closer and her legs start to buckle at the sensation.
The bag strap falls from his shoulder. hits the ground with a massive thud. She suddenly snaps back into reality and steps backwards. “Jackie, you’ll be the death of me” He mutters breathlessly, his eyes still fixed on hers. After finally getting her breath back. “ I can’t believe I just did that, what are you doing here?”. He smiles at her. “ I came here for you“.
She can hear voices in the distance growing closer and closer she chooses to step back again to create some more distance. “ Miss Howard, Louise has asked me if you could have those numbers done by tonight at the latest please”. This raven haired, businesswoman asks “ sure, no problem” Jackie replies. as the woman turns and walks away. Jackie turns to Cole. “ we will talk tonight, do you have anywhere to stay? or do you wanna stay at Uncle Richards?”.
As she holds her posture. “ I didn’t really think that far ahead, would it be okay if I stay at Richards?” he says, not, even blinking once, eyes transfixed on her. “ of course. I’ve got to get back to work but I’ll text you the address. Nobody should be there at the moment, Richard is on business, Danny is at Juilliard, so let yourself in, please make yourself at home”. She says handing him a key from her bag.
Cole leans down and picks up his bag “sure New York, thanks”. He heads towards the door, Of course not without giving her one last look up and down. she starts to feel Fire burning throughout her whole body, watching him leave through the window.
Jackie hurries to Richard’s apartment once she has finished her work and told she can leave. She enters the front door and heads inside looking for Cole. She finds him in the living room sat on the couch watching football waiting for her, When he finally spots her “hey we need to talk”. He says gulping at her beauty, she heads toward him, she drops her bag off of her back mid stride as it hits the floor. She places one leg over his waist and begins to straddle him.
He’s taken back a bit, this is not what he was expecting at all. He looks up into her eyes as she hovers above him. They are blown wide, pupils dilated. This time it’s his turn. He grabs the back of her head pulling her down. Lips crashing, hands moving all over each other, Moans and grunts escaping uncontrollably. His hand is lowering as her dress is rising up. She knows she wants him more than anything. They both stop dead where they hear a cough emerge from the other end of the living room, they both turn to see Danny stood there with a horrifying look on his face.

Lover of mine – 5 Seconds of Summer
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Previously - Next Chapter
When I take a look at my life and all of my crimes You're the only thing that I think I got right
Astonished. That was how Charles felt.
As light as a feather. That was the feeling of her lips on his.
A mirage. That was what Lyanna was.
“I’m so sorry.” She whispered against his lips before leaving as quick as she came, leaving Charles there, still trying to process what just happened.
He knew better now than to run after her. He could tell that she did not plan to kiss him, that somehow it just happened. That right now, she might be scared and panicking. Every fiber in his body wanted to go after her, to take her in his arms and to kiss her again. But he also knew that she needed her own space. She needed to put her feelings in order and he was probably the last person she wanted help from.
Still, he could not get rid of the feeling of having his heart ripped in two. A half for him and the other for her. Tonight, she had left with a piece of his heart, one he did not want back.
He slept really bad, tossing, and turning, reliving the kiss, and blaming himself for not reacting quicker. As a driver, it was something he usually was proud of. How fast he could react. He could have had hold her; she would have been trapped in his arms. And he would not have let her go. When his alarm went off, he grumbled. He still had to pack and he had to leave soon.
It was around ten in the morning that Joris came to his place to pick him up to go to the airport. Seeing his friend’s pale and tired face, he worried.
“Tough night?”
“Horrible.” Charles confirmed.
“Pre-race jitters, or something else?”
“Lyanna kissed me. And she left. I didn’t have the opportunity to properly say goodbye.”
“Oh, wow. Well, I certainly did not expect that. I would have bet you would have been the one to make the first move.”
“Thought so too. She beat me to it. But then she said sorry and she panicked. I asked her to come to Zandvoort. I will wait and see now.”
“Don’t you want to make a quick stop at her place?”
“Do we have time?”
Joris checked his watch.
“Well,I’d say we have 15 minutes top. If you take longer, we might have to go past the speed limits.”
That's all it took for Charles to head for the stairs, which would be quicker than waiting for the lift. He climbed the stairs one by one before arriving at Lyanna's door and banging on the wooden panel. No answer. Which didn't surprise him. He continued for another 5 minutes before the next door opened, revealing an old lady and her Chihuahua.
“The young lady left early this morning at around 4am. I know because I could hear her crying and dragging her suitcase. It made a loud noise in the corridor and woke up my little Floppy. What a naughty girl. If you see her again, tell her that next time I'm going to report her to the security guard.”
She was gone. For good. Without a backward glance. What could he have done to make her run away like that? Was he such a bad kisser? Charles asked himself a thousand and one questions. He wasn't surprised that she had run away, even if it disappointed him a little, he sincerely thought that they were past this. He knew she still had some inner demons to fight but he thought that he would be by her side to help her get through them.
So many incoherences he could not process. She kissed him and yet she was the one who ran away. If she kissed him, that would mean that she had some kind of feelings for him. He could understand that it could be frightening for her, considering what she went through during her previous relationship. But what he could not fathom was that she preferred to leave rather than talk to him. They were both adults, and first and foremost, they were friends. If the kiss was just a spur of the moment, because she was feeling emotional and it didn’t mean anything for her, fine he could put it past him. If she had some romantic feelings for him, it was also fine. Charles knew that he was feeling something more than just friendship, not being entirely sure that it was love. But his point was, they could explore their connection together. See where it could lead. Together.  He was ready for that and more importantly he wanted to.
He could have texted her to say all that, he almost did. But it was a conversation that needed to be made in person.
His thoughts occupied him throughout the journey. He was surprisingly quiet, only responding when spoken to. And even then, it was in relatively short sentences. His bad mood was evident in the days leading up to the race to the point that Fred, Ferrari’s team principal, took him aside to is driver’s room before heading for the first free practice on Friday.
‘You’ve been in a bad mood all the week, kiddo. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” He replied sharply.
“I just want to make sure you have your head in the game, Charles.”
“Don’t worry about me and just make sure that this fucking car is actually drivable.” He snapped.
Fred didn’t say anything, only looked at him. He had a way of being with Charles that made him feel like a little boy. In many ways, they were similar. The same taste for winning, for hard work, for respecting teams, for honesty. He was one of the people Charles trusted most. Fred could read him like an open book, in his silences and in his eyes.
“I invited someone and I think she won’t come. That’s it.”
“So it’s a girl. She must have hurt you a lot for you to be acting like that.”
“The thing is… I’m not mad or even hurt. I think. I understand her, I know her reasons but at the same time I can’t help but be disappointed. I just want to see her; I want to know that she is okay but I don’t know where she is.”
“Well, if she makes you feel like that, she must be pretty special.”
“I care a lot about her, yes.” He confessed.
“Then I’m sure you will both find your ways back to each other. But for now, I need you to be fully focused Charles, okay?”
“You know that I will.”
The free practices went on relatively well. Not bad but not good either, something that Charles was unfortunately used to, and soon enough it was time for qualifying. Charles knew that this was his strong point, so he approached Saturday with a certain relaxed attitude. Even if his eyes lingered a little longer than usual in the crowd. On his way around the paddock, he spotted Pierre in the middle of a warm-up session with his physio. He approached her to wish her luck. As his best friend knew him all too well, he immediately noticed the Ferrari driver's deceptively relaxed attitude.
“She is not here. And Kika has not heard about her since our last dinner in Monaco.”
Charles swallowed. He had suspected it, but a wave of disappointment washed over him.
“If I have news, you’ll be the first one to know, okay?” added the Alpine driver.
“Thanks Pierre.”
With his head full of questions, Charles climbed into his single seater. In this environment, he always managed to detach himself from the rest of the world and enter his own bubble. Today was no exception, even if it was more difficult than usual. And so the qualifying session began. Charles took his time before starting his flying lap and he quickly sensed that something wasn't quite right. It didn't take him long to realise that there was an engine problem, forcing him to stop dead in the middle of the road. By the time he had extricated himself from the car, the smell of burning had caught in his throat.
The red flag brought Q1 to a premature end, placing Charles at the back of the grid for Sunday's start.
A few hours away from Zandvoort, in a childhood bedroom, Lyanna watched the qualification session and her heart ached for Charles. She arrived in her mom’ s home the day after that fateful dinner at Charles’ place, her eyes puffy and red. No questions were asked by her mom who simply took her daughter in her arms and tried to console her the best she could.
But seeing her little girl watching a car race when she never demonstrated any interest for the sport, she couldn’t help but get curious. Especially when Lyanna made a weird face when the commentator announced that Charles was out.
“Isn’t it the famous boy you were always trying to avoid talking about when I started questioning you about him when dating rumours came out?” she asked sitting on her daughter’s bed.
Lyanna nodded.
“Is he the one I should blame for making you come here, all the way from Monaco a week before you said you would come here?”
“It’s me. Who messed up, mom.”
And here she was again, the tears accumulating behind her eyelids.
“Oh my sweet girl…”
He mother took her in her arms, gently rocking her while Lyanna let the tears stream down her face.
“Whatever you did, I’m sure you can fix it.”
“I kissed him mom. And then I ran away. Like a coward, something I promised myself I wouldn’t be anymore. He taught me to be brave and how do I thank him?”
“Do you love this boy?”
“I… I don’t know. I like him, I care for him but what do I know about love?”
“If you care, then it’s enough. You don’t have to put words on what you feel if you are not ready.”
“I’m sure he hates me.”
“Did you talk to him?”
“I’m too scared of being rejected. I sure would reject myself if I was him.”
Her mom sighed. She was used to see her daughter so unconfident.
“You will never know, if you keep on avoiding him. And if he is smart enough, he will listen to you.”
“He is so great mom. He is funny, he is kind, he is brave, he cares about people. He helped me when I never asked him to, just because it was something that seemed normal to him. He is down to earth, he is loyal. He loves his family and is friends. He is perfect. Well not really, because sometimes he can be stubborn and he has a hard time knowing what limits are. And he doesn’t know how to cook, which is not a bad thing but I would not trust him in a kitchen by himself. And he can be cocky. But… he makes me feel good. And happy. And I really miss him.” She let out in one breath.
“Well, he seems like a great man. A great man for a great woman.”
“I don’t feel great right now…”
“You too are funny and kind and brave. You are the most hard-working woman I’ve met Lyanna. All the hardships you went through, all the battles you fought, made you who you are. You are strong, stronger than you think. You are bright. And I’m so, so proud of the woman you become and keep on becoming. And I’m not saying that just because you are my daughter. You are loveable, my Lya. And if this boy can make you feel like the happiest woman in the world, hang on to him. At least, talk to him. If it works out, then it could be the most beautiful thing in your life. If it doesn’t, then I’ll be there to fix the broken pieces of your heart, sweetheart.”
Lyanna could simply nod while hearing her mother’s words. She knew what she had to do.
On Charles’ end, the Sunday race was as awful than the qualification session. A DNF was just what he needed to end this awful week. Coming back in the garage, he did what he could to avoid photographers. He was annoyed and the first words he spoke as he entered the Ferrari garage were for the mechanics and engineers.
“Is it too much to ask to have one weekend, just one, of happiness or at least one without mechanical or strategic problems?”
But despite his poor weekend, he was pleased to see Pierre finish 5th just behind Russell's Mercedes.
At Alpine, the mood was a little happier than at Ferrari. Pierre and Esteban were celebrating their top 10 finishes, Kika taking videos as a souvenir, when the brunette saw a notification flash across her screen. Lyanna had just contacted her.
“I messed up. Again but big time, this time. I would understand if you didn’t want to help me but I just want to make things right. Is there a way for Pierre to get me VIP access for Monza next week? And please, not a word to Charles, I want to surprise him.”
Kika smiled and headed to Pierre to get him away from the team for a while.
“Lyanna texted me. She wants to surprise Charles at Monza.”
Pierre sighed.
“Is she sure? He is going to get a lot of attention.”
“She seemed determined.”
“Well then I guess, we will have a prestigious guest in Alpine’s garage next week.”
Kika quickly responded to the actress saying that Pierre would take care of everything. Even if Sunday was an awful day for Lyanna, she really hated to see Charles giving his all and not succeeding, she slept that day with a little smile on her face.
Monza, be ready. Here she comes.

author's note: Did you really thought that I would leave this chapter drama free? 👀 How many of you want to smack Lyanna after breaking (once again) Charles' heart? How do you think Monza will go? Will Charles forgive her? Will he ignore her? Will he be mad? And how do you think Lyanna will act? I can't wait to have your reaction! Don't forget to leave a comment, or if you want to chat more of this story you, my DMs are open! Take care.

Waves Part 43
Tumblr media
This chapter takes place after a tiny time jump. Originally, the Taylor Brooks trial had been three full chapters, but because we have to get ready for Lana's baby, I have condensed the trial. I may publish those cut chapters in a separate story just focusing on Eve's career if anyone is interested!
“You two are very, very funny, but it’s not happening and I’ve already explained why. You’re staying here,” Eve yelled over her shoulder, fiddling with the rickety Keurig machine in the small kitchen.
“These are fantastic disguises Eve. No one will know it’s us. We promise, we won’t say anything or talk to anyone,” Andrea argued, cracking up as she stared at Joe. Both of them were wearing plastic party glasses complete with fake noses and multicolored mustaches; a silly joke in a last minute attempt to get into the gallery at the courtroom.
After four brutal weeks of hospitalization and rehab, Andrea was on the mend and in Cleveland with Joe and Eve while Taylor Brooks' trial resumed. She still had a long way to go and was wheelchair bound; Joe taking her to physical therapy three days a week at a local facility, but she had exceeded the expectations of her medical team.
“Clowns! I’m stuck in a damn Hyatt with a bunch of clowns,” Eve muttered, “as I’ve told you both multiple times: it is extremely inappropriate for the family of a defense attorney to sit in the gallery, but even if it wasn’t, there is no way in hell Joe Burrow is going to be able to sneak into a courtroom without causing a scene. You two can watch the highlights tonight on the news like everyone else.”
While Brooks’ legal team had made multiple requests to the judge to ban cameras from the trial, none of them had been granted due to the immense amount of public interest in the case. That meant every night when Eve crawled back into the dingy extended stay, she found Joe and Andrea glued to the television, both of them angrily shouting at the talking heads that frequently focused on Eve’s performance.
The legal analysts with any merit were mostly complimentary of Eve; commending her on her strong cross examination of the state’s witnesses and highlighting her work with the Innocence Project. What Eve wasn’t prepared for was the unforeseen discovery of who she was in a relationship with and the soapy commentary about her being Joe’s girlfriend being infused into the analysis of the trial.
While Eve knew she wasn’t totally unknown, she was still constantly surprised that anyone would find it notable who she was dating; that even after all this time including two trips to the Super Bowl and even a long breakup, anyone cared who she was. She’d naively thought she’d fade into the background, but she was wrong.
Instead, the media coverage of what was arguably the most important case of her career was filled with speculation about a non-existent secret engagement; her clothing; and a strange segment on if she was upset about the courthouse being a mile away from the Browns’ stadium.
“These glasses totally hide my face. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Joe chuckled, scratching Flossy behind the ears while he twirled his purple mustache. “Okay you two, I’ve got to go. Behave yourselves. Stay off your burner accounts,” Eve glared at Andrea who had begun commenting on every tweet critical of Eve, “and I will see you later tonight. Adam’s going to come by so let’s order pizza or something.”
Kissing them both goodbye, Eve left Joe and her mother at the hotel and made her way to the police convoy that escorted her to the courthouse every morning. She used the drive on the way to the building as time to quiet her mind; a chance to meditate on the day ahead and focus before she had to get game ready.  This particular day would be monumental as the state would be putting on Joseph Franklin, providing Eve with her first opportunity to cross examine him.
When Franklin first appeared on the witness list, Eve had been taken aback. It was unprecedented for the prosecution to call a witness that the defense was presenting as a possible suspect, and neither Eve nor any of her co-counsel had quite pinned down what the state’s angle would be. Her gut told her they were going to try and get ahead of what was inevitably going to come out regarding Bridget Pope’s affair with Franklin and attempt to portray him as a grieving partner who just happened to be in the area when his girlfriend was murdered.
Soon the car slowed, signaling that Eve had arrived at the courthouse and she quickly made her way through security. Greeting Michael and Lara, they convened at the defense’s table for a few minutes before Taylor Brooks was brought in. “Good morning team,” Taylor smiled, “schedule still the same for today?”
Nodding, Lara pulled out some notes and leaned in to whisper. “Joseph Franklin will be the only witness called today. We’re figuring that the state will take all of the morning and Eve won’t get to cross until after the recess. You’ve done a great job at managing your non-verbal communication throughout the trial, but just a reminder: regardless of what lies he says, whatever nonsense the prosecutor spews, do not react. No frowning, sighing, slouching.  If you hear something you want us to take note of, write it down for us. Otherwise, just continue to not let the jury see any reaction out of you.”
“Of course. I’ve prepared myself for what they might say. I’ve had 20 years to steel myself for this moment,” Taylor assured them. Before Eve could interject one more reminder for Brooks, the bailiff indicated that the jurors would be brought in shortly and the room fell silent.
Eve’s hypothesis regarding the prosecution’s angle with Franklin’s testimony proved to be correct as for two hours, he played the role of heartbroken lover who had coincidentally stumbled upon a crime scene.
Clad in a plain light blue button up shirt and maroon cardigan, Franklin looked like he was cosplaying someone’s feeble grandpa; hunched over and repeatedly pretending like he couldn’t hear well. Eve snuck several glances at the jury box throughout his testimony and had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at the way one older female juror kept looking at him with sympathy when he started blathering on about how he had planned to propose to Bridget Pope before she was killed.
Reminder for Connie’s testimony: bring up her parent’s marital status and drive home fact happily married. Franklin is a CHEATER! Eve scribbled on her notepad during one particularly weepy portion of Franklin’s appearance.
While he did his best to seem guileless, there was still something sinister about Franklin’s presence; a darkness behind his eyes that brought an intimidating aura Eve hoped the rest of the jury clocked as well. A few times during his testimony, he made eye contact with Eve and she felt her own blood run cold, a reminder that while they were relatively safe in the sterile fortress that was the courthouse, this man was still responsible for at least one murder and countless violent acts that permeated every aspect of this case.
It was noon on the dot when the judge dismissed the court for lunch, everyone filing out like ants. Eve and Lara were in the hallway checking their phones when Lara nudged Eve and pulled her to the side. “Heads up, Tony Allen is here. He just walked out of the gallery,” Lara hissed.
Cursing under her breath, Eve subtly looked over her shoulder and spotted Tony glancing around, most likely looking for her. “Can you cover for me? I don’t have it in me to try and make small talk,” Eve groaned. Lara was well aware of her history with Tony and nodded, strolling down the hall to intercept him while Eve quickly walked upstairs to the cafeteria to grab a snack.
She was gazing out the large windows that overlooked Edgewater Park when a tall woman walked up and stood next to her, also looking out at the lake. “I used to go to that beach all the time as a kid. I’m sure it’s filthy now,” the woman remarked.
“Probably full of chemical spills and trash,” Eve joked, not breaking her gaze to look at the woman. “It looks so tranquil from up here. Have you gone down and walked around the river bank? I’m sure it’s very calming…that might be helpful to you. You’ve got so much going on right now.”
Snapping her head over to the woman, she noticed a press badge clipped to her belt loops and Eve turned to leave. “I shouldn’t be talking to you,” Eve chirped. “Oh, I’m not here covering the trial. Tina Casper, Sports Illustrated,” the woman smiled, holding out her hand. Ignoring it, Eve shook her head and continued down the hallway. “Yeah, I really shouldn’t be talking to you,” Eve retorted, “please, this isn’t appropriate. I’d recommend you leave now.”
“I wanted to give you a chance to give a quote about the baby. My understanding is Ms. Danielson is due any day now,” Tina called out. Freezing in her tracks, Eve’s heart stopped as she turned around, struggling to maintain a calm demeanor. “I don’t know anyone by that name, and I certainly don’t know what baby you’re referring to,” Eve grunted.
“Yes, you do. I’ve got photos of you confronting Lana Danielson at the Cincinnati Airport. You’re well aware that she is pregnant with Joe Burrow's baby. I’m offering you a chance to comment on it before we publish the story,” Tina smiled. Mashing her lips together, Eve closed the space between them and leaned in, her voice low.
“I’m not sure who you are, what photos you have, or if you really work for Sports Illustrated, but I’m telling you right now, whatever you’re trying to do, whatever you’re trying to spin, I would stop it. This will not end well for anyone trying to embarrass my boyfriend. I will make sure you are so tied up in litigious red tape, you won’t even be able to post a Facebook update about your cats. Am I making myself clear?”
The two women stood centimeters apart in silence before Tina finally blinked, holding up her hands. “I’ll take that as a no comment. Thank you Ms. Wilson,” Tina smirked, turning on her heels and heading downstairs.
Rushing into a nearby bathroom, Eve leaned her head against the stall door and tried to steady her breathing. This was the last thing she needed right before she cross examined Joseph Franklin, and she had no time to spend on investigating how this woman had found out about Lana. Typing out a 911 message to Joe and his agent, she powered off her phone and splashed water on her face to cool off.
Eve had pushed the thought of Lana out of her head by the time she walked back into the courtroom from lunch, reviewing her notes briefly before the jury was seated. There was a brief delay while they waited for Joseph Franklin to make his way back to the courtroom; the prosecutor giving some nonsense excuse for his tardiness being due to his age. “Must be nice,” Michael mused through gritted teeth.
Standing up from her seat, Eve smoothed her hands over her skirt and stood in front of the witness stand, locking eyes with the man responsible for so many atrocities that had bled into her life. “Good Afternoon Mr. Franklin. I’d like to discuss your job as a security guard.”
