Which Filmbro movie I think every driver likes a little too much

Lewis: Interstellar. Please you just know he watched this and thought it was the deepest shit ever. He probably shed a tear or two when the power of love saved the day lmao.

Charles: Whiplash. I just know Charles sees himself as a tortured artist okay, and he’d probably completely miss the point and think what Miles Teller’s character did was admirable.

Pierre: The Big Short. Listen, this bitch is into crypto. I feel like I don’t have to say anything else.

Daniel: Baby Driver. He would think the car chase sequences are the greatest cinematic achievement of all time and that its soundtrack is so cool - and also, Edgar Wright’s dumb humour is right up his alley.

Sebastian: Drive. I feel like he’d appreciate the artistry of it all and he wouldn’t admit it but he’d look at Ryan Gosling’s character and be like omg he’s literally me.

Esteban: The Dark Knight. It has come to my attention he’s a huge Marvel fan and it’s literally the same thing but “darker” so I know he thinks it’s the height of cinema and Christian Bale is his role model.

Lance: Inception. Esteban and Lance think Christopher Nolan is God’s gift to cinema you can’t change my mind. He probably drones to his gf about how smart this movie is and how the ending is brilliant and she’s just like mhm okay sweetie please just come to bed.

Mick: Blade Runner 2049. Kinda reaching with this one but I just feel like he enjoys the existential dread of it all. He also probably relates to Ryan Gosling’s character, like mentor like mentored.

Fernando: Ford v Ferrari. I feel like he would appreciate how it shows the olden days of motorsport and how executives ruin everything, he would also think it deserved to win the Oscar over Parasite.

Valtteri: The Godfather. If any of the drivers can sit through a three hour long movie it’s definitely him, and he does feel like he’s superior to everyone else for saying it’s his favourite movie.

Antonio: Die Hard. I love him but he’s a little basic, a little predictable. He probably quotes from it a lot and just likes to watch people blowing things up.

Lando: The Wolf of Wall Street. Have you seen what he gets up to in his free time I’m 100% sure he thinks Jordan Belfort was cool as fuck and he completely glosses over the fact that this movie clearly shows why that lifestyle sucks.

Carlos: Scarface. I don’t know ya’ll I just know deep in my heart he’s done a bad Tony Montana impression more than once in his life. “Say hello to my little friend!” okay man tell us what happens in any other scene of the movie I dare you.

Max: Fight Club. He would un-ironically think Tyler Durden is the coolest character ever and also that starting an actual fight club is a genius idea.

Checo: Gladiator. I’ve never in my life met a dad who doesn’t consider this the best movie of all time, that’s my entire thought process.

Yuki: Inglorious Bastards. Man likes his violence and I feel like Tarantino’s brand of fucked up humour very much appeals to him. He also probably gasps every time Michael Fassbender throws up that three.

George: Skyfall. He’s British.

Nicky: Saving Private Ryan. I remember the selfie in that war tank Mr Latifi, I never forget.

Kimi: Terminator. He probably relates to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character man idk.

Mazepin: Joker. No explanation needed.

F1 2020 Grid as German rap songs

Since the 2020 season has come to an end, I thought it might be a good idea to finally share this thing that I’ve been working on since June. I have no idea as to why or how I had this idea, but I’m sure I’m not the first one to do this, anyway. I’m sorry to all my fellow Germans in advance <3

Disclaimer: I translated all of the lyrics myself so some things might not be completely accurate, for which I can only apologize. I do not agree with the way some rappers portray women, so I made sure to steer clear from those lyrics.

Lewis - Vintage (RIN)

Oh Lord, wo soll das Ganze enden? Fahr' so schnell, ich wechsel' jede Woche Bremsen

[Oh Lord, where is this supposed to end? Driving so fast, I’m changing brakes every week]

It’s a song about being a champion, living a luxury life, nice clothes, and well...driving fast cars. Any more questions? Rin is one of my favorite German rap artists, so I just had to include his songs, and this one makes you feel like a real badass, just like our king Lewis 😌

Valtteri - In meinem Benz (AK Ausserkontrolle, Bonez MC)

Du siehst mich im Benz sitzen, so wie Lewis Hamilton

[You see me sitting in a Benz, just like Lewis Hamilton]

It’s kind of obvious why I chose that song, right? Other than that specific line there are some more parts about how much the rapper apparently loves his Mercedes and this song just screamed Valtteri to me.

Charles - NENENE (Fero47)

Sitze bald in roten Ferrari Geben Gas in der Hood Ruf' ich danach, "C'est la vie!"

Ignoring the entire part about Monte Carlo and all the French words, this specific part just always reminds me of Charles when I listen to the song. More badass vibes but less seriously so because I can’t take Fero’s voice that serious at all, which fits Charles.

Sebastian - Ferrari (Eno, MERO)

Roter Ferrari Ich gebe Gas in einem Ferrari Roter Ferrari Yeah, ich sitze tief in einem Ferrari

[Red Ferrari I rev up in a red Ferrari Red Ferrari Yeah, I’m sitting deep inside a Ferrari]

There’s a part about “rolling with [a] bro in a white Mercedes” and my brain said Sewis rights. Other than that, this is once again a rather obvious choice, if not all that up to date anymore. Some lines about racing on the German highway, so of course I had to go for Sebastian with this one.

Max - Fame (Apache207)

Die Rapszene ist nur ein Affenzirkus In dem kleine Kinder gern mit Waffen hantieren Ich steh', wo ich steh', weil ich bin, wer ich bin Und nicht weil hier irgendjemand Apache platziert

[The rap scene is a madhouse Where little kids like to make use of guns I stand where I stand because I am who I am And not because someone places Apache]

This simply gives me Max vibes, I don’t have much more to say as an explanation. It just feels right, with criticism towards mentally “weaker” individuals and the confidence in making a name for oneself based on own achievements and hard work. Also, Apache has become a rather popular musician in the past year(s) (especially to obnoxious 5th graders, all tea no shade), which is just...Max, I won’t elaborate.

Alex - HONDA (Ansu)

Hold on, kommt was Schnell – Konter Dreamer, besonders – Willy Wonka Auto – Honda

[Hold on, there’s something coming Fast - Counterattack Dreamer, special - Willy Wonka Car - Honda]

I mean, it’s a song about a Honda driver? I struggled quite a bit with finding a song for Alex, but when I first listened to this song, my mind threw his name at me in blinking neon letters, so this is the vibe we’re going with - a funky fast Honda driver <3 (PS: I have no clue what the Willy Wonka thing is about but....why not)

Carlos - Habibi (Casar)

Sie schreibt: "Habibi", denn sie vermisst mich Ich fahre weit davon mit mein'n Hermanos

[She texts me “Habibi” because she misses me I drive far away with my hermanos]

I can only listen to the word “hermanos” so many times without my mind associating it with Carlos, so this one was a rather obvious choice for me as well. Also, there are some parts about Spain in this song so I had to be lame and do the obvious with this one.

Lando - 500 PS (Bonez MC, RAF Camora)

Ich drück' aufs Gas, hör' die 500 PS Fahren durch die Stadt, GTA Los Angeles

[I step on the gas, hear the 500 HP Cruising through the city, GTA Los Angeles]

This one’s a solid mainstream German rap song (not that I’d call Lando a mainstream person), liked to some extent by most people, and it gets you moving, which reminds me a lot of Lando. Cars and mentions of a video game make for a hit and Lando unites just that in person as well.

Daniel - Emotions 2.0 (Ufo361, Céline)

Baby, nimm einen Schluck Dom P. für die Emotions Ich erhöhe deine Dosis So viel Schmuck Mehr Drip als ein Ocean

[Baby take a sip Dom P for the emotions I’m increasing your dosage So much jewelry More drip than an ocean]

A bittersweet love song with rich boy summer vibes and one of my favorite German songs to be released this year, in fact, it’s my most listened to song on my phone, make for a combination that just screams Daniel to me. This song hits different when driving into the sunset in a fancy car or when biking through town at 1:30 am on three cans of Red Bull (believe me, I tried), and always reminds me of better times. It’s the ideal song to sing and rap along to, so that matches Daniel just fine.

Esteban - Einsneunzig (Brown-Eyes White Boy)

Bin fast einsneunzig, stell' mich auf die Bündel, das' ein Weltrekord Lass' die Zeit Revue passier'n, selbe Jungs und selber Ort

[I’m almost 1.90, stand on a wad of cash, that’s a world record Let’s recall the past, same guys and same place]

1.90 meters as a reference to Esteban’s height, obviously, simply made sense to me, once again. The second line reminds me of his feud with Pierre, so I had to choose this song. It’s better than Ratten im Hof (rats in the yard), and this reminds me of a wannabe gangster, which just screams Esteban to me, I’m sorry <3

Pierre - DAS RENNEN (RIN)

Ich hoff', eines Tages, wir gewinn'n das Rennen Wie bei Red Dead Redemption Irgendwann der Letzte wie Shanks Spinner Rims glänzen

[I hope one day we win the race Just like in Red Dead Redemption One day the last like Shanks Spinner rims are shining]

I know no one will believe this story but I started working on this post like half a year ago and I chose that song for Pierre back then and uhm, manifestation worked, I guess? Once again, I’m a big fan of Rin’s music, so choosing this song for Pierre is a bit like selfcare. The lyrics mention changing the world and well, so far Pierre has as least changed my world 😌

Daniil - One Night Stand (Capital Bra)

Ty moja ljubimaja Takaja diwnaja, krasiwaja-ja Sprawjedliwaja, njepobjedimaja Ty moja-ja, Baby, ty moja-ja

I really hope I got that translation more or less right but other than that, I didn’t simply choose that song based on the Russian part. It’s a song we used to listen to a lot a few years ago and one of those from the days where Capital Bra was famous but less so than he is today. It reminds me of simpler times and it’s a pretty vibey song that, if you allow it to, draws you in and makes you dance. I have a soft spot for Daniil and the song reminds me a bit of him.

Lance - Bronx (Veysel)

Du musst doppelt zahlen, deshalb krieg' ich es umsonst Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, eine Villa irgendwo Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, ein paar Villen irgendwo

This is a song that you have to listen to on high volume in a fast car, one that once again has really badass vibes. It’s nice to rap along to and hard not to move to. The rich boy vibes in the chorus that I’ve included in this post are pretty inevitable and logically, I had to associate that with Lance. When I turn this song on, everyone enjoys it, and I think Lance deserves to evoke that emotion in everyone as well.

Sergio - AVENTADOR (Dardan, Eno, Noah)

I mean yeah, I could have chosen that song only because of the Adiós but that’s a bit lame even for me. Instead, the entire fast car vibe reminded me a lot of Checo. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him and this year he once again showed people ([coughs] my brother) that he’s been severely underestimated. So stepping on the gas and outpacing everyone else felt like the right vibe.

Kimi - Sorry Not Sorry (Monet192, Takt32, badmómzjay)

Was du für Karriere machst, mach' ich als Hobby Was du für Probleme hast, interessiert keinen

[What you made your career, I do as a hobby What problems you have, no one cares]

The title itself embodies Kimi and so does the entire song. The not giving a shit vibe, paired with the mention of the hobby thing as an indirect reference to the famous Kimi quote about seeing his job more as a hobby, are just 100% Kimi. I really couldn’t have found a better song for him.

Antonio - Maserati (RAF Camora)

Capo dei capi Trip noch im Alfa, doch bald Maserati

I did very much not choose the song because “capo dei capi” (the boss of bosses) is a mafia related thing, but because of the Alfa part, duh. Roadtrips in an Alfa along the Adriatic coast are cool and all but a Maserati is obviously the main goal, and that reminds me of Antonio quite a lot ~for some reason~. The entire part about making it far in life without a “serious” job is just very F1, so the vibes are there. Happy very belated birthday Toni <3

Romain - HOCH (CRO)

Alles holt dich down, lass es einfach los Und die Dinge unter dir sind gar nicht mehr so groß Ich schau' nach oben und auf einmal geht's hoch

This song is just very peaceful and calms my mind when I listen to it, which radiates the same comforting vibe as Romain. The topic of rising despite things dragging you down are a very prominent topic here and reminded me a lot of him, especially with him leaving Haas and everything around that. It just feels nice to listen to a bit of an uplifting song once in a while, and this one does it in a way that still allows you to feel calm and safe, which is something I associate with Romain a lot.

Kevin - Vorbei (Nico Rosseburg, Sierra Kidd)

Sag mir bitte, wie passe ich die Zeit? Der Augenblick war schön, doch es ist vorbei

[Please tell me, how do I pass the time? The moment was nice but now it’s over]

With Kevin leaving F1, I had to go for this song for him. It’s a bit more of a sad topic (so am I with the knowledge of him not being there next year) but without making the entire thing sound melancholic. I only really learned to appreciate Kevin this year and I’ll miss having him around, so this song kind of fits that idea for me.

George - 20 Zoll MAE (Celo&Abdi, Bonez MC)

Ich fahr' mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit, so wie ein Don Hättest gerne meine Felgen, aber wirst sie nicht bekommen

[I drive at walking pace like a Don You’d like to have my rims but won’t get them]

Making this solely about driving at walking pace would be a bit mean but there’s a part in the song soon after about looking beautiful in a Mercedes, so that’s pretty much George. The song just carries that fun vibe and the subtle (not really) flex, which makes it great to listen to if you want to get in a happier mood. It’s a song about Mercedes rims, of course I had to choose George 😔

Nicholas - Standard (KitschKrieg, SFR, Trettmann, Gzuz, Gringo, Ufo361)

Treff' mich in Miami, fliege nur noch First-Class Nur noch unterwegs, kriege Heimweh

[Meet me in Miami, only flying first class anymore Only on the road anymore, getting homesick]

More ~rich boy vibes~ and a song that has been playing what feels like 24/7 on MTV Germany the last two years. It got so bad that some people around me still reply in the trademark Gzuz voice when someone uses the word “standard”. Anyway, I associate this song with Nicholas because just like KitschKrieg did with their first “own” song, Nicholas has joined the game and left an impression on everyone, in one way or another, and I’m willing to see/hear more of that :)

Charles and Max as teammates: CHAOSSS. The battle of the golden childs. (Weirdly enough I’m here for it).

Lando and Max as teammates: Besties but I’m sure Max would almost always win from Lando (curious if the media would be as hard on him as they were on Alex and Pierre)

George and Alex as teammates: I simply stan and I think George would push Alex in a healthy way.

Charles and Alex as teammates: The only thing we would here is: “ALEXANDERRRRRR” & “CHARLIEEEEEEEE” this is what they were calling each other on Twitch (Charles and Alex are very good friends so I’m sure Charles would also push Alex in a healthy way)

Nicky and Lance as teammates: YES YES YES. Nicky would threat Lance as his child (and I’m SIMPly here for it)

this ask literally had me laughing the whole time I was reading through it and I have to say I love the way you think.

George and Alex as teammates though, how sweet would that be? George is such a supportive person and we know that Alex is the same way towards George (remember when George got to drive the Mercedes in Bahrain and Alex was so supportive of him and saying that he could win? I loved that). but I’d also love Charles and Alex as teammates, they were so funny together back in the streaming days and I miss them calling each other ‘Charlie’ and ‘Albono’. also, I never saw anyone talking about this on tumblr, but when Alex got dropped Charles liked a tweet on twitter that said “happy for Checo, but gutted for Alex. mixed feelings on this one”, which I thought was so sweet, that Charles was thinking of his friend.

the Kimi and Valtteri being teammates part though, lmaooo. I mean it’s true, they’d probably have five second mentions and the press conference would be so short it would be a record.

Nicky and Lance as teammates is something I’ve never thought about before, but now that you mentioned it, it sounds so good!! Nicky is such a laughing goofball and so supportive, and I think he could become great friends with lance. but then again, I also really love Nicky and George together, as I think they’re really funny and I also love the idea of Seb being a second dad for Lance, I just can’t wait to see them together.

you know what my dream team is, apart from any of the Twitch Quartet drivers being teammates? SEB AND LEWIS. the power that they would have, would be just... I’m not sure the world is ready for that.

4. Do you have a favourite racing film? - Ford V. Ferrari for sure!!! i love that movie so so much and the score absolutely helps me love it more.

14. Which was your first race you watched? - so, the first race that i remember was Canada 2019 so HAHAHA yes. i watched seb switch the boards and thats what I distinctly remember. HOWEVER, the first race that I got into was Austria GP 2020 cause this was the first season that I cared about F1.

24. Is there a driver that you think gets an underserved amount of hate? - Lance Stroll no further questions.

34. Is there championship battle that you least enjoyed? - UHHHHH I mean I could not tell you cause again I have not paid attention that much. Like the first championship battles I’ve seen is this year so like....not much of a competition. Once I watch more, I will let you know!!

40. Which podium made you happy the most? - TURKEY GP 2020 THIS YEAR ITS SO GOOD. It made me so so happy to see Lewis, Checo and Seb up there. They all drove so so well and seeing Seb up there to help celebrate Lewis’ title too is just...great.

41. Which podium was your least favourite? - huh. I think the Russian GP 2020 because like...okay we’d gotten used to lewis and val and max being up there in some sort of way for a while. Then we got Monza! And even Muggello! But then all of a sudden we go crashing back to earth with our regular 3. So... idk its not a bad podium by any means! But for this season it was just like “oh yeah...right. This is how its supposed to be.” Not that we can’t have different podiums! But it was just cool to see new stuff but then like “oh yeah i remember these. guys”

42. What was one of your personal highlights of F1? - well so i started the sport a while ago cause my dad has always watched it. But then, I watched. DTS and the rest is history. Like I actually paid attention then instead of just saying “oh cool Lewis won.” Anyway, my dad has always been a seb fan and so I’ve always had a big spot in my heart for him. Whenever this year started and the Ferrari was just...not great, I was kind of upset cause I was thinking “oh man. i won’t get to see the great Sebastian Vettel race like the pro he is this year.” I mean, they’re all pros but you get what I mean. So I think the best moment was again, Turkey just because I finally got to say thats it. That’s the Seb I know my dad has been raving about for the past ever. It was just really cool.

43. What was your highlight (or highlights of the season)? - Uh, well I thought this was similar to the last question but I guess not? We’ll go more driver highlights tho instead of my. highlight. Biggest highlights had to be Pierre’s win at Monza. I cried a lot that day. There’s just something about his story that makes him winning that much sweeter. I think also Daniel and Checo getting two podiums (and Checo winning) is VERY impressive and a highlight. Also!!!! Esteban got his first podium and thats huge!!! Lots more but those are the first ones I’ve got coming to me.

44. Where would you want to have a race? - Well, somewhere in the States cause I just wanna be able to get there!!! But, no, I’ve not really put a lot of thought into this. I guess I’d like to have one in the midwest just cause thats where I am but Colorado with the mountains in the background (so like around Denver) or actually in the mountains would be so so cool.

45. Where would you want to visit a race? - From next years calendar, Australia sounds cool but to be fair, I’ve always wanted to go there. As cliché as it is, I think Monaco would be cool but i’d be very over it very quickly ya know? Just cause i’d be like “oh cool boats and fanfare!” And then like okay....what else is up. But I really do like street circuits so as long as its one of those, I feel like I’d enjoy!

46. Where wouldn’t you like to race anymore? - Barcelona. Please get it off the calendar. That or Sochi. Like... I’m so over those and I’ve only been in the sport for a shortened season.

47. Which of the circuits would you like to replace? - hmmm confused... thought i just answered this but uhhhh i guess replace will be Sochi. Replace it with uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk one of the new ones we had this year. Turkey was obviously good so go with that one.

48. What would your dream podium be? - ooh....dream podium. Seb, Daniel and Pierre. Don’t ask why. It’s just a thing that I feel in my gut.

49. What would be your ideal F1 team? Who would drive for it, who would be the team principle and so on? - I’ve already answered this one and it took a bunch of space so for the sake of keeping this somewhat short here’s the link to that one!

54. Which was your favourite bromance line up? - Bromance line up or in general??? Bromance lineup though I’ll stick to George and Nicky. Nicky holding up the sign to stop taking shirtless pics just got me. (I know its this year and i could probably go another era but oh well)

64. Is there a ship that seems so weird but somehow just works for you? - hmmmm....I mean there are a bunch of weird ships but I don’t follow them!

74. Are there any F1 that you change your perspective on somethings? - looking at the questions around this, i think this means F1 blogs that change my perspective on things. All right this is a loaded question. Usually, no. There aren’t. Mainly because I follow the blogs that I have the same perspective as or our perspectives line up. So, no from that side of things. Now, thats for most of the “big issues” that you see everyone arguing in the tags over. Things like ships and other things... sure. @dansteban and @estebanoconz got me into liking Dansteban so my perspective changed on that just cause I’d never considered it. But otherwise, big topic issues I got nothing.

Well, I don’t think so. I feel like he knew he was there for collecting some points. The whole world knew that Red Bull wanted to drop Alex (even Stevie Wonder could see this). If they dropped him mid season he would still have time to find another team or do something else.

The mechanics seem very supportive of Alex he even said they still have a groupchat so that’s good! I was a big fan of Red Bull because of Max but the way they treated Daniel, Pierre and now Alex made me not root for them anymore. RBR wants to win with their own talents so bad that that they don’t even look if the drivers are ready to race for them. Till this day I don’t get why they brought Alex to RBR knowing them well he wasn’t experienced enough. They could’ve prevent all this drama if they went for someone with a lot of expierence like Hulk! I know for sure that Alex wouldn’t get much rubbish if he was still at Alpha Tauri.

First I was a bit suprised why they signed Checo for only 1 year because I’m pretty sure he can score some good points and maybe podiums with his experience, but then I thought oh wait this is RBR I’m sure they’ll check whether Yuki is driving well. I really hope Checo will have a great time at Red Bull! I hope they wont treat him like Max’ previous teammates, but one thing is for sure I will definitely not support Red Bull (not until they change their behaviour at least). Even Lewis once said he hopes they (RBR) will support Alex since they “often spit drivers out pretty quick if they don’t always to the job” (that didn’t aged well lol).

But McLaren on the other hand omg they are my new favorite team!! How did I not notice them sooner? They seem so nice!

I do agree with you, I think they wanted to drop Alex a long time before they actually did it, but I think what sucked about them dropping him so much, was that they did it so late in the season (well, after the season basically). like you said, if they had dropped him midway through the season, although I don’t know which driver they would have put in his seat then, Alex still would have had time to find a seat at another team if the wanted to.

aaah that’s so good to hear that they still have a group chat! I didn’t know about that, but it sounds like they have a good relationship then. I understand what you mean, Anon. I’m kind of feeling the same way. I always wanted to root for Red Bull, but the way they have been treating drivers just made me indifferent towards them. I just don’t like the way everything has been going down these past few years. I think their strategy of constantly mixing up drivers is wrong and it’s not working, yet they keep on trying to make it work. as for Checo; personally, I don’t see a big possibility of him staying longer than one year at Red Bull. if Yuki ends up doing well in the Alpha Tauri, I’m 99% sure they’ll want to promote him as soon as possible. I can’t explain why I think this, but I just have a feeling this will be the case. I do think Checo will be able to stand up for himself a bit more than the other drivers. Checo is a bit older and has way more experience and he has shown in the past that he can be quite aggressive when he doesn’t agree with something. I also think Checo is very aware of the fact that at this point in his career, he basically has nothing to lose. McLaren is my favorite team too, Anon! I love how supportive everyone is of each other, and the way they treat their drivers. I really, really love them🧡.
