Wrecker would sit and listen to one of Techs rants about some science stuff. He’d be lying down on his bunk, fidgeting with something probably, and Tech would seem a little antsy on his own bunk. Tech’s lips would be set in a thin line, like he was eager to say something. Wrecker, being bored and not really being able to do anything at the moment, would ask Tech what’s up. Tech would practically explode with information, talking fast and gesturing excitedly at the opportunity to share some of his fun facts about the universe. Wrecker would be taken off guard for a moment, then would smile and listen. He wouldn’t understand most of it, and probably wouldn’t really be that interested in it, but he would listen. At some point he’d start getting into it too, asking questions. Tech would seem more and more excited each time he asked something, though sometimes he’d get exasperated depending on the question. Nevertheless, he would still answer it, then move on to the next fact he felt like he needed to share. Eventually, Tech would start to calm down, having gotten what he felt like he needed to off his chest. He would clear his throat, mutter a small “thank you for listening,” then try to move on with his day. He would feel a little guilty for bothering Wrecker with all of that, he knew his brother didn’t understand half of it, and was likely bored out of his mind by it. But before he could beat himself up about it anymore, Wrecker would get up from his bunk, then give his brother one his famous secure hugs. Tech would flinch, surprised by the sudden contact, then lean into it and hug wrecker back. Wrecker would laugh in his booming voice and say something along the lines that even if he didn’t understand what all tech says, he would always listen when he needed it.

i’ve been writing a lot lately! here are some fics i’ve been playing with

Tale Of Olde, which is really big and long but involves a lot of ever afterlings in medieval and renaissance times

Phantom, 1900s, basically a retelling/twisted tale about Tash/Ari and Operetta

Writing Desk, a modern(ish) fic mainly about Raven, Apple, Sparrow, and Melody, they’re all aspiring musicians

Tomb of Isolation/Electric Love, modern, Cleo and Frankie are the mains, it’s got trauma but then also hand holding

Dance of the Birds/Melomania, 1800s, Duchess, Sparrow, Justine, Melody are the mains, ballet, orchestra, love, betrayal…

A Rose in the Garden, modern(ish), takes place in Lizzie’s garden/Wonderland Grove, Lizzie, Maddie, Kitty, Daring, Darling, Briar, Blondie are all involved. danger and monster fighting!

i’ll eventually finish costuming for them all!

still finishing a few but some are done!

Tony feels a massive wave of relief the day Gob finally agrees to maybe try therapy.

I hc that Gob gets nightmares of actual and imagined J. Walter Weatherman lessons and this is based off a little sketch I did a while ago about that.

I didn’t have time to draw something for Halloween, so here’s this old drawing I did a while ago of Meta Knight as Captain Picard/Locutus of Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation that I feel somewhat fits the Halloween theme. I call him Locutus of Borb.

#Kirby #Kirby fanart #my art #Meta Knight #I don’t think this looks very good this was one of my first Kirby drawings and I was still figuring out how to draw everyone #I’ll probably redraw this eventually but still wanted to share this since I didn’t have time to draw anything for Halloween #aside from being a Kirby fan I’m also a big fan of Star Trek I’ve seen all the shows and movies #and I see a lot of parallels between Star Trek and Kirby #literally the whole plot of Planet Robobot is just the Borg storyline in Star Trek lol #for Kirby fans who don’t follow Star Trek the Borg are a collective of cyborgs that can essentially mechanize other species #they appear as recurring antagonists and attempt to assimilate other species into their collective against their will #and once they’ve assimilated a person they can influence that person to do their bidding #in The Next Generation they assimilate Captain Picard and turn him into Locutus of Borg so they can use him to try and assimilate Earth #it reminded me a lot of what Susie did to Meta Knight in Planet Robobot so that’s where the idea for this drawing came from #I’ll have to draw more Star Trek and Kirby crossover stuff there’s a lot I can work with for crossovers lol #like Star Trek straight up has a mirror universe full of evil versions of the characters that’s literally just Amazing Mirror #and the episode of the anime where Dedede gets the Scarfies as pets is basically just the Tribble episode from Star Trek #anyways happy Halloween please enjoy Locutus of Borb

Soulmate of a Watcher

Part 2

After reading a fic with Watcher!Scar it’s got me thinking about that idea and what I’ve read of it. I already have a trait sharing AU and in it Grian is relieved that Scar only inherited his avian traits, but what if Scar inherited some Watcher stuff. This was me just spewing out ideas, so I might write more at a later date. Grian has no idea btw.

To say that Scar was having a good time in Double Life would be the exact opposite of how things are going. He’s honestly starting to lose his mind a little. He’s starting to feel the eyes always following him, he’s starting to see them. Of course that’s not the only thing he’s starting to see, and he feels like he’s going insane. Scar wants to talk to Grian about this, but in the vein of seeing things, he sees the same eyes on Grian that are watching him. It’s only brief flashes, but he knows he sees them.

Of course none of this is what has lead him to where he is now, pressing into a corner of the Red Velvet Keep. He whimpers as he stares at the eyes on his arms, all staring at him. As his vision fractures into more views, as he starts seeing his face from the perspective of those eyes. This is not something he can just hallucinate, not like everything else he’s trying to convince himself is just a hallucination. Scar doesn’t know what to do as they stare at him, blinking uncoordinatedly. He can feel that he’s on the verge of tears, hell, he can even see. After what feels like an eternity of trying to will them away, they all vanish. He can still feel the magic of them prickling under his skin even as his sight returns to normal. This is hell. Worse than everything else that’s happened in these stupid death games before. He’d rather take that horrible isolation again then have to feel what he’s feeling now. He curls up tighter into a ball, suppressing sobs.

When he first found out he was paired with Grian, he was happy, having longed for what they had again. But, now? After feeling all of this, he’s not so sure anymore. Part of him is even considering finding a golden apple to sever this damned bond.

it’s taking me a while to write and draw stuff cause of the injury i’ve been talking about and it making me feel like my brain has been replaced with a towel filled with piss so take some creature tommy au headcanons in the meantime (i would read the rest of the au for context also these are long so i apologize especially the third one)

tw: vore for the third headcanon, mentions of hard vore (none happen), and general mostly non-descriptive violence

-Tubbo still constantly checks in with how Tommy’s doing through Wilbur, even though he doesn’t want anything to do with him in person. Wilbur occasionally lets Tommy know that Tubbo is concerned about his well-being, and Tommy would be lying if he said that it didn’t make him feel a bit bad, but he’s more so just confused as to why Tubbo cares. After all, he’s the one who almost killed and permanently maimed the borrower, what does he gain from checking in on Tommy? Why doesn’t he want him dead? But turns out, Tubbo is aware of how badly the lab fucked Tommy up after Wil told him, and is cheering his human friend on from the sidelines in his mission to help Tommy change for the better. And once Tommy does change and see borrowers as people, Tubbo will be the first one to congratulate him and teach him about proper borrower culture. As for now, though, even if Tubbo doesn’t want to be near him, he’s glad that Tommy has someone who cares about him and who he feels comfortable with.

-Wilbur invited his tiny friend, Jack, over to his house and had completely forgotten about Tommy until he and Jack got there. Tommy introduces himself and Jack is immediately off-put when Tommy starts making a lot of comments about how good he smells and how he wonders if he tastes as good, and Wilbur is fucking terrified. This is far enough along that Tommy and Wilbur get along really well, and Tommy genuinely cares about Wilbur and doesn’t want to disappoint him (though he’d be hard pressed to admit it). So he won’t kill Jack for Wil’s sake, even though he really wants to, but that doesn’t stop him from making not-so-subtle remarks about how he wants to eat Jack. So Wil is high strung all night and Jack is just really really confused cause he assumes Tommy is a normal borrower.

-All of the creature lab borrowers were made stomach acid resistant, and whenever the creatures would disobey or fail at something, the scientists would nom them as punishment. Tommy nonchalantly mentions once that he can’t be harmed by stomach acids, so later when one of Wilbur’s friends comes over with a borrower, Wilbur panics, knowing Tommy hadn’t eaten yet that way. So, he noms Tommy, and this is the first time Tommy shows actual fear towards Wil. He’s generally very deadpan and sarcastic, but he’s getting bad traumatic flashbacks from the lab, so he panics and shifts, trying to claw his way out of Wil. Wil can’t get him out now cause he’s too big but Tommy can’t reason enough through his panic to realize that Wilbur is practically begging him to shrink back down so he can let him out. Tommy eventually passes out from exhaustion and fear and shrinks and Wil spits him out immediately. Tommy wakes up about an hour later, and Wilbur isn’t home. And he doesn’t get home that day. For the first time in his life, Tommy is left fully alone all night, and he’s only getting more and more worried. As much as he pretends to be entirely soulless, he does genuinely care about Wil, and he’s devastated to think that Wilbur abandoned him, even though he knows that’s an irrational thought. Wil eventually does get home at about noon the next day, and Tommy is all over him with questions, half worried and half angry that Wil would let him think he was abandoned. But that anger dissipates pretty quickly when he learns that in his panic, he caused some major internal bleeding for Wil, and he had to go to the hospital to make sure none of his internal organs were damaged by Tommy’s claws. He was mostly fine, but the doctors kept him overnight anyway to make sure he wouldn’t get worse. Wil still wasn’t fully better, and was still mostly bedridden, but had argued against anymore time in the hospital cause he was genuinely worried about Tommy after the kind of ptsd flashback he had. Tommy actually feels really really bad about this, and decides that maybe he owes it to Wilbur to be a bit nicer after doing that to him. Tommy still doesn’t fully let his guard down, and he isn’t automatically more genuine, but he starts to open up about what he went through at the lab, and lets Wilbur know how much it means to him that he’s been there for him. Wilbur thinks that suffering a little internal bleeding was maybe worth it. •adding on to this, Tommy sleeps in his creature form curled up like a cat on Wil’s chest from this point on.

-Wilbur mostly works from home, but whenever he has to leave, Tommy stays home. Tommy was never left alone at the lab and doesn’t know what to do with himself, so he just kinda runs around. Wil comes home early once to see Tommy doing parkour like six feet above the ground (well over a high enough height to kill him) so Wilbur decides that it’s time to give Tommy a hobby. He buys him a phone so at the very least he can entertain himself with youtube, but teaches him about gardening and music. Tommy especially loves listening to Wilbur play guitar. Also Wilbur gives Tommy coca cola for the first time after he sees that Tommy may have a blood sugar problem that the lab just ignored and he gets addicted fast, partially cause he likes it a lot and partially cause oh this is what if feels like to go long periods of time without feeling like you’re gonna pass out.

-Tommy hoards blankets and makes himself little beds with them when he needs a nap. Wilbur has a lot of blackmail photos. Ranboo gets all of these photos and has a separate photo album on his phone for them titled “Wil’s weird cat.” In fact, Ranboo made a collage of all the weirdest and most embarrassing (aka adorable but embarrassing to Tommy) ones, printed and framed it, and gave it to Will. It’s been hanging in his living room for over a month and Tommy has yet to notice it.

On that note, what were your thoughts on Coraline? Specially on that scene where the beldam counts down from 3 as she transforms into her true form.

Because to me, it made me realize that I love horror movies and their concepts, and what I didn't like of other specific transformation scenes was that they were... too real to me? Like they made me think about "if people could really be turned into animals how horrible would it be to leave every single thing you know about life behind and never get to do the human things you like and nobody knowing that something unnatural happened to you, they'd just see a weird dog or cow or chicken" and that was too terrifying of a thought to me

that specific scene didn’t really bother me the same way! i thought it was scary, sure, but that’s just because the beldam looks scary. a monster turning into a monster because they’ve always been one didn’t make me queasy the way other stuff did. she’s choosing to change shapes, no one else is making her, and it’s one she seems to like!

like you said, a part of it for me was being so upset at the idea of losing your original life and not being able to go back, being separated from people or just not being recognized at all. i really didn’t like the idea that it might be painful, or embarrassing, or that you could have absolutely no control over what was happening. the loss of control was HUGE for me.

in a weird way that’s probably what drew little kid me to werewolves though. because they do have to go through all of that, but in the end they can change back. and they don’t have to be alone because of it, you know, wolves are such social animals, it doesn’t have to be completely isolating. and also wolves are just fucking cool!!! so it was a way to explore all of that discomfort without it being so horribly overwhelming. it was cathartic!

and now i’m just Like This. so. haha. oops?

#if i can psychoanalyze for a minute—#i think part of it might have had to do with being a little trans kid. because as soon as i could conceptualize gender #i kind of knew that mine wasn’t right #the way people saw me and the way i looked wasn’t quite right #and as soon as i found out my body was going to *change?* that i was going to have to go through something uncomfortable and embarrassing #just to end up looking even more like i *didn’t want to look*#i completely freaked out #not that puberty is the same as getting turned into a fucking rat or whatever #but when you’re six it kind of seems like it might as well be #which is probably why i kept looking for media that had shapeshifters in it!#i was trying to figure out why i felt that way and how to process it #and eventually instead of just being scared i wound up really obsessed with the idea #because if you could change shape at will? that was comforting. but even if you couldn’t that was cathartic #idk i’m just fucking rambling now haha #and probably totally overthinking it #i don’t think that’s the ONLY reason i was scared there were definitely others #like. it *is* also just scary because it’s body horror and that is always scary #and i became so fixated because i was *also* just exploring what fear felt like and where my limits were #but i think that had to be at least a little part of it #sorry okay really i’ll stop now
