sierra is sooooo complicated to me like. i could go on about her for so long & also i wish the writers did certain things with her character (which i will get into later in this rant) so ya here we go

firstly her childhood is . very clearly messed up?? it’s established that her mother is Ultra Obsessed with chris and i think sierra mentions being a 3rd generation chris mclean scholar at one point which implies that obsession just runs in the family atp😭 before even going on the show she’s grown up in an environment where this level of obsession is Normal so she doesn’t see anything wrong with turning out the same way

since her mother is like . obsessed with chris & stuff that’s probably what would bring sierra to watching total drama in the first place and i personally feel like she’d fixate on it because it was a group of teenagers her age, people she would like to be friends with if that makes sense? i can imagine she’d be a pretty odd child without many friends so that’d maybe be a reason for her to latch onto total drama, maybe why she latched onto cody too because like. she thinks he’s cute and they have things in common (like theyre both pretty geeky) so she gets pretty parasocial about it because, as mentioned before, her mum being obsessed with chris is just Normal to sierra so she thinks it’s normal for her to be obsessed with cody (spoiler alert girl: it’s really not)

while she’s on the show i feel like she doesn’t change / gets worse because chris sees her exhibiting Mental Illness and just… actively encourages her behaviour? and the other contestants do nothing to stop it, like how most of the time (e.g. paris) team amazon get mad at cody for sierra’s behaviour instead of helping him out for some reason??? no one tells sierra her behaviour is wrong so she just. Continues to get worse until shes out of the competition😭

this is where im gna interrupt with a canon divergence because like . personally i think in the episode where votes were revealed and cody was revealed to have voted sierra Every Single Time, sierra shouldve gotten over him!!!! it was the harsh truth she needed to hear, the dose of reality that cody is NOT interested in her and she needs to move on. she couldve had good character development, building her relationships with other characters and showing off her skills. maybe she’d still be eliminated in drumheller because she made cody that birthday cake as an apology and then kaboom or whatever idk just some way to keep her elimination the same

going down this train could’ve made her character in all stars Actually Interesting ! we couldve seen a side of sierra that kept some of her old eccentric vibes but had her head in the game this time instead of being focused on a boy, especially since cody isnt even in that season

and of course lastly i just wanna say i’m not excusing her weird actions or her creepiness at all, she has some Extreme Flaws and all the stuff she did was absolutely not okay, i just like rotting and seeing maybe why she acted the way she did and i wanted to drop my own two cents on interesting avenues her character couldve went down :3 i know everyone in td is some form of stereotype and sierra was an obsessive uberfan but she couldve still been that after getting over cody, in fact im disappointed that she knew SO much about the cast yet didnt use any of their weaknesses to her own advantage, she couldve dominated the competition😭

so uhhh yeah thats my thoughts on sierra, i probably over-read her to filth but shes very complex to me and i wish certain aspects of her character were done differently, she had a lot of potential especially in all stars but um Everyone had their potential destroyed in all stars so i’ll overlook that

you gripped the hair brush tighter, still brushing through your tangled knots. your eyes brows were drawn together while you felt your head ache. you were brushing your hair so carelessly you hadn’t realized that you were tugging at your hair.

your boyfriend matt had also noticed, glancing up at his phone. you heard him call out your name a few times, but ignored, dropping the brush frustrated and angry.

"hey…" you heard the bed creaking from behind you, then feel matt’s big arms wrap around your upper shoulders. he planted a quick kiss on your forehead, reassuring you, as you stared ahead, eyes growing watery.

you lift your head slightly, making eye contact with your boyfriend. he’s smiling slightly before he places a soft kiss on your forehead. "hungry?" he asks.

you don’t really feel hungry. you just want to lay in his bed and cuddle. driving around for hours just looking for food doesn’t seem right in your head.

"i can get nick to door dash ice cream? no, how about frozen yogurt?"

you just turned the gaming chair, leaning up to give your matt a quick kiss. "frozen yogurt." you smile, standing in front of him.

Okay so I wanna rant about Dainkaeya so I thought I’d make another post.

Most of this is headcanon but like—it makes sense!

So canonically we know that Kaeya was abandoned by his birth father which regardless of the reason, abandoning your child without explaining why is not cool. Knowing this, I don’t think assuming that he was abused as a child is that far-fetched. He NEVER talks about his past, and doesn’t seem to know what Alberich means which is odd since his father probably told him how important he was. I feel like he has jumbled/supressed childhood memories due to childhood trauma. We see Dain is very pale and a “pure blood Khaenri’an”. That leads me to believe Kharnri’ans have pale skin. Given Khaenri’ah being located beneath Sumeru and the geographic closeness, it’s not hard to wonder if Kaeya’s mother was Sumerian.

Okay, so stay with me. What if, Kaeya’s father had an illegitimate child with a Sumerian woman? What if Kaeya carried some sort of trait that Khaenri’ah needed in an heir? What if Kaeya’s father was ashamed of his infidelity and lied to Kaeya about his mother dying when she is alive somewhere in Sumeru? What If he abandoned Kaeya because Kaeya didn’t look like a true Khaenri’an? Yes, I’m implying the Alberiches are white supremacists, Sue me.

I know it’s never talked about, but like realistically, there has to be some racism in Teyvat. Most of the darker skinned characters are either from Sumeru or Southern Liyue. (You’d think the Inazuma cast would be darker considering they get a lot of sun on an island, but whatever). I would feel like there’s great economic inequality in Sumeru since you see how rich the city and akademia is, but then like there’s probably a lot of poor homeless people surviving in the desert. Like Sumeru is way richer than Mondstandt, but the wealth is not distributed well at all. Thus Sumeru has a reputation for thieves and bandits and this translates to racism. Idk, I’m just spitballing here. But like it makes sense. (The reason kaeya doesn’t face this in mondstandt is because everyone knows him and he’s a knight). Growing up he’d probably get teased for it because I’ve never seen a Mondstandter that wasn’t white as snow. The description even says he has an exotic experience! I like to think Diluc defended him from getting bullied as a kid!

Anyway this has nothing to do with Dain but I went on a whole ass rant, I’m sorry. Anyway, Kaeya doesn’t remember much about his childhood because of trauma, and we know Dain’s memories are scuffed and he has a ton of trauma. I think this could be a great element for a ship and Dain like reluctantly helping Kaeya since they have mutual interest in destroying the abyss order, but growing fond of him. I think maybe Kaeya can’t get what Dain told him out of his head and wants to go confront his father or find out more about his past and Dain knowing most about Khaenri’ah can help with that. Also Dain strikes me as very reserved and stoic whereas kaeya is outgoing and flirty but they both act the way they do to hide their trauma!

Anyway, I’m writing a fanfic about this and this whole thing is so interesting to me!

Also I’m a hardcore believer in HalfDain, like come on, they were totally in love.

Some of those who dislike him are ignoring the victim’s wishes to not be involved (bc the information came from a third party) and pestering her to talk about it anyway as if somehow hearing from her will magically make it all make sense, even if it means her reopening her trauma and causing her harm, and some of those who still support him are saying there’s no way this is a valid allegation and the alleged victim should be ashamed, and he is right to get pissed since it’s OH SO CLEARLY false and EVERYONE gets these allegations nowadays (sarcasm). We have no way of knowing 100% if it’s true, the alleged victim has claimed that she does not want to be involved as far as I’m aware, the information came from a third party who apparently has a history of digging up dirt about the Brazilian ccs—there are SO many factors here that we can’t confirm or deny anything.

half the fandom is reacting the same way Dream’s fanbase did when his allegations (whether they ended up being true or not; idk i don’t care enough about him to watch his fucking video essay) came out. People are saying that the person bringing up the allegations is clearly just a hater and that’s the only reason they have for this. And maybe that’s true!! Idk!!! I’ve heard through the grapevine that the alleged victim does not want to be involved!!! It’s like when Cellbit’s past abusive relationship was being talked about a few months ago; the victim wanted no part in calling him out because the situation was done and over with and they didn’t want to think about it, let alone fight for some kind of justice they didn’t even want. It’s a complicated situation, but people need to stop putting this off as just hate from antis. These are allegations, and they should be taken seriously, while also leaving the victim alone and not pestering her for details. If she comes out and says she doesn’t want justice for this, let her have her peace. If Forever shows that he has changed—which it seems like he has, at least from my perspective—let him sort this out. If all of it is true and as bad as it seems?? Sure, drag him to hell and back. But take in as much information as you can before you decide what you want to do.

but anyway RANT ASIDE, no matter what, do not be afraid to take a step back and do something else. Your mental health is more important than the dubiously moral actions of some content creator.

the only other thing is I’m just confused and a little irritated about the section with the farmers and the Inquisitor. like, when in the timeline exactly did that whole encounter take place? and if they wanted to show a storyline like that, why didn’t they just animate some key moments from the Ahsoka novel? I feel like it sort of gives it more weight in a way to have Ahsoka’s big return to the good fight and the Rebellion set two years after the end of the war, and given how similar the setups are, I have to say I would have much rather had at least some scenes from the book in animation than a whole new separate thing that kind of replaces it.

• Persephone is also autistic, though she is much better at masking it than Orpheus. She also has ADHD.

• I’m chill with many different interpretations of Sweeney, but I think it’s quite interesting to hc him as trans or nonbinary. (I mean, what cis person names themself Sweeney?/j) He was in the closet when he first started dating Lucy. He was terrified of coming out to her, but eventually did, and she was quite accepting. She was relieved that maybe this meant they didn’t have to keep their relationship secret, and this was also how she realized she was bi. He also came out to Mrs. Lovett at some point before being sent away, and she was also very accepting, and has proven more than once that she’s really good at using people’s chosen names, as it was really easy for her to start calling him Mr. Todd when he returned from Australia. (Also, Mr. T could be a very punny nickname in this case.)

• Sweeney is also autistic. He’s gotten decent at masking in public, but whenever he’s at home, he makes no effort to hide his autistic traits. He stims quite frequently, usually by aggressively shaking his hands, punching his arm, fidgeting, or pacing. (Is pacing considered a stim? I feel like I do that a lot as a stim, but idk.) He also has an incredibly strong sense of justice. This is most notable when it comes to himself and how he’s been wronged, but he also feels that way on a societal level too. He rants a lot about people who get mistreated and people who abuse their power. (Mrs. Lovett can attest to this, as she’s usually the one he rants to.) Prior to being sent away, he felt like Lucy was the only person he could truly be himself around. Post-incarceration, Mrs. Lovett ends up being the one to fill that role. At first he’s quite nervous, but he ends up opening up more, and realizes that she’s a safe person to be himself around. In fact, she’s the easiest person for him to be himself around, because she’s also neurodivergent.

• Speaking of which, I headcanon Mrs. Lovett as being autistic and having ADHD. She’s always got several different trains of thought, is all over the place, and though she’s chatty, she’s a bit awkward, and feels that Sweeney is the only one who truly understands her. She’s also had many special interests and hyperfixations throughout her life, and is known to infodump a lot. She stims by flapping her arms and doing little dances. She also has some vocal stims, like humming or singing random notes to herself.

• Mrs. Lovett is ace. For a long time, she never told anyone because she was terrified of being judged for it. She was also scared that no one would ever love her because of it, and though there was no way Benjamin could’ve known, she sometimes felt like maybe her asexuality was part of why he chose Lucy over her. In attempts to impress him years down the line, she’d sometimes act in ways that felt strange and uncomfortable to her. In order to make herself feel better about it, she’d tell herself that it was like a comedy act, and that it was more about being funny. (She’s also the type to be really good at making sex jokes because sex is a joke to her, although she doesn’t joke like that often. Her preferred sense of humor is puns.) After a while, feeling like she can no longer hide it, she finally comes out to Sweeney, and nearly breaks down crying while doing so, fearing that she’d ruined her chance at him ever loving her. To her surprise, he accepts her, and he comforts her until she calms down, letting her know that she never has to make herself uncomfortable for his sake.

• Toby is the kind of person whom people can’t tell if he’s gay or aroace. He can’t tell which one it is either.

• Tbh, every version of Wednesday Addams feels autistic coded to me, so I’m including musical Wednesday as well.

• Morticia Addams has bi wife energy. Gomez is her number one ally.

• Lydia Deetz is hella sapphic. The Maitlands are the first people she comes out to, and they’re extremely accepting. After a while of being nervous, she finally comes out to her father and Delia, and they also accept her. Delia isn’t super educated on everything, though she’s well-meaning, and she even buys a sapphic flag colored crystal for Lydia. Beetlejuice takes her to her first pride event. It’s chaotic for everybody there due to Beej’s presence, but it’s definitely a fun time for Lydia.

• I also headcanon Lydia as autistic. Her special interests are ghosts, horror, and photography, and she loves infodumping about them.

• Beetlejuice is pansexual. I suppose that one’s not really a headcanon and is actually a thing in the musical, but I still wanted to list it.

• Martha from The Secret Garden is ace and autistic. I mostly say this because I’ve played her once, lol. Idk, I just like the idea.

• Veronica Sawyer is the biggest disaster bi.

• Jo March is ace and on the aro spectrum. She doesn’t really care all that much about sex or romance, though she has occasionally felt romantic attraction. She doesn’t really care about gender when it comes to the people she likes, but she does also identify as sapphic because she really likes girls. (I mostly like the idea of her being sapphic because people suspect that Louisa May Alcott was, and she based Jo off of herself.)

• Christine Daaé doesn’t really use any labels, but she did once find herself crushing on both Raoul and Meg.

• Meg Giry is sapphic, which she realized after having a crush on Christine.

• Because of that one line in Driving Through the Moonlight, I have decided that Prince Topher is ace now.

Yes! And if I remember correctly they are found in the Wailing Way and the Shrine of the Apostates (also known as Heretic’s Grave) both in castle B, which is near where the Smiling Statue (which looks a lot like Carmilla) can be found. :3

Also, the Energy Circle being found here, over a particular seemingly important marble coffin no less, is interesting considering it’s the whip upgrade that lets Juste spin the whip like Simon can in CV4 (albeit in way more neat of a circle lol).

Also on the topic of items, there’s a lot of interesting furniture descriptions too.

The Hero Statue and the Tall Clock seem pretty obvious. Simon would’ve been the most recent hero of the time and really the first of his family to get very much respect for it. The clock just directly mentions Juste’s ‘granddad’ so like yeah.

The Smiling Statue just straight up looks like Carmilla’s mask and is probably a Jojo reference since Carmilla is one lmao anyway but I’m not sure why she’s called a Goddess here, pretty interesting. These other two just had some weird descriptions of a presence in general.

The only thing I can’t figure out is who the Sage Statue is even supposed to be. The other two seem to have a pattern, so I’d expect like a Skull Statue or something to be Death/Dracula (as he was a skeleton ghost in Simon’s Quest) or something, but no it’s just some old guy. Maybe he’s looking so smug because he knows he’s out of place and messing with us lol. And the names of the statues also have some kind of relation to who they are (Carmilla smiles, Simon is regarded as a legendary hero) but the word ‘Sage’ just kinda doesn’t relate to any character I can think of other than like idk one of the random old guy towns people, but why would he get a statue? It’s odd, hopefully I’ll figure it out eventually tho.

Harmony of Dissonance has a lot of really interesting details in it, especially Simon’s Quest references, that make sense considering it takes place right after it and revolves around the plot of Maxim trying to recreate the glory of that last Dracula battle from it while not knowing the context behind why Simon did that, so they’re pretty intertwined in that way, it’s really cool :D!!!

I should probably make more general long analysis posts about these kinds of things sometime if I can actually gather everything into one place, cause this kind of random detail gathering stuff is really fun hehe >:3c. Hi! Thank you so much for sharing all of these with me, it's so fun to see other people's headcanons about Loki and their excitement about his character. I love discussing this blorbo and cracking him open like an onion to peal away layers of trauma and reveal the nerd beneath.

Lol, the amount of times I've thought about doing an MCU rewrite post a1 to fix everything is insane. If I did do this, I'd actually probably start at civil war, because personally, I feel like everything was (generally) actually okay and enjoyable until infinity war. Civil war is just a good place to kick around the fix-its because everything is such a mess.

As far as your request goes, it might surprise you, but you're actually NOT the first person to approach me about a genderfluid, fem-presenting Loki. More like the....4th? or maybe 5th? Idk. I've definitely been approached by multiple people over the years about this. Firstly, thank you for trusting me with your idea and your headcanons, I'm humbled and honored that you would approach me about this because you believed I would be able to write the story in a way that you would find meaningful and enjoyable <3

Second - I really just don't know. My first inclination is to say no, not because I'm not interested or don't care, but mostly because I'm so busy right now I really don't know when I'll be able to get to the story. Plus, I'm really not sure how to go about this. I'd need to figure out what direction I wanted to take the story, because Loki being genderfluid wouldn't change that much except their outward appearance. Loki + genderfluid + Natasha friendship is an amazing concept, but it's not a...plot, if that makes sense? "Fixing" a1 could be 50,000,000 separate things, and if it goes out as a fix-it for mcu, that would be an enormous project. Easily 200k-400k+, which would take me like...uh 1-3 years to write.

Loki being genderfluid IS something I've thought about just adding to my fics in general now (i'm really not sure, because I love cis male Loki, and I know it's canon that he's genderfluid, but I kind of disregard most things from the series anyway?) but Idk?

+ and this is just a personal one for me, but I don't know how to include Loki being genderfluid as a major part of the plot/story right now. Like, for example, I've been in the process of dumping all of my religious lgbtq+ trauma on peter parker in a (massive) one-shot that revolves around Peter learning to accept himself as being gay, but the point of the story is that Peter doesn't accept himself at first and the conclusion is when he does. (I don't know if I'm ever going to share or finish that fic by the way, so don't look for it) I don't know how to take the concept of this story, turn it into a fix-it for Avengers 1 with Natasha, and have a meaningful story about being genderfluid at the same time?

Like to me there's two different ways to go about lgbtq+ stories: a story about being gay that is intended to talk about lgbtq+ experiences and focus heavily on that, vs a story where the character is lgbtq+ and it's just part of their character and not something we spend a lot of time talking about because we don't need to. The story isn't about them being lgbtq+ specifically, it's about the character. Recently, a lot more media has started doing the latter, which is really, really nice because I don't feel like being lgbtq+ has to be justified every 20 lines.

The story I'm writing about Peter Parker is the former. It's about being gay. The entire story revolves around it. What I can tell from what you're saying is that you want something where Loki just IS genderfluid, but it's not something we spend a whole lot of time discussing because the story isn't ABOUT being genderfluid, it's about fixing mcu with genderfluid Loki as the main character, if I'm understanding this correctly? Which is fine and I absolutely support it because there is nothing wrong with writing genderfluid Loki and I wholeheartedly support those authors.

So i guess to shorten this - because this isn't just like a ~5-15k one-shot (which are about the only length of requests I can successfully complete right now), as respectfully as I can, I'm going to have to lovingly turn you down. I'm not saying no, I'll never write about genderfluid Loki, because I'm like 90% sure I will eventually, but I just don't know about a fix-it for MCU from the first Avengers. One suggestion I have is maybe, if you really really need to see this come to fruition, is to just write a bunch of one-shots that are interconnected based on each of your headcanons and then publish it as an interconnected series, not so much a full length novel like I would write. I can easily see this being a really enjoyable series. Best of luck

I’m gonna go on a rant about Lo’ak and Tsireya here that I know a lot of people probably won’t agree with

I feel like the ship really is just for the plot, like I know yeah it is there for the plot but to me it doesn’t feel like anything more. What also doesn’t make sense to me is how Lo’ak tells Payakan how he feels all alone when he basically has a gf?? Like wtf are you talking about. Also all we really see of them together is Tsireya teaching him and being nice to him, maybe like one side hug, that’s it, it’s so bland they give us nothing. Maybe if they gave us more I’d grow to like it more but idk. Both of them separately are amazing characters but it just doesn’t click in my brain for me ig. Tsireya and Neteyam makes more sense to me because they have a lot more in common and probably understand each other a lot more.

EDIT: also from what I can remember and from what I’ve seen, Tsireya is religious like most of the other Na’vi, where as Lo’ak isn’t, he’s very rebellious and doesn’t pray to Eywa once. There’s nothing wrong with either side but wouldn’t they clash? Eywa is very special to the Na’vi and wouldn’t they get annoyed at each others differing beliefs?

SORRY ANOTHER EDIT: I guess over all to me it only seems like the reason they’re together is because they find each other attractive and Tsireya is nice to Lo’ak. I also heavily dislike how we are given little on who Tsireya is as a person other than she’s the clan leaders daughter and she’s with Lo’ak. I really wish we got to see more of who she actually was

Again most people probably won’t agree with what I’m saying and that’s ok it’s just my personal opinion on it.

I’ve been thinking about parasomnia a lot lately, so I think I’ll rant about that!

Plot-focused ideas:

The magic system I’m using is undefined. I have a loose idea of how the curse they’re all under works but I’m still like ??? Here’s a basic idea, but I need to make it make sense:

HIM is a demon, duh. The mirror is his window into the world. The mirror has taken many forms and currently is a vanity brought to Townsville by a bratty girl no longer with us (rip Princess I love you but your death is plot important). The mirror finds its way to this shed, no one knows why, but I know it’s because the vanity has had multiple owners since and was moved to the preschool shed for storage as a favor in return for a favor, and so forth and so forth.

Putting your blood on the surface brings you in contact with HIM, who allows you to really look into the depth of your soul and find the answer you’re seeking. There’s a price, though. That price is 1) you never know exactly what you’re seeking 2) your mirror-self is desperately trying to break out of the mirror. If they get you, they take your body and HIM gets your soul, which he consumes for power. So, basically, you’re forced to fight your inner mirror self as you attempt to piece together some sort of enlightenment (because, you know, HIM likes a good puzzle and nothing’s scarier then self reflection.)

But this piece of information sort of gets lost over time. Like, instead of working on yourself, HIM’s basically offering to fix your inner demons for you, but you have to figure out what needs to be fixed, but no one ever survives, so that little piece of information—that you need to be fixing yourself—is never shared between owners, which is all fine and dandy with HIM. He becomes a phantom akin to Bloody Mary. Ppl do the ritual for fun and then get stuck in this terrifying self-led therapy session

But does that even make sense?? I’ll flesh it obviously, but is it lame?? Also, I was thinking that you’re only stuck in the mirror world from 12-4, which encompasses the general witching hours, but idk why. I think maybe because the realms between the shadow world and the real realm are weakest then. But idk maybe that’s too short of a time period. I think four hours every night would suck tho so idk idk. I want their time in the shadow/mirror realm to affect their sleep.

Other fun magic things — light portals for quick travel that Bubbles is only able to adequately transverse. She’s got the “sight”

Brick understands what the mirror people are saying. To everyone else, it’s just pig Latin.

Healing is quicker in the mirror/shadow world because you’re not really physically there unless something is damaged beyond repair. So if you get cut in the beginning of your time, by the time you wake up, what may be left on you is only a faint bruise—like what happens sometimes with active sleepers.

Because you’re not physically there, stuff isn’t really physically there either, so if you move a car in the shadow realm, the physical car isn’t moved. But if you total the car, the car in the real world is destroyed. So locals think there’s some unexplainable crime/ghost problem.

Character focused:

Despite being a grade above Brick and Boomer, Blossom is the youngest of the group. She skipped a grade.

Boomer has a crush on Bubbles, but doesn’t end up with her. She’s not interested in him because she’s almost seventeen and is def not interested in dating a freshman. Sorry blue-lovers, but I promise it’s still a fulfilling relationship and there may be someone else for lil Boomer 😉

Mitch is actually plot important. He’s a prick but he ends up redeemed.

The Professor is VERY VERY plot important but isn’t anyone’s father. Mojo is equally as important — and a good foster parent (🤫)

Bubbles is raised by her grandparents, Mayor and Ms. Mayor. Her parents died in a car crash. Blossom is a test tube baby. Her mother is Bellum, who ends up marrying Sedusa, or here, strictly Ima Goodlady, who Blossom considers her annoying, gold-digging step-monster. Buttercup is raised by her mom, Ms. Keane. She has a father, but he’s not in the picture. He never remarried, but has a long term partner, who’s about 15 years older than Buttercup, and recently had a son named Ken. Buttercup’s never had the pleasure of meeting her brother and she doesn’t like talking about it.

Brick was abandoned as a baby. Butch’s parents could no longer take care of him (in prison/addiction issues), so he was taken in by the state. He’s in contact with them, but it hurts him a lot. Boomer was also taken in by the state, but his mother wasn’t a good woman, so they are no longer in contact. He doesn’t talk about it at all. And if you pry, you now have beef with brick and butch

Buttercup has a crush on Butch pretty much instantly. Butch doesn’t acknowledge her romantically until later on in the story, so yes, slow-burn. He’s too busy adjusting to the craziness.

Both trios are co-dependent. You don’t get Bubbles if Blossom and Buttercup can’t come.

Whoo, what a roller coaster of a chapter.

So much for Sumire and Hakubo being wholesome and enigmatic. NGL, with No. 6 being heartfelt about his regrets about Sumire & her emotions I was expecting some fluff. But, I mean, it kinda makes sense?

Like he still couldnt stop thinking about her and feeling strongly about her. When Sumire told him she had to be destroyed, maybe Hakubo already planned this? Giver her one happy memory and to destroy her himself? not let anyone kill her again as he just watched. Sumire telling he's already in his deepest he'll probably snapped him. Hakubo wished he could have fallen to hell for her. But he is in hell, and so he hurts her himself.

Idk, a lot of speculation here, but I guess we'll find out

Next order of business: boundary is crumbling. I'm sensing 2 possibilities:

1.) due to the fact that the supernatural and living world are still sealed apart, the boundaries (the in between) are all ceasing to exist.

2.) Since Sumire is the Yorishiro, maybe the boundary crumbling is due to what's happening with her & Hakubo. Like something negatively impacting her also impacts the boundary?

Cue the cut back to our girl Nene who is back on a mission. Girl has so much going on, I think it's pure that she's worrying over Aoi and Sumire even when her own life is in jeopardy.

Then who of all people does Nene meet?

The enigma, Sakura.

Sakura shows up and tells Nene this isn't her place to die which is good for Nene. But the way she says it makes me worry about Nene's future.

Also, while Sakura mentioning she's an Esper was a bit of a joke. There's a lot of merit to it.

Her 100 gear old wish in Ch. 93. Hakubo alluding to her as his boss in Ch.94. This girl knows a lot, I've always gotten the vibe she doesn't quite belong and knows more than she lets on. At this point I'd say she's definitely supernatural, and possibly one of the oldest in the school. The founder of the seven school wonders possibly. That's all speculation though, only the next chapter can say.

Adding onto the Esper-ness Sakura holds answers we've all been dying to know.

And even though she says Tsukasa can't see them now I can't help but think she's on her own agenda, planning something.

Though, I'm also getting the sense she's involved in Tsukasa and Amane becoming supernaturals.

There's so many questions: Why is Yashiro destined to die? How did Tsukasa become what he is? What caused Amane to become Hanako? Who is Sakura? What led to the creation of the 7 school wonders?

At this point, I'll happily take any answers I can get.

Can't wait for Aidairo to work their wonders and for and for any answers we may be getting next month.

I’m a bit embarrassed to go on a rant about dsmp related things but I am oh so passionate about assigning dsmp characters as tma entities.

First of, I feel like I should clarify that there’s a difference between being an avatar of a fear, being aligned with it, and being marked by it. Like for instance Mike Crew was marked by the spiral but is a Vast avatar. Literally Mr. Sims himself is marked by ALL of the fears but you would only consider him an avatar of the eye. In addition, idk if you would consider Martin as a lonely avatar but he’s absolutely aligned with it. That being said here are dsmp characters and what fear entities go with them.

Dream: The Web avatar. I don’t feel like I need to explain that one.

Dream XD: The eye avatar. I don’t know much about the guy but isn’t he literally like god, like in the all seeing eye type way?

Wilbur: Desolation avatar. You can fight me on this and I’ll die on this hill. Wilbur’s whole shtick was that during early lmanburg days he was right at home and he belonged there. But as time went on lmanburg shifted and changed into something he didn’t recognize. He lost his lmanburg. So he didn’t care if everyone else lost their lmanburg too bc to him it was already gone. Also that and the whole explosion shit bc haha desolation avatars and their funny use of fire.

Tommy: Aligned with the Lonely, marked by the web. Mf did not spend months in exile and to DIE by dream just to say he wouldn’t be marked by the web. In addition, there’s a common theme of him being left alone by his friends like again in exile and more recently by Wilbur after he fucking left for Utah. I don’t think he’d be a lonely avatar bc it’s not like he thrives of others loneliness but more so he’s just affected by it.

Tubbo: Extinction avatar. I once again don’t think I need to explain myself just look at that man’s nuclear weapons.

Techno: The Hunt avatar. I am oh so passionate about this one bc he would absolutely NOT be the slaughter. I mean yeah idk you can argue he is but I think the hunt better fits. He doesn’t kill “just because”, he kills for reason. He only goes after people who have wronged him and has no reason to kill anyone that doesn’t deserve it.

Phil: The Vast avatar? Or maybe aligned? Little bird man haha. You can argue the end too but I feel like that’s better reserved for Kristin. Speaking of-

Kristin: The End avatar. I don’t know much about her but literally everything I’ve seen depicts her as kinda like the angel of death or a grim reaper.

Ranboo: Marked by the Spiral/web. Honestly you can argue either fear or both with this guy. I think the web fits in the sense of his fear of being controlled and the spiral with not trusting your own head. Little man is definitely not an avatar but he’s absolutely marked by it.

Quackity: The Flesh aligned. I know this doesn’t really make sense at first but lemme explain. He made an army called the Butcher Army, he ATE Schlatt’s heart, and he oh idk ATE SCHLATTS HEART???? He also tortured Dream in prison too but like, I’m sure you can argue the slaughter for him but I don’t think what he’s doing is senseless killing nor do I think it’s anything strong enough to be considered avatar material. I like to think of him as flesh aligned in the same way Martin is Lonely aligned.

Slimecicle: Flesh avatar so self explanatory. He’s just a pile of goop. Little shlimmy. Shlopping goopy gump

Bbh: Corruption avatar. The egg. I’m so right and it’s so self explanatory.

the post you linked is actually the exact one I remembered?? yeah. I don’t have extensive thoughts on it either but I’m so happy you helped me find it again!! :)

I’m just gonna plop the little coherence I have of bending-related strangeness (not quite body horror) here:

firebenders, given their emotions often fuel their bending, cry fire/embers on occasion, trigger the ozone-feel of lightning when intensely afraid, etc. this makes more sense in my head but the idea of bending sources being more. physically linked to the bender is. sooo. and earthbenders thrive from their connection to the earth so I propose: earthbenders are always a little bit filthy, there’s always a little dirt somewhere, because the lack of it is psychologically agonizing. earthbenders from the 100 yr war with scars filled in with tightly packed earth. save me earthbenders with scars filled in with tightly packed earth.* earthbenders learning to bend each other from scar-fillings like a funky little earthbender-specific modified bloodbending,,, waterbenders having literal water filling their lungs because they move with the tide, the tide moves with them, within them, a cohesive, cohabiting unit. airbenders who compact air with each breath to be lighter, more connected to every sound and smell and sight carried on the breeze but separated from it all the same.

*I also have mako+bolin thoughts about that. so remember how I was yapping abt how mako (and bolin, by extension, would be physically realllyy fucked up? mako’s not technically an earthbender, but,,, ek genes,, and the brothers having matching creepy ass scars that freak the krew out a little bit but none of them really talk abt it,,,

yeah so that’s my thoughts on that!!

however I’m not done with you yet. I have au thoughts (again, to whose surprise?) so I’m kind off mentally ill about parallels in atla/tlok, sooo,, azula and mako.

so azula is known for her insaneee poker face despite years of repressed trauma and childhood emotional abuse, right. well. guess who else doesn’t express emotions visibly and is cosplaying a normal person over years of fighting for his life. ding-ding-ding, you guessed it, mako!

so, so hear me out here. mako directly paralleling something azula said/did (“you can laugh. it’s funny,” for example) a couple times. but then. but then.

this is where the au part comes in. something happens. maybe kill bolin, idk. (JUST READ THAT BACK WHAT AM I ON 😭🙏🏼) but mako gets the breakdown experience,,,

maybe shove zuko’s oldass in there as a bonus. bring in katara. have a blast, do whatever. but like he has to be sedated cause he’s just. losing it man. like sobbing and screaming and everything cause he spent so long doing everything to make sure bolin was okay (she spent so long doing everything to make sure she didn’t become like zuko) but here it is, all crumbling before him (he shouldn’t have been able to run that fast, it all crumbled before her) and he is absolutely powerless (what lightning can she summon chained up to a gutter? there is only so far her roars will reach, and they know to get out of range.)

I’m in my teen angst era rn and mako will in fact be enjoying the brunt of it. thanks for listening to my little rants and rambles :))

okay but when you translate it over to characters who make my brain turn,,, how did you know that it would intensify my opinions on the subject by 100x fdhkjghbdfjkshbjgdf personally i like mako & bolin to be not only internally fucked up, but also externally fucked up too!

ALSO I LOVE AZULA & MAKO PARALLELS. they are the two lightningbenders who looked at the concept of "lightning requires absence of emotion and peace of mind" and went yup, i'm going to dissociate the fuck out of life's collective traumas and use that to zap some shit up. there's this one edit somewhere out there on mako & azula doing the same feats in their respective shows which, if i were the type to engage in discourse, i would whip out to showcase that mako is not an incompetent firebender lol. but really — they're both firebender prodigies who were exploited and used by their respective mentors/figures of greater power. they both put on masks of feigned indifference because it's the sort of shit that enabled them to survive all these years in their vastly different but similarly dangerous environments. they're the pragmatists in comparison to their brothers and they do what it takes to reach where they must, with a learned apathy for those who get knocked down in the process.

so yeah! azula/mako parallels actually give me life, as do mako/katara parallels. (adding to the reasons as to why mako would've made a better girl, but i digress.)

ALSO mako paralleling shit azula said is actually so funny what i might have to casually incorporate that into the avatar!mako au sob dfjshkghjfdshjhhh

also jfc mako's breakdown would be brutal. that is not pretty shit. that would not be pretty. in fact it's so un-pretty that i think i'm going to write it (granted, maybe to a less explicit degree and without the whole dead bolin thing because it's canon compliant, but you bet your ass that rose beds & gasoline veins is going to delve into that deconstruction of everything mako's spent his entire life perceiving to be the point of his existence). anyway i love this au conceptually and you are so big brain for thinking it up. love your casual writing style too :)
