⚠ ETERNALS SPOILERS ⚠

Though there's no need anymore but…

Alright…

So, the first thing we see in the movie is their powers, which I find awesome.

And the way they put on their suits? Yea!

Also, i love that Shang-Chi was in the M of MARVEL in the opening. Did you see him?

We also have a Dr. Strange mention when Dane asks Sersi if she's a wizard. I do wanna see him as a giraffe.

Dane, he's a baby and Sprite, she's so badass. Her powers, dude, how she multiplied herself AND Sersi? Woooow.

I mean, you can't tell Gemma was already in a MCU movie. Like, her characters are so freaking different and I live that.

And, imma tell you, my brother would yell “The King In The Noth!” every time Richard Madden was onscreen.

And i can't blame him, sorry.

I mean, Richard and Kit. Together. Again. We love them. We were both fangirling.

A mention of Thanos and the blip, people believing that the earthquake had something to do with that. Yeah, weird shit happens there wouldn't be surprised.

Well, Ikaris is, indeed, the most beautiful. And I don't accept other opinions.

Now, I don't know why everyone was so upset about that sex scene. There was nOTHING ONE COULD SEE! It wasn't explicit, it wasn't forced, and it wasn't even long!!!

Ajak choosing Sersi to replace her was something I should have seen coming. Why didn't I is a mystery.

Also, i already know she died. Except I did not think it would happen so early in the story.

Lemme just… MI ✨ TENOCHTITLAN ✨ HERMOSA, TE AMO. Though they didn't show you in your best of moments.

Sorry, I got distracted for a second.

For a sec I was like wtf is happening to Thena? But then we got the explanation of the Mahd' Wy'ry and it kind of made sense.

Knowing that somehow Druig was right but also knowing he couldn't interfere is like uuuuugh!!

But he did it anyway so… yeah.

Now, the DCEU is canon in the MCU. Batman and Alfred and freaking Clark Kent are more canon than Mephisto and Evan Peters' Quicksilver. I don't know how to feel about it.

Also, his friendship with Thena is beautiful. His way of bringing her back was, in my opinion, way better than Nat's lullaby to Hulk. Don't mind me, I don't like that pairing.

So, there is no Olimpia, The World Forge is where the Eternals are MADE. *insert Scott Lang's voice* Their whole existence is a bunch of… bullshit?

Also, i was not expecting that deviant thing. Like, Arishem created them as well for the intelligent kind to appear. What - -?!

Abruptly changing the topic; I cAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE GOT MAD ABOUT A GAY COUPLE IN THE MOVIE!

Like, hello!!! It wasn't forced, it was casual, natural and just fucking normal. And I love how it wasn't a big deal that had to be explained in the film because it is NORMAL.

Ikaris mentions the vibranium, and we saw this in the trailers but I just love how Wakanda and its open doors to the world are relevant.

I'm living for that reference of King Arthur being in love with Thena. Man, we all are and if you're not, you're lying yo yourself.

Okay, we know why Ikaris left Sersi now.

And the fact that thanks to Thanos the emergence was delayed? Was he a good guy?

Not a serious question but it makes you think though.

Now I understand why Ikaris was described as “loyal”.

Because, as I said, I knew Ajak died and I knew it was Ikaris who killed her, but I did not expect it that way!

Now, and I'll be as calmed as possible, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU, SPRITE?!?! I, TOO, WOULD LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND FOR RICHARD MADDEN BUT HOW COULD YOU BETRAY YOUR FAMILY?

Thena, sweetheart, you're a goddess and I love you, I'm so proud of you for getting rid of that deviant.

I don't know how to feel about Ikaris not being able to kill Sersi. Like, it's not actually a redemption arc, but the fact that he loved her so much he couldn't do it makes me like him.

Yeah, I said that. I understand why all of you hate him but I can't bring myself to do it. And I'm ready to physically fight whoever dares to say anything about him.

Now, Spite got everything she wanted, she's a human ajd I'm happy she got her happy ending.

Or the happiest she can be without Ikaris around.

And, WHY, ARISHEM, DID YOU HAVE TO INTERRUPR DANE WHEN HE WAS ABOUT TO TELL SERSI ABOUT THE BLACK KNIGHT??!?

We all knew he'd be there, but I got excited when Eros made his entrance. My inner fangirl screamed.

"It was love", or five reasons and five refutations of hatred for sylki

So, folks, I did it. I finally translated from Russian an amazing article about the romantic line in “Loki”. I agree with every word in it. Hope it’ll help all the sylki shipers to fend off the attacks of antis with a reasoned arguments.

Would you like to talk about our god Odin the most controversial Marvel franchise pairing which caused a storm of indignation and negative emotions on the part of fans?

We're talking about Loki/Sylvie from "Loki" (2021) mini-series, or sylki (lovie) as they were called by fans. Apparently a simple get-pairing consisting of a man and a woman (or bisexual gender fluids, if you prefer), but some people were shocked by such a relationship on the screen. Why? What for? How? That may be your questions. So we’ll discuss their claims and groundlessness of them in this article.

But before we start talking about it, I want to clarify what actually the concept of the "selfcest" is.

Usually we marked as a "selfcest" those works that describe the relationship of a character with himself. Most often, this warning implies a "doubling" of the character; alternatively – the same character is taken at different ages or falls for his/her absolutely identical copies.

Agreed?

Let's go then.

The first and main thing which follows from the definition above is: "Showing the selfcest on the screen is disgusting and immoral!"

It also follows from the definition above that the selfcest is the relationship of the same character with himself in the form of identical copies both in character and appearance. The highest form of narcissism, according to Mobius (which, in fact, is to some extent true). Horrors from a snuffbox, according to some impressionable audience. It hardly makes sense to rant about the fact that masturbation is also a form of selfcest (although the fact is rather amusing).

The bottom line is that if Loki once again created a copy of himself to deceive someone and fell in love with it, it would be a selfcest. Splitting himself into two people and building a relationship between them is a selfcest as well. Turning into a hermaphrodite and ... no, this is something completely perverted.

The basis of the selfcest is absolute identity. If we take a character who is so in love with him/herself that he/she sees relationships only with him/herself, then in such a case he/she can only build them with a perfect scanned copy of him/herself. It will be very easy for the person who knows him/herself inside and out to notice some inconsistencies in a partner, and then it makes no sense to build a relationship if he/she is not as perfect (as the "original" is), isn’t it? That’s how this logic works.

And now attention, please!

Is the romance of two Elvis Presley understudies a selfcest?

They look almost the same, both like Elvis... But no, right? These two people are different people, with different tempers and lives, who are similar only in appearance and pseudonyms. So this is a very ordinary relationship.

Now let's get back to our sheep. So we have two people from different worlds, with different stories, different tempers, different powers and different external signs who were born under the same name and later lived their lives with different ones. The only thing that is identical in them is the essence of the God of Mischief. So where is the ground for an egoistic selfcest? Nowhere.

Don't forget about identity. We can say that they are very similar, since initially they are both Lokis. But do you wanna say it's so hard to meet similar people in real life? No. Do you wanna say it's hard to meet similar people in two similar universes? No. I'll tell you a secret: writers often like to use the trope of intertwining almost identical tempers between characters to show their mental connection. And it's not a crime, but a common technique. And, again, a "similarity" doesn't fall under the criteria of selfcest.

And finally, if Sylvie were an exact copy of Loki, would there be people who love one but can't stand the other? It's the same character after all, so what's the problem? But the point is that Loki is Loki. And Sylvie is Sylvie. They exist separately from each other and are not the same due to the presence of distinctive features.

If you want to use Kang's words, remember that he admired these two.

The second and no less amusing is "Loki doesn't need a love interest at all!"

I'm sorry, but which Loki?

The one who appeared in all the films of the series "Thor" and "The Avengers"?

He's dead, guys.

And Loki from the series is a character torn out from the finale of the first "Avengers" and revamped by TVA with the help of an impromptu session of psychologist Mobius and viewing on-screen all of his promising deeds. This Loki was told head-on that he was created as a minor character in order to plot his machinations for the development of the protagonists and he was unnecessary to the whole world. This Loki has an advantage over the previously known version of himself just in knowing this fact. This Loki has recognized for everyone and for himself that he didn't want to harm the others. And this Loki, by definition, is already a different character, but for some reason people tailor him to a long-familiar one, ignoring the obvious things point-blank.

He is no stranger to simple human feelings, because every version of the God of Mischief is initially an offended and despised child grown up in the shadow of his own brother, a child who just wanted to be loved too and in the same way. Only the paths to this under-goal were different for all Lokis. One killed Thor in order to remain the only ruler (people always adore kings), another invented unthinkable feats (people love heroes), the third built a perfect world out of promises for everyone, the fourth tried to become a hero himself, but was too crushed to find mistakes in his plan, the fifth excluded himself from the equation so that everyone understood he didn't want to harm the others and to cause the pain.

Loki from the series is a version that knows everything about himself, but at the same time is not bound by the framework of the other variants' plot. He doesn't need to win back Asgard, to fight with Thanos, with the Avengers, with contempt and so on. He is free from borders. He is from the world where Frigga never died. He is the only Loki without the "glorious purpose". He is different.

So his attitude to other people is now different as well. It's stupid to perceive this version exactly as a long-known character.

After all he had seen, this Loki would hardly be able to live alone like any other. He is extremely naked and needs love (in any form), as the most reliable and not bringing destruction and suffering point of support.

The third and my favorite thing is: "Love in five minutes! Why did it come out at all?"

Why did Loki fall for Sylvie, and even in a couple of days?

OK, you can quite easily explain Sylvie's motivation: she found a person who had interest for her, who suddenly cared about her, protected her... Could he be an unworthy party in such a case? Moreover, before that, Sylvie, in principle, had no close people and she internally really lacked such an attitude to herself, banal love (parents, people, friends, romantic), which she hadn’t due to the lack of normal childhood and a stable life.

But Loki?..

But Loki is not a vain killing machine from The Avengers anymore, not a person for whom the self-affirmation is the only goal in life. Let's rewind a little, and remember that he was brainwashed in TVA and lowered from heaven to earth. Loki was always reasonable. Loki could always be courteous and friendly. Loki was always a gentleman. And finally he realized that there's no sense in all this aggression and hyperbolized narcissism, and he pushed his one-actor theater aside in order to at least normally rethink the concept of time and reality.

And here comes Sylvie.

Unpredictable, dangerous, painfully similar to him, but at the same time completely different. Loki never had good intentions in his conquests; only the ways were sometimes good. Sylvie went to the good liberation of people and the return of their right to choose their lives, but through blood. In fact, she is his mirror image.

She intrigued. A wild person who swung at the destruction of the time control organization alone and coped well with it.

However, the countdown started from the moment when they both got on the train. The moment when Loki began to understand what the real essence of Sylvie was. Grown up in fear, distrustful, broken Sylvie, who was desperately trying to make TVA pay for everything. For everyone. And it was amazing for him.

Here, as for me, the Moffat's quote about his BBC Sherlock fits very well: ..when he saw her, he thought: "Maybe there can be someone like me?" – but with a slight nuance that Loki himself would like to be someone like that. Like a fighter in spite of and for the good, causing admiration. With some corrections in the form of the absence of a painful childhood, despair and anger.

Then the spring of "Loki's MeUs" begins to unwind, and the essence of it is that he understands her and her feelings, because, although they are different people, they are internally similar. Loki looks at her as if she is a person he has known for a very long time, but not completely. It's like if you met an old childhood friend seven years later: it seems to be the same, but also it seems to be different. It seems that everything is elementary, but there's not enough of a certain number of details.

(He'll realize later that he was missing much more).

So we take the initial interest, add the conditional knowledge of a person, and we get a very specific variation of the trope "from friends to lovers".

This may seem far-fetched, but we have two factors on our hands that are fundamental for this trope. Keep them in your head, but for now, let's applaud the fact that Marvel for the first time figured out how to derive formulas for the logical development of relationships in the shortest possible time. In what way? In the most elementary way: through psychology.

There's such a thing as the stages of the formation of relationships, which includes:

- Falling in love (interest, flirting, rethinking)

- Trust (challenge, joint activity, mutual assistance)

- A sense of kinship (empathy, responsibility, confidence)

- A sense of unity

- Love

In our case, only the first three points are considered, but the third one is with a chip in the form of a final. I should also focus attention on the fact we are not considering love. We are considering a serious crush, which can develop into love, since the latter one is a slightly longer process that still has to go through to the end. And we consider them in extreme (+accelerated by our two fundamental factors) conditions, where our heroes are forced to work together and trust each other in order to survive.

After reviewing the aspects of the three points we have chosen, we can easily draw analogies with the events that happened with Loki and Sylvie.

They are interested in each other, they think that they know each other, they develop in relationships with each other in a completely healthy way. A little faster than in the series for a hundred episodes maybe, but it is conditioned.

Needless to say, this is impossible and illogical: we have the clearest example of love from nowhere in the form of a couple of Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, who had absolutely no prerequisites to it, but at the same time kissed at the end of the first film. Nothing personal, it's just a fact.

The relations of our "defendants" aren't based on carnal attraction, they didn't immediately break out ready-made due to a rush of adrenaline, they are not one-sided and not abusive. Loki and Sylvie carry about each other, support each other (if it doesn't seem so, then we'll also talk about Sylvie a little later, everything in its own time), plus sympathy and love based on the fact that a person is ready to fight with you and trust you, sounds very appropriate, doesn't it?

And yes, there are similar examples of "love in five minutes" in life, which I've also seen. This is real.

The fourth thing which also makes me roll my eyes is "Sylvie didn't need relationships at all and she didn't care about Loki."

So let's make a small lyrical digression and think about who Sylvie is.

The Goddess of Mischief? Yep, but far from Loki, which means there's no sense to adjust her to the same classic image. As a child, Sylvie was dragged out of her own world. As a child, Sylvie fled across the time with fear and horror from TVA. Sylvie hid all her conscious life and saw people dying around her over and over again. Sylvie knew that outside of the apocalypses millions are simply dying from the hands of TVA too. She was alone all the time, during all her life she developed anger and hatred for this organization, until revenge for herself and for others became the only meaning of her life.

And here comes Loki.

Another version of the God of Mischief, which forces her to rebuild the plan on the go, in order to still bring it to the end. Frivolous, broken, stucked up Loki. He lazily, automatically puts sticks in her wheels. And then, on Lamentis, he suddenly decides to fight with her and help. After that, he completely trusts her with his life and cares about her own. And it seems to her like some kind of nonsense, like another trick, an invention for personal gain. Sylvie understands the essence of Loki, but she can't perceive him the way he perceives her. She sees in him what she could have become without the intervention of TVA.

But after that rush through the city, after realizing the hopelessness of the situation, when he says he is sorry and he thinks she is amazing, something clicks in her head. No one has ever cared about her (in this regard, she is not like Loki, who had at least Frigga), and now Loki, who knows her only from the archives and her meager life-story, who dragged her into the apocalypse, but also tried his best to help her to get out, just says that he is fascinated.

Sylvie grew up with her own concept of truth and lies: for her, there's only her truth and the eternal deception from the others. And then she thinks: may it be that..?

The thoughts that no one on the entire Timeline needs her, and that she should have recognized the lie, are marinating in her head to the end. Loki is not like the people she has spent her whole life with (he looks more like her, understands more or tries to understand at least; he believes), Loki behaves strangely and worries about her. Sylvie can't believe it (her past affects her completely), but subconsciously she wants someone to really care about her.

And she starts taking care of Loki in return. She comes closer and closer, but at the same time she is ready to turn around and rush back at any moment. Because she's scared. Sophia Di Martino says that for Sylvie, feelings are something new, unknown, and such things always cause fear in people. She tries to deny it, to be ironic, she's waiting for a trick, but doesn't move away.

She's just thinking: "Come on. Betray me. Betray me so that I'll be right again and trust no one anymore."

But Loki doesn't betray her. On the contrary: he recognizes that he cares of her, he tries to protect her with all his might. And that's the moment when Sylvie finally falls in love. That's why she pushes him through the portal to TVA which – the Multiverse is being formed, yay – is the safest place at the time.

Why didn't she give up on killing Kang? Because that was her glorious purpose. Sylvie lived with the revenge and the dream of saving everyone from the dictator and she just couldn't give up all this after the horrors that she experienced in her life. Blood, death and fear – that's what she saw during all these years. But Loki didn't see that so he couldn't understand. That's why Sylvie didn't listen to him.

And if she didn't care about Loki, if she didn't feel anything at all, Sylvie would have killed him the moment her sword was at his neck. She'd killed before – it wouldn't be a problem. But she does care of Loki.

The fifth and final thing is "These relationships hinder the development of both characters!"

And that's the funniest claim from those who watched the series with their eyes closed.

During the series, Sylvie and Loki are revealed from new sides thanks to their feelings. Caring for others, compassion, responsibility, the very fact of showing love for another person – all this develops them both. The friendship was shown through Mobius. The family has always been represented by Thor, Odin and Frigga. But showrunners wanted to reveal Loki from all sides, decompose him into components and show what he is from the inside in all aspects. And they did it.

Loki, who doesn't care about the fate of the Universe, and who only wants to regain world domination again, turns into a hero who wants to save the whole world. And one more person.

With Sylvie, it's a little more difficult, due to the fact that her life was also more difficult. Her case is more lost. However, in the end we see that such a long-awaited retribution doesn't bring her satisfaction. Because she understands the wrongness of this act, she regrets it and realizes that everything was wrong. But she realizes it too late.

If we had cut Loki out of her life, Sylvie would have killed the Keeper without any guilt, without feeling remorse, because she wouldn't have known that everything could be different, that she might choose another way.

This is what is called character development.

Sophia says both Loki and Sylvie feel the same, they grow together, but at different rates. And by the end of the series, Sylvie is approximately where Loki was after a psychotherapy session with Mobius. But not at the very beginning – that's what's important.

I hope this article has at least a little explained the whole essence of sylki pairing, because surely I'm not Tom and Sophia, who know their characters best. However, trying is something, isn't it?

MCU The Avengers - How did the fandom came to believe Loki was tortured by Thanos? (aka when God, Saint Paul and Dante seem to say the same thing)

Everyone has probably heard how there are people who say that, after falling into the Void at the end of “Thor”, Loki was tortured by Thanos and then sent to Earth. Of course every time this story comes up there’s a debate because this is not explicitly shown and some say it’s just a theory (word of Dante), some say someone involved with the work said so (word of Saint Paul) and some says the creators, be it Marvel or Joss Whedon or another director/scriptwriter said so (word of God).

Well, the truth is a collective chat about the three.

But first...

Let’s start with...

WORD OF DANTE (aka fancanons)

Undoubtedly fans noticed some suspicious things in Loki which has brought them to draw certain conclusions.

1) At the end of “Thor”, when he control Selvig, his face seems to be bruised, as if he had been beaten. It’s easy for fans to assume if he seems to be beaten maybe... well, he was?

2) When he arrives, in “The Avengers”, in some scenes he seems unsteady on his feet and in poor shape as if he’d been beaten and, in one scene, he seems unable to stand straight. Same as above, Loki will prove through the movie he’s very resistant. If something made him unsteady on his feet... well, this can mean someone beaten him.

3) The Other threatens him and keeps him under surveillance, as if he’s controlling him somehow, both during the movie and in a deleted scene, which seems to imply Loki is working under coercion more than willingly.

THE OTHER: You will have your war, Asgardian. If you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can’t find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain. [The Avengers]

4) Some wondered if Loki could have ended up being possessed as well by the sceptre as the sceptre could control minds.

5) Some noticed how Loki’s eyes appear as blue in “The Avengers”, a characteristic of the possessed guys, while in “Thor” they seem to be green was a hint Loki was possessed, same as Selvig and Barton.

6) Some wondered if Thanos might have tortured him to force him to cooperate as Thanos is known for having tortured people working under him. We saw him torturing Nebula in both “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” and we also have those bits:

Gamora: He’s not my father. When Thanos took my home world, he killed my parents in front of me. He tortured me, turned me into a weapon. [Guardians of the Galaxy]

Nebula: You were the one who wanted to win. And I just wanted a sister! You were all I had. But you were the one who needed to win. Thanos pulled my eye from my head… and my brain from my skull… and my arm from my body… because of you. [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2]

Gamora: All my life, I dreamed of a day... a moment when you would get what you deserved. And I was always so disappointed. But now... you kill and torture... and you call it mercy. The universe has judged you. You asked it for a prize, and it told you no. You failed. And do you wanna know why? Because you love nothing. No one. [Avengers: Infinity War]

7) Others assumed that, if Thanos didn’t do it personally, another of his children could have done it for him. We saw Ebony Maw torturing Stange in order to get the stone for Thanos.

Ebony Maw: You’ll only wish you were dead. [Avengers: Infinity War]

8) Since Thanos was willing to kill Rohan should he fail to bring back to him the orb, Thanos would have killed Loki if he hadn’t brought back the Tesseract so Loki was working for him under coercion.

Thanos: I shall honour our agreement, Kree. If you bring me the Orb. But return to me again empty-handed... ...and I will bathe the stairways in your blood. [Guardians of the Galaxy]

Ebony Maw: In all the time I’ve served Thanos, I’ve never failed him. If I were to reach our rendezvous on Titan with the Time Stone still attached to your vaguely irritating person, there would be... judgement. [Avengers: Infinity War]

9) Loki’s willing cooperation wasn’t needed if Thanos had the feeling Loki could do it. He had blackmailed Gamora into giving him the location of the soul stone and he had killed Tivan to get the reality stone.

World of Dante is, as usual, very charming but if not supported by anything else it can’t ascend to canon. This doesn’t mean it’s false unless Word of God ends up stating the opposite, but this doesn’t mean it’s true either. Just possible but unproved.

So is there someone else that’s a little stronger than fan theories?

WORD OF SAINT PAUL (aka what Tom Hiddleston says)

For start that he has blue eyes and, from the way he speak, apparently he was never made wear green eye contacts.

Loki is a sexy villain, but that’s not part of his ambition, is it? He doesn’t seem to be interested in love or sex but he has this sexuality about him, maybe it’s his lust for power. This disproves Fan theory point number 5. You might have noticed though that the theory about Loki being possessed by the sceptre is point 4. You’ll see later why I hadn’t placed those two points together.

And now let’s see what he has to say about what happened between “Thor” and “The Avengers.

In your opinion, what happen to Loki when he fell in to the void? Like, what did he experienced? HIDDLESTON: “You mean at the end of Thor?” “Yeah.” HIDDLESTON: “I think he went like with everything else to… Joss Whedon and I discussed it, to a sort of… hum… as… It was like the worst place imaginable. How different is Loki in this film when compared to how he is in Thor? I think that he comes into his own power at the end of Thor. Is he just very angry and bitter in this film? HIDDLESTON: Well, what can I say here? I swear to you that in that building over there, there are sniper rifles. [laughs] I think that what was interesting about the journey of Loki in Thor is that he went from second string and damaged prints to being the God of mischief and God of evil. I think somewhere between the end of Thor and the beginning of The Avengers, Loki has been to the Marvel equivalent of the 7th circle of hell. At the end of Thor you see him let go. He lets go of the spear, he lets go of Asgard, and he lets go of the need of his brother and father’s affection and approval. He has bigger plans now. HIDDLESTON: “At the end of Thor, Loki lets go of that spear and falls into a wormhole,” Hiddleston said. “And the question in the audience’s mind, one hopes, is what happens to Loki in that moment? There’s actually more but I think I’ll stop here.

Overall Tom Hiddleston seems to be a big supporter of something terrible happening to Loki, something equivalent to being ‘to the Marvel equivalent of the 7th circle of hell’* evidently at the hands of someone, the ‘shadiest characters you can find in the Nine Realms’, ‘some terrible, terrible people’.

Basically he says ‘I don’t have any frame of reference for that, really, except for imagining what it might be like to be… I don’t know, to be kidnapped by sort of a terrorist cell or something. And have to survive very very frightening and precarious existence.’

[*7th circle of hell: For who’s curious the 7th circle of hell in Dante Alighieri’s Divina Commedia is where are punished those who had committed violence against others and against themselves (suicides). Loki committed both sins. For Dante people who committed violence against people is immersed in a river of boiling blood with centaurs shooting arrows at those who try to escape while suicides are transformed into bushes and trees, gnarled and thorny, fed upon by the Harpies for all time. Likely that’s not what was done to him but anyway that’s not a nice place to be.]

Yes, Tom Hiddleston never said it was Thanos and his men who ‘kidnapped Loki and put him through the equivalent of the 7th circle of hell’. He’s very vague on this but we now Tom Hiddleston is careful not to give information which could constitute spoilers.

He also never mentions Loki being mind controlled as far as I know.

So we need an even higher source.

We need...

WORD OF GOD, or, in this case the WORD OF GODS, plural, because in the Marvel world there’s plenty of people who can claim authorship for the stories of those characters.

Whedon avoided speculating about his future plans, claiming he had too much on his plate to think about what will come next, but he did reveal that he’s bothered by a bit of unresolved backstory for Loki. At the end of Thor, Loki was emotional conflicted, but at the beginning of Avengers, he’s a demented villain, with no qualms about unleashing alien hell on Earth. Asked about how happened in between, Whedon said: “Well, I can’t tell you exactly what went on because it’s this dark, dark secret that I didn’t make up yet. But, the other day, I had trouble with that because he had this very passionate Shakespearean tragedy thing going on in Thor and then I needed a villain who’s not only capable, but ready and willing and anxious to take on all these heroes. For me, he just basically went on some horrible walkabout… That was pretty much as far as I got.” [Joss Whedon told Comic-Con the question he doesn’t want us to ask ever again]

God confirms what Tom Hiddleston said, Loki went through something terrible... but he had no idea what because he still had to work on it. He didn’t want to establish what. But, as I said, Marvel has plenty of Gods willing to talk.

After Loki fell in the wormhole... where did he fell?

Arriving at the Sanctuary through a wormhole caused by the Bifrost, Loki met the Other, ruler of the ancient race of extraterrestrials the Chitauri, and Thanos. Offering the God of Mischief dominion over his brother’s favorite realm Earth, Thanos requested the Tesseract in return. Gifted with a Sceptre that acted as a mind control device, Loki would be able to influence others. Unbeknownst to him, the Sceptre was also influencing him, fueling his hatred over his brother Thor and the inhabitants of Earth. [MARVERL official web]

So no, after falling into the wormhole Loki didn’t go on a touristic trip through the universe, met someone bad unrelated to Thanos, changed and then met up with Thanos.

He straight out ended up at the Sanctuary and met with the Other who worked for Thanos.

Yes, they don’t say he got tortured in this bit but they confirm the sceptre was influencing him, ‘fueling his hatred over his brother Thor and the inhabitants of Earth’.

There’s some more that comes from Joe Russo and Stephen McFeely.

If you’ve watched every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you shouldn’t have been too surprised Thanos killed Loki. His death has been a long time coming since 2012’s “Avengers.” You may not recall, but it was Loki’s job in “Avengers” to secure the Tesseract and deliver it to Thanos. Loki never made good on that promise. It was only a matter of time before Thanos came after him to collect. Co-director Joe Russo says Thanos ultimately murders Loki “for disobedience.” “Remember, he [Thanos] had a relationship with Loki, even if it was off-screen where he entrusted him with a duty in ‘Avengers 1’ and Loki failed,” pointed out “Infinity War” screenwriter Stephen McFeely. “He’s [Thanos] making him [Loki] pay,” added Joe Russo. “Thanos has a long memory,” McFeely concluded. [‘Avengers: Infinity War’ director explains why a major death had to happen so early in the movie]

And then... then there’s something that’s even above World of God.

So finally we have...

CANON, aka what the movies say, and they say the weirdest canon lines in this regard if I can say so.

Thanos: [Walks over and drops Loki’s body in front of Thor.] No resurrections this time. [Avengers: Infinity War]

Loki: Is that the only reason you brought us here? To kill us? I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve been killed, so go ahead. Do your worst. [Loki Ep 4]

How all this translates? (aka Word of Dante comes back because God and Saint Paul are just too obscure and canon is no better)

If Loki after falling into the wormhole ended up straight to the Sanctuary, the ones who played the part of the terrorists and lead him to an experience similar to ending in the 7th circle of hell where he had many brushes with death where either Thanos or his men.

Do your pick if the Other took care of it personally, if Thanos did the job or if he let the pleasure to Ebony Maw and what they did to him, if they forced him to fight with others same as Gamora and Nebula where forced to do, with the loser also losing a body part or if they just beat him.

The fact that Loki, in the “Loki” series say he has been killed so many times he lost count and that Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War” says there will be no resurrection this time seem to be connected.

That Loki as far as we know only attempted suicide by letting himself fall in a wormhole once, and Thanos couldn’t know Loki was given up for dead in Svartalfheim so the idea that Loki was killed many time and that Thanos know he had been resurrected should be connected.

How? That’s beyong my understanding as, as far as I know, no one in Thanos’ group has resurrecting powers. Can the mind stone do it? This would open up another theory.

As for the sceptre controlling him ‘fuelling his hatred over his brother Thor and the inhabitants of Earth’ what does that mean?

That he’s clearly not completely brainwashed as Selvig and Hawkeye.

So which is his level of brainwashing?

Very likely it’s at the same level as the one of the Avengers when they are in the same room and start arguing and the discussion degenerates to the point they seemed about to go at each other while the gem in the sceptre starts to glow, which is something both the script and the novelization reference...

[As the “team” argues, they don’t realize the BLUE GEM on Loki’s sceptre is glowing brightly.] [“The Avengers” Script]

None of them noticed when the gem set into Loki’s sceptre started to glow. [“Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Avengers”]

...and that the visual remark, turning the scene upside down as the gem is in full focus.

The novelization describes them as arguing without even knowing exactly what they’re arguing about.

Tony and Cap squared off over an argument that they couldn’t remember starting. Tony was still mad about the last thing Cap had said to him... whatever it was. [“Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Avengers”]

We also see Bruce picking up the sceptre without realizing, something that’s referenced both by the script and the novel.

BANNER: You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm? [BLACK WIDOW and Fury have their hands down to grab their guns.] STEVE: Doctor Banner... put down the sceptre. [BANNER LOOKS DOWN AND IS SHOCKED TO SEE HE’S HOLDING LOKI’S SCEPTRE. The computer beeps. They all turn to it.] [“The Avengers” Script]

“Dr. Banner,” Cap said. “Put down the sceptre.” Bruce looked down. He hadn’t even known he’d picked it up. He looked back up and saw Natasha’s hand on her sidearm. Fury was also ready to draw. The others were drawing back from him as well. Even though he could see what was going on, the hostility in the air was still tick enough that Bruce didn’t know wherever he could back everyone down... or wherever he could back himself down. He could feel the tension rising inside him. He could feel the monster trying to get loose. [“Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Avengers”]

The implication is that the sceptre is influencing them, pulling out their worst feelings and competitively and whatever which matches with what it did with Loki, it fuelled his hate.

It’s interesting how, when Loki arrives on Earth, the gem is glowing...

Also, the stranger held a kind of spear in his right hand. Set into its head, a gem glowed the same icy blue as the energy that had spilled from the Tesseract. [“Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Avengers”]

...and he also looks at the sceptre as if he hadn’t realized having it in his hand.

“Sir,” Fury called as armoured S.H.I.E.L.D. agents closed nearer, “Please put down the spear.” The man looked at the sceptre as if he had only just noticed he had it. Then, slowly, he looked back up at Fury, and a vicious smile spread across his face. [“Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Avengers”]

It’s worth to mention though, in that scene in which the Avengers argue, none of the Avengers has his eyes turning blue, although they weren’t themselves any longer.

So, it’s possible this is the distinction, Clint and Selvig have completely lost their will and are subjugated to Loki’s will, and as a result they’ve the blue eyes, Loki and the Avengers instead only had their mind warped by increasing exponentially their negative feelings to the point they might have started losing focus of the situation and only operate on negative feelings... if that’s make sense. They’re still themselves but their perception is warped so they’re acting in a way that’s not normal for them.

On another note it seems that in Joss Whedon’s Avengers DVD Commentary he said that

Hawkeye’s blue “possessed eyes” were added in post very late in the game, to make it more obvious that he and Eric Selvig were under Loki’s influence. [Secrets Revealed in Joss Whedon’s Avengers DVD Commentary]

This means that originally they weren’t meant to turn blue.

In the novel there’s no mention of it, in the script they’re described just as glowing black and then nothing more.

LOKI: You have heart. [Loki places the tip of the spear against Barton’s chest. Barton’s eye glow black, and he stops resisting. Loki begins controlling other agents around the room. Fury sneak up, grabs the Tesseract, and places it in a briefcase, trying to sneak out.] [“The Avengers” Script]

In the movie instead they turn all black for a moment and then settle on blue.

It’s an unnatural blue though, where Loki’s normal.

But again, this too is a fan explanation. A fan explanation based on canon, but still a fan explanation since God didn’t bother to explain further and at this point I’m afraid he’s not even interested in explaining it since the “Loki” series could have dug on this and instead expressed 0 interest in digging into the past movies.

Sometimes we’ve just to accept that fan theories are all we have and that we can like or dislike them.

I wanna take a moment to appreciate Thor’s character development because it’s so good and I feel like it’s overlooked.

He starts out, in “Thor,” as an arrogant prince. Thirsting for war and power- much like Odin did before changing his ways and casting out Hela. He is reckless and stupid, getting he and his friends into trouble. Odin has enough of this and exiles him to earth. This is, of course, where his development takes place. He is humbled in his time on earth, learning to accept himself without the powers of Mjolnir, and taking time to appreciate the smaller things that life has to offer. Fulfillment isn’t granted by how many riches one owns or realms they conquer- it’s granted through love for those around you. By the end of this journey he has changed, and he is willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of people that aren’t even his subjects. Once he gets back to Asgard he fights Loki not because he craves battle, but because it’s the only way to protect everyone. Thor learns to protect people that aren’t his responsibility- Jotunnheim, earthlings- and in doing so risks his own life. He sacrifices his life to protect the people of earth, and destroys the bifrost to keep the frost giants from going extinct. The Frost giants are the very people that Thor had sought to destroy at the beginning of the movie. Over the course of it, Thor became worthy. Who once was arrogant and reckless becomes became humble and selfless.

This change prepares Thor for his next big journey in “The Avengers” which brings him to save earth from Loki once again- only this time the whole planet instead of a small town. By this time Thor has already changed a lot- as I just covered. His next character improvement? Teamwork. Though Thor’s obviously fought alongside friends before- the Avengers are different. Frankly, they’re a mess. Just a bunch of broken people with powers strong enough to save the world. Thor’s completely different from all of them- he’s from a whole other planet. Now he has to join them to fight his own brother. Not to mention the fact that he has to cope with the fact that he had believed Loki to be dead, only for him to come back hellbent on taking over a planet that Thor had grown to love. Yet Thor adapts and perseveres like he always does. He befriends this chaotic group of heroes- and though it takes a while, it pays off. The all work together beautifully by the end of the movie, and have formed an alliance that will be very important to Thor’s story going further.

In “Thor: The Dark World” Thor goes through a lot of character development. Truthfully, I overlook this fact a lot, considering that out of the Thor movies it’s probably the one that I watch the least, and the one I think of last when thinking about character development. However, it is crucial to setting the stage for both “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Thor: Ragnarok.” In this movie Thor has to learn that sometimes the right thing to do is to disobey orders. He goes rogue a bit- even resorting to getting Loki out of prison. Yet it manages to work out in the end. Thor suffers from the guilt of not being there in time to save his mother, Frigga, from the dark elves. This guilt drives him to realize that he can’t let anyone else die like Frigga did- pushing him to take risks and disobey Odin in order to stop the dark elves. Frigga’s death is also what leads to Thor and Loki working to mend their relationship. It’s because Thor needs Loki’s help that he gets him out of jail. Yes, Loki fakes his death again. Yes, they argue a lot. But at the end of the day they’re brothers. Brothers who have just lost their mother. And this brings them back together, working to restore their bond. Trusting Loki is a huge risk for Thor. He’s sacrificing everything to go after the dark elves. He’s putting the protection of Asgard over his own needs- and he learns to bend the rules to do what’s right. Odin may have forbidden Thor from going after the dark elves, but Thor disobeys his father and commits treason to save Asgard. And it works- the dark elves are stop. Thor’s actions, disobeying Odin, freeing Loki- no matter how risky, they paid off. By the end of this movie, Thor has totally let go of his ambition for the throne. He’s offered it, but refuses. His adventures thus far have taught him that he doesn’t need the throne- only to protect those that need help. That’s his purpose. This brings us to “Age of Ultron.”

“Age of Ultron” is a an important change of direction for Thor. Wanda’s hallucinations play a key role in his story going further. We see that he fears Asgard’s destruction- and that he may be responsible for it. He decides to investigate further. He discovers the infinity stones, and thus tasks himself with finding them. This is big for Thor because moving forward, he will be spending the next two years looking for the stones. This search for the infinity stones brings Thor to his greatest time character development thus far.

”Thor: Ragnarok” is a huge turning point for Thor. After a two year search for the infinity stones, Thor learns that Asgard’s destruction may be imminent after all, despite all of his preparation. It doesn’t help that his brother had faked his death yet again, his father dies, he has an evil sister that’s just been unleashed, Mjolnir is destroyed, and he’s flung to another planet where he’s made a prisoner. Meanwhile, most of his people on Asgard are being slaughtered. This leaves Thor with a feeling of hopelessness. He feels utterly powerless- especially without the powers of Mjolnir. However, throughout this movie, Thor discovers that he doesn’t need Mjolnir to harness his powers. It was simply a tool to assist him. He is strong enough without it. He learns to better understand and wield his powers. He also learns to embrace his responsibility as king of Asgard- not because he craves the throne, but because his people need him. Finally, he learns to face the destruction of Asgard itself, something he’d been trying so hard to stop, for the sake of protecting his people. This is something incredibly difficult for him to face- something he surely blames himself for- yet he does what he has to do to protect his people.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is unfortunately much more of a downwards spiral for our hero. It starts off with Thanos wrecking Thor’s ship and leaving most of the Asgardians to die in space- as well as killing his best friend, Heimdall, and his brother, Loki. Thor makes it his mission to get Stormbreaker, a deadly weapon, so that he can avenge his people and prevent anyone else from dying. He has to- he has nothing left. However, despite all of his efforts, Thanos still wins- and Thor feels like it’s all his fault.

This guilt brings Thor to his low point in “Endgame.” He struggles with the belief that the failure in “Infinity War” is his fault, all because he didn’t “go for the head.” His entire family is dead, and so are most of his subjects considering Thanos murdered many of them, including Loki and Heimdall, even before half of the universe got wiped out. This leaves Thor in a state of self-hatred, depression, and PTSD. Not a good mental state for someone being tasked with once again saving the universe. However, as he always does, he steps up to the plate and gets the job done for the sake of his people. If he can’t bring back the ones that never made it to earth in the first place, he can at least save the people that died in the snap. And after a talk with his deceased mother(through the power of time travel) Thor is motivated to pull himself together, get the reality stone, and face Thanos. And he does. He makes it out from the rockiest place he’s ever been and plays a critical role in helping saving the universe. He’s a mess and he feels like a failure, but he still manages to push through all of his pain and suffering to protect other people- because his whole life his priorities lay with putting other people first. His guilt has dragged him down- the knowledge that he’s still alive when so many people that he had dedicated his life to protecting are dead burdens him. Yet at the end of the day, he always rises up again. Why? Because that’s what heroes do.

ok but while i love, love, love classic loki with all my heart, and i love how they gave some credence to the fan theories of loki surviving iw, i constantly wanna push back against the part of fandom that is annoyed by loki’s death in iw because “he just pulled a dagger on thanos!! it’s so stupid!!”

like, i cannot believe more people don’t see it this way. did he need to spell it out for you? that heartbreaking look he gives thor? “Odinson”? “Undying fidelity”?

of course he knows he’s going to die. he sacrifices himself to thanos on a silver platter so that thanos doesn’t kill thor as well

loki knew that thanos was going to kill him. and if he tried to do something like save himself or save thor, thanos probably would have retaliated by killing both him AND thor.

by sacrificing himself to thanos - by doing something so clearly designed to get him killed, like pulling a dagger on thanos - he was trying to save his brother’s life. and he succeeded.

My Reaction to “Avengers Endgame”

Yes- I still haven’t seen this movie. Yes I know exactly what happens in this movie. I mainly avoided it for a while due to overhype but with some convincing from my brother, Imma sit my butt down and try to watch this.

Right off the bat, I feel like I should warn you guys and say that I have... my opinions... about stuff. Plus I’m a dumbass about Marvel so just bear with me.

I like that Disney Plus has to warn us about product placement

Are we gonna see little Nathaniel running around- THERE he is!

We are gonna see Clint’s entire family get freaking obliterated

Is all the rumbling from the sky or are those airplanes freaking crashing to Earth in the distance?

What if they pulled a reverse WandaVision and showed the people getting snapped out of existence in a future film or show? That would be freaking terrifying.

They’re [Tony and Nebula] playing paper football...

I wanna see more of THEIR interactions aboard the Milano. The shots of them just repairing the ship are great too.

I also like you see the visual difference between Tony and Nebula. While he’s growing gaunt and haggard from loss of oxygen, you can still see that Nebula looks absolutely fine because she’s like 75% android

Fanon Marvel cause they got I S S U E S

This isn’t really a fanfic thing, more or less what I envision the MCU would be in MY head. Granted not everyone’s gonna agree with these points, but that’s fine. Well all got our own opinions☺️

Q: Who survives the Snap in Fanon?

A: Steve, Thor, Bruce, Natasha, Clint, Nebula, Gamora, Rhodey, Rocket, Scott, Okoye, Shuri, Pepper, Wong, Valkyrie, Loki, and Tony

Q: Will anyone be recast?

A: Yes. Monica Rambeau is Captain Marvel instead of Carol Danvers. Make of that as you will.

Q: Are there gonna be any major changes?

A: Not for the most part, as I haven’t watched all the Marvel movies. However, these would be the most prominent ones:

* T*ny Stark is an anti-villain. His story has been changed to mostly fit the Superior Iron Man storyline. The IM trilogy would stay the same since I haven’t seen them, as well as the first two Avengers movies. However, he gets his immediate change in Civil War, where we find out that he worked for HYDRA the whole time, and wanted the Avengers to sign the Accords so the organization didn’t get found out. I feel it would’ve been interesting if we had seen Tony turn from a man who pretended to help others survive, into a man who only ever did things to help himself survive. If you don’t like this change: well then suck it cause it’s my fanon🙃

* Steve and Thor are in a relationship. This is mostly a personal preference, but I genuinely think they’d be a good couple. Their feelings would begin to come out in AOU, after the party scene. The two have a drink, slow dance, and confess there feelings. Simple, but cute (I think). Steve would think of Thor in Civil War, while Thor would have a scene in Ragnarok, in which he calls Steve and gets his opinion on everything that has happened to him (Odins death, Hela, losing Mjolnir etc). In Infinity War, they reunite and share a big kiss Pirates of the Caribbean style. As for Endgame: Steve doesn’t go to the past (I.e fucking up the timeline and Peggy’s happy life) and Thor stays on New Asgard to rule as King, with his consort by his side.

* CA:CW- People like Rhodey and Natasha don’t just immediately agree to the Accords. Instead, they go undercover and try to find out what the government is actually doing; Peter is on Team Iron Man until he finds out that Tony is HYDRA. It sucks that M*rvel really out here just making Peter iron boy instead of... ya know... Spider-Man; Civil War has a scene where Steve reminisces on his mother (his real moral compass fight me) and we focus more on him and less on Tinkie’s man pain; Instead of Tony being upset that Bucky killed both of his parents, he’d only get upset about his mother, as he actually wanted his father dead. Got this idea from a post where basically a bunch of people were talking about how Tony was probably HYDRA the whole time, which is where I got the idea. Feel free to add anything else.

* IW: Loki and Gamora don’t die. I feel like they killed off Loki a little too early since he was just getting the arc he so desperately needed. While I don’t really know what to do with him yet, I do know that he’ll be in a relationship with Valkyrie. I mean, did you see their fight scene? The sexual tension. As for Gamora, well we all practically hated it when she died and hated it even more when they brought her 2014 counterpart back from the past. Someone on Quora said that an alternative for Thanos to sacrifice on Vormir could be Ebony Maw, as out of all of Thanos’s children, he worshipped him the most. Maybe Thanos would hesitate as this was his most loyal child, but he does it cause gotta wipe out half the universe or whatever. It wouldn’t be as tragic tho, but (1) that’s the price we gotta pay for Gamora to stay alive, and (2) are we reeeaaally supposed to pity Thanos? Thanos? The guy who only ever fell in love with Death???. Anyways back to Gamora: I actually wanna do something for her. If you’ve ever seen RWBY, one of the main characters essentially loses her arm when she tried to save her friend. I know it sounds cruel for Gamora to loose a limb, but hey, sometimes you just like seeing your fav characters suffer🤷‍♀️. I was thinking it could go two ways:

- (1): Gamora loses her arm like the character in RWBY i.e, saving one of her friends like Mantis, Quill, or Nebula.

- Or (2): Thanos uses the Reality Stone to make the Guardians + Peter and Strange think that they have the upper hand. Strange uses his magic to hold Thanos down while the others try taking off the Infinity gauntlet. Once the gauntlet is nearly loose, Quill would try to strike him, as Nebula realizes that the whole thing is an illusion. But before she could warn the others it’s too late, and Gamora looses an arm to her boyfriend, leaving him and everyone in complete shock. I like this option more, as it would show not only just how cruel Thanos is, but that he never really loved Gamora. He just favored her above all his other kids. And hey, I’m a sap for angst.

* Feel free to add anything else.

* EG: So in the first bullet, I already said which characters survive the snap and that Captain Marvel isn’t Carol, but Monica. Aside from that, I haven’t really thought much of what to do with Endgame. Surprisingly, it’s difficult to write a better story for this one. What I would most like to happen, however, is more character moments. Thor’s PTSD and traumas being taken more seriously, and instead of him gaining weight he loses it (cause according to Tinkie’s dumb rant that’s what gets an audience to take your turmoil seriously. Pls don’t hate me for this decision). Bruce doesn’t turn into Professor Hulk, and his traumas are actually talked about. Also he gets closure on his relationship with Natasha (I know it’s not that great but I personally like it). Clint dies instead of Nat and we remember that Nat was the leader of the Avengers for like five years. Steve properly mourns his friends and actually acts like Steve Rogers and not a fucking imposter. We actually see what happened in Wakanda after the Snap, with Okoye and Shuri at the head of it all. Also Pepper would be stand in for Tony, cause ya know, she has a life outside of him and is actually smart. And her and Scott help with the Time machine or what other plan I or anyone can come up with. Again, feel free to add anything else.

Q: Will there be any new characters added?

A: For now just one: A robot named Iris (aka Iron Blade), created by Tony for HYDRA. I’ve made a summary of her here:

* Iris is an android created by the billionaire Tony Stark, who possesses a synthetic body made of Tungsten Carbide which is powered by the arc reactor in her chest. For years Stark worked into making Iris highly advanced, while also keeping her secret from the rest of the world until she was ready to be used by the organization HYDRA. She was trained by HYDRA in combat and artificial intelligence, transforming Iris into a dangerous, ruthless killing machine. However, she still managed to keep some essence of personality thanks to Tony, who refused to have her be simply mindless. This resulted in Iris inheriting some of Tony’s more negative traits, while even accepting his lavish lifestyle. Although she may act like him, Iris has her own traits which vary from being charismatic, eloquent, and sophisticated to privileged, arrogant and cruel. Due to HYDRA’s influence, Iris is mostly misguided and blindly follows orders.

* Iris was eventually revealed when Tony tried forcing the Avengers to sign the Sokovia Accords as a means to keep HYDRA underground. She was introduced as a new recruit of the US government, in which she had a hand in writing the Accords. When the Avengers found that Iris was created by not just HYDRA but by Tony, this caused a huge riff in the team. The people on Team Iron Man immediately turn on him once finding out that he created Iris, which in turn resulted in them finding out that not only had he been providing the organization with weapons, but was a member himself. Out of all the team members, Iris has the largest fallout with Bucky Barnes (the former Winter Soldier) and Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), as she mostly worked as their antithesis, showing what probably would’ve occurred had they never recovered from their manipulation at the hands of corrupt organizations.

* After the fight between Iron Man and Captain America, Iris went into hiding alongside Tony, who was no longer a member of the Avengers. For the next two years, Iris stayed by her creators side as he intended to carry out his boss’s plan. The titan Thanos had ordered Stark to help him eradicate half the universe. Tony agreed to the plan, as he believed that Earth had been ungrateful for his attempts at ‘saving’ the world. He would help Thanos, so long as he ensured his safety and payed him. Iris, programmed to follow orders, agreed to the plan without question.

* Once Thanos arrived on Earth, Iris would go to Wakanda to stop the Avengers from destroying the Mind Stone, all the while Stark attempted to kill the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Spiderman (also the only one who knew of Tony’s true alignments). Iris, failing to retrieve the Stone, joins Tony on Titan while Thanos fights the Avengers. Despite the Avengers attempts, Thanos gets the stones and does the Snap, in which Tony and Iris survive and go into hiding once more.

That’s pretty much it. I made this cause I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I wanted to share my opinions. Feel free to add anything or give constructive criticism.

- etc etc what if the reason loki is unable to attack the purple dinosaur with magic is because when he tackled thor earlier, he used whatever magic he had left to spare in order to heal him

checks out cos thor goes from flat on his face to swinging his fists in the space of like 30 seconds and the only thing to happen to him in between is said bit about loki tackling him

- why does heimdall save hulk? i mean, i could understand it if he were trying to aim the bifrost at thor and somebody somehow knocked off his aim and he accidentally saves hulk, but like, we've established that heimdall's loyalty is to the royal seat of asgard upon whom sits thor's mighty ass. thor who, in this scene, has just been incapacitated by a metal eggshell(?) and is at the mercy of their assailants. given heimdall's priorities, it is baffling to the point of inconceivability that he would preferentially save fucking HULK over his own king.

- if this next scene isn't the guardians of the galaxy coming across thor clutching loki's dead fucking body floating through space then i don't know why any of us are even here

- "he sent loki! the attack on new york was thanos!" makes no sense? like, if loki's scepter had the mind stone in it, which we established it did in the last movie when we broke it open to retrieve vision, then.....why didn't thanos just....take the mind stone in the first place? cos rock collecting is and has always been his goal?

Lonely Souls - Chapter 1

Peter Quill x Reader AU

A/N - omg guys, my first chapter!! I’m not sure how this whole scenario is going to pan out, but it was an idea I had late at night last night and I really liked it. It might be a little confusing to start off with, but please don’t let that put you off! Enjoy guys! :)

Warnings - based off the MCU (set directly after the events of Endgame), there’s going to be a slowburn to the relationship, love triangles, slight angst.

Searching for Gamora was more difficult than anything else. To the rest of the Guardians, they saw little to no point in searching for her, despite the fact that she worked with the group for more or less 5 years. The Gamora they knew and loved was gone - in her place was, yes, a woman who resembled her in both looks and backstory, but as well as that, this Gamora was from the past. A past that all of the Guardians knew of...but the wrong past all the same. Their Gamora was gone, and that was a fact they had all accepted and regrettably tried to move on from.

Well. Almost all of them.

Quill was still smitten with Gamora. To him, she was everything he wanted in a woman - badass, independent, warm-hearted (when she wanted to be). What more was there to want? He, to be completely honest, was in love with her. Sure, there were other women that he had met on the odd occasion when he went from planet to planet, scavenging for parts to sell and what-not, but they were just one-night flings. Not many of the women he had been attracted to in the past mattered to him...but Gamora...

It was frustrating, in his eyes. Her father, Thanos (stupid name, stupid chin), had killed her in order to grasp his hands onto a bit of stone. Quill didn’t see much of a point in that. To him, it was stupid (like Thanos). But then again, he wasn’t a psychopath. Sure, he was a bit reckless at times, but a psycho? Nah. Nope. Nada. But all the same, it was frustrating. He had finally found someone, apart from himself, that he genuinely cared about. And as soon as he got ahold of it properly, it was taken away from him.

“Where we goin’, Quill?” Rocket slapped the back of Peter’s seat as he made his way towards the front part of the ship.

Drax was snoring soundly in one of the seats, a bag of Zarg-Nuts barely hanging from his left hand. A few of the snacks had, in fact, fallen onto the floor, unknown to anyone else. But that was normal. Groot, meanwhile, was playing on his gaming console, quietly muttering curses under his breath. Nebula was in her bunker of the ship, alone. That was where she retreated to if either Groot or Rocket started to get on her nerves. It was better than screaming or stabbing them and starting a riot in the teams only safe space. Mantis...? She was staring into space. Literally. She was literally staring into space. And who could forget Thor?! The Guardian’s had adopted the Asgardian for a short amount of time, allowing him to ride to space with them for something to do. He was sitting near Quill, speaking about how is ex-girlfriend - Jane - had brutally dumped him. However, as soon as Rocket came towards the two, Thor’s absent rambling came to a slow halt.

“Well, rabbit,” Spinning his plump self to the left, Thor reached over and gave Rocket’s head a good massage, “I think we’re going t-“

“Morag.” Quill cut Thor’s sentence off, a hint of coldness in his tone.

Tracing his fingers over the buttons of the Milano, Quill hooked his music player up to it and set the ship onto autopilot. His eyes began to lighten up, slowly, as the sound of Surrender by Cheap Trick began to play through the cheap speakers that Rocket had managed to win through a gamble. The raccoon sighed softly, shaking his head and looking towards the star stricken paradise the crew were journeying through.

“Quill-“ Folding his arms across his furry chest, the Raccoon pulled a face of disappointment towards his friend’s blunt response, “Don’t ya think, y’know, it’s time to give up on lookin’ for her? She doesn’t wanna be found.”

Rocket’s words were a harsh reality and close to the truth that Quill had tried to block out. If Gamora wanted to be found by any of the team, she would have gotten onto the ship as soon as the battle with Thanos was over. From what any of the crew could gather, Gamora fought her fight, then got back onto a sub-ship of some sort and travelled back to space. It made sense, really. These people where nothing but strangers to her.

“Well,” Peter squinted his eyes for a moment, his forehead creasing over with what could only be described as stress, “What if...she wanted to be found and she just doesn’t know it yet?”

Rocket and Thor both shared the same look of confusion.

“I have to agree with the animal,” Thor sighed, scratching his beard softly, “It seems to me that the maiden doesn’t want to be found. Sorry-“ He burped suddenly, pounding his chest with the palm of his hand. The burp was loud, and nasty, but it made Thor smirk, “Pardon me. Anyway, she doesn’t know you guys. Gamora is from a past that is, I’m afraid to say, very different from our own.”

“What difference does that make?” Quill shook his head, a mixture of sadness and confusion melting into his voice, “If she was our family once, why can’t she be our family again?!”

This wasn’t the Quill that Rocket knew before the whole...snap situation. But then again, Rocket had been without his crew for almost 5 years, so the raccoon knew what it was like to love and lose people of his own. Unfortunately, though, he had to learn the hard way and that moving on was what was best for himself in those dark times. So, naturally, Rocket took it upon himself to make Peter see the bigger picture.

“Look, Quill, you’re actin’ a little sappy now. Even Mantis doesn’t act like this, an’ she’s a hopeless romantic!”

Upon hearing her name, Mantis peered from behind Groot and waved over towards Quill, Rocket and Thor, her eyes glistening and a dazed smile on her face. Rocket looked to her for a moment, his ears going backwards. Then, returning his attention over to towards Peter again, he continued with what he was saying.

“What I’m tryna say is, y’know, maybe it’s for the best if y’move on. I mean, y’got us! We’re still here! Right Groot?”

“I am Groot!”

“I’m going to pretend he didn’t say that,” Quill sighed, aiming the comment over towards Groot and leaning back in his chair, “Also, Rocket, I’m the captain. What I say goes. So if I say we’re going to continue looking for Gamora, then that’s what we’re doing!”

“Well, actually,” Thor stretched his arms upwards towards the sky and hummed out a small laugh, his hands going over towards his stomach and tapping it, “I am the strongest Avenger, so technically, I- Odin’s Beard what is that?!”

The Asgardian’s eyes widened as he saw a figure begin to come towards the Milano at a colossal speed. Whatever the figure was, it was masked and dressed in a coat that was honestly too heavy to be worn when flying through space, if they were flying through space at all. Upon further inspection, the figure looked as though it had been chucked out of something, rather than gone for a flight, because it wore no rocket boots, and had no amount of flying equipment on it.

Sighing, Quill stopped the ship and watched as the figure smushed itself into the front window of the ship. The noise of the window and the figure colliding together boomed through the ship, and Drax awoke from his slumber abruptly, his arms flailing in the air and the Zarg-Nuts in his hand falling to the ground.

“Quill!” He shouted, jumping up from his chair and pointing over to the figure on the glass, “Someone is trying to get on the ship! I have spotted an intruder!!”

“Drax, y’late to the party. Sit down!” Rocket scowled, pointing a finger over towards the Mutate and shaking his head.

Meanwhile, Quill was in silent thought. In pure honesty, this situation reminded him of the moment The Guardians had met with Thor, but something seemed...different. He got up from his chair quietly and pressed on his ear piece, a heavy sigh escaping from his lips.

“Let’s get this show on the road.” He told them all, his face serious before it disappeared behind his mask and he left the ship.

As soon as Quill left the ship, it went silent between the three who were at the front of it. As Drax slowly picked up his bag of Zarg-Nuts from off the floor, he began to crunch into them, the silence being engulfed by the sound of his chewing.

Part 26 - More secrets...

No one's POV....

You laid there now for like 10 minutes, non stop crying. Someone knocked on your house door, nonstop too. You knew exactly who it was, but you didn't want him to see you like this.

"Dest ! Open the door ! Or else I will break it down !", Lokis voice screamed.

You didn't get up, instead you moved your wrist and locked your bedroom door. After 2 more minutes you heard a crash, he really broke the door down.

"Dest ?! Where are you ?!"

You hid yourself under your blanket and pressed your face into your pillow. You heard one door burst open. You guessed it was the kitchen... The door closed again and you heard the next one, maybe the bathroom... Then you heard footsteps coming closer to your bedroom door, suddenly they stop. You listened and heard the door handle moving. You heard Loki huffing.

"Fuck, shit, damn this god for saken Wristband...", you heard him cursing.

You heard the footsteps again, getting away further. Suddenly you heard them again in faster pace. The door burst open, you didn't care much. You cried too much to care about screaming or something.

"Oh, Destiny...", you heard him perfectly.

The next thing was that you heard his footsteps again and after that you felt someone sitting next to you, on your left. You turned to your right and held the blanket for dear life. You felt a hand grab the blanket. You struggled and tried to pull the blanket out of his hand, it was in vain. He pulled it out of your hands and away from your whole body. You grabbed your pillow and pressed it in your face.

"Destiny... Stop that. I saw you cry once before."

"I-I d-don'- t c-c-care !"

Your words were muffled, but he understood you anyway. He sighed, grabbed your pillow and pulled it away from you.

"LOKI !", you screamed at him.

He flinched.

"Calm down... Odin is an idiot.", he said.

"I KNOW that !!", you were angry.

"Hey... I didn't do anything to you. Don't be mad at me, please."

You turned around and looked him in the eyes. He stared back and didn't even realize that you raised your hand, until it was too late. You slapped him across the face. Your eyes were a soft purple, you didn't know what you did. You didn't see Loki in front of you, you saw Odin there. He touched the spot you hit him and winced in pain. He turned his face to you and stared at you. You slowly came back to reality. Odin’s vision disappeared and you saw Loki with a red as fuck cheek. You gasped and looked at your hands.

"No...no no no no no NO ! Not again !"

"What do you mean...'not again' ?", Loki asked.

You jumped out of your bed.

"You should go, Loki.", you told him.

"Not until you tell me what is going on ! What did you mean with 'not again' ?!"

Suddenly everything around you became black.

'It's time that he knows.' - Ratchel

'NO DON'T RATCHEL !!!' - You

'Yes do, Ratchel.' - Ratchel

Ratchel's POV.....

I woke up and saw Loki on the bed. I went around the bed and sat next to him. I looked at him. He was confused.

"That is so weird... Destiny is in the subconscious. I am Ratchel and I will explain what she meant.", I told him.

He nodded. I sighed and started.

"Darko, Destiny, Heiko and Mimi don't really wanna tell you this, because you could be in great danger, but you would be anyways. No matter if you know or not. Darko didn't tell you everything. The others won't either. Once... we had another personality in this body too... From that soul is just the half still in us and the other somewhere out there... They didn't tell you also that a second personality, like Darko, gets created. The name of it will be Villana. It will be a she. The soul that escaped to a half has a name too. Her name is Demiseia. She is trying to take control over Destiny and us. As she slapped you, she had purple eyes. These eyes are Demiseia's. My eye color is red. Mimi's is orange. Darko has almost the same like you. And Destiny and Heiko have green ones. Heiko’s are a little more light green than Destiny’s. These dark blue ones... they are fake."

"Wait, hold up... You try to tell me that, I am in danger, because of that Demiseia, right ?", he asked shocked.

I nodded.

"She will try to kill you, because Destiny and you are close friends. These two fought almost everywhere, every time, for someone's life. She was in New York too. She hoped that I will kill you, but I didn't and we were there too early. She didn't had time to kill you herself. I wouldn't be surprised, if we would find out, that she works with Thanos. She killed people and because they look familiar Destiny got all the fault for her doings. The only 2 things that are different on them are the eye color and Demiseia has a golden stripe in her black hair. She was the reason why we got banished for 352 years. She is like a virus..."

"Virus ?"

"This is something like a disease. Someone who has a virus and touches someone else also gets this disease. and Demiseia is like that. No matter where she is, everyone will dance to her whistle. It is horrible."

"Why don't you kill her ?"

"If we do that, we die too. A half of her is still in us, if we kill her and don't get rid of the part in us first... She comes back or we die too. And just the one, Destiny loves like a lover, can kill the part in us. Even if we hurt her, we get the wound then also. And if someone else does it, it is the same. She is undefeatable. We can't do anything against her. Nobody can. Everything we learn and can... can Demiseia too. If we kill the part of her in us, she has already lost."

"Then who does she love as a lover ?"

"Loki... Demiseia took her love away. She can't love anymore. That is the problem. Destiny broke down so many times... it is a surprise that Demiseia still needs to fight against us. Destiny is strong, but... in danger..."

"How can someone take away love ?"

"Demiseia is a monster. A demon. A being. She can do whatever she pleases. Destiny breaks down... 1 feeling or more get taken. These feelings go over to Demiseia and make her stronger. And Destiny stands on the abyss. Her soul was once rainbow color, now...it's a dark gray. If her soul gets black... she lost the battle and can't control herself anymore."

"That sounds horrible !"

"They wanted to protect you from the truth, that they may never be the same again. On the beginning I was on the same side, but I know the whole time that this, as keeping it as a secret from you, won't help or safe you. But...say nothing to anybody or to her. Talk with Frigga and tell her, that she needs to get Destiny into meditating again. And she should show her no mercy. She needs to remember now ! I will set her memories free, but she needs to meditate to find them."

"YOU blocked her memories ?!"

"I did that to protect her. Odin...you can't trust him anymore. Darko knows that already. Destiny...I don't think she saw it, yet."

"Okay...fine... I won't say anything and talk with Frigga."

I hugged him.

"Thank you. I go now."

And with that everything went black.

No one's POV.....

You came back and gasped. You pulled away from the, oh so good feeling, hug and jumped up. You tried to run away again, but Loki grabbed you by your wrist and pulls you to himself. You lost balance and landed in his lap. He snaked his arms around your stomach and pressed you on his chest. You tried to fight, but couldn't. You felt tears in your eyes again.

"I am here. As long as I am here, nothing will happen to you.", he whispered.

You turned around and moved your legs around him, so that your legs were on each side of him on the bed. You hugged him back and pressed your face into his chest. You cried again.

"Shh. It's alright. I am here.", he whispered.

He held you tight and close to his chest. Just how you needed and liked it. He did that like you both were still best friends. You almost flinched, as you remembered the argument again. After a moment you pulled away.

"Why are you still nice to me ?", you asked.

"What do you mean ?", he looked at you confused.

"I lied. I kept things from you. And you still act like we still were friends. Why don't you scream at me ? Why don't you hit me ? Why don't you hate me ?"

He looked at you hurt.

"Are you afraid of me ?",he asked hurt.

"No ! I was just prepared, that you would do something like that. You now...because you still didn't say if we are friends again or not. Since the argument...", you looked down.

"I thought it was clear, that I accepted.", he said.

"It wasn't, because you didn't smile, hugged, laughed or told me, to make it noticeable !"

You punched him playfully in the shoulder. He chuckled.

"Then I simply forgot. How about I make it up to you ?", he asked.

"And how ?", you asked.

"We go to Frigga and meditate ? You can teach me that. How about that ? And every time I do something wrong, you give me a punishment. Deal ?"

You grinned at him. Like old times.

"Fine. But I won't go easy on you.", you told him.

"Darling, I was at Thanos. How much worse can you be ?", he chuckled.

"We will see, Mischief - boy.", you teased him.

He laughed now. And so you went back to the castle.

THE HIDDEN HEIR

A/N: WAHHHHHH!!! I finally wrote my FIRST EVER fanfic and it's Stucky. I know I'm prob a latecomer to this OTP but give me a chance people. Constructive Criticisms and reviews are welcome but please don't be harsh 'cuz the author is sensetive (translation: crybaby). Also this is just the start of the story and the other later chapters can be found in my A03 acc. Prelude

Earth, year 2335

"OUCHHHHHHH, MAMAAAAA!!!" A little boy with missing baby teeth shouted when his hair is pulled fiercely by someone behind him. A rattled young woman comes to his aid and immediately pulls him to her arms crooning softly.

"Shhh, it’s okay darling. Mama’s here, what happened to you sweetheart?" The woman soothed the distressed child and gently kissed the soft, downy hair of the whimpering boy. The child, feeling incensed pointed accusingly towards another boy. " He pulled my hair mama, it’s ouchie," the accused boy’s eyes widened comically and he shook his head guiltily.

"Didn’t mean ‘ta do it. Jus’ wanna play with ‘ya. Sorry," the guilty boy approached the smaller child and kissed him gently on the cheek.

The mother’s eyes widened and she laughed boisterously, amused by the children’s antics.

"Bucky! Thank Jesus, I was worried about you. Your mother will kill me if you went missing." A relieved looking teenager ran to the trio and pinched the cheeks of the hair pulling boy.

"I was explorin’ and is not my fault you was talking to a girl about boring adult things Will," the young boy pouted balefully and tried to escape the mean pinch of his caretaker.

"Sorry, is he bothering you? I didn’t actually noticed he was gone until a few moments ago. Nasty little bugger," the teenager said towards the woman carefully holding her child.

"No it’s okay, he was just playing here with my boy Steve." The young woman stood up and smiled towards the pouting boy. "I’m Sarah by the way, nice to meet you." The woman added extending her hand towards the teen.

"Oh, I’m Will and this is Bucky. His ma pays me to babysit for him every summer. " The teenager shook the woman’s hand and looked towards the young boy in her arms. "Why’s he sniffling?" He asked and dreaded the answer when Bucky shifted guiltily in front of him.

"Oh it’s just a misunderstanding," the woman smiled and petted the sniffling boy in her arms. The smaller boy, sensing an opportunity for revenge narrowed his eyes and pointed a finger towards Bucky.

"He pulled my hair," Steve acted sad for effect, he’s actually feeling better already but it doesn’t mean that he’ll miss a chance to exact vengeance upon his mortal enemy named Bucky. Who has a name like Bucky anyway? It’s such a funny, weird name.

"Oh my god, I’m so sorry." The teenager grimaced. "Bucky, apologize to Steve immediately," he ordered the boy who glared balefully towards Steve.

" I already did, I was jus’ playin’ anyway." He didn’t know what the small boy is playing at. He already apologized and Will, his gross babysitter pinched his cheek already. What more does the boy want? He looked at Steve and saw that the boy is trying not to smile while Will is giving out to Bucky. Bucky crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes towards the smaller boy. So that’s the game he’s playing, well he shouldn’t have challenged Bucky. He’s the king of the park. Every kid that plays here is under his rule. They follow him. He glared menacingly to Steve and carefully planned his revenge.

While this dramatic exchange is happening the two caretakers exchanged contact details to arrange a playdate between the kids. They also talked about Sarah’s status as a single mother. Apparently, the young woman - Sarah - works as a nurse for a small clinic. Steve’s father died when he was still a year old and she moved to New York to start a new life.

The teenager seeing the time excused himself and his ward. "See you soon Sarah, Steve." He waved goodbye and dragged his ward home.

It was a normal summer day, pretty average. The sunset is nothing spectacular. There wasn’t any special occasion and the weather is not too cold, not too hot. There are trillions of lives in this universe yet not a soul is aware that this day marked the start of a friendship that will travel across the stars and challenge the might of Old World Titans and Outer Gods. When the day ended and two tired little boys are put to sleep, no one noticed two souls reaching out towards each other. One mortal, the other not so much.

Odin woke up with a start, he doesn’t know why he did. He looked at his beautiful wife asleep beside him, perfectly safe. He closed his eyes and checked the wards of the castle. Everything’s okay, where did the pulse of power come from?

Thanos woke up with cold sweat, he feels nervous and afraid. The last time he felt like this, was when his planet was destroyed. He stood up to watch the stars in the viewing deck. Terran time is 4:43, he’s been awake for hours. Morning came and he was still there. Unable to sleep.

Meanwhile, an Ancient Being stirred sensing It’s equal.

Unforeseen Chasm (Part 19)

Prompt: Two sisters fall for men that are absolute enemies. The love they have could tear all of them apart, or it could bring them together.

Word Count:837

Warnings: Language, fighting,self hatred

Note: This is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written (including my novels). It’s a collaboration with the amazing @mrs-dragneel-stark-solo. It started as a funny “What if…?” and it evolved and got huge. This took two years to write. We are both proud and happy and we hope you enjoy it. It follows from Thor 1 to Endgame in the MCU. Some of the timelines may be off in order to fit certain people, and some characters may show up earlier or in different ways than they have in the movie. But for the most part, it follows the MCU. It also has a bit of crossover with some other Marvel characters throughout the story.

“She’s right you know,” Loki said with a solemn voice.

“Yeah? About what?” you asked in an exhausted tone. You hung your head and rubbed your forehead as you leaned against one of the armchairs.

“About only knowing me a year,” he said.

“Yes, Loki, I can do math, thank you,” you sarcastically responded.

He stood and looked at you, slight anger glinting in his eyes. “That’s not what I mean and you know it. You have known me for a year and you went along with this, with all of it, for me. Why?”

“Because I love you, that’s why, you know that.”

“I’m worth losing your family, your friends, your freedom?” he asked, curiosity and challenge in his voice as he slowly kept stepping forward.

“Yes. You are. I’m in love with you and I’ve never loved anyone more. If she would’ve just listened to me--”

“You didn’t really give her a chance, darling. If you didn’t want to do any of this, why did you?” he asked, begging.

Your eyes drifted up to them, anguish in them as Loki’s screams from the past twelve months echoed in your head. “Because I couldn’t lose you. He told me it was either you or Earth. Earth will recover. I knew Shannon and them wouldn’t get hurt, not fatally. They’re all too strong. If I didn’t think they’d survive this I wouldn’t have agreed to it.”

“And me? You think I’m… ‘too far gone’?”

You sighed and stood, caressing his bruised cheeks with both of your hands. “I think Thanos did some real damage that we need to repair. You need to remember how much Thor loves you, and how much Odin loved you. Yes, his motives may have been misguided in taking you, but he raised you as his own. He could’ve shackled you. He could’ve killed you. But he raised you side by side with Thor. Frigga only sent me to Earth to protect me. We have to fight to get that monster out of our heads.”

“Why? What good will it do us in here?” he asked in a low voice, peering down at you. Failure, anger, betrayal all swimming in his eyes.

“For our own peace of mind, our own closure. We can’t let that hideous man steal away the love we had for our families. That’s what he wanted. While we were under his thumb, and his command, yes, we could do that. We could pretend to hate the people we truly loved. But no more. He is not here, and he does not scare me.”

“I’m not sure I can fight him,” he confessed, tears forming in his eyes. He was never this vulnerable, not really. You’d only seen him like this maybe twice. Once when you were talking before the fall, and once immediately after when you’d been taken. In the first month, you were dealt the equal amount of torture Loki was, but Loki begged to take the brunt of your suffering and to leave you alone. Only then did you see tears. “I have so much hate in me.”

“Then we’ll just have to combat that with love,” you cooed before kissing him tenderly.

“Jesus Christ, what happened, Rogers?” Tony demanded as Steve walked in, carrying Shannon bridal style.

“I don’t really know,” he confessed.

“Quick, get her in the clinic,” Tony instructed, showing the way there. “Is she okay?”

“She’s just weak, I think,” Steve answered.

Steve placed Shannon on one of the tables in the clinic where two doctors were already working on Nat and Clint. Nat pushed one of them off her and commanded them to help Shannon instead.

Shannon lay silently, staring at the ceiling while doctors worked on her. Bruce began reading her vitals and trying to ensure her mutation had not changed into anything malicious.

“Shannon? Baby? Talk to me,” Tony pleaded from her bedside but she simply stared, tears rolling down her cheeks. “Rogers, I wanna know what happened, now,” Tony snapped as soon as he straightened up and faced Steve.

“She and Y/N… They had a fight. A big one.”

“You let her go in there?!” Tony demanded, his eyes wide as he pointed to his girlfriend.

“Not that kind of fight, Tony,” Steve said, waving off Tony’s anger. “They just yelled at each other through the glass mainly. Y/N said she and Loki were under the mind control of someone but Shannon didn’t believe it. They basically went ‘round and ‘round until finally Y/N said she did it all for Loki.”

Tony stared at him for a moment, befuddled. “A guy? People died over a guy? I almost died for some stupid crush?” he asked, disbelieving, his rage growing white hot. “I’ll kill them,” he proclaimed before turning, his teeth grinding.

Shannon raised her arm and simply said, “No.”

Tony could not deny her request, nor did he want to leave her in the state she was in, so he stayed, trying to forget his fury.
