How to get your life together : a guide

1) Make a list of goals you want to achieve, if you don’t you’re going to forget about them. It could be yearly goals, it could be monthly goals or both (even better). Just write them down and put them somewhere you can see them every day. Also don’t forget about the smart rule :
Specific (simple, sensible, significant).
Measurable (meaningful, motivating).
Achievable (agreed, attainable).
Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).
Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).
2) Choose habits which will lead your towards your goals. You want to be a the top of your class ? Start by actually completing your homework, assignments and by paying attention in class. You want strong and healthy hair ? Stop using heat every day and start a hair care routine. Yes, it is that simple trust me.
3) Starts adding those habits to your daily life and be realistic. For exemple, if you want to achieve your dream body start exercising and eating healthy. You want to keep those achievable and enjoyable : if you used to never step away from your couch for too long, you are not going to exercise 5 times a week right away. Start small, start with maybe twice a week and then add more when you feel ready.
4) Stop making excuses. You cannot reach your goals if you find excuses to stay home and do nothing such as « I will start on Monday » or « I am a bit tired today so I’ll just rest ». Don’t, if you really are motivated you will start right now and won’t skip your workout. The less you do, the less you wanna do.
5) Remind yourself why you wanna reach those goals and motivate yourself. You cannot solely rely on motivation, you have to create it yourself. Make vision boards of you dream life and ask yourself why you want to get out of your actual situation. If you already feel miserable and lazy in your every day life it won’t hurt to at least try, right ?
6) Enjoy the steps. That one is the most important. If you feel like completing a workout is torture, you will last a week or two tops. If doing your skin care or a daily walk feels boring, you will stop doing it. Try making those interesting by watching a movie or listening a podcast at the same time, find a workout you’re actually able to enjoy.
7) Finally : enjoy your results. If you’ve kept up the work for months, even weeks you will see them. People will start praising you about your hair, your skin… You will be able to see those changes yourself when you look at your body or at your grades. You will also be more confident because when you decide to put in the work and get results, you will be so proud of yourself I can assure you that.

Genshin characters x a reader with ADHD!
Summary: Your ADHD is odd, however, your (boy)friend is just as strange, so you think it evens out.
Or, how the genshin characters react to a reader with ADHD. (Ft some lesser known aspects of ADHD)
Featuring: Tighnari, Venti, Xiao & Albedo. Can be read as romantic or platonic.
A/n: it's frankly criminal how few neurodivergent reader content there is out there so here I am.
Disclaimer!! While I do have ADHD nobody’s ADHD is the same, so what might be common for me is something another person has never experienced.
Also I drop some lesser known aspects of ADHD in this post so here’s a general index of what those terms mean. It’s a lot more nuanced than what I’ve written down here but it’ll give you a general idea of the concept!
Index:
Executive dysfunction/ADHD paralysis: Wanting to do your job/work, but it feels like you’re physically unable to.
Food sensory issues/selective eating habits: A lot of people with ADHD are ‘picky eaters’ and refuse to eat certain foods even if it's good for them. Usually we pick foods with high sugar since it causes a ‘dopamine surge’.
Auditory processing disorder (APD): Having difficulty making out what someone is saying or processing what someone said too slowly.
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD): Being much more sensitive to rejection or perceived rejection.
Verbal stim: Exactly the same as other stims (Like bouncing your leg or clicking a pen) but just with words. Usually being a certain phrase, sentence, or humming. Although any vocalization can be a verbal stim.

Tighnari
Probably the most knowledgeable about this out of everyone on this list.
He knows it's not just 'lose your focus fast' and that ADHD is a lot more nuanced than that but at the same time he isn't an expert on it.
You'll have to explain some things to him, and knowing Tighnari, he'd happily let you tell him.
Mf takes notes. If he gets too excited and overwhelmes you tell him so he'll calm down a little lmao
Downside of him knowing a lot about (your) ADHD is that he knows when you need to cut back on some things.
If you're a very picky eater like me and don't like the taste/texture of healthy food he will literally not allow it LMAO
You'll be eating an excessive amount of sugar and he'll literally snatch whatever is in your hands and tell you to eat something healthy instead. And no, you cannot convince him to give it back to you until further notice.
If you hate the texture of actual healthy food he’ll definitely find an alternative for you to eat no matter how long it takes. You are not getting out of this.
In the nicest way possible… Tighnari is probably a little annoyed about your ADHD sometimes 💀💀💀
He never blames you or gets mad at you because he knows it's not your fault when this does or doesn't happen but he's still a bit miffed about it lmao.
Like when your auditory processing disorder suddenly kicks in and you make him repeat himself ten times. Or how you space out during his lectures.
However, Tighnari is smart so he'd definitely find a way to gain your attention so when he tells you things you can actually pay attention.
He's pretty good at wrangling your executive dysfunction, too (he's used to Collei having similar problems when he's tutoring her). He believes in the work/reward system and he always knows what'll make you actually get up to do what you're supposed to.
Usually by using your current hyper fixation/interests against you LMAO
"Do that assignment/task and I'll take you out to get that merch you've been wanting for over a month."
"YOU WILL!?"
(If you like soft things like his ears, he would absolutely use it as bait for you to do your work also LMAO)
But if it's a really rough day he knows when to dial back on his constant nagging for you to do your work and encourages you to take it easy for the day.
If you're like me and forget things semi-regularly he'd always remind you. Especially if it's an outing/meeting with someone.
(Although, if you're the type of person to get annoyed by it he'll stop/dial it back if you ask.)

Can be overstimulated by loud noises easier than others.
Seriously though you both are at a loud party or something and look over to each other giving each other the 'why are we here? Just to suffer'? Look.
But if either of you are about to/are overstimulated you leave the area with each other to calm down. It's sweet 💖
He was originally a bit annoyed by how easily your mind wandered or how quickly you jumped from topic to topic but got used to it after a while. It even grew on him, he finds it endearing nowadays.
Always loves to hear you talk about your hyper fixation, seeing you so happy makes him happy too.
(And you best believe you'll be listening to that boy's flower talk. You think you know more than most rangers about the flora in Teyvat than they do. He's cute though, and you love hearing him talk about it as well, so really it's a win-win scenario.)
Mean this in the nicest way possible, but.. Tighnari is probably going to make you feel really bad once or twice on accident LMAO
With this tough love nature and your Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria you sometimes can't tell when he's being sarcastic/playful and/or he didn't mean what he said (or simply didn't understand.)
He almost always realizes right away and reassures you he meant no harm, and you believe him, but you're understandably still a bit upset LOL
He always makes it up to you, though <3
And if you ever get mad at yourself about how easily you get upset he's always there to reassure you that it's okay and you shouldn't bash your emotions like that, even if they're irrational.
He's your free therapist /j
Was originally confused when you started verbally stimming around him before you explained that to him as well. As long as it's not unexpectedly loud, he doesn't mind it and if you ever stop for a long period of time he def gets a bit upset 💀 like 'why'd you stop?? Did something happen??'
And if you stim in a way that hurts you he definitely puts a stop to it right away. Usually by offering you alternative ways to stim in ways that don't make you hurt yourself.

Venti
"Oh you mean like the thing where you can't sit still?"
Hit him.
But really, Venti doesn’t quite understand what ADHD is all that much. He’s heard the term before but never really cared to figure out what it means. You’ll have to educate him on it before he understands.
Honestly he’s kind of surprised at how much more there is to ADHD than he originally thought. Like damn your brain works against you like that?? You deal with that DAILY?? Damn bitch you live like this? /lh
… But also he unironically kind of finds it funny.
“I can’t believe your brain will go to such lengths to not do work just because it doesn’t like it.”
“Shut up.”
Sorry, but Venti is a tease at heart and he cannot hold himself back. Although, if he sees you genuinely upset by what he said he’ll apologize.
Despite that Venti is actually really good at helping you if you need it. He never gets annoyed if he has to repeat himself a dozen times or if he has to help you get something done, or if he has to calm you down for any reason.
If your ADHD is keeping you from falling asleep Venti always offers to sing you to sleep, it’s up to you if you decide to accept or not. (He’ll be very pouty if you decline though lol)
If you're like me and have lost items right in front of you (once I lost an item I was looking for for a good fifteen minutes. It was in my hand.) Venti can and will tease you about this.
"Hmm~ I don't know… Where did you see it last?" You could basically hear the laugh in his voice.
Once you do find it in a really obvious spot he will then laugh out loud. Just joke about breaking up with/leaving him and he'll quickly be on his knees apologizing
If one of your vocal stims is humming/singing anytime Venti catches wind of it he's definitely singing along with you. It turns into a karaoke in seconds and you're both laughing and smiling by the end of it.
He’s surprisingly one of the most understanding people on this list. No matter what, he'll always be there for you and somehow always knows how to help. You asked him about that and he said,
“Well, a magician can never reveal their secrets.”
“You’re not a magician, though. You’re a bard.”
“Then how is it that I stole your heart?”

Although there is one aspect he’s not great at steering you away from only because he’s also bad at steering himself away from it.
Impulsive tendencies.
Did you impulsively buy something? What a coincidence. Venti did something similar just seconds ago. Did you leave the group you were with because something caught your eye? Venti is right beside you, also looking for whatever caught your attention. Did you say something without really thinking about it? Venti just did the same somewhere across the room.
You guys are almost in sync for impulsive decision making no matter how far apart you two may or may not be.
On multiple occasions you’ve both run to each other in a panic after you both impulsively did something you shouldn’t have.
“Venti, help! I just entered a competition I know nothing about and it starts tomorrow afternoon!”
“Y/n, help! I just promised I’d do something I definitely shouldn’t!”
You both look at each other in panic and internally scream.

Xiao
Unlike Venti, Xiao hasn’t the slightest clue what ADHD is. He literally has no concept of mental disabilities and genuinely just thought some people had a harder time with things, not that their brain is wired differently.
Before you tell him he’ll see you stimming sometimes or notice you say certain words or phrases multiple times and just shrugs it off as ‘human things’. Same could be said for most of your ADHD shenanigans.
It was a blessing and a curse since he wouldn’t judge you for any of them, however if something like your executive dysfunction kicked in he’d probably think you’re being lazy 💀💀
You’d have to have a long sit-down talk about your ADHD and everything that goes on with it before he understands and can help you with it.
Even if you’re like me and your explanation skills are about as clear as muddy water he’d likely at least get the gist of it.
Now listen, Xiao is a harsh person by nature but once you tell him about your rejection sensitive dysphoria and what it means he’s probably looking back on anytime he was even slightly mean to you and worrying about if he accidentally hurt you.
Reassure him that even if he did hurt you, it’s in the past now and he knows to do better now.
Boy is much softer to you after that talk, even if he won’t admit it. He's the one least likely to accidentally hurt you with words out of everyone.
Xiao didn’t- and frankly, still kinda doesn’t- know a lot about humans before he met you, so he’s learning as he goes. Which means that at the beginning he’s going to be really awkward with comforting/helping you.
He’s trying though! And if you tell him how to help either before or after something like your executive dysfunction starts acting up, he’ll… still be a little awkward, if i’m being honest, but it helps much more than before you told him anything. The more he gets used to your ADHD the easier it’ll be for him to help you with it.
It becomes easier over time for both of you and Xiao slowly grows a ‘sixth sense’ if something is wrong.
Forgot something at the house? Xiao is already handing it to you as you turn around to go and grab it. Impulsive did something you probably shouldn’t have? Xiao is suddenly there to calm you down and do damage control. Your brain suddenly refusing to process what someone said? Xiao breaks down what they said so you can fully process it.
Seriously, bring him grocery shopping with you. He'll remember things you didn't even put on the list.
You wonder how Xiao got this power and Xiao also wonders how he got this power but he isn’t complaining. If he can help you in any way, he will.
"Hey, you forgot your lunch. I don't want you going hungry while I'm gone..."
Tease him about how he's acting like a caregiver and watch him turn red.

Albedo
He didn't know much about ADHD before he met you if he was being honest.
He knew more than Venti and Xiao but less than Tighnari, so you won't have to explain as much as you did with the previous two!
He finds it very intriguing, although he is the chief alchemist and human psychology has little to nothing to do with that, he finds himself listening to everything you have to say about it.
He knew humans learned in different ways but he didn't know how nuanced all of it was.
Just like Tighnari this guy is taking notes, although he's a bit calmer than Tighnari was lmao
"Fascinating. I knew humans were complex creatures, but this is much more nuanced than I originally anticipated."
Just like with Xiao, even if your explanation skills are less than ideal, Albedo still gets what you mean.
Seriously, he will pry every detail that you know about it out of you to the point that the conversation has already passed three hours and neither of you noticed.
He's asking questions you didn't even think of and you've known you've had ADHD for years.
Unfortunately, you often have to disappoint him with the fact that there's not exactly an abundance of information on mental illness/disabilities and that he'd likely have to find out for himself.
Even after that Albedo still asks you questions about your ADHD sometimes which you can either quickly answer or it takes ten minutes of pondering to figure it out.
He waits for you tho <3

What the fuck is a social cue
You're usually at least a little better at spotting them than Albedo is, but it's still something you both struggle with 💀💀💀
Difference is that while you may try to apologize, Albedo just doesn't care.
He lives on a cold mountain, it's only natural that he has bad people skills. (He just like me fr fr)
In the nicest way possible the first few times you impulsively make a decision/have Executive dysfunction/etc Albedo will definitely say smthn like, "Oh, so this is what it looks like." 💀
Mf is lucky he's cute.
Afterwards though he'll help in any way he can. Which, of course means, any way alchemy can.
You're surprised at how useful all the things he made for you are, and you're grateful for that man making them for you every day.
All of Albedo's previous note-taking and observations of any bad habits you have because of your ADHD ended up with him being able to handle your bad habits better than you can 💀
Buddy is too smart for his own good.
You're taking notes from him at this point. You'd be a little offended that he knows more about your mental disability than you do but honestly if it helps you manage it better you'll take it with open arms.
While you're in his laboratory he likes hearing about you info dump about your hyper fixation. It's better background noise than the howling winds outside and you look adorable while talking about it. That's a win-win for him.
(Although like Tighnari, you'll also hear about his own experiments. Even if you're not really processing the information Albedo appreciates that you're trying)
If you're more creatively inclined he'll occasionally ask for your help if he's stuck on a project to see if you can think of something he hasn't yet. Even if you don't he says your input helps (translation: he likes hearing your voice and opinions)
Out of everyone on this list he's the least baffled about your odd habits. Man's is so unbothered by everything it's kinda funny.
The only thing he's worried about is when you look after Klee alone… he trusts the both of you to be able to take care of yourselves, but Klee is impulsive by herself. And if you're also impulsive it could lead to tragedy.
"You're aware the acting grand master is trying to stop Klee's habit of fish blasting, correct?"
"Well, maybe the acting grand master should try fish blasting herself! It's not our fault it's so fun!"

any tips/advice for someone who is not catholic who wants to participate in lent? like how to choose what to give up etc?
Cheers to not letting Catholics have a monopoly on Lent, beloved! Last year I answered a similar ask that might be helpful. Here are the thoughts I have right now!
[CW: discussion of eating/fasting in italics] My most important note/disclaimer: Fasting is not for everyone. It is a beautiful tradition (for Catholics and non-Catholics) that can change people's lives, but if it's going to be a part of your practice, do it on purpose, knowing yourself. It inherently changes your relationship with food--and for people who have always had enough to eat, who have never struggled with disordered eating, who have never been seriously ill, there can be a solidarity and new perspective in fasting, in realizing how sensory experiences and comfort and mortality go together, how privileged you are to have the choice to go hungry. But for those who have struggled with food insecurity, or have lived through/live with eating disorders/disability/illness, or any other experience/relationship with food/the body that changes your perspective, fasting will often be a re-traumatizing or triggering practice that doesn't change your perspective so much as reinforce unhealthy ones. Something I think about: why fast if you cannot feast? Lenten fasting brings us to Easter feasting--if that's not accessible to you, if that wouldn't be joyful or affordable or healthy, fasting probably isn't either. Okay, all that said:
There is so much diversity in what a Lenten practice can look like, and I can't tell you what will be most meaningful for you, but I'll give you some ideas and some questions that have been helpful for me to ask myself! Lent existed way before the Catholic/Protestant divide, and exists among so many diverse communities, and there is a path here for you if you want one.
"Giving up something" is the most common language used for Lent--fasting technically refers to anything abstained from--and generally that's really useful! Jesus's forty days in the wilderness was time that he had nothing but God, and during Lent we can get closer to that experience. I give things up not as punishment or a test of self-control (those ideas trigger unhealthy behavior patterns for me), but as a letting go of something that is in my life but doesn't need to be, and may deserve reconsidering. Sometimes it's a bad habit, but sometimes it's just a conscious allowing of my life to grow simultaneously smaller and bigger. There is space for grief during Lent, but we're not just making ourselves feel bad--I've never found forced emotions to be spiritually helpful. Emotions come and go--we're doing this on purpose, and whatever we feel about it, we make space for that.
Ideas of things to give up:
eating out/getting coffee/buying drinks/little treats
impulse buying/nonessentials (you could pick a category, like clothes, or go all out)
alcohol/drugs/smoking (if this would be starting a recovery journey, I am not the person to ask for advice on that but please do seek help)
social media (you could choose one app to give up, or set time limits--it doesn't have to be all or nothing)
scrolling-on-your-phone time before bed/another time when you get sucked in
another form of casual entertainment (like TV/video games--again, you can limit this rather than cutting it out)
sexual activity (I talked about this here)
makeup/other appearance-related thing (I must confess I have considered doing this and always chickened out. I know that's because it would force me to rethink too many things, which is a probably a sign I should do it one of these years.)
a social habit, like gossiping or getting into arguments online
overscheduling/not having rest days (this is often unavoidable, but rest is necessary and holy, and perhaps this is the season for sacrifice in honor of rest)
single-use plastics/another environmental choice
Note: I don't think any of these things are inherently bad things. This is a list of things we can change/investigate our relationship with or have a season without them as a distraction, not things I think we shouldn't be doing or we should feel bad about.
One of the most important things I've realized is that so often I have given something up and not done anything about it. Like I didn't watch TV for forty days and was mad about it and then Lent was over and I watched TV again. Perhaps this strengthened my self-discipline, or made my life better in a way known only to God, but ultimately nothing happened. I didn't consciously do anything else, I didn't learn anything.
Now, when I give up something, I purposely do something with whatever space it leaves. If I'm not watching TV, what am I going to do when I would usually watch TV? Am I gonna pray? go to bed earlier? call my grandmother? Am I gonna cancel my Netflix subscription for a couple months and donate that saved money? Or maybe I'm gonna give up watching mindless TV, and find stories that resonate and make me think. Don't give things up to check a box, but to reexamine your relationship with them, make everyday things sacred, fill the space/time/money/energy you now have with God, and ultimately to set this time apart.
The other way of looking at Lent practices is things you can add. Often, as I mentioned, they go together--you can pair up something you're no longer buying with somewhere to donate to, or give up an activity and replace it with a new one. I always caution against Lent-as-self-improvement--obviously I can support improving our habits, but I've seen too many people use Lent to restart their new year's workout plans, and while exercise can be a way to care for ourselves, if new year's and Lent are treated the exact same way, what's different about this season? What makes this Lent?
One of the questions I've been asking myself recently is: What are you gonna do about it? When I'm investigating a belief, or learning something new, or reframing an old thought process, I ask myself: What am I gonna do about it? Lent is a path to Holy Week--something I and many others commemorate as the week when God was put on trial and literally killed. I genuinely believe God died and was resurrected--how does this affect my life? Believing something like that and not letting it change you is, to me, inauthentic. When I'm considering a belief, I think, if this were true, how would it change me? Would it lead me to Love? Lent (and Christianity itself) over and over asks us to do something about what we say we believe. Faith without works is dead--and faith is a work, something I do.
It's almost Lent, which is preparation for the Resurrection, which fundamentally changes our understanding of what it means to be alive--so what are you gonna do about it? Not because doing something will make God love you more or make you a "better person," or even because you'll succeed or change your life, but because how can we not? We are of course welcome at Easter having done nothing, but I can't imagine knowing what's coming and not letting it change me.
Ideas of things to add to our lives:
start a prayer/Bible routine--I can now wholeheartedly recommend (as a Protestant who connects with ancient traditions but not always Catholicism) Phyllis Tickle's Divine Hours books! For Bible study, I like The Bible Project's videos.
read a book--it can be anything that connects you with God! (I had a lovely experience with Lenten Lord of the Rings last year, and this year I'm properly going through the Quran)
pick a subject to research (theological or anything else)
start to attend worship services or commit to attending more--this could include going to several different places if you don't currently belong to a church
research places to volunteer for or donate to
do something politically active, like calling your representatives, researching the next local election, or attending a protest
donate to the next [insert number here] posts you see online requesting mutual aid
start a physical practice like taking a walk or stretching
write a letter or call someone regularly, especially with people you've been wanting to connect with more or have unresolved conflict with
start/commit to more regular therapy/other health treatment
ask for help--maybe you're the one who needs mutual aid, or reaching out to, or support cleaning your house or with your kids. there is no shame in this.
These are all obviously things we can be doing year round, and certainly we can use Lent as a season to start something we want to keep with us! I'd also encourage us to have something that's only present during Lent, or something that we do more or in a different way.
You asked how to choose, and I don't have a one sentence answer to that (...obviously), but perhaps in these days before Lent you can look at your routine/habits, the places where God is present, the things you do to distract yourself from life (not a crime--just something to be mindful of), and you can see where Lent might be able to come in and change you. The thing that's nagging at you that you know might be helpful, the thing you're not in control of and just do, the time you take up or the money you spend that might not be bad but also doesn't lead you anywhere. We can't expect every aspect of our lives to be purposeful and present, or to be continuously improving ourselves (in fact, that sounds terribly stressful and unsustainable)--but we can look around us. We can have a season that looks different because everyone I've ever known has a brain that craves ritual in some way--and either we do it on purpose, or we fall into it. Do something (or don't do something) a little more on purpose this season.
Another think to think about is what Sundays will look like for you--the "forty days" don't count them. There's no fasting on Sundays--my mom says every Sunday is a little Easter. "Sundays in Lent" is such an interesting concept because it's very much Lent, but the rhythm of our weeks breaks through. When I give up soda, I'll have one as a celebration on Sundays, but a prayer/reading practice I'll continue through. It's up to you and depends on what your rhythm/habits ask of you.
Ultimately, let God interrupt you. Let Them seep in the cracks of everything you do and let go of. To be loved is to be changed. Even the smallest thing--like wearing a cross necklace every day--can cause our lives to be filled with noticing God's presence. I keep saying to do this on purpose, but know that I find Them much more often by accident.
And an obligatory note: starting Lent late, stopping your practice halfway through, not meeting a goal, whatever comes up--Easter still comes for you. Lent is for paying attention, for making space, not for perfection.
I also want to add that while a lot of Lenten practices (including most I've mentioned here) tend to be personal, ultimately what is asked of us is interpersonal. We make space in our life and be more present in the name of Love--which we cannot do alone. If a practice is not specifically about other people (like volunteering/donating), ask yourself how it will serve the ways you love others? This isn't a trick question, just something to think about. Personally, my study of the Quran this season will connect me with my Muslim siblings through time and enable me to more fully love the Muslims around me, and my rhythm of the divine hours will connect me with the wider Christian community and center me as I go about my day, allowing me to be more present in my relationships.
Easter comes whether we're ready or not--and I don't think we can be ready. But we can look at the small parts of ourselves, set this time apart, see what we can change our relationship with, and perhaps when Easter comes, we will every year have come that much closer to understanding what it means to live out the resurrection by honoring the death that came first.

He wears a lot of jewelry, but it's classy never flashy. Several rings, one of which is engraved with an 'A' for Antonio. Usually wearing at least a solid gold chain and a crucifix.

He smokes like a chimney, high quality cigars and cheap cigarettes. If you ask him to put it out he will blow it right at you. This is on top of heavy cologne (Versace Eros) so you can smell him from a mile away.
Certified Short King™, maybe around 5'7? I can see him with almost any sort of physique, that being said I don't think he's a twink, he at least has some wiry strength. He's lean but solidly built, maybe even has some pudge esp as he ages?
He's very warm toned. His skin is a light olive, not pale yet not quite bronze. He tans well but isn't tan all year round. Honestly he probably uses tanning beds during winter lmao
He's got a fair amount of body hair and often leaves his shirts unbuttoned to display this, intentionally or not. He's a sharp dresser when out in public, but at home he sits around in sweat stained tanks and boxers.
He loves his red wine, and apertifs. Grappa or Sambuca for something a stronger. Doesn't mind the taste of hard liquor at all. Definitely holds his alcohol better than his brother or Antonio.
Loves sailing and yachting, leisure sports. Has a bit of a gambling habit. Not to a destructive point, just in good fun.
When he's in a good mood he hums to himself and you might even catch him singing if he thinks he's alone.
Dances to Dean Martin in the kitchen with Antonio. He actually likes cooking together. Normally he'd be the type of person to hate others in his space while doing something, but Toni is an equally talented chef so he allows it.
Makes a big pot of sauce and polpette on Sundays. Italians will know. Eats wayyyy too much meat than is healthy. You can pry his salumi out of his cold dead hands.
He's sensitive and not always rational - the type to make mountains out of molehills and deflect real issues with humour. Explosive temper. Born to argue. Quick to throw insults (and hands). Just as quick to forgive and forget. If he holds a grudge you really fucked up.
If he likes you, he'll tease you and call you names. If he doesn't, he won't bother to talk to you much. He likes to fuck with people to an extent but has little patience for unnecessary conversation.
He can be extremely condescending; and to Tonio exclusively, extremely sweet. He's a smooth talker and romantic when he feels like it, laying on the pet names and sweet nothings, especially when he wants something in return.
He's honest and loyal, but generally a very private person. It's difficult to earn his trust and get on his good side but once you have it you're one of the lucky few. He's hospitable and generous and often does that for show. Loves to give meaningful and lavish gifts. If he cares about someone not only will they be spoiled in a material sense, but he'll do favors for them to make their life easier.
(note: this might be controversial re; accuracy but i don't actually have beef with his canon human name. 'lovino isn't a real name' well yes and no. it's not common or representative. but there's so much variety in italian naming that it certainly could be a first name. according to forebears there are 259 ppl named lovino on record but only 9 are in italy lol. or u could just call him ~romano~ which is a more popular human first name. i kinda like lovino, its unique.)

- i have a personal headcanon that wolfwood has a dad bod! he has a cute little tummy that he can’t seem to shake, and he’s overall soft all around. (his thighs especially awwoooooogaaaa…)
- wolfwood thinks body fat is sexy as hell. unlike vash, he’s a bit more handsy and almost perverted (respectfully though. if you are ever uncomfortable with it he stops IMMEDIATELY.)
- he likes to pinch your sides, slap your ass, pinch at your rosy cheeks, and he constantly has an arm slung around your shoulders or waist. he physically cannot keep his hands off of you.
- when the gang gets a hotel for the night, you and wolfwood usually stay in the same room together. wolfwood loves watching you come out of the shower, towel wrapped around you, water beading down you in the most enticing way. wolfwood has to excuse himself for a while.. wink wink!
- wolfwood is extremely protective of you. if he hears ANYONE mention a backhanded comment on your body, he is throwing hands. he will absolutely destroy them, and he won’t even blink an eye. he’s so crazy for you, and he isn’t afraid to show that.
- if he catches you skipping meals or under feeding yourself, he gets protective again. he’ll give you a stern look, sit you down, and force you to eat. it isn’t the BEST way, but he isn’t good at emotions, especially sappy ones. he’ll do anything to see you eat, even if it makes him look desperate. (he is by the way.)
- he’ll offer to do anything for you to eat. he’ll offer to spoon feed you, offer you a distraction so you can eat without a worry, anything. nothing is too big of a request if it means you’ll eat and be healthy.
MILLIONS KNIVES ;
- knives does not care about your body shape, at all. he thinks all humans are pitiful, all of their shapes and sizes are irrelevant to him. (he is in love with you…)
- knives, a lot like his brother, especially likes chubby people. he doesn’t admit it, but you can tell.
- you can tell by the way he looks at you, the way his gaze lingers on you. one thing about you that he especially likes is your stretch marks. your marks remind him of his marks, and he undeniably really likes it. if you’ll allow it, he likes to run his fingers across your stretch marks.
- knives doesn’t understand human beauty standards. he doesn’t understand the dislike around stretch marks, cellulite, big thighs, a big tummy, etc etc. knives sees those things as irrelevant to him.
- knives isn’t a man who relies on actions to express himself, and if he catches you not eating he won’t confront you at all. you will, however notice more small snacks placed in your room on your nightstand. the snacks are always ones that you’re particularly fond of, some of them being your favorite. if he sees you eating them, you’ll notice a small smile playing on his lips.
LIVIO THE DOUBLE FANG ;
- LIVIO IS CHUBBY! HE’S A BIG BOY!!!!!! SZA WROTE THAT SONG ABOUT HIM AND HIM ONLY!!!!!!
- livio is a softie, he’s such a softie for you. just looking at you makes him weak in the knees and suddenly feeling really hot. he is smitten for you, everything about you. livio could care less about you being bigger, he loves you regardless of any physical traits!
- livio is very easily flustered around you, no matter what you’re wearing. you could wear a trashbag out to dinner, and livio will be on his knees worshipping you (as usual.) he doesn’t have any favorite clothes he likes to see you in, but his favorite thing is when you’re confident and comfortable. no matter what you wear, he will be a flustered mess, sputtering out flushed compliments as he looks everywhere but you because you’re so breathtaking.
- livio loves when you wear things that make you feel good! he thinks confident is the sexiest thing in the world, especially on you. livio is intimidating to people who don’t know him, so even if you wear the most revealing thing, nobody will say anything.
- if he notices you skipping meals, he comforts you in anyway that you need. he’ll hold you to his chest, rocking you back and forth. he lets you cry, scream, whatever you need to do to feel better. when you’re ready to eat, livio will eat with you. he’ll do anything to make sure you feel good, holding your hand, letting you sit with him on the couch, nothing is too big of a request for him (especially if it means seeing you happy.)
RAZLO THE TRI-PUNISHER OF DEATH ;

- razlo is like wolfwood but he’s so much more perverted and extroverted with it, he finds you so undeniably sexy.
- razlo is definitely a thigh and ass man. he loves slapping and squeezing your ass (with your consent of course.), and he especially loves squeezing your thighs.
- seeing you in shorts drives this man fucking wild. he will be so distracted, eyes constantly drawn to your ass and thighs as he dumbly nods and mumbles in reply. good luck talking to him because it takes him a good few minutes to even register your words, and then a few extra words to even get his words out.
- if anyone comments on your body, razlo will beat the shit out of them. he literally doesn’t care, he will destroy them. no one shit talks you like that.
- if he notices you’re skipping meals or eating less, this is when his soft side really shows for the first time. he’s an emotional softie.
- he’ll run his hands up and down your body, but with no sexual intent (at that moment.) he takes his sweet time as he presses kisses to every spot on your body. he traces his fingers on your stretch marks, and all the while he’s mumbling out praises. they’re not over the top praises, but ones like “you’re so sexy”, etc. (he’s not a softie like vash)
LEGATO BLUESUMMERS ;
(im just gonna say, i didnt like legato until i read his backstory on the wiki and now im like really sad……)
- legato is canonically gluttonous which is kinda teehee (love me a man with a big appetite)
- he appreciates someone with a big appetite its really attractive to him. he especially loves if you love food as much as he does, and you get even more points if you can COOK. legato will be at the table with a fork and knife and napkin tucked into his shirt for your food TT
- legato genuinely loves your body. everything you wear is incredibly sexy to him, it makes him insane. he’s that meme where its like “wear whatever you want, i can fight.”
- legato is so genuinely mesn to people who shit talk you. he’ll gently guide you away and use his power things whatever to snap their BONES BRO!!!!
- he’s not an affectionate or sentimental guy at all. if he catches you not eating, he will ask you to cook for him. while you’re cooking, he’ll slyly make comments about how he’s “so excited to share a meal together”, implying he wants you to eat with him.
- if you’re still not eating, legato will be like “this tastes good. here, try some.” and bring a forkful to your lips. he will make sure you take a bite, and another, and another, until his plate is gone. even if he doesnt get to eat, seeing you healthy is like the sweetest dessert.

WIBTA if I tell my aunt to stop feeding my cat?
A cat showed up and moved into my house last year, and I have been caring for her since then. And I have been taking this very seriously, I spayed, vaccinated, click trained, brushed daily, we play 3 times every day, and then she eats, I gathered money to buy good cat food (not the best but not the cheapest either) and I even took veterinary lessons to be sure that I was doing the right thing.
And it's worked, you wouldn't believe that she is the same kitten that got here last year, she's fatter and her hair is shiny and soft, not to brag, but she went from daily diarrhea to the most perfect poop ever.
The thing is that my family makes fun of how compromised I am with the cat, they say that I am tooooo serious about it, that I should let my cat go outside, eat trash, eat human food, hunt bugs and rats, or whatever. They say "It's a cat! It has 7 lives! Just let her live them all"!
Then my aunt moved in with us this year because she had a stroke and now the left side of her body is paralyzed, so we are taking care of her. My aunt tried to be friends with my cat, but she was shy and would run away, so I gave my aunt a bottle of cat food and told her to shake and give A BIT to my cat, and, eventually, she would trust her.
Just as I said happened, they became friends and I'm happy about it. My aunt is alone most of the time and my cat's visits make her day.
But today I just discovered that my aunt was giving her food equivalent of two or three meals. And that explains why my cat was acting weird, like… she doesn't want clicker training anymore, she seems indifferent when I feed her, and her bathroom habits change. I was almost calling the vet about this all. My cat is still healthy (for now) but before she was an exemplary cat.
If I said to my aunt that she had to stop feeding her, she would be sad and take it personally or she would ignore it and think that it was not serious just like the rest of my family.
I know that sounds ridiculous, like "Hey my cat's bathroom time changes!", but it's also a money problem, like… I measured her food, and I bought bags that should last some months, they cannot go to waste or I have to get money from nowhere to buy more. Also, can you imagine how expensive would be if she got sick?
But also, I think that is more profound than just to feed or not to feed the cat. My aunt's stroke didn't come from anywhere, my family's genetics are rich in those things (strokes, diabetes, high pressure). I have a handful of relatives who died of strokes and heart attacks. We tend towards obesity and its related diseases and even so, my family believes that food is love. Not even a good homemade Saturday banquet, but really disgusting junk food. They act like the fact that I measure and schedule my cat meals is a crime and an insult to them.
So I don't know, I feel like… if I bring concern about my cat's health, am I saying something about her own health? Am I blaming her for her situation?

He's quite elated and supportive about it, the three main points being:
(1) As a former doctor, engaging regularly in any physical activity is a healthy habit.
(2) As your lover, of course he's hecking proud. Isn't it cool to have a s/o who's honing their skills in something they love? And can kick ass while doing it?
And most importantly (3) there's low risk of you getting seriously hurt since you're not "out in the field." While he still would be supportive of you if you did go that route, it's still a big relief that he doesn't have to worry about your life being on the line, especially given his current occupation.
The only thing he doesn't like about it is that you keep surprise-tackling him. Sure, he can fight if he wanted to, but given that his style is lethal (and dependent on the existence of a scalpel) there's not much he tries to do, especially if you're physically stronger than him.
"Y/N, I love you. So please let go. Please-"
If you have any tournaments, he'll do his best to attend, although because he's so busy him he seldom actually makes it. So he would compensate by some form of congratulatory celebration, be it a fancy dinner or whatever you like.
Fukuzawa Yukichi
Strangely enough, he's the most chill about it among the three. Don't get me wrong it's not that he's not impressed at all. It's just that he assesses your skills from the perspective of a fellow practitioner.
He's not so strict about it tho since you are just doing it for sport.
He'd gladly demonstrate or share any tips he has. Ask him and he won't hesitate to help you. Sometimes he'll even invite you to train with Kunikida during their sessions.
Sparring with him alone is unfortunately a seldom thing. Work eats up most of his time and energy so he's not able to spend time with you in general as much as he'd like to.
Yet each session with him gives a massive boost to your skills. He's able to counter and even teach you new moves outside of the style that you're mastering - something which even the other people you learn with/from can't do.
As to you trying to pull tricks on him... you can try, but it will never work. He may play along for the first few moments but he'll swiftly counter it just the same. The most you'll get from him is a "I see you've learned something new. Good try."
Words cannot express - not that he uses them much, really - how proud he is whenever he notices your abilities improving. But the occasional smile.
Kunikida Doppo
You can bet he fell hard when he found out you're learning martial arts. Doesn't matter if you were already dating at the time or not when you started.
He'll definitely teach/coach you the most compared to the other two. There's allotted time and plans for progress all written down. Important events like tournaments and the like are in his notebook as well.
Unlike Fukuzawa, sparring would definitely be one of your more frequent "bonding" activities. Kunikida believes it saves time and is just a win-win for both of you anyway.
Now this one is a little too mindful about what part of you he touches whether it's during demonstration or actual sparring. He apologizes extremely quickly and frequently even when it's nothing too bad. He also gets flustered if you two are in any way, shape, or form in an awkward position.
Which is why although the gap in skill is considerably large (but not as large as with Fukuzawa), you can catch him off-guard and tease/surprise-tackle him. This is Kunikida we're talking about - any barrier he has put on will disintegrate quickly. Push him just a little and you will get reaction that you want.
"Focus, Y/N."
"Shouldn't I be the one telling you that?"
"I-I-"
Eventually, he'll let you off the hook with any of your antics as long as it doesn't delay your schedule.

A normal day in the circus is how it all began as today's adventures were for Kinger because today was Kinger's BIRTHDAY! Caine thought.. honestly, who knows... Caine was running out of adventure ideas this week because apparently their adventures were now getting stolen by the infamous duo.. Amanada the Adventurer and her friend Wooly.. why were their stealing their adventures-? That's because Caine decided to invite Amanda to their world once but Jax decided to trip their friend Wooly causing Amanda to become enrage and was kicked out of the Digital Circus World for 'UnFamily Friendly Content' aka kicking Jax in the balls- (I added this line in. You're welcome. - mod bird ->) if he even had any.
(Bird we're gonna get canceled for that joke 😭)
"GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY-!!! Today's adventure will be around Kinger since today is his birthday!!" Caine shouted in his usual bright attitude as Kinger was confused.
"Today's my birthday..? Huh, I thought it was next month - oh- has anybody seen my bug collection?" Kinger popped his head out from his pillow fort. Caine didn't want to admit it, but over the years, he had grown to appreciate Kinger's presence because of his personality.. pillow fort creations.. love for bugs.. ah.. if he had a nickel for every compliment he could give to Kinger, he would be a billionaire! Caine cleared his throat as he twirled his- the hell do you call it- baton-?? Wait no- stand- uhh i forgot the name-
screw it we're calling it the TWIRLING STICK.. I'm writing this late at night for god sake. Ahem. Narrator get back to narrating..
"K I N G E R!!! MY BEAUTIFUL FINE LOOKING CHESS FELLOW I MEAN AVERAGE LOOKING FELLOW- i meAN- uh.. what- are you doing..?" He asked.. Caine came to check up on Kinger..
"Oh.. i uh.. found some worms and caterpillars now I'm helping the worms dig a safe cozy home and the catepillars morph.."
"Do they really need a long long LONG tunnel..? That's twice their size..?"
"I uhm.. like to think so.. it's like an dirt apartment complex for them..! You know worms actually are many different distantly related

They also need a moist, organic substrate or “bedding” in which to live.. oh sorry I must've been ranbling on for too long.."
"Oh no no keep on talking.. I could listen to your cute ramblings all day.." Caine says casually before he paused as Kinger widen his eyes and sweats a bit..
"D-did you just call my ramblings.. cute-? Caine?" He asked in curiosity..
"What nooo- i uh called the uh.. worms.. cute! Yes i called the worms cute."
"Oh." Kinger responded in disappointment.
"So how was this adventure so far for you kinger..? Was it fun-?" Caine would try his best to help Kinger finish the home for the worms as Kinger crawled out of the hold.. carrying caterpillars in his gloved hands.. "Why it was quite fun Caine! Oh! Did you know caterpillars generally eat quite a bit and have very healthy appetites. In some cases, a caterpillar can eat so much that it doubles its size in just one day..!! Each caterpillar will eat between 175-200 leaves before. the next phase of its lifecycle. They need all of that energy in order to make their- oh sorry for rambling.." Kinger looked away in embarrassment.
"Oh no no its fine I find your ramblings quite cute.." He chuckles as Kinger widen his eyes.. he was happy!
"So you do admit you find me cute in a way-?"
"Why yes I cannot lie no more my friend.. I always have a habit of finding your obsession with bugs to be quite adorable and even cute in a way.. I just didn't want to admit it for so long for I worried our.. friendship.m would be broken.."
"Why Kinger it's naturally okay to be afraid.. besides most good relationships start off from befriending someone either way.." He smiles as he puts the caterpillars down gently onto some flowers..
*MEANWHILE*
"Hey Pomni.. come over and take a look at these two suckers flirting attempts.. it's quite sad really.." Jax joked
"N-now that isn't very nice- wait.. KINGER AND CAINE FINALLY ADMITTING THEIR LOVE TO EACH OTHER-!?" Pomni asked in shock as Jax frowns and covered Pomni's mouth "No need to shout it to the whole world kid. What are you an anime girl-? You need to take a break from watching anime with Gangle.. wait a minute.. how does Gangle even have acess to animes.."
*BACK TO CAINE AND KINGER*
Both of them pause as they heard Jax and Pomni bickering nearby.. Caine sighs as Kinger laughs softly in a way..
"So Caine.. I got.. a simple question really.."
"Hm? What is it Kinger..?"
"Would you like to perhaps go on a date next week-?"
"Why Kinger you beat me to it!!- but uh- wait- why specifically next week-?"
"Oh! Cause I believe the caterpillars should morph into butterflies by then.."
"WONDERFUL IDEA KINGER-!! Bubbles!"
*Bubbles pops into existence with their usual toothy grin*
"Yeah kinger-?"
"Tell the mannequin npc chef we're canceling next week's lunch!! I got myself a date!! With our lovely amazing chess piece over here.. Kinger!"
"It took you this long to properly propose-?"

Lab Rats HC’s
Except some of them are particularly sad
-Chase always raves about how smart he is because he thinks that’s the only thing he’s worth. He thinks that being smart is the only thing keeping him from being worthless to the team.
-It’s the same reason why he values being mission leader so much and gets upset when someone says anything other than that.
-Adam feels like he’s useless without his bionics. He thinks if he didn’t have his bionics he would be completely useless. He thinks he’s stupid and it gets confirmed by everyone around him all the time. He knows Chase would stop if he knew how much it upset him but he doesn’t want to admit that it hurts his feelings.
-Leo’s terrified that he’ll lose his siblings, his best friends, one day. He’s scared that everything he’s accomplished and learned to love could be taken away from him in an instant. He suffers horribly from nightmares of Adam, Bree and Chase dying on a mission one day.
-Bree always feels like she’s not worth anything. Especially after Skylar got her powers back, she always wondered why she was even on the team if Skylar could do everything she could, perhaps even better with even more powers and abilities. She struggled with this for a very long time.
-TW: Chase struggles with his eating a lot. He has orthorexia, which is an unhealthy obsession with “pure” or healthy food. “Pure” or “impure” foods can vary from person to person but it’s usually characterised by cutting out foods that are typically considered unhealthy and having an obsession with only eating the “pure” foods. This can also lead to restrictions and over-exercising. It’s usually linked to OCD and people with orthorexia can become terrified of certain food groups. This HC is very dear to my heart as it’s something I’ve struggled with, with my OCD.
-On that note, Chase has OCD. You cannot convince me otherwise. His brain works much faster than a typical human’s would which has lead to having too much time to think. This has resulted in having intrusive thoughts and compulsions with certain things (ie. ‘what if I trip and land on that dog?’ ‘I could just stab their eye out with my fork’ or having to touch a surface with both hands to make it even otherwise it will result in feeling lopsided and like something horrible is about to happen until he makes it even).
-with his super senses body focused obsessions are something to think about as well. You can do your own research to delve a bit deeper if you want but in a nutshell it’s becoming hyperaware of certain bodily sensations (ie. Blinking, breathing, gulping etc. and even doing it a certain number of times in a certain amount of time, becoming stressed if it’s not perfect)
-this went under the radar for years until Chase had panic attacks at school when he couldn’t control the environment around him and couldn’t deal with how dirty he felt all the time. Contamination OCD is no joke.
-Leo suffers from a lot of phantom limb pain. Having his arm and leg both crushed under various heavy objects and replaced with bionic limbs means a lot of phantom pain. There’s not really much you can do to stop it because at the end of the day, it’s sort of just all in your head. It’s like how you can’t just take pain killers to cure depression.
-Davenport has never noticed any of this about his kids. It always took Tasha, Leo or Douglas to notice something was up with them. Leo was the one to point out Chase’s OCD, Tasha has always noticed if the kids look down and Douglas was the only one who ever picked up on Chase’s strange eating habits. Nobody said anything to Davenport about how neglectful he tended to be, especially when he was so focused on a new project, but they all thought it.
-none of them have leaned an off switch. They have had to work almost till they drop since they were kids and nobody taught them how to recognise the signs of being tired. They had never been told to stop and take a break or to go and rest. Davenport often time encouraged how much they worked when he should have been encouraging them to rest more. This has lead to suffering from burn-outs.
-Chase is autistic, when he had his first meltdown after coming out of toddler years when he was 6, Davenport didn’t know how to deal with it and locked Chase in his capsule. He told him that he was getting too old to be having tantrums like that and said he could only come out when he calmed down. He later found out that it wasn’t a tantrum at all and now feels guilty about it.
-without meaning to, Adam was usually the cause of almost all of Chase’s meltdowns. Adam didn’t know how to regulate his own emotions and certainly didn’t know how to read other’s which often ended in not noticing Chase start to shut down and have meltdowns. He knows better now and still feels apologetic about it.
-when Bree is overworked and overtired her body is incapable of going into REM sleep, which means she wakes up still feeling exhausted. She superspeeds in her sleep sometimes but never ends up anywhere because she can’t get out of her capsule.
-Adam’s joints often ache from the pressure of his bionics on his body. He’s supposed to be built to withstand tonnes of weight but it still puts a toll on his body. Luckily Chase is a chiropractor in the Philippines.
-on a particularly hard day with his eating, Chase had just started crying over a bow of cereal. Just full on sobbing into it. Adam happened to be in the room and immediately knew how to cheer him up. (I imagine un went something like this. “Dude, you’re gonna make the milk all salty.” “What?” “You don’t want salty milk, man. Nobody wants that sh!t. I’ve tried it. Seriously burns when it comes back out your ass.” Chase had just started to laugh while still crying. That made them both laugh more.)
Sorry these are so Chase centred. If you couldn’t tell, he’s my favourite character. My autistic ass can only write good stuff about my favourite characters of stuff. Let me know if you liked these and want another part to it.

He's used to take mental notes of everthing, and of course some small issues about you cannot passed unseen. Yet, he's not sure how to ask you gently if you're okay, he doesn't want to feel like a nosy.
But obviously you'r not as fine as you should, and he must take the lead. "(Y/N), did you eat this morning?"
Oh you'd wish to simply nod and pass the topic, but those piercing eyes won't let you go until he's completely sure you're sincere.
Maybe you try to act defensive, but Marc knows how to deal with that.
You end up feeling embarrased 'cause he found out. "Look, I know I'm less than perfect -" "Don't say that" "But it's true!" "I don't want you to be perfect, I want you to be happy and safe"
Perhaps Marc isn't the best caretaker, but you can be sure he'll do his best, being around you and helping you to get a healthy food habit.
Jake Lockley:
We can think of him as a "street sibarite", enjoying everything around simple, slightly dangerous life. And since his hobbies are music and food, he's always up to take you to eat street food or to any other nice, not well-known place.
That was when he noticed you struggled with eating. "Don't you like it, corazón?" "Oh, no, it's delicious! I just... hmm... ate earlier and I'm still a little full"
Yes, he can pass it once, maybe twice, but the third time you show symptoms of your ED he's direct: "You're sick, aren't you? I mean... with that" (pointing at your barely touched dish)
Won't try to attack the problem directly, but does his best to make you happy in different manners. He can be very romantic and intense in his love languages, and it includes, of course, food.
Though they're not his favorites, he cooks or buys healthy meals for you, and sits to eat along with you to be sure you actually eat. And everytime you manage to make your three meals, he rewards you with something you like. Yes, it's not the best idea, but Jake loves making you feel good and happy.
Steven Grant:
Sweet boi never misses details. He quickly finds out something's not very well with you, but since he can't tell exactly where the problem is, he rather uses subtle approaching.
Like, you go on a date and he invites you for a lunch. Now, since he's a vegan he doesn't eat too many junk food, and asks you about your favorites to "compensate" for going with him to his places. "No I don't eat that" "Really? Oh well, I was thinking of caramel apples but that's okay-"
He can be very open about his own issues (like the sleeping problems and stuff) now he has more confidence around you. Also, this is a good techique to allow you to speak anytime you need to.
But if you still are quiet about the elephant in the room, he'll do his best to bring it on. "Uh, love, I don't want to sound like a creep or somethin' but... I have noticed you don't look comfy when we eat, is it the food choice or...?"
He'll hold your hand and listen to you. He'll be very kind and protective and won't say anything against you. "Hey, it's fine, it's not your fault... If you want to, I'm here and I'll help you. I mean, I'm not the best for that but... we can get some help for you, and I'll be there for you too"
Actually keeps his promise and search for a good therapist. He goes with you, and is very discrete with the topic, even putting himself in the eye of the hurricane (like saying it's you who takes him to therapy).
Sometimes you may feel you're going backwards, a very common thing while dealing with certain issues. You feel bad for Steven 'cause he's been supporting you and don't want to make him dissapointed. He's not. He never will. He'll be there in your ups and downs, and he'll always tell how proud is for you. "Accepting it is the hardest thing, love, and you did it very well"

kyle would not be chubby. absolutely no disrespect to other anon, hdc whatever you want, i just cannot see it given his canon character traits. kyle seems like the kind of guy that takes his physical health very seriously, and it’s kind of obvious that he feels a certain way about being overweight. i’m not saying he’s outwardly fatphobic toward anyone but cartman, but i am saying that deep down he would be afraid of being fat (based on his own mom being overweight and how everyone treats cartman) so yes, he’d have some internalized fatphobia. he’s the kind of guy that’s like “well if you’re unhappy with your weight you should work out and eat better, being healthy is important🤓👆” and because he had so many health issues as a kid, i see him as having mild health ocd and using exercise as a way to relieve the anxiety that comes with that. he’s also insecure about other parts of his appearance like his hair and nose, so i see him working really hard on his physique so he can have something about himself that he’s confident in. he’s also arguably the sportiest of the boys, he genuinely enjoys physical activity, and every time we see the broflovskis eating dinner it’s something like salmon and vegetables. genetics don’t just automatically make you overweight if you’re actively doing things to stay at a caloric deficit.
and then in post covid he is so obviously the fittest and tallest among all of his male ex classmates, barring tolkien (adult tolkien is absolutely jacked, argue with the wall) so we can assume he carried his healthy habits into adulthood.
fit kyle is basically canon. sleeper build kyle is the best hdc. and NO SKINNY STAN you can rip sexy beer-bellied post covid stan from my cold dead hands!!!
yeah, i can’t really see him being chubby. i can see him being baby faced throughout middle school, but i can’t see him being chubby.
but i can see him being a little bit ocd about health. probably not really a mentality of ‘i don’t wanna end up like my mom or cartman’, maybe he does have a bit of an internalized fatphobia, but i can kinda see him also having a mentality that ‘my immune system is already fucked up, im diabetic and unhealthy health wise, i don’t wanna be unhealthy weight wise’. i think it’d be a mix of both, unfortunately.
stan wouldn’t be skinny. randy would probably have him eating ‘rich people food’ or maybe it’s just simple genetics. i dunno. i can see stan being somewhat fit in high school, but in college, that’s another story.

My experience with and opinion on fat acceptance
I am currently 16 years old and 5'6, 169 pounds. I need to tell my story.
I've been fat or chubbier my entire life due to poor eating habits taught to me early on. "Oh, you want thirds on that giant plate of yours? Sure, go right ahead." But I never really noticed until about 5th grade and really got self conscious in 6th grade. But, I was healthy. I'd say I was around 5'3 and 155-160 pounds. I moved around a lot, I was running with no thought about breath control every day at recess. But I still sucked in my guy and wore giant shirts so no one could see the shape of my body. Then, Covid hit.
I gained what i thought was so much weight during lockdown, as everyone else did too, as well as my oh so quirky mental illnesses. I was at 168 and it made me feel horrible. But not in the health way but the outer appearance way. Then I discovered fat acceptance.
I went from sucking in my gut to being sucked into a harmful mindset that I cannot change but that's okay.
Now, I have to give the movement credit where it's due; it both positively and negatively affected me. The negative part was that i gained about 20 pounds. I got to 180. The positive was that I gained confidence that I desperately needed. I started to not care as much about what I thought people would think, I started to wear more form fitting clothes, I started to even wear two piece swimsuits. But that 20 pounds felt absolutely horrible. And after about two years in the fat acceptance movement, I finally got out of it.
I finally stopped blaming everyone else, either for not being "fat positive" or for being the ones who made me fat. I finally stopped thinking the "naturally" skinny girls were my worst enemy. I finally stopped blaming my genetics. I finally realized just how much I was grossly overeating. I finally saw just how bad I was and how the path I was taking would've lead me to major health problems and an unhappy life filled with resentment and bitterness.
So I took that confidence given to me by the movement and I used it to better myself. After many ups and downs, I managed to get down to 162. I've gained 7 pounds back but I'm trying my best to be consistent. And this health journey started because I wanted to be healthier and just feel better, mostly because I wanted to justify it because I thought that it was wrong of me to want to lose weight to look a certain way. But honestly, fuck that. I don't care if it's fat phobic of me to want my own body to be smaller. So, health is a priority for me but I will be damned if I don't start looking the way I want.
And I tagged this with so many of these fat acceptance tags because I know for damn sure that I would've needed this post three years ago. To hear how it affected someone close to my age. So to anyone who is feeling like shit because you feel as though you can't lose weight or you don't feel as pretty as others; you can do this. You're absolutely gorgeous and handsome and pretty and interesting no matter how you look. But please, please, please don't take to the fat acceptance movement as a way go block out and ignore your insecurities. It doesn't work, it will only get worse. I lost those 17 pounds just by eating a few more vegetables and very inconsistent exercise. I realize everyone is different but it's way easier than you think it is.

should i be sleeping? yes i have to leave for work in exactly 8 hours (i said when i started this . as im finishing it we are looking at 7 hrs 15 min lol) . but i Have to Talk ! also just letting you know you almost made me CRY with this ask you guys are all genuinely so sweet and kind to me i cannot believe it 💗💐☀ i love you all :-((
OKAY gonna put this under a cut so anyone who doesn't wanna see ed related content can SCROLL AWAY ! gonna avoid being triggering but . protect ur peace and all that <3 also i wanna put out there that this is mostly based on my own experiences with seven years of various eating disorders so if you are reading this and it doesn't fit your idea or perception of ed's that may be why !
ok so the three main characters i have ed-related headcanons for are brennan, angela, and cam (before anyone comments that it's only the women . there is no correlation i promise . i am projecting and these are my Projection Characters .)
i hc brennan as having arfid and orthorexia-- arfid developed for her from a combination of sensory issues with food as well as food-related anxiety from foster care (not always having enough to eat, rarely having any choice in what she ate, food-related punishments within abusive homes). being avoidant is an easy way to ignore the anxiety and stress that comes along with eating, between her sensory issues and the fact that she wasn't given an opportunity to develop much of a healthy relationship with food. orthorexia also developed as a control mechanism, but later in life (around college age). it was the first time since her parents left that she had control over her life, and that included food-- she became very obsessive about what she was putting in her body, because it gave her some of that sense of control back. her obsession with being "healthy" allowed her to feel like she was the one in charge of her body for the first time since she was fifteen.
in regards to recovery, she really didn't realize she had a problem for ages. since she wasn't medically unstable or engaging in super obvious behaviours, she didn't see herself as suffering from an eating disorder at all. it wasn't until sweets pointed out her disordered eating habits that she realized there was anything wrong with what she was doing-- she brought it up to booth, who agreed, which culminated in a fairly major argument as she didn't see anything she was doing as "bad" or disordered, just "healthy" and "in control". after a Real Conversation though, she eventually accepted that she might have some sort of problem and started looking into it more. she is definitely still in recovery, as it is a very slow process after so many years of disordered eating, but she makes an effort to engage in things that scare the disordered part of her brain. her favourite memory in regards to this was getting *real* ice cream for the first time in god knows how long when her and angela were out with the kids <33
my headcanons in regard to angela's ed are very connected to my headcanon that she has bipolar disorder-- many of us with bipolar really struggle with disordered eating and i specifically hc angela as having bulimia. it started when she was a teenager and first starting to experience bipolar episodes-- when manic or depressed, it's incredibly easy to fall into b/p cycles. when she was manic, it was like a form of thrill seeking, and she didn't have the capacity to care for the destruction it was causing, and when depressed, it felt like she was putting her awful feelings into something physical. it was hard to express her emotions through words, so she used her body instead.
i think she entered recovery for the first time in her late teens (around 17) when her mental health hit like . rock bottom and her dad decided that they needed to do something about it. she got the treatment she needed, and also took time away from school to tour with her dad-- exploring the country and having so much time to just sit with her thoughts (especially now that they were a little easier to manage with medication) is what made her start doing art really seriously-- if she couldn't express her hurt with her body anymore, she was going to do it on a page, and she created some of her most beautiful paintings during that time that she is still very proud of to this day. she still has slip ups to this day when she is struggling with her episodes, but with hodgins and brennan she is much more capable of talking through it before it gets to a dangerous point of relapse.
as for cam's ed, i feel this is the one i've talked about the most before bc she is my comfort character in this aspect? i headcanon her to have anorexia, specifically restrictive subtype. for her it's a control and perfectionism thing, as well as a "growing up masking autism" thing. cam has a very perfectionist and obsessive personality type, and it's mostly directed toward herself. everything she does needs to be perfect to be enough, and she needs to feel in control at all times. food is one of the easiest ways to do this-- if she can control her body and the food she consumes, obsess over numbers and physical changes and symptoms, it makes her feel a little more at ease in her life because she feels she has *something* under her control. as for the masking thing, she often masked with hyperfemininity growing up-- she was praised frequently for being a "good girl", and part of keeping up that image was looking the "right" way (aka, thin). if she could keep up this image, people wouldn't notice the things that made her odd or how unnatural everything felt to her. it's another control thing, but with another layer to it.
cam took a *long* time to start real recovery. she had phases where it got less severe, even some to the point where she barely thought about it, but restriction and denial was always still a part of her mentality and routine. it wasn't until arastoo came along that she felt comfortable enough to explain her pain and her thoughts to another person-- she was always too scared to unload on anyone else, so she kept it a secret essentially her entire life. arastoo was the first person she trusted to listen without judgement, and he encouraged her to talk to her other friends and loved ones about it (all of whom were incredibly understanding and supportive). in a similar sense to brennan, recovery is really difficult for her, having struggled for so incredibly long and having her disorder be a part of her daily routine for the majority of her life. however, she tries incredibly hard-- arastoo is teaching her how to cook (she never learned) and she's learning to find the joy in food through that, and allowing herself to relax around it a little more <333

keeping out of binge territory — personal reminders & ideas that have helped me
- 1-2 “maintenance” days for every -3500 deficit mark (minimum)
- “maintenance” day = anywhere from -800 to -500 deficit for me. i am usually trying for -1000+ deficit daily. i get discouraged if i do a real maintenance day (zero deficit) that’s the sickness in me lmao. aiming for a couple days of -500 deficit— usually enough to satisfy me & get back on track if im really feeling like binging. that is subject to change tho lol.. depends on how hard im going with fasting & exercise.
- remember to incorporate more volume meals like salads, veggie bowls, etc. — in general & especially when feeling a binge coming on. sometimes i forget that this actually helps. im hungry i think, im gonna binge, nothing will help. binging is such a helpless feeling. but even if i just sauté some broccoli or veggies with egg whites— the difference it makes. you’d be surprised. before you surrender to a binge, at least try to make something healthy to eat.
- max 1 meal or snack a day that includes calories which cannot be counted (so no take out, only certain foods from work like salads, etc) in GENERAL keep to calories that can be counted so home cooked meals only, small exceptions like salads or tiny snacks can be made in emergency if afraid of binging, lol. i will fall into the trap of eating things i cant count and this puts me in “fuck it” territory with counting calories. which leads to binging because i could be under calories or over, idk bc idk what’s in that salad dressing or half a sandwich or whatever it is im eating bc i didnt take the time to prep my lunch for work
- similarly ^ minimize processed foods — 1 item per day max— … protein bars/snacks lead to binges, are not as filling/satisfying during binges, they just make things worse tbh
- HYDRATE — need to hydrate to feel ok when cutting cals AND fasting AND exercising. up the Powerade zeros, vitamin waters, gatorade zeros, etc, whatever it takes, have a variety on hand
- food diaries !!! this one is SO important to me— rly what my blog is for— tho i have more extensive entries in my notes app. it’s a huge part of manifesting. without it i dont think i’d have the confidence to continue when things get difficult— but also it rly truly helps you get past challenges when you actually think through things & reflect. like what is holding me back rn? why did i feel like binging today? or did i not— why is that? did i eat more fat? did more carbs in the morning help me get through the shift without eating as much? what is helping/hurting? so helpful. any time i stop journaling i really come up against more challenges.
- make a list of foods/meals want to binge on & come up with a healthy replacement version i am going to do this tonight probably & post some ideas
- also ^ variety in food & meals — get creative — again, makes it fun, distracts from eating less
- prep healthiest meals of the day to eat at work & show it off.. lol… this one is sick but it’s just such a high to eat something healthy to eat during a shift and everyone see.. and i work in a cafe sometimes my coworkers will giggle at my tiny meals/comment on healthy they are.. it rly helps. but i gotta start to do something that’s not just a yogurt & carrots, like i need a whole ass salad or something filling, i been tempted to binge at work lol. this one is specific to me hahaha i just rly think it will help
- practice mindful eating — ig this should be at the top of the list LMAO but i have a hard time sticking to this every meal. when im eating at work on break it’s my only chance to take my mind off work so i tend to go on my phone while i eat. but getting in the habit of this is sooo helpful, even if just one mindful meal a day. enjoying my meals helps me feel satisfied and start my fasts from a feeling of abundance. and how you start a fast is really important i think to sticking it through. if you start it feeling like you didn’t eat or can’t eat, you won’t finish it, or you’ll be slogging through.
✨ short list i wrote out for myself today. i got off track after 2 binges one of which had me in -500 deficit which RLY hit my confidence and made me wanna get off track. i wanna keep going and challenging myself but i realized i gotta be smart if i wanna sustain my faster pace. it’s nice that i went so long without binging but, if u have a fast pace with stuff like this, it’s easy to get ahead of urself and get into binge territory. these r some reminders that help me keep on track, still be able to challenge myself while also being realistic abt how much i can push myself✨

Hey, you're from Germany, right? Do you have any tips for writing a German character? Most specifically, a German character studying abroad, and another character placed in Germany working In a office.
Things like relationships (familial, platonic, and romantic), office culture, normal habits, and cultural shocks a German may have would be very appreciated!

As always, Germans are like other people. Different personalities, different opinions, different worldviews — every German is different. So, you have a lot of options to build your character with a unique character.
That being said…
Studying abroad/living in Germany
So…I assume studying in ’merica, aye? I have been there when I was a teeny tiny cat but I have also heard stuff from people who have studied abroad. And uhhhh Germans hate Americans lol (though this could also be a European thing, not a German thing).
We make fun of your school system a lot. I don’t wanna be mean but things like education, school safety, your food etc. are often victims of our dark humour. A friend of mine was studying abroad and the people could genuinely not tell what exactly Germany is. Is it a country? A continent? A city?
Adding to that, she was overwhelmed with things like “Do you know Hitler?” or “Are you a Nazi?”
Bro…we spend months and years learning in detail about our country’s history. We visit concentration camps. We watch movies from that time, analyse in detail how the people got manipulated. We read books the victims wrote. Germany still imprisons people who are a hundred years old. Germany is well aware of its past. It’s also aware that something like this cannot happen ever again.
Since that was a bit deep uhhhh let’s go over to food. I dunno about y’all but from what I’ve heard…you’re ordering food for dinner and eat it on paper plates…? Look that’s what I’ve heard and I gotta tell you that most Germans eat bread and Brötchen for dinner (though this is also changing, a lot of people are cooking warm meals for dinner nowadays).
And — can’t stress this enough — Germans love bread. When you go into a supermarket, the first thing you’re gonna see is a bakery.

And inside the supermarket is also a mini bakery.
We love it. Can’t really live without it.
Germans complain (at least here in the East). You go out with friends? Instantly complaining about your stupid neighbours. You go to the club? Instantly complain how lame it is. You went somewhere for a special occasion? Instantly talking about everything that went well and all the things you would’ve loved to be better.
Germans love football (soccer). Personally, I hate it more than anything. But Germans love it. It’s insane to me. They sit in the stadium and scream…definitely has something Romanesque to it.
I’d say most people have a rather difficult relationship with their parents. Generational trauma is a big thing. I mean, Germany being split and being reunited is a big part of my parents’ childhood. And since healthy communication wasn’t really a thing back then, most parents just don’t really know how to communicate with their children. So, I’d rather say it’s kinda messed up? Again, I can’t speak for everyone but that’s just what I’m getting from talking to my friends etc.
It’s not that they don’t love us, it’s just that they cannot always show it when we need it.
I believe it is best if you watch a few TikToks of people who aren’t from Germany experiencing Germany, they can definitely tell you about all the different things way better. For example this one is about “language,” cake, grocery stores, German windows lmao, and this German tiktok icon making fun of Americans.
I hope this is somewhat helpful? I’m not working in an office, so I can’t tell you much about that, unfortunately but maybe someone on Tiktok could help you with that. People documenting their life is a pretty good source of information. (Other than that do not trust TikTok ever!!!)

Hello, Spencer!  
Firstly, I am deeply sorry for the delay on my part, I had an issue that took my entire brain for days, I couldn't focus on anything else (I didn't even see your letter arrive until three days ago).  
Secondly, you did not make me uncomfortable in any way. Trust me. If it happens I'll let you know — but I doubt it will.  
I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how you face gruesome cases every day, I wouldn't have stomach for it. I do hope you feel better now that it's over. And please, do fill my busy hours with irrelevant venting as much as you want. It's not irrelevant at all and I love to hear from you (in this case, read.) 
To answer your questions, yes, I was picking up extra shifts. But they are finally over and I have some free time these days. As free as they can get... Mhm, I am eating healthier than before so that's an improvement? I guess. I don't really like vegetables, but I'm trying.  
Oh, and I chose your recommendation as my next reading, Ann Radcliffe's Romance of the Forest. I have to tell you, her writing is really addictive. I don't usually read books quickly, but I can't put this one down. How much time does it take for you to read a book? Do you have a monthly/weekly reading goal? 
You have a godson! This is exciting. What is he like? What is his name? If you don't mind telling me, of course. I just love kids. Following this train of thought... given your story, you were a troublemaker, weren't you? I can see that, you climbing a chair to have a forbidden book. It's funny. Please, tell me your mother has pictures from that moment? I'd love to see them. 
And Spencer? Please, don't switch food for your sugary coffees. You cannot have seven in a day and say “I'm satisfied” in the end of the day.
