I’m honestly curious to know how you came across G/t and got into it
Wow ok this is pretty much the first time someone asks me about it djskdjs saying in advance that this will be a long answer.
It's not a interesting story though, it happened in a very casual way and it has always been related to me being extremely curious and captivated by G/t.
I think I can say I like G/t since I was a kid. I was about 6 or 7 years old when I had my first encounter with size difference. My parents were watching a comedy show on television and one of the sketches was about a giant cowboy (don't ask me why). I was watching it with them and when this sketch started I remember being completely fascinated by it. I was so dumbfounded that I kept asking my mom stuff like "Why is he so big? How did he got that big?", now I know that it was mostly me trying to understand why I was so interested in him being a giant.
I used to have these very tiny Polly Pocket dolls that were, like, 1 cm tall at best and I liked to pretend that I was a gentle giant and they were my friends. I had imaginary friends who were borrowers, I loved Clifford The Big Red Dog, Arthur and the Invisibles, The Ant Bully and essentially anything related to size difference had me completely curious, enchanted and OBSESSED with it.
I started to do drawings and stories with size difference characters since I was a little kid. I remember to spend hours daydreaming about a little girl who was very small and lived with a normal sized family, I had a lot of fun drawing her living in a world so much bigger than her.
Eventually I grew up and these things were left behind and forgotten in the middle of my pre teens, other interests appeared until it came a time where I barely remembered my fascination for size difference.
Until I found the G/t fandom on Tumblr.
I was 14 and I had just joined the Undertale fandom, I'd search and scroll through a lot of fanart on Tumblr. Then, out of nowhere, a drawing of G/t Fritz and Sans from rockonewjeans (who appears to no longer have an account here) popped up in the middle of the feed.
I still remember to this day looking at it and feeling all that nostalgic curiosity and fascination from when I was a child emerging to the surface again and being like "Oh my GOD wait- I remember that, I used to LOVE that... Wait there is a whole fandom about it????". Like, for real, I just felt super euphoric (see where I got the name now? haha) in a way I hadn't felt in a long time. I just suddently remembered how I used to find size difference so interesting since forever.
I spent the rest of the night scrolling through her blog and I learned that there was an ENTIRE fandom about it and stories and art and wow I was extremely amazed. After that I created my blog, started searching, reposting and following artists and writers, thus effectively joining this weird but special corner of the internet lol.
So essentially, I've liked it since I was a kid, I didn't know it was a fandom and a thing until I saw rocknewjeans art so it's basically her fault that this all happened LOL wish I could thank and blame her for it someday.
Sorry for the long answer, but I think it was worth the tale!

just got to the part where Marius becomes a lawyer I guess??
I just thought it was so funny how fast it went. to be fair, French is not my first language so I’m sure I missed some stuff, but for me it went like this:
Marius leaves his gramps cuz he loves Napoleon now
Courfeyrac is like hey I don’t really know you at all but wanna live with me?
Marius is like it’s ok man I’m gonna sell all my clothes
Courf is like uhhh what about maybe getting a job? do you have skills? know any english or german?
Marius does not have skills
but then! he does move in with Courf & there are all these law books lying around & Marius reads one & is like I guess I’m a lawyer now
& on the next page Marius gets his own place I think & Hugo is like oh ya um this all happened over like 3 years & I’m like ohhhh that makes more sense

starting that sulla oneshot i'd been thinking about writing for a while.... the one that'll eventually become sulla/walter... turned sulla into a farm boy that became a pilot BECAUSE WHY NOT
anyway wip under the cut hehe
Despite being a Rubiconian born and raised, this was the first time Sulla had ever stepped foot within the vaunted halls of the Xylem.
It had a legendary history, one that had likely been embellished after a thousand retellings over the course of nearly two centuries. While its glitzy high-rises and cutting edge laboratories would make most think otherwise, the Xylem had once been a dingy, beaten up old colony ship that had landed on Rubicon-3 by mistake, its trajectory altered by a defective navigational AI while the human colonists and crew were placed into stasis for the decades long journey. No one had complained, though, as their original destination had been a planet deemed barely habitable, whereas Rubicon had been a lush paradise from the moment the colonists had stepped off their junker of a spaceship.
That was all ancient history, though, and the Xylem Sulla visited definitely wasn’t the original colony ship. That had been built on a starvation budget, with inferior materials that shouldn’t have survived the journey, according to science and had basically fallen apart the moment it had (crash)landed. This Xylem had been rebuilt from the ground up, modelled after the original but improved and scaled up by a hundred, with its internal stasis warehouses replaced with laboratories, hydroponic farms and other amenities that the intellectual elite enjoyed in the technocracy that ruled Rubicon.
After all, while Earth still toiled under its outdated and cannibalistic corporate oligarchy, Rubicon enjoyed an enlightened and liberal society where scientific and technical achievements were exalted, and the greedy chase for profits scorned.
(Or, so they said officially. Sulla knew that in reality they weren’t much different from the UEG and its corporate vassals - they just hid it under a bright and pleasant veneer.)
It was certainly different to Sulla’s hometown of Ebla, which was less of a town and more of a very ambitious village, surrounded by great fields of rye and barley, and vast, rolling plains of grazing grass. The ‘breadbasket of Belius’, Ebla was known as, and Sulla could’ve continued the family business along with his two brothers, but he had wanted more for himself, had looked up at the vast blue skies and wanted to soar, so had joined the Pilot Corps for the Rubiconian Militia. He’d returned to Ebla a few times since then, but not as much as he should’ve.
Either way, it was the polar opposite to Xylem’s urban skyline. The only patch of nature to be seen were aggressively organised parks or pavement trees, and there weren’t many birds either, anything that could serve as a perch adorned with cruel metal spikes. It made the whole thing seem rather unsettling to him, but Sulla supposed that the scientific elite probably didn’t like being reminded overly much of nature. They were violating it on a daily basis after all.
Which circled back to the reason why he was here in the first place.

im gonna answer ur ask in a sec when the movie im watching with my family but ib the mean time... 12, 17, and 29 for the game pls !
take your time!! now here's for my answers to your ask! yay!
12. longest fic you read this year
The Whole of Us (is greater than the sum of our broken pieces) is an absolutely ADORABLE AU where Ford is the biological father of Dipper and Mabel but he didn't know about them until they were left at his doorstep by their abusive mom. It is a whopping 144,688 words. I still can't believe I made it through it. 100/10 would recommend.
17. WIP you hope gets updated next year
I think the tazer fic and midnight's call from you are some that I hope you update next year. no pressure tho, I just love them a lot.
29. fandom “first” you accomplished this year
Maybe my decision to write my blind Ford and journal Ford aus as wips instead of forcing myself to write them all at once like I used to? I think it has seriously made writing them feel less like a thing I rush and more of something I can take my time with. which is good since I had a bad habit of rushing previous fics' plots.
anyway, thank you for the ask! I loved answering them!
