#I imagine Munakata would ask Zenjou about it at least

Note
Since you already answered ask about fushimi die and munakata survive during RoK, also the opposite. How about scenario of them both die? What would be everyone's reaction? Let's put Zenjou-san's reaction in it too.
Would Zenjoh even have a reaction, I mean reacting to things might not be his job and we all know how he hates to do things that aren’t his job :P In this scenario I wonder if Munakata would still try to tell Awashima about the whole Fushimi traitor plan before he dies, assuming (or just hoping at least) that Fushimi could still make it out of jungle. I feel like this would really make things rough on poor Awashima in particular, imagine her first having to deal with the mental anguish of killing her own King and then she ends up being the one to wait beside the crumbling jungle headquarters, waiting for Fushimi to appear only to eventually have to be dragged away by a concerned alphabet squad when things become too dangerous and it’s clear that no one else will be escaping.
In the aftermath I just imagine all of Scepter 4 huddled around together in silence, for them this would be similar to how Homra felt when Mikoto died (but possibly worse, because Munakata could have been saved if the Slate had been destroyed in time, and Fushimi dying at the same time too only moments after they all learned that he never betrayed them in the first place). Awashima knows that she should technically be the one ‘rallying the troops’ here but I think she would be just so physically and mentally exhausted. I imagine Zenjoh being the one to approach her first, because he understands how she feels and how difficult it is to be the one left behind. He puts a hand on her shoulder and she just leans towards him, saying she knows she did her duty but it wasn’t something she wanted to do and he tells her that it showed great strength, that she took on this task when she didn’t have to. Awashima says it was just that if someone had to do it she felt it was her job and Zenjoh says he didn’t think of it that way himself at the time with Habari but even so, he knew that he had to be the one to do this. At some point while they’re talking I kinda imagine Kusanagi making his appearance as well, reaching over to console Awashima without a word because he also knows exactly how this feels, even if he wasn’t the one to kill his King.
The squad meanwhile at think would just be in shock, trying to process both Munakata’s loss and the dual realizations that Fushimi didn’t betray them but also didn’t survive. Akiyama I feel like would be the one to step up here, since he is actually the acting Captain right now and he doesn’t want to put any more on Awashima’s shoulders, so he excuses himself to go handle the rest of the cleanup and Benzai goes with him, putting a hand on his shoulder and the two of them just quietly giving each other support. Hidaka is in absolute tears, punching the ground and so upset that they lost Captain and Fushimi and how could he have even thought for a minute that Fushimi would betray them, why didn’t Fushimi trust them and let them know what was going on. Enomoto quietly says it was a secret mission and they couldn’t have known and Hidaka mutters ‘I know that’ but he’s still so frustrated, that they couldn’t save anyone. The idea of going back and just doing reports about this too makes them all quiet, Doumyouji would normally be happy about not doing reports but not this way, like he doesn’t even feel like illustrating this one without Fushimi-san there to tell him he did it wrong. Even Fuse has to admit that Fushimi really was their third in command and followed Captain to the end, and the only thing the rest of them can do now is act the same and carry on Munakata’s will.
In the aftermath I wonder if they would all keep trying to hold S4 together in some way, like even Zenjoh notes that the difference between all of them and him is that there won’t be a new Blue King this time, they can either continue their King’s work or disband. There are still dangerous Strains out there though and people with powers who don’t know what to do about it and so Awashima decides that at least until everything has calmed down she’ll do what she can in Captain’s place. She doesn’t expect everyone else to agree or follow her but the entire alphabet squad shows up in the office the next day waiting for orders, everyone determined to do whatever needs to be done in the Captain’s stead. Even Zenjoh stops by, giving Awashima a nod as he says that while Munakata may not have been his King he does still have in him the desire to see how Scepter 4 continues from this point on.

Heyyoo! Saw that you answered an ask regarding of Ground Zero, and I am very impressed of how you explained each chapters 👀
With curiosity, I want to know if you have any hcs regarding of backstories of some certain Kings, mainly Habari and Kagutsu?
Heya! Glad you enjoyed my incohorent ramble haha
Headcanon time? *rubs hands* You asked for it Anon.
I hc Habari to be a social butterfly in any stage of his life. He’s a cutest baby, charming toddler, playful kid, attractive teen, charismatic King. Like Munakata, I can imagine him having a normal family, was genius and over archiever too, but he doesn’t have Munakata’s awkwardness at human interaction. He was totally being animal and kids’ magnet, while Munakata’s aura draws them away (poor my King 😭). I know that makes Habari looks like a Gary Stu, but to be fair his narrative foil is literal human nuclear. Also, he was an only child, judging by his interaction with Shiotsu and Minato twins, I can’t see him having a sibling before. Zenjou was kinda.. his pet? Like serious their backstory is him finding Zenjou in a mountain and like “You’re mine now” and Zenjou dutifully followed him. He also has Blue King’s classic cryptic tendencies, but weirdly only Shiotsu and some people outside Blue clan that got annoyed with him, while others like Zenjou and Minato couple are happily don’t know and don’t care what he was talking about. He would adore Kusuhara and Kusuhara would ADORE him.
Blue clan in general have sparkly hair disease but Habari washed his fabulous locks 4 times a day with Scepter 4 special blend of shampoo. Minato twins skipped this ritual and always refused to bathe, that’s why their hairs are suck.  Remember Habari’s crop top uniform? Shiotsu persuaded him to change it, with painstaking effort. And we all should be grateful for him, because that outfit is honestly horrible. Well, at least for me. Habari loves minimalistic clothes and would hate cloak, that’s for sure.
I don’t think Habari’s sword’s name is ever mentioned (cmiiw) but Chainsaw Squad is a RAD name so Habari is also gifted with Blue King’s great sense at naming.
For Kagutsu, as I said before, it's hard for me to even see him as a person, so I can't quite imagine him as toddler, kid, or any other stage of human life except "adult and ready to erupt". But looking at how Purgatory activity and members so far weirdly attentive to women problem for a criminal organization, like freeing human trafficking women, speaking about Akio’s death highly, even one of Purgatory clansmen willingly marry a pregnant woman to help her, I kinda hc Kagutsu to have a woman he loved in the past. In this I am talking about love in broad sense, either romantic or platonic, so like mother, sister, girlfriend or else.
This segment in particular intrigued me :
Kagutsu that day was in a good mood. He took two women with him when he returned from outside, but of course, that was not the reason he was in a good mood. It always happens that Kagutsu likes women. There are a certain number of women who like dangerous men, but if it is too dangerous, some survival instinct will cause a mistake. They are happily hugged by Kagutsu and turn into corpses of joy.
LIMITED KINGSHIP, WAR STORIES: CHAPTER 5: DRUNK WITH THE KING
Yeah technically he murdered those women, but the segment clearly shows that they CONSENTED to embrace Kagutsu, Dunno if those women know that they will die in the process, but hey, Icarus amirite? It’s in their desire to like dangerous man. Also, probably just language disparities, but “hugged” is quite a weirdly innocent word to portray the last collision between a man and women?
This is so interesting for me because, actually, the writer didn’t have to do that. Kagutsu was portrayed and designed to be Pure Evil Villain who is better died, so not very jarring if they wrote Kagutsu to forcefully drag women and kill them for his own amusement. Heck, they wrote a poor clansman was purely in terror on Kagutsu’s presence in the same chapter! Yet Gora put emphasis that those women were HAPPY on the short moments they spent with Kagutsu. So, at the very least, Kagutsu is not a rapist. Also he was totally down to raid gangs that trafficked women. This trivia pushes my headcanon button but also frustrate me because so far we never get a proper interaction between any characters with Kagutsu without the said character noting how inhuman he is and how they completely don’t understand him. Like if no one inside the story can understand him, how can I? My hands are tied here 😰

Inspired by the recent ask , can we have something about burden of killing a king on Fushimi in more details ? ( the one where he kills mikoto )
Continuing with this ask, I think Fushimi would just continue to be a mess about this one for a while. As far as the burden of the physical action he's mostly fine, both arms intact and since he's not a King himself there's no worry about a second Damocles Down like what happened with Munakata either. I do like to think that there would be some physical consequences though, especially since technically the King power is such that it should be able to turn back something as simple as a sword thrust even if the King himself was willing to be stabbed. Maybe Fushimi just ends up with a lot of physical scars from what happened (I went with this idea in that one fic I wrote where Fushimi had to kill Munakata, the idea that he has scars all over his arms afterward) and of course Fushimi being Fushimi he is constantly picking at each and every one of them, not allowing them to close or to heal because he figures this is the sort of thing he deserves, more scars that don't fade.
Obviously this would affect his mental state a lot too and I imagine Munakata in particular trying to do what he can to ease that burden, still feeling the sting of his own failure in that sense because he had to let his own clansman do the duty that should have fallen on him. Fushimi likely wouldn't be very open to Munakata's efforts though, I think he would just be very focused on taking all the blame for Suoh Mikoto's death even as he tries to convince himself that this is what he wanted, that he hated Mikoto anyway and that this was almost a good thing for him that he actually got to kill that guy. Really though I could see Fushimi just having nightmares about the whole thing, recalling again and again what it was like having to be the one who ran Mikoto through, and basically doing his level best to deal by refusing to let himself actually deal with any of the emotions that keep threatening to overwhelm him because that's how Fushimi basically handles anything that requires him to confront his own feelings.
From an outside standpoint it would be interesting to see how Fushimi's viewed too in that sense, like obviously characters like Yata, Kusanagi and Anna are going to have more complicated feelings about this but I wonder if Fushimi would even find himself targeted by the Homra rank and file afterward for being 'the man who killed Mikoto-san.' On the jungle end he probably would be worth even more points and when he later joins them Sukuna is quick to point out to Hisui that this is the guy who killed a King and can they really trust him. Fushimi just leans into that again though, grinning and saying that's right, he did kill a King, and Sukuna's even more distrustful towards him – especially knowing that Fushimi was once in Homra, like now not only has he betrayed two Kings but he's killed one too. Hisui would probably be more chill about it though, like if Fushimi wants to try and kill him he's welcome to try, that's part of the game too after all. (And then imagine at the end of ROK when Anna's summoning all her power it's Fushimi who sees that vision of Mikoto, smiling at him and telling him he's fine just the way he is, and Fushimi just looks away and mutters that he won't apologize for it, and Mikoto's not forgiven for it either).

Justice for Awashima Seri
One of my latest posts made me want to re-watch K Project Return of Kings, especially Scepter 4 segment. And damn, there are so many things that happened to Awashima and frankly she didn’t deserve it. I’m not talking about GoRa’s overly disgusting fanservice attempts on Seri, although that’s indeed something that must be protested. I’m talking about how she was kept in dark by her two megane colleagues (mainly Munakata) even though she’s Second in Command of Scepter 4 and someone who has been working besides them for years. After I finished rewatching..... wow it’s worse than I remembered. My heart truly breaks for Seri, and I’m super glad that in the end she got her happy ending (by punching Munakata’s face). Like first, we know how worried she was about Munakata’s state, and after Reisaru’s fight in episode 8, Seri was so worried about Fushimi’s wellbeing and his bedding. Then at the very beginning of her role in episode 9, we have this :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For almost anyone besides Seri, maybe they will not think too much about the fact that they can’t understand what the hell are on Munakata and Fushimi’s heads, after all they’re not the easiest people to understand. But for Seri, it’s quite a new unpleasant territory for her. There’s a reason why she’s the Second in Command after Munakata, why she can easily command the rebel Fushimi without many protests from the said rebel, and why she can work alongside cryptic geniuses like Munakata and Fushimi. From R:B novel, we know that she’s an all-round achiever, but one of her main virtue is she’s goddamn observant. She more or less can understand Munakata’s unique mindset, and she mostly can see right through Fushimi’s bullshit. She more often can hit ‘100 point mark’ regarding the enigmatic Munakata and the ‘absolute tsundere’ Fushimi than any other human being except each other. Like on Munakata’s case, we have this :
Yoshino continued. “An ordinary man would have an interest in nude females, I think, but this is the Captain we’re talking about… How is it for him, what do you think?” She looked up at Awashima.
Awashima’s lips curved into a stiff smile as she took her time to think.
Then she drew a breath and, “I haven’t given that subject a thought until now. But well, if I had to answer…” She shook her head. “This is what I think: in the Captain’s case, it’s entirely possible that never once in his life he has so much as opened that kind of magazines or, alternatively, stores an entire thousand book collection of obscene materials in his room, and I won’t be surprised in the least in either case. Would this suffice as an answer?” Munakata Reishi’s right hand woman and Lieutenant, Awashima Seri, said with an even more strained smile.
Case Files of Blue Chapter 1 (and looking at how eager Munakata asked Hidaka to show his collection, suffice to say that Awashima is absolutely correct about her answer).
Awashima: But, well, for the Captain it’s probably of equal value. Fushimi: Of equal value? What is? Awashima: Protecting this country’s peace and fulfilling his promise to a kindergartener.
Optician Drama CD
And on Fushimi’s case :
“…It might not be a misunderstanding, you know. What if I were in cahoots with Homura?” he retorted, lips pursed.
For a moment, Awashima’s eyes widened slightly before narrowing to slits as she humphed letting a slight smirk tug on her lips. “Suppose there really is a traitor who’s trembling while covered in cold sweat; I’d say at the very least it’s safe to assume he’s not switching sides because he likes it. It’s time for your report. The materials are ready, I hope?”
The King and The Traitor
“It’s hard to call realistic, I have to agree with you on that. And on the off chance that it indeed is a strain’s doing, there is hardly any ground to claim harm sustained from the act. It’s the rainy season, after all. So I do find the idea of wasting time and manpower on investigating this possibility unreasonable, especially considering that we hardly have any to spare, but… if it’s an order from my superior officer, I will look into it though?”
It was said curtly and emotionlessly, but Awashima let out a little chuckle, hearing Fushimi’s answer. “Then look into it for me. Since like me, my competent and capable subordinate, too, seems to be concerned with this matter.”
Endless Rain
Also in anime, she noticed Yata’s worry for Mikoto and informed him about Mikoto’s condition to calm him. After breaking Sarumi’s fight, instead of asking apology, she demanded Fushimi to show her the result of his investigation, knowing full well that Fushimi already did some digging before he confronted Yata. She made the remark about only a King can attract another King. Heck, she already deduced that the reason why Munakata kept Zenjou-san on Scepter 4 is to kill Munakata one day, even though Munakata understandably never told anyone about it. During ROK, I kinda got feeling like Munakata and Fushimi were purposely ‘ghosting’ her, but looking at how observant she is, it’s quite understandable why Munakata and Fushimi kept Awashima in the dark to preserve their secret mission (still jerk move for them though).
I think that’s one of the reason why Fushimi gave the hint about his secret mission only to Yata. Not only Yata is his best friend, but he also can count on Yata’s insensitiveness, having been the victim first-hand in the past. Like, Fushimi who is surprisingly responsible and dutiful for his job maybe thought “it’s fine to give Misaki a hint, it’s not like he can pick it up anyway”, so he can feel ‘less guilty’ for endangering the secrecy of his mission. Not that he’s wrong though, I mean Yata you’re a good guy but I have to say you really have a fine thick-head for not noticing and still saying that Fushimi betrayed the Blues, Fushimi jumped from sinking ship after Fushimi uttered such a vague sentence and after knowing that Fushimi secretly asked your brother to quit Jungle. Thank God Munakata gave him clear explanation later. Instead for Awashima, she only got this :
Tumblr media
In that brief moment of silence, Fushimi let Awashima knew 3 things :
1. He joined Green clan and willing to attack his ‘former’ clansmen for them.
2. Not only joined Green clan, but he’s now one of J-ranker of Jungle. You know, the true Green clansmen, the one they have to be most cautious like Sukuna and Yukari.
3. He allied with one of Green clansman who participated on Anna’s kidnapping and former Scepter 4′s prisoner.
And he didn’t give Awashima and Kusanagi anything except complete silence and green-laced knife-throwing. Mission accomplished! The monkey succeeds on fooling the strong-willed and observant Lieutenant of Scepter 4. Just like the phrase “To fool your enemy, fool your friends”, there’s no way Awashima can perceive that except as complete betrayal. Haha.
Tumblr media
(Truly, Fushimi was so good at executing his job. Too good, actually).
Then, after that shocking revelation that can shake someone’s mentality, she still had duty to report it toward her superior. Look at her reaction after Munakata said things about biting the giver’s hand.
Tumblr media
(OMG watching that scene after knowing about Fushimi and Munakata’s secret mission made me truly itch to punch a certain King’s beautiful sparkly face).
She blamed herself for failing to look after Fushimi. I read some posts about Fushimi’s betrayal speculation before ROK episode 11 was aired, those who predicted that Fushimi joined Green for real, almost all expected Yata to stop Fushimi and made him go back to Scepter 4 (or Homra). While I understand the potential Sarumi heartbreaking angst and their another flashy fighting scene, I can’t help but think, can Yata do it? Not that I doubt strong bond between them, but Yata and Fushimi are equal in power. Okay, Yata is stronger in raw power, but Fushimi proved himself can accommodate his power effectively to match Yata. We know from their fight in Ashinaka Gakuen that Fushimi’s dual-color status can pass Yata’s defense, just like an attack can pass the defense from the same aura. Then Fushimi got his Green Aura. I didn’t say that Yata surely would lose to Fushimi on that situation, but it’s understandable if he lost and no one will blame him. But Seri? She’s canonly stronger than Fushimi, she’s usually can keep Fushimi on check in Scepter 4 and Seri is his direct superior after Munakata. I think if indeed Fushimi joined Green clan, the ones that have a chance to win battling him are Seri, Kusanagi, Kuro, and Kings. I can see Awashima blamed herself for failing to stop Fushimi and wanted to compensate for that failure by bringing Fushimi back to Scepter 4.
So, as if that burden is not heavy enough, Munakata brought Zenjou to his side and Awashima, who already worried about Munakata’s safety for a whole season and more, got an honor to watch on front seat as this happened :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her King had a sword pointed toward his neck, but Awashima wasn’t fast enough to even touch her saber. Munakata’s Second in Command, who just realized that preventing her King’s Damocles Down is her responsibility, was shown the fact that she was not fast enough in comparison with Zenjou. Just, let’s imagine some time between episode 9 and 11 Seri looked at her saber, lamented at the fact that she failed to stop Fushimi and she was not fast enough to fulfil her most hurtful responsibility. Imagine Seri tried to get a hold of herself, readied herself to point her sword toward her closest comrades.
Of course her torment didn’t end there. The Quack Prime Minister fired Munakata from his duty, removed him from Scepter 4. And Munakata, wordlessly, without giving any words or announcements toward his clansmen...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(SERIOUSLY GIVE HER A BREAK! MUNAKATAAAAA!!!!)
I feel like that scene is the peak of Munakata’s “ghosting” toward Awashima. Not to mention, her (and Scepter 4) next order is :
Tumblr media
(Help! My poor clueless ducklings are trapped while their genius jerk megane superiors are carelessly walking toward suicide plans!).
Honorary mention for the rest of poor lost ducklings :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes, Munakata, you can’t just leave without any words toward your clansmen. Especially when you literally walked toward your death).
Tumblr media
(BTW the meaning of “one unthinkable thing happening after another” is Fushimi’s betrayal followed by Munakata’s resignation. Little appreciation that they thought Fushimi’s betrayal is “unthinkable thing” even though the fact that Fushimi’s status as Homra’s “traitor” is widely known in Scepter 4).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Zenjou-san and the rest of Scepter 4 are not amused by your secret plan shenanigans, Munakata and Fushimi. Zenjou thought that those jerks truly ruin meganes’ reputation. Unbeknown to him, Enomoto thought the same).
Well, we know what happened after this. Seri and the rest of Special Squad got their first clue about what the heck is happened from a freaking TV, they rushed toward their King, the show was shifted to Silvers and Reds and NO SCEPTER 4 REUNION OR SETTLEMENT EVEN THOUGHT GORA CRAFTED SUCH A BIG AND COMPLEX CONFLICT IN SCEPTER 4.
Well, at least Seri got to punch Munakata in the face, even though in my opinion she truly deserved more after all the shits she had been through.

What if the body switch strain is at work again, this time switching the characters with the same seiyuu, like say for example Hieda and Weismann, Zenjou and Mikoto, Hidaka and Kuro? I see that they involved more of the Blue. How will Munakata deal with them?
Somehow I’m imagining Weismann and Hieda being bodyswitched andWeismann is just like ‘ah, this feels familiar’ while poor Hieda’slike wait he’s going to give it back right (actually this mightexplain why Shiro’s always using Hieda’s body even in the post-ROKofficial art, it’s all the body switch Strain’s fault!). Presumablythis would also have to be a 'nobody dies’ AU or else Zenjou’sswitching bodies with a corpse and that would probably be less thanideal. So maybe post-ROK everyone lives AU and the body switch Strainhas noticed that some of these guys chasing after him seem to havesimilar sounding voices and he decides just for fun to switch themall. Shiro I can see just laughing all amused and totally unconcernedthat he stole Hieda’s body again, especially since Hieda gets to keepShiro’s body this time so at least it wasn’t entirely thievery, right. Neko probably likes this too, like her Shiro came back andHieda’s watching totally confused as Neko tackle hugs his body andacts like everything has suddenly gone back to normal even thoughthis should all be new and weird. Shiro decides it would be fun topretend to be a student again for a day and Hieda just waves hishands and says he’s no good at speaking German so many he should juststay here for now.
Of course just as the Silvers are starting to feel like things havegone back to normal in a weird way Kuroh suddenly gets bodyswitchedwith Hidaka and now he just feels totally out of place. Maybe theinitial bodyswitch takes place really suddenly too so one momentKuroh is himself and the next moment Hidaka-in-Kuroh’s-body is tryingvery hard not to look at Neko’s breasts. Neko sees him with a funnyexpression and comes forward wondering why Kurosuke looks pale all ofa sudden, the moment she breathes her chest bounces and Hidaka isjust internally dying because he should not be looking at high schoolgirl boobs but they’re right there and he has to sit on hishands in order to hold back the desire to squeeze. Neko’s right upnext to him when they hear an 'ahem’ and look up to seeKuroh-in-Hidaka’s-body standing there with a stern look. Hidaka triesto explain and probably almost gets thrown out, Neko is all confusedand Shiro is impressed by how tall Kuroh suddenly is.
Eventually Hidaka heads back to Scepter 4, probably a bit worriedabout leaving his body behind with the Silvers (he has some naturalreflexes that can’t be controlled okay, as Kuroh finds out when hesuddenly finds himself squeezing various round fruits withoutintending to while cooking). Munakata would probably enjoy the sightof 'Kuroh’ in a Scepter 4 uniform, Hidaka enjoys it rather lessbecause it’s hard for him to wield his sword in this body – thoughat least he’s able to draw the sword, he argues that it won’t workbecause it’s voice activated and someone points out that Hidaka’snormal body and the black dog do have similar voices so itshould work fine right. Imagine him asking Enomoto and Benzai forhair tips too, Hidaka’s not used to having such long and silky hairand he doesn’t know how to handle things like needing to actuallybrush his hair in the morning.
Of course Scepter 4’s having more problems than Hidaka too, sinceZenjou and Mikoto switched bodies and Mikoto probably didn’t feellike walking all the way back to Bar Homra so 'Zenjou’ appears to benapping on Munakata’s desk. Zenjou-in-Mikoto’s-body is trying to getused to having two arms again and he also probably suddenly findshimself accidentally scaring random members even more than when hewas his normal self, like someone comes down to the recordsdepartment and there’s the former Red King drinking tea and petting acat and they almost have a heart attack. Mikoto meanwhile gets tostick around and bug Munakata, Munakata notes that it seems Mikoto’swork ethic does not improve regardless of what body he’s in. Mikotoshrugs and tries to light a cigarette before remembering that Zenjouonly has one arm and he’s gonna need some help on that end. Maybe atsome point he does try to go back to Homra and ends up accidentallyscaring a couple of the Homra alphabet boys, turns out Mikoto’s usualneutral expression looks pretty scary when plastered on the face of'the demon’ Zenjou Gouki.
