random redacted headcanons :3 ⭐️

- Geordi has read the harry potter series three times and when Cutie does something that aligns with their house he points it out in his mind. Cutie responds with a sideways glare LMAO (speaking of Geordi, i miss that guy:( i was listening to his playlist earlier today)

- Guy plants little love notes all around his and Honey’s apartment for them to find. he pretends he doesn’t know that they keep every single one and reads them often.

- Asher is on the super possessive side when it comes to Baaabe. he just hides it because he feels embarrassed by it.

- David still thinks about Angel’s cat and secretly wishes they were able to take it when they had the chance (“if we keep it it’s your cat, not mine” my ass)

- Milo breaks into dance randomly. with no music. in public or in private, it does not matter. he will think of a song in his head and bust a move.

- Damien is desperately trying to get Huxley into Resident Evil

- Damien loves Leon Kennedy just as much as the next guy, but his favorite character is Luis :3

- Lasko has his nipples pierced. idk it just seems like something he’d do

- Gavin walks around without pants often. Freelancer has had to tell him on multiple occasions to put pants on when the guys are over. he, in true Magnus Bane fashion, likes wearing a formal button down + blazer combo with no pants (he actually pulls it off surprisingly well) ((he IS wearing underwear))

- Huxley collects chapsticks. i’m not elaborating.

- if Hush was an aquatic creature, he would be a mako shark :3

- Sam has Kiss’ entire discography. he grew up listening to them over the years and it reminds him how far he had come in life

- Vincent sometimes dresses up for the hell of it, crown and all, and makes Lovely dress up with him and takes pictures. it has to be a VERY specific kind of mood and a very specific kind of day.

- William and the other elder vampires like David Bowie…those are just the vibes i get

- Caelum loves throwing dance parties with Gavin and Freelancer. they have never turned him down. when an “inappropriate” song comes on, Caelum sits with his mouth wide open and giggles to himself in disbelief. (“they said too many bad words…execute them” - caelum probably)

these are just random and stupid and they made me giggle

He loves every goth style that you choose and will not question you and no matter what part of the style you prefer.

Lucifer does listen to the music you play and sometimes would ask if he can join in or share headphones/airpods (ykwim).

If you do your makeup, he'd secretly glances at you from his desk. Probably trying to be subtle too 😭

💛 Mammon

Will swoon. Will be lovestruck. Will be in awe. Mams in LOVE.

of course this mf wouldn't show it (it's obvious though). Would ask alot of question like your color palette or why you like this style and basically just loves to hear you talk about it.

He doesn't mind metal/dark music and is open to listening to the playlist you have or even the one you made for him!

If you try to get him going to the cemetery or basically doing some scary stuff like even going to a so called 'haunted house' or a scary escape room it'll be a huge no no for him, even if he did go mams wouldn't be much help as he'll only be loud.

I dont think Satan really listens to music but he does like to write/read and literature generally so maybe dark poems are things you guys can do.

Literature isn't really his thing but probably watches and admires you while you're doing it.

Will try matching you clothes with his own color palette and asks your opinion on it.

He doesn't mind it tbh, since i like to think that his twin also has a similar style.

Belphie always asked you to dress him up or pick his clothes jusy cause he's too lazy to do it himself 💀.

Permission Playlist!

So I‘ve tried to put together the songs which inspired me the most or that I remember vividly listening to, while writing chapters!

A lot of them just served to put me into a certain mood, so the lyrics don‘t necessarily match up, but the lyrics of most of the songs played a huge role. You might recognise some of them even 😋

Other than that, I want to give a little direction here, that you know which songs belong to which parts of the story, since sometimes they guided me for a whole chapter, sometimes a whole song for just a short moment! Sometimes the songs describe y/n’s point of view, but sometimes Sukuna’s too!

I’ve been writing Permission for over a year, so I probably won’t remember everything, but these were the most important ones I remember! I also tried to put them into order of when they fit into their moments or chapters:

Song 1-15 (Wicked Games - Jenny Of Oldstones)

I listened to those songs mainly when I was planning the whole story. To give me moods, themes, emotions that I want to convey. I listened to the Game Of Thrones Soundtrack a lot in general, but those songs I listed in there were the ones who inspired me the most!

Fun fact here: Mado Kara Mieru from Christopher Tin was the one which gave me the most inspiration for how Sukuna’s melody would’ve sound like.

Song 16 (Serj Tankian - Rains of Castamere)

Basically my Soundtrack for Chapter 13 and especially the throne room scene, when the new girl arrives and Sukuna invites her in.

Song 17 - 21 (Obsessed - Entitled)

Those songs guided me from the moment when Sukuna saves y/n from the curses until the end of the camping arc. I don’t recall listening to music a lot during that time of writing, cause I acquired that skill only later 🌝

Honorable mentions here:

Zandros - Obsessed was for me the moment y/n sees Sukuna standing over her after killing the curses, seeing the snow flakes crash against his body. Idk this song carried the mood for me.

Adin - Somebody Else was one of the few songs that I connected with Sukuna’s pov.

Song 22 - 23 (Crash and Burn - Breathe)

Those songs described for me the moment when they return to the shrine and long for each other, before y/n gains the courage to knock on his door in chapter 24.

Song 24 Max Richter - On The Nature Of Daylight

I don’t remember clearly, but I think I listened to this to get in a sad mood to describe y/n’s pain when Sukuna left for war and she misses him dearly.

A good song in general to get a fucking sad mood tbh.

Song 25 - 27 (The Way - Violently)

Oh those were the songs I listened to when y/n follows him into the war. Chapter 29 & 30 all the way.

Zack Hemsey - The Way was perfect to listen to when she realises, she’s close to Sukuna and the war is starting. This remix with the sirens was perfect for me to visualise how she’s running over that battlefield, dodging the bombs, fighting her way through. It’s still such an epic scenery in my head which I hope I could convey!

Jayme Deville - Right on Time kinda gave me slow motion pictures in my head, for when Sukuna approaches her during battle.

Mira - Violently is such an incredible song for me. It describes her whole journey and emotions so so good. I listened to it when I wrote the kissing scene, but it grew to be a super important song for their whole relationship, that’s why I would choose it for a rolling credit song hehe.

Song 28 - 31 (The Shadows - Take Me Back To Eden)

Those were all the songs which inspired me for the Sex Scene when Sukuna returns from war in Chapter 32.

Honorable mention here:

Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden just IS the moment for me when y/n notices, that Sukuna stayed in her room and he opens his eyes to her.

The lyrics

My, my, those eyes like fire

I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre

just describe the effect that Sukuna (and his gaze and eyes) have on y/n (and on me tbh) so perfectly, that I needed to add that to the rolling credit choice as well.

Song 32 - 33 (O Saki Saki - Lahu Munh Lag Gaya)

Heh! Chapter 33, the festival! I actually planned to have a dancing scene with y/n and other people from the festival, kinda Bollywood style, to impress our Lord and Saviour Sukuna! 😆

However, since that requires A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL of writing skill, I decided to leave it. The Songs still served me perfectly well to get in the mood for a cool ass festival atmosphere for a cool ass King!

Song 34 Clann - Her & the Sea

Chapter 35, when Sukuna and y/n talk on the bridge. Just that moment and atmosphere.

Song 35 - 36 (Timeout - You Thought)

Mood Songs for when y/n is gonna find out that Sukuna fucked around when he was in war. No particular moment here, but served me to get into her emotional state.

Song 37 - 41 (Ecstasy - Luscious)

Again mood songs for sex scenes after Sukuna’s confession in Chapter 36.

I think I listened to Ecstasy and All I Need by The MXXNLIGHT for the Throne Sex in Chapter 25 as well.

Song 42 Clann - She Loves The Rain

I think this one explains itself…Dancing in the rain with Sukuna in Chapter 44.

Song 43 - 44 (Fatal Attraction - Obsession)

Again mood songs for their overall relationship, that represent how knee deep y/n is in love with Sukuna.

Song 45 Mira - Thorns

Oh Mira, how I love her music. That song was published a few chapters before I was ready to write Akiko’s murder, but it described y/n’s reaction regarding Sukuna’s apathy so perfectly in Chapter 45. My heart ached so much when I listened to it the first time!

Fun fact here: The moment when Sukuna reveals that he was pushing the maids with motivation, was actually planned to be directly after Akiko’s death. I noticed in the early draft of that chapter, that it doesn’t work out and decided last minute to completely change that plan and to write that moment into the finale of the story.

Song 46 - 48 (Blood Code - Cold Blooded)

My soundtrack for y/n’s killing spree in Chapter 46 😆

Song 49 Zandros - Look What You’ve Done To Me

Mood Song for the aftermath of Sayako’s death and y/n’s feelings about coming a monster in Chapter 47

my take on sagau ... ♡

if you cant tell , my mental sillies make me a sucker for the obsessive cult aspect of sagau (burn me at the stake i guess) but idk the whole "imposter" thing feels weirdddddd i always prefer creator!reader to be like isekai'd into teyvat yk (can you tell i used to be obsessed with the kuroshitsuji time travel au .....) ?? anyways have this while i decide if i want this to be a full series or just a mini series

r is visiting mondstadt and plays minecraft songs on the lyre and everyone goes CRAZYYYY

"it's their divinity's holy songs!!!!" cue the inner giggling cause its literally just minecraft music you memorized in like middle school

r is lowkey a huge flirt too once they get comfortable in teyvat ( they most likely hope this is just a dream and when they return home if they return home ...... that it'll have no real consequence cause it's EMBARASSINGGGG )

overlooking the whole imposter or villain au's i like to think being isekai'd into teyvat would be pretty chill

So I think he tries to portray himself as always being strong and capable

And I think this might lead them to believe heeseung doesn’t trust them

But in reality heeseung just doesn’t want them to worry:(

To make that his main thing instead of the mood maker

I think sometimes jay just wishes he could play a different role in the group

He tries to make up for it by being a person the others can rely on to keep them stable and comforted

But I feel like he still feels a bit unworthy, or that someone who trained longer or had more experience should have debuted instead of him

The pressure that he felt from being a figure skater didn’t leave when he became an idol

Since some people attributed his success as a figure skater to his looks

He is worried that people will do the same now

So he constantly tries to be perfect at everything else so people can't say that

Like in the bts test he wasn’t seen as a rival

Out of all the enhypen members, I think he is the most secretive

In the sense that you can’t read him as easily as the others

He is very good at hiding what he thinks and feels

He can never be good enough by his own standards

And it is eating him alive

You guys saw that recent -note right? He doesn’t see his own progress

Niki can’t recognize his growth and development because he only focuses on what he can improve on

And while wanting to improve is a good thing, I think niki takes it too far to where it is going to harm him if it hasn’t already

Niki is another member who was forced to mature wayyy too quickly

People tend to forget that he is just a kid, and even in i-land they didn’t treat him like one

Others in i-land saw his talent in dancing and viewed him as a rival instead of a child, who was still growing and easily affected by his surroundings

Niki needs to be able to act like a kid and laugh and do childish things while he still can

I think heeseung and jake help him remember that and I’m glad they remind him that it’s okay to mess around and have fun

Sometimes people think I'm crazy because I don't really hear lyrics when I listen to music so all my playlists are built on VIBES ONLY. Marius playlist is like: Music That Could Be the Score of an Existential Crisis When You've Lived in Centuries of Darkness and Also Have Trauma From That Time You Were Murdered By a Pagan Cult. Any time I'm listening to music in the wild and I hear this vibe, it gets dropped into this playlist, regardless of lyrical content LOL.

The neofolk half of it speaks for itself, I think. I've also written meta about how I think black metal feels tonally appropriate for the Ancients. And like neofolk is one of those genres where like, so many of the fans are metalheads LOL. (I mean i got into Wardruna because of Gaahl haha it started there). And like I absolutely lose my mind over like pagan black metal/blackened folk metal where they bring in all the historical instrumentation into the metal like HJDKALGDS THE TEXTURE, I DIE, it's my fav genre of music. And it's just so incredibly bleak, but also so patient. It feels so heavy and existential and full of dread!!!!!!!! 😍 And thinking in a vampire context it's like ANCIENT OLD TRAUMA!!!! Bad memories from CENTURIES AGO. Idk man it just feels so good.

It's frustrating because like all the EXTREMELY SPOOKY ANCIENT MOOD MUSIC tends to be Nordic and I wish I could find some what had more Italian influence (this is a thinly veiled rec request if anyone has any) because every time I do go down the rabbithole and look for Italian neofolk it isn't what I'm looking for. I need like that deep terrifying Wardruna sound you know? It's gotta be out there, I will keep searching!!!!!!!!!!

There's some Balkan & Greek bands in there which are so great (Negură Bunget & Rotting Christ lol) and I have to go back and drop in more Karl Sanders for Akasha vibes lol. There are some really cool Middle Eastern metal bands too that use cool instrumentation (thinking of Melechesh) but they're not gloomy enough LOL. I need to go take a stroll and see if I can find some spooky stuff. And there's some really great Greek pagan/folk which probably is similar to what I'm trying to find but I'm looking for like the more neofolky half, like I need Greek Wardruna LOL.

But I really love most genres of music as long as it's gloomy and like the overlap of neofolk with pagan/black metal is like the perfect type of gloomy for me hasdkjga AND LIKE WHEN IM DAYDREAMING ABOUT MARIUS IT FEELS REALLY GOOD BECAUSE THE SOUNDS FEEL SO ANCIENT. And bands like Wardruna and Heilung give me so many God of the Grove feelings it just makes me think about the cult trauma. 🍿 (even if the regions are a little inaccurate please let me live, I'm doing my best with what I can find.)

Oh i hardly ever write without listening to some music! I often have specific playlists for the stories, that just come together spontaneously? Like, i put that song on while writing, that this other one, without thinking too much of it and then put them all together... some are deliberately fitting and some are just random, not really connected to anything in the story, but when i hear them i get in the right writing mood anyway, idk if that makes sense 😅 because they make me calm, or sad, or deeply happy inside, or whatever...

Oh. Let's see... what classifies as lovely? I don't write fluff, i am really not gifted in that way, i'm rather bittersweet and angsty... 🙈 but i write quite a lot about love, if that counts...^^

Once i had a friend proofread one fic and her feedback actually helped me change one part of it for the better! But i usually don't have my writing proofread. i discuss the ideas sometimes, or share a snippet just for the sake of it...

I feel like he would love heavy metal,goth metal, death metal and nu metal. I already made playlist for heavy metal and nu metal since these two are my fav type of metal and I can see it as his playlist too. You can check it out if you want

Thanks for the ask! Hmm I don’t know much about types of music so we’ll see how this goes :)

Bruce: I mean cmon he’s so punk rock and emo. MCR and Nirvana! He doesn’t have to listen to Alfred when he’s listening to this. They understand what it’s like! He is the darkness. He is vengeance. He has a dark playlist for when he broods and looks like a wet dog. (Battinson)

Dick: Pop. He likes the catchy songs but doesn’t pay attention to the lyrics. Anything fast paced bc energy! He can’t sit through slow songs unless he’s really tired or feeling down. He listens to fast pop songs to raise his mood. Catch him humming or singing the top 10 catchy songs of the year and he’ll make it stuck in your head because it’s always stuck in his. When he was younger it was songs from musicals or Disney movies.

Jason: Rock music/heavy metal- anything with drums and guitar (Metallica & Skillet are his top). Also have a hc that he plays violin and piano and loves classical bc he’s soft and who wouldn’t want to dance at a ball like in the 1800s??. Also he’s a Swiftie and has a custom made shirt that says The old Jason can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Cus he’s dead. (Steph got it for him. Bruce was not pleased).

Cass: Everything really because she hadn’t been able to listen to music really until she was adopted. Mostly going through Bowie, the Beatles and ABBA. She tries to read and learn the lyrics of the ones she especially likes the sound of. When she just wants to wind down though she enjoys watching the choreographed dances.

Duke: Pop and hip hop. Queen is his favourite. He remembers the words to pretty much all the songs. Don’t Stop Me Now is his favourite and when ever he’s told not to do something by Bruce he just says “Don’t stop me don’t stop me don’t stop me” like Freddie Mercury.

Steph: Swiftie through and through. (The whole Batfamily are pretty much). She unapologetically listens to 1D and 5SOS sometimes and teaches Cass about them. Also likes rock and songs with bass. Generally depends what mood she’s in but the songs with the good vibes (& meaningful lyrics) are what she loves most.

Tim: K-pop, any kind. Idk I just see it like that. The words sound pretty and besides he’s learning Korean anyway. Occasionally will listen to 1D for the nostalgia. There was a time he liked young Justin Bieber songs but we don’t talk about that. Sad songs too bc why not.

Damian: Tim got him into K-pop. Specifically BTS and BlackPink. Other than that he prefers to listen to ambient sounds or white noise to block out the sounds of the imbeciles in his life.

Alfred: Opera? Classical maybe. Something fancy since he’s a fancy guy. Would actually love it if he secretly likes pop or rock. He’s sick of metal tho because Master Bruce has played it for too long on repeat and too loud.

27. What do you listen to while writing?

Whew. Any and all music lol. So like the only thing Lebron James and I probably have in common is that we both still listen to Pandora lol. What can I say? It’s free. I never really bothered with Spotify, but I have a Slacker account ‘cause it’s like $4 a month for no commercials, and I never cancelled my free trial. Btw I don’t even know what Slacker is really called at this point, but I know it’s not Slacker anymore lol. According to Slacker’s end of year thingy which I guess is akin to Spotify’s wrapped lol, my top 3 artists were: The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Mariah Carey and my top 3 songs were “Heart of Gold” by Neil Young, “Everybody Plays the Fool” by The Main Ingredient, and “California Dreamin’” by the Mamas & the Papas - I don’t know how accurate I find any of those, but they aren’t wrong either 😂

Though I do have fics (tentatively) titled Everybody Plays the Fool, and Heart of Gold, and Jealous Guy in my Google docs, so…

Anywho, so I’m a big oldies girl, so I’m usually listening to my oldies station on Slacker, clearly 😂. When I was writing Stolen Moments I listened to 90s R&B playlists on Pandora & Slacker a lot. Sometimes I’ll put on YouTube and let them make me a playlist. Ooo I really like searching a random year’s Billboard 100 on YouTube and listening to it while I write. Like I’ll just type in “1985 Billboard Hot 100” and some wonderful soul will have posted it. Hmm when I was writing Your Secrets are Safe with Me, I probably listened to Alicia Keys’ “Diary” approximately fifty times. The song itself has zero to do with the plot, but it was putting me in the mood of that story for some reason lmaoo.

Okay, so my answer ended up being long winded af, sorry 😂 I should’ve just stuck to my original answer of anything. But, I’ll wrap it up by saying I love music, and I encourage everyone to actually look up and listen to every song I’ve referenced in a fic, or used as a title to a fic. Not to toot my own horn, but I listen to nothing but bops!

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

Hmm. I have no idea if this is what the question was looking for, but I’ve probably been most surprised by how much I’ve written, but haven’t posted/shared. You’d never know it from ao3, but I’ve worked on quite a few fics this year, but I’ve been in almost no hurry to finish them. Now compare that to last year when I finished and posted at least one fic to ao3 each month except January. Idk I guess I’m just sort of surprised by the more relaxed approach I’ve taken while writing this year, and how fine I am with leaving something in the drafts these days. Like maybe it’ll get done, maybe it won’t lol, but I’m gonna have fun writing it anyway and not stress too much about how it unfolds 🤷🏾‍♀️

i have read trc and td3!! i started it a couple months before graywaren came out so i just kinda charged through the series. i liked it a lot but not in a way that inspired the Crazy in me, though my gf is really obsessed with it rn which me think about rereading it sometimes lol.

i think i love them all tbh! the characters are just so good. blue & gansey made me ache, def the best romance in all of them and just really cool characters especially blue. unpopular opinion i know but i am not always the biggest ronan fan in the world even though i recognize he's kinda going thru it LOL. it seems like he should be my kind of guy bc i loooove a character that hates himself but i think i just was not really on his level for some reason idk. and i appreciate the complexity of adam a lot! in some ways i liked td3 more than trc because i think hennessy is the best character in the whole trc universe, and i love my babygirl declan, and jordan & hennessy's relationship is sooooo powerful. i also think i was more interested in the plot of td3 -- at least the journey, with all the sweetmetals and heist vibes, if not the destination (was not a fan of the last half of greywaren lol).

and of course the prose and mood are just breathtaking. i rmr reading blue lily, lily blue in the fall when it was lightly raining but warm enough that i had my window open a little bit... and i had a candle burning and was listening to this playlist... life was so good.
