oh i am an animal i don't think i have good taste i have the taste of someone who's always horny and a teeeeny tiny bit fucked in the head jcsgbhy but i'm honored you asked and i'll share<33 you said you don't care if it's more smut or more plot so i didn't worry too much about that 👍

rick and morty:

bitter and begging - FAVE.. after the jealousy and possessiveness in vindicators 3 (the episode with the avengers copies that morty is enamoured with. who rick slaughters when he's off his shit and then covertly confesses how much he loves morty basically). this one really got me i think i cried because it's all so sad but um. full of love

that's my boy - this is the first of a series, i like that it's the start of.. the sexual abuse and they're still uncertain like i enjoy the in-betweens and when lines are crossed

love is a solitary thing - this one i love so much, it's about morty's fantasies and unrequited feelings for rick

safe - gen, morty starts talking with another morty whose rick rescues mortys from abusive ricks. i always really liked how the multiverse is like a prism? you can explore the different facets of their relationship and the possibilities and the extremes through it, you can have your characters meet their worst and their best versions, i just think selves from different dimensions are a great tool. in storytelling. and eliciting emotions. anyway rovingotter is fucking solid here

hands - a favorite.. the atmosphere... "He wonders if he'll still be sitting here in ten years, handing Rick his screwdrivers, feeling that hot instinctive rush of pleasure at knowing what Rick is going to ask from him before he even asks: bred for it."

the shape you made me - morty's stream of consciousness. i usually don't give stuff like this a chance but when i tell you that this affected me. because fuck it did affect me

the damage has been done - um..... internal cardiac massage fic 🥴

repurposed - "Is it ethical to leave the horrors of the universe at a boy's fingertips?"

and last but NOT least there's this series that i haven't read in full, just a little bit broken, that fucking killed me. tbh! i sobbed at some parts legitimately. maybe that's just on me i don't know maybe it isn't. the first 5 are crazy. admittedly alcoholism runs in my family too (lol!) and their relationship is so tragic.... this fic is about when rick quite literally stole the kid's dreams, concocted an entire plan to erode morty's love of heists and make him stop writing his heist movie script (and having any aspirations or plans outside of rick). when i watched that episode these are exactly the emotions i wanted more of.. it's madness......

- Okay I lied I said this list had no particular order but this is actually my favorite samdean fic. I can't even put into words why. Just thinking about it makes me emotional. Beautifully written.

- Summary: A genuine horror story.

- 10,272 words

- A four words long summary and no tags. I don't want to say much because going in blind is the best thing you can do. Outsider's point of view. Incredibly well written. One of those fics I'll never forget

- Summary: Sam watched Dean hack up firewood with his hatchet. The magically-induced heat wave had his shirt soaked with sweat.

“Did you ever have a, uh… experimental phase?” Sam smacked his lips, trying to think of a diplomatic way to phrase it. “That kid—by which I mean you—has been staring. At me. Kind of a lot.”

(Sam and Dean get sent back to 1996 and go on a hunt with their teenaged selves. The kids don't know who they are.)

- I mean if you haven't read anything by applecrumbledore yet what are you doing with your life ! This fic was so much fun to read, I was completely hooked from the very beginning. The angst, the smut, the characterizations... soo good. I'll re-read it soon

- If you like to read about sam having an ed this is the fic for you. Ofc keep in mind the triggering potential of this topic as it is a central part of the story. Very sad but it has a happy hopeful ending. The story starts when they're younger, pre-series (pining!sam but no weecest) and then spans over several seasons. There's a really short second part that's so good too

14. what’s your worst writing habit?

it's easy to say "not writing" in response to this, but i'll move past the easy answer to say: i believe i HIGHLY overthink my sentence structure ALL the time. like. i'll be like "okay so this was a compound complex sentence, lot of clauses... i need to break it up with a single clause sentence" and sometimes this works well but other times it restricts me and makes the words feel Artificial™️

LITERALLY ONE OF THEM IS YOU LMAO...... your augustine palamedes fic kinda. rewired my brain chemistry a little.

i don't usually subscribe to people on ao3, though, so it's hard to name some right off the bat, but i know one is bittybelle (who wrote two absolutely bonkers good john/alecto fics), one is anirondack (who wrote some absolutely bonkers good izzy hands fics that satisfied the our flag means death side of my brain) and another is candle_beck, specifically for writing "the narrator" which is an insanely genius acd holmes fic.

Oh my god, everyone look away i'm about to post 500 words.

I thought the film was hilarious, it was all fun and games until the bittersweet end. I thought butch and sundance were such bastards (affectionate), and sundance was such an ass, loved all of his bitter remarks. We didn't really get proper backstory on these guys and we kinda get thrown into their world, but they're very fun to follow, also huge boyfriends energy and I feel like the subtext was so heavy handed lmao maybe i'm projecting my gay wishful thinking everywhere but.. everyone i ever heard talking about these two knows it, so it can't be just me.  

My favorite bits: 

The fight scene in the beginning where one of the members of the gang wants to lead instead of butch. especially "when it's done, if i'm dead – kill him” - "love to" *waves*, very sexy moment.  

When the cops in the street try to get people to come help fight the hole in the wall gang and butch and sundance watch it all from the nearest balcony lmao. Then butch kisses a woman and sundance is like I have to leave immediately skjfhkajs that bit is so..... okay.

When they're robbing a train, and a woman comes out saying "i'm a grandmother and a female and i've got my rights" 

When butch is once again about to hook up and sundance says don't ask me to stay sjkhfkjash okay. 

When they ride on one horseback together, and when they ride on 2 horses but as close as possible. and from all of their convos it's like have you guys ever attempted to do anything separately... 

When they're trying to see who's after them from very far away and they're like do you see he's wearing a white straw hat 

When they jump into the river, sexy moment.

My all time favorite bit was the montage in the middle of the 3 of them in new york, other cities possibly idk. it was so funny bc it's literally always the 3 of them together in every image ejkafhkjs. Cause that's not weird or anything. Then some kind of party and the camera pan from sad butch to sundance and etta, like ok.... did he cry. 

When they tried to rob a bank and read the script for the robbery from a piece of paper cause no hablo español 

The last shootout and them continuing their stupid banter till the end, i'm so fond of them.://////// stop giving each other sweet looks, u're being shot at ://// 

Also considering it's from 1969, i think it aged really well 

Lastly, i'm ashamed to say but i've not read on the dodge by our lord and savior candle beck, but obviously now i must.
