Okay so I'll try to make it as simple and short as possible, for me the most logical way to manifest is REPETITION by repeating any affirmations over and over again it has no option but to manifest either a thought or a visual representation of your manifestation. So I've been repeating this one scenario in my head for around 2 years like the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep this specific scenario has been looping in my mind non stop even when I gave up on manifestation I quite all technique and everything I still used to loop this visuals (video) where I've everything I want like rn I'm thinking as if, I don't do this to get something I genuinely love doing this (acting as if/ visualizing) because obviously that gives me happiness my question here is why my subconscious is not reprogrammed yet when every second evey hour there is only scene in my head I don't get this and now finally I'm so hopeless and actually want a answer. Whether you believe it or not repetition is the key if you repeat something over and over and over and over and over again our brain creates new neural pathway and then it will show up in our reality. Then what the fuck is wrong with me

from what I'm reading, you've been looping this scenario in your head for 2 years and are still looking for it. you already seemingly have read and taken the advice of repetition, acting as it, etc.
I'll be honest, I'm worried for you so I'm gonna go back to basics.
Are you viewing this reality as "It's mine now" or do you view it as something you're chasing?
Steps to Take:
take a break. seriously. take a break.
take stock of what has happened in your life within the 2 yrs you've been manifesting it - have there been small changes? have you been experiencing at the minimum, some of your desired reality?
take time to refocus on YOU. sit down, make a mind map of who YOU are and then make a separate one for your dream reality and see if they're truly different
treat yourself the same way the version of you in that reality would, just to jolt yourself in the feeling of living in the end and not just imagination, sometimes ppl need a lil 3D encouragement. for example, if the version of you always gets what they want, go into a store and buy your favorite snack just because. practice feeling good about your life.
even if you know what to do, going back and reading Neville Goddard or listening to edward art on youtube is helpful.

so this past weekend was the bendigo sheep and wool show, and i'm finally feeling human enough to talk about what i bought?
spoiler: so many.
we went on friday, which i think was smart--it's a huge event, and i imagine it only got way more busy once the weekend hit, plus i really, really needed several days of recovery time afterwards. i think i slept something like fourteen hours after we got home on friday, and spent the rest of the weekend in bed.
incredibly worth it, though.
there was so much fibre!!! and yarn, though surprisingly, we came home with no new yarn.

very importantly, there was also a twisty potato on a stick. i should have eaten another twisty potato on a stick.
before we went, we talked about reasonable things to buy and limits about what we could purchase, and we stuck to that. except--and this is important--my wife's birthday is this week, and obviously when you're both real weird about fibre stuff, you get fibre stuff presents, but it's stupid to buy things online when you know that you're going to be there in person, touching things with your hands, literally the weekend before birthday time. so i didn't, and instead created a clever backdoor into oops! it's all reasonable, it's a birthday present! i'm a genius.
so we got some spindles, obviously. these are half mine, but after i lost my spindles in a move, we've only had two mediaeval style ones and obviously needed more.

they were all made locally and (other than the 3d printed one) with native woods, which i thought was neat. the biggest of them is still under 40 grams, so they're all pretty small. (which was the point.)
on the birthday present side of things, we came home with some tablet weaving cards and a little shuttle for them. i was really excited to find these, because looking online for people who made nice ones but would ship here was... like, i'd found options, but i didn't love them. the guy who makes them apparently has no website but specialises in making mediaeval games and weapons, and was convinced to make fibre tools by a friend.

I've been in this community for a little over a year now, I've seen many many posts and I have listened to Nevilles lectures, I was even in your twitter group! I've tried lots of different techniques,I know the law is real because I have proven it to myself before. Some manifestations are starting to feel more like coincidences though and I find myself over-analysing those moments. For example, my mom only ever buys cheddar cheese. I spent a few minutes just thinking about how nice it would be to have brie instead. I could see it in the kitchen and I remembered how it tasted from when I tried it at a friend's house years ago. I didn't mention it to her or anyone else and knowing my moms usual habits, it wasn't very likely to happen. But it did and she came home with some brie yesterday.
I'm glad it worked but I already know how to manifest things like this(cheese, getting takeout for dinner, new shoes etc) but I'd like to move past this point and manifest other things. In my mind, I'm wealthy, I live in my own home, I'm healthy and fit, I can drive, I have a well paying remote job and I'm an excellent college student with great friends. In the 3d, I consider myself lucky because I do have great friends, but I can't talk to them as much because they have moved on and are having experiences that I can't relate to and are living their best lives and I'm getting left behind. I love that for them, I'm happy they're happy, I don't want that to change, I just want to be happy with them. I have no issue with them growing and changing and making new friends, I just want to be able to do that too.
However, I'm not allowed to work, I have already missed out on a year of college even though all of my other friends have finished their first year because my parents can't afford it and need a grant from the government. I can't get a job and pay for it myself because I'm an immigrant and my status means I can stay here but can't work, vote or really do much to make a living for myself and I can't go back to my home country, I have no prospects there and I haven't been there since I was 7 or 8. I have been trying for so long to manifest full citizenship. I used to take a break and manifest things like my mom bringing home cake for no reason or my friends letting me know they were thinking of me while they were out living their lives but it's just not enough anymore. I'm grateful I got to experience those things but I really need this citizenship so I can live and take care of myself and not feel so trapped. I've been here for 11 years now, almost 12. I have no resistance about being a citizen and fitting in. Most of my education, my friends and my es are from here. I don't feel like an imposter. I have no doubt that I should be a citizen by now but I'm not for reasons I don't understand.
All I know is that I could have been but my mom wanted to get hers first and then apply for mine because "it would be easier" and I accepted that because it was 5 years ago and I didn't think I'd be expected to handle such matters while juggling school and all of my other activities. I know it's important and something I should have paid more attention to but I was only 14 and thought it would be handled by the time I went to college. I turned 18, she got her citizenship and I can't even apply for mine because I need a valid passport and mine expired ages ago. I'm still waiting for my new one to come.
Overnight, I was expected to take care of things I didn't even think were an issue and I did all I could in the 3d so when I found LOA I was happy to do some manifesting from the 4d. I'm 19 now, turning 20 in a few months and still, nothing. I've been met when nothing but vague answers from officials and nonchalance and negativity about the situation from my mother. I'm so sick of the 3d, I genuinely don't have it in me to continue with these circumstances anymore. I have gone from light hearted curiosity about LOA to begging my subconscious and sobbing when I wake up to the same 3d circumstances as before. I've had days of ignoring the 3d and focusing only on the 4d but then it feels like escapism, like wishful thinking instead of manifesting.
I know there's always movement, I'd just like this movement to happen a little faster. I have a private Instagram that I go to to saturate my mind with things that I visualise for myself. My YouTube, tumblr and tiktok all reflect the interests of the version of myself that is in my 4d. I have accepted that I am that person so how do I get my 3d to catch up? How do I do that? How do I move beyond manifesting random material things and start manifesting my citizenship?
I can practically hear you, in Alexa Demie's voice telling me "You're the only thing stopping you from getting your manifestations. Persist. Start over if you have to. Ignore the 3d. Stop being a victim. I can't do the work for you. Take a break if you need to. You are the operant power" and all of that makes perfect sense to me, I get it, I see it all the time when people ask loa blogs for advice and they're correct. Logically (or spiritually, I guess bc we don't do logic here idk), that makes sense, I understand and I agree. Emotionally, I'm fed up, upset and frustrated. Not even at the 3d because it's only a reflection but of myself, my subconscious, whatever. I haven't always felt like this though, I've had many days where I feel powerful or even just "meh" and still, I can saturate my mind and persist so, how come I didn't see change during those moments?
Thank you for reading this. I'm very sorry for this being so long and for trauma dumping, I would just really like some help, please. I know you're very busy so take your time of course, no pressure. I hope before you even see this I'll be a citizen and I'll send you another ask updating you with a success story.
I understand your frustration completely, sweetheart. Truth be told, I'm not sure what else there is for me to tell you that you certainly don't already know for yourself. My answer to this ask is essentially what I would have responded to your concerns as well, so I kindly ask that you read it. I'm sorry for the delayed response.
Please don't give up and don't lose hope. Center yourself, change your assumptions and keep persisting. Never ever ever take no for an answer because you cannot fail with the law. All of your desires are right around the corner and you are so so close to acquiring them. I have so much faith in you and I know you have what it takes to succeed. Persist.

I finally got all of my Crab Con orders!!! I haven't used anything yet bc I wanted to get a full pic of everything together.
Included most of the individual order pics as well, for close ups that are easier to see.
Pic 1 - full haul! Yes, I went overboard. I couldn't help it, we have an amazing seller group!
Pic 2 - EarthWaterFire Studio, Mary's store. Blue Mango is new, but everything else are reorders my crabs love. Plus some free samples! I couldn't add the pic, but I also got a couple beautiful dishes & some deer poop from her.
Pic 3 - Crab Cuisine Co, first time ordering! But I did win a free prize from her that the crabs loved. I got some cookies for enrichment toys, and some oils bc I need to get better at giving them more fat options in their diet. It's super important for molting! (Also, best free sticker)
Pic 4 - My Hungry Hermit, first time ordering. Got an awesome book that contains a ton of info on safe and unsafe foods, based on LHCOS's science-backed information. The shop owner is one of the people who have been helping with putting together a new database for the group! Also got burning bush leaves, bc crabs adore them for some reason, and a really cute mirror to add to their tank for enrichment.
Pic 5 - A Little Crabby Co-Op! Savanah is super sweet & did a really nice session on 3D printing during the Con. I'm finally gonna give my printer another try, with her help! This is why I love our seller group, everyone is super supportive. I got some "toe dipper" ramps for my pools, and shell opening measuring rings.
Pic 6 - South of the Ocean, first time ordering. They have some really neat foraged stuff, I hope some pheasant feathers & oak buds. Apparently their Better Than Leaf Litter is a huge hit with crabs too, so I'm excited to see what mine think. Also got a nice lichen heavy stick & some bunny poop!
Pic 7 - MT Pet Emporium, first time ordering. They have a lot of unique proteins and whole items that are great variety for enrichment. I'm excited to get one of the fish heads into my tank. 😂 The barnacles are bigger than I expected too, I haven't decided whether to put them on the sand or in my salt pool.
Pic 8 - BioactiveFX, one of my favorite stores!! Courtney has a degree in animal nutrition & is doing a lot of work to get proper foods available in multiple places for people to have access to. She really wants to get them into pet stores too someday. She also sells fantastic cholla & cork bark. I have a bunch of cork but got a flat with a bunch of lichens for my crabs to nibble on. Also got some moss, lichens, lotus seed pods (the enrichment possibilities!!!!), and stocked up on a bunch of dunaliella salina, an orange algae that my crabs think is the Best Thing Ever. Doesn't matter how big the pile is, it's gone in the morning. Also important to mention wild burro poop, which is new. Yes, I bought a lot of poop, okay, Hagrid is gross & loves it. 😂😂
Pic 9 - Just 2 Old Crabs, another favorite food shop! She cooks and dries all the stinky stuff so we don't have to! 😂 I already have a ton of her food and the crabs devour it. Excited to have a bunch of fresh stuff for them! I've been feeding a ton of last year's food to finish it up so I can set up all the fresh stuff I got this year. They're gonna eat so well!
Pic 10 - First time ordering from Hermit Grub, their foods look gorgeous! Excited to see what my crabs think. They have a VERY well stocked pantry now.
Not shown individually (pic limit) - Coenobita Curiosities, they sell the original curiosity cubes! There's multiple shops on etsy that have taken the idea from them, so make sure you buy from the right shop. They send their cubes out with delicious popcorn to use in them, a sure way to get your crabs checking out their new toy. I got a bridge as well, for my beach topper.
Not shown individually - I also got some Java moss & duckweed from Josh's Frogs, along with a couple bromeliads & a couple spider plants to try in the tank. I need to get them taken care of today, they're still waiting... 😬

A Japanese-only point and click adventure for the N64, and sequel to a SNES game called Wonder Project J. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect of this, but N64 magazine gave it a 55% and said that the main character was “Pinnochio-esqe”. Thankfully, there is a fan-made English translation patch available for this, so I don’t need to resort to other methods to try and read it.

You play as…yourself, a being from another world that the main character, Josette, can’t see. You communicate to Josette though a robot called “bird” and can point at things as well as say “yes” or “no”. Josette herself is also a robot, trying to learn how things work in the world. When trying new things, she will try something (often eating something) and you will need to let her know if this is right or wrong.

In order to solve puzzles, you will have to mess around with Josette’s teachings and moods. For example, in one objective, you need to teach her to be nasty to a cat so she gets scalded and learn that harming things is wrong. Movies can be uses to put her in a certain mood to help with certain activities. When out and about, Josette heads off on her own, giving you no direct input. It sounds boring, but it works really well, like trusting your kid to go out for the first time.

Wonder Project J2 also has a few 3D sequences. You can pilot a submarine and aircraft, with controls getting better the longer you stick with them. Underwater, you have to search for treasures and catch a lot of fish, while in the air, you shoot down unmanned aircraft of the oppressive army controlling the island. These segments are nice to begin with, but fulfilling everything is a bit tiresome.

Another 3D segment is a mine you can explore, trying to find some lost treasure, as well as mining for a special kind of stone – getting jobs and making money is a requirements to buy everything needed to teach Josette. Luckily, this part is quite short.

Through the wonderful animation, you can see Josette change throughout the game. She struggles at walking to begin with, falling over a lot, but slowly gets better and learns to run, dance and much more. It’s subtle and works really well, and Josette herself is incredibly charming (although you can be mean and force her to be more serious if you really want to).

There are 25 tasks to do, most are lovely little stories. One in particular is quite annoying: you have to improve Josette’s strength to fight a member of the army, but you can’t see Josette’s stats to fighting and losing is the only way to check if you’ve done enough. Everything else in the 2D style, however, is just incredibly charming.

You don’t need to complete all 25 achievements, but I did it anyway. A friend of Josette’s will get ill and helping her will trigger the events leading to the end of chapter 1. Chapter 2 is unfortunately not great. You get a long cutscene followed by a maze segment as Josette loses her memories. You walk around in circles answering questions about what you’ve on in the game.

After another long cutscene, you get captures and need to escape in another 3D maze, this time with guards chasing you. There are handy markers on the ceiling that gives you clues to the right direction. After this is done…well, sit back because the last 45 minutes or so of the game has no player input.
The story gets a bit odd towards the end, but still interesting. It definitely needs some playable moments, though.

For not expecting much from Wonder Project J2, I ended up loving it, particularly chapter 1, which is the majority of the game. The translation is great (apart from a few uses of negatives in questions where I responded wrong) and has made the game playable for people that don’t understand Japanese. This is a very unique game and I’m very glad that I’ve played it.
If your tastes run to the slightly esoteric and you’ve got far too much money it’s an intriguing little title that’ll probably never see the light of day over here

Considering they have new sprite work for the iPhone version, a remake with an official translation would be lovely – especially if they can do a bit more with chapter 2.

Other versions
Wonder Project J2 got a mobile port at some point, but other than some screenshots, I don’t know when. The game was also released on iPhone in 2010 with redrawn graphics, but I can’t find any details other than the initial announcement.

important note: this could all be very assumptionous, but botw i fell in love with right away. it broke away from typical zelda games which was fun bcuz i only played the 3ds remake of ocarina of time and never finished it. totk feels like it tried to be more zelda game in the worst ways. so the disappointment is hitting hard and since my brother didnt finish botw i cant discuss it with him.
so glad i didnt buy totk

the music is worse, the story is too intrusive, switching some controls is irritating for someone who played botw at least 5 times in the last 2-3 years, i forget about these abilities more than i forgot about cyonis, idk why but travelling feels more irritating? why would i need my horse or walk when its just. idk. is it slower than before?, i feel like im losing health and stamina more but maybe im just too used to knowing how to manage it, i feel like i dont naturally make rupees and pick up materials as much as before like i have to go out of my way doing that, i dont find the zonai archetecture interesting in anyway its so bland, i feel like basic things that i used my eyes and brain for are being explained which. shut up., im not as sticky as i used to be im so demotivated from climbing
if it can import my horses why cant it know i know how to do stuff in the previous game? or why not have an option to turn off like parry and archery tutorials? if theres one way to make me put down a game its treat me like an idiot.
maybe im not far enough but i do not care for the new characters ive seen so far, theyre endearing in the basic way of "this is a child and has a cute design" but not very much in actual personality. its a cluttered cast, before i was here for zelda and made friends along the way and reconnected with old ones. this time i already have friends that would be fun to work with more closely but instead they pointed me to who im working with.
i dont feel as strong a connection with these sages as i did the champions. the champions i was heart broken bcuz imagine your friends all die you fail your mission and then you fucking die and wake up 100yrs later everyone youve ever known dead (and tbh anyone you cared about died just before you, except for The Person and you were fighting the odds with a tooth pick and white girl in a nightdress there is no way he actually thought hed get away), a faint memory in history, and you can barely remember them but are one of less than a handful of ppl that know them as a person instead of an ancient hero. 100 years is just 1-3 generations and yet its all so distant. i had reason to care for them from the get go. ive met the sage of wind and was just kinda. bored. these ppl are ancient and not mine and my connection is on a new person who i cant actually make memories with to make boss fights more dramatic.
maybe im just salty bcuz i thought teba and his friend was hot (i spent so much time in rito village guys, everyone liked sidon i was on teba (and the champions i thirsted for them so so much esp daruk and revali)) and they just pointed at tulin like "take this, it could help you on your adventure"
the puzzels are more intuitive and interesting, theres more characterization for previous characters and voice acting, everyone is so much hotter, uh zonai are sexy as hell???, zelda. babygirl. what are you trying to do to me with this makeup?, ive only come across two but i like taking the koroks to where they need to go :3 he go camping wit fwiend :3, i love the foreboding shadow child, fun boss fight, im not motion sick during the dungeons

I'm not the original anonymous but I would extremely want to see that essay about Apollo's trust issues.
Also since I just finished Spirit of Justice, do you think Lamiroir ever told Trucy/Apollo about her and if so what would be their reactions?
Let’s see if I can write this up without crying again like I did on twitter.
So a while ago a friend of mine asked me why I liked Apollo, and I really couldn’t put my finger on it. I knew he was my favorite, but unlike Simon Blackquill, I hadn’t done that deep dive into figuring out why. I’d always just sort of loved him, and was never able to pinpoint the part that made me care about him so much. It drove me crazy, too, I love rambling about characters that I love, and I love writing from Apollo’s perspective more than anything. So why did I love him? Why did I care about him?
Well. I figured it out. I figured out my answer.
I think there are two things that characterize Apollo more than anything. One: He has trust issues. He genuinely believes that the people around him don’t give a shit about him. Especially after being betrayed multiple times in that first trial, he truly and deeply believes that the people around him are only trying to hurt him and is too scared to really believe that they care about him.
And two: He cares so much about the people around him that he constantly helps them anyway.
So like. And I won’t tag her because I don’t think she’d appreciate it, but I was watching the laquilasse AA4 stream last night, and the entire opening of Turnabout Corner is so striking to me, especially right after the end of Turnabout Trump. At the end of Turnabout Trump, Apollo’s trust and belief in Phoenix is finally and thoroughly shattered, and Apollo lashes out, punching Phoenix in the face. And for good reason! That was a huge breach of trust! Apollo literally did the exact thing that got Phoenix disbarred, namely present evidence that wasn’t real. Sure, they never exactly claimed it was the real deal, but Apollo didn’t even know it was faked, he just trusted Phoenix and this new piece of evidence and it almost fucked him over. It did sort of fuck him over, he did lose his job and his Mentor.
And then, Phoenix calls him and says that they’re in trouble, and Apollo doesn’t even question it, of course he shows up to help.
Like. You can feel how much he mistrusts Trucy on their first meeting, in everything he does and says. Especially when Trucy and Phoenix are in the same room, he’s actively thinking about how he doesn’t ‘buy their act’ when Phoenix is calling Trucy daughter-ly nicknames. And then, in a way, he’s kind of right? They guilt him into essentially being their errand boy, and I feel like they’re constantly and loudly using him throughout so much of the game.
And Apollo was there anyway. Apollo doesn’t even trust them and he’s still there the first instant Phoenix says he needs his help.
Like you can loudly do and say whatever you want and crush his dreams and betray his trust, and despite everything, there’s always that part of Apollo that desperately needs to help anyone who asks him. He can’t even bring himself to trust them, and he’s still crawling back the moment someone needs him, ready to let them disappoint him over again.
Like this struck me about Apollo from the moment I played AA4, but he’s so lonely? And desperate for connection? He cares so much about a world that has always and consistently never cared about him, and he just keeps caring and keeps caring even as that starry-eyed naivete is ripped away. And I feel like he just wants someone to care about him back, but never really able to believe that they do, because they never really seem to, because every time he allows himself to trust it’s just thrown back in his face so horribly.
Here’s an interesting thing I noticed: in Turnabout Trump, there’s a really interesting line. Phoenix has accused Kristoph of being the murderer, the extra person in the room. Kristoph takes the stand and claims to have witnessed the moment Phoenix committed the murder. And this exchange happens:
Apollo: There must have been someone else there at the moment of the crime!
Kristoph: Justice... I just said I saw no one. Not a soul.
Apollo: B-But, that goes against what Mr. Wright said!
Kristoph: Ah yes, this mysterious "fourth person"... ...who would conveniently be the "real killer", I suppose.
And this is well past the point where Phoenix has accused Kristoph of being that person. There’s no possibility at this point that they’re both innocent, it’s either one or the other. And Apollo is still so desperately trying to find a way for them both to be innocent, basically saying, “Just give me a fourth person and I’ll believe you.” And then Kristoph turned out to be a monster, and then Phoenix turned out to have betrayed Apollo from the start, and as far as Apollo is ever aware, none of the care from either of these men was ever real. He trusted, and he suffered the consequences.
But again. He’s still there. Someone pointed out a while ago, but Apollo stays. Apollo shows up to the Wright Talent Agency under false pretenses, and he complains and hems and haws, and he still stays. Why?
Phoenix and Trucy loudly manipulate him into working their case. They’re perfectly happy to flaunt that they’re basically tricking him. And he stays. Why?
Because Apollo can’t trust them, but he wants to so fucking bad. He doesn’t even seem to like Phoenix that much, but he wants that connection so fucking bad. He cares about them so much and he doesn’t believe for a second that they extend that feeling back at him, and he’s compelled to stay anyway.
He knows Trucy is practically using him, and he’s a sobbing mess when he thinks she was kidnapped for a few minutes. He’s cynical and mean and it’s all just to cover up the fact that he loves all these people around him with all his heart and they never once pay it back. And he comes back anyway. He’s like a fucking loyal dog that is never given enough affection and so he’s constantly trying harder and harder to earn that love while never believing he’ll ever really get it.
(Shit nope crying again)
It’s just so sad. And this is all without adding anything from the 3D games. The 3D games do build on this theme in one way or another, but from the get go, this is who Apollo is. A caring young man who is constantly punished for caring and yet can’t stop caring anyway.
We see it again in the 3D games. And I think part of why I don’t enjoy DD as much as SoJ is that DD doesn’t capture this mistrust the same way. It’s so surface level, that sense of betrayal and mistrust and anger he gets consumed by in that final case. And the worst part is it doesn’t have to be! There’s already that foundation! Apollo has been hurt already a million times. The only person he’s ever been able to trust, the only lifeline that’s kept him above water since he was a child, was Clay Terran, and now that was taken from him because he DARED to trust someone new. That’s so fucking compelling! But we never get that! We never get to see how Apollo is feeling. We get that he’s convinced Athena did the murder, but never really get into the Why, into the What This Means for Apollo.
It’s a bit better in SoJ. We see how far he’s come in terms of trusting people when he trusts in Trucy wholly and immediately in case two. And then, conversely, we see his mistrust and hurt when they introduce Dhurke into the mix. Apollo refuses point blank to believe that Dhurke had come to visit him, that Dhurke cared about him. Apollo demands to know why Dhurke was there, what Dhurke wanted, how Dhurke was going to use him. He’s been able to slowly start building that trust with people like Trucy, but he still cannot let himself trust again when Dhurke had already betrayed that trust.
I said it before, but as much as I hate the slapdash ways in which Capcom keeps throwing backstory at this boy, I love what the backstories are, because they build on this angry, cynical, lonely young man I care about so much. He’s been hurt and abandoned and used and betrayed since he was young, and being good never truly paid off for so long, but he kept doing it, he kept being good, he kept caring about people because he couldn’t help it, and kept hoping that maybe they could care back. And eventually I think it does start paying off for him. People do start caring about him. And I feel like it takes until around SoJ for him to start really believing that the people around him might care about him too.
Also congrats on finishing SoJ! Since there’s a very good chance that they might be announcing AA7 soon, I...hope? fear? expect? that they’ll touch on this then. However, I also worry that they’re going to botch it up so hard.
I know what I want to happen. I want Trucy to be angry. I want her to be angry at Lamiroir and Phoenix. She is constantly putting on a mask to try to make the people she loves happy, and I feel like this is a reasonable breaking point. After all, this is kind of the one thing that Phoenix hasn’t been honest with her about. She had a brother right there, and knew the whole time?! She had a mother there the whole time?! And no one bothered to tell her?! I think she’d be heartbroken, and I think she deserves to be angry. She’s been through so much, and they never give her time to really grieve or be upset.
I think Apollo would be ecstatic and angry at the same time. All he’s ever wanted was family, and now he does! He already loved Trucy, and thought Lamiroir was amazing, so I think he would be so happy to have that family back in his life. On the flip side, I do think he’d be angry at Phoenix, particularly for keeping it to himself before Lamiroir came into the picture, but I think if they talked it out, Apollo would come around to it and be able to forgive Phoenix.

Top 5 Game Series That Need The N.Sane Treatment
Crash Bandicoot was a series that hadn't been seen for years until the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy was revealed to the world. Thanks to this trilogy, not only was the franchise revitalized but we also got a sequel for Crash Warped in the form of Crash 4: It's About Time.
This is a recipe that could potentially bring games lost in obscurity back into the limelight but even a chance for new games to come. Here are some of my picks!
1. Jak and Daxter

One of the games that seriously needs the N.Sane Trilogy treatment. Jak and Daxter was a game series made by Naughty Dog that would inspire many platforms after. It stars the Demolition Duo, Jak and his partner ottsel, Daxter, on incredible adventures that change in tone over each game. You begin with a goofy island adventure to a dark futuristic playground as new mechanics get introduced.
Out of the main trio which consists of Jak, Sly, and Ratchet, Jak was actually the first game I played amongst them. A series that needs a comeback especially with the Easter Eggs often seen in Ratchet and Clank games throughout the years.
Touch up the graphics into a different style depending on the game, the Precursor Legacy be a bit more cartoony in appearance like Crash 4, and then switch to a style similar to the N.Sane Trilogy for the darker games like Jak 2 and 3.
Adjust the controls to run smoother, change difficulty of certain games like lower the difficulty of Jak 2 a smidge and place an optional mode to play with the original difficulty.
This would lay down the groundwork for an actual proper sequel, Jak X feels more like a side game while Lost Frontier is a snore fest.
If Naughty Dog doesn't take this route and continues pushing out flavorless games, I suggest any decent company that can do should buy the rights to Jak and Daxter. This is a gold mine covered in dust that needs to come back!
2. Sly Cooper

Yep! We're going to the other member of this once legendary trio, Sly Cooper. Sly Cooper was the second game series from Sucker Punch that I played, the first being Infamous series.
This game revolves around a group of thieves who steal from criminals and tend to get wrapped up in saving the world a few times or battling enemies out to end the bloodline of the main character, Sly Cooper, who comes from a legendary family of thieves.
Before the series disappeared into discontinuity, we had a total of 3 main games alongside one made by Sanzaru. Sanzaru's Thieves of Time was decent but midway World 3, the quality seriously declined and left fans with a very unsatisfied ending. Perfect for crossovers but terrible for the franchise.
Giving this game the N.Sane Trilogy treatment would not only give a more successful chance than attempts to make a movie, but it could to more proper sequel than Sanzaru's version. Use a design similar to Sanzaru's or go for a more rounded one like N.Sane Trilogy.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart even had an Easter Egg with Sly in it too! Insomniac acknowledges that these game series still exist by dropping these little nuggets of nostalgia, take the hint and bring back the Legendary Playstation Trio!
3. Spectrobes

Nintendo's alternate version of Pokemon. Spectrobes is a trilogy game series that debuted on the DS and last game was made for the Wii.
This series revolves around Rallen and Jeena, two members of the Nanairo Patrol, as they search for the fossils of creatures of light known as Spectrobes to find the planet devouring darkness known as Krawl.
You travel through various planets to uncover different kinds of fossils and some very interesting or whacky but loveable characters. It has elements similar to Fossil Fighters where you have to dig up fossils before awakening them. Care for your Spectrobes to battle the Krawl.
The evolving battle system, new mechanics, various locales and the unique design of each Spectrobe were something I loved but pretty sure many would like too. It even had a book and a mini series on YouTube! The game's graphics could take a route similar to Rayman Legends or Dragonball FighterZ.
Don't go for Jump Force please. We need actual expression than stiff faces and aggravating screams.
This is game series worth bringing back even if it just gets a remake.
4. Golden Sun

Another Nintendo franchise that needs return from obscurity. Golden Sun was a JRPG that came along systems like the Gameboy Advance during a severe lack of games for it. It revolves around different groups of people who use Psynergy, their version of alchemy, to battle evil as they travel the realm of Weyward.
A great game series enriched by its many characters, lore, growing battle system such as Djnn and Summons to turn the tide in battles, unique story and all sorts of areas to explore.
The biggest dent to the franchise was Dark Dawn because of its questionable ending that left many players confused or dissatisfied despite the incredible graphics, plot and character interactions. After that no one has heard a single word about any sequel.
The N.Sane Treatment would not only bring the franchise back for fans both new and old but can actually fix the questionable ending for Dark Dawn. Graphic style, um, I guess something similar to Dragon Quest or maybe Persona. Persona would be the better option considering how you choose how the main character responds to certain situations.
This series has been done dirty and deserves a second chance like this.
5. Kid Icarus

A Nintendo franchise that shows bringing back old games can revitalize a lost series.
This game series is at the bottom for a decent reason actually. Masahiro Sakurai has been hearing requests about porting one of the games, Uprising, to the Switch. Something that he sounds like he wants to do but there is a problem as he admits it would be difficult.
How Uprising is made for the 3DS such as the dual screens, and specific use of the touch screen for combat. Something that can't easily be translated to something like the Switch without decent changes.
The game revolves around the angel Pit, who fights the evil forces of the Underworld with assistance from his Goddess Palutena. Each game changes the rules of battle with the greatest being Uprising as you combat various creatures and even bosses revolve mostly around Greek mythology.
I think the N. Sane Trilogy can work with this. The first Kid Icarus and the second Of Myth and Monsters might be what could provide the missing pieces for the Uprising Switch Port Situation.
Both games could be completely restyled in a format that could be similar to Zelda since in these games, your options of weapons are limited and you have to think smart for particular puzzles.
They can be used to lay down a format that can built on for an Uprising Remake since Land Battles are one half of the essential gameplay. The graphics can be Uprising since it's already a perfect that just needs to be brushed up a bit.
When it comes to Super Smash Brothers, Sakurai worked hard to make characters like Minecraft Steve or Fighting Game fighters such as Ryu and Kazuya fit into the gameplay even if it meant changing about every hitbox and aspect of the stages. A little help can go a long way.

He sat at the table anxiously awaiting (Y/N)’s arrival, they didn’t have the previous class together. So it was a waiting game on when he would walk through the doors and sit with them.
“Bloody hell, Harry. You look like you’re gonna be sick” Ron commented as he watched Harry twiddle his thumbs. He barely heard Ron speak, just staring at the door. 
“Yeah.” Harry said mindlessly, he noticed a set of (E/C) eyes came through the door accompanied by a very upset looking blonde taking his ear off once again. Harry could make out small sentences. 
“Draco. It’s not your choice who I hang out with or fancy, stop trying to convince me otherwise.” He sighed, looking exhausted with the conversation he was having. 
“At least be cautious, Cousin. He’s Harry Potter. You’re not just chasing after any bloke.” Malfoy said to no effect on his cousin, only met with the same response as before.  “Again. Not your choice, you annoying little prat.” He doubled down on his stance, getting a little annoyed.  “Fine. Destroy our lives, throw away our friendship, break my heart” Draco sounded like his whole world would crash if he even talked to Harry.  “Stop being so dramatic, idiot.” He shoved his cousin lightly.  “Only when you stop going after such horrible people”  “Then I’ll shatter your heart into a million pieces, Cousin. Watch me.” 
He noticed Harry looking at him and waved with a nice smile on his face, he quickly said goodbye to Draco and started walking toward their table. At the moment it was just Ron, Harry and (Y/N) all sitting in a wildly awkward silence. Ron just waited for Hermione to show up just so they could talk at least, even if it was about school. 
“I hope you’re not too badly hurt from this morning, is your broom okay?” Harry blurted out, trying to fill the silence in their air. 
“Oh yeah, I’m good. Flint caught me mid air, so I didn’t bruise too bad. Broom’s busted though, Draco had a fit about it. Insisted he buys a new broom” He laughed a little remembering the morning game, Harry liked it when he laughed… He liked it a lot.
“I-I’m glad you’re okay, you should accept it. Always good to get a new broom” Harry said, trying to push down the ever increasing butterflies in his stomach. 
“Probably, but I liked my old broom. It had the experience of me riding it, but I doubt I can fix mine.” He sighed, looking a little sad. He quickly changed his expression, asking Harry if he would practice later that day. 
Hermione sooner joined them, saying she needed to get some extra reading done. She was a little confused as to why (Y/N) was there, but didn’t question it too much. 
“What classes do you take? I don’t think I’ve seen you around that much” She questioned him, hearing that he was in most of her classes. 
“You’re just so stuck in your books you don’t even notice he’s there, Hermione. You’d think he’d stick out with his (H/C) hair, but those books sure are more interesting” Ron answered why she hadn’t seen him. It was true, but Hermione hit his arm anyway. Ron clutched his arm dramatically then stuck his tongue making (Y/N) laugh. 
Harry almost choked on his lunch hearing his laugh for a whole second time.
They all finished their lunches, making jokes and talking about school. Harry felt so normal that day. Like a real teenager, a rare occasion. 
“Thanks so much for lunch, I’ll see you guys in class again! Can’t wait to practice later” He smiled at Harry giving them a little wave, joining up with Draco again to walk to their next class.  “He invited you to practice? I smell some love in the air, don’t you Ron?” Hermione said giving Harry a little smirk, Ron quickly jumping on the kissy faces. 
“You guys are unbearable” Harry said, still looking at the door and smiling like an idiot. 
Later that day, Harry and (Y/N) met outside the courtyard in their quidditch gear, his classmate holding a new broom exactly the one he said Draco would give him. 
Harry just stood there for a second, staring at him. Admiring his face and eyes and everything about him. 
“Wizarding world to Potter? Do you want to go to the pitch or play out here?” Harry finally heard his voice again, before quickly answering that he doesn’t mind. 
The boy had chosen the more casual area in the courtyard just for a few play runs and maybe a little race. 
After a few rounds and seeing who could reach the top of Gryffindor tower first ending in a tie, the two lads were tired. 
(Y/N) landed first and took out two bottles of water handing one to Harry. He then dug back into his bag again, pulling out two chocolate frogs. 
“Here, been saving them for a rainy day. Thought today would be nice to have them” He said, hoping you his own one chopping down the little frog. 
“What did you get?” Harry asked, taking apart his own box. 
“Morgana Le Fay. Don’t think I have her yet, you?” He said, showing off the card in his hands. 
“Dumbledore, again. So unlucky.” He sighed a little, moving the card to show his 3d headmaster. 
“Here, you can have mine. I don’t collect them much, but I’ve seen you and Ron search everywhere for cards” He smiled, tossing the card into Harry’s hands. 
He looked at the card and back at (Y/N) who was being beautifully lit by the golden rays of the sunset. 
They sat there in silence, not doing much. Just drinking water and relaxing on the soft grass. 
They looked at the sunset together, it was nice. No awkward silence as they panted a bit from practice. Harry felt at peace for once that year almost like he was a normal teenager. 
“That was a good practice, huh?” The seeker said next to him. 
“Yeah, it was.” 
“Glad I asked you, it was fun” He chuckled a little, his deeper voice making Harry’s stomach turn. 
He looked at their hands next to each, he felt them inching closer together. He wanted to reach out yet he was scared shitless, ‘was this having a crush’ he thought. He felt like he never really had such a feeling towards someone before not like this. 
“Can I ask you something?” He suddenly said, catching (Y/N) off guard. Harry moved his hand a little closer to his. 
“You ever feel things… for boys?” He asked, embarrassed by his own question. 
“I guess I do.” (Y/N) answered honestly, it felt like he said everything with such confidence and surety. It made Harry feel like he’d burst open. 
“Me too.” 
He felt the other player’s hand interlock with his as they continued to watch the sun. He felt oddly comforted by this, like it was a confirmation of his own thoughts. 
“I do like you… I know that at least.” He said rubbing his thumb in circles on Harry’s hand. Harry’s lungs felt like his heart was on fire. 
“Can I ask you something now?” (Y/N) said, his cheeks growing a little red as he turned to face Harry. 
“Only fair,” He said, returning a glance in his direction. 
“Can I kiss you, Harry?” (Y/N) using his first. He’d never really heard him say that and he wanted to hear it more now. 
“I’d love that.”

5 Companies That Have Too Much Hype Around Them
Look, we all love our favorite games with a passion, and to an extent that’s fine, but when that passion becomes obsession and that obsession becomes forgetting our own moral compass for the sake of entertainment, it does feel like it’s gone too far. It’s one thing to love what a company releases, it’s completely another to ignore every problem they’ve ever had. Not all of the companies on this list have done horribly un-ethical things, but they’ve at least been anti-consumer, and the fact that people don’t question that enough has led to them sometimes, making horrible mistakes. I am RepentantSky, I love making lists that trash on things that are popular, and these are 5 companies, that have too much hype around them.
5. Nintendo
Already I can hear people getting angry, and in a way I get it. Nintendo is for many people the place where they either begin to play games, or the place they go to keep on playing them when everything else let’s them down, and of course, they put an end to the flipping video game crash of 1983, and no one else will ever be able to claim that from them. That’s all wonderful, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be critical of them. I’ve talked about a number of things they’ve done wrong before, so let me quickly run down the list of some of their anti-consumer practices. They, charge too much for remasters and ports, they don’t drop prices in games, they used to charge for fixing Joy-Cons and now completely deny it’s a problem for legal reasons, despite everyone pretty much having experienced drift, they haven’t been good at getting stock for their items in at least 20 years, and oh yeah, they sell all the content for a remake for $115 on the 3DS, the system and the fans that helped them get by while the Wii U was massively underperforming, all while handing owners of the, at the time, unproven Switch, free content. Nintendo has a tendency to still think like a toy company, and they even used that idea to present the Nintendo Entertainment System as a toy instead of a console when they first game to the West with it, but they aren’t a toy company, their a gaming company that also sells toys, just like everyone else. I get they’ve done amazing things, I own over 150 physical handheld games from them, and a ton of digital games besides, but when they start charging twice what they are worth for SD cards, while releasing games that absolutely won’t fit on the limited space of the Switch, and they simply don’t care when costumers complain, it’s time to at least question their motives.  
4. Bethesda
Boy I used to really rip on this company back when I posted lists on Facebook, but I haven’t done it in a while, so let’s do it again. Bethesda has absolutely spent at least the last 10 years lying to people, Todd Howard, has become famous for it, but I think I might have been the only person who wasn’t shocked when Fallout 76 was the disaster that it was. There were so many things wrong with that game, that I don’t even have time to go over every little thing, but lying, you know the thing that will get another company on this list very soon, was a big thing they did with the game. They promised at one point that they weren’t ever going to charge for items in the game that gave in-game benefits, and they did, allowing ammo and other items to be bought with real money for a time, they promised new, specialized servers if you paid for a yearly service that was way too expensive, and that wasn’t true because people found proof of things missing from what would have been a freshly made, private server, and there’s no excuse for that, games in early access do that correctly, and they aren’t, at least supposedly, even finished yet. I wish I could say that’s all they’ve done, but they also bullied an indie developer over their game Prey, a game they may have bullied the original developer for so they could get cheaper, but we’ll never know because they refused to comment on that when asked, they also refused to update their outdated game engine for years, which caused something they spent over a decade fixing, games releasing with glitches, some of them game breaking. Yet somehow, they have such a fan base that those who love their games will claim the glitches are just part of the charm. That kind of fierce loyalty led to Fallout 76, and even though we make jokes about it even now, the horse DLC from way back in the day, was an indication of everything they’ve done, including trying to charge for mods made for free, meant to be consumed for free, twice. Bethesda is a bad company and they do not care. 
3. Activision/Blizzard
You know one of the worst things Nintendo does that I didn’t really mention directly in the first entry, is limit the amount of time a product is available, instead of just letting it be there for consumption as long as it’s selling (that was what the toy company reference was about if it wasn’t clear). However, Activision/Blizzard are the Kings of doing this, as they not only limited things while they were in control of Destiny 2 to the point where you pretty much had to use real money to get everything, and never mind everything else they did to it, because we’d be here all day going through it all, but they also don’t support games as a service titles long enough for dedicated fans. Crash Team Racing Nitro fueled, is a prime example of this. People weren’t done with that game, and when fans thought for even a split second that an update was going to come to fix an issue, their hype (mine to) was so explosive, it was almost like we were getting a new game, but then nothing happened, because they didn’t care. A lot of companies that do yearly release titles as a service have this problem and nothing exemplified that more for Activision, than Skylanders, a series originally made off the back of Spyro, who didn’t even wait for a year to release new games, as technically between October 21st and November 20th of the year the first game came out, they released three of them, and I’m not even kidding. Two of them, were mobile games! You might have thought I was going to go after Call of Duty, for this, but that horse has been beaten to ground, somehow, more than Skylanders was. They also, for whatever reason, released each expansion on different generations console generations, at different months throughout Fall, like somehow the season of Fall, they needed a release every month, if not two, and so off they went. I didn’t even get into Blizzard, but all I need to say is “Blitzchung” and all the memories will likely come flooding back. There’s also the fact that in two separate years, after gaining massive profits, they dropped hundreds of employees, and hired more than they’d let go, but I guess that doesn’t really matter to some of you, because when they did it this year, with so little warning, most employees found out via the news articles about it, but we all made such a little stink this time around, it didn’t create any media buzz, so I guess that doesn’t matter, you’d all rather play flipping World of Warcraft, like better MMO’s don’t exist. 
2. CD Projekt Red
I know this one comes off a little more fresh in the mind, and they technically only lied about one game, but man, what a series of lies it was. Also, let’s be honest, one major game, does not a great developer always make. CDPR’s previous two Witcher games did exactly what the author of the books thought they would, and that was almost nothing in terms of making a serious impact, and the reason is, they are kind of bad. They aren’t the worst games out there, but there is a good reason why The Witcher 1 and 2 haven’t been ported and/or remastered, despite how important they are to the story of Witcher 3, and that’s because they both suck. Cyperpunk 2077, was in a lot of ways, them just going back to being the developer they were before, the BIG ONE happened. They lied about nearly everything in regards to the game, including how the main platforms where consumers were going to buy it, were actually running well. I made those references to Witcher 1 and  2 for a reason, although if I’m being honest, they actually look better than Cyberpunk did on day 0, and that’s completely unacceptable. The budget for CDPR was basically nothing for Witcher 1 and 2 combined to what Cyberpunk got, but they were so focused on the PC versions because PC ran the game better, somehow (like maybe because they didn’t try with consoles) and they missed glitches that were so bad, the game felt like it was still in beta, if not alpha upon release. The fact that they’ve only released eleven games in twenty-three years, and only two of them didn’t have The Witcher on them, should have told us all we need to know, and yet the game, even after returns, which was another massive screw-job that led to Cyberpunk being removed from the PlayStation store, still sold Sixteen million units, all because of hype, and because apparently, some people don’t care if they’re lied to. Do you want to know what the other game they released is besides a Witcher title? It was flipping Saints Row 2, a fun game, but also one that’s too goofy for it’s own good, and yet suddenly makes Cyberpunk’s release, make sense, because it was all a massive joke, and a parody of good, well running, open world games. CDPR needs to seriously do something, anything different, and never release a game in this poor of a state ever again.
1. Ubisoft
I put Ubisoft at number one for a damn good reason, and that reason is, that everyone seems to hate the company, but loves their games, and I don’t know why. They haven’t been the overall worst company on this list, although they are pretty bad, but the major problem they have, and have had for at least a decade is that none of their games have any identity, they are literally all the same game, with different coats of paint. Sure, an occasional gem sneaks through like Assassin’s Creed IV, but all of the rest of their games have the same visual style (although ACII does seem to be the base for which they create their art let’s be honest), the shooting mechanics they have in all the games that have guns, all feel exactly the same, which is something even Call of Duty manages to avoid most years (guess I took a shot at them anyways) and yet somehow, someway, I keep seeing people getting excited for their releases, and it doesn’t make any sense. Sure, they throw a celebrity actor in from time to time, and the artistic style they use does look pretty cool, but everything is always the same with them, every single time, no matter what it is, and they still keep making money. It doesn’t really make sense either, because a lot of developers do make games that are very similar feeling, see the Life is Strange team or much as well all loved them, Telltale Games, but at least those titles told extremely interesting stories, and developed their mechanics at least a little, which is something most companies do just on principal, but not Ubisoft. They throw out a few Tom Clancy games every time they talk about what their releasing, the Trials and AC games are still mostly a yearly experience, and I’ll say it again, their entire list of releases since at least 2013, the year the previous generation kicked off, have pretty much all been the same. It would be nice if they made more games like Child of Light, but despite the fact that their games will likely never be as popular as Call of Duty, they keep churning out same-y shooters hoping that one day, maybe just one day, they’ll create their own CoD, and it’s just not gonna happen. The saddest part of all is that when they announce something different, something fans have wanted for years, we get The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, which was literally delayed because fans said they wouldn’t buy it unless some actual effort was put into making it, why is this company so popular that it can keep doing this, someone please explain it to me.

ive talked about it so much but im not really happy in my job :/ the job being the doll wig making. a lot of aspects i really DO enjoy but some of the stuff is so specifically bad for me (like the organisational + admin tasks i find really, really difficult + ive had to refund quite a few customers over the years bc i just cant get my shit together enough to ship out on time etc) - this i think is solvable w/ some planning, and idk why ive not actually done any planning of that ilk. i think i just assume ill get better at it as i go, but it’s not a skill problem, bc ive been doing this for 5y so like? i think i have got to bite the bullet and become a more organised person unfortunately.
think also: i need SOMETHING like a schedule - but not actually a schedule, bc i love the freedom to do whatever i want. that is like perk no. 1 of this job. but like perhaps a set no. of hours per week?
like im sure ive written this exact thing before, but pros / cons are something like:
pros -
1. good conversation starter, no one else really does what i do (lol) 2. some level of artistic satisfaction 3. near-total freedom job-wise - i can work wherever, whenever, not beholden to anyone, i am in charge 100% 4. seriously large chunks of money are involved in the doll business (people spend thousands on the naked, bald, eyeless dolls alone - none of mine cost less than £350 and i have like 5 of them), and if i could get a handle on the organisational aspects i would be earning surprising amounts of money probably lol (like i already earn probably more than you would expect). however this earning potential has always been tempered by a lack of desire to actually do any work, so its possible i just cba to work enough to become rich (which i mean, im not gonna try and change, im fine w/ that)
cons - 1. quite stressful never knowing where the next batch of alpaca will come from (this is a problem every few months max, bc i can only afford to buy about 5kg at a time, which is like... 75-100 wigs or st?) + having to do the email rounds is such a pain in the arse. and it’s not very secure. altho i have to say it’s never actually been a problem so far - so the lack of security might be more of a perception thing than a fact 2. it’s not a job that i feel like intellectually stimulated by 3. i dont really like key aspects of the process (e.g. shipping and admin) 4. have to FILE MY OWN FUCKING TAXES! 5. typical self-employed-in-a-niche-market shit like you can never be truly sure how finances are gonna go 6. it’s not exactly bettering humanity
me + ben + ana are gonna get a 3d printer in the new year and i am gonna start printing doll eyes, i think this will be a good addition to the business, maybe refresh me a bit, possibly a lucrative area and if it doesnt work out at least ill have had a bit of fun doing it. long-term not sure tbh. i find chess much more “intellectually stimulating” (gross phrase im so sorry lol) but i also dont think i could take spending all my time in that cesspool of an environment, so

Crusher Elaborations #1: Thoughts on the Aesthetic of Sonic’s World
If someone came up to me and asked “Which do you prefer, Classic Sonic or Modern Sonic?”, my answer would start off with “Well, technically Classic Sonic because...”, and then I'd get cut off by the other person immediately lecturing me on why I'm wrong and why I'm the worst kind of fan imaginable. Should they finish their rant, I would then explain to them in the midst of them basking in their flock of easy Twitter likes that I didn't necessarily mean it in the way they predicted.
If we were talking about the games, the characters, or the character design, I'd be fairly neutral, since I like both halves equally for the most part. In fact, when it comes to characters, Modern might actually have the edge believe it or not, since the sheer number of characters introduced from SA1 onwards naturally means a lot of my favourites were introduced from that point on, such as Tikal, Rouge, Gamma, Omega, Blaze... But then again, Classic introduced Eggman and Tails, and the Hard-Boiled Heavies are technically Classic as well despite being relatively new...
Anyway, the point is, I'm not talking about any of that today. I'm talking about the world that Sonic and his multicolored chums live in. Or rather, the aesthetic of it.

NOTE: This is purely about the game universe. While I do have my thoughts on Sonic’s world as presented in other continuities, that won’t be the focus here.
If you're familiar with my blog, you'll know that as a general rule of thumb, I much prefer colorful and creative worlds in my Sonic universe, and that rings true for my reasoning here. And I know what you're gonna say: “But Crusher, isn't there plenty of that in the Modern games as well?” Yes, there is, and I appreciate them very much. But this is why I feel the need to make a post of this sort to begin with, because I'm NOT saying “Classic cool, Modern boring” and calling it a day. There's a little more nuance to my tastes here.
When I say I prefer the Classic aesthetic for Sonic's world, I don't mean it in the literal sense of disregarding everything about the Modern aesthetic. Let's put it like this: when you're asked to paint a picture of these two sides of Sonic's universe in your head, a specific image will likely come to mind. When you think of Classic, you'll probably think of Green Hill first and foremost, whereas with Modern, you'll probably think of something like City Escape or Rooftop Run before anything else. In other words, when you think Modern Sonic, you're probably imagining the more realistic kind of locations first. And between the two mental images that come to mind, I personally prefer the Classic image. Shock, horror.

Now keep in mind, I'm not saying that City Escape, Rooftop Run, and all similar environments in the series look bad, because they don't. Unless they're painted with the '06 brush, they generally look fine, and the locations in Unleashed in particular are undeniably beautiful from an graphical standpoint. The problem is that although I can picture this as a world that Sonic could be in, I can't necessarily picture it as Sonic's world specifically. Because when it comes to the more realistic environments, I feel there's not much of an attempt to let it branch out as its own thing.
I know that might seem harsh, especially for Unleashed, since the real world angle was the deliberate theme of that game. And Sonic taking cues from real places is a fine concept, there's no issue there. I'm not gonna complain if there's a France Zone with an Eiffel Tower in the background. In fact, Sandopolis Act 1 has one of my favourite aesthetics in a Classic zone (mainly because the background is really pleasant to look at), and that zone is essentially Egypt Zone. But if you're making a Real World Zone, there needs to be more to it than that, otherwise you don't truly get a Sonic interpretation of our world... you instead have our world as it is with Sonic characters awkwardly stapled on.
When I look at City Escape, it may not be completely unfitting for Sonic (the posters and billboards in particular are actually a really nice touch), but when I look at it, I don't see Sonic's interpretation of San Francisco. I see San Francisco with Sonic shoved in. When they morph these places to Sonic's liking, they'll add rings, loops... and that's it. They rarely take the concept any further, which is a huge shame, particularly in the case of Rooftop Run, where I otherwise do like its visuals a lot, but it just doesn't go far enough with the concept for my liking.

So which Modern games do I feel did the best job at making Sonic's world... er, Sonic's world? Well the truth is, most of them actually do a decent job in this area, regardless of the level design quality or the game’s quality period. SA2 has Pumpkin Hill, Eggman's Pyramid Base, and... SOME levels aboard the A.R.K (mainly the “outside” ones, like Final Rush). Shadow the Hedgehog, a game that reveled in how brown and gritty it was, still had highlights like Circus Park and Digital Circuit. Even '06 of all games had Aquatic Base, which was pretty cool from a conceptual standpoint. And although Unleashed as a whole might be a touch too vanilla in the creativity scale, it still had the glorious Eggmanland at the very end. But if I had to say which of the Modern installments did the best job overall...
- For starters, I'm gonna give a shoutout to SA1, because even though it was the first Modern game, and thus it was technically responsible for the more focused angle of realism in Sonic's world in the first place, it didn't take it quite as far as later games would, and although it may not be a perfect 1-to-1 representation of the world we saw in the Classic games, it does well enough with what it brings to the table that I can still accept it without any issue at all. Some of that has to do with the fact that you still have wilder areas like Windy Valley and Red Mountain to balance things out, but even with the other half, the game's use of colour is enough for it to go a long way, oddly enough. Take the At Dawn section of Speed Highway for instance:

Technically, it's really not that different to the urban environments you see in SA2 or Unleashed. But something about the sleepy morning approach gives it a subtle, almost dream-like edge to it that I really dig, and despite it being pretty similar to the likes of City Escape, somehow I have an easier time buying into the idea of this place being part of the same world as zones like Sky Sanctuary.
And seeing how I already mentioned Red Mountain, let me compare it to Flame Core:

Yes, I know bringing '06 into this discussion at all is inherently and hilariously unfair, but let's put aside the game that Flame Core comes from for a moment. Aside from maybe the purple crystal caves indoors (and that's assuming you can even see where the fuck you're going in there), Flame Core is pretty boring to look at as far as Sonic levels go. Red Mountain is vastly more interesting, even though it's basically the exact same concept, and a lot of that has to do with - you guessed it - colour. Sure, it's day time, that's one thing, but you'll also notice that for a lava/mountain stage, it surprisingly has a few grassier sections, sort of like Hill Top in that regard. A little bit of green among the brown and red, and a great contrast to the volcanic nightmare you'll experience when you head inside.
Now this might seem like a fairly minor detail... and yeah, it is, but the thing that SA1 does so well is that it combines so many of those small details to make a complete, well-rounded package. This is why SA1 meshes well with the Classic style despite not being an exact replica, because just as the Classics excelled at, it wasn't afraid to use colour in interesting ways. It understood that a fire level could have more than just red and orange, in the same way that a grassy level could have more than just green and blue.
But of course, as I mentioned, SA1 is not an exception. There are other Modern games that did a great job on the whole...
- Heroes is an obvious answer, since it's translation of Genesis-style environments to 3D is probably one of the most recurring praises the game receives, and rightly so. Not much to say here, except that Hang Castle is still cool as hell.

- Colours is another obvious one, though something of an ironic one given that the premise of the game involved going to other worlds, and those worlds were all converted against their will by Eggman. Yet, they did an equally superb job at creating fun, unique locales, and Aquarium Park in particular remains a favourite of mine.

- The Riders series has a more futuristic bend compared to the rest of the series, but even when it's not all high-tech, it's got some pretty cool environments of its own, and I feel they even do well at mixing the real world side of things on top of that. Gigan Rocks comes to mind, as does Aquatic Capital.

- Regardless of my thoughts on the game itself, Secret Rings had some undeniable winners in this depertment. You tell me with a straight face that Night Palace doesn't look amazing.

- And lastly, they might have had an early advantage since they're already 2D, but the Advance trilogy and Rush duology deserve a mention. They had some fantastic ideas for zones, like Planet Sonata Music Plant, and they did great with the colours as well. Hell, throughout these five games, the sky was practically every shade of the rainbow at one point or another.

Also, quick shoutout to another minor detail akin to the grassy sections of Red Mountain: these pink tunnel sections in Ice Mountain. No elaborate point to make here, just another perfect example of how much I adore these games' use of colour and contrast.

Seriously, I could go on for hours about good contrast.
Although I do bring up these small details for another reason, and in turn, another layer to my more nuanced take on Sonic aesthetics. By this point, we get the basic jist: Crusher likey when Sonic levels unique and pretty. But this can - and has - lead to a couple of misconceptions, so I'd like to address those and then laugh at them.
“So you want Sonic's world to be exactly like Mario?”
A common complaint that Lost World received was that it was too much like Mario, in more ways than one, and part of this was to do with the game's visual style. The zones may have been upbeat, but they often consisted of a bunch of things floating in the air and not much else, ala 2D Mario. While I didn't outright hate it, it’s definitely not what I have in mind for Sonic.

Of course, all complaints about being too much like Mario suddenly turn into praise when Eggette gets brought up...
And why is that? Because yes, I like my Sonic locations to be fun and lively... but I also want them to be firmly established within the context of this universe. The Lost World approach is fine with Special Stages and the sort, but outside of that... well, Studiopolis is a perfect example of what I'm talking about:

On one hand, it's very unique when compared to other cities in this franchise, and it's full of quirkiness, great use of colour, and all that good stuff I've went on about. But at the same time, it's grounded just enough so that it still feels like an actual city that the people of Sonic's world could feasibly live in, rather than a basic and empty video game level with a tacked on city background. Studiopolis may be a level from a video game, but you can totally believe it's a fully fleshed out place from its own perspective.
Naturally, this praise also rings true with the Modern games I listed earlier, and is yet another reason for why I approve of their settings.
“So you think Sonic can't have darker locations?”
It might be easy to take my compliments at face value, and assume that I'm immediately opposed to a zone that's not brightly colored. This is... very obviously false, as even the Classic games have their share of less-than-cheery areas, such as Scrap Brain and the Bad Futures in Sonic CD.
However, when you're making a grittier location in Sonic's world, regardless of the context, it still needs to be interesting. The problem with a lot of them in Modern installments is that they're boring. Crisis City is a generic city on fire. Westopolis is a generic city with aliens firing lasers from above. The prison levels in SA2 - and the indoor ARK levels not named Cannon's Core - are just grey hallways for the most part. That shit isn't exciting, and it doesn't get my mind speculating. It just makes me want to move on.

By contrast, Eggmanland is a prime example of how to do it right. Eggmanland is a magnificent theme park as envisioned by the good doctor, but it's also, at its core, a giant metal hellscape fueled by the energy of a dark entity, and it only gets more ominous the further you go through it or try to before you give up because it’s too fucking long and you died at the end. So it sets the mood to be sure, but it's still visually compelling to look at, and interesting to think about.
And since Eggman is apparently the only one who can show us how it's done, here's a shoutout to Titanic Monarch as well:

Like Heavy King, but Heavier and Kingier.
When comparing the final zones in Sonic games, I especially love this zone's visual approach, because it manages to be dark and colorful at the same time, and in a strangly organic way. It's got a spooky atmosphere, with a moody moonlight backdrop to match, and the titular robot is foreboding as hell as you climb up it and traverse through it... all the while having red floors, green and yellow wires, blue and pink buildings, and stained glass windows of Eggman and the Heavies for you to marvel at. So even putting aside the unique scenario of climbing up and then through a Kaiju-sized mech, the mood of the zone alone manages to be extremely memorable.
So what have we learned from all this? Aside from the fact that I’m way too interested in this subject? We now know that when I say I prefer the Classic “style” over Modern when it comes to the way that Sonic's world is presented:
- I don't mean that literally.
- There are certain qualities that although both of them possess, they tend to be more immediately associated with Classic in the collective consciousness, even within the fandom.
- The environments that I love the most in Modern games are often the ones that would also fit perfectly in the Classic style.
So whenever I express the basic nature of this opinion in the future... just imagine a small asterisk at the end of my sentence.

Do you sell your dolls? No I do not they’re my babies and I put a lot of work into their characters and I am emotionally attached to each of them. I have sold some that I didn’t bond well with.
What do you use to paint on them? I use acrylic paint, soft pastels, water color pencils, graphite, acrylic gloss and sealer. Doll eyelashes, little craft hoops and balls for piercings and craft tiny beads for jewlary. I use yarn sometimes for their hair but other times I purchase their hair online. Sometimes I draw them tattoos and sometimes I use Temp tattoos.
Do you do commissions? I do commissions for people who need work done to their own BJDs like faceups, hair or blush and nail art. I don’t buy dolls to work on to sell but in the future I’d like to do that. It’s an expensive hobby so get your pockets ready. My faceups are 60$ but for something really advanced it will be 80$ plus shipping charges. Nail art is 5$, blush is 10$ wigs are 25$ I’ve had people ask if they could buy the doll send them to my address instead of their home, I work on them and then send them to that person but you have to remember there is money involved and I mean lots of it so if you’re buying a 300$ doll via through me to a website you have to be willing to also pay me for putting this doll together which we can talk about via email the price. What are the dolls made out of ?
Resin. I know there are vinyl bJDs out there but mine are just made out of resin~ 🍭🤍
So if you don’t sell your dolls, where do I get one ?? On BJD websites but be aware of scams or Recasts also which are usually cheaper and too good to be true prices. I’ve had my fair share in mistakes with this in the beginning after my first Doll. Do lots of research on YouTube to learn more. Recasts are heavily looked down upon in the hobby and people tend to stay away from and not talk about them because they are a problem to the hobby and create damage by taking an artists work and selling them for much cheaper. You will not get head plates or certificate or authenticity cards or an original Box. They tend to be much smaller then an originalwitj seam lines and sometimes they’re easy to spot so just save your coins and go legit, Support the artists. I do not bully people but others will. Some official Bjd cheap websites are thejunkyspot, Angel of dream, mystic kids, migidoll, Alicecollections, bobobie, withdoll, littleRebel, littlemonica, supiadoll and crobidolls and so many more just do some research y’all find them. If you have that type of money or want to save then check, Hummingdolly, dollshe, Soom, Doll chateau, dream valley, Iplehouse, Dikadoll, iOS (immortality of soul) distantmemory (the BTS dolls are from here I know a lot of you like BTS I am a Kpopper myself lol) and there’s just so so much more just type Bjd websites and y’all find a ton~ I just kinda remembered these at the top of my head. Lol 🐮💕
So where do you get clothes and accessories from?! Some are from EBay, Etsy, Amazon. Some are form people on IG who sell first come first served or little shops that don’t have a big name or anything that I just run into who happen to be selling what I want or need for a doll. I don’t make my own eyes but others do I get mine either commissioned or on the websites I just stated. Some stuff are handmade like wigs and clothing I do sometimes make those. You just have to know the size of your doll and their eye measurements and head measurements. 💗🐮
💜🍼Prince and his paci? The girl who sold them I bought two and she stopped selling them I’m currently looking myself for some Bigger doll pacis.
💕How big are your dolls? They’re as big as a toddler but much thinner. Some 3 feet and some a bit smaller but they’re large dolls sometimes people don’t realize that 🐮🤍 you can by a variety of diff sizes like MSD (1/4 30cm ranges) SD (1/3 60-75 cm range) SD uncle 80+ and Yosd (smaller 20cm or smaller range) I might be a little off but it’s because I only purchase the bigger ones I don’t have much interest in smaller currently.

Someone is making my dolls currently clothes from their clothing line and I am so excited for this!! If you could, would you work professionally with magic as a job? Like working at a metaphysical store
I have done some professional witchcraft before, but would love to do so again and full time. I’ve done spell work and design for people sold some sigils as art, sold a few amulets and taken a couple amulet commissions, and helped some other witches with research and tracking down papers and sources.
I 100% would love to work in a metaphysical shop. I was very close to working in a haunted antique shop right before the pandemic. It’s not exactly my ideal magic job, but it was going to be cool. The shop specialized in all kinds of haunted, cursed, and generally spooky items. I’d much rather work in a metaphysical shop geared towards witches, but it still would have been a cool gig.
An actual dream of mine would be to own my own shop specifically catering to other witches and common people’s spiritual and witchcraft needs. I’d offer services like the ones I mentioned above, maybe some divination and energy work. I’d sell all the standard metaphysical store things, like candle, incense, books, gems, and the kind of stuff non-witches and generally spiritual people also buy. But also I’d like to offer a collection of odd and useful, potentially rare, spell components for other witches. Like, I want a shelf behind the counter with categorized jars of thorns from various plants, animal bones, hard to find herbs, lightning struck wood chips, all kinds of weird stuff people could use, but might have a hard time finding. I also might do something like custom made spell kits, where I bundle together everything you need to cast a type of spell, which might be really nice for fledgling witches especially.
And the shop would be a great way to get more commissions of amulets. I imagine my time when not doing stock or managing the store would be spent sitting at the counter carving amulets and trinkets for order. If someone asked what I was doing, it would be an opportunity to pitch a custom piece to them.
I know there’s absolutely no money in a shop like this, but maybe if I get to retire some day it would be something I’d do. Or if I make it big with one of my books, or the video games I’m working on. You never know if you’re going to be a best seller and then a bunch of new options open up to you.
