So I did it. I drew the Reclaimed scene I meant to draw couple days ago but was too exhausted by heat to do so. Had some fun with effect settings.

........struggled to decide what coloring style to go for. Also I still find it funny how Dabi’s sleeves were apparently inspired by ramen noodle cups or something if I recall right.

This living toast truly has a “trash” style

Tomura drops his hand and crosses his arms over his chest to shield himself from the cool night air. He was not wearing a hoodie right now like he normally would when going out, meaning he was admittedly getting cold. Shigaraki was too stubborn to admit it however, refusing to go inside before Dabi. After a while his companion shifts closer subtly, his body radiating heat that was kind of tempting to lean into, but Shigaraki refrains from doing it, still not wanting to admit he was cold. One could call it stubbornness, to him it had been a vital survival trait that had led him this far.

”Stop punishin’ yerself and c’ere, boss.”

Dabi suddenly whispers right into his ear, almost making Tomura jump as an arm pulls him closer by the waist, making him press against the fire user’s warm body. Red eyes snap up at Dabi a bit apprehensive, but he doesn’t move away.

”What?”

”You do shit like this when you feel like you failed somehow. I’ve noticed.”

"What shit?"

"Forget your shoes, let yourself be cold, things like that."

Dabi chuckles and tightens his grip on his waist slightly, turning his gaze away.

Tomura still didn’t quite understand what he meant, and honestly didn’t care enough to ask. He just resigns in standing there, leeching off warmth from Dabi’s body while they watched the night go by. It was admittedly making Shigaraki a bit antsy, as he felt like he was wasting time. Realistically he knew he’d be too tired to try and look into things further right now, but sitting around doing nothing could lead to unpleasant consequences. Giran was still missing, taken ny unknown assailants, Sako was still locked in a room with no memory of who he was.

They still hadn’t found Kurogiri either, their best clue having turned out to be a trap.

”What did I tell you?”

Dabi suddenly comments amused, having once again grasped his hand as it has tried to creep up to scratch his neck. Tomura snorts and averts his gaze, flexing his fingers before curling it to a fist. He could feel the blue eyes still keenly focused on him, making him shift but with a different kind of anxiety now.

Suddenly, he could feel the presence next to him lean closer, something warm pressing against his neck.

Tomura freezes completely, wild red eyes glancing towards Dabi who’d leaned in to press his face against his scarred neck, sort of like what he’d done back then...

”What...are you....?”

Half scarred lips brush over his skin, and Dabi pulls back, pressing his nose into his hair slightly as his hushed voice and warm breath reaches his ear.

”Have to make you stop doing that somehow.”

The pale figure let’s out a slight grunting sound of annoyance, but doesn’t push Dabi away, feeling his head tilt to the side, giving him more room almost involuntarily. Tomura was not one for affection typically, especially not things like this, but...when Dabi was doing these things, he didn’t feel like rejecting it. Even without secret drugs coursing in his system, that hadn’t changed. The only thing that had was really just his anxiety over it. He didn’t really second guess Dabi’s intentions anymore, just wondered about his own, if there even were any.

Dabi had slowly shifted, now pressing him between the wall and himself, never lifting his mouth off his scars as he did so. Scarred hands rested on either side of his body, trapping Tomura there. The pale figure doesn’t attempt to push him away or anything, just breathes out a sigh as he tilts his head back, leaning it against the cool wall behind him while Dabi’s mouth kept tracing the scars around his neck.

Part of him did kind of wonder why he was letting this happen, and if he should be doing it in the first place, given the emotional charge that hid behind Dabi’s actions. He just...he doubted he was capable of doing the same for him. He was not made to love in any way, only to destroy.

He did have some semblance of sympathy and care for his....friends, but that was typically it.

”Feelin’ warmer now, boss?”

Dabi mutters out against his skin, briefly snapping Shigaraki out from his musings. He tilts his head back to look at the blue eyes, keenly focused on him with slightly darkened hue.

”Considering the ashy stink you’re rubbing all over me, I better.”

Dabi let’s out a rough, low laugh at that, before shifting even closer, pressing him firmer against the wall behind him. Their faces were very close to one another now, allowing the pale figure to smell his ashy scent even stronger now.

”I’d love to ’rub my stench’ all over you as you put it.”

Tomura just rolls his eyes at the fire user, feeling his whole body tingle all over now, especially in the parts Dabi was touching him in. It was a familiar sensation, but he no longer found it unnerving, just...peculiar.

”I suppose each to their own for entertainment.”

Dabi chuckles again at that, then leans closer to place his lips against his neck like before, only this time there was notably more heat behind it.

That’s when a loud noise echoes from inside, causing both young men to snap out of it and turn to face the entrance, dashing in without further words.

• In the beginning he simply saw you as someone that made life easier for him because you voluntarily did the annoying tasks.

• Like all the others and himself you were mainly speaking about your past in riddles. Never being too precise.

• Bad childhood, expectations which you couldn't reach, blame from your parents - There were many similarities to his former life.

• And maybe that was why he started to be a little more attached to you.

• He caught himself while he listened to every sentence you said more attentively. Your name, age, story. Everything.

• At the first he convinced himself that it was only for the purpose of having information about you, in case that you would get unnecessary in the future.

• But then you came back from a mission; completely destroyed, bleeding and messed up. Still, you had brought what they had been asking for.

• "Are you completely stupid to risk your neck like that, idiot?!"

• For the first time he spoke more with you than his typical sarcastic comments that only existed to tease you.

• Your empty eyes reminded him of his former self as he had desperately tried to be praised by his father.

• Ever since he secretly became your shadow on missions, no matter how easy they seemed to be. He might be a villain, but he wouldn't let a girl get beaten up just for a minor cause.

• Not that he made that public, though. Sometimes he simply disappeared. Not even you noticed.

• So he heard when you were talking to yourself or noticed when you were having a bad day. On the other hand you never gave up.

• Step by step you became more than a puppet. Pretty soon you were a human being that began to fill his life with colors, without even noticing it.

• And god be with whoever decides to mess with you. Because he isn't afraid to use his quirk anymore.

TOGA HIMIKO

• The moment you stepped in to fulfill your first task, she was willing to make you an official part of the LoV.

• Whenever you came, she would start to jump around you, asking you a thousand things and trying to convince you to join because she was in need of girl power.

• Everytime you declined her offer, she acted all shocked. Sometimes she even fell to the floor and began to whine.

• The feelings kicked in as soon as you thawed a little. Those smiles of you made her extremely happy.

• Basically she never stopped talking about you, annoying the shit out of all the other members. At some point a bottle was thrown.

• She started to discuss with Shigaraki, if he had received the order to send you on a harder mission.

• "You can't send my cute little (Y/N) off to something like that. No girl should do this alone!"

• One day things got serious when she heard that you were planned to execute a risky deal. Getting something from rather suspicious dealers.

• That day she made use of the tiny bit of blood, which she had been able to get from you a while ago.

• Pretending to be you, she did the mission successfully.

• But the whole scenario blew off while you were visiting the next time. Of course you hadn't had the tiniest clue about the mission that some were praising you for.

• You have never seen her so red, proud and blabbering at the same time before. She even offered you the money.

• Everyone was shook. Usually she would bite, if someone took one penny of her earnings.

• Respectfully you declined the offer, but thanked her for her effort. Things might have gotten dangerous there. So she owed you one.

• "Then I want you to move in! We can share a room! No biggie! Really!"

• And that was how you ended up living with the LoV without exactly wanting to. But she loved it, which she showed by hugging you for a decent 20 minutes.

• An owing is an owing, like you always used to say.

• Maybe it wasn't that bad to have someone as energetic, smiley and cheerful around. She definitely was something else.

SHIGARAKI TOMURA

• Not gonna lie, he liked your "Fuck the world"-attitude from the beginning. But you were a tool in his eyes that he could make use of.

• Very soon he began to test you to see what it would take to break you. How muchyou could take without falling.

• And that was a lot. Your motivation and your past kept you going, no matter how bad the wounds ended up being.

• Seriously, he didn't expect you to last that long. He was ... a bit stunned to say it like this.

• Then he wanted to try his luck by sending you to a mission that had a realistic risk for you to end up in jail or even get killed.

• So you refused. You said it right into his face that he should do it alone, if it was this important.

• In his attempt to show his dominance both of you got into a fight that escalated rather quickly - He accidentally destroyed your necklace, the only thing that you had taken with you from your past life.

• That broke you. First you started screaming and then you bursted into tears, confronting him with whatever came to your mind.

• To his own surprise, he felt something.

• Instead of mere annoyance or the urge to send you to the moon, he felt the wish to make you stop for your own sake. Because he felt bad.

• After you had stormed out, he ended up being alone at the bar with Kurogiri.

• "Sooo, any overly clever hints to fix this?" - "Shigaraki, you need to speak louder." - "ANY OVERLY CLEVER HINTS TO FIX THIS, PORTAL FREAK?"

• This poor guy avoided you for the next days and weeks as he couldn't forget about your face that had been filled with pain and sadness.

• But that was when he realised how much more space you were filling up in his head compared to everyone else.

• And how he had tried to get your attention by calling you in more than necessary.

• He nearly wanted to kill someone at his realization that he wanted to see you smile. An honest, sincere smile. Oh god.

• As he figured that he wasn't a coward, he showed up again after a while.

• Once he had seen you, he made a decision: Somehow you managed to lift a weight off of his shoulder with your simple presence. So you had to stay close.

BnHA Chapter 083: Your Hands Can Still Reach

Previously on BnHA: tHEY TOOK my SON. MY SON.

...oh god. yeah so. Vlad was a badass and so was Aizawa, but neither of them ultimately managed to stop Dabi and his group from kidnapping my child. Dabi bragged about how they were going to unravel society’s trust in U.A. after they let the students get attacked on multiple occasions. Back in the forest, Deku’s group tried to stop Dabi and co. from escaping, but Kurogiri’s appearance made that all but a foregone conclusion. Tokoyami was saved at the last second thanks to Aoyama’s intervention, but Kacchan literally disappeared right in front of Deku’s eyes. Like, they made eye contact, and Kacchan was all “stay away Deku” and like deadly serious because there was nothing else he could do, and then he was just. Gone. It was amazing omg

Today on BnHA: Everyone licks their wounds. It’s depressing. The U.A. faculty has a meeting to discuss how badly they fucked up (spoilers: a lot) and whether or not there is a traitor in their midst. All Might is particularly distraught, at least until Naomasa calls him to let him know the police have a lead on the League of Villains’ location. Class A visits Deku in the hospital. Kirishima tells Deku that he and Todoroki overheard Momo talking to the cops about the tracker she planted on the Noumu. Seeing where this is headed, Iida starts to protest, but Kirishima passionately says that because he was unable to do anything before, he feels like he has to do something now. He’s planning to go and try to save Bakugou, and tells Deku that it’s not too late.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 141 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)

everyone’s just licking their wounds on this opening page. Aizawa and the kids who are still able to stand are dragging the unconscious and wounded kids out of the woods

and Kendou’s dragging Tetsu and the unconscious captured villain because she’s also a fucking hero!! YESSSS GIRLS. YESSSSSS

Tsuyu and Ochako are catching up with the others, but they’re all just surrounding Deku who’s on the ground just screaming

someone needs to knock this kid out now for his own good. this is so far from on brand

fifteen kids in critical condition from the poison gas. holy shit. and 11 more injured, and one MISSING and POSSIBLY DEAD, although I know he’s not dead but THEY FUCKING DON’T AND HOLY SHIT THOUGH

and Pixie is also in critical condition from head trauma. realistic consequences!!!! now we’re getting to the point where not only is it more realistic than most anime, but most live action entertainment as well. someone gets banged on the head and doesn’t immediately recover?? holy fucking shit

and my girl Ragdoll is. probably fucking dead omfg. a large pool of blood and missing in action. wtf. realistic fucking consequences

holy shit I was wondering how the cops actually manage to contain these massively strong villains, and fucking look at this shit though

damn. I honestly don’t know how anyone has the balls to try and break the law if they know there’s even the slightest risk of them being wrapped up like an evil burrito and stuffed into a metal containment tube for the rest of their lives

can we give Tetsu and Kendou a round of applause. and Deku. and Tokoyami. not a single one of these villains was apprehended by the cops, or even the pros. this was all the kids. even class B was representing too for the very first time

I don’t know about you, but to me that could not have possibly gone any better. fanfic lodge, you lived up to your reputation and then some. more like canon domestic fluff and angst lodge. can I get a fuck yeah. holy shit

now we’re cutting to the next day at U.A.

the pros are holding a meeting

they’re saying they need to acknowledge “the disgrace” of allowing their students to be assaulted at a camp that was meant to prepare them for exactly this kind of thing

and they underestimated how far along the villain alliance had already come along. like, they were fairly sure there would be trouble soon, but these guys were already organized and making plans

yep. these are fast-paced villains for sure. y’all thought this was One Piece, but this is BnHA! we’ve already had like... four arcs. and it’s only chapter 83

okay Midnight’s bringing up something really important here

“ever since All Might came on to the scene...” but the thing is, he’s not on the scene any more. not really. and now we’re starting to see the result. he’s been trying to delay this as long as possible, but...

Mic is saying that the peace that All Might brought about made them complacent. it’s true, societies do have astonishingly short memories

All Might himself seems fucking devastated

please don’t beat yourself up, you couldn’t have foreseen this happening. you went and made the world better for a little while, and then you got hurt and now the world is starting to regress back. you were one man standing up against all the bad shit that was out there and you fucking did it somehow, even if just for a little while. and you fucking inspired a whole new generation to carry on that fight after you

okay and here is the biggest mistake they all actually made during this whole thing

yeeeep. big mistake. I know, hindsight and twenty-twenty, but. they were trying to seem strong and stable, but in truth they were anything but, and they went and put these kids out there in the spotlight and inadvertently made them targets. and on top of that, now it makes them look even more careless and incompetent by willfully ignoring the threat. while you were playing games, the bad guys were organizing their fucking shit

by the way, it’s so bland to see the Sheriff talking and not having it be in old-timey cowboy jargon. so I’ve taken the liberty of rewriting this:

“ta think we were fixin’ to giddy on up with the sports festival right after that first peck o’ trouble. reckon we got no choice but to yield this time. the abduction of a student is a real conniption. them there varmints didn’t just take Bakugou away -- they done took society’s trust in heroes away at the same time.”

(ETA: so I finally was able to read the Viz version, and. lmao. I don’t think I did a half bad job.

Rat Principal says the media is already “ablaze with criticism.” can’t fucking blame ‘em

he’s also speculating that the villains targeted Bakugou due to the rowdiness he displayed at the festival. basically, if a U.A. student -- and not just any student, but the kid who won the sports festival at that -- were to end up going villain, that would pretty much be the straw that broke the camel’s back as far as the public’s trust goes

so he’s saying no one outside U.A. knew where the lodge was. although I’ve been wondering about that. just how many forest lodges are there within reasonable distance of U.A. that could accommodate two classes’ worth of students for a week or two of training though? like, was this facility itself actually a secret, or was it just a secret that this was the facility they chose? because it could have just been process of elimination

but I like the traitor theory better :D

Midnight’s telling him to drop it but they need to fucking consider this though?? like, I get that the last thing they all need is to stop trusting even each other, but ALSO, if there is a traitor in their midst then they need to fucking address that shit though

at the very least, information flow needs to be much more tightly controlled from this point out. and they need to step up their own intelligence game. where my spy heroes at yo

anyway so yeah, now the Sheriff is saying that they can’t start turning on each other with suspicion because they’ll end up crumbling from within. exactly the point I expected them to make. but they still need to do something. maybe do the Tyrion thing from Game of Thrones where they feed different people different fake stories and see who takes the bait

(ETA: okay, so despite saying a few chapters ago that I wasn’t going to talk about traitor theories, I ended up going on a 1,500 word tangent about my top traitor suspects lol. it got so out of hand that I ended up cutting it from this recap, so I’ll actually be putting that up as a separate post. you can find that here.)

pressing pause on this for a second to smdh at the fact that they just initially dismissed this lead as being fucking irrelevant. why

so does this mean the villains are no longer using that hide-out? and did Momo not tell anyone about the tracker? has she also figured out that their location was compromised and that they don’t know who they can trust? is she still unconscious from the Noumu attack?

All Might is thanking Nao for the information and transforming into Muscle Might on the spot

now we’re cutting to the hospital

Kacchan has been gone for three days holy shit

(ETA: actually by my best estimate it’s about 48 hours from the time he’s taken up until the time he gets rescued. we’ll say roughly 12 hours from the attack to the U.A. faculty meeting the next morning; then this hospital scene which takes place approximately 24 hours after that; and then finally the rescue which takes place later tonight. we’ll say another 12 hours later just to make it neat and tidy. Deku saying “for the two days that followed” is a little confusing, but this is the only timeline that makes sense, and the other translations seem to bear it out.

and yes this is important to me lol because it makes a big difference in Kacchan’s mental and physical state. 48 hours is a long time to go without eating or drinking or sleeping -- none of which I can imagine that he would have been able to do -- and three days would be pushing it even more, so yeah. I need to know these things or else the angst lover in me can’t stop speculating over them lol.)

he’s turning to look at a little bowl of fruit, or something, with a note from his mom

so now on top of everything else he’s feeling guilty about making his mom worry

your mom? like, what about Bakugou’s mom though?? how is she holding up

(ETA: omg. from what I’ve seen of Bakugou’s mom, probably a hell of a lot of people got screamed at over these past couple days. I love her ngl)

I wonder how many of the kids were here visiting their other friends too. and I don’t see Momo among this number so maybe she is still asleep. Jirou and Hagakure were hurt by the gas... not sure who else was hurt

he says Momo sustained serious head trauma. omg. but I’m so fucking glad she’s okay. she was so brave and smart and composed in such a horrible moment

he says he and Shouto came to the hospital yesterday and ran into each other

they were both like “what are you doing here” and then “I couldn’t stand being at home and doing nothing”

(ETA: the way he’s clutching his chest here is so heart-wrenching. it’s the exact same way Bakugou clutches his own chest in chapter 118 when he’s wracked with guilt over what happened to All Might. damn these kids and their overdeveloped sense of responsibility and reckless disregard for my feels)

he says he wasn’t able to do anything, he knew they were targeting his friend but he couldn’t do anything and he only stayed put and Bakugou got taken

yep he is the airbender guy. I fucking love his quirk and I kiiiiiiinda wish he was in class A, actually. just, I’d really like to see how those air walls could be utilized in combat. they work for defense and for getting from place to place, and they’re just really cool

Hey boys and girls I’m back with more Bakudeku role-reversal talk (BTWs all and future posts regarding the AU will be put under the tag “Bakugou No Hero Academia AU” for ease with searching)

So last time we left off on the end of the Hero/Villain exams, so now it’s on to the Lunch incident

All Might tries to encourage Katsuki to try clearing the air with his classmate - he is stuck with them for three years after all, and it would do well to start making allies he can rely on in his career as a hero

Which is easier said than done, as Katsuki has currently learned that trying to murder your childhood friend during a class sanctioned test over feelings with your recently obtained smashy powers kind of makes people terrified of you (And also not like you a whole bunch but that’s neither here nor there), and them being terrified kind of makes them not want to sit with you at lunch.

He also learns that the apparent so-called murder attempt doesn’t stop said childhood friend from trying to invite you to eat with him and his new friends, because apparently he’s not only just a nerd, but a nerd with a death wish! (or at least that how Katsuki and a good 90% of the school sees it)

It’s a awkward, unfun time for everyone. No one can really talk to Katsuki and Katsuki doesn’t really want to talk with anyone. Attempts end with tense weird pauses or death threats. Izuku ends up filling the air with meaningless chatter because dear lord it’s so freaking awkward and they all know it but they can’t do anything about it because it’s so awkward. No one there really wants to admit they felt the break in by the paparazzi was a godsend.

The only real positive outcome of the incident is that Katsuki sort of becomes semi-antifriends with Ochako (no one is sure how it works, but it worked)

Enter: the USJ Villain attack

Again, Match ups are still somewhat the same except -

Uraraka ends up with Kirishima and Katsuki, and Tokoyami ends up with Izuku’s group I’m a sucker for Tokoyami based friendships okay!?

Izuku’s group escape from the sea disaster zone is radically different since Izuku doesn’t have One for All

Katsuki’s crew ends up going through the building disaster area a lot quicker (Gravity-Harding-Bakugou combo does wonders on evil villains trying to kill high schoolers) and end up running into Todoroki

Katsuki’s smart enough to realize Kurogiri needs taking out first and has Kirishima get on that

And that’s where everything kind of goes to hell because Tomura

Ochako floats Noumu what do you mean that makes no sense and I’m just trying to reference that one sketch Horikoshi did it doesn’t really work but she did it kind of

Katsuki almost loses his arm punching Tomura because for a frail skinny weirdo with pealing skin he can actually take a punch pretty well (that and Noumu got in the way of the first one)

They’re honestly pretty lucky All Might shows up when he does and that Izuku’s group come in at the right time to act as back up (Katsuki on his part is accepting of the help, but very openly bitter about it)

Izuku actually dunks Tomura in the water with his Quirk trying to help Katsuki and the others get away from him (Tomura will remember that)

He also accidentally sees All Might’s real form after the Noumu fight. Neither All Might or Bakugou notice, but his awkwardness towards him later on afterwards makes Katsuki suspicious

The entire thought process over the discovery is horrifying to him because he keeps thinking about is he fake and no it was definitely him and how is he maintaining that form for classes and how he must have to take breaks and is that why the slime villain got away from him and he must have pushed himself during the villain attack to suddenly change back and the villains must have known or they wouldn’t have done all this anyways and does anyone else know and does Kacchan know and is that why he seemed so interested in him on the first day and is always dragging him off to his office and is that why he didn’t show up on site and oh god he knows All Might’s darkest secret now?!?!?!?!?!?

(With the changes in the lineup some kids do end up getting badly injured and 13 gets put out of commission for a good while)

(or “Katsuki learns he needs to take a chill pill pt.2″)

The entire USJ Incident and seeing All Mights fight with Noumu kind of puts having One For All into perspective for Bakugou because he kind of realizes at this point he can’t rely on the power for everything

He’s also maybe a little frustrated he couldn’t help out with the fight the way he wanted (or at least not have to be save by Toshinori and Deku again) and anxious that should he screw up again All Might might not want him as a successor anymore lose more time as the pillar having to help him out again

Toshinori on his part at least tries to discourage Katsuki from taking the incident too personally and tells him to focus on school and the upcoming sports festival - which Katsuki takes as serious as a heart attack and makes his ultimate goal to win EVERYTHING

Izuku meanwhile is panicked and stressed out because the entire USJ incident was just a huge reminder of how unprepared and unsuited he and his quirk are for combat. There’s also having to fight against his friends (which he’s ultimately iffy about because they’re his friends) in the festival and KNOWING ALL MIGHT IS ACTUALLY FAKING BEING SUPER STRONG AND IS (maybe) MOST LIKELY DYING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO ASK ABOUT IT OR TELL ANYONE!!!! Poor kid’s too freaked out to even approach All Might about his doubts in participating

And it shows - Katsuki knows he knows something. He’s not sure what, but he knows...

Izuku is chosen to give the speech because if there’s any way of undoing any of the damage Bakugou’s initial attitude and their sudden popularity from USJ incident has done on Class 1-A’s reputation it’s Izuku (and he lost rock-paper-scissors)

He actually manages to do an okay job and tells everyone to do their best. Ain’t nobody can be mad about that.

Todoroki ends up getting first place in the race (Katsuki would have gotten it had he not spent what was left of it trying to make sure Izuku gets third

The calvary race ends with Todoroki’s win again, only Izuku ends up putting Bakugou in fifth by using his quirk to steal away some of his headbands

Monoma vs Izuku is hilariously anticlimactic because Monoma steals their headband, starts bragging and saying how much Class A sucks and then Izuku just...steals it back with his quirk and is basically like “Well...it was nice meeting you. Good bye.” and leaves and Monoma just stands there for a good few minutes before pretty much running after going “How dare you! You get back here and listen to me disparage you and your classmate properly!”

Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for - The Tournament

Poor Shinsou, instead of a heartfelt talk he just gets punched out of the ring (But Izuku does still talk to him afterwards so it all good~! I’m sorry I’m Shinsou biased)

Ochako VS Deku is less super end-of-the-world tense like it’s counterpart and more “You’re my friend but I’m wining this thing so I still have to kind of destroy you but we’re still cool!”

On the one hand, Bakugou “I don’t have time for your daddy issues” Katsuki facing off against Todoroki with One For All results in Todoroki not unlocking his fire side and what should be an easy victory. On the other hand, Bakugou “Use your goddamn fire side already I want an actual legitimate win against you” Katsuki facing off against Todoroki with One For All would also likely result in a lot of hurt feelings, hurt bones, and Katsuki losing due to his dissatisfaction not playing nice with his desire to win and thus tripping him up at crucial moments in the match.

Izuku does pretty well despite the disadvantages of his quirk because the kid is smart and has spent enough time watching everyone’s fights/quirk use to aid him in match ups, but I ultimately see him losing his fight with Kirishima realistically

And even if he were to win that and the next match and end up facing Todoroki, Izuku still would have ended the same as in canon since he still has his desire to help others

However, if, by some measure of miracle/fate/hero magic/whatever Izuku did end up in first place it’d be...hilariously ironic in AU-Verse as Izuku would basically be the dark horse to beat all dark horses. Like I love the kid but his quirk in this version of canon is basically a very weak/subtle version of telekinesis, forcing most of his battles to be hit-and-run tactic based - Outside of friends and maybe Aizawa, no one would see it coming. The fact of him managing to get into the top 4 was a stretch in itself and struggled for; getting first place is just-wow. Even All Might is shook.

Katsuki is disturbingly...quiet about his not getting first place. I’m mean he’s still his lovable angry foul-mouthed self but he doesn’t really harp on it as much as people expected. They’re honestly a bit terrified at it either meaning he’s quietly seething about the loss or is bottling it all up for an ultimate explosion of anger and rage (Or maybe both). The entire thing’s pretty much flipped his perspective on both his abilities and his classmates, and at the moment he’s just stewing on what to do to catch up with everyone

Izuku is equally quiet for different reasons, as his win/loss and the entire tournament has made him kind of realize he might have to reevaluate both his approach to heroing and his motives. (Of course no Toshinori as a mentor = Izuku not immediately realizing constantly acting like you have a death wish to help people might not be the best way to handle things)

18: Any HCs for the entirety of Class 1-A?each one of them has slipped up and called aizawa ‘dad’ once or twice. momo keeps a tally for each student in a notebook. hagakure, todoroki, midoriya, mina, and momo herself have slipped up the most. aizawa never flinches nor does he mind when this happens and is fully aware of the tally. he keeps his own mixed in with papers to grade and important files.

20: Which of the students do you think has the most potential to become a villain?i impulsively want to say bakugou, but when i actually think about it, i just can’t picture that?? the show (and manga that i’ve read) have made it a point to show and explain that he is a flawed, angry kid who does terrible things, but learns from people calling him out and losing and making mistakes and all that. so it just seems to whittle his characterization to bare bones by saying he might become a villain because of these things, ya know? so i guess the real answer is none of them XD
