Characters: Rafe Cameron
Summary: You agree to tutor for the Cameron's, but find your student less than cooperative.
Part of the Backwoods AU
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging.
Tumblr media
There aren’t many summer jobs in Hammer Ford, but you promised your parents you would find something. Without any response from the grocery store, cafe, or library, your search is hopeless. That’s until you ran into Rose Cameron.
“Weren’t you valedictorian?” She asked.
The scene plays over in your head as you step off your bike to walk it up the hill. What luck that she found you picking out flowers with your mother. Almost as if she’d been looking for you.
“Uh, yeah, last year,” you smiled.
It’s been a year since high school ended, since then you’d spent two semesters outside the hamlet. In the city, people don’t just come up to you for no reason, and rarely a good one. Nor do they know you by name. Your home town seems more quaint the longer you’re away from campus.
“Great, I need a tutor,” she tutted, “how’s fifty an hour?”
You shake your head as you straddle your bike again. It’s an offer you really can’t pass up, even if the Camerons weren’t the most friendly family in Hammer Ford. It doesn’t matter as long as you can tell your parents you have a job.
You pedal east towards the house on the hill. You’ve never been up there. Not even in high school when everyone was going on about the ragers at the Cameron ranch. It was never really your scene. That and you weren’t invited.
You slow as you approach the low fence, breathless as you stop by the closed gate. Do you let yourself in? There’s a gold bell mounted on the post. You ring it and it sends a thunderous toll through the air.
You wait, looking around, though you don’t know if anyone’s coming. Someone appears across the field. You recognise Ward Cameron as he nears, waving a gloved hand as he does.
“Hi, Mr. Cameron, um…” you hold onto your handlebars and dismount, “Rose, uh, asked me to drop by.”
“Sure thing,” he unhooks the inside of the gate, “I was just brushing Juliet.”
“Oh, okay,” you smile.
“You can work in the dining room if that works, or the back porch? It’s pretty nice out,” he lets you through the gate and secures it before he points you towards the house. “Really glad you could come out. We went to an agency in the city but they wanted us to go to them.”
“Um, yeah, sure, no problem,” you peer over at a foal and its mother in a pen, “nice place.”
“You think so? Does it look different in the day?”
“What do you mean?”
“Oh, I know about the parties,” he chortles, “it’s fine.”
“Well, I never…” you rub the back of your neck, “anyway, I guess we can study where Sarah wants.”
“Sarah?”
“Oh, erm, Wheezie?” You wonder.
“Did Rose not… explain?”
“I… assumed, well, she just said you needed a tutor so I thought…” You blink and chew your lip, “Rafe?”
He laughs again, “the one and only. We’re tryna get him back in good graces. He has a conditional offer in the city but he has to take an entrance exam.”
“Right,” you try not to show your discomfort.
Rafe is a year older than you. Even so, he never failed to knock your books out of your hands or laugh in your direction. When he graduated, the student populace sighed in relief but he only made it through one semester in college before he flunked out.
“He’s not the kind for ranch work,” Ward says as he gestures you up the front steps, “frankly, I don’t know what he’s cut out for but a degree will at least give him some prospects.”
“Mhmm,” you drone nervously. If Rose had said so, you may not have been so eager. You just assumed it would be one of the two Wards still enrolled in school.
“He should be around–” he pulls open the front door and lets you in first.
You step aside to slip your shoes off as he hollers for Rafe. You glance out the screen door and wonder if you can come up with a good excuse. Your mind is racing but you come up with nothing.
“What?” Rafe snarls as he traipses in through a broad archway.
“Tutor’s here,” Ward says.
“Tutor?” Rafe mutters.
“I told you,” he chides, “go get your books.”
“Dad, I told you, I’ll write the damn test–”
“And you’ll pass,” Ward insists, “books. Now.”
Rafe huffs and stomps upstairs. You turn around to watch him go. Ward shakes his head and beckons you onwards. You marvel at the neat interior. It’s all a lot more modern than the rest of Hammer Ford. A rustic contemporary mix of sleek white and faded pine.
“Feel free to help yourself to some water, or there’s a Keurig,” Ward offers, “I’d get you some myself but…” he holds up his gloved hands, “I doubt you like the taste of horse hair.”
You smile and nod as you slip your bag off your shoulder.
“Thanks, uh, I’m good,” you say.
“Don’t let him get to you. I know how he can be. He gives you any trouble, I’ll deal with him.”
“Sure, uh, no, shouldn’t be an issue,” you shrug, though you sound less than convincing.
“I’ll be around,” he says and taps the door frame as he leaves.
You sit as he goes and you open your laptop on the table. Your parents bought the used model for your first year of college. It’s a bit slow but it works. You’ll just need the wifi.
A sudden slam makes you yipe and jolts the table. You look up as Rafe stands across from you, scowling. Behind your laptop, there’s several textbooks and a notebook with curling pages. You try to smile but your lips only tremble.
“Oh, hey,” you eke out, “uh, so… we can start on comprehensive literature–”
“Fuck off, dork,” he drops into the chair.
“Well I… your dad–”
“My dad wants me to sit here and waste his money, sure thing,” he crosses his arms and rolls his eyes, “but i’m not takin’ no lessons from you.”
“Right, well, I…” you don’t know what to say. “Can I have the wifi at least?”
He doesn’t acknowledge your question as he pulls out his phone. You think he’s looking it up but he just sits and scrolls, his floppy hair drooping down his forehead. You fidget and flutter your fingers listlessly over the keyboard.
You should just go but you need the money. You close the laptop and reach for one of the textbooks. You open it and smooth the pages with your hand.
“Right, rules of grammar,” you begin, “nouns, pronouns, verbs–”
“Fucking dweeb,” he drops his phone and stands up, “for someone so smart, you sure are fucking dumb.”
“Identifying sentences…” you focus on the page as he paces.
“You think you’re so fucking clever,” he startles you as he pulls out the chair next to you, sitting in it as his elbow hits the table.
“Read the following and underline–” you angle the book towards him, silence by a jarring squeeze on your throat.
You recoil as his hand closes on the front of your neck and you push yourself back in the chair. You grab his wrist and choke, wiggling in your seat. What is he doing?
“What–”
“Shhhhh,” he puts his finger to his lips then presses it to yours, “you talk too much.”
You stare at him, wide-eyed, pulling helplessly on his arm. He smirks as he leans forward, pulling you towards him.
“You think you’re better than me?” He snarls, “let’s see about that.”

Wrong On The Money (4-5)

Blackmail fic on Ao3 | on tumblr
Summary:
Eddie hasn’t slept more than a couple hours at a time for days, simply because he doesn’t have time. He’s picked up a part time job at Thatcher Tire after school and weekends, and when he isn’t there or dozing through his classes at good ol’ Hawkins High he’s making drops all over town.  It’s just enough to make up for his uncle not being able to work right now, but barely.

And dear god, does he need a fucking break. It’s stupid, and irresponsible, and he absolutely lied to Wayne about where he was headed tonight, but he needs to let off some steam.
He’s wound up tight as a spring as he pulls up by the club, and sees Steve fucking Harrington going inside. It’s definitely him, too; Eddie peers in the windows of a nearby burgundy BMW he recognizes from around Hawkins. There's a gym bag in the back seat with HARRINGTON written on it, clear as day.
The spring winches even tighter, until something goes twang.
Because he can’t go in now. How could he possibly go in now, and share stagnant air with King Steve? Admittedly not the worst of the bullies on campus before graduating last year, but everyone had heard about what he’d called Jonathan Byers the winter semester of ‘83. So a hypocrite, at the very least—a freak in wolf’s clothing.
(And god, the clothing. The way the sleeves of his tight t-shirt cling to his biceps. His ass in dark jeans. His signature hair starting to get a little long in the back, as though he’s been foregoing haircuts lately, still big and swoopy like a cartoon character but in a more tousled way than he’d worn it in school—)
All of it makes Eddie’s blood pop and fizz in his veins, on top of everything else right now. . . . Then Eddie has an idea. Eddie has a wonderful, awful idea.
5.
Over the course of several hours of waiting, Eddie comes to a conclusion that he doesn’t like, but . . . desperate times. It’s only been a few months and he’s already fraying at the edges. What happens when Wayne gets worse? When Wayne. . . ?
No. Nope, he’s not going to think about it, because if he thinks about it right now then he’s going to have a breakdown on the hood of Harrington’s fucking car. Instead, he works his way through an entire pack of cigarettes while talking himself in and out of the gradually forming plan by turns.
And he happens to be talked into it when Harrington comes out of the club, sweaty and pretty and careless as you please, strolling up to the car like it’s no big deal.
Eddie breathes out smoke and stops grinding his teeth long enough to say, “Hey, man. What’s a nice boy like you doing in a place like this, huh?”
“I was just leaving, actually,” Harrington says, eyeing him as though trying to decide what he wants without actually having to ask. Wary, but not terribly concerned.
Which is just such a fucking insult. (But why wouldn’t it be? Even as hot as he is, even if he swings the right way, it’s not like Eddie had a shot with someone like this. It’s not like he’s about to torpedo anything.) Eddie has dirt on him now—even if it’s all terrible societal crap and pressure and bullshit, there’s no point in not calling a spade a spade. But the thing is. . . .
The thing is, everyone knows the Harringtons are loaded. They can afford to save a man’s life. If Eddie squints at it just right, what he’s about to do is basically tricking King Steve into good karma.
“Yeah, I should probably head out too,” Eddie says with forced casualness. “Say, does your girlfriend know you’re out here?”
“My what?”
Eddie’s lips tighten briefly around his cigarette. “You know, Robin? Bit of a motor mouth, about yea high—” he gestures with a flourish “—and usually attached to you at the hip outside of school hours?”
It takes longer than he expected for the reality of the blackmail to click, and even then, Harrington’s reaction is underwhelming. All Eddie gets is a slight rise of the eyebrows and a heavy sigh, almost no apparent anxiety.
Fucking arrogant. Does this guy really think he’s that untouchable?
“Is there something you want?” Harrington asks flatly.
And fine, there’s no point in not being direct. They’re not friends, and King Steve has always been an asshole who needs taking down a peg.
“Yep.” Eddie ashes his cigarette just shy of hitting the car’s pristine paint job, then stands to go. “Woods behind the field, there’s a picnic table back there. You know it?”
Harrington gives a curt nod.
“Great. Be there tomorrow after school.”
“I have work.”
“So? Call out sick, pretty boy, or Robin hears all about this little nighttime excursion.”
He doesn’t wait for anything else, turning away before his face has a chance to break into a grimace where Harrington can see. This is something he’s going to absolutely loathe himself for, but if it works? If it helps Wayne get better? Eddie can fucking live with that.

Peter woke to an empty bed, reaching for you sleepily only to find that the sheets were cold, blankets cast aside, and you nowhere to be found. Glancing bleary eyed at the clock on the bedside table, he saw that it was 4:20AM, so why weren’t you asleep?
He crawled out of bed sleepily, grabbing a random shirt off the floor and making his way out to the living room, where he found you huddled in a blanket and hunched over your laptop, typing away furiously. A small smile made its way across Peter’s face at the sight of your concentrated pout as he leaned against the doorway and watched you work.
God, you were so beautiful.
Peter wasn’t sure how he was so lucky to be with someone as perfect and beautiful as you were. He was completely. 100%, without a doubt, in love with you.
In his admiration of you, he hadn’t noticed that you’d become aware of him lurking in the hallway, and was now peering out at him with wide eyes.
“Oh my god, did I wake you?” You gasped, covering your mouth with a hand. “I’m so sorry, Pete, I—”
“No! No, no, you didn’t wake me. I had to go to the bathroom and saw you weren’t in bed.” He replied quickly, padding over to the sofa you were curled up on and sitting cross-legged next to you. “What are you doing up so late?”
“Got a bunch of stuff due at the end of the week, I couldn’t sleep so I figured I’d try to get some work done,” You sighed, shoulders slumping. Peter could tell that even though you said you couldn’t sleep, you were exhausted.
He’d noticed that you’d been working nonstop for the past few weeks, often staying glued to your laptop until you passed out at the kitchen counter, or the couch, or wherever you’d settled to get stuff done. This, along with going to your classes, your job at the campus gym, and your internship at Oscorp Industries, Peter worried that you might be spreading yourself too thin.
“Sweetheart, when was the last time you got a good night’s sleep?” He murmured, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair that had fallen out of your messy bun behind your ear. “And by good sleep, I mean more than four hours.” He added before you could open your mouth to respond, causing you to let out a tired chuckle.
“I don’t need sleep, I need answers,” You joked, drawing a roll of eyes from Peter. “But for real though, I don’t really remember.”
“If you don’t remember, then it’s been too long.” chided Peter. He eased your laptop shut, ignoring your protests and climbing to his feet. “Come on, Y/N. Back to bed.”
“Pete, I can’t—” You whined, but your whines quickly died off when Peter slid his arms under your knees and around your back, hefting you into his arms bridal style. Nestling your head against his chest, you sighed. “‘Mkay, fine, maybe just a few hours.”
The reverberation of his laugh rumbled through his chest, ticking your cheek as he made his way back to the bedroom, easing you down on the bed and stifling another laugh when you refused to let go of him. “Stay.”
“I was planning to, my love,” He murmured, trying and failing again to wiggle out of your grasp. Peter ended up doing a weird little half roll, half climb maneuver over you, tucking himself close to your body.
“Love you, Pete.” You yawned sleepily, snuggling even closer into the warmth that he radiated and nuzzling your head under his chin.
“Love you too, sweetheart. Goodnight.” He pressed a soft kiss to your hair, trailing his fingers up and down your spine soothingly as the two of you laid there together.
If he was waiting for a response, he didn’t get one, because you were already fast asleep.
“Couldn’t sleep, my ass.”

Not Today Mister - Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Chapter 1
-
He was so fucking pretty, this man was the definition of natural beauty, you swore. That hair was so soft looking and he smelled so good, so warm. You smacked your face to stop yourself from thinking about him too much, because you needed to fix this problem.
There was no way you were letting Aizawa Shouta stop you from going on your dream vacation.
He was just a man. (And a teacher and a hero that saved multiple lives).
You can beat this down. You can avoid getting a crush as long as you can avoid him. Perfect. You could do that easily, you were stealthy as the only janitorial staff on campus (and busy).
You were done for the day, after you strolled down the campus again an hour and a half everyone had left their respective places. Some students had been allowed in only two gyms, so you knew you’d have to go and clean that up later tonight, which you were fine with. The gyms would be closing around 10:30, unless there were other staff there.
You went back to your floor to make some late lunch. You were happy that you bought some groceries right after you moved in, because you would have had to go and buy it now – which you really wouldn’t want to do.
The noise level was ranging from high to higher, but you could live with it, since you would just listen to them for entertainment.
You were sure you might have heard someone screaming about how “Charlie bit my finger”, and that same kid shouted about memes again.
Another notable thing you heard was someone screaming about the noise levels and that there were rules here and how people must be respectful and understand that they should be quiet. It was funny, and you agreed with him mostly but you were annoyed he had screamed that out loud.
Other people were too, because they all shouted back to shut up.
Once they were all in their rooms, you were happy to roam around your floor to mostly silence as you ate your late lunch.
Each bedroom/personal room was soundproof but the hallways and the lounge area/living area? The kitchen and the bathrooms? You could hear it all. It was okay… yeah, you could live with it.
You played some music on the speakers which were lowered considerably for the other floors. You knew they wouldn’t be able to hear it and it thankfully drained out the voices from the floors. There was peace, once again. You grinned, feeling successful.
The late lunch you made was barely considered a meal – just some ramen and you blended up some frozen strawberries to make a smoothie. It was delicious.
-
Your phone started ringing and you quickly answered, “Hello, this is Y/n speaking.”
“Sweetie, when were you going to tell me your janitor job was at UA?? The school? The best school in the world? You are insane, I swear. You knew I wanted to be a teacher there!” Your friend practically blasted into your ear, you pulled the phone away with a chuckle.
“I couldn’t tell you then, it was in the contract! NDAs and whatnots, but I could tell you now cause I live here. But you can’t teach here, you still have to retire as a hero and stuff, and I know you aren’t ready to retire. You barely just started – what was it, two years ago? You didn’t even go here for high school!” You replied, laughing a bit more.
She sighed, “I’m not even a hero, I’m a sidekick still. You’re right, ugh, I should’ve just tried being a teacher instead of a pro hero.”
You pouted, “Shut up, don’t talk low about yourself. You have the ability to be a great pro hero. And you can still be a teacher, I mean, if you really want to, you can quit and go teach or again, wait until you’re retired.”
“Oh, god, I just realized something.” She gasped into the phone, and it made you clutch the phone tighter.
“What’s wrong?” You responded, worried.
“I can’t come over anymore, can I? Oh no, we can’t have movie nights or karaoke nights or any nights anymore.” Aya groaned loudly over the phone.
You blinked and then for a moment you wondered if that was true, “I’ve gotta ask the boss about that, but I think he’d let you in. You are in the hero business and if anything happened, you’d be able to defend yourself and others.”
“You’re smart. I can’t believe you didn’t finish going to school to be a doctor.” She noted back and you snorted.
“I found a faster way to go on my dream vacation, that’s why I didn’t finish school.” You shot back and she sighed.
“Whatever, let me know when you talk to your boss, and if I can’t come over then I’ll sneak in. But I have to go now, see you later sweetie, bye.” She hung up after you said goodbye back.
You hummed to yourself, then wrote down a note for when you would next see Nezu, you’d ask him if Aya could come by.
-
Around 10:40, you rolled by the two gyms to start cleaning them up. You had taken a nap earlier to waste some time.
Thankfully there was no one outside of the first gym, and once you got inside, the lights were already turned off. You turned them on and paused when you heard a grunting sound.
You paused in your movement, eyes wide as you slowly turn your head to look into the gym.
There, in the corner, someone was using one of the training material, on one of the blue mats that were laying out on the floor.
You didn’t say anything, hoping to stay silent and let them do their work out. You didn’t look at them for much longer than a second before you started to do your job.
Maybe you should have come back later, after that person was done with their work out, but you felt like it was a decent time for you to finish up.
You didn’t recognize whoever it was, your vision wasn’t very well. In fact, you should have brought your glasses with you to do your job, but you didn’t tonight.
As you slowly started to get lost in your work, cleaning some equipment, the mysterious person walked over and stood behind you, not saying anything. You didn’t notice at first as you were scrubbing one of the pieces of equipment with a sanitizing wipe.
“You turned the lights on.” He spoke up, dully watching as you turned around, spooked out of your mind.
You couldn’t stop the gasp coming out of your mouth as you realized it was Aizawa, once again. You stared at him, for a few moments before forming a reply, “Excuse me!” And again, you pushed past him, and this time you shut the lights off and ran out of the gym, forgetting your cleaning equipment.
Not again.
This was the second time he’s arrived and now you have been distracted enough to not do your job. This was most definitely not good.

ℙ𝕙𝕠𝕓𝕠𝕤 𝔹𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣 - ℙ𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝 𝕊𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪
(R) School Uniform: "This is how good business works."
Tumblr media
(NRC: Library)
(Two students enter the library. Nyx is sitting at the front desk, wearing a purple vest with gold trim that says “Student Assistant” on the left side of his chest.)
Nyx: Hey, welcome in.
Scarabia Mob: Hey dude! We need access to the restricted section upstairs.
Nyx: Restricted section? Sorry, but someone’s up there already. You’re gonna have to wait until he comes down, first.
Scarabia Mob: Actually… we’re here to see him, if ya catch my drift.
Nyx: Oh, right right. In that case, follow me. I’ll unlock it for you.
Scarabia Mob: Sweet! Thanks dude!
Nyx: Yeah, no problem.
(Nyx gets up from the front desk and the two mob students follow him upstairs.)
Ignihyde Mob: Dude… where the hell are you taking me? Why are we going back into the restricted section of the library?
Scarabia Mob: Just trust me on this, man! This guy is the real deal. Scarabia Mob: He’s never done me wrong before. And all he asks for is money up front, unlike that sketchy ass Azul who’d ask for your soul and first-born child.
Ignihyde Mob: I dunno, man, I think I’d be better off just figuring this out on my own…
Scarabia Mob: It’s okay, dude! Just give him a chance. Hear out his rates, and then you can say no after, okay?
Ignihyde Mob: Alright, alright, fine...
(NRC: Library – Restricted Section)
Nyx: He’s usually in the back to the right. Head to the 610’s, he should be there. Just check in to the front desk when you’re done so I can check you off the visitor’s list.
Scarabia Mob: Thanks man!
Ignihyde Mob: Th-Thanks…
(The two mob students walk to the back of the restricted section, where Phobos is set up with his laptop)
Scarabia Mob: Hey Phobos! My man here’s in a bit of a pickle, thought maybe he could talk to you about “taking care” of it for him.
Phobos: ……
Ignihyde Mob: -! Phobos...?!
Scarabia Mob: Oh, you know him already? Well, guess you guys are in the same dorm, huh. Scarabia Mob: Hey, go on, man! Tell him what you need. Remember what I told ya, the more detail the better. It’ll make his job easier.
Ignihyde Mob: Shit- alright, okay…! U-Uh… So there’s this guy in my class that’s kinda being a real dick to me. Ignihyde Mob: He keeps getting up in my business! Asking me all these invasive-ass questions about my life, pretending to be my friend and act all buddy-buddy with me… Ignihyde Mob: And on top of that, I think he’s setting me up to be the culprit in a bunch of bullshit that’s been happening across campus! Ignihyde Mob: You know the other day when all that food went missing from the staff lounge and the cafeteria? And after that they said test questions disappeared from the office and they said security saw me going in and taking it? Ignihyde Mob: That’s totally impossible! I was in my dorm sick with a fever when it happened! I think that guy set me up for it! He’s got faculty and security searching my room and breathing down my neck, and I can’t take it anymore!
Phobos: …Name.
Ignihyde Mob: W-Wha? Mine? My name is-
Phobos: Not yours, his. I need a name for me to do my job. I’m not some miracle worker. Phobos: Give me his name, his class number, student ID, or something, I don’t care what. More details the better.
Ignihyde Mob: Ah- w-well, I don’t actually know his name, but I can tell you a little bit about him. Ignihyde Mob: He’s in Diasomnia. A first year, like me. Class 1-B. He’s kinda tall, hair’s in an undercut, dyed white on top... Ignihyde Mob: Is that enough…?
Phobos: Yeah. I can work with that.
Ignihyde Mob: Whew… Thanks-
Phobos: 2,000,000.
Ignihyde Mob: Eh?
Phobos: 2,000,000 Madol. Gimmie the cash and I’ll make him disappear.
Ignihyde Mob: D-Disappear…?! I-I don’t have that kind of cash, and I don’t want him to disappear! That’d only get me in even more trouble! Ignihyde Mob: I just want him to leave me alone. My friend told me you can do that, right? That's all that I want.
Phobos: You didn’t specify what you wanted from me. Chill. Phobos: If it’s just a lesson you want taught that’s 20,000 Madol. Take it or leave it. I don’t do anything unless you pay up front.
Ignihyde Mob: Ugh…
Scarabia Mob: I’m tellin’ you man, it’s the real deal. Scarabia Mob: Remember that guy that was messing with my locker and stealing stuff out of my room? He avoids me like the plague now after I got Phobos to deal with him.
Ignihyde Mob: That’s all my allowance for the rest of the semester though… Ignihyde Mob: Man- Alright, fine. You’ve got a deal. B-But I need to get the cash from my room. I don’t ever carry that much money on me.
Phobos: I’m here til 8:00pm when the library closes. If you don’t get here before then… well, now you know where to find me.
Ignihyde Mob: F-Fine. C’mon man, lets go.
(The two mob students turn to leave, leaving Phobos alone in the Restricted Section)
Phobos: ……
(Phobos dials someone on his phone)
???: Heyo.
Phobos: It’s Phobos. That guy you’ve been bothering this time finally came to see me.
???: Hahaha! No shit?! Oh, that’s rich~ I was wondering when he’d finally have enough. It was taking so long I was starting to think maybe he'd go to Azul this time instead. ???: Sooooo, did he just come in to “teach me a lesson” or did he actually try and get rid of me?
Phobos: The usual package. He didn’t have the balls to actually get rid of you for good.
???: Uuuugghhh... that's so weak. Everyone here is so weak. Why does nobody at this school have the dedication to actually off their fellow classmates? Talk about boring.
Phobos: None of my business. You’re getting the usual cut, either way.
???: Sounds good to me~ I’ll be looking forward to it~
Phobos: …… Phobos: Just so we’re clear, I’m not exactly happy about this agreement.
???: Hmm? What, are you planning on cutting off our deal already?
Phobos: No. This situation is just... frustrating the hell out of me. Phobos: The only reason I accepted your offer in the first place was because that bastard Azul kept taking all my usual customers that wanted ways out for more benign and petty purposes. Phobos: I need you to take it up a notch if this is going to work. Start pissing off bigger targets or something. Start stealing things from people. Sabotage. I don't care what you do, but we need to make a bigger impact. Phobos: Find help even, if you need to. If we can't tip the scales in our favor, we're going to keep losing this uphill battle.
???: ...I thought you'd never ask. ???: I'm insulted that you'd think I of all creatures would ever need help with something as easy and fun as raising a little hell. But don't worry, I'll grant you your wish~ ???: I'm expecting a little more than our current rate in exchange for my time, however.
Phobos: …Our profit margin split isn't changing.
???: Oh, I'm not talking about the profits. I want something a little more valuable than that.
Phobos: What... more valuable...?
???: Heheh... Lets just say I'll be “taking a little off the top” with some of these future customers of yours. ???: Ciao~
(The phone line hangs up)
Phobos: Tch... Sketchy bastard... they're always up to something. Phobos: ...But it's not worth the effort to bother with stopping them. Not at this point in the game. Phobos: If I spend any more time or energy working on actually getting my customers then I'm working at an even greater budget deficit than I already am. Phobos: I’ll get there eventually. Then I can finally trim the fat off this “deal” and work on my own like I’ve always wanted. Phobos: As long as the stakes are rigged in my favor for now, it’ll pay off in the end. I just need to remember that. This is how good business works.

Prologue [ Welcome to the Villains' World ] Chapter two
when they at the dorm it looks like old building that ghost Pokemon live.
"Hmn.. that have a lot of character.."
The old building that Crowley had lead them was like ghost Pokemon live in there, and they would be right, the building is on a hill, have a lot of dead trees and a half broken gate Florida looked at the building like it can make a good home for now, Everyone go inside the building, the inside wasn’t better than the outside, Florida think which pokemon can help with what, until someone say.

They watched the rain until there was a sound coming from outside that got Florida and Sylveon’s attention.
“GWAH! It’s raining out here!” a familiar voice, Florida look at where the sound coming from to see the fire cat pokemon, Grim again “Oh my Arceus”
Grim have saw Haxorus and Goodra “Nya!? How many monsters do you have?”
"I don't know never count them before” Florida told Grim as she go pets Sylveon to calm down. "But how you get in here again though"
Grim looked so prideful “Of course I would just sneak back onto campus the second I got kick out, You got no idea what I’m capable of, I'm not giving up on going here just cause I got kicked out one time”
“you got a lot of spirit I can tell that but why want to go to this school anyway?” Florida asked.
“Isn’t it obvious? I was born to do this! I'll become one of the greatest mages who ever lived! So I’ve been waiting and waiting for that black carriage to come for me. And yet” his eyes started to have some tears. “Hrmph! That Dark Mirror’s got no eye for talent! That’s why I came here by myself. You humans don’t understand what a mistake you all making! by not letting me in. This is a great loss to the World!”
A rain drop from the ceiling drop onto Grim face as he jumped. “Nya! C’mon, please let me stay inside, I’m getting dripped on here!”
This made Florida let out a chuckles.
"Ah, indeed! It seems I'll have to repair the roof too" She said as more drops came from the ceiling.
“Ah! Another hole in the roof!” Grim cried as he took cover. “ These flaming ears are like my signature, you know? I can’t let them get all wet!”
“And here I thought all my fire and rock type pokemon was fussy with water” At that Gogoat, Sableye, Gallade, Goodra and Haxorus come back into the room some with the cleaning supplies
"Go gogoat"[We have the cleaning supplies master]
"Good job guys and what about you Rotom?"
"Buzz Rotom have connect to our PC back home, which pokemon you need?"
"Ok well I need all other the eeveelutions, Cinccino, Blissey, Quagsire, Gardevoir, Leavanny, Chandelure, Eelektross, Joltik and all Lycanroc"
"Ok master" After few minutes pass, some pokeball appear in the air, Grim look so surprised by that.
"Nya? How did you do that???"
"Technology" Florida answer, she take out all pokemon out "Come out guys, I need your help"
As the pokemon come out they confused but one pokemon say.
"Cin cinccino!!"[This place is Not Clean!!]
Both Jolteon and Espeon agree with the chinchilla-like Pokémon.
"Gar? gardevoir"[Master? what do you want us to help with]
"Ah yes, since we're in different world and this place is where we stayed until we can get back home so I think some of you already know who gonna do what"
"Jolteon!!"[Cleaning time!!]
"Yes yes the cleaning supplies is with—"
Cinccino, Jolteon and Espeon already have the cleaning supplies and start to cleaning the house.
"Ok the cleaning team is already do that next is landscape for other pokemon that'll be Leafeon, Vaporeon, Glaceon, Quagsire, Leavanny, Blissey, Gogoat, Sableye, Gallade, Goodra, Haxorus and all Lycanroc you guys know what to do"
"Ly!! lycanroc"[Of course!! Let's go Big bro Nox and sister Layla]
"Lycan!!"[Slow down Saule!!]
All other pokemon follow the 2 Lycanroc outside of the Ramshackle dorm.
"Ok now Chandelure please light this place also explores"
"Chandelure"[Yes Florida]
Chandelure go around make the Ramshackle dorm bright a little bit and have some place to sleep.
"Now is— Gardevoir use Psychic over there" Florida point at the stairs.
The Embrace Pokemon unleashes psychokinetic energy around the stairs revealing 3 ghosts. One of them is giggling.
“Bwa ha ha ha ha ha. You sure have good instincts. It’s been a while since we’ve had guests!!”
“Oh, I’m itching for new friends! ha ha ha ha ha ha!”
“AAAAAH! GHOSTS!!” Grim screamed so loud.
“If you’re so scared of ghosts. How can you will handle my ghosts pokemon” Florida said to Grim. "They look like three marshmallows ghosts with a cute top hats" She said this with gentle voice.
“All the people who used to live here got scared of us and ran away” The average-looking ghosts explained.
“Oh, They did? How rude of them” She know people though about ghost pokemon and real ghosts in a scary way.
“I’m the great Grim! I'll not be afraid of any dumb ghosts! Myahaaa!” He use ember to the ghosts but they immediately dodged.
“Not even close.” The bony ghost said.
"Why would you close your eyes while use ember. Let's my pokemon show how it done. Umbreon, Dark Pulse"
The Moonlight Pokémon start to shoot out black and red energy ball at the ghosts and hit right on the head.
"Ow that somehow hurt" The ghost sounds surprised.
"How did you make it so easy" Grim say in annoying voice “Myah!! I’m Grim, THE GREAT GRIM!!! How come I can’t even hit one of these little—“
The ghost started to laugh at him “Hrmph! Ganging up on us… You all just a cowards!”
"Rest assured, if you gonna to follow my command, your aim will be perfect" She look at her Pokemon. They know that they have to stand back and wait for her command.
“Shut up!” Grim argued. “I don’t need anything from you, human!”
“I’m a trainer and used to be champion this is what I do for a living” Florida say back at Grim “Look, what if you chase them out, the headmaster would let you enroll in here?”
Grim immediately changed his attitude. "so all I have to do is follow your command?"
"Yes follow my command" All the 3 pokemon took their places. Sylveon stand next to Florida, Umbreon let Grim on top of her, Gardevoir also stand next to Florida as well.
“You tell me which way the ghosts are!”
"Yeah yeah. Gardevoir use Psychic get them out of their hiding places"
"Gardevoir"[Of course Master]
Gardevoir unleashes psychokinetic energy and get them out again.
“Ah!!, what are you guys?”
“Are you like us too?!”
"How did they get us out again"
After that, the Pokemons and Grim quickly dealt with the ghosts. With one last ember Grim threw at the ghost, they gave in.
“Aaaahhh! Ok ok you win! We gonna get out of here! Before we'll be disappeared for good!” They all vanished.
"If you want a another round. We shall give you better than this one" She said.
“H-huh? Did we… win?” Grim said in shock. Umbreon make Grim got down from her and go back to Floride's side.
“You all did amazing” She said as she pet her Pokemon then turned to Grim.
“Aw, geez, I was scared out of my—“ He quickly stop and said. “I mean they didn’t scared me one bit! What you got to say now, ghosties? That’s right!”
The Pokemons looked at him weird but also didn't care about it. “Well that's done now the roof—”
The door opened again and the Pokemon ready their attacks again but it was just the headmaster.
“Good evening. In another gesture of my kindness, I have brought you dinner.” He noticed Grim. “ Wait- That’s the creature we ejected for causing trouble at orientation! What is it doing here?!”
“Helping me with the ghosts problem you forgot to told me about” Florida say back at him with an intimidate gaze.
Grim looked surprised but quite confident with the old champion backing him up.
“You’re welcome by the way!”
The headmage looked confused. “What is the meaning of this Miss Lumia? But you know, on that topic, I do recall that this dorm had mischievous ghosts problem. Ah yes… That’s why it was abandoned, in fact because the ghosts scared away all the students”
“And did that fact just gone from your mind when you let me and my friends stay here?” Florida say with an annoyed tone.
“Yes, sorry about that but you were saying that you 2 joined each other forces to make them go away?”
"Yes it still just like a Pokémon battles and that's what I do for a living" She said while petting Sylveon.
“ ’Joined each other forces’ that isn't exactly how I’d describe it. More like I drove them away, and the human watched. And I only did it because I want some tuna”
“Yes, you drove them away with MY command and MY Pokemon’s help”
Crowley looked at her really impressed. “You truly are beast tamer. Would you two be so kind to demonstrate your ghost-eradication methods for me?”
“One no cause I already wiped them all out.” The cat argued. “And two no cause where’s my tuna?!”
“I will play the part of the ghosts. As for the tuna, you’ll receive it when you defeat me.” He smiled. “Oh, what generosity, Crowley…” He then pulled out a bottle of some kind and drink it in one go. The headmaster became ghost
The Pokemon ready themselves up for the next battle again as Grim complained.
“Ahhhhh!! you gotta be kidding me. I gotta work together with the human and her weird monsters again?”
"Stop complaining before I'll ask Sylveon take you out of this dorm and didn't your sole opportunity is to be in this school"
“Hrmph. All right, but this is the last time. And I better be up to my tuna afterward!”
Crowley didn’t last very long. With the combination of Gardevoir use Psychic to make him appear when he vanished. Umbreon use Confuse Ray and Grim use ember and with the help of Florida command them, they quickly able to beat him. The Pokémon didn’t even break a sweat but Grim having a hard time catching his breath.
“Well? how is that? Sir” Florida asked.
“Incredible… I’ve never seen anyone bend monsters to their will quite the way you have” The headmaster muttered and returning to his original form.
“That’s what my job, headmaster" She told him.
“I must confess my educator’s intuition did sense something about you after that accident at orientation. Miss Lumia I could tell you has a certain animal beast trainer that have master-ish quality to you. Oh yes. That said, I…” he kept mumbling to himself while Florida and her pokemon gave him a no reaction look ;-; .
“Really? That was your first clue about my job? About what I do for living?” she said. “Anyway would it be possible for Grim to stay with us?”
“WHAT!? A monster to stay HERE!?”
“Whoa..” Grim say and genuinely touched by her words.
"I'll say it again sir. Please consider allowing Grim to stay in this dorm. He may have fiery temperament but I have had experience dealing with such spirited Pokémon in the past. Therefore even if we try to dismiss him again he would find a way to come back. By letting him to stay, I can assume the responsibility of taking care of him. I asking you kind sir, to grant us this favor."
Crowley sigh. “Hmnn… I suppose I can not deny your favor Very well.”
“Myah?! Really?” Grim yelled as Sylveon gave his trainer an unsure look, but Florida reassured him with smile.
“Let me be clear!” the headmaster interrupted. “Under no circumstances would I admit anyone to Night Raven College who has not been selected by the Dark Mirror especially not a monster! Nor do I intend to allow you Miss Lumia to freeload until you’re able to return home”
“Never should have got my hopes up…” Grim muttered.
“Now allow me to explain. Since the Dark Mirror somehow transported you here. Therefore this school does bear some responsibility for your well-being. So I'll allow you to remain in this dorm free of charge. However you'll need to pay for your own food, clothing, and other stuff. As to how you'll do so penniless as you are…” he thought for a moment.
“Ah Yes, I’ll simply going to ask you to do a few odd jobs around campus. From what you’ve done here, Miss Lumia. I can tell you know your way around a broom. So what do you say to you two working together as a janitorial team? If you agree to that, I will make a special exception and allow you to be on campus. I’ll also allow you to use the library, so that you may study, and research ways to return home. How boundlessly kindness I am. Ah, but only when your work is over, of course!”
Florida sigh. “I guess it can’t be helped. Okay headmaster”
“What?! What kind of deal is that?! I wanna put on one of those sweet uniforms and be a student, not a janitorial!”
“If you’re not satisfied with my offer, I can just have you thrown out again.”
“Myah?!... Alright, fine! Let’s do it.”
“Don't worry Grim” Florida said “With the help of my 3 Pokemon that love to cleaning, we’ll finish everything fast”
“Wonderful, starting from tomorrow morning work as hard as the newest members of Night Raven College’s janitorial staff!”
"Ok sir"
“See you in the morning,”
The masked man was already out the door, “Sleep tight, you’re gonna need it!”
"Time to make the PC now and oh yeah fix the roof too"
"Gardevoir"[I can fix that Master]
After sometime later the ghosts appears again they saw Grim asleep and Florida making Pokémon PC.
“Do you ever sleep?” one of the ghosts ask. “You’ve been working on that machine to midnight”
"I'm almost finished this and I'll go to sleep" She yawn.
“So I hear you’ll be living here from now on” the bony one asked. “Hope you like pranks as much as we do! Ha ha!”
She smiled at them. “I sometimes fondness for pranks but however you need to limit your pranks before one of my Pokémon will start a war pranks.”
She extended her hand to them. “I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself, I am Florida Lumia but you can call me Flor. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
The three ghosts looks with each other, then the average-looking one came forth and put his hand on top of hers. “Pleasure to meet you too young lady. My name is Brody” he first pointed to the large ghost then the bony one. “This is Mason and Philip. To be honest you’re really different from everyone we have met so far”
“Yeah, you’re not scared of us one bit,” Philip spoke up.
“Why should I be scared? My mom is ghosts trainer so I met a lot of ghosts Pokémon" She said and looked at the clock.
"I should go to sleep now" She yawn and pick Grim up and the ghosts giggle and disappear. She go to her bedroom and sleep.
Tomorrow morning she already wake up and making breakfast for her, Grim and all her Pokémon.

So I watched Lilo and Stitch again. And was curious if aliens would exist in twisted and how it would be if Yuu was actually an alien.
I’m genuinely not sure if this is a request or if you’re just asking my opinion but I can definitely answer this to the best of my abilities
In terms of whether or not I think twisted wonderland, in particular, would have aliens…probably not to be honest. But then again, maybe?
On a technical level, Yuu is actually an alien. This is a character from another world with different physiology, physics, rules of nature, etc. So in that sense, yes aliens exist.
But you were talking about Lilo and Stitch kinda aliens and in that case. Probably not.
From a storytelling perspective it doesn’t seem likely due to the fact that Twst is more focused on the fantasy based Disney properties rather than the science fiction properties.
Now, let’s say there are aliens in this universe similar to what you see in Lilo and Stitch
Yuu as an alien….would be Grim
Yeah sorry this is kind of boring.
But on the other hand, let me offer you some headcanons since my hot takes are pretty lukewarm (don’t get me wrong though, I love the concept of Alien Yuu!)
Tumblr media
Alien Yuu
The fuzzy, eight legged creature that was inside of the black coffin, draped in ceremonial robes, was not what anyone was expecting
Much less for this creature to immediately run up the walls and refuse to come down
There’s got to be a mistake, right? This…this can’t be right.
The dark mirror assigns the creature to Savanaclaw.
Hades lord almighty the creature goes to school. With normal ass people.
Also for the record I think Alien Yuu wears a tiny, tailored version of the uniform, unlike grim
Luckily, since it’s small and fluffy, it doesn’t take up much room. But it’s an alien that barely understands language as a whole so it’s kind of an asshole.
This thing. Yelled at constantly. Half the time it’s Riddle collaring them (which works exactly one time because Yuu tries to bite him) or Sebek yelling about this atrocity allowed to be inside of the school.
But sometimes, Yuu is adorably present
The creature starts attending classes and doing well?? And particularly gets good at animal linguistics.
Eventually learns the common tongue and starts talking and thinking out loud a lot more.
Ends up being like, the fifth scariest student on campus. Both because that thing is not even close to humanoid and bites, and also because it’s magical talent is wildly overpowered
I’d like to think that some students just. Pick up alien Yuu and carry them around
Alien Yuu has probably snuck into Leona’s room at least once and napped with him. The amount of panic he had at being met with those big black eyes when he woke up made everyone worried some was attacking him
This thing eats anything in sight. Tried to eat a cauldron at least once. Has eaten several vials of alchemy ingredients
I’d imagine that Malleus would find them interesting and just sort of study them from afar. And they just start following him around
Now they’re the second scariest student in school
It’s not clear who’s job it is to take care of this thing but it’s probably Leona’s. Anyway they smell like dirt a lot
Honestly probably bathes like a Chinchilla? Not sure if that’s important information but it’s information I needed to give
When someone finds out they have a phalangeal jaw the Leech twins are coming over to bond over biting people.
Speaking of, alien Yuu totally steals food from other peoples dorms. Is banned from Octavinelle (also tried to bite Azul)
You may be wondering how this thing is going to deal with overblots, right?
The aggressive power of hugs and also just eating peoples pens
Grim has the decency to wait until the person is done with their mental breakdown to eat their magestone, but Alien Yuu just does it as soon as they notice trouble
Ended up snapping Riddle out of his rage by just. Playing up how cute and fluffy they are. Forced to cuddle with a sentient fucking teddy bear.
Basically how they deal with all of them.
Except Azul, in which they deal with it by biting his tentacles (don’t worry, they grow back)
Also don’t think about the fact that this alien would be Crowley’s errand runner and make a deal with Azul. Yeah they did those things but they also share a braincell with Ace and deuce so they’re not doing them well, just solving issues with brute force

College themed AU #11 lol
Hello love! Hope you enjoy this little tale of a freshman Katniss and her (hot) resident advisor, Peeta Mellark
11. I took a bunch of free condoms from health services just because I could and they all fell out of my bag at once and now you’re staring at me weirdly
------
“How are you doing, sweetie?”
Katniss grated her teeth, hearing the concern in her mom’s voice. “I’m okay.”
“Making new friends?”
She walked distractedly up the steps to the building in front of her. “Uh-huh.”
The automatic doors of the health services building opened as Katniss reached the top and hurriedly walked in, greeted by the sterile white walls and the overhead music in the waiting room.
“Listen, mom. Can I call you when I get back to my dorm?”
“Alright…but Prim and Haymitch are going to be disappointed to not get an update at dinner,” her mom replied. “You know they live for the stories of your college shenanigans.”
“I’ve been at Panem University for three months. I don’t think they’re living for my updates on finding the best study spot.”
“You know they miss you and so do I.” Her mom sighed. “I can’t believe my first baby is in college.”
Katniss snorted. “You say that every time you call me.”
“And I’ll keep saying it until you’re home for Thanksgiving and I can say it to your face.”
“Love you, Mom. Say hello to Haymitch and Prim for me.”
Katniss hung up, tucking her phone into her tote before looking to the front counter. Johanna said that they would be there, free for the taking.
Well, her roommate didn’t exactly say that to her. She was on the phone with someone and was telling them.
Katniss just happened to overhear it.
She walked over to the counter where the clear jar stood, filled to the brim with condoms.
Quickly glancing around to make sure no one was watching, Katniss grabbed a handful…then another before rushing out the door.
As soon as Katniss was outside, she let out a breath. She felt the sweat pooling underneath her olive-green winter jacket as walked back to her dorm.
What the hell was she doing?
This wasn’t her. She wasn’t the kind of person who cared what people thought. She enjoyed reading a good book on Saturday night instead of going to parties like Johanna. She wasn’t a student body representative like Annie, their neighbor, or into rugby like Delly, who was in her physics study group.
She was just…her.
However, Katniss—whoever she was, was lonely.
Katniss was miles away from home in District 12. She was freakishly close to her family. Her mom had her young, like still in high school young, and was more her friend than her sister.  Her dad had passed away in a work accident when she was four and her mom was pregnant with Prim, her sister. When Prim was born, Katniss took on the role of caretaker, changing diapers and feeding Prim when her mom needed a break. Prim practically thought of her as another parent.
Then when Katniss was ten, she met Haymitch Abernathy.
He had come into the diner that her mom worked at one rainy afternoon. Katniss was sitting at the counter, taking orders for Sae, the owner and cook. He struck a conversation asking about the specials before finally asking why a kid was taking orders.
To which she replied, “Who else is going to?”
Her mother who was bussing tables came to the counter, she and Haymitch met eyes, and that was it.
Fortunately, Katniss loved the man, too.
Her stepfather treated her and Prim like his own, even tearing up a bit as he moved the last of her things into her dorm.
Now, alone on this vast campus, Katniss found longing for…someone.
And she figured that the best thing she could do was find a companion. She wasn’t looking for a relationship, busy with classes and her job at the nearby café. However, someone who could warm her bed occasionally and get her to relax was much more feasible.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sudden onslaught of rain that was now coming down.
“Shit!”
Katniss pulled her tote closer to her and ran towards the dormitories. She couldn’t afford to get sick.
By the time she stepped into the building, Katniss was soaked and shivering.
The hallway leading to her dorm was empty and the sound of her sneakers squeaking echoed loudly against the linoleum floor.
Katniss was shaking as she got to the door and she reached into her tote, searching for her key—
“Hey, Katniss. Do you need help?”
She turned to find Peeta Mellark, the building’s resident advisor, behind her.
He smiled and Katniss couldn’t help but blush.
In his fourth year at Panem University, Peeta glowed with that confidence of knowing exactly who he was and where he was headed in life. Rumor had it that he was poised to take over Mellark Bakery, his family’s world-famous business which Peeta’s grandfather had started and Peeta’s father had made a household name.
“I-I-I’m fine,” she told him through chattering teeth. “Just have to find my keys—”
Her tote slipped off her shoulder, tumbling to the floor.
She watched in horror as the impact caused everything to spill onto the ground.
Including the condoms, which Peeta’s shoes were now covered in.
Their eyes met and his expression was nothing short of horrified.
“Fuck!” Katniss went to her knees, gathering everything and throwing everything into her bag. “Sorry about that—”
“Let me help.”
Peeta leaned down, his blue eyes full of sympathy, and helped her throw the assortment of condoms back into her tote. They worked quickly, and he even managed to find her keys which he held out to her.
“You’re probably wondering why the hell someone like me needs these,” she muttered, her eyes darting down in humiliation.
“No!” Katniss looked up and met his gaze. Peeta sighed before continuing. “I’m just wondering if there was anything you wanted to talk about.”
They both stood up and Katniss adjusted her tote securely against herself.
“I’m sure you have better things to do than listen to some freshmen whine,” she replied.
“Come to my room.”
Katniss crossed her arms. “Why?”
“Because you obviously need to talk to someone,” Peeta told her. “Plus, about twenty minutes ago, I saw Johanna leading some guy into your dorm.”
Katniss scowled. “Shouldn’t you be doing something about that?”
“As long as she’s being safe and he doesn’t spend the night, I can’t tell her what to do,” he explained. “However, if he’s there past nine then I’ll kick him out. You need your place, too.”
Peeta put an arm around her, leading her to the end of the hall towards the open door of his dorm. She tried not to react to the feel of the boy next to her. Despite being soaked, the side that was pressed against him filled her with warmth and Katniss let herself relax into his hold.
Entering his dorm, Katniss examined the room, her eyes immediately going to his bookshelf. She headed towards it, stopping to look over the titles. Most of them were old textbooks but Katniss was surprised and pleased to find that he had some classics from Nathanial Hawthorne to the Bronte sisters. Her eyes were on Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God when she felt his stare on her.
“I keep some of the textbooks in case someone needs them,” he explained as Katniss turned to him. Peeta handed her a towel. “For your hair. I have some sweats and a t-shirt in my bathroom in case you wanted to change out of your clothes.”
“Thanks.” Her eyes remained on him. Truthfully, there was a lot to appreciate about Peeta—the golden hair swept back artfully to highlight his cerulean eyes, his broad, muscular stature, and a smile that made you feel like you were staring right into a sun, and you didn’t give a fuck that your flesh was probably burning off because it was just that damn beautiful. “Why are you helping me?”
“Because I’m a little concerned about what kind of plans you have with the sheer number of condoms in your bag,” he explained. “Why don’t you change and we can just talk? I’ll make hot chocolate.”
“Will you put some rum in it?”
“You know I can’t,” Peeta chided, his mouth rising in a smile at her disappointed pout. “I can already tell that you’re going to give me trouble.”
Katniss smirked. “You have no idea.”
++++++
Katniss came back into his room, hiking his sweats up since they were huge on her petite frame. She tied the hem of the shirt into a knot and braided her long dark hair while in the bathroom, realizing how much better she felt in dry clothing.
Peeta was sitting on the couch next to his desk, a mug in his hands. “You’re looking a lot more comfortable.”
“Thanks.” Katniss took the mug he held out and took a sip. Closing her eyes, she hummed at the warm, sweet notes of cocoa hitting her tongue. “Of course, the baker boy would know how to make delicious hot chocolate. I don’t even care if you drugged it.”
“I didn’t drug it,” he protested. “And I don’t appreciate the insinuation.”
“Sorry, I forget that people don’t understand my caustic personality.” Katniss joined him on the couch. “It’s not for everyone, thus my lack of friends.”
“You’ve been here for three months, and you have a full schedule,” he told her. “It’s normal to not be social when you’re busy and homesick.”
“You can tell I’m that miserable?”
“I saw you with your family when you moved in.” Peeta smiled in remembrance. “They were all wearing shirts with your face on them. Your mom burst into tears as they left, and your dad hugged you for a full minute before letting go. You held onto your little sister until she stopped crying. You’re someone loved very much, and it can get lonely because you’ve left that behind.”
“Exactly,” she replied. “But I realize that I’m busy and can’t do relationships. So, I made the decision that I need someone to help me get through the rough patches of college life.”
Peeta leaned back against the sofa. “You’re very cavalier about sex.”
“Because it is just physical to me.” Katniss took another sip from the mug. “I don’t need physical love because I already have emotional love in my life. What I do need is someone to help me destress.”
“And you think it can be that easy?”
“Please don’t act like there aren’t guys on this campus just gagging for someone to bang who doesn’t care that they leave in the morning,” she countered. “Not to mention that I’m eager to learn.”
Peeta ran a hand through his hair, laughing wryly. “You’re insane.”
“No, I’m logical.” Katniss gripped the mug. “And I’m lonely.” She looked down. “I’m not good with friendships. I’m not even sure that Johanna likes me around. I think it would be nice to be held and touched by someone even if it’s for a few hours. And I don’t mind learning some life lessons along the way.”
“Life lessons?” Peeta leaned toward her. “And what does that entail?”
“Someone who can advise me on the sex life of a college girl,” she replied primly. “An advisor of sorts who can teach me how to blow a guy but at the same time advise on how to schedule in a lay in-between midterms.”
“Have you ever given someone a blowjob?”
“Once and it was altogether…okay. It was my high school boyfriend and we had sex after that.”
“How did that go?”
Katniss shrugged. “Fine. A little uncomfortable and at first Gale couldn’t find my…entrance. Also, he came super quick which I think meant it was good for him.”
“Huh.” Peeta mused over her words. “Sounds about on par with my first time. I assure you that we get better.”
Katniss chuckled. “I’d like to discover that for myself.”
“Okay then, how about me?”
She raised a brow. “What about you?”
“I’ll advise you,” he explained. “On sex.”
Katniss looked at him in disbelief.
“Why? I’m sure that you’re not hurting for someone to hop on the Peeta train.”
“I’m graduating in a few months, and I don’t need to get into a relationship with someone at this point. You need help and as your resident advisor, it is my duty to ensure that you feel comfortable during your college stay.”
“Are you any good?” Katniss countered.
Peeta reached for her mug, placing it on the table next to him. Holding out his hand to her, he waited until Katniss took it.
“Straddle my lap,” he suddenly commanded, his eyes darkening.
Katniss saw the hunger in his stare and her body responded immediately. She felt the rush of heat to her core and the sudden pebbling of her nipples. Carefully, Katniss approached him and brought her knees to each side of his hips. Slowly, she brought herself onto his lap lining her center just on his crotch.
Peeta was hard against her, and she rocked, feeling the length of him slide along her covered slit.
He grunted, his hand going to her hip and fingers splaying on her ass cheek.
“You obviously have an effect on me, Katniss,” he told her, thrusting up suddenly. A moan fell from her lips and Peeta smirked, his hand reaching to the nape of her neck. “I think I might have an effect on you, too.”
“Fuck…” Katniss rolled her hips against him, the slide smooth because of the slick on her panties. “Please—”
“Yes…” Katniss closed her eyes, jerking herself against the strained erection as Peeta’s hand wandered underneath her shirt. His nose pressed along a peaked nipple, sending spikes of electricity through her nerves. “Yes…” The hand on her hip gripped as he thrust hard against her, pushing against her clit. “Peeta!”
“What do you say?” His mouth went to her neck, sucking against her pulse point and Katniss’ eyes rolled back at the tightening of her core. “Do you want to do this with me?” His hand slid down to her breast, cupping and brushing his thumb along her nipple. “We can take care of each other.”
She heard the tremble in her voice as her body tensed and her climax overtook her.
Something warm spread across her core and Katniss opened her eyes to find Peeta staring up at her, flushed and grinning.
"I think…” She stopped to catch her breath. “…we could come up with a suitable arrangement.”
Peeta reached, drawing her down until they were face to face. He brushed his mouth along hers, his tongue sweeping slowly as he explored.
Katniss moaned, tasting hot chocolate in their kiss. She wanted more. More of this. More of him.
“Alright,” he whispered against her. “Should we start now?”
Katniss laughed before pulling him into another kiss.
----------
I feel like this could be done right here.
However, I also envision a second part taking place years later where they somehow meet again and there would be scenes of the past interspersed with the present day.
Thoughts?
Also, if you’re wondering—Katniss is (newly) 19 and Peeta is 22.

ik nothing abt assclass but please elaborate on your au if you would like to👁️👁️
OK YES OFC!!!!! Sorry for late response I was waiting until school got out lol
Ok so the premise of assassination classroom is as follows: kunugigaoka junior high is a private college prep school notorious for having an extremely hard curriculum and extremely smart students. It is a school of the elite minded, and all the students are faced with an aggressive pressure to excel. The school has a class for third years called 3-E, dubbed the “End Class”. If your grades drop too far, or you show behavioral problems, or disobey school protocol even, you will be shipped off to this class, which is located in the old rickety school building up a mountain and surrounded by forest, just off the main campus. These children can’t participate in extracurriculars, are given no facilities or accommodations, and are faced with intense discrimination and bullying from other students and teachers. They are used as a threat to keep the other students motivation high. You don’t want to end up in E class. And then one year, the moon explodes. The next day, class 3E’s teacher is gone, and replaced with a giant yellow octopus. This is korosensei, the being who blew up the moon, and can travel at Mach 20 speed, can regenerate limbs, and has plans to blow up the earth in exactly a year. His one request was to the teacher of this class for unknown reasons. The government allowed this, since they would then have tabs on him for most of every weekday. They want to kill him before his deadline, and so they tell the kids that since they’ll be around him every day until then, they will be tasked with the job of killing him. However, his teaching and the assassination motivation gives these kids hope and they actually begin to grow and progress. He genuinely cares about these kids and is an amazing teacher. With help from government agent tadaomi karasuma and assassin irina jelavic (aka professor bitch), these kids attempt to assassinate their teacher all while balancing their hellish school life and trying to overcome hardships.
My au is about toya if he were in this class. He is just beginning his rebellion against his father, and is just learning how to navigate it. He begins to do whatever he can to defy his father, and so he purposefully starts failing classes to distance himself from the image of what his father wants him to be. A lot of his personal development comes from realizing that he is his own person, and he doesn’t have to sacrifice things that he loves or that is a part of him just because it’s related to his father.
Also I am going with that white hair from stress hc I saw awhile ago because I LOVE it, so as the year goes on his hair lightens a lot until it’s almost at the point it is in canon by the end of the year. And also. Toya is interesting. Especially in middle school and as a child. I think his time with tsukasa and saki is very formative to him, and he really internalizes a lot of what tsukasa says since he idolizes him so much. He’s very… pure of heart for lack of better term. He believes at first that they can convince korosensei not to blow up the earth by showing him love and friendship, and is almost optimistic in a lot of ways. He clashes a lot with the more realistic and pessimistic members of the class due to this. Also, at one point the class learns parkour to aid in their assassinations, and I like imagining toya because of his fear of heights lol. I think he’d be really good with both knives and guns, but is a sucky sniper because he gets scared when he’s up on the perches. He has relatively weak bloodlust, at least when compared to someone like karma or nagisa, but he’s very talented at channeling what he does have. He can think of spectacularly creative assassination plots but a lot of them aren’t very… realistic and thus are near impossible to pull off. He’s one of the smartest in the class, but stays as one of the lowest ranked for a very long time until he finally decides to put his father behind him and not let him ruin his future like that.
I have. A lot more thoughts but they’re kind of everywhere and hard to explain without the context of the show lol

What made you want to be a vet?
ooooh now this is a good question!
I’ve known I wanted to be a doctor since I was 12 years old. all the way through undergrad I was determined I was actually going to be a human neurosurgeon (how crazy is that??) and like half way through college I just had this realization that not only did I not enjoy working with human patients, but I also didn’t want to be in residency until I was in my 40s. I wanted to hit the ground running and start making a name for myself. I had some long conversations with one of the counselors on campus about what kind of paths were open for me as a pre-med student and what experiences I had had in the past. I remembered I had done a month-long externship in high school with a veterinary practice because I was enrolled in a medical program in high school. I remembered it had been quite cool because vets get to do a lot of surgery, which is where my passion has always been since I was 12. So I decided to look into switching from pre-med to pre-vet. I didn’t have to change anything with my biology degree, but I invested a bunch of time into researching vet school and what it took to apply and what I needed. One of the big things I needed was like 250+ shadowing hours in the veterinary field, so I kinda took that as my way of discovering my passion and investment in the field. I shadowed for an entire year and the animal hospital that I took my own dogs too as a client, and I just utterly fell in love with it. from the first day I stepped into the back and really met the doctors and techs and started to watch surgeries and learn about diseases, I just had that gut feeling that I was where I was meant to be, and I became so passionate about it and really dedicated myself to it. I would go down to the clinic literally every day after classes and I loved it. I even did research on vet schools and found the newest one was in AZ and I came and visited the campus and the second I started the tour, I knew. I knew it was the place I was meant to be. It took me a lil bit to get there (didn’t get in on my first cycle but I I refused to give up and got accepted on the second cycle) and I have never looked back. Even with all the struggles of vet school (between difficult classes and anxiety struggles and the pandemic and the crushing loss of failing NAVLE) I refuse to give up. Even on the bad days, i find the little things that remind me how freaking much I love this job and how passionate I am about being a vet. I never thought I’d say this, but I’m so happy I found my path because being a vet is what I’m meant to do and I love it wholeheartedly.
That was a whole essay I’m sorry, as you can tell I love what I do heheh. Anyway, tl;dr - I wanted to be a human doctor but found my true passion was treating animals and I can’t wait to work with dogs and cats (and exotic species too!)
come chat with me!

This Love ~ Part 8 🩵💜
In Sickness And In Health
Tim is working around the clock on a special Metro Operation. Lucy falls ill which she plays off as no big deal. Until it wasn’t.
A lot had been going on in the Bradford house. Wedding plans were now set in stone. There was just little things here and there. Tamara was now officially a Bradford. Tim and Lucy had formally adopted her. Tamara had decided to live with her Mom, Dad and Kojo for the remainder of the school year. She was contemplating living on campus next year. However, Tim and Lucy wanted her to continue living with them. Tim wanted her to fully concentrate on school and not feel stressed with finances. Tamara was on a full scholarship. Tim was more than willing to help with any finances that she had so she wouldn’t have any extra stressors. Tamara had always been independent, working many jobs but it was getting to be a lot. After many conversations, Tim and Lucy made her realize she is not a burden, she is not alone anymore. She is their daughter. They wanted the absolute best for her. She finally came around and allowed her parents to help her out financially just like any loving parent would do for their child. She still demanded to keep one part time job to feel like she was contributing. She was right at the end of her semester before winter break. She was spending a lot of time at the library, but given what had happened with her attack a few weeks prior. She promised both Tim and Lucy she would return home before dark each night and do any night studying done at home.
Tim was right in the middle of a huge operation that Metro was heading. As he was the Metro Sergeant, some nights he was literally at the station or in the field on stakeouts around the clock. He had a couch in his office where he could catch little cat naps. Tim hated being away from Lucy. This was part of the job, unfortunately. Pine had given him a few hours off to go home and check in as he had spent the better part of a week working on this op. Tim and Lucy had a nice dinner together and were catching up on some top chef episodes. Tim had noticed something was off with his fiancée. For years now, he always noticed when things were off with her. Especially, the aftermath of her being kidnapped and trapped alone in that barrel. Tim still and probably would always carry a little guilt over the trauma she endured. Tim still felt he pushed her right towards Caleb even knowing full well he could have never foreseen what could have happened. Since that time, Tim would see when Lucy was feeling off in any way even through the years where they were denying their feelings and in the friend zone. Now, even more so that they were together and about to get married, that intuition was even stronger. As he was snuggled with the love of his life. He could see her physically struggling. She was congested and on a few occasions he could hear her breathing was a little laboured. She looked pale and seemed fatigued.
“Luce, baby. Are you ok? I can tell you aren’t feeling well”
“Tim. I’m fine. I think with work and the wedding planning, I am just run down. It’s just a common cold. I promise babe, I’m ok”
“Luce. I’m just worried. I never like to see you feeling like this. Especially, when I can’t be here to take care of you”
“Tim. If something serious come up. I assure you. You will be the first to know”
“OK. I will let this go, FOR NOW. I love you”
“I love you too, my fiancée”
“I CANNOT wait for you to become Mrs. Bradford”
Just as they were almost asleep in each others arms when Tim’s phone started chiming on the coffee table. “Ugh” Tim knew who exactly was interrupting them. As he picked up his phone and saw that he was in fact right. Pine was summoning him back to the station as they had a lead.
“I’m sorry, my love. I have to go”
“I know, babe. Stay safe and I love you”
“I love you too, beautiful. Take care of yourself. Promise me? And if you start to feel any worse, I want a call”
“I promise. Now get out of here and go save the world”
Tim grabbed his bag and keys. As he opened the door and looked back, he had a tear escape his eye. He never liked leaving her. Especially, when she wasn’t feeling well. All he wanted to do was take care of his girl. In that moment, he felt like he was failing her. This was the job and they both understood the sacrifices but it still never got any easier.
Tim pulled his phone out to make a phone call to their kiddo.
Tamara answered “Hey Dad. I’m just leaving the library and on my way home. Promise”
“Good. Hey kiddo. Listen. Luce isn’t feeling well and I have been called back into work. The last thing I wanted to do was leave. Of course, your mom is being well your mom. She is downplaying how she is feeling so I won’t worry. Can you please keep an eye on her? If anything seems even a little off, please call me right away”
“Of course I will. I will stay by her side. If anything seems off I will bomb your phone”
“Thank you, kid. Get home safe and text me when you get home. And…T? I love you”
“I love you too, Dad”
Tim had been staking out a situation for a few hours. He had headed back to the station to give an update to some of the team, catch a little rest. As Tim was sitting at his desk working on some paperwork, his phone started ringing. Seeing his daughters name flash across the screen.
“Hey, kid. Is everything ok?”
Tim could hear the panic in her voice.
“Dad. Something is wrong. Mom was having trouble breathing. I found her propped up in bed. Her breathing was wheezy and she was gasping. I called an ambulance. I don’t know if that was the right thing to do but I was scared”
“NO. T. You absolutely did the right thing. They didn’t want me to come in the ambulance. I am in my car about to go to the hospital. They wouldn’t tell me anything”
“T. Listen to me. I am heading to the hospital. I will be there as soon as I can. You just wait for me, ok?”
“Ok. I will see you soon”
“Kiddo. She’s gonna be fine. I promise you. I love you and will see you very soon”
Tim found Pine in her office. Telling her the situation with Lucy. Pine didn’t even hesitate and told Tim to go. He had been on this op around the clock and somethings matter more. She assured him they would cover the op in his absence. Ordering him to go and be with his family.
Tim raced to Shaw Memorial. He put the pedal to the metal like he was in a high speed chase all to get to his family. Tim bolted through the doors where their daughter was waiting for him.
Tamara’s face was puffy and red. She had been crying and full of worry.
“They won’t tell me anything. She has been back there for almost an hour”
“Come on, kid. Let’s go get some answers”
As they approached the nursing desk.
“My name is Sergeant Tim Bradford. This is our daughter and we would like to see my fiancée, Lucy Chen…NOW”
“Ok. Sir. Let me go and see what I can find out for you”
Ten minutes later, a doctor emerged from the back.
“I’m Dr. Brody. You are Lucy Chen’s family?”
“Yes. I am her fiancée and this is our daughter. I-Is she ok?”
“So. Firstly, your daughter did absolutely the right thing getting her here. Secondly, Lucy has pneumonia. After a chest X-ray, it was found there is a significant amount of fluid surrounding her lungs. There is extensive wheezing in her breathing. Her O2 sats were very low. We now have her on IV steroidal antibiotics. This will overtime, attack the infection. She will need to stay here for a few days on a strict medication protocol. I fully expect her to make a full recovery”
“Thank you, doc. When can we see her?”
“I will send a nurse to come and escort you shortly. She is being moved to a room now”
Tamara gasped out a breath of relief. Tim swiftly grabbing her into his arms.
“You did so good, kiddo. We are so lucky to have such a smart daughter”
“Thank you, dad. That was scary. You were right to be concerned. You knew something was off with mom”
“After so many years, I tend to see things with her that she doesn’t even see or because she is so stubborn refuses to see”
“Dad, you are in a for a crazy ride”
“Am I ever. I wouldn’t change a thing. Let’s go see your stubborn mom”
Tim and Tamara entered Lucy’s room. She had an IV running from her arm giving her medication. Oxygen prongs in her nose to keep her O2 sats elevated. She looked pale and tired. Lucy hears footsteps, opening her eyes and giving a vague smile. Tamara ran over to her beside.
“T. I’m ok. Thank you for getting me here. I am sorry for scaring you”
“I was terrified but I’m just glad you’re gonna make a full recovery. You know, dad knew. He ordered me to get home because he couldn’t be there. He didn’t believe your ‘I’m fine’ bit for a second”
“Oh, I am sure that’s true. I should really know by now that I can’t get anything past him”
“Yeah, you would think after all these years. You would just stop fighting everything and reside in that fact” added Tim.
“Ok. I could use some coffee. I am going to give you some time with dad”
Tamara passed Tim “Take it easy on her”
“No promises” Tim smirking
Tim made his way towards Lucy’s bedside. Interlocking his hand with hers.
“Baby. You scared me AGAIN. This has to stop”
“I know. I am sorry. I honestly knew I didn’t feel well but I never thought I was this sick”
“Uh huh. I should’ve never left you. I knew something was wrong and every part of me hated leaving”
“Babe. You could have never seen me becoming this sick. Of course, you called for reinforcements. We do have an amazing daughter”
“We sure do”
“I’m gonna be just fine. I will follow all doctors orders and more importantly yours”
“Have I died? Are you really gonna listen to me?”
“Oh, stop”
“Luce. You have been going non stop. Work, wedding planning. It’s been too much. I am going to do a better job of helping you. Whether you want me to or not. We are a team and I am going to offload any stress. I never want to see you sick like this every again. I was trying to keep it together for T. I was terrified. I love you so much”
“I love you, Bradford. Kinda ironic the vows in regards to ‘in sickness and in health’ rings even true before we are officially married”
“Yeah. The irony is not lost on me. How about we just concentrate on the health and not the sickness for the foreseeable future”
“Sounds good to me. I am tired. I am gonna try and get some rest”
“It’s about time. You sleep, gorgeous. I will be right here when you wake up”
Tim sent Tamara home. She had finals to prepare for and needed rest. He was not only in husband (almost) but also dad mode. He promised to give her play by play updates. Tamara reluctantly left. Tim sat beside Lucy’s bed. Feeling such relief and also pure love for his perfect family. Only four weeks until Lucy would officially be Mrs. Bradford.

Against All Odds
Part 49
McCoy
Classes couldn’t end soon enough. McCoy dropped his PADD and texts in his room and then went to find Christine. He had to know what she knew and how she had learned it. Weren’t they being careful enough?
He searched all over and finally found Christine on a bench near the back of campus.
“Hey,” she greeted him.
“How do you know?” He got right to the point.
Christine’s grin faded. “First, if you’re just playing with his heart I’ll tell everyone. You don’t get to come in here, thinking you’re a prince and better than us and mess with someone’s heart knowing you can’t ever actually be with them. And trying to keep it a secret? Sneaking around?” She shook her head.
McCoy blinked at the sudden fierceness behind Christine’s words. Then his own anger boiled over.
“You have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m not playing games, or trying to conceal things because I’m a prince. I could care less about anyone's wealth or status. If you think me or my family are anything like Khan and his friends, you’re dead wrong.”
“Then why the sneaking and hiding?” Christine asked, still with a bite in her voice.
McCoy sighed and sank down onto the bench next to Christine.
“Because of people like Khan and Archer.”
“What do you mean?”
“Archer basically told Scotty to stay away from me because I’m a prince.”
Christine looked at him wide eyed. “Seriously?”
McCoy nodded.
“That’s bullshit,” Christine said vehemently. “Scotty’s one of the nicest, kindest, smartest people in this school. How dare Archer!”
“Christine… you aren’t going to tell, are you?”
“No. I was just worried about Scotty. I didn’t want him to get hurt.”
“I wouldn’t hurt him,” McCoy said softly. ‘Not on purpose.’
“How did you figure it out?” He had to know.
“Scotty’s been really upbeat since you came. Except one morning, but that must have been after Archer. You guys glance at each other in class when you think no one is looking. And every time you leave the lounge? You two are the only ones not around.”
McCoy stared at Christine. He had thought they were doing a good job being careful. He bent over and rested his face in his hands.
“I don’t think anyone else has noticed,” Christine offered.
He let out another sigh. Why couldn’t he just have a normal life. Christine ran a sympathetic hand over his back.
“I could help.”
“How?” McCoy sat back up and looked at her.
Christine shrugged.
“I could be a red herring. Everyone thinks it’s me and you, and won’t notice it’s really you and Scotty.”
McCoy’s eyes went wide. “You’d do that? Why?”
“Cause Scotty deserves something nice.”
“I… I’d have to ask him what he thinks.”
“Of course,” Christine said. “But the offer is there.” She shrugged again.
“Christine…”
“You have a good heart Leonard. I can tell. I just had to make sure.”
Part 50
Scotty
His talk with Pike had gone well. Apparently the man didn’t know anything about Leonard and him. He only wanted to talk about Scotty’s extraordinary performance in most subjects. Apparently his astrophysics teacher had actually been serious about talking to the headmaster. They had agreed on Scotty changing a few courses so that he could learn on a higher level.
For most of the day, he was still anxious though. What did Christine know? And how much did she know?
It was driving him nuts to be left in the dark, but eventually he got a message from Leonard.
*Meet me at my room?*
His heart was beating faster the moment his mind comprehend the words.
Leonard wanted to meet him… in his room.
He had rarely been to other rooms than his own. Keenser’s or Jim’s one or two times, but it wasn’t the usual way. Every guy stayed for himself.
So the Scotsman hesitated a moment before he send his reply. He would come as soon as everything was clear to go.
He waited until everyone was either outside or at the lounge before he sneaked through the corridors.
With a silent knock he announced his arrival and soon enough Leonard opened the door. He quickly pulled Scotty inside.
Scotty didn’t know what he had expected of the room. It belonged to a prince after all!
But contrary to his expectations, the room was only slightly bigger than Robbie’s and his own. There were some pictures on the nightstand showing the royal family. Spock’s side of the room didn’t look too different.
“So?” Scotty instantly asked, fear written all over his face.
Leonard knew exactly what he meant. He gently grabbed Scott’s arm and they moved over to the bed, sat down.
“Christine really knows about us. Apparently we weren’t careful enough. She connected the strings when she realized that both of us were missing from the lounge.”
Damn it! Scotty hadn’t thought about that.
“Will she tell anyone?”
Scotty knew Christine and trusted her with his bloody life, but… she was a very talkative person.
It calmed him when Leonard shook his head.
“No, she… even offered to help us. She is really protective of you, you know?”
Protective? Of him? Scotty hadn’t known that.
“She thought I was only playing with you. That I was going to break your heart.”
That was nonsense! Right? He only knew Leonard shortly but he knew that this was real.
“How… does she plan on helping us?”
Leonard explained that Christine had offered to play the happy couple with Leonard. Some students already thought that. And this way no one would suspect Scotty.
It was a good plan. But Scotty knew that it would hurt too. To see Leonard close to someone else. But… it wouldn’t be real. They’d be playing roles.
“Okay. Let’s do it like that.”
Archer wouldn’t know. Khan wouldn’t know. It was the best way to keep everything a secret. So Scotty agreed.

heyyyy. update time.
so i feel like a lot has happened in the past month.
i’ve finally come to terms with my own sexuality! pretty sure in bi but not really sure if it’s more than that. don’t really want to put a label on it right now. over the summer, when i was drunk, i told my sister that but we haven’t spoken about it further until i told her about a girl celebrity crush i had lmao.
i’ve been listening to so so so much boygenius and phoebe bridgers. i want tickets to their concert so bad oh my god.
bella came home for break and i took her to my campus to drink. it was fun and nice to catch up with her. can’t wait for summer.
connor confirmed he’s transferring to my college! he’s living off campus but right by my favorite bar and about a twenty minute walk from my dorm, which isn’t awful. idk how often we’ll even go to each other’s places but lol.
i selected my dorm with people i know from high school and friends of friends. it’s a lot more spacious and nice than my dorm last year so im excited. it’s one of the newer ones. it’ll be nice i think.
i also chose my schedule for next semester and i only have three obligations a day, but it’s every day of the week. but i’ll be done by two every day! which is so nice. and i’ll get work again next semester.
our friends really think connor and i will have something this summer. im excited but also nervous. i don’t want to get my hopes up again. like i said im apprehensive about starting a relationship with him because i don’t know if he’d be the right fit for me but at this point im taking whatever i can get. i think the experience would be nice ykwim. but anyways.
counting down the days until summer. i’ve got my job set up again and everything. hoping to make some good money. but yeah. that’s all for now. im pretty content. mostly because the school year is almost over.
i’ll update again after finals. <3

If You Like Piña Coladas (Factory Boys, 3/?)
Jared can’t wait for his shift to end Friday morning so he can go see Jensen in the store. Jared texted Jensen after his shift ended, but Jensen was too tired to talk much.
The last hour of Jared’s shift seems to last all day. He’s not doing much, which doesn’t help. Production is slowed down in anticipation of the break, so there aren’t too many repairs to do. Jared ends up hanging out in the engineering office with the interns and his boss Mark. One of the interns, Osric, seems pretty cool. He’s from Penn State as well, but he goes to the campus in Middletown, two towns away from Hershey. He wants to go to main campus for grad school, so Jared shares about his experience up there.
Finally, it’s time to clock out. Jared punches out and changes his clothes in the locker room. It’s really cold, and the sun won’t rise for nearly an hour. This isn’t Jared’s favorite time of year. But all that falls out of his head when he walks into the store and sees Jensen. He’s ringing up a customer’s order, and Jared recognizes him as one of the deaf employees. At the end of the transaction, Jensen signs “thank you,” and the man smiles.
“Hey, Jensen,” Jared says once the customer is gone. “How’s it going?”
“It’s picked up,” replies Jensen. “Good to see you. Sorry I couldn’t talk last night. Yesterday was brutal.”
“What happened?”
“Not only did they send Valentine’s, they mixed our regular order in with it,” says Jensen, scowling. “So we had four skids to sort through, on the floor, to find our weekly order.”
“Yikes.” Jared glances at the gum and mints on the shelf near the counter.
“Yeah, dodging forklifts isn’t my idea of a good time.” Jensen opens up his stapler and starts loading new staples into it. “We brought two carts up and it took us about an hour to put it all out. And then we had a big delivery from 19 East to deal with as well.”
“Sorry you had such a crappy day.” Jared brings two bottle packs of grape gum to the counter. As Jensen reaches for one, Jared clasps his hand and squeezes it. Jensen’s cheeks color and he smiles shyly. “At least the busy season is almost over.”
“That’s true,” replies Jensen as he scans Jared’s gum. “I’m ready for it to slow down. We keep running out of handle bags because people are buying so much.”
“Man, y’all can’t catch a break.” Jared waves off Jensen when he pulls out a small paper bag. “I don’t need a bag. I’ll just stick them in here.” He sets his lunch cooler on the counter.
Jensen sticks the paper bag back under the counter. “No problem. That’ll be $5.34.”
Jared pulls out his debit card and taps it on the credit card machine. “Man, this is so much better than the old one.”
“Tell me about it,” says Jensen. “I don’t miss that piece of crap at all.” He hands Jared the two bottle packs and the receipt. “Are you going straight home, or…?”
“I can stick around,” Jared answers with a grin. “Keep you company.”
Jensen smiles, clearly pleased. “I won’t pass that up.”
Another customer comes in then, but she goes straight to the baking chips and comes to the counter with an armload of peanut butter and chocolate chips and two cocoa tins. Jensen rings it up and bags it for her with a practiced efficiency borne of experience. She pays and is off in just a couple minutes.
“Are you still working this shift after Christmas?” asks Jared.
“Yeah, up until New Year’s,” replies Jensen. “Then Ruth comes back and I get to stop being late to my other job.” He smiles to take the sting out of the words.
“So, I have to ask,” says Jared. “How do you go from being a candy store clerk to a church secretary?”
“I used to work at the museum,” says Jensen. “The church is right across the street, and one of my coworkers sings in the choir there. She mentioned that they were looking for an administrative assistant, and she recommended me. I worked in the development office at Etown, so I had experience. And once I got the job, I started going to services. It’s a great church. I think you’d like it.”
Jared nods. “Well, if you like it, that’s good enough for me.” Jensen smiles. “How’d you end up here, then?”
“I wanted to start paying more on my student loans,” says Jensen. “So I applied to Chocolate World, but they wanted too many shifts. They recommended I apply to the employee store because it’s more flexible. So I did, and here I am. Originally I worked Tuesdays and Thursdays both, but I stopped Tuesdays because our boss changed the start time to 11:00 AM and that conflicted with my church hours. So I cover this shift when I can instead.”
“You don’t mind getting up early?”
Jensen chuckles. “Getting up at 4:30 isn’t my idea of a good time, especially in the winter, but I’ve learned to go to bed early.—both before and after.”
“Well, I’m glad you do, because I wouldn’t have met you otherwise,” says Jared.
Jensen grins. “Yeah, you’re definitely the best perk of this job.”
Another customer comes in then, so Jared moves away from the counter. But she doesn’t seem to know what she wants, so he goes back to talking to Jensen. “So, you’re off next Friday, right?”
Jensen nods. “Yeah, y’all are too, right?”
“Well, I work my normal shift Thursday night, but then I’m off Friday night,” replies Jared. “So do you want to do something Friday night?”
Jensen smiles. “What do you have in mind?”
“How about dinner?”
“That sounds great. You have a place in mind?”
“Well, what do you like?”
“Just about anything,” answers Jensen. “Pretty much anywhere outside of Hershey is fine.”
Jared chuckles. “Yeah, good call. How about Gilligan’s, the one on Jonestown Road? I could make a reservation.”
“That sounds fantastic,” says Jensen. “I haven’t been there in ages.”
“Well, then, it’s a date.”
The woman comes up to the counter with a bunch of Twizzlers, so Jensen rings her out and gets her on her way quickly.
“I haven’t been on a date in years,” Jensen says quietly.
“I won’t hold that against you, I promise.” Jared smiles encouragingly.
Jensen glances at the clock. “Crap, my boss will be here any minute. I didn’t realize it was so late.”
“No problem. I’ll get out of your hair.” Jared hoists his lunch cooler onto his shoulder.
“You probably want to get home, anyway.”
Jared shrugs. “I’m not that tired. But you’ve got to go, so I’ll text you when I get up tonight.”
“Sounds good to me.” Jensen smiles, that thousand-watt smile that makes Jared’s knees go weak.
“Have a good day at the office,” says Jared with a big smile of his own.
“I’ll try.” Jensen opens the register and sticks an envelope in the bottom of the cash drawer. “Thanks for sticking around. You made the time go faster.”
“My pleasure.”
Jensen reaches across the counter and grasps Jared’s wrist. He pulls Jared in and leans over the counter to give him a soft, sweet kiss. Jensen tastes like piña colada Ice Breakers, which are Jared’s favorite. Jensen must have a pack stashed behind the counter. “Good night, sweet dreams.”
Jared grins so wide he feels the stretch in his cheeks. “They will be now.”

Mr. Smith #13: Psychology Class
It was a beatiful June day, close to the end of the accelerated semester for Mr. Smith’s psychology class. Mr. Smith and his friends waddled across campus on their way to class, because Philip claimed it “looked cooler to walk like ducks.” Mr. Smith wasn’t sure ducks even waddled- he was pretty sure they hopped and ate carrots. But he still followed Philip’s lead.
Today Mr. Smith and his friends had to present their group project for psychology. They had to write an essay on mental health in contemporary society, and make a powerpoint explaining the main points.
Mr. Smith waited outside his class with his friends, early probably for the first time in his life. Three students approached the class. Mr. Smith gasped. “Look!” He shouted to Philip. “It’s the GAY GENIUSES! And that other person! Help! Don’t let them see me!” He cowered behind Philip.
Philip did a double take. “Leo and Ritchie? Oh shit! You hide me!” Philip ran behind Mr. Smith. They spent several moments running behind each other, until finally Alex, Leo and Ritchie reached the classroom.
“What are you idiots doing?!” Asked Ritchie.
Mr. Smith pulled his hat over his eyes. “Help! He’s smarter than me!”
Leo rolled his eyes. “You’re a total moron. Please get out of the way, you’re blocking the door.”
Mr. Smith planted his feet firmly in the ground. “No! I refuse to be condescended to by someone smarter than me!”
The professor approached the door. “Mr. Smith, you’re blocking the entrance,”
“I’m not Mr. Smith, I’m Christopher Columbus.” Mr. Smith said, his hat covering his face.
“Christopher Columbus is dead,” Said Leo.
“I’m not dead, I’m immoral,” Said Mr. Smith.
“I think you mean immortal,” Said Leo.
“I don’t know what that is,” Mr. Smith scratched his head in bewilderment, lowering his hat.
“If you’re Christopher Columbus, why do you look exactly like Mr. Smith?” Asked Alex.
“I got rhinocerous- plasty,” Said Mr. Smith. “To look exactly like Mr. Smith, my best friend.”
“I think you mean rhinoplasty, and that is just a nose job.” Leo said.
“What is a nose?” Asked Mr. Smith.
“Please move out of the way, Mr. Smith,” Said the professor.
“No, not until you admit I’m Christopher Columbus,” Said Mr. Smith, stamping his foot.
“Fine, Christopher Columbus. Please step aside.”
“Ok,” Said Mr. Smith, moving out of the way.
They all entered the classroom, and Mr. Smith and his seven friends all went to the front of the room to begin their presentation. Frankie began, “Our presentation is on the government conspiracy of mental illness and mental health.”
Leo raised his hand.
“Yes, devil spawn?” Mr. Smith asked.
“Mental health is NOT a conspiracy! Mental illness is a legitimate issue in modern day society.” Leo said.
“What does modern mean?” Asked Mr. Smith.
“Mr. Smith, please continue your presentation.”
“Mental illness was invented by the government to press the poor. That way the government can increase social inequality and conquer Jupiter,” Bob explained.
“Don’t you mean ‘oppress’?” Asked Ritchie. Mr. Smith shushed him.
“Jupiter is a gaseous planet. How could it be conquered? It can’t support life,” Alex said.
“They don’t have gasoline on Jupiter, they only use solar powered cars,” Said Philip.
“Jupiter is ruled by my kind, the kitty cat Jupitan race. The government wants to take it over and liberate the cats from their kitty overlords.” Kitty explained.
“Rules are annoy-ing,” Said Susan. “I had to follow rules in high school and when I didn’t, I would get suspended. I messed up the plumbing at my high school on purpose and flooded it, and I got expelled. It was annoy-ing.”
Amy gasped. “So annoy-ing! That happened to me too!”
“You’re seriously unintelligent,” Said Leo.
“Shut up, devil spawn! We did a lot of hard work for this presentation! We read TWO of my father’s wikipedia articles!” Mr. Smith stamped his foot.
“Please continue your presentation,” The professor said.
Simon then suddenly burst into tears. “What’s wrong?” Asked the professor.
“That girl in the front keeps laughing at our presentation. I have to go cry in the bathroom now!” Simon ran out of the room.
“Anyway, mental illnesses must not be real, because a lot of them are big words. The government just wants to confuse us,” Said Mr. Smith. “Now we will explain why some of these so called illnesses are not real.”
Philip clicked a button on his remote and said, “Depression is really hard to spell. I can never remember if it’s one or two s’s. If it’s that confusing, it doesn’t exist.”
Philip clicked another button. “Another one is antisocial personality disorder. This means someone who is shy. I found a WebMD article that had too many words to read them all, so it must not exist.”
Bob added, “The government wants to distract us from its mission to conquer Jupiter. If we all unite to overthrow the government, the kitty cats will be able to live in peace. That is the end of our presentation, because even the wikipedia articles had too many words to read them all- two paragraphs each.”
The professor addressed the group. “You have put no effort into your work. You scored a zero.”
Mr. Smith grabbed the remote from Philip’s hand and threw it across the room. Then he knocked over the projector, and ran over to a student near the window. He picked up the student and yelled, “Out the window you go!” but couldn’t hold his weight and they both collapsed to the floor. “Help!” Mr. Smith yelled. The student climbed off and Mr. Smith tried to get to his feet, but forgot how to get up. He crawled around on the ground for several minutes, then grabbed a desk to hoist himself up, but each time it slipped from his grasp and he fell. “Help! I look so stupid!” He yelled.
Finally, someone helped Mr. Smith to his feet. “I look so stupid! This is YOUR fault!” He pointed at the professor. “And it’s BOTH OF YOUR FAULTS!” He pointed at Leo and Ritchie. “I quit!” Then he ran from the room, but forgot how to open the door and crashed into it several times before Philip opened it. “Goodbye, you stuck up pretentious assholes!” He yelled, and then ran away and changed his major to math.
Fin.

Totally over my weird middle aged manager (?) he’s not even a manager at my store. But he stops in a lot. And he always feels the need to talk to me
Yesterday he told me that I’m his favorite person at this store. Today he just talked to me when he stopped by for a few minutes and looked at my phone while I was texting my friend. Like he moved so he could read what was on my screen.
Sir. Please leave me alone.
