in regard to the icemav convo about american made cars: I think it would be funny if after mav gets his regular license, ice buys him a truck that they can use for transporting stuff to the hangar and when he gifts it to mav all the man can do is laugh bc stamped across the ass is MAVERICK. It’s a 2023 ford maverick (in area 51 bc I’m partial to that color)

and mav likes it, but he doesn’t love driving it bc it’s so big (and he just likes being a passenger princess too much), so ice drives it mostly which inspires a whole lot of jokes about ice liking having maverick’s name stamped on his ass. bradley gags from the other room every time.

however i would like to raise the issue that recent american pickup trucks have become non-useful, overexpensive, and suburban-coded in a way i think ice and mav would reject. the ford maverick was built with the intention of dropping kindergarteners off at school, not of actually doing hard labor. see below infographic for what I mean.

Okay, so I can't tell if you're saying she cuts him deep enough to kill or just misjudges her strength versus his size and differences and just accidentally cuts deep enough that he goes into shock. Imma go with that one tho bc, tbh I literally also got an ask today about what would've happened if Neytiri had killed Spider.

So I'm picturing Neytiri cuts too deep and doesn't notice right away until Tuk screams and Spider starts to sag back into her. Kiri is flipping shit, struggling, and Quaritch is stunned enough that Jake just jumps at him. Knocks the knife away from Kiri, who is instantly running for Spider, Tuk right there with her. Neytiri on reflex caught him and lowers him down and by the time she even registers Jake getting the knife from Quaritch and managing to stab him, Kiri and Tuk are there with their hands on Spider's chest wound. It's not fatal if they stop the bleeding, it's just a lot of blood and he's clearly in shock.

I think Spider would have been extremely careful around Neytiri from like, birth. I'm 1000% sure he called Jake and Norm dad accidentally a few times, like a kid calling their teacher mom. I'm also equally sure he has been fantasizing about Neytiri treating him as she does her kids since as long as he can remember. I don't think he EVER slipped and called her mom though. If he did in that moment though, it would've been in a weird blood loss haze; like he thought he was back in one of his dreams.
