Eternal Love of Dream: Episodes 12 & 13

Into the chaos, we go...

(Apologies for the delay, I was distracted by another drama...)

*Just look at that poster. I can’t wait for these moments.*

A couple of pointers that you may or may not know:

1. You DO NOT need to have seen Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (Eternal Love) to watch this. 2. If you have seen Eternal Love, ignore what happens between these two. (They weren’t able to gain copyright access to this novel for Eternal Love, so their storyline was made up and put in as a filler) 3. This is based on a novel, you don’t need to read the novel but it is a great read if you’re interested. 4. I may refer to this as The Pillow Book or TPB. 5. Lastly, there will be some comparisons and I will relate to the novel at times.

Also spoilers, maybe? (If you haven’t seen these episodes yet)

I think we can all agree by now, we’re all watching these episodes at least three times each, if not, what are you doing with yourself?

Episode twelve

You got that right but you’re still gonna act like a fool! Could we move back to the nine heavens? I miss Donghua.

It’s like you’ve just woken up and your parents are here to scold you! haha. Cheng Yu being the mother and Si Ming was just dragged along. He’s just trying to be a supportive father.

Cheng Yu is the queen in my book. (sorry fengjiu!) She’s sooo right. Fengjiu suffers emotionally the most out of all of this.

Saying what we are all thinking at this point. Well, I am, at least...

Yes. We would all like to know. If Ji Heng wasn’t in the mortal realm, this arc would be 5 eps at the most, not even 5.

The seed in Fengjiu’s head is growing. (the misunderstanding that Donghua likes Ji Heng)

If people could be spirit animals, Cheng Yu is mine.

I like how she only went to collect the drawing for Fengjiu but ended up having to go on a date. Liansong’s deception skills 10/10.

Let us say yes and be done with it. We’ve got to protect Fengjiu and me from this emotional pain. I’m already preparing myself for a certain someone’s storyline and that’s painful enough.

HA! Xuanren is the exact opposite of Donghua. Hmm, maybe not though. Ignore me.

(18+ for the next bit. It’s not explicit but it references things in the bedroom department. I’d say it’s pretty tame but still, tread lightly.)

Ah, here we go. The moment we all wait for in every show, to discover who is top and who is bottom in the realtionship.

And we’re preparing. Just a thought, although Fengjiu is EXTREMELY innocent, I could totally see her being a switch once she got used to it. But who am I kidding? Donghua wouldn’t even give her the chance. (I should shut up.)

And we’ve established the top & bottom debate. Donghua, without even needing to discuss is the dominant one. (I’ve gotta put a warning on this part now... ahh. The warning is over now.)

I know this is Song Xuanren, but don’t you just want to slap him? Fengjiu has been, currently and will be in love with the man standing in front of her for forever. No matter what form he appears in.

This is going to be painful for all parties involved. A. Fengjiu is in love with him and has now been asked to destroy his heart. B. She’s adding to her own misery. C. Breaks Xuanren’s heart. D. Donghua won’t even know. (shhh. this is from a future ep. shhh. I should pretend I don’t know this yet. It’s all you to keep this secret now.) E. The third-party involved in this will also end up with their heart crushed. F. I’ll be in pain from watching A-E occurring.

Episode thirteen

Damn it! I was just waiting for a double identity scene. She pretends to be both characters... aww. *You missed out on peak comedy here @ the writers*

*sigh* I should be happier.

Ye Qingti... you are my only hope. Don’t let me down man.

I think everyone saw this coming, it plays well into still keeping the plot of the novel as well. The novel didn’t say much about about the mortal realm, except (Spoilers: Ye Qingti and Fengjiu were married and I vaguely remember Donghua & Fengjiu didn’t meet whilst in the mortal realm either.) Although I like the decision to include the mortal realm because it is vital to Fengjiu’s plot and character development, I personally would have liked to have seen more relationship development between Fengjiu & Qingti (speaking of future episodes) instead of it focusing on Donghua. But, I understand the writers' decision because the show is based on Fengjiu & Donghua. I mean we’ll probably get to see more emotions on Donghua’s part when he realises Fengjiu has been accompanying him for the past too many years to count, we’re probably up to 100,000 right?

Ah.. this look we’ll have to get used to.

I’m just putting it out there... but I think he had already when she was a man... ngl. I can imagine Donghua being bisexual... I said what I said.

Side note: Their subtle references to Donghua, the purple ribbon and the thing that is hanging from his belt?? (I’m not sure... someone has said before what they are.)
