(I'm not the Red/Vaati anon but I am kinda responding to them.)

I feel like Shadow would be furious (after all, Vaati might have been Ganon's underling too but he was certainly above Shadow) and Vio would be like. "I can't believe I have to choose between my brother and my boyfriend AGAIN."

OH DAMN I love this layer!!! in my initial response I was going the straightforward 'Shadow is 'dead' post-FSA but Vaati isn't sealed away or escapes or smth' route. however if Shadow is around?? OHH MAN IT IS ALL GOING DOWN XD

Vio would be sympathetic to what Red is dealing with--after all, his boyfriend is just as hated by the people of Hyrule after what happened, and Green and Blue were likely at least skeptical of Shadow after he came back (however it is that happened in this scenario XD). but Shadow would Not be chill with Vaati and I can see that causing issues because Vio would be lending support to Red despite that. I don't think Vio is worried about being shunned by his friends generally speaking--his actions in the manga prove he doesn't care about betraying people or holding his ground on divisive issues lmfao. but choosing to be a good friend to Red would hurt Shadow, which I think would hurt Vio, and that would suckkkk omg

Shadow and Green bonding over mutual hatred of Vaati tho gjfdjghdfkjgdfklgjfd and Vio is just 'well at least they're finally getting along but please not like this' XD I think Blue would come around even faster in this scenario though; Shadow and Green combined against Red would piss him off far more than Vaati's presence ever could XD

I do think that Shadow wouldn't be harsh to Red though... maybe some mean things would be said at first, but he'd probably just.. ignore Red ;-; and focus his ire on Vaati instead. it's not Red's fault who he loves after all, and Shadow knows what Vio goes through to be with him. but that doesn't change what Vaati did to him, so it is a betrayal of his friendship for Red to start dating Vaati x-x

Green would be pretty unapologetically awful to both of them though I think x-x I've read some fics with amazing Green and Red conflict and I gotta agree with their characterization of Green in serious situations; he only cares about what he thinks is right, and he can be awful to people if he feels justified in doing so oof. adding Shadow to the mix would cause SO MUCH more mayhem omfg kgjfdkgjlkdklf what a great idea Anon!
