Hello!! 🤗💕 Ooooooooh my gawd, okay. OKAY. In order from my favourite to least favourite, it would be:

Michael Corleone. But is anyone surprised? 🤭❤️‍🔥 Believe me, his looks aren't the major reason why either (but the sexiness helps smh). 😅 The most cunning, crude, intelligent and interesting character with a hell of a development... He really does have my heart.

2. Kay Adams Corleone. The one and only of course!! 💕 I especially say this towards her character in the book rather than the film. She's much more fleshed out, interesting, supportive and by Michael's side. She makes for such a unique character!!

3. Santino Corleone. That's right, him. 😅❤️ Sonny honestly keeps things very interesting thanks to his infamous temper. He was a hell of an enforcer; Luca Brasi who?? Tbh I was and still am extremely distraught by his death scene. 💔💔

4. Vito Corleone. Don Corleone himself!! What's honestly not to love? His kindness, how wise he is, how he's taken care of his family. This man came from nothing but gained everything. ❤️❤️❤️

5. Fredo Corleone. I honestly think Fredo's an absolute sweetheart and I love his sense of humour, even though wasn't a whole lot shown. He has a good nature and I think he was really misunderstood. 🥺💕

6. Tom Hagen. Love, love, love my boy Tom. 😂❤️ He's the moral compass of the family!! Or.. at least he was until I found out he had a mistress. Still, there's just something from Tom and his wholesomeness and advice that makes you never want to lose faith in him.

7. Connie Corleone. Truly a misunderstood and underrated character. 🥺❤️ I have nothing but love for Connie and I wish we had seen even more of her. She deserved better and I honestly loved her disaster MILF era lmfao. 💀

8. Sandra Corleone + Mama Corleone + Deanna Dunn. I'm grouping both of these ladies together because they're sadly very minimal side characters but from everything I've seen of them, they're still so dear in my heart which is also why I include them in my fics!! 😌❤️

9. Peter Clemenza. Clemenza is actually wholesome and not a traitor unlike Tessio who isn't even worth a damn mention here. 💀 Supported the Corleone's till the very end and didn't undermine Michael ever either.

10. Carlo Rizzi. Eugh... Bleugh.. We've gotten to the least favourite characters section now without a doubt. I hate Carlo. I don't like him at all whatsoever. He's an abusive, disgusting piece of shit and I really wish Sonny would have killed him or that we'd at least get more scenes of Sonny beating the shit out of him. 😮‍💨

11. Hyman Roth. While he did keep things interesting and was cunning on his own in the second film, I don't like him. 💀 He's not likeable. Tf did Michael ever do to him?? 😅

12. Apollonia Vitelli. Yep, she's the last on my list. 😂😂😂 She's by far my very least favourite character. She's hardly a character. Very shallowly fleshed out, boring, uninteractive, and taking advantage of what Michael has to offer. She never loved that man, she loved his car for sure and the freedoms he gave her. Also, she's super fucking annoying and whiny. 💀

band name: how did they and the others come up with the band name? has the name changed since it was founded? 

so tara’s band is called twiceshy – derived from the old saying ‘once bitten, twice shy’. it was originally an edgy joke between her and seven when they were freshmans, reference a traumatic experience tara had as a child wherein she was uh. mauled by a pitbull lol 💀 i like to think the name was actually the final puzzle piece in terms of her healing emotionally from that experience – she'd been through a lot of therapy over the years as a result obviously, and ended up coming out the other side with an ironic fondness for pitbulls and all misunderstood breeds in general. they even made their band icon a pitbull !  

since then she leans HEAVY into dog motifs in her writing because she vibes w the themes. her own defensiveness, her intense attachment to loved ones, her stubbornness, the tendency people have to not respect her as an aggressive animal when pushed . . . she relates ! and also being a woman in a male dominated metal scene.... shes been called a bitch a lot. so why not go all out with it lol 

beginnings: when and how did they know they wanted to be a professional musician? was there a deciding factor? 

seven was the deciding factor :( before she met him tara was aimless. she was a shy angry kid with no friends and no hobbies outside of writing embarrassing poetry in her textbooks during class and daydreaming. tara was the one who got sev into rock, but SEVEN was the one who introduced her to music and singing in general as an outlet. i don't think she even realized how talented a singer she was until he told her, bc she was so shy prior to meeting him. since then she's always pushed herself to be exceptional in her vocals and her writing bc she does feel like this is the closest thing she has to purpose. but then, even if she hated it (and she does honestly hate the idea of fame) she wouldve done it all anyway just to be close to seven forever.

bandmates: how do they feel about the members of the band? would they still be interested in stardom if they weren’t with that group?

hmmmm..... it's complicated atm? i think things are okay right now with the band, but tense ! they've been tense since The Vote, which tara vehemently objected to and still resents. i really sincerely hope there's a chance for mc to confront their bandmates over the decision, bc . . . yeah. she loves them all, but a part of her blames them for destroying her relationship and future with seven. since his exit she's coped by immersing herself the work and hyperfocusing solely on mastering the craft and pushing herself to her limits, bc she struggles to relate to them socially at the time being. but also.... unless she left the band to be with seven, there's no way she would leave them for greener pastures. she's more about "sharing art" than fame, and her anxiety couldn't handle being untethered from everyone she loves like that.

lyrics: what are some songs you associate with your character? any specific lyrics that really scream your character?

saint bernard by lincoln for that sick dog motif ofc. tara's got so many similar lyrics like that and the majority are about seven. lol.

alternatively happy song by bring me the horizon reminds me of her relationship with music/performing in general. she has such intense social anxiety offstage, but the nature of her genre (heavy metal lol) helps her circumnavigate that fear and absolutely RAGE on stage. it's a great outlet and the one part of being a public facing figure that she enjoys.

There are several,,, but the ones that peeve me the most are Maya and Franziska

Maya’s often flattened into memester burger queen comedic relief who dispenses Romantic advice to make nrmt happen. It’s such a waste when she’s got So much happening and is pretty damn smart

Similarly, Franziska is sidelined even More and is reduced to Angry Meanie and also a prop to encourage nrmt. I find that the average franziska portrayal is really one-note and is just like “Haha she says fool and whips people” which sucks bc again she has So much unexplored complexity in the games And in fandom that people wouldn’t hesitate to explore if she were a male character instead

And also these tend to combine into really boring franmaya just to make sunshine/grump happen. Or again, they’re off to the side or used only as a vehicle for nrmt development.

Or like… I’ve seen ppl think Maya was head over heels for Franziska from Day One like. No??? Wtf? I think Maya had More Important Things on her mind than like. “Ooh that person prosecuting me is kinda hot👀”

I have such conflicting thoughts about Vittoria, because so far, her character is kind of a mess. Like, one moment she's completely diabolical (no, I still have not forgiven her for poisoning Wrath) or even straight up evil (ripping out Antonio's heart for nothing???), but then the next thing we know, she only wants the best for Emilia and does care about some people depsite pretending like she doesn't.

With that said though, I definitely prefer her diabolical side. I think she fits that role much better than being another misunderstood sad character. I think if we let her be genuinely unhinged, I would actually start loving her evil tendencies.

However, I do think it would be fun to see her Throne of the Fallen, I live for the petty drama and pissing-each-other-off contest she and Envy have going. Pure comedy, honestly. 💀

And about the triangle, god yes, I really don't want it to be a triangle in any book. But also, the Pride-Lucia-Vittoria triangle seems inevitable now smh. I'm so glad the ENTP personality type for Gojo was brought up. It's so misleading for people to say Gojo has a God complex/narcissism/high functioning antisocial personality disorder/psychopath/no feelings, etc.

It's like trying to pick a healthy herb from a poisonous one. There are herbs that look almost EXACTLY the same, but one of them will kill you and the other is safe to eat. You have to notice certain key differences between those herbs to make sure you don't die.

That's why 🤔 anon said Gojo is just an ENTP. Those "symptoms" from those disorders are common personality traits for ENTPs. It doesn't make them bad people. In fact, if you notice, even tho people assume Gojo is always messing around, he's always working in the background to make sure everyone is safe, especially Yuji (which has been discussed before so I won't repeat). Even Nanami knows that behind Gojo's act is someone who works tirelessly and is giving so much of himself to Society that he can't catch a break to even stroll through town without working. Notice how Gojo always boasts that he's the strongest (something OTHER PEOPLE have dubbed him. He personally always said "WE are the Strongest until... Ya know). Gojo never boasts or even tells anyone how he goes on business trips just to find someone to care for Yuji, or how he goes out of his way to fight the higher ups to save one life. Plus, if he was boasting to gain praise, why does he say that to Nanami and Utahime and his students? They always insult him. If he wanted praise, he'd go to strangers and make them tell him how handsome he is.

The truth is, he only brags to annoy people. Because why would he go to people who obviously dislike being with him to get self assurance? Because he doesn't need it. He just likes poking fun at his friends.

People want someone with a God Complex? Someone who thinks he's better than everyone else, and only cares for himself? Someone with a complex/disorder? A huge narcissist with an ego? Who only seeks power even if everyone around him gets hurt?

Hey ai!! I've been meaning to send an ask for so long but Sn updates at like 5am for me so most of the time I don't get to read it fast enough and then the ask box closes which is understandable knowing the amount of ask you get- I'd be overwhelmed too.

Okay so I actually wanted wanted does know that does sera love Gojo like genuinely love him? Cuz what I've gotten from reading Sn is that she's in love with the perfect him, the more put together Gojo who appeares perfect but honestly I hate that beacuse what kind of relationship it is where you're willing to talk about your struggles but ultimately not listen to see how your s/o is struggling that's toxic man 😭

One thing I absolutely LOVE SN is MC's character because she in my opinion is misunderstood!! Everyone is judging her based on her wealth or family status and no one is willing to listen to her beacuse everyone is following this narrative of her having everything which I absolutely love! Because people are so fast to judge based on what you have or don't. Even irl people are so fast to judge rich people but no one knows what someone is struggling with.

Secondly I actually used to love Sera! Like I liked how she and MC talked like proper adults. And I liked how she was a independent women providing for her family alone she reminded me of my mother who works super hard since my dad got sick with a chronic illness and couldn't work anymore but now I'm really started to getting pissed off by her beacuse I'm 100% sure she's manipulating Gojo. I normally like to write published fanfic from classics because I like new takes in stories or different POVs... But god I detest how Wide Sargasso Sea has completely fucked with people's perspective of Jane Eyre and make it all about how Betha was the misunderstood Woke Queen and that Bronte was apparently racist. I remember thinking the same when the discourse was harder a couple of years ago and then I went around writing my own Byronic heroes and thought: Nah, Rochester was fine.

I tried reading that book but I got bored of it after a couple of chapters, it felt so slow and never ending. Ironically, the original Jane Eyre... Wrote nearly 200 years ago, felt more modern than the prose of that book.

It was assigned reading for my Modernist Fiction course, which was frankly laughable since the whole novel is completely unintelligible without reading or at least knowing what happens in Jane Eyre, which was not assigned (fortunately I had read Jane Eyre by then, but I still cringe in pity for the other students). It was a forgettable experience of essentially bad writing—two-dimensional characters, no development, piss-poor voice (Rochester’s POV was indistinguishable from Antoinette/Bertha’s), a poetic style without the substance, no proper realization of its themes (colonialism, women’s autonomy, etc.) the works. Even the connection with Jane Eyre was weak; I’ve read fanfics more true to the canon and lore of the original works than WSS. And yes, Charlotte Brontë’s prose was much better and more accessible than Rhys. (I’ve also heard that Brontë-is-racist thing—something about Bertha’s description in the attic? I really haven’t read the book in a long while, so I can’t say if the criticism is valid).

But I won’t lie, I personally have many, many problems with Jane Eyre—the way the narrative can’t decide whether it wanted to be a Bildungsroman or a Beauty-and-the-Beast modern retelling and ended up being half and half, the heavily Christian morality that just drags Jane’s character down, Jane overall awful seesawing between meek little 19th century proper young lady and “I am no bird; no net ensnares me” proto feminism, Rochester beginning as one of the few believable characters in this thing and yet doing weird OOC shit like disguising himself as a gypsy (?) to find out whether Jane likes him, and of course the whole Bertha debacle. But Rochester’s treatment of Bertha ain’t it—actually, he was more than generous with her, even risking his own life to try and save her (!!!) and the fact that he raised Adèle even though he was not entirely sure he was hers is commendation enough. Yes, it is a little pat, Brontë making sure that the love interest’s dick behavior is justified, but I have no problem with the writing on that regard. Guy is fundamentally fine, he just has awful social graces.

My problem actually lies in Jane leaving Rochester. I haven’t even heard anyone critique that plot point, but to me it’s always been such an awful, conventional decision; it drags the rest of the book down into milquetoast Gothic melodrama. Especially since Jane just acted so rashly, without even planning her departure, and almost lost her life because of it. I honestly don’t see why she couldn’t have just accepted being Rochester’s mistress. She would have been in the same position as if she were really married and she could have helped Rochester with Bertha. If she were so worried about her reputation or Rochester growing tired and casting her off, then marriage would have been far worse, because that was practically forever. It’s pure 19th century chopped logic, and it ruins the realistic Dickens-esque social realism of the first half and even in the Rochester section. And that awful Jane-hears-Rochester’s-voice-conveniently-as-St.-John-proposes magic realism never fails to make me laugh/stew in bitter frustration. Homegirl had no problem leaving Rochester on a dime and only now she hears his voice??? Twilight did it better, even freakin’ Shadow and Bone set up the tether thing better. Also, way to undo Jane’s supposedly feminist/strong principled decision of leaving Rochester and being true to her ideals/honor/independence blah blah blah. If you’re just going to have her end up with the guy, then what was the point of the whole Diana and St. John plotline? (Oh, yeah, that’s right, the secret windfall by the dead uncle so now Jane is rich and also Diana et al. are her cousins!!! Smh).

So yeah. Jane Eyre. It’s readable, and it does have its strong points—the Beauty and the Beast elements of the love story are done well and the first half with a feral young Jane is great in its gritty social realism, but I can’t really take it seriously. Wide Sargasso Sea is stale try-hard lit fic for the critical theory crowd, though, and should not have been canonized to begin with.

Okay so when you mentioned how the unknown god said “the arrogation of mankind ends now” it made me wonder if we (Aether & Lumine) had a hand in that calamity that destroyed Kaenri’ah? Whether accidentally or on purpose (hopefully w good intentions tho) we triggered the calamity and the unknown god stepped in like “it’s time to STOP” and even though a lot of other factors went into it she kinda scapegoated the outlanders? Maybe our presence was disrupting the balance of the world lol

This also just reminded me that in the traveler’s voice overs they mentioned that the day/night cycle in Teyvat is much shorter than in their world (and ofc we can see that clearly in game) and idk if that was just a hand-wavey way to incorporate this game mechanic into the lore or if it’s actually significant but maybe it means something????? Like idk the calamity fucked up time in Teyvat or something????

Okay, not gonna lie, I really want Aether and Lumine to be horrible people lol. Not in a sense that we caused the calamity in order to wipe out humans with evil intentions, but Aether and Lumine are really sheltered in a sense. Since it’s only been the two of them and they don’t seem to stick around in the same world. Lumine doesn’t appear to have a lot of feelings and hangs around the abyss order while Aether seems to be gaining human emotion (since he basically had a mind reset) and that could be why Dainsleif issued his whole “prove to me that you are fit to save her”. Since he’s super into humanity and hates the Gods. That kinda stuff. But this is me spitballing and wanting everything to be sad haha. 

Yo, I wanna see that. The unknown god spitting metaphors and flowery language just to say “yo wtf are you doing, it’s time to STOP.” I definitely believe in our presence was disrupting the balance since Lumine says something like “outlanders don’t belong here” or something like that. Plus all the shit that happened with Aether throughout the story. Saving Dvalin and sealing Osial. 

YES. YES. I’M TOTALLY ON BOARD WITH THAT THEORY THAT THE UNKNOWN GOD WAS THE KAENRI’AH GOD. I love those tragic “I used to be the good guy but due to unfortunate circumstances it’s time to stab a bitch” (yo what a status. This is my status now). But I completely believe that Khemia was what caused the calamity. Or even, okay back to me spit balling even tho this isn’t really a theory (and I don’t think this is how genshin is going to go but my brainworms are taking over), since Khaenri’ah was an archoneless land, that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t gods the same way Liyue has adepti’s right? We don’t know what region Khaenri’ah is yet (at least I think) since Liyue is China and Mondstadt is Germany so I can’t say anything about folklore and what not. But each region so far has some sort of celestial being that isn’t an archon but still protects that specific piece of Teyvat. So what if the unknown god was technically a god, might have been the archon, but perhaps Lumine and Aether dislike the gods and tried to teach the people of  Khaenri’ah how to like, rise above or whatever, but that whole situation backfired and started the calamity. And the unknown god was just this whole, misunderstood situation the same way with the salt goddess in Liyue. Havria? I think that’s her name. That could explain why she went after the two siblings and said the whole, arrogation of mankind. 

Scaramouche you fucking bitch, explain to me in english what you mean!! Why are you leaving me off on a cliffhanger;; Stupid gremlin smh, I say this but as soon as I see his banner I’m gonna whale for him even though I hate using castors. I’m gonna finally use Mona and Lisa when I get him haha. That is very true tho, I believe Khaenri’ah is the false sky or it has something to do with the sky. YEETED THEM INTO SPACE LOLLL. This kinda reminds me of the gbf lore and the crimson horizon. Basically the gbf main story takes place above the clouds and the crimson horizon is what separates gbf with the “main world”. The main world went to shit so that’s why everyone now lives in the sky. It would make sense since the calamity turned everyone into monsters.  

Honestly, I can see it being some sort of hint because genshin is lowkey really bad at subtly hinting at things (COUGH ZHONGLI AND ALBEDO COUGH). Or it could just be a nod to irl people and the day night cycle but who knows. I feel like Venti or Zhongli would say something about it since the calamity started, Mondstadt went to go and help and honestly, the timeline of Khaenri’ah is so fucked. Either way, Scaramouche was on musk reef which does lead to the spiral abyss and time doesn’t act naturally there either so there might be some connections but who knows haha.

I haven’t seen other isekai villainess series yet, I didn’t even realize it was popular until after getting into my next life, so if you have recommendations, I’d love to try out more!

HameFura was my first Isekai villainess ever! Coincidentally, I'm also a fan of reverse harem so the series really excites me! I don't think there are other animes for isekai villainess (in fact, I think HameFura is the first of its genre to have an anime adaptation. I wish they'd adapt more in the future though) but as you'd probably guess, there are a lot of Light Novels featuring that genre! There are also many manga adaptations of them! Some of the popular and the ones that I'm currently reading are these, though i must tell you that some of these recs are just isekai in general/reborn/reincarnated/transferred to isekai. So these are a variation of isekai genre rather than just a "reincarnated as isekai/otome game villainess" (ho boi,,,, this is a long ass one forgive me)

The Banished Villainess! Living The Leisurely Life Of A Nun Making Revolutionary Church Food (ONE OF MY FAV! This is just so cute! (Heads up, shit may or may not go down 👀) but this is still the cutest shit ever, male lead is a scary looking guy that's actually really soft and dense and he loves the villainess (MC) but again, MC is too dumb to realize that 😔 BUT IT'S CUTE SO IT'S ALRIGHT! 06 — Are there any scenes you wish you could go back and re-write?

Although I gripe about past scenes and generations all the time, I would never go back and rewrite them. You guys know doing that with Fallen Angels might just make me cry out of pure cringe, I would rather just chuck the whole ass story in the bin than have to comb through it. I would happily go back to earlier chapters of En Pointe, but I have an extremely short attention span, so rewriting would probably be quite a boring exercise. Part of what I love about writing is the exciting and unpredictable flow of dialogue and character life as I first write a chapter, the characters speaking ‘out loud’ for the first time, which dulls when I begin to edit. I do like ‘preserving’ the old terrible work so I can skim back and be happy about the progress, which is nice when I’m not happy with my current writing. One thing I wish I could redo though, is Mako’s appearances before he got The Makeover. Him and old Kato will forever haunt us, smh.    

07 — Do you have any characters you believe might be misunderstood by your readers?    

I don’t think so. First person narration for Eva pretty much eliminates any misunderstanding, and while Mako is perceived differently from what he’s truly like, that’s 100% on purpose. I’m super excited because the inner layers of this thousand layer onion boi start to reveal next chapter. The rest of the characters are far too simple to be mistaken for anything else lol.  

09 — Are you writing with a deadline in mind to complete the story? 

The end of my Masters in 2023, but I really hope I can finish at least a year earlier. I’m a bit worried that if I spend three more years on it, I’ll get sick to death of the characters, and I absolutely don’t want that to happen. The following three acts are all shorter than the first, so they better not take a year each.   

10 — If you could choose to be one of your characters for a day, which one would it be?

Eva! Writing her story, her experience of the ballet world, makes me really nostalgic. This next chapter especially brought back memories of my own competition days; Eva’s narration reminded me of the special elements of dance that I’d forgotten or didn’t appreciate at the time. So I would love to be her to experience that again, and also try the feeling of being so incredibly skilled at ballet as she is.

Ooh, great questions! Forgive me, I’m not the most eloquent person to ask nor am I likely to provide as accurate or as interesting answers as some others within the fandom can but I hope my answers are alright!

For me, I picture Anne doing the absolute most to live her life at Queen’s to the fullest and to experience as much as she can. Like in the novels, I imagine she would go for an accelerated course to finish her studies swiftly as well as to go for awards and scholarships. She has probably found her ways to write her stories whilst also trying to get articles published on topics that she feels are of great importance. I think she would have tried to bring light to Ka’kwet situation but I feel it wouldn’t have been given much as attention as she would hope or that it has even gotten her in trouble in some aspects when she pushed too hard. 

I feel like the girls would have a bit of time adjusting to the strictness of their boarding home which probably resulted in some comical moments. Definitely think she has grown close to those within the boarding house though and has probably learned to sign from Lily. 

I’d like to think she got was able to have a variety of experiences without facing too much trouble when doing so, but given who she is, I imagine she has butt heads with more than a few people and some likely of authority when she feels there is injustice. I think she would have dipped into the money that Matthew gave her when things got a bit slower and she truly had a moment ot feel homesick for Marilla and Matthew. 

As for her and Gilbert, I will stay forever curious about how they would have handled it. For me, I feel like the first half of s4 would have likely consisted with just letters back and forth to each other as they each dealt with their new environments and responsibilities. Perhaps there would be some delayed responses when it got hectic, but they would try to be as consistent as they could. Halfway through I think there would be a holiday or a break of some variety in which they would return to Avonlea and reunite OR one of them (probably Gilbert) would pay a surprise visit to the other. 

They do have a tendency to be the queen and king of miscommunication so I imagine there would be some tense moments where they misunderstood each other and it sparked one or both to be upset. Hopefully, it would not extend beyond the time they had to be in the actual vicinity of one another but Shirbert likes to be painful like that sometimes. 

I think we would have gotten some really sweet moments with them and I think they would have deepened their relationship over the course of the season, but I imagine there would be a lot of individual growth within the season for many of the characters and probably a sad arc within the season so I don’t know how much we would have got of their relationship but I do think we would have been freaking out over what we did get. I would like to think they wouldn’t add a jealousy plot to cause a rift between them as there was already that within s3, but you never know. 

The more I think about it the more I just want to scream because we DESERVED to see what would have happened instead of just speculating without any chance of knowing for sure smH

I’m here to vibe and make dumb posts about my anime boyfriend of the week so it’s just whatever to me.

But, the issue that made me write that post, is that these people who project onto Dabi (which is completely fine by me, I do it too and that’s sort of kind of but not completely but still kind of the point of a fictional character), force him to stay in that victim mentality that he used to have in his childhood. Furthermore, they present him to the rest of the fandom/outsiders as a victim.

Sure, he was a victim when he was a child, and most of the things he’s doing now he would not be doing had it not been because of his childhood trauma, but there’s a limit, you know. Once you’re an adult, it’s your responsibility to start taking the reins of your own life and stop letting others/the past/your trauma/feelings etc. take you down the path of misery. Dabi didn’t do that. Yes his childhood was very traumatizing and sad and none of it was his fault, but once he “committed suicide” and left the household and became an adult, there was no reason for him to continue drowning in his suffering.

And now, as this is a fictional story, it’s fine that he didn’t. I don’t take issue with that. He’s the antagonist and him still suffering in his childhood trauma is the point of his character arc. My issue is the fandom portrayal that the stans are giving him and the message they’re sending to the young impressionable kids (and the other adult children on here).

I hate victim mentality. I hate adults that keep acting like victims. I cannot for the life of me stand adult children. And I can’t stand people that advocate for this shit. Which is what half of the villain stans on here are doing. Yes, Touya was a victim and none of what happened was his fault and the blame lies with the adults, but the second Dabi decided to murder and to join a criminal organization and commit acts of state terror, that’s when he stopped being a victim. And you know what? Hori doesn’t write (adult) Dabi as a victim either! And I love it. That’s how I like to see it, because adult Dabi is a villain. But it’s the fandom that keeps pushing him into the victim spot and it just keeps on grinding my gears.

It’s not about morality and/or making excuses to like complex characters, it’s about woobifying antagonists/villains because they’re projecting. Dabi’s road to redemption and/or peace of mind doesn’t lie with burning down society, killing his father, getting revenge by killing people, or creating anarchy, etc. That’s not how peace of mind (which is what we all need to wish for children that are victims of abuse) is achieved. It’s achieved by letting go of all your hatred and moving forward in life, letting the past (and the pain) be the past. Not letting it influence the you from now. (I’d know because this is what I did with my own issues.)

But what do Dabi stans do? Continue to portray him to the fandom as morally right (with his murdering and terrorizing) because of what his dad did to him when he was a kid. Ok now imagine your brother is incinerated and the excuse is “but his dad beat him as a kid so technically it’s Endeavor’s fault for your brother being burned alive”. Like.............. Dabi is a villain. An antagonist. An adult. He does evil things like killing people in cold blood because he’s off his rockers not because he’s a victim. This sounds like I’m against Dabi or something but I’m not. I LOVE HIM. But Endeavor (yes a child beater), Best Jeanist (annoying man that hasn’t really done anything wrong besides the comment of Dabi keeping his family issues out of the public and being annoying and ugly) and uhhhhh.... (Hawks is a different conversation) while being extremely flawed, they’re still morally better than a mass murdering terrorist lol. (While the reasoning being very selfish, they’re still helping society and upholding order and safety of the people by being heroes.)

And Dabi being a mass murdering terrorist is not like, a reason to hate him. He’s sexy as all hell for that and the reason why I love him. What I need the fandom to do is to stop acting like an adult murderer is a victim. Can’t stand bitches with a victim mentality.

Anyways I rambled a bit and I kind of forgot what the point was but the issue isn’t really people searching for excuses to justify Dabi’s role as a villain so they don’t come off as immoral (because immorality and villainness in fictional characters (not real life people) is sexy and almost always more interesting than characters like Deku who are just.... good. And nothing else. 😐😐😐 and I’ll never complain about such a thing), but more about people that force him into the victim position and act like he’s a poor baby for all of his 23/24 years of living uwu. 💢 - Ship That Is Most Misunderstood

I would say ReedSue! Mostly because among fanon they like to characterise Reed (and Hank Pym) as abusive because of a few out of context panels. It's like, first of all those are from like 40 years ago, of course they're going to be questionable, and anyway, when he did hit Sue, she was under mind control and was attacking them. Sure, some conversation after would have been nice, but Sue wasn't in her right mind.

And honestly, Peter Parker in a more recent comic once hit a pregnant Mary Jane across the room, but nobody wants to call him out on it smh. Reed and Sue have a very tight, very close relationship, and I hate seeing it get characterised as toxic or abusive.

😑 - Ship That I'm Indifferent To

Probably Scott/Jean. I try to get into it but every time I get interested writers usually force Jean onto Logan or kill Jean off and with the Scott/Emma thing that went on and the way writers decide that Scott never loved her and really loves Jean? Idk I can't be bothered to get invested. Also his treatment of Madelyne Pryor kinda ruined most of my goodwill towards him lmao

💖 - Ship That Needs More Love

These boys!

I mean, these two have had multiple moments and have had one of the tightest, closest relationships in comics, platonic or otherwise. They've been best friends for years, have kissed on the mouth as shown there, have gone on double dates together, have watched movies together, always are shown to feel happier in each other's company, and are immsenly supportive despite their respective histories. They're very honest around each other, and are just a super underrated pairing, wherever you see them just as friends or something more.

I mean, they literally were together in an alternate universe, I don't know how much more explicit without being explicit you can be.
