So...what leads to Martin going full spiral avatar?

*clears throat* So, at the end of s1, Tim is with Sasha, and Martin in the file storage room whatever it is called. Jon comes in, and Martin pushes him out of the way of the worms. They get separated and Martin, since he doesn't know artifact storage as well as Sasha, decides to keep running. That is until he is met with a yellow door. As an aside, Martin was the one who met with Michael instead of Sasha. And maybe Michael thought his deceiving nature was Spiral Core instead of Web and took a liking to him.

He enters the door, escapes, and comes out differently. He's half-spiral in s2, and then at the end of s2, Tim is tired of being dizzy and having a member of the spiral in her archives. So, she confronts him, Martin is offended, and his powers have grown exponentially from the start of the season. So he sends Tim into his doorways and then disappears into a hallway of his own. Becoming fully spiraled through the way.

Some Fun Things Spiral!Martin has done in s2: Tea Time - a time that never hits, no matter when they look at the clock, it never seems to hit tea time

Random Puzzles - they never seem to have a solution, and every time someone tries to put a piece in a spot, it doesn't fit, despite fitting just the other day

His Fashion Sense keeps getting weirder and more bright as the season goes on.

Tim and Martin go on a date, Tim's trying to see if he's sus, and Martin's just having a fun time, and also a fun time messing with Tim's brain.

Everyone knows how good Max is for Charles, but it's definitely not talked about enough how good Charles is for Max. Max becomes lighter on his feet. Less on edge. Happier, funnier, easier. He's not as quick to snap at people, not as quick to get frustrated, not as quick to get annoyed.

He's just... in a better place.

He's loved, and happy, and likes channeling his energy into taking care of Charles. Because that's how Charles takes care of him. And Charles knows him and knows what he needs and knows what makes him feel good.

Max spends so much time caring for Charles, but Charles does the same thing for Max. Charles holds him when he's upset. He cooks for him when he's hungry. He sits with him when he plays his games. He feeds his cats for him when he's running late.

Charles is Max's baby, but Max is Charles' baby.
