ok headcanon time: that post about the dad absolutely distressed about losing his daughters hamster for a day except kidnap dads. maedhros is still 100% in intimidating scary emotionally distant mode, but grudgingly lets e&e keep a little bird they found.

maglor takes the twins out for a day trip and they come back to find maedhros worried sick looking everywhere for the bird apologizing profusely nearly in tears saying he is so sorry and he’ll make this right and in true feanorian fashion has come up with like twenty different harebrained ideas to make the birdie come back. he promises to put all duties on full stop hold until he brings their bird back to them. “no atya you’re a prince and he is a parakeet”

eventually they find the bird just chilling out in his nest as if he’s been there the whole damn time. maedhros gifts the bird with some very colorful quenyan epessës but hes also crying with relief and swears up and down this is the most stressful day of his life which earns a half-indignant/half-amused look from maglor. the next day maedhros tries to go back to being the stern gruff dad but the jig’s kind of up. it’s a valiant effort anyways. they catch him slipping the bird extra seeds when he thinks no one’s watching. and sometimes e&e make little tweet tweet noises just to watch his ears perk up :)

They’ve heard abt each other from Kun and ten and greeted each other when they passed by each other in the halls but they never really had a chance to grow close until nct 2020 happened

Mae wasn’t in the Make a Wish unit so there weren’t a lot of chances to get to know each other while promoting either but it doesn’t mean they’re not friends

these two arent as close as the others but not to the point where they actively avoid each other

Okay RenMae is one of the top if not the #1 among NCT

fans are like almost 100% sure they’re soulmates

Like there was no awkward small talk when they first met they just talked and ended up each other’s best friend

You would think they’d be childhood friends or at least friends before they became trainees with the way they interact even though they met at SM

she did confess to him before debut that she had a crush on him but he thought she was joking and now none of them talk about of that
