DELTARUNE/OMORI CROSSOVER AU: HEADSPACE.

The DARK WORLDS Are replaced with Headspaces. They’re still entered the Same way, through Dark Fountains.

It’s a post True-Ending AU where Sunny and Basil are forgiven by the group, AND, The house Sunny was going to move to turns out to have been taken back by the original seller, so he stays in Faraway.

Roles: Sunny take’s Kris’s role. In Headspaces, he becomes OMORI.

Aubrey takes Susie’s role. In Headspaces, she becomes Headspace Aubrey.

Basil takes Ralsei’s role. In Headspaces, he becomes Headspace Basil.

MARI takes the role of The SAVE POINTS. (Aubrey has a bit of a breakdown every time they save)

HERO takes BERDLY’s Role. At first, he believes that the Mari in Headspace COULD be the real one (as a result of some still not gotten over grief), but eventually at the end of Chapter 2, realizes that’s not the case. He becomes Headspace Hero in the chapter 2 Headspace.

KEL takes NOELLE’S ROLE. He becomes Headspace Kel in the Chapter 2 Headspace, and is the party member that joins you for the Chapter 2 Split Up. (the Snowgrave route becomes the KEL NUKE Route.)

Some Darkners stay the Same. Some change. Here’s the ones that change:

SPACEBOY Takes KING’S role.

SWEETHEART takes QUEEN’S role.

BERLY takes LANCER’s role.

Pluto takes C.Round’s Role.

Humphrey takes Nubert’s role.

Mutantheart takes Spamtons role. She becomes PERFECTHEART in the Neo battle.

Kite Kid and Kid’s Kite take Jevil’s role.

(Starwalker and Roulxs stay the exact same cuz that’s funny)

Oh, and Mewo takes The role of the Annoying dog.

Other OMORI characters appear to, just not all of them take a deltarune character’s role.

Some other little things change from Deltarune, too. For example:

There’s no “Heart shaped Ferris wheel” Scene, instead, we just get a little scene with OMORI and Basil chatting, then Aubrey comes out from Kel’s Dungeon room, tells OMORI and Basil that she freed Kel and that he’s just taking a rest for a bit.

We DO get an “Acid tunnel of love” scene with OMORI and Basil.

Sunny/Omori actually TALK. Not much, but more than normal.

There’s some HEAVILY implied Sunflower. Lots of moments.

Despite Aubrey and Kel taking Susie and Noelle’s roles, they aren’t given any ship moments. No “Suselle.” With these 2. No weird Hero “Berdly” moments either.

BASIL sleeps over at Sunny’s house at the end of every Chapter. Aubrey starts doing so too after Chapter 2’s headspace. Kel sleeps over on CHAPTER 5.

The Legend is the same, and the party gets a new part of it at the end of each chapter.

I’ve got a new print out today for charity, folks! I’ve partnered with House of Roulx and KultureCity for this one, releasing today, opening day for the baseball season.

Last summer I created the original painting "Fenway" in order to support the charity Kulturecity, the nation's leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities such as ptsd, autism, dementia, and strokes. Kulturecity has officially partnered with many large venues around the globe - including Fenway Park - to make those experiences safe and welcoming for those with sensory needs.

I grew up in Boston and was excited to make a painting of my hometown baseball stadium. After auctioning off the original for charity, I reached out to the folks at House of Roulx about doing a print release so that some more of the baseball fans I know might be able to get a version of this piece to hang in their home. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Kulture City, and their mission.

There was like a week of my life where I got super hard obsessed with Asgore/Mettaton spesifically because of one artist who drew the thottiest Mettaton with a Biggest little guy Asgore I'd ever seen and I'm still on that. Mettaton deserves to be a Sugar Baby to the King of Monsters

Chara/Asriel is extremely cute they are best friends they are siblings they are partners they kiss and snuggle and one day they'll rule the underground together and Chara is convinced they don't deserve Asriel

I think Asgore/Chara would be a very cute ship but there's probably no content for it. I just think on it sometimes.

Frisk/Chara Queerplatonic body sharers post game is very good to me. I've also seen an AU where Frisk gives up their soul for Asriel to come back and they share a body and I think the three of them should vibe like that.

Frisk/Monster Kid is always appreciated in this house we love Monster Kid content in this house

On that note I love you artists who make the briefly mentioned Suzy an Undertale version of DR's Susie and have her hang out with Frisk. They are buddies and I love them so much.

Deltarune Ships

Kris/Berdly is the only one that actually hard matters to me I love them I love them so much they are gaymers. Especially love it with Transfemme Berdly for no other reason than I love her my baby girl

Kris/Spamton is!!!! So good!!! I love Spamton a little freak an old man who's really weird about this teenager he just met he makes them so uncomfortable I think it's hysterical

Kris/Ralsei while we're on the train is incredibly cute and another instance of a Darkner being very Unnormal about Kris in a way that makes them uncomfortable. Ralsei infantalizes Kris while also putting them on such a high pedestal. Good uncomfy Yandere content

Another probably doesn't need to be said but I think Susie/Noelle is pretty alright. My opinion on it is very same as Alphyne it's fine it's canon gays and it's cute. No complaints from me

Lancer/Susie/Noelle though?? Incredible. Top tier. Susie will go nowhere without her little guy Lancer, and Noelle thinks he's cute as can be and incredibly silly. Is he involved romantically? Unclear but he sure is there

Roulxs Kaard/Spade King was very juicy back when we only had chapter one. The last bit of porn I witnessed before Tumblr fully closed it's doors was some nasty shit of the two of them. RIP the OP of that work they got hard banned four separate times.

Roulxs/Queen has sense filled the Roulxs Kaard malewife shaped hole in my heart however and it is so much funnier than whatever he and Spade King had going on. Queen talks about him like how we all talk about Spamton and I think that's glorious

Miscellaneous Deltarune ch. 2 thoughts under the cut because I LOVE reading these from other people

It slaps. So hard

I personally thought chapter 1 was a bit weak overall – still had loads of fun playing it, and replayed it a bunch, but it left me hoping Toby and his team would do something a little different in the next chapters. And OH BOY did they deliver with this one!!

The music!!! Is so!!! Good!!!

The characters! The dialogue! Chapter 1 got so many chuckles from me but I still feel Chapter 2 managed to be even better on this front.

The weird/snowgrave route is as disturbing as it is exciting, especially since we know there's only gonna be one ending.

The Player's relationshop with Kris is... interesting? I can't parse it. It doesn't feel in line with Toby Fox to make a game where the only moral thing to do for the in-game people is not to play it at all, like we can only do bad by possessing a kid who would be better off without us...? But also, Kris is so much their own person, I feel like I am intruding, or making them do things they wouldn't usually – even in Pacifist. Like – I wish them and Ralsei to be friends, so I make Kris hug Ralsei. But is Kris okay with that? What would have they done?

Especially since it seems like Kris doesn't like Ralsei all that much...? Kris drinking Ralsei tea is the only combination where one of the trio drinking the tea of another one restores 60hp and not 120. What's up Kris? What does he tell you while I'm not looking? You ok? You know you can talk to me, right? And that you can just. Ditch the soul for a bit if you wanna play the piano and go out with friends. Yo it's chill man

We all already knew Toby was inspired by OFF for a lot of stuff, but imho this is the first time it really shows!! Maybe because some stuff had been there even before Undertale. Queen being simply Queen, the Swatchlings have big OFF vibes... but especially the Acid Tunnel of Love! I think one of the imagery OFF fans are most familiar with is the Batter traversing these rivers of meat on a creepy duck/swan-like Pedalo. I've read some theories about how we're actually playing the Bad Guy, since we & Kris are the Knight, and will end up having to fight everyone else. While I don't think that's the case at all... I can't help but feel it would be *cool* to have a sort of Batter situation with Kris, hehe.

I think since Toby knows that by now, pretty much the whole fanbase is looking out for signs of Gaster, they might be,,, tricking us a little? I definitely thought that the man who “spoke so eloquently” and gave “blueprints” to Sweet Cap'n Cakes might've been him! Turns out it was just Roulx Kaard, who might look a bit the part but is definitely not Gaster, haha.

On the same vein... I think general fandom consensus is that Gaster is the Knight, no? The games sort of keep pointing at it. My guess is, it's gonna be more complicated. He's leading us on.

After all he was by far the weirdest (lore-wise) character in UT, the one with the most dialogue after the Narrator, inexplicably loved by all and any fourth wall breaking anomalies (Flowey, Toby, and me <3)

Also his design was based on Dedan from OFF! What a funny piece of information. How fun that he was based off a villain. Nothing could go wrong!!!

My belief is that he's gonna be an interesting character, and we're gonna meet him in the Dark World. Fight him probably!!! But we're gonna be his friends at the end.

And last thing... Sans has not once mentioned the name Papyrus. Papyrus just. Isn't in the game so far

Especially since. I feel there might be a thing with siblings or similar people with similar names and us players being confused about it...? Catty UT is here, but our peer and likely to be in adventures is Catti. Noelle has/had a sister we yet know nothing about, except her full name might be December. We were promised we would soon meet Suzy, yet only met Susie so far. We haven't seen Asriel in the game, but Ralsei sure looks how we imagine Asriel to, huh?

Can't wait for Toby to troll us. Sans is gonna open the door to his house like hey meet my brother. He's a little shy because he only speaks in sign language. His name is Gaster. Oh? Wasn't he who you were expecting?

and then Papyrus shows up and kicks our asses and in this other timeline he's the final boss or something and we could've never seen it coming

Assuming if the next secret boss is based on the trashed flowers so here’s a thought: What if they helped in forcing Toriel to get back with Asgore since after all, they’re now able to fulfill their purpose as a darkener to make these two happy again? Maybe this boss can only be recruited after the weird route and they’ll give you a different item since they’re not fought in the weird route akin to how one would get specific equipment from pairing up characters in other games?

Extremely plausible! After all, Spamton does quite a lot to facilitate and take advantage of Chapter 2's Weird Route! Not to mention, Darkners seem to love fulfilling the purpose Lightners give them and making Lightners happy-- even if they're incredibly misguided in how they go about it.

The Bouquet, as a Darkner, would possibly see Asgore as its creator or purpose-giver. And what desires does Asgore express in Chapter 2? What hopes and dreams might he pin to his flowers? To paraphrase what he asks Sans, 'what can I do to make her feel the way she did in the past?' (Or something along these lines, I don't really remember off the top of my head.) Perhaps the Bouquet correctly sees that Toriel is unhappy, but incorrectly assumes the way to make her happy again is to 'turn back the clock', get her back together with Asgore, and ignore whatever went down in the past.

Actually, if there were a heavy emphasis on denial and ignoring underlying problems, that could even be a way to have this Weird Route play out while not going into any depth about what actually happened quite yet, building more and more tension. And both Toriel and Asgore can have some denial problems. In Undertale, Toriel seems to want to ignore a lot of her complicated feelings and underlying grief, in favor of having a happy family and peaceful life in the Ruins. Asgore, meanwhile, I've always thought tended to idolize and hold onto the past, and that's only more obvious here, with these words, and with how he seems to have preserved Toriel's wedding bouquet in his upper floor. If in this hypothetical Weird Route Bouquet and the Player pressured Toriel into burying her feelings and doubts and getting together again with Asgore, would he question his dreams seeming to come true? (I think he would, eventually. In Undertale's neutral route he does acknowledges having his family back, even by adopting Frisk, is just pipe dreaming. But this is what he's been yearning for, so such a realization must be hard.)

I could still see the boss as being fought, admittedly. In both Undertale and Deltarune, the most highly emotional talks seem to always happen in the midst of battle. When Toriel decides to let Frisk go, when Papyrus realizes the human in his friend, when Asgore confesses he only wants to see his wife and child again, when Asriel screams he doesn't want to say goodbye to someone like Chara again... even Undyne challenging Frisk to fight her in her flaming house calls the battle screen back up.

Deltarune has played with the battle interface a lot more than Undertale did, introducing S, R, and N-actions and having stuff like the Roulxs and Giga-Queen fights. Maybe if Toriel is your party member and you fight the Bouquet, you can make Kris 'switch sides' by using actions on her, and wearing her down until she finally agrees, rather than wearing the boss down until it can be spared.

That said, I don't think we necessarily need to recruit this boss. If Bouquet does turn out to be a secret boss, it'll probably just be chilling in our weapons/armor inventory alongside Jevil and Spamton, as dialogue implies they're both still awake in there.

I do think giving us a different item in Weird Route would be interesting tho! We do have precedent for something like it happening, from being able to take the Ring of Thorns back from Noelle in an aborted Snowgrave route.
