Anakin Skywalker x Reader Headcanons

Pairing: Anakin x Reader

A/N: I don't think there's anything that requires a content warning in here. Maybe suggestive content?

I'm a hopeless romantic so here are random everyday things I feel Anakin Skywalker would do that could be so romantic and attractive:

I don't know if guitars exist in Star Wars but in real life, Anakin would help you tune a guitar. Maybe you’re struggling to get one of the strings just right and he hears you playing from another room and walks in to see you strumming the strings over and over.

“Ani, while you’re here, does this sound right to you?” You strum along the strings and he walks over to you, wrapping one hand around your shoulder and listening closer.

“I think it needs to be a tad lower. Here.” He says, holding up the neck of the guitar to allow you to reach the tuning pegs better. One more strum and it sounds perfect and you both smile at the sound. Then he sits and watches you play with a goofy smile on his face that makes you blush so you play him a love song that makes him blush harder.

Bringing you food to your work or class and just dropping it off for you so he doesn’t take up your time. It’ll have a little note on it that won’t be crazy cheesy. Just sweet and thoughtful, like, “Don’t want you forgetting to eat again, babe :) Love you! P.S. I picked up the dry cleaning.”

Sometimes when he wants to be cheesy to get a rise out of you, the notes will say things like, "Do you like raisins? How about a date?" in a box full of raisins.

Coming home before you and he doesn’t want to change into pajamas just yet but he wants to be comfortable so he’s walking around with his robes completely open across the chest. And he doesn’t even seem to notice that you be taken aback to find him like this when you come home.

He’s walking around, setting the table, doing laundry, all half shirtless. He only realizes you’ve been staring a little before dinner and finds it really amusing.

For some reason I imagine him to be really clueless when shopping for groceries or necessities. From what I understand, the Jedi temple seems to have everything a Jedi needs within its walls; food, water, bedding, etc. So when Anakin tries to surprise you by cooking for you, he has to give up on his plan and call you to ask which store to go to for different ingredients.

He knows where the basics are, but if one store he goes to is closed? His whole plan is in shambles because he has no backup.

He mainly wears his robes but he owns shirts and pants, and some of them are way too small for him now, but he keeps them around for you to wear when you want something looser to wear and loves to see you in his clothes.

Anakin strikes me as the type of guy who'd be really good with dogs. Seeing him play around with a huge German Shepherd or a Mastiff feels like such an attractive thought for some reason?

Like, you two could be talking while sitting on the floor and while he's talking, he's smiling and petting your dog who's cuddled up against his leg.

Anakin would love to take you out on dates, but to maintain the secret aspect of your secret relationship, he has to take a few precautions.

He would find the most remote, beautiful planets to take you to. Dinner and dancing, walks along the... well, not the beach because you know, sand. But long strolls in flowery meadows and swims in lagoons with waterfalls.

Anakin would also be one of those people who just stop for a while and stares at you in awe. Not for long and usually not consciously, but he'll look up from what he's doing randomly and let his eyes wander around the room until they catch you in sight and he'll just let his vision focus there, a smile forming on his face.

It's almost gotten him into trouble when it happens in public.

He'll just watch you for a few seconds at a time admiring what he has in front him. you once asked, "What are you looking?"

"I'm looking at you."

"Why?" you laughed out.

"Because I can't help it sometimes. You're just so pretty." and you just shut up because now you can't form words.

Ahsoka Tano - Out door dates are her thing fs!! She knows all the spots to and she shares them all with you. Need to know were the best view of corascaunt is? Or were you can find the prettiest flowers? She’s your girl! Dates with her are soo romantic. She takes you on picnics, Star gazing, hiking etc. You always get the best photos of her bc she’s photogenic asf and just going out with her in general is so much fun.

Commander Cody - He likes more home dates, And yk what your cool with it bc it’s always amazing. He also would take you out to fancy dinners every now and then, and he takes date advice from Obi wan so dates with him are always very nice and romantic.

Captain Rex - Literally showing you off the entire time, and will continue bc he’s so proud to have a s/o who’s so amazing. He takes date advice from Anakin, and then when Ahsoka hears what Anakins telling him, she decides to help him out bc she doesn’t want him to get dumped. Weirdly specific, but I think he took you to a fair for your first date. In the end your dates end up being a lot of fun.

Commander Wolffe - Complete opposite of his brother cody, he has no idea what he’s doing. In fact it probably didn’t even occur to him that he was supposed to take you on dates until someone said something abt it. His idea of a date was taking you out to 79’s with the rest of his squad, and that ended with him knuckles deep inside of you at the back of the bar bc he got a little to jealous watching you talk with his vod. After that and a little talk you decided that you would be the one planing dates.

Obi wan Kenobi - Dates with him are sooo romantic, classy and aesthetic honestly. Lots of cafe dates, painting/art stuff and he loves trying new types of food with you as well. Museum dates are a given with him, but if you don’t like that kinda stuff it’s alr bc he has a whole bucket list of things he wants to do with you. He’s a hopeless romantic 100%, so all the dates he takes you on make you feel like your in a romance novel. My guy knows what he’s doing ;)

Hey! Since making this account, I’ve had such a great time interacting with people in my fandom, and outside of, along with my readers and fellow writers alike! I thought it was appropriate to make a bit of an updated introduction here for anyone joining me now that I have my footing!

About Me:

You can call me Kay, and please do. Pronouns: he/him. I’m a political and legal nerd in the U.S. who’s neurodiverse and has been writing their entire life. I’ve really fallen in love with the world of fanfiction this year, but I do write original fiction as well, just none that I’ve shared here! I love rom-coms, sitcoms, literary fiction, and nearly every type of music, though I’m partial to jazz. I’m a hopeless romantic, an occasional poet, and sometimes a bit of a walking disaster, but aren’t we all? I’m also over the age of 21 and as an adult writer, for adult readers, I do write and post nsfw material.

Here on my blog, expect to see me post updates, writing plans, snippets, teases, and fic ideas! My asks are always open for questions, interactions, or sending me ideas — I’m here for it all — though I don't take formal requests. I’m also tag-game friendly, and love “meeting” people that way. What I Write:

My fanfiction journey started because of my love for Padmé Amidala from the Star Wars Prequels. I wanted more stories that centered on her, and so I started writing them!

A majority of my stories (written, in-progress, and to be written) are Padmé x Anakin, occasionally with those little Skywalkers as well. I personally enjoy AUs of all types for reading and writing. A lot of my work you'll find is set in a Modern AU because it allows me to explore different facets of the characters' personalities in worlds with new situations and different backgrounds for them to navigate.

As a general rule, I also like focusing on friendships and familial relationships along with romantic ones, so expect to almost always see other characters joining along the way in all of my writing. Many of my stories are domestic or family fluff, but there is some slice of life, hurt/comfort, and light angst mixed in. 

While Anidala is definitely my OTP, I am both multi-fandom and a multi-shipper, so expect to see many other ships in my work and on my page!

8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas?

Ack! Rex is a Clone Trooper who sleeps in two things: a fresh set of blacks OR his GAR-issued sleepers. Anakin is a bottom man. He works on getting Rex to sleep without a top on.

9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)?

Rex is a man of routine and habit. Actions become muscle memory, as regimented as anything else in his life. He prepares the coffee and sets out the screamer for Anakin.

23. Who asks who out on the first date?

Okay, it was Anakin who first had to force Rex to acknowledge the chemistry between them. It took a lot of negotiation between the two, and they casually transitioned into the romantic dynamic in their relationship as a sidebar to their professional. Once Rex was satisfied that they were handling their relationship well... they acted and seemed like they had been partners for years. Yet, they never went on a date. Cody, who still wished Rex had picked ANYONE but Skywalker, pointed out that the two never went on a date. Of course, Clones don't really know how to date. That's okay, Senator Amidala was kind enough to help him figure something out, so her friends could enjoy a nice first date. It was Rex who asked.

25. Who wears the other ones clothes?

Neither. They are too different bodily, and their clothes are tied to their unique culture. Sometimes Rex grabs a simple robe for cover if he has to move about a private space. One small modifier, though: Anakin does like the Clone's sleeper bottoms. He just wishes they were longer in the legs.

28. Who is the bookworm?

Rex loves military history. No, he really does. Anakin isn't a bookworm, but what he does love is finding treasures in the Jedi Archives that he can share with Rex. Anakin really loves the fact that sometimes, Rex will read the book out loud while Anakin works on a droid. They can have conversations while Rex excitedly explains deeper context or points out how something can be met with laughter. Though not a bookworm, he loves it when Rex has a book.

43. Who wins the stuffed animals at the carnival for the other one?

Both. With Anakin's ability to use the Force and Rex's advanced coordination, the two would be menaces to the carnival stands. They'd get into a contest over who can win the most stuffies for the other. They'd become so inundated that they give them to the 104th to share with refugee children who have lost everything in the war.

46. Who has the longer food order?

Anakin. Rex is even more skittish of strange foods than the average Clone, because of his sensitive palate and aversion to odd textures. Clones eat very regimented but health diets, and seem varied. But, it is like any other menu: it is consistent and predictable. BUT—One reason why Anakin orders so much is he wants to share foods with Rex. He coaxes his handsome Captain to try new things, sometimes holding them between his fingers. Sweets have the highest success rate.

50. Who is the hopeless romantic?

Without a doubt: Anakin. He purSUED Rex with his whole heart—he had to because Clones don't do anything with half their heart, and there was no way Rex would take him seriously if his heart wasn't as at much risk as Rex's would be. Every obstacle or concerned Rex presented was examined, and Anakin worked to find a solution... even if that was just something to soothe and reassure Rex that it is something they've already navigated and managed.

Human Rights

Just like in general, there are so many issues throughout the world that need to be worked on. Refugees, LGBTQIA+, Women, those with disabilities and struggle to access healthcare, POC and the indigenous and first nations people of countries. I am trying to generalise it all into one passion but I think there are just so many people not getting their human rights met, in all countries of the world. I want to try and make a difference in the world.

2. My fandoms

If you get me started talking about star wars (from the sequels ruining ankins sacrifice to just Anakin Skywalker in general to how you view him is based on aspects such as fate and destiny) , miraculous ladybug, percy jackson, the medoran chronicles, The 100, Scooby Doo (about how everyone in the scooby gang is 🏳️‍🌈) etc, I will not stop talking about it.

3. Travel and exploring the world

Considering I have never even left Australia, I just really want to travel the world. I want to go everywhere and see everything. Experience things outside of my comfort zone and learn about other cultures.

Fandom: Star Wars Prequels Ship: Obi-Wan Kenobi/Anakin Skywalker AUs/Tropes: Modern AU, Virgin Prompt: When Ahsoka proposes him to join her for a game of D&D, Anakin thinks it's gonna be extremely boring and everyone at the table will be lame. Instead he ends up with an insta-crush over the Game Master.

Extra details: Again, I think I already had this idea of Ahsoka, Anakin and Obi-Wan as a D&D group once upon a time. But if my memory serves me, it had Qui-Gon has the DM.

This time it's Obi-Wan the one in the Master position. In my head at first it's the Clones that played with Obi-Wan, maybe because they all work with Obi-Wan in a shop or something like that.

So one night Rex invites Ahsoka for a game and she immediately falls in love with the whole concept of roleplay and stuff like that.

In this one Anakin is her older brother, an hopeless romantic waiting for his "soulmate". He tries telling her he's probably gonna hate it when Ahsoka tries explaining that there are rules. But then Ahsoka convinces Padmé to join as well and Ahsoka mentions that Rex and Cody will be there as well, so Anakin finally caves in. Might as well go and make sure this older dude that Ahsoka has been meeting up with for weeks isn't a creep, right?

Basically Anakin had a stereotypical idea of what Obi-Wan would look like. And he's immediately dumb struck when he finds out that not only is Obi-Wan attractive, smart and charismatic, but has a voice to die for.

I just imagine Obi-Wan having to repeat over and over and over the rules of how to play to Anakin because he gets too lost in looking at Obi-Wan's lips and listening to the sound of his voice and "oh, sorry, didn't realize it's my turn".

Had also an idea of which class and race they would play for that one first game. Anakin as the dragonborn barbarian, Padmé as the half-elf bard, Ahsoka as the tiefling druid, Rex as the halfling sorcerer and Cody as the dwarf paladin.

But I also think Anakin would ask to join Ahsoka's weekly game and that he would switch for something else, possibly something cooler that would allow him to roleplay a lot with Obi-Wan (so, a Charisma based character).

I think so 💕!!! He does marry Padmé almost immediately, after all. I've written a few different versions of Anakin but even when he's not demi or anything I still write him as completely devoted to the person he loves, to the point of being almost unable to comprehend being interested in anyone else.

I wonder what that must be like for Obi-Wan, who is much less intense than our boy Anakin. Possibly a bit overwhelming, but I bet he'd be into it? Obi-Wan likes jumping out windows and being a lot™️ and anyway I dare him not to fall ridiculously in love with Anakin when he's just so cute and earnest!!!

Star Wars brain rot is a complicated thing. Aka I'm having way too many feels about the Prequels and I need to vent them out.

Last week with my sisters and my mother, we found a diary I had when I was 12. In it, I was already talking about how I like imagining what happens after a story ends, or re-imagining how it happens, and notably I talked about how much I loved Star Wars. 16 years ago already the Galaxy Far Far Away had invaded my brain.

But the thing is, your Star Wars opinions at 12 are not the same as your SW opinions at 16, at 20, at 26. (the same is also true for Lord of The Rings, by the way)

I used to swear only by the Original Trilogy, though, hopeless (a)romantic that I am, I would rewatch Attack of the Clones fervently (for Anidala, in case that wasn't clear), and stay away from Revenge of the Sith because I couldn't handle Anakin's Fall. I just love Ani, okay, and seeing in excruciating details how we went from the adorable blond head of The Phantom Menace to Lord "Choke Me Daddy" Vader of A New Hope, that's a bit distressing. Even if you love the Originals. It's hard to reconcile the two - a bit like Anakin/Vader can't see his two sides as the same person too.

Then Rogue One came out, and man, oh, man, how I was obsessed with this one. It was my main fandom (because at that point, I had a virtual map of fandom space and a guide to fandom life, which I didn't have at 12) for many, many months.

I didn't... think... of anything else besides the good ol' "Skywalker Family Drama, now in technicolour in every theater of this universe and the next!". Silly me.

I'm finally catching up on The Clone Wars and oh gods the Prequels are actually, genuinely amazing (no I'm not taking any criticism) and TCW is making me feel too much ? And maybe the real tragedy all along wasn't Anakin and Obi-Wan, but every single person -kriffed- sorry fucked by the Force, starting with the Clones (the clones!!!!!) and the actual Jedi ???!!!! I'm having a lot of Mando'a, Tattooine slave and Naboo cultures feels.

Time to erase the Originals and let Anakin be happy. And Sithspit, DECHIP THE CLONES AND GIVE THEM RIGHTS NOW.
