Born on this day: lacerating, regal and fierce High Priestess of Soul Nina Simone (née Eunice Kathleen Waymon, 21 February 1933 – 21 April 2003). I’d argue Simone was at her artistic zenith between 1964 – 1966, when she recorded essential statements like “I Put a Spell on You”, “Work Song” (“I left the grocery store man bleeding …”), “Ne Me Quitte Pas”, “Wild is the Wind”, “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”, “I Hold No Grudge” and especially “Four Women” (“I’m gonna kill the first mutha I see …”). god!merlin

druids can NOT speak in people’s minds. when they are before a high priestess, they can pray to her directly and she can hear them (hence the scene between morgana and mordred when he spoke in her mind).

merlin who constantly has this buzzing in the back of his head that he can never understand besides the occasional odd word which makes no sense. but when he’s closer to a druid or when their prayer is super strong, then he can make out what they’re saying.

merlin who brings up the fact that druids can speak into peoples minds to gaius who casually unfurls a scroll containing his ongoing list of reasons why merlin is/evidence of merlin being a god of the old religion.

#merlin just can’t remember bc he was born into a mortal body and his mortal brain couldn’t begin to comprehend #what it’s like to exist as a god #so he forgot #but every time he dies and comes back - or even casts a spell - a bit more of his mortality burns away #merlin emrys #emrys the god of life death and magic #(real) #high priestess morgana #god!merlin #bbc merlin #morgana pendragon #after arthur repeals the ban and a bunch of druids come to camelot to work out all the messy business #the druids gather before a hearth and make an offering to emrys who is literally in the same castle as them #their prayer is so strong and so close that the buzz in the back of merlin’s head turns into very clear screaming #gaius adds one more item to his list #eventually he’ll reclaim his status as a god but he’ll still stay by arthur’s side until the end of his life #and then - as a god - he’ll take arthur’s soul (and all his friends souls) and carry them into the realm of the gods #and they’ll all live there for eternity together bc i like happy endings #(+ now arthur gets to stand at merlin’s side as merlin leads his people (the gods))

Monkey Man is an incredible film serving a powerful political allegory, but framed as Hanuman’s story from the Ramayana. The same story that serves as a significant source of inspiration for One Piece. I noticed a lot of major parallels in particular with the Impel Down arc.

Being in union with a Deity or Supernatural

This is in the way of God Spousing but also you can be devoted to or just dating your Deity/Daimon/Spirit ect and still have similar experiences.

These are my personal experiences with My demon spouse and patron King Asmodeus.

The "Good"- Having a mentor, friend, & deep soul bond on a spiritual level.

The Astral Travels via meditation or dreams. (Not just the underworld but many places I may never go in person like India, Bali and Greece.)

The Telepathic Connection.

The Energetic Connection.

Being able to learn things spiritually, about the world and yourself that you could never online or in a book.

Becoming more open minded, grounded, and growing into the best version of yourself.

The Spiritual, kundalini awakening type sex. (Especially with someone who is not only The King of Lust but also My soul flame.)

Feeling his energy which is both warm, comforting and powerful (unless he's upset)

Having someone who doesn't care how you look, act or what you say when your angry.

Because to them it's all energy & they already know your higher self & love them. (especially if you've had past lives together) They know the real you and help you to see it too.

They love you no matter what. Unless you disrespect them or don't listen by acting out of alignment, but they do forgive.

How they believe in your connection even when you don't, and they never give up.

The experience, love and vast knowledge only they can provide.

The Healing. (Past Karma, trauma ect)

The Messages (Signs that they miss you or are around.)

The "Bad"- All the self doubts and reluctance in the beginning.

The "I'm making it up" phases.

Not feeling worthy.

Jealousy (Not just from me or him but others too)

Those that try to come between or block us.

The emotional outbursts when you haven't seen them in days or months so you feel like they abandoned you.

Miscommunication.

Not being with them in the 3D (unless it's through someone else)-Differs depending on your experience level.

The Insecurities.

Possible Co-Dependency.

Hyper fixating/Obsessing (Which can be both a good and bad thing)

3D human lovers not being up to par to what you've experienced with them.

Past life trauma.

Their facades, the faces they don't show you.

Having to trust they're not manipulating or deceiving you.

Being pushed & tested in order to grow and heal bad habits.

Feeling something is missing when they're busy & pull their energy back.

Being judged by others or feeling like you have to keep a secret. (Though Asmodeus doesn't like me not sharing or keeping us a secret.)

I am as We are (A Poem)

I am a High Priestess of Hecate. I am the necromancer who heals, the one who leads you to the other side through dreams. I am a guide to those who are lost, whether they choose to listen or not, I am both light and dark.

I am who see's the future, on numerous timelines, I am one of few who walks between this world and the next and above. It's written in the cards.

I am no longer afraid of my gifts, of my purpose. I am both protector and protected. I am a Princess of the darkness but also of the light. I am the balance. Just as she is.

You cannot hurt me because I am immortal, we are immortal. Eyes open, none unable to get past (spirit or human) all the curses turn to dust before they hit.

I am the one who can turn bones back to life. I am not afraid of falling I have already. I am not afraid of the past anymore because it no longer exists.

We have Ancestors older then you. We are powerful and soon we all will be awoken, those that truly are of both the shadow and the light. The darkness is not wholy "evil" and the light is not wholy "good" they just are, as is nature.

It is all one, do not seek oneness, just seek to be better than you were before. Break generational trauma, heal past lives but never forget you are not perfect as that does not exist. We are always learning. We are all just beings. Some are more ascended then others, but no more or less then others.

Trust in yourself, your guides and your own inner truth. It will never steer you wrong, only your doubt can. Be more aligned and find your true path, as I have. It is a battle but nothing that is meant to be is ever easy.
