Hello, I was told by reckless-space that you had three robot triplets for Huey, Boyd, and Violet and some Honker fankids as well, but I cannot find any of them on this blog. Could you please tell me more about them?
Hello, anon. I had a feeling someone might come my way when I got pinged in that post. The OCs you're asking about are fairly new, and I haven't really talked about them much outside of the DuckTales RP Discord server @reckless-space owns (they have a link in the pinned post of their blog, if anyone's interested).
Honker's kids were already on the proverbial drawing board before I joined Charlie's server, but it was on there that I completed them. Their mother is a bluebird Honker met in college, and their "Aunt Gosalyn" volunteered as a surrogate layer, since neither of their parents can lay eggs.
Tumblr media
Christine Muddlefoot, or Chrissy to most, is the first of their two kids. She's about 14 in the "next gen timeline" we collectively have on the server. She has excellent grades and an interest in marine life, and she's in chess club. She is also, however, something of a troublemaker and has been known to use her intellect cause problems on purpose. She's inherited some of her father's allergies to a lesser degree and has been conditioned out of most of them by modern medical practices. Chrissy learned piano from her dad and picked up the guitar on her own.
Tumblr media
And then the second of the two kids is Herbert Tankard Muddlefoot III, best known as Herbie, who is 10 in "next gent time". While also intelligent in his own right, Herbie is mainly interested in hockey, which he picked up from Aunt Gosalyn, whose classes he attends. While a little prone to cause trouble himself, he's far less likely than his older sister, mainly because he's picked up his father's kindness and desire to be helpful. He has Dad's eyesight and wears glasses normally, with a special prescription eye guard built into his hockey helmet in their place. He's not as into learning science as his father would (not so) secretly like, and he thinks Quiverwing Quack (whom he doesn't even know yet is his aunt) is cooler than Darkwing Duck ever was, to Honorary Grandpa Drake's entirely unhidden disappointment. Herbie enjoys playing video games with Chrissy, stubbornly conditioned himself to like spicy food (no one realizes he did this but Chrissy), and has a certain talent for music. He learned piano from Dad and picked up the trumpet on his own, developing a taste for jazz. Herbie's written the music for some of Kane's band's original songs (Kane is Charlie's LouiexOC fan kid; read about her on their blog), which are technically rock songs, but the music tends to have a hint of jazz, because Herbie wrote it. Herbie tends to be physically affectionate with friends and family, a trait he notably shares with Bailey, Kane's younger sister (Bailey created by @yourmusicmuse; check Muse's blog for more Bailey lore).
The Duck-Drake-Sabrewing triplets came to be after I had already settled into the server. They were created using salvaged schematics for Boyd, and partially out of salvaged leftover parts from Boyd's older/"younger" bodies, and were mentally programmed using brainwaves scanned from all three parents collectively. They were built at the physical/mental/emotional age of 8, and they're currently 12 as of "next gen time".
Tumblr media
Dorothy Drake, occasionally nicknamed Dotty affectionately by family, was named by Papa (Boyd) after the protagonist of The Wizard of Oz. She is the oldest triplet, having completed her initial activation sequence 12 minutes ahead of the others. She's inherited Papa's outgoing friendliness and Dad's (Huey's) big-sibling-ness. She also inherited Dad's need to feel in control of the situation and tendency to stress when things get out of hand. Dorothy has been known to retreat into alone space with a book when things get too much for her. Do NOT mess with her younger siblings in front of her, though, or you will regret it.
Tumblr media
Izzy Duck is the middle triplet. Initially named Isabella by Dad after Isabella Finch, they now go exclusively by Izzy after having, in their own words, "uninstalled [their] gender". Despite being Huey's child, they seemed to have inherited more from Uncle Dewey, including recklessness and need for attention, along with Uncle Louie's craftiness, which makes them quite the handful. They're quite friendly but tend to be blunt with little grasp on tact.
Tumblr media
Theodore Sabrewing, known to most as Theo and to his family occasionally as Teddy, is the youngest triplet by 21 minutes. He's mostly quiet and studious like Mama, but he has a more outgoing friendly demeanor like his fathers (more in line with Dad's) once he warms up to someone. Theo loves learning new things and sharing what he's learned with anyone willing to listen. He's not particularly brave, which can make his older siblings a tad protective of him. But he cares deeply about the people in his life and is driven by a want to show his support. Theo also likes woodcarving and has made at least one little wooden model each of all of his relatives.
If you wanna learn more about these kids' family, Charlie has a post linking to other OC owners here. And again, they have the Discord server link in their pinned post.

((I wanna take the time to go over all the details I have thought up for Honker in his adult life and brainstorm any additional information to further flesh out this time of his life to consider playing him in it in later roleplay. I could include his employment in Waddle and gradual work to bring it down from the inside via class-action lawsuit and how that earned both the respect of its former employees and the company itself from the bank. But since I already wrote one big post on that to begin with, I’ll just link it here and move on from there.
OK, to start off, Honker typically doesn’t go as Honker in his adult life outside of friends and family, especially once he’s earned his doctorate, at which point he’s usually Dr. Muddlefoot to anyone who’s an acquaintance at best or less. He attends the University of Calisota for a major in engineering, graduates fairly quickly, and is already working towards his doctorate in his mid 20s.
Dethroning Mark Beaks was not something on his mind (at least, not seriously) when he took up a job there around that time. It was mainly for the income to help pay off student loans but also because he saw great potential in Waddle as a company, despite his known long-standing dislike of its founder and CEO, and wanted to see if he could make a difference from within the company, Beaks’s incompetence be damned. It wasn’t until after he started working his way up and getting a good look at the inner workings and the people working those inner workings that the idea started to really form.
Honker had a bluebird classmate in college who goes by Azula, and they worked together towards graduation before falling in love and eventually got married. Azula later lands a management position in the new Waddle’s space division. Depending on how old Honker is when played, he may have 1-2 kids: Christine “Chrissy” Muddlefoot and Herbert “Herbie” Muddlefoot III, who are four years apart in age. They are biologically Honker and Azula’s kids, though they came from a surrogate layer due to Azula’s inability to lay. I’m thinking Gosalyn is the surrogate.
Both Chrissy and Herbie are highly gifted children. Chrissy is more of an unapologetic troublemaker, whereas Herbie (while not wholly above mischief) has a more helpful streak. Both can play the piano, taught by their dad, while Herbie has also taken trumpet lessons and an interest in jazz. Chrissy has an interest in marine biology, and she’s in the chess club (she’s also been known to get in heated chess matches with Louie). Herbie took an interest in hockey from his ‘Aunt’ Gosalyn and has taken lessons from her. Both siblings are into video games and often play together (both co-op and competitively). The family as a whole has little to no contact with their mother’s side of the family aside from a few of her siblings due to some “personal disagreements” that resulted in her cutting ties with most of them. Herbie is a huge fan of Quiverwing Quack, though he and his sister have no idea for most of their childhoods that she is/was (whether or not she continues to be, becomes a new Darkwing, or just retires entirely in adulthood is up in the air for Gosalyn players to decide) Aunt Gosalyn.
Honker loves kids and bringing out the inner scientists in them. As CEO of Waddle, he has extremely flexible work hours. And that’s a power he abuses the hell out of to be able to watch the kids of friends and family. He grew up to develop some pretty good cooking skills, and most of the kids he’s made meals for would agree that his food is good.
Tank and Honker have a much better relationship in their adulthood than they did in their childhood. Supposedly, some supervillain shenanigans during the time between made them have to work together to get out of their situation and tackle their emotional issues head-on along the way. I do not know the details, and I may or may not figure them out later, but they came out of the situation with a healthier bond in the end. Tank gets a job at Waddle in security after Honker’s ascent, eventually becoming chief of security.
As the new owner of Waddle as he relaunched it and started building it back up, Honker is personally the source of a lot of the company’s new ideas, but he also actively encourages his workforce to pitch their own ideas and makes sure they have full transparent credit when Waddle produces those ideas. He also makes an effort to maintain good relations with their consumer base. This includes things like highly personable customer support and feedback as well as the ability to trade in older models of Waddle products for a greatly reduced price on newer ones, things the Waddle of Mark Beaks did not provide. There is also a dedication to Dr. Thaddeus Waddlemeyer.
Quiverwing Quack (and/or Darkwing Duck, whether or not Gosalyn takes up the handle) has been known to patrol around the Saint Canard Waddle building in the event of thieves or saboteurs trying to break in. Some have speculated they have have a personal connection to the new CEO, but most consider that a rumor at best. The company has a bit less of a net worth than the old Waddle did in its heyday (i.e. before Beak’s poor business practices started biting him in the tail), though it’s mainly due to the company donating a lot of its proceeds to charities, small businesses, and STEM-based scholarship programs.
What’s Mark Beaks been up to since losing his company? Hell if I know! Or care.))
