We have a brand new baby on the farm, folks! 😍 I’m literally so happy! Words cannot even describe how excited I am! They look very much like my original horse – this little baby’s grandma – Little Splash of Shasta, who passed away in 2018. Pictured here is one of our horses, Baiya (Splash’s fourth baby), with her new baby. They are so beautiful! They remind me so much of Splash. I feel like I have a little piece of her again. I’m so moved, I’m so thrilled – what a beautiful gift! 💙

I want to wish a happy Mother’s Day to my Mami and to all those celebrating today. 💙 Pictured here is Mami making an alteration on my graduation gown (that I realized at the last minute didn’t fit, haha!) for PSC’s commencement yesterday and it’s a perfect example of her never-ending help she’s always ready to give me. Mami, thank you for always being here for me and for being such a wonderful and loving mom. I’m honored to be your daughter. I love you! Happy Mother’s Day! 💙

I saw this beautiful double rainbow outside The Kettle Stop east of Capon Bridge and I absolutely lost my mind with happiness. 😍 My heart said kettle corn and the universe replied “good choice.” Folks, I can’t. 💙

I had an absolute blast being a pretend patient for PSC’s nursing classes. Check out this fake bruise! Such a fun time. 💙

Took some photos from today’s first real snow of the season, listened to willow on repeat, and was absolutely feeling myself for the first time in a while. 💙 Frolicking in the snow: 10/10 would recommend.

This is one of my favorite photos of me as a child. If I could go back and visit my younger self, I’d tell her it’s going to be okay. 🌈 Happy Lesbian Visibility Day, folks! 💙

Farm chores today included preparing some additional country ice. I love country ice and thought again about how some folks don't know what it is.
So, for those who don't know: It's any bottle filled with water (leave a little space) that is then frozen and acts as a chunk of ice.
In my experience it works way better than regular ice. For example, because it's such a large chunk, it stays frozen longer and thus keeps everything colder for longer.
Additionally, this is a great way to reuse plastic bottles and reduce waste. Another great thing is how this helps to conserve water. When the ice melts, it's still in the bottle and can simply be frozen again rather than melted ice being tossed and potentially wasted.
Effective and environmentally friendly; country ice is great, y'all! 10/10 would recommend. 💙
