I Am Woman (Helen Reddy)
Yes I am wise but it’s wisdom born pain/Yes I've paid the price but look how much I’ve gained/ If I have to I can face anything/I am strong I am invincible I am woman
"Womens rights anthem for the win. Honestly can’t believe more people aren’t into it. If I was skilled and had the time I would make so many amvs for this song. It’s uplifting too, not really about the wrongs but about what can be and should be."
Welcome to the Internet (Bo Burnham)
Look at you, you/Unstoppable, watchable/Your time is now, your inside's out/Baby how you grew/And if we stick together/Who knows what we'll do/It was always the plan/To put the world in your hand
"This song fucks me up so bad that I have forbidden myself to listen to it because it sends me through a painful manic episode whenever I listen to it."

One of my favorite Disney songs, that bouncy melody and little "there's room for everyone in this world / if everyone makes some room" has stuck with me since the first time I heard it.

Just because ... a slightly odd blast from the past
The “Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” had an interesting approach to some of the songs...

I am a one-hit wonder, hear me cash in.
I don’t know how but somebody is going to find a way to use this as a sex toy.

The #1 song from 50 years ago was Helen Reddy’s version of “Delta Dawn”.
______________________
Delta Dawn
Songwriter: Larry Collins and Alex Harvey
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?
She's forty-one and her daddy still calls her "Baby"
All the folks around Brownsville say she's crazy
'Cause she walks downtown with a suitcase in her hand
Looking for a mysterious dark-haired man
In her younger days they called her Delta Dawn
Prettiest woman you ever laid eyes on
Then a man of low degree stood by her side
Promised her he'd take her for his bride
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?
Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky?

Seeing the movie 'I am woman' and hearing Helen saying 'Don't bring the Kids into this' it reminded me so much of my roman empire

The Perfect Host (2010)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
David Hyde Pierce caught my eye on this movie poster. I am hugely in love with his character on Frasier and am so disappointed that he isn’t in the reboot. However, casting him in this film was absolutely genius. He is stupendously sick and polite the entire time. I adore him, even if he is so eerie in this character.
I knew this film would be so sinister and twisted, but I didn’t expect the turns it would take. Yes, I was absolutely mesmerized the entire time.
Watch this film:
For more Niles Crane, but absolutely off his rocker
For the dance scene and the sensational dialogue like “You can’t kill me, I’m throwing a dinner party.”
Similar titles:
Psycho (1960) (DHP’s character is very Norman Bates)
The Voices (2014) (Similar dark comedy with an unreliable protagonist)
