Why Nobody Cares About Fat Freezing Colorado Springs
In this contemporary world, everyone wants to look perfect and have a proper physical appearance. However, fat on the body or extra skin becomes a major concern among some people. There is not any medicine or product which can cut down fat in a short time period. On the other hand, Fat freezing has become popular among obese people who want to shape their bodies.
The worldwide fat freezing market was worth USD 1.1 billion in 2021 and is expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.1% between 2022 and 2030. This is expanding daily due to the high demand among individuals for losing weight and modifying their bodies. Today in this blog, we will discuss why many people do not care about Fat Freezing Colorado Springs.
Tumblr media
How Does Fat Freezing Reduce Fat?
It is a non-invasive procedure used to shrink or eradicate persistent fat pockets in particular body parts by employing technologies such as cryolipolysis, radiofrequency, and laser lipolysis. The FDA has authorized non-invasive devices used in these treatments to permanently eliminate fat cells since their efficiency and safety have been studied, and the findings have been demonstrated to exhibit substantial outcomes.
Cryolipolysis, often known as fat freezing, is a nonsurgical fat reduction method that involves using low temperatures to remove fat deposits in specific body parts. The operation is intended to eliminate localized fat deposits or bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. Because the cool sculpting ring destroys fat cells, the results of this treatment persist indefinitely.
Why do people ignore fat freezing?
Without a doubt, this is a popular fat-loss procedure, yet many individuals do not trust it. This occurs because many people gain weight again after a few months because they do not keep a healthy lifestyle and do not change their food. We know that the Fat Freezing Colorado Springs procedure decreases fat after two-three therapy, but it doesn't imply a person will never develop fat again. This cold sculpting works well and assures that fat will not return in the future, but a person's diet and physical activity also play a role and can be reasons for fat returns.
In other words, Fat freezing kills the fat cells from their root but sometimes, some untreated fat cells grow again and cause issues. And if a person continues with the previous diet and physical activity, then also fat can come again since the new fat cells start generating. Otherwise, Fat Freezing reduces the fat by killing the cells from its root, but it can not stops the cells from regenerating.
Some do not care about the fat freezing colorado springs as it may cause some side effects, so they step back to get fat freezing treatment. Fat cells eventually die and are removed from the body through natural processes. Most patients may resume their usual daily activities immediately after a CoolSculpting treatment, with only minor side effects such as bruising, redness, or itching that diminish on their own after a few days. It is advisable to follow some precautions which are common to follow in each individual’s life. These steps are mentioned below.
Maintain the diet; do not eat unhealthy foods, mainly oily food, which are the main cause of fat.
Do regular exercise to get a perfect shaping for forever, and add some activities that do not allow the fat to return.
Therefore, people think that fat freezing is ineffective but true is that many of us do not care about our diet and physical body. Fat freezing Colorado springs or cool sculpturing effectively reduces fat since it works from the roots by killing the fat cells.
Say goodbye to the extra fat from the body; since fat freezing works with non-invasive techniques, which means there is not any object injected into the body or there is no need for any kind of surgery. This is the reason behind people prefer to get Fat freezing Colorado springs.
How many sessions of fat freezing require for an individual?
This all depends on the person and the affected region by fat; for example, many patients desire to merely decrease their belly fat where they have excess fat to save money. In most situations, a double fat freezing procedure is sufficient for excessive fat regions, which results in superior outcomes, which the person also prefers. In certain circumstances, when someone has too much fat on their entire body, they require cool sculpturing three times, separated by months. After one CoolSculpting session, patients can expect a 20 - 30% decrease in fat cells in the treated region.

Is anyone else fed up with “summer body” marketing bullshit? . I feel like everywhere I look people are trying to shove diet culture down women’s throats and I’m SO sick of it. . I love being physically active and taking care of my body and I love veggies (good thing since I’m a #vegetarian lol) but I also love a good marg or cookie or giant plate of french fries #itscalledbalance ⚖️ . Im tired of diet culture. Im tired of people pushing diet culture under the guise of health. Im tired of people talking about getting our bodies “beach ready”. . Im tired of people being reduced to body parts that need to be worked on instead of being acknowledged as a whole beautiful person. . Im tired of food being reduced to calories that are mostly to be avoided. . Im tired of exercise being a tool to achieve some unattainable photoshopped bullshit instead of an empowering badass activity to bring you joy. . Im tired of people idolizing weight loss. Im tired of hearing people be told, “omg you lost so much weight you look so good” like skinny is the most revered thing we can be. . Less counting calories, more focusing on how you feel/energy levels. . Less emphasis on weight loss, more emphasis on having a healthy relationship with yourself, your body and food. . Less focus on following bullshit rules and more focus on our mental health, stress levels and happiness. . #fuckdietculture 🖕🏼 . . 📸 @currentlycolorado #bts for something epic in the works - can’t wait to tell y’all about it! Meridian, ID
Downtown Meridian is my favorite. Many people like me love Meridian, ID, because of the beautiful neighborhoods. Each has a sports vibe and a great personality. Roaring Springs Water Park, which hosts various cultural events throughout the year, is within walking distance. I notice the lack of parking and heavy traffic sometimes, but I love other beautiful things about this place. The place comprises waterfront estates, golf course villas, townhomes, single-family homes, condos, and apartments. Most families consider this location because of so many reasons. Among the reasons include safety, high-quality education, and many fun events to enjoy, so happiness is overload. So no wonder why Meridian is well known.

‘My pants didn’t fit’: Travelers checking in at fitness resorts to drop pandemic pounds – CNN
(CNN) — If the “baking elf” hadn’t spent the pandemic whipping up sweet confections, Frances Hohl might not have gained 25 pounds.
But the magical pastry chef — aka Hohl’s 19-year-old daughter, Casmere, who was doing college remotely — calmed her Covid anxiety by baking fabulous creations almost every night: Strawberry shortcakes and chocolate chip cookies and French macarons and lemon meringue pies. She once even made a wedding cake. Never mind that no marriage was taking place.
Hohl couldn’t ignore her daughter’s efforts. Nor did she want to. “Wedding cake is my favorite,” says Hohl, 56, a writer in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
And that is how, 11 months into lockdown, Hohl found herself at Movara, a fitness resort in Ivins, Utah, trekking through rust-colored canyons with sand so thick she was practically wading in it. Her calves ached. Her shoulders throbbed. Blisters erupted between her toes. Still, in the afternoons she did strength or cardio classes, along with massages and other body treatments — all in an effort to take off the pounds she had amassed.
“I just felt so uncomfortable in my body,” says Hohl.
Many people felt similarly after a year spent ordering takeout, bingeing Netflix and working from home — often facing enormous stress, anxiety and depression. According to a March research letter published in JAMA Network Open, Americans gained more than half a pound every ten days of lockdown.
Tumblr media

And the urge to drop pandemic pounds extends beyond the United States.
Slimmeria, a weight loss, detox and fitness retreat operator in the United Kingdom, has been sold out since May. “I think due to the Covid situation people are taking their health very seriously and started practicing self help,” says Slimmeria owner Galia Grainger.
Caroline Sylger Jones, the founder of retreat guide and review site Queen of Retreats, is seeing the same thing.
“Most of our UK and European retreats that have been able to run have sold out this summer, although everyone says bookings are last minute,” she says. “Definitely people are looking to lose their lockdown weight and get fitter.”
Now that the world is opening up, weight loss and fitness resorts are reaping the benefits of those goals.
Looking to lose the ‘Covid 19’
Hilton Head Health, in South Carolina, has seen a 30% increase in new inquiries since mid-February, with a six- to eight-week waiting list. Due to customer demand, The Ranch in Malibu, California, recently launched The Ranch 9.0, a nine-day experience that adds two days to its signature week-long program. And We Care, in Desert Hot Springs, California, is so busy that they’re considering opening a branch on the East Coast.
Movara in Utah was recently sold out 18 weeks in a row.
“And there’s no sign of it slowing down,” says Elaine Hartrick, Movara’s general manager. “Guests arrive each week talking about how they’ve gained the ‘Covid 19’ or the ‘Covid 25’ or ‘Covid 30’. People recognized obesity as a risk factor for complications from Covid, and they wanted to change their lifestyle so they wouldn’t become another statistic. It was a wake-up call for so many people.”
Caren Kabot, the founder of Solo Escapes, a travel company that focuses on spa and wellness, says people are also looking to rest and reset after a year of confinement.
“They’re like, where do I start? What do I need to do? I say, plan at least one week where you can focus on creating balance in your life while shedding a few extra pounds.”

‘It was so calming’
Tiffany Benjamin, 41, took that further and booked a month-long stay at Fit Farm, in Castalian Springs, Tennessee.
“We e-learned three kids and stayed inside for a year and several months, and I just ate and drank and gained about 60 pounds,” says Benjamin, who runs a foundation for a company in Indianapolis. “I wasn’t feeling great, my pants didn’t fit. I hadn’t lifted anything other than a donut box. I thought, just to go someplace to not have to pick up anybody’s socks and to be given a schedule of what to do sounds great.”
Each morning she woke up at 6 a.m. for a pre-breakfast workout, along with eight to 10 other guests. The remainder of the day consisted of five to six hours of workouts and workshops on everything from nutrition to the 5 Love Languages, along with three healthy meals and two snacks. Think adult summer camp, but with cooking classes, interval training and unsweetened bug juice.
The camaraderie was as important as the physical fitness. At all of these resorts guests eat meals together, and work out as a group.
“Everybody was sort of on the same mission, no matter where they were in terms of health and weight,” says Benjamin. “We were there to be kind to ourselves and each other. I watched the sunrise over the horizon. I petted a horse. I went hiking. It was so calming and I didn’t have to make a lot of decisions.”

Pandemic stress takes a toll
Stress and anxiety are two of the biggest reasons why many people gain weight in general, and specifically during lockdown, says Katie Rickel, a licensed clinical psychologist and the chief executive of Structure House, in Durham, North Carolina.
“Stress, habit and boredom, and that describes the pandemic,” says Rickel, adding that Structure House is booked solid three months out. “All the reasons people went to food was accentuated. Covid also sensitized people to just how delicate our health is and helped people reprioritize just how controllable health behaviors are.”
Jacob Norry, 25, went to Structure House for five weeks in November. A graduate student in marine biology in Fort Lauderdale, Norry has struggled with binge eating for years. Last August he broke his ankle and his weight shot up to 280 pounds. He fell into a deep depression.
“Covid didn’t help,” he says. “I live alone and not having people come over was hell.”
A family friend suggested Structure House, which offers treatment for compulsive overeating, and Norry decided to go. He lost 20 pounds, most of which he has kept off.
“They really help rebuild your relationship with food,” he says. “When I went into Structure House my goal was, ‘I want to get back to 175.’ Now my goal is, ‘I want to be healthy.'”

‘We needed something different’
Getting healthy is what brought Laura and Danielle Prioleau to Movara. The mother-daughter duo from Twentynine Palms, California, spent nine weeks there.
“Before the pandemic I had lost nearly 60 pounds and was doing really well,” says the twenty-something Danielle, who is completing her graduate studies in marriage and family therapy.
“But during the pandemic I gained weight and wasn’t really getting out. I wanted to support my mom and make this a joint effort. We both wanted a lifestyle change and were tired of the dieting rigamarole. Nothing was sticking. We needed something different.”
She was able to work remotely; her mother, a comptroller for a non-profit organization, took time off from work to go to Movara. “Being at home, with three kids who came home from college — I was just cooking and playing board games,” says Laura Prioleau.
Laura has lost almost 35 pounds and Danielle has dropped about 30 pounds.
These vacations don’t come cheap. Rates for a new participant at Structure House start at $3,050 for a one-week visit, and about $2,500 a week in a shared one-bedroom apartment if you stay four weeks. The Ranch runs $8,600 for seven days and $10,800 for nine. At Fit Farm, a double starts at $2,399 for one week. Movara begins at $1,995 per person in a shared room ($2,569 in a single) for a week.
But many people who can afford this kind of retreat feel they’re worth the investment — though there are no guarantees they’ll keep the weight off.
Because though most resorts offer some kind of return-to-the-real world program, let’s face it: It’s easy to eat healthfully when someone is cooking for you, leading you on hikes, and removing temptation. The challenge comes when the fairy dust settles and the real world kicks in.
But some people prevail. Hohl lost nine pounds during her month at Movara, and her body fat percentage went from 43.7 to 39.6.
When she returned to Colorado she did the Movara Home program and lost another 11 pounds. (It also helped that the “baking elf” got a full-time job, which cut down on her kitchen time.)
Hohl hopes to return to Movara next February for a reset. “I’ve gotten so many comments from family who last saw me before I went away,” says Hohl. “They could tell I was just much happier and obviously smaller.”

EndoCannabinoid system
In case you went to school within the 60's and 70's you might bear in mind the "munchies" or voracious urge for food which typically accompanied marijuana smoking. Little did the pot heads of that day notice that medicines sooner or later which block the munchies would assist them shed the kilos that they might achieve over the subsequent 30 or so years. EndoCannabinoid system
This new treatment, ramonabant (affectionately identified at metabolism.com as Ramona), model identify Acomplia, is presently accessible in Europe and should quickly be accessible in the USA. The corporate which produces this treatment, Sanofi-Aventis, has been in prolonged negotiations with the FDA concerning gaining the essential approval required to convey Acomplia to market within the U.S. There was a lot hypothesis in regards to the causes for the prolonged delay in gaining approval from the FDA. One potential purpose is that though intensive scientific trials recommend that the brand new drug is secure and efficient for weight reduction, many specialists are involved about potential side-effects of ramonabant.
Research present that about 30-40% of overweight individuals taking ramonabant misplaced greater than 5% of their physique weight and 10-20% of topics misplaced over 10% of their physique weight above what they misplaced on weight loss program alone. As a result of Ramona acts on the liver as effectively it had helpful results on triglycerides and different fat within the blood. Blood strain discount has additionally been noticed with Ramona therapy.
Learn More
Ramona works by blocking an vital chemical pathway within the mind generally known as the endocannabinoid system. Scientists speculate that our physique naturally manufactures substances resembling hashish (marijuana, pot, reefer erc.), which work together with the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system not solely participates within the management of urge for food however is lively in lots of areas of the physique together with the gastrointestinal tract, temper regulation, bone growth, muscle management, blood strain, adaptation to emphasize and the reproductive system. A number of specialists corresponding to College of Colorado at Colorado Springs biology professor Dr. Robert Melamede have warned that the long run use of Ramona for weight reduction may end in undesirable side-effects involving these different physique programs. The truth is, despair is listed as one of many side-effects that will restrict Ramona's tolerability occurring in about three% of overweight topics in a weight reduction research. Nausea was one other vital limiting side-effect.
Trade specialists speculate that Acomplia could also be accessible for U.S. customers by this summer season however nobody is aware of for positive. Insurance coverage corporations within the U.S. won't pay for medicines for weight reduction. Solely a drug that treats a medical sickness or situation can be "lined" by an insurance coverage firm. For that purpose it's thought that Sanofi-Aventis will strategy the FDA for an approval to make use of Ramona within the therapy of diabetes. It is because many diabetics will see an enchancment of their blood sugar as they shed some pounds and since Ramona could have a direct helpful impact on glucose and ldl cholesterol regulation, as effectively. It should then be as much as the FDA to complete their evaluation of the security and efficacy of the drug for this goal. How lengthy this may take is anybody's guess.

When you've got ache from a repetitive pressure damage, you should utilize your physique's inner painkillers for reduction.
One group of those painkillers is the endocannabinoids, or ECs. The hashish plant (marijuana) is thought to imitate their results. So, tapping into your physique's personal endocannabinoids is like getting a pure excessive, produced by your physique.
Analysis on the consequences of your physique's pure endocannabinoids (ECs).
Rice and his London colleagues reported in 2002 how ECs had anti-inflammatory and analgesic results. They're generally studied for his or her results on nervous system problems corresponding to stroke and a number of sclerosis.
Repetitive Pressure Damage ache.
Once you endure a gentle tissue damage, your tissues change into strained. Blood stream and oxygen are restricted. Muscle tissues really feel stiff and painful.
Wholesome motion patterns are changed by repetitive motion. Imbalances develop as some muscle tissues change into overworked and others change into underworked.
By stimulating your endocannabinoid system, you possibly can enhance tissue well being and relieve ache.
Boosting your physique's therapeutic painkillers.
There was rising proof that the only pure method to stimulate your ECs is thru train. However you get a bonus: train has an extended checklist of therapeutic advantages that ease strained tissues.
A research in 2004 by Dietrich and McDaniel recommend that the analgesic (pain-killing) and sedative properties of train may be as a result of endocannabinoid stimulation.

And possibly just a bit goes a good distance? Analysis in 2003 on the Georgia Institute of Know-how, by Sparling et al., famous that train of reasonable depth prompts the endocannabinoid system.
Train itself is helpful for strained muscle tissues and tissues. Cardiovascular coaching is particularly helpful for bettering blood and oxygen stream, and inspiring muscle tissues to maneuver in more healthy methods.
Any variety of marijuana customers, whether or not medicinal or leisure, will let you know that "Mary J" is nice for rest. The truth is, you'd most likely obtain an inventory of issues the drug has helped relieve or alleviate all collectively.
As an arthritis affected person in search of alternate options to synthesized medicines, unable to make use of conventional medicines or bodily unreceptive to conventional treatment, you might be skeptical. You could be disbelieving. You could, actually, think about marijuana customers to be slightly missing within the intelligence quotient, merely making an attempt to make their drug use acceptable.
Acomplia is a medicine to help overweight individuals to shed some pounds and it was licensed to be used as an adjunct to weight loss program and train within the UK in June 2006. Since then, it has proved to be the preferred weight reduction therapy prescribed by The On-line Clinic, outstripping gross sales of Xenical and Reductil, the 2 established weight reduction therapies licensed within the UK.
Acomplia works by blocking the CB1 receptor within the physique's endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is assumed to control the physique's need for meals and power consumption. The physique sends out chemical substances referred to as cannabinoids which, once they latch onto the CB1 receptors that are situated in fats cells and the hypothalamus of the mind, creates a sign that the physique wishes meals and this manifests itself as starvation pangs. It's believed that the endocannabinoid system is overactive in chubby and overweight individuals. The blocking of the CB1 receptor by Rimonabant (the lively ingredient in Acomplia) makes starvation pangs far more manageable.
As with most medicines, Acomplia doesn't work for everybody. Medical trials demonstrated that 70% of sufferers had been capable of lose at the least 5% of their physique weight over a 12 month interval. Round 39% of sufferers managed to lose at the least 10% of their body weight over the identical interval. It was additionally famous that a lot of the weight reduction occurred inside the first 9 months of therapy.
Acomplia is just not with out potential unwanted effects. The commonest unwanted effects reported by sufferers embody nausea, despair, irritability and sleeplessness. Most sufferers have reported no unwanted effects in any way and solely a handful have thought of the unwanted effects to be so critical that they've determined to stop therapy.
Acomplia is just not appropriate for everybody so anybody contemplating commencing a course of therapy ought to make a full and frank disclosure to any clinic to make sure that an correct evaluation of their suitability may be made.

Matcha Tea for Weight Loss — Even More Powerful Than Green Tea?
Tumblr media
Want to lose weight? Let’s talk matcha! Matcha tea or “powdered tea” is a new health and weight loss drink that everyone is gushing about. It is used in the Japanese tea ceremony and is obtained from the same plant as green tea. But matcha tea is 10X times more effective in supporting weight loss than green tea because it is processed differently. Curious to know what makes this vibrant green powdered tea so special and how it aids weight loss?
Matcha Tea For Weight Loss
This powdered green tea was discovered in China during the reign of the Tang Dynasty. But it was the Buddhist monks who brought matcha tea to Japan. It encouraged them to meditate better, and as time passed, it became popular. Over the past 1000 years, matcha has become an essential part of Japanese culture. It is used in the Chado ceremony, where two grades of matcha are used – Koicha (thick) and Usucha (thin). In this ceremony, the host prepares matcha tea using the traditional method of whisking the tea with a bamboo whisk.
The processing of matcha is what makes it so extraordinary. The best quality of matcha tea plant is grown in the Uji region of Japan. The tea plants are capped with bamboo shades, allowing only 20% of sun rays to reach the plants. This process helps enhance the chlorophyll levels of the leaves. Then, the leaf buds are plucked, steamed, dried, and stone ground to produce matcha tea.
How Matcha Tea Aids Weight Loss
1. Low In Calories
Matcha tea is low in calories – 1 g contains about 3 calories. So, even if you have more than 2 g of the tea, you will not consume too many calories. And as you know, fewer the calories you consume, lesser the chances of those calories not getting used up and being stored as fat.
2. Rich In Antioxidants
Matcha tea is received from the same plant as green tea, Camellia sinensis. And, like green tea, matcha tea also contains the most abundant and proactive antioxidant, Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Scientists at the University of Colorado found that the EGCG content in matcha is 137 times more than Chinese green tea. And that’s because when you drink the tea, you consume the whole leaves, unlike most teas where you discard the leaves after steeping them in hot water for a few minutes. The antioxidants help flush out toxins, boost immunity, and reduce inflammation, which helps prevent weight gain and accelerates weight loss.
3. Boosts Metabolism
If you are trying to lose weight, you should pay attention to your metabolic rate. If your metabolic rate is slow, you will not be able to shed the fat, no matter how less you eat. Matcha green tea has been found to boost or speed up your slacking metabolism. The catechins present in the tea help improve the metabolic rate during and after exercise.
4. Burns Fat
Fat burning is a biochemical process of breaking down large fat molecules into smaller triglycerides, and these triglycerides must be used up or excreted. Matcha tea is rich in catechins that increase the body’s thermogenesis from 8-10% to 35-43%. Moreover, drinking this tea can improve your exercise endurance and help you burn or mobilize fat.
5. Balances Blood Glucose
A constant spike in blood glucose or blood sugar levels can put you at the risk of being insulin resistant and diabetic. Matcha tea helps reduce and regulate the blood sugar levels as it contains a good amount of dietary fiber, which keeps you full for a long duration and prevents you from overeating. And when you don’t overeat, your glucose levels will not spike. This, in turn, will also prevent you from being prone to type 2 diabetes.
6. Lowers Stress
Stress triggers the secretion of cortisol, the stress hormone. When the cortisol levels are constantly high, your body goes into a state of inflammation. You start feeling fatigued, tired, restless, all at once. And the worst side effect of being stressed out is weight gain, especially in the belly region. Matcha tea is packed with antioxidants that help scavenge the harmful oxygen radicals, lower inflammation, and prevent weight gain.
7. Provides Energy
Matcha tea also helps boost the energy levels, increases alertness, and makes you more proactive. The more active you feel, the more active you will be. This prevents you from being lazy, increases your stamina and endurance levels, and helps in weight loss.
8. Reduces Cholesterol
Matcha tea is the richest source of EGCG, an antioxidant that is found in most teas. Scientists found that EGCG helped reduce bad cholesterol levels in laboratory rats when they were fed high cholesterol food for 30 days. The underlying mechanism may be because EGCG inhibits bad cholesterol absorption.
9. Helps In Detoxification
Bad eating and lifestyle habits can lead to toxic build-up in your body. And the toxic build-up is one of the reasons for weight gain. So, you need to detoxify your body every day. And what can be better than drinking matcha tea, which is loaded with antioxidants that help flush out the harmful free oxygen radicals? Detoxification with matcha tea will help you lose weight, prevent constipation, improve digestion, build immunity, and boost your overall health.
How To Prepare Matcha Tea At Home
Preparing matcha tea is simple and is similar to making a cup of green tea.
Things Required
Chawan – traditional Japanese Matcha tea bowl
Chasen – Bamboo whisk
Chashaku – Bamboo scoop or spoon
Sifter
Ingredients
½ teaspoon Matcha green tea powder
2-3 ounces of water at 185 F
Matcha Tea Recipe
Sift half a teaspoon or two bamboo scoops of matcha green tea powder and add it to the tea bowl. Carefully pour the hot water.
Use the bamboo whisk to whisk the matcha, using a “W” motion. Do this until a layer of froth has formed.
Slow down the whisking and slowly lift the whisk from the center. And, it’s ready!
How Many Cups Of Matcha Should You Drink?
It is safe to drink 3-5 cups of matcha green tea per day for weight loss. Since 1 cup of matcha contains about 70 g caffeine (1 cup of coffee contains 100 g caffeine), we recommend you not to overdrink it as you may experience an unpleasant spike in energy levels and withdrawal symptoms. Now, let’s find out which brand of matcha tea is best for weight loss.
What Are The Best Matcha Tea Brands?
There are many brands of matcha tea, but only a few are organic and high-grade. Here are the best brands of matcha tea.
Teavana Organic
WowMatcha
Pure Matcha
Matcha DeMark
Midori Spring Organic Ceremonial Matcha
Aiya America Organic Ceremonial Matcha
Mizuba Tea
Matcha Tea Vs. Green Tea
Any new tea variety can make you ask, “Is it really better or is it just another marketing trick?” Well, as discussed in the article, matcha tea contains about 10 times more antioxidants than green tea. Plus, it tastes great. Having said that, I would also like to add that matcha tea is great, but so is green tea. You can use both, but yes, you will see quick results with matcha tea.
Health Benefits Of Drinking Matcha Tea
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is an antioxidant found in most teas. However, since matcha tea is produced by grinding the whole tea leaves, and you drink the powdered tea without discarding the leaves, you get a lot more of the antioxidant as compared to any other tea. And it helps improve your health in the following ways:
It helps flush the toxins out.
EGCG helps lower stress levels and blood pressure.
Keeps your heart healthy by lowering bad cholesterol levels and improving overall blood lipid profile.
Matcha tea is also rich in dietary fiber, which keeps you full for a long period.
This tea will improve hair and skin health.
Since it helps lower blood sugar levels, it prevents the risk of diabetes.
Helps to detoxify the liver.
Matcha Tea Side Effects
If you consume more than 5 cups of matcha tea per day, you may experience the following:
Nausea
Constipation
Anxiety
Insomnia
Headache
Diarrhea
Heartburn
Who Should Avoid Drinking Matcha Tea?
Pregnant women and children should avoid drinking matcha tea. Also, always consult your doctor before drinking matcha tea for weight loss. He/She will be able to give you an expert opinion depending on your medical conditions, medical history, age, weight, current medications, etc.
How To Store Matcha Tea
Here are the steps you can follow to store matcha and prevent it from oxidizing:
Wash an airtight container with soapy water to prevent contamination.
Let it dry in the sun.
Scoop out the matcha tea powder and transfer it to the airtight container.
Store it in a cool and dark cabinet in the refrigerator.
If you haven’t opened the matcha tea pack yet, store it in the fridge.
Bottomline
Hope you have got all the information regarding matcha tea for weight loss. Get your pack of matcha powder today and let us know if your weight loss plan worked! Enjoy a delicious drink and lose the stubborn fat.

6 Month Update!
I know I’m a few weeks behind, but whats new?!?
This Spring/Summer has been quite the rollercoaster, I’m not exactly sure where to begin...since ya know, I haven’t been updating anything!! For starter, we will begin back in April; my birthday Month. Below is a photo of Holly and I. We went to the Melting Pot in Minneapolis for my Birthday Dinner. It was amazing - the fondue *see photos below*.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please note, this is not my favorite photo of myself, but I am trying to be more positive about unflattering photos. It’s more about the moment anyways.
Tumblr media
23 was a wonderful year. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful celebration. In addition to the Melting Pot, Holly surprised me with balloons and chocolate - WAITING AT THE TABLE when we arrived. Holly also bought me my  favorite perfume and a donut! And during the week, my roommate Sharissa surprised me with balloons and a vegan donut from Glam Dolls. I have two wonderful friends. Furthermore, I spent a wonderful week with Eddie. He spoiled me rotten. We went trap shooting (my FIRST time ever), saw a movie - had sex in a movie theater. SHHHHHH!!! Went to MOA, played mini golf, went out to dinner, had great birthday sex, and went trap shooting again. It was such a relaxing week, spent with the most wonderful of souls. For my birthday, Eddie bought me a 90 minute massage, a candle, chocolate, and the most precious card I have ever received. He said that he loved me in the card. Lastly, Erikka and Alexis took me to see Magic Men for the birthday. What a funny show! Definately good entertainment.
Flash forward to May! Sharissa and I went to see Wicked at the Orpheum at Minneapolis.
Preface: The Wizard of Oz is a classic in my family household, greatly due to my GG-Pa. He loved the Wizard of Oz and he definately would’ve loved Wicked AND that it was on Broadway. He was a New Yorker, ya know!  My GG-Pa, loved the story, simply because he believed that everyone has kindness in their hearts, no matter how evil. I am so grateful for the short period of time I had him in my life, he taught me so many valuable lessons that I will carry with me throughout my entire life. I feel like, although my GG-Pa is no longer with me, he was present during that show.
Tumblr media
What a beautiful story. I loved every minute of it and would definitely see it again. It was so much fun to dress up and treat myself to something, extraordinary!! I cannot wait to see Aladdin at the Orpheum in October with Sharissa, Alexis and Erikka. <3
Shortly, a few weeks later, Sharissa and I played hooky from work for 1hr on a Friday afternoon and went to Glam Doll Donuts in Minneapolis to get their one of a kind Mac & Cheese donut. I would highly recommend!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a cool picture of Holly and I. We went to the Largest Candy Store in MN. It was fucking huge. It was very overwhelming and I probably would not go back. Unless it’s for pie. Their pie smelled amazing. There were just too many people and annoying children and so much fucking candy. I’m not a vintage, classic, flavor extravagant, exotic and rare exported candy type of gal. But if you are, you should check it out. The sign was cool!
Tumblr media
Let’s talk about Olive. One of my goals for this year was to achieve potty training. Well, that’s achieved!! Olive is such a wonderful support. It’s such a wonderful feeling to come home to a pet that loves you unconditionally.
Tumblr media
Other than the potty training, not much has changed wit her. She is still a complete badass - see image above. She loves playing at the dog park, playin’ with toys, eaten’ food, treats, and poop, and cuddlin’ with her Mama. Olive can shake, sit, catch, drop, roll over, lay down, speak, and stay. She is quite the catch!
In late May, I went back to Colorado to visit my sister and nephew for the first time since his birth in December!
Tumblr media
We didn’t do too much on this trip for tourism, other than visit Garden of the Gods. See images below. It was such a wonderful trip to spend time with family and bond with my sister and nephew. It was a trip full of laughs, food, and marijuana. I am so blessed that my sister came into my life. My nephew is such a (cliche) bundle of JOY!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WOW! I am just realizing how far behind I am on documenting my goals and adventures. This is a lot.
In early June, Eddie and I went to a Twins Game at Target Field. I had an absolute blast. The game went into the 15th inning. We definitely got our moneys worth, that’s for sure! It was so fun to laugh, cuddle, eat nachos out of a baseball hat, attempt to caught foul balls (There was at least, AT LEAST, 20 foul balls during that particular game), and yell at the refs and teams. It was fun to go to the game with someone that actually appreciated baseball and could get into the game with me. I cannot wait to go again! We are trying to plan another time to go. Maybe in September... I cannot believe that we will have been dating for a year come September 8th!
Tumblr media
A few weekends later, Eddie and I went to my cabin in Stockholm, Wisconsin TWICE in June.  It’s along Lake Pepin. If you haven’t ventured down to that area to complete the River Scenic Drive along the St. Croix, I would HIGHLY recommend you complete it ASAP. It is absolutely breathtaking in the summer and fall, plus it is only a 45 mins drive from the Twin Cities. As an added bonus, you can stop by the Stockholm Pie Shop. Its one of the 100 best restaurants in the United States. You heard that right, one of the one hundred best restaurants! Here are a few pictures I took from our weekend together.  See below. It was so amazing to have a *normal* date with Eddie. We cooked together, watched movies, went around Lake Pepin exploring the nearby cities, went for walks, ate pie, etc. I would classify it as he most normalized date we have ever had, just considering that he has a child and we usually are doing things around the cities; like baseball games. It was a nice reflection as to what could come if we ever choose to live together or go on trips in the future. I cannot wait to spend more time together in Stockholm!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a photo on me, stepping out of my comfort zone! See the swimsuit image below. I was super shy and mortified to wear this swimsuit in public for fear of looking fat or not fitting into my “mold of fashion”, but I wore it and I ROCKED it. This is a swimsuit piece that I never would’ve bought, but besides for the fact that I convinced myself that I need to step out of my comfort zone this year and try new things, which includes edgy clothing. I must admit, I still feel shy rockin’ that swimsuit in public, and this photo is somewhat posed, but in my opinion; this photo represents a girl who is taking a risk and loving what she is and what she has. I was to see her more often.
Tumblr media
Furthermore...haha. I got a new tattoo on my hip.  See the image below. I’m not in love with it, but I am getting there. I don’t feel like going into the long details of what happened, because then I get all worked up *arms flailing*, but long story short; the guy didn’t do exactly what I wanted him to do in terms of shading the pieces, but I have decided that I am going to let the piece heal and then determine my next steps of action.
My current thoughts: I would like to have the bottom two leaves removed and potentially attempt to correct some shading to make it more gradual and then add more - different - flowers in the future to make it a huge piece. I am trying to let this *mistake* build character. Is it working? I’m not sure, ask me again in six months. I think this piece has potential, in many different aspects of life: healing, removal, character, adding, beauty.
Tumblr media
Lastly, I have been researching Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was dx at the age of 15yrs old and placed on birth control because I wasn’t getting a regular period for over a year and when I did get my period it would be incredibly painful. Unfortunately, PCOS is a very rare disease and many women live with it.  And even more unfortunately, it is the number one leading cuase of infertility in women. At the age of 15 I didn’t care. I thought birth control was a magic pill. I thought it solved all my issues; I was getting a normal period again. I was fine, right? No!
I had never once thought that PCOS could be the leading cause of my weight gain, until about 3 months ago when I watched an instgramers youtube vlog, which detailed her life long struggle with PCOS and weight loss. It was very eye opening, enough so much so  that I began to research PCOS day and night. In women with PCOS you can develop cysts on your ovaries, have irregular periods, have increased testosterone (all the reasons I was placed on birth control to begin with - to manage those symptoms), acne, weight gain, hair loss, mood swings, depression, and increased risk for diabetes and cervical cancer. Luckily I do not carry too many symptoms, but from my personal research I discovered that cutting out dairy (which I did back in October - fully) and gluten can really assist in managing symptoms of the syndrome. So, since mid-June I have been dairy, whey, soy, and gluten free. Obviously, this is incredibly difficult, but I really try to eat clean and eliminate those ingredients as much as possible.
Furthermore, I even went to see a doctor. Luckily all my labs and ultrasounds came back positive, except for the A1C - which looks at you blood sugars for the last 3 months and my fasting blood sugar. Unfortunately, this syndrome has a genetic link to diabetes. I do not know anyone in my family that has this syndrome, but there is a possibility. So, going forward, after I complete one more lab, my PCP has determined that he is going to put me on metformin to assist in managing my insulin resistance, because I am on the boarder of being pre-diabetic. I am not thrilled about being on a long-term medication, but if it’s going to keep my insulin levels regulated and assist in my weight loss and overall healthy journey; then I am interested. At this time I am not diabetic or even pre-diabetic, but the medication will assist in helping me lose weight by managing my insulin - as my body cannot do it due to PCOS. Furthermore, I must take a daily multivitamin, Calcium Cirtate - as I don’t eat dairy, and a probiotic - digestion issues. In the future I may also take Fish Oil to assist with my omega-3, which can also assist with my insulin and blood sugar levels, but I would like my body to acclimate to the other medications and vitamins prior to introducing more. I really have high hopes for this medication, food lifestyle change, and clinical monitoring. (If you have any further questions about PCOS, my labs, blood test results, how to diagnose, etc. Please ask. That was an incredibly shortened version and really was stretched out over 2 months as I am still completing lab work) :)
Now, I just need to reintroduce exercise. I have decided that I am going to complete the 21 Day Fix exercise videos for the next 21 days. After I complete that, then I will decide what I need to do next. But for now, its the 21 day fix videos. I plan on waking up at 6:15am to complete the videos. Here are my before photos:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am currently weighting in at 196.4lbs. This year I started at 209lbs!! My current measurements:
Waist: 37 inches
Hips/Butt: 46inches
Bust: 43 inches
R Arm: 15 inches
L Arm: 14inches
R Calf: 16.5 inches
L Calf: 16.5inches
R Thigh: 25 inches
L Thigh: 24.5 inches
Neck: 15inches
Fun fact: I started therapy! I love it an plan to continue going throughout the rest of the year. I do not plan on disclosing any personal information about my sessions on this page.
Flashback to my goals - I have revised again:
-Continue to lose weight - goal 170lbs. I have lost 12.6lbs this year. I would like to weight 188lbs by the time Holly and I go to Italy.
-Olive should be potty training by the end of the year - complete
-Stop biting and picking my nails - complete (Always on going)
-Save Money - ongoing. I would like to have $3000 in the personal saving by the end of the year. (All together, personal, HSA, paying for Italy, etc. I have saved, roughly $3000 this year)
- Eliminate Credit Card debt - I suck at this. It is back up. I am disappointed in myself. But I haven’t spent on it in over 1 month and have a plan to pay it off. I’m not worried. Although I am worried about that health bills I will accumulate from the doctors visits that I had these past two months. I am hoping the amount of money that I put in my HSA will cover the entire cost.
-Read 12 books this year - HA! I will read as I fucking please. I don't like this goal.
-Research grad schools - I don't feel ready for Grad School. I feel stuck. I want more time to determine what I would like to study. I want more field experience, I NEED more money. These are all things I can work on in the next year. My original original original goal was to apply for grad school in the fall of 2018, which is still achievable, soooooo lets start there. This subject stresses me out and it shouldn’t it; it should feel fun!
-New goal: drink more green tea with cinnamon - it’s good for my syndrome!
I can't remember any of my other goals.....I will need to look back and refresh this update once I have revisited my first post. Obviously they were not as important as the ones listed above...hahahaha!
Until next time....I’ll be back!

3 Solutions For Surviving Healthcare Collapse In 2018
My weekly letter, Connecting the Dots, has two goals: to be informative and to be thought-provoking (subscribe here for free). Last week, it accomplished both—but not the way I expected.
Many people call the Affordable Care Act a great success that only needs minor adjustments. So when I picked the title of last week’s issue, How to Survive the Obamacare Collapse, I thought some people would be upset that I questioned its viability.
Oddly, that didn’t happen. I got more than 60 responses, and no one even tried to defend Obamacare.
Apparently, we all agree it's not working. What we mainly disagree on are the reasons—and the best strategies to fix it.
The fact is, if Obamacare isn’t available in 2018, or is so expensive no one can afford it, millions of Americans will have no health insurance.
I asked my readers for ways to reduce and control this risk, and they responded.
Here are some of their ideas.
Health Insurance Hacks
I suggested looking for short-term medical coverage if Obamacare becomes unavailable in your area. Reader Mike E., a Colorado insurance broker, added some details.
Temporary insurance will probably continue to be available since it's not under the ACA restrictions. But there are several caveats:
Not only will it not cover preexisting conditions, many of the temp insurance carriers will deny any coverage if you show preexisting conditions on your application form, even common things like moderate hypertension. Leaving such details off the application is a risky prospect, because the carrier can deny all claims if they find you've falsified information. And if they're receiving major claims, they'll probably look for a reason to deny them.
The biggest downside is the total benefit limit. As far as I know, there are no plans available with a limit above $2 million. Nonetheless, temp insurance is a good option if you can qualify.
Some readers may be in a position to change their permanent residence (e.g., to a second home). Traditionally, the choice of which to use has been based on state tax rates, but now access (and cost) of health insurance may be a bigger factor.
We have been selling quite a few “microgroup” plans, partly because group insurance is the only way to get a PPO plan in Colorado for 2017. Generally, the carriers require at least two participants, one of whom has no ownership stake. (Some carriers apply other rules, including whether 1099 employees are eligible and count.) Apparently, the working population is overall considerably healthier than the non-working population, and thus the group health insurance market hasn't seen the turmoil that the individual market has.
On small-group insurance, Ray H. said to consider using a PEO, Professional Employer Organization—what was once called employee leasing. I’ve been such an employee before (of John Mauldin, actually, many years ago) and we had big-company-style benefits. It’s worth investigating if you are self-employed.
Another idea: It may be a good time t0 go to school (or go back and learn some new job skills). Some community colleges have student group health plans open to part-time students of any age. The rates are low because the group is mostly young—but you have to be a legitimate, enrolled student and pay tuition. That might outweigh the lower premiums.
Healthcare Cost-Sharing
From Richard J.:
Many thanks, Patrick for your letter this morning; it's right on. And thank you for finally mentioning the religious healthcare alternative, which is getting little to no mention at all. I am relatively healthy and have been with an alternative care for 2 years now.
The savings are huge, bigger than all my investing profits during the same time, and if you’re healthy and following the suggestions in your letter, it is smart, it feels good to help others, and it's good to know some program that really works is behind you. Keep on doing the good work.
Richard refers to the handful of religious cost-sharing cooperatives that received a special exemption in the Affordable Care Act. Participating in one satisfies the Obamacare individual mandate even though they are not “insurance” per se.
So what are they? Here’s a succinct description from US News:
Begun more than 20 years ago as an alternative approach to managing growing health care costs in the U.S., members “share” in medical bills instead of paying for insurance. In some ministries, participants receive a letter about another member’s medical bills each month and send a check for a set amount directly to that member. Sometimes they include notes of encouragement, Bible verses, or even gifts.
The ministries are big cooperative agreements in which people help each other with medical bills. There’s no guarantee you will get help when you need it. Nonetheless, several readers reported good experiences, so check it out. You can learn more in the article linked above and also at the Alliance for Health Care Sharing Ministries site.
Good Advice from Healthcare Professionals
From Bill B., a retired physician:
If you have insurance now:
Be sure your blood pressure is under control. Strokes and heart attacks are horrifically expensive to treat.
Get your skin examined by a dermatologist; skin cancers are exceedingly common, especially in sun-exposed areas. Treatments can be expensive.
The skin exam is something people forget. My wife Grace is a longtime hair stylist. Many times, she’s seen an unusual spot on someone’s head and urged them to get it checked. Usually the spots were nothing—but some turned out to be malignant and could have been fatal, had the person not sought treatment.
If you have insurance, it likely includes a free annual wellness visit with a primary care physician. Use that benefit now… while you still have it.
Make Dietary Changes Now
Here’s some good input from Michael S., via Facebook:
Let's be honest about the #1 cause of our “high health care cost—poor results” situation. It is the terrible eating habits of our population, greatly influenced by the government’s suggestion to reduce fats in our diets. The reduced fats were replaced with poor-quality carbohydrates and sugar, and that has led to increasing rates of obesity in the population and declining health.
I don’t know if it’s the #1 cause, but clearly our sedentary lives and poor diets are major problems.
But can changing them reduce your financial risk? I think so.
Several readers pointed out that the American diet is much worse than those in other countries where medical costs are lower. There’s a reason for that.
Food and eating habits spring from geography. For instance, tropical island cultures eat lots of fish and fruit because that’s what is handy. Subarctic cultures eat a lot of fat from whale blubber and walrus.
Here in the US, our native foods are carb-heavy grains. We eat lots of corn and wheat because our Great Plains are the ideal environment for growing them, and we have a river system to ship them.
Alas, the refined grains we eat are turned into sugars by the human body. Add to that a car-based culture where people don’t walk as much, and we’re set to gain weight.
Worse, you can be obese and malnourished at the same time: according to a 2015 Guardian article, 85% of Americans don’t consume enough of the most important vitamins and minerals necessary for proper physical and mental development.
So we develop diabetes, joint problems, heart disease, and more. And in the last decade, the costs of treating these conditions have exploded.
Quick personal anecdote: About eight years ago, I was 40 pounds overweight. What helped me was a doctor-supervised low-carb diet called Ideal Protein. Over time, it changed my eating habits, so I lost those pounds and kept them off.
Yoga helped too. Your head needs to be in the right place, or nothing will work.
If you’re struggling with weight loss, stick with it. Losing even a few pounds will help reduce your health risks.
Healthcare Options Abroad
From Kenneth S.:
One alternative would be to look at other countries. Particularly if you have relatives you can stay with or want to vacation in an area. Friends have had prostate and carpal tunnel surgery in Colombia at a cost less than the co-pay on their insurance. Their experience has been as good as any friends’ with similar surgery in the US.
I’ve heard of this. Some hospitals in Thailand, for example, reportedly deliver US-quality treatment at a fraction of the price. The savings are enough to pay travel expenses, too. This will no doubt become more popular if Obamacare falls apart.
Breaking the Logjam
I hope these ideas help.
As I said, there's a time to debate better systems, but right now I am more concerned about 2018. It may take a major crisis to break the political logjam.
